April Creator of the Month: Aallotarenunelma
Tumblr media
Each month, CFWC highlights one of our talented fanfic writers or artists, and this month’s creator of the month is the lovely @aallotarenunelma! The writer is selected at random. More info can be found on the navigation page. Past COTM's can be found here.
Quick Links:
Tumblr Blog My Masterlist
How do you want to be known on Tumblr?
Aallotar is fine. I am agender. My pronouns are they/them.
More below...
1- When did you start playing Choices? What was the first book you played?
I saw the app being highlighted a lot in Google Play in 2017, but it was only at the end of February-beginning of March 2018 that I downloaded it. It was when Perfect Match 1 started releasing and shortly before Bloodbound 1 began releasing. Time is flying!
There were already a lot of books, and it was a bit overwhelming. I chose the series that was being heavily advertised: The Royal Romance.
2- When and why did you join Choices fandom?
I joined the Choices sub-Reddit in July 2019, then the Tumblr fandom in April 2020.
I first joined the sub because I wanted to discuss the books and the characters, and hopefully befriending other players. It was lonely to read the books, and having no one to share my opinions and theories with. Then, I took a step back from it and after lurking a bit, I joined the Tumblr community.
3- How did you pick your blog name?
When I joined Tumblr, in April 2020, it was initially to be a Writblr. I was writing a story about a heroine named Aallotar. Its title gave my blog’s URL. My blog’s title is its English translation: Aallotar’s dream.
In the end, my blog turned into a bit of everything.
4- Pull up the first post in your archive, and tell us about it!
This is my very first post. This is my original writing, conveniently mentioned right above. :)
5- Do you write fanfiction, create fan art, or are you one of those really gifted people who do both?
I define myself as an artist because I create. This is how I express myself. It doesn’t matter if the pencil I use is to write or to draw as long as I create. Before I started learning how to draw, I was always saying that I was drawing with words. To me, this is what writing is. I draw and paint with my words to depict stories that my characters want me to tell.
I mostly write, but I also create fan art, such as sketches and various kinds of edits: quotes, sprites, moodboards, etc.
6- How long have you been creating for Choices and for any other fandoms?
For the defunct app Lovestruck, from December 2020 to October 2021.
For Choices, since April-May 2020.
7- What is your favorite Choices book, and what is your favorite Choices book to create for?
My all-time favourite Choices book is Veil of Secrets. I adore it!
I heavily create for the It Lives Anthology - the three books - and also for Immortal Desires. I love these books so much that I made a crossover, and most of the characters from the Anthology and from ID have met and even befriended each other.
8- Share your first Choices fanfic or fan art that you posted with us. Do you still like it, or would you change it if you were creating it today?
My first Choices fiction is a Blades one: Of Stardust and Light.
I still love it and I wouldn’t change anything - except the typos and the clumsy grammar/syntax, due to the fact I am not an English-native speaker.
For a long time, I thought it was my masterpiece, that I wouldn’t write something as good or even as better than this. But I proved myself wrong in the end.
The other reason why I wouldn’t rewrite it now is because I have definitively stopped writing for my Blades pairing, Tyril x Soile. I made it official a few months ago, and this decision is final.
9- What is your favorite piece of fiction or art that you created?
It’s really hard to choose only one, but I do have a soft spot for Répondez, S’il Vous Plaît ! #3 because this is where I tell about my OCs’ Ash and Skylar’s meeting. It was a story I wanted to write for a long time and I love it.
Chronicles of a Crimson Summer deserves to be mentioned as well. This is the longest story I have shared here, and it’s a real balance of angst, fluff, and funny moments. Also, because its birth was extremely painful, so for all of these reasons, I am glad I wrote it and shared it.
10- Do you have a fic/art that you didn’t expect to be well received, but it was? What about one you expected to do well but found it could use a little more love?
I never expect anything I share to be well received, whether it’s a fiction or a drawing. I’m only sharing it, hoping that at least someone will find it and enjoy it. Even better if it helps the person in any way.
That said, sharing my art remains a lot more difficult than sharing my writing, so any art reblog is leaving me a bit confused, due to my imposter syndrome.
Most people here who are familiar with my stories have read some of the funny stories I have shared, as well as the fluffiest stories I have ever written - sometimes too fluffy for me.
However, this isn’t only what my writing is about. Darker Than Night has generated so much indifference that it saddens me.
This series really shows what my writing is, minus the layer of humour that you can usually expect. It truly deserves better, just like In Joy and Sorrow, that actually gives a good idea of what my writing really is.
11- (WRITERS) If you could write only angst, fluff, or smut for the rest of your writing life, which would it be and why?
I usually share a lot of fluff here, because the world outside is hard, so I want to uplift people with sweet and funny stories. However, my original writing is usually angsty with some funny and fluffy moments to alleviate all the angst a little. So, I’m choosing angst. Definitely. To me, writing angst is comforting.
11a - (ARTISTS) If you could only draw one style or type of art for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I could easily do oil pastels for the rest of my life. It’s an easy technique to learn, it’s very forgiving, it’s calming, and I love how it looks.
12 - Do you ever recognize yourself in any of your MCs or in your writing?
I am agender and aspec, so in any non-binary and/or aspec MC / OC of mine can be found parts of me, regardless of how they define themselves on those large spectrums. Representation is highly important to me, so this is one of the recurring themes in my writing.
Also, the witty/sarcastic and playful characters are easy to write because I know them too well!
13 - What element of writing/art do you struggle with most?
Finding the right word is difficult, either in English or in my native tongue. I always want to capture the emotion, the feeling, the landscape with the perfect word. I’m still learning in my daily life.
Regarding my art, at the level I am right now, that would be shadows. Sometimes, they look great, but they often don’t. Practice makes perfect, so this is what I do whenever I can.
14 - Do you have any neglected work you really want to finish?
I tend to have only one WIP that I see to end. One reason for this is that I usually write my stories in a notebook, before I type them down to share them. The state of the notebook is not always great; I even sometimes struggle to re-read what I corrected!
If it’s about my original work, then, yes, I want to finish that one novel’s second draft.
15 - If someone you know in real life (who isn’t involved in fandoms) asked to see your work, would you let them? If yes, what would you show them first?
It has actually happened with one of my siblings. At that time, I was only writing for Blades and had maybe like five stories posted. I let my sibling read them because we are close. For other people, I think it would be on a case-by-case basis, but most likely not. I'd rather make them read my original writing, if my shyness isn’t getting in the way.
16 - Are there any writers (published authors and/or fanfic writers) who influenced your writing or art? Are there any artists that influence you?
Émile Zola and Arto Paasilinna are my all-time favourite writers.
I am learning from every fanfiction writer I am reading. First, because I read in a foreign language. Second, because I believe you learn from everyone every day.
In terms of art, I don’t think I have a particular influence. I am still exploring my style.
17- (WRITERS)  Which one of your stories would you most like to see as a movie/series?
It would be In Joy and Sorrow. I created this It Lives in the Woods AU series to give a life to my first MC, Riikka. The one she couldn’t have. In this series, I talk about close friendships, coming outs, being bilingual/bicultural, how to navigate a romantic relationship as an aspec*, how to deal with bullying/harassment, etc. I talk about timeline collapse and time-travelling as well.
And because there’s the most delightful OC ever, my all-time favourite: Ash. He truly is one of a kind and his friendship with Dan is really something special.
*aspec: a person on the aromantic and asexual spectrums.
18 - (ARTISTS) Which one of your creations would you like to see a fiction written about?
I don’t have any yet that would justify the honor of having a fiction being written about.
19- Do you write original fiction or create non-fandom art?
I started writing when I was 10 years old. It was thanks to an assignment for my native tongue class when we were studying the structure of a fairytale. I really enjoyed writing one, so I kept writing over the summer. Little stories about everything and nothing.
I wrote my first novel when I was 13, but never dared to send it to a publisher. I kept writing novels - and not sending them, I have a nice collection, now! - and branching out in other forms of writing, in hope to develop as a writer: rpg forums, poetry, (fan)fictions, creative writing course, etc. I took a ten year break from writing (fan)fictions before returning to them.
I am working on the second draft of a novel about grief, and I have three other different novels already outlined.
Regarding art, I mostly create non-fandom art.
20-  What other hobbies do you have?
Except writing and drawing; I paint murals and do oil pastel; I do theatre; I design and crochet my own clothes.
I enjoy watching old films, Hollywood era and silent ones included, but modern films as well, if they are excellent.
I love learning foreign languages, listening to music and going to gigs.
I am also a true race car enthusiast, preferably Formula races - F1 to F4, Formula Regional included.
I also enjoy going for walks in nature and travelling.
21: Tell us anything you’d like (if you want to).
I want to thank CFWC for highlighting me, and giving me the chance to talk more about my characters, my stories, my writing and my art. This means a lot, especially as this month is also when I’m celebrating my 4 year Tumblr Anniversary.
Thank you for your support throughout these years!
I want to thank so many people, but I’m also scared to miss any of them!
Thank you to my friends, old and new. 💛
Thank you to everyone who has read and reblogged my stories and left kudos and comments on them. It has been helping me so much in believing in myself and my writing.
Thank you to everyone who has reblogged my art and my edits and left comments on them.
Thank you to every talented person who has gifted me a piece of their beautiful art, written or not, anonymously or not.
Thank you to everyone who has asked about my characters and my stories.
Thank you to everyone who has sent me positive and uplifting messages.
Lastly, thank you to every single person who has supported me these past months, in many different ways. Your kindness and your presence have made a difference, and I am grateful for those and for you all.
And a special shoutout to my fellow rainbow creators! 🌈

Talking about Vivziepops' weird art of minors
I've never been the biggest fan of Vivziepop, I've always knew about their weird behavior (since like 2018 ~ 2019) before they were as popular as they are now.
She has done a lot of weird stuff but the thing I mainly wanna focus on in this post is their character Addison. Addison is a 17 year old gay effeminate fox humanoid from Zoophobia, he's in a relationship with a 19 year old Teacher's assistant named Gustav. Many people get confused by this but Addison has been CONFIRMED to be 17 years old by Vivziepop. Someone had changed Addison's Fandom Wiki page back in 2019 to say they're 18, when this is not true, Vivzie has confirmed they're 17. I did go back and change the age to 17 on the Wiki with the correct age in hopes that people stop believing incorrect information.
Vivzie confirming their age: https://twitter.com/vivziepop/status/1128064633166712832
Tumblr media
The tags in this post brings up the fact that Addison is nearly 18 - not 18 yet - They're still 17.
Tumblr media
Edit: Oh yeah, I want to add on context to this tag: "I should mention the characters canon ages are higher then when I first made them because as I wrote the story any big age gaps were uncomfy"
I've heard multiple older fans of Vivziepop say that Addison was originally meant to be 14-15 years old, and I've heard that Gustav was originally meant to be in his 30s.
Addison was created 2010, She began shipping Gustav with Addison in 2011, and Zoophobia began in 2012. So the fact she shipped a 14-15 year old character with a 30 year old one to begin with, and encouraged her friend to draw intense NSFW art of them together is so.. weird.
Anyways, Vivzie also hints at Addison being a minor, using wording indicating how young they are in age in their Blogpost introducing the character
"I finally created a few concepts, but the one I have been toying with the most is a young character much like Gale. An albino boy, with an identical albino sister"
If you need more proof, Addison is also preyed on by Mirage, a character that SPECIFICALLY goes after minors... that's basically her main personality trait, that she's a p3d0. She goes after Addison because he's a young submissive boy and easy to manipulate.
Anyways, back on topic. I personally I don't see anything wrong with the age gap of 17 & 19, however I do think it's weird to have this relationship between Addison and Gustav.. he's not exactly a teacher, but he still holds power over Addison due to the fact he's the voluntary teacher's assistant. Back when Zoophobia was popular there were people who found this dynamic weird & creepy considering the fact that Addison is basically a student under Gustav. Also, I just wanna bring this up because I find this weird, Gustav was originally under the impression that Addison was a year one student and much younger than he actually is, yet he still tried to flirt with him.. erm..? Yeah..
Tumblr media
Anyways, that isn't the main point. The point is that Vivzie DREW NSFW OF HER 17 YEAR OLD CHARACTER AND HIS 19 YEAR OLD TEACHER... erm.. holy cracker balls? Literally how can anyone excuse these?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vivzie also drew Gore of Addison too, but I won't post it here cus it's very graphic and weird and idk why she drew it!!
And .. possibly the worst drawing of them all.. Holy titties what is this... If you're wondering, the stuff under the censors is ACTUAL NSFW. It's not suggestive, or implied s3x, It's their ACTUAL WEE WEEs.
Tumblr media
These accounts are poorly archived, so it's hard to find the original post and what it originally said. However after some digging I was able to find out the original text said
“ dollcreep: “ i can only see ‘dark-Günter’ exposing him and addi to a public area like so…so. yeah. Günter says; merry Christmas. god this question is super old. vivz reminded me about it"
So, I'm assuming that Dollcreep drew this, not Vivzie. However I was also able to find out from the limited resources there is that Vivzie reposted this to her accounts Vivzie-zp (unarchived) and ZPanswers, which are also now deleted, but if you view the accounts tumblr archives over the Wayback machine you can see that she did indeed repost this. http://web.archive.org/web/20120801182958/http://zpanswers.tumblr.com/archive
If you don't know, Dollcreep and Vivzie used to be best friends, however aren't anymore. Dollcreep originally designed Gustav, originally named Gunter, and Vivzie bought the design from them. Vivzie designed Addison back around 2010, and taking into account the old caption, this means that Vivzie.. allowed Dollcreep to draw NSFW art of their underaged character ;-; oh my gawd!!! Whatthe heck guys... like I said at this time Addison was still 14 - 15 and Gustav (Gunter) was in his 30s.
Also I want to mention that this drawing was from 2011, so that means Vivzie had this pedophilic ship with Dollcreeps OC for years, & after she bought the rights to the character she decided to.. keep the pedophilic ship and write it into Zoophobia by making him Addisons teacher. That's crazy..?
Anyways, because I brought up Mirage. Mirage is written pretty bad. She was a character meant to be in.. or scrapped from Zoophobia, she was meant to be a villain who preyed on the kids, mainly Addison. Her main trait is that she likes kids
Tumblr media
Vivzie's made a bunch of drawings of Mirage preying on kids which I think is pretty weird, especially considering how poorly some of them represent it and make it seem like a joke instead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
and yeah, we all know about this infamous drawing she made of Mirage preying on Kestrel, a 14 year old. Pretty weird
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also when I looked at the web archive of Vivzie's ZPanswers blog (a Zoophobia ask blog) she accepted many weird asks about Kestrel, 14, and Addison, 17, like an ask asking if Kestrel had ever been fucked by a horse & how Kestrel, Addison & others would act when they were drunk. Which is also pretty weird to me I won't lie
Anyways that's all for now. Sorry if this is all over the place its 4am and I just wanted to get my thoughts out that vivziepop is kinda a weirdo

holy shit this year marks 10 years of this blog and moz!! i can't remember the exact date i started posting here - my archive says i have one post from november 2013 but let's disregard that - but i do remember it was around late 2014/early 2015 :)
Tumblr media
^ one of the very first moz art pieces i ever drew, for fallout week 2015!!
memories and art through the years under a read more bc it got long
2014 → baby's first rpg!! i started playing fnv on my cousin's jailbroken xbox late 2013 and finished mid 2014 and i loved every minute of it. i remember waking up at 8am and playing almost nonstop until 2am the next day haha!
i didn't play moz on my first playthrough - but i did start creating a character that would eventually become her: a shorthaired ex-boxer who punched her way through obstacles when diplomacy failed. i remember she spent a lot of time with boone. i liked him then, because he saved my ass more times than i can count. but i digress. this is draft 1 moz essentially
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2015 → this is the year that i was doing my thesis so i could graduate but i was so depressed and stressed about it that i distracted myself by replaying fnv on pc, where i played through the dlcs for the first time. i fell in love with the dlcs' oversarching story; particularly ulysses, who i became obssessed with, especially since i couldn't find any content of him at the time. in the game, i played as moz; i had most of her personality and choices down, but her backstory was still up in the air.
fun fact: this was an existing sideblog that i remade to be a fallout blog so i could look for ulysses content, and when i couldn't find any, i made some myself, featuring moz as my main courier six. originally, i didn't ship them, but eventually i ended the year as a courier/ulysses otp shipper.
this was the year i started drawing digitally - my uncle let me borrow a drawing tablet and i used an old copy of photoshop i pirated hehe
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2016 → i graduated this year!! and promptly fell deeper into my depression. this was the year that it got so bad that i had to be medicated. through it all, this blog and moz and ulysses and my fandom friends were with me. and for that i am truly grateful :) this was the year i figured out how to lock transparent pixels so that i could color my lineart lol
Tumblr media
2017 → i started hammering out moz's backstory this year i think. there's a lot of sketches of her and her family in my files. i experimented with shading and backgrounds here but that experimentation was pretty short-lived
Tumblr media
2018 → i started using references seriously!!!! i did a lot of oc on oc kissing this year, featuring mostly moz and many friend ocs haha
Tumblr media
2019 → didn't draw much this year. actually this year was a blur and i can't remember much from it except from it being the year of my terrible no good bad copywriting jobs... anyway i did manage to continue my courier/ulysses brainrot and make this piece, which i'm still proud of
Tumblr media
2020 → pandemic time. i spent a lot of time asleep at home and i think this was also the year i started doing commissions?? shoutout to anyone who has ever commissioned me - thank you so much, i truly appreciate it!!
Tumblr media
2021 → i switched from my old-ass pirated photoshop to clip studio paint and never looked back. also i did a bunch of commissions for my grandmother's surgery, which failed, and i distracted myself from the sadness by drawing my ocs over and over and playing disco elysium
Tumblr media
2022 → by this year, i've got moz down pat and have started vaguely developing other ocs instead. but she's still always at the back of my mind
Tumblr media
2023 → i bought new brushes from true grit texture supply and immediately found new favorites that i started using for everything. i tentatively started incorporating background elements in some pieces!
Tumblr media
2024 → while it's still too early to say where this year will lead me art-wise, i will say that i started experimenting in realistic paint studio (which i bought in 2021, the same time as clip studio paint) a few days ago and i'm liking the results so far. we'll see!
Tumblr media
all in all, these last 10 years have been quite a ride, but i'm glad i stuck around and i'm glad you guys stuck around too!! much much love 💖💖💖

“I’ll be fine, in the end. Hopefully.”
The 13th Doctor drawing that took me almost 3 years to finish.
I originally started it in 2019, one day before the year anniversary of 13’s first episode. I could write a novel about all the time that’s passed since then, but I’ll spare you. The spark notes version is that my mom almost died while I was drawing this. And then she did die. And then the pandemic started. And then a bunch of other horrible stuff happened back to back to back to back.
I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to finish this drawing to commemorate the end of Jodie’s era. Since her regeneration will likely be airing right before my mom’s death date, I figured it’d be better to do this early. I have a lot of complicated feeling about these two things happening so close together. I honestly have a hard time thinking about it without crying. October is just filled with so much bad. The thought of saying goodbye to one of the few good things aches in a way I can’t explain.
I’ve spent so much time grieving the person I used to be before watching my mom die. These past few years have turned me into a different person with different needs. 13’s arc allowed me to see and understand this new version of myself. She helped me feel less alone when I felt angry and scared and sad and broken and very, very lost.
This drawing was originally meant to honor 13, but I think it also honors me now. The person I’ve grown into during her time and all the painful becoming that had to happen before I could finish this.
I don’t think bad things happen for a reason, but I think we can find reason in what does. There are some parts of me I’m glad didn’t survive the past few years. I’m learning to be proud of the me that I’ve built from the pieces of who I was. Looking at this drawing makes me feel grateful for who I am right now and reluctantly hopeful for the person I can become. And sometimes, a little bit of reluctant hope is all you need.
Thank you, 13, for reminding me of that.
Thank you, Jodie, for being my Doctor.

It's my 5 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳 --- Wow it's been 5 years since I tried to learn to draw properly and post them here 😅
Long rambling under the cut
Honestly it was pretty challenging for me because my study (when I started this blog) was pretty intense, also I live at home, commute every day to go to class so finding time & energy to draw is out of the window. I'm always amazed that most of my fav artists are real university students too, who probably have it even harder than me but they can draw a lot better... So why can't I??
The thing that I learned over time is, I improved faster when I draw fan arts. Because I have real and strict references to follow, unlike when I do OC where I usually just random bullshit go. That's why you see me posted fan arts more here. I just do my favorite fandom to motivate myself lol.
I am a picky person regarding fandom because mentally I can't handle so many heartbreaks (HAHA). And I need a fandom with diverse things to draw. Fate series is very perfect for me. I really like their ideas and the characters are just challenging. I've been into it since 2016-2017 and my pre-Fate art compared to today is... dkgeagwefgwk. I owe my skill growth to this fandom. My first post here was a Tomoe Gozen fan art 😂
I got into radar twice (which is still weird and unbelievable) because of a Noragami FA and my first A:TLA FA ever posted. Which was funny, because I don't draw them that much. But then again, my first "exposure" was from a random Taylor Swift ink art for a random inktober in 2019. That was so surreal lol.
Maybe you notice another fandom I draw a lot too, yes the game of all people in this world: Genshin Impact. Man, I started the game in release and thought "I have to make at least one fan art with the scenery of the game, and maybe this gonna be my first and last GI fan art." And look where we are now. I didn't expect this game would blow up, I believe the first FA I posted was one of the earliest Genshin post on tumblr 😂.I started doing GI FA also because I am mesmerized by the landscape and want to draw landscapes better. You see, there's this kind of reason in EVERY media I'm involving myself into. I simply like pretty and cool things. Sadly at some point the fandom is hell, so I like to take a step back sometimes.
Few months ago I also did some vtubers FA. Although mostly HoloID only, simply because I'm proud of them. Vtuber community has this unique relationship between Vtubers and derivative works, so you can feel real accomplishment when you showed your work to them.
Still, I still highly prefer to make real good original art and story someday. For now, I guess I have to grind first, because my current level is still not where I want to be yet to achieve that.
I use tumblr to post because I like the blogging and tagging system, however this site isn't popular in my country and my marketing for local cons isn't effective if I only use tumblr. I have IG, but I don't like it, thinking I should make twitter or something. AAaaA. My wish for now is to make many money with art lol (at least to supply my disposable income).
And some little things about myself, I'm working now, but not in creating art/design field. It's more of a history and research field (I do still interested in design... if I have the chance--yes I graduated from design thingy school). This blog is like... my creative outlet. The girl on my avatar is my OC Klappy, a gjinka of klappertaart. Klappertaart is the name of an Indonesian dessert (well, the name itself is dutch I guess) made from coconut topped with raisins. Dalr is an acronym from my real name. Thanks for reading, have a good day.

Past sketches of the Kawoshin fankids I worked on(with weird background info)
I made a post a bit ago about my & @tay-likes-toons's Kawoshin kids I thought I'd show the old sketches I made before. I've already explained the characters so unless something that wasn't mentioned needs added I'm not making another description for them.
Before I go on I want to mention that these were ideas made up from before the final movie in the Rebuild of Evangelion happened. I hadn't seen the Rebuild movies(let alone anything in the series past Kaworu & Shinji's interactions & Kaworu dying in the movie) but knew some stuff. The RPs were stuff got made up/weird attempts to add what I understood with our own ideas for how the series should end since it felt like the last film was never going to happen. I've tried to cut down on a lot of rambling but all you need to know is Kaworu some how cause Shinji to be an angel like him thanks to stuff in the time loops.(Cause I get the feeling Kaworu as an angel is immortal so he'd be separated from Shinji eventually thanks to Shinji's mortality & for some reason my solution is making Shinji also immortal) The kids are also angels thanks to this.
Adam, Ibuki(who has gone threw a few name changes), Kain & Evie were originally quadruplets but at some point aside from Ibuki & Kain they were all turned into different aged siblings. For whatever reason Evie stays in a baby/toddler form(angel ability), she can go into her actual form(her real age) when she wants & at some point eventually stays in it. Ibuki's design is based on draft anime Kaworu & Kain's is based on a sketch/prototype Kaworu were he had smoothed down hair with bangs swooping to the left.
Tumblr media
This is the first sketch I ever made of them, I forgot when I made this. Added Kaworu & Shinji cause it was meant to be a family pic. Most of them suffers from "I can't draw heights well enough so the legs are longer to make up for missing mass in the drawing". Shinji is kinda short compared to the rest of the family cause he's still learning to control his angel abilities. Also yeah Ibiki use to be named Satoshi for some reason, at one point he was named Gendo Jr cause in some RPs Gendo became a better dad that was on good terms with Shinji. I don't think Kain had a name at the time or it was changing a lot.
Tumblr media
This was posted July 24, 2019 which I'm guessing means this was made in 2019.
Everyone is a little more closer to how they look currently, also Kain's name was spelled with a "C" back then. Evie's adult form was meant to seem mysterious since she hides it.

So first and foremost, What is Gadeton exactly?
Unless you have read the “About” page on my website please skip this if you already know it.
If you can tell by the name of my studio, Gadeton is an independent studio made by me as it is considered to be the evolution of my past independent studios such as Quixolite, Kixubug, you name them all (though I really don’t like mentioning my past independent studios names by the way). As you can tell by the slogan for my independent studio, the slogan is “Retrofuturism of Entertainment”, which implies that one of my illustrations as well for my art style is heavily inspired from the art style in the late 90s to the 2000s. I’ve decided for my independent studio to focus more on quality rather than quantity. Since making too many series would be a time-consuming task to create from comics, to anything that would give me quite some stress.
So I have the opportunity of creating something that I could come up with from one of my experiences through my childhood and others that I could think through my mind. I’ve been drawing a ton of illustrations for a decade and boy it was a wild ride to have me experience this.
I’ve been working hard on one of my projects like Nachinko Buckets for example, in which it is planned to be released once I get the pilot of the script done, so I can start animating the pilot episode of the series.
However, there is something that I need to discuss that's been coming through my mind lately.
I was thinking of shifting the demographic of my independent studio to a more older demographic somewhere that is between the preteens (8-12) and the teens/young adult demographic (13-21). For what I have gather I was originally going to make my independent studio to focus more on the action, but I decided to scrap it in favor of a style that would take some influence from companies like 2Spot Studios for example and a ton of Newgrounds animations as well for the illustrations from the 2000s as well as many DeviantArt artist from the 2000s that have a similar style as well.
As a result of the demographic being shifted to a more slightly older audience, there will be some changes to one of my future projects, and here is a list of everything.
Fierwood and my other future project are merged to form The Renenocks!
Tumblr media
That’s right, my project Fierwood as well for my other future project featuring my character such as Monelope, Natochi, etc. are being merged back into The Renenocks. Meaning that I reverted my project back to Renetack. The reason why I made this decision is that I find the two of them to be quite similar to one another and the fact that the other future project set to be release in 2024 or later would not reach its quality and I deemed that this project seems to be too similar to Nachinko Buckets and the fact that demographic of my project did not reach its potential standards than I expected to be. So I decided to give myself the opportunity to merge the two together once again, and bring back three characters Boltrice, Innoton (now renamed Isaac), and Omeliot (now renamed Ollie). But this time, I decided to make it quite different as Isaac is now the main protagonist of my series with Boltrice and Ollie being the secondary protagonist as well. I also plan on rewriting most of the personalities and traits to all three of them, while giving Boltrice and Ollie a few traits from an old project back in 2019 known as Synthetic Charms, the project that the two originated from.
Here are the new designs for Boltrice, Isaac, and Ollie, which can be seen down below.
Tumblr media
I’m planning on reposting most of my characters that I drew on social media as well as updating their bios on my DeviantArt page. If you want more information about this project, please contact me on my other social media accounts as well as using my email. Let’s go on to the next change.
Further changes to Nachinko Buckets
As a result of me shifting the demographic to my independent studio, Nachinko Buckets will have some minor changes to the project as listed down below:
An unnamed minor French kid antagonist and Crunch are removed from the series I believe that the unnamed French kid antagonist was deemed to be too similar to Nerdy from A Day with Bowser Jr, and as for Crunch, I just don’t find Crunch to be that interesting to me as he feels like a carbon copy to Lorne from Kid vs. Kat.
Valentina Vinci and Heather Cameron will be moved to the role as voicing additional voices for each of the side or background characters in the show as a result of the removal of a minor French kid antagonist and Crunch.
I’m planning to rewrite some of the character’s personalities since I find some of the characters to be either too cliche, stereotypical, or rather too similar to my characters for one of my future projects.
Most of the surreal nature to the series is removed entirely, but parodies and references are still present though. The reason why the surreal nature is removed from the series is because of the changes that I made to the main location of Nadoville, as it doesn’t have any surreal nature to it anymore, though it still keeps the strange nature to it as many of the rules in the city is still strange akin like Wayside School.
Nanopia has been renamed to Nadoville
I think that’s pretty much it for all of the changes that I made for one of my two projects as a result of the demographic shift. To sum that up, I just wanted to try something new in order for me to achieve the quality that many creators out there that have their passion on their project and I could agree with anyone that do support independent creators throughout the world with animation studios such as Glitch Productions and other independent animators around the world, as well as indie game developers like Matt Makes Games and others that have their passion as well. So I want to focus more on the quality of one of my projects and hope it will be a hit for many audiences around here and knowing that it will reach the quality that I would expect to see for my future projects.
So with that out of the way, I hope you understand my decision to shift the demographic to a slightly older audience while keeping all of my projects safe for work. If you have any further questions please contact me via email or one of my social media accounts.
Anyways, I’ll see you then.

Review: “Heartstopper (Volume 1) by Alice Oseman
Tumblr media
OVERVIEW
For this category, I selected the first book in the Heartstopper series. I had a lot of books I was considering for this category and just couldn’t pick one from (very long) short list.  So, I did what I do in such situations and consulted an expert and asked my friend Aaron’s teenage daughter who is an avid reader and this was her suggestion. Aaron actually said their whole family has been reading this series and it’s much loved by all so I was sold.
The story is presented in graphic novel format and the visual storytelling works well overall for the narrative. The author/illustrator does some interesting visual things here and there but it’s not really drawn well at all. It’s hard to tell the characters apart because everyone looks basically the same and there are barely any backgrounds for most of the story so it’s just talking heads in fields of white. It’s interesting that this was adapted for the screen because the drawing style feels like a quickly-drawn storyboard for a future film production.
I read online that this graphic novel is based on very minor characters in another of the author’s books. Heartstopper was originally published as a webcomic on the author’s blog and that is exactly what this feels like visually–a quick collection of webcomics assembled not intended for print but that was printed later. The serial nature of a web comic also helps explain the episodic nature of each little scene. It’s not that the story doesn’t flow or feels choppy, just that it’s clear that it was drawn a few pages at a time over many weeks or months. At the time of this post, I’ve only read the first volume but I am definitely curious to see if the later volumes intended for print are drawn in a more thoughtful way.
RELEVANCE
This book is very age-relevant as it focuses entirely on high school-age characters. The characters are not terribly deep and the story is very straightward but nonetheless it feels very real.  It’s a very relatable story for teens as it involves a situation many teens find themselves in–a friendship that blossoms into a crush which may or may not be mutual; in this story it is mutual and that leads to an eventual first kiss and (maybe in later volumes?) first relationship. It’s a very sweet (somewhat predictable and optimistic) high school romance story of the “opposites attract” variety. For LGBTQIA+ teens it’s relatable as a coming out story, as a story of falling for someone who may not even be gay, and the possibly familiar and often toxic “friends with benefits” sort of situation.
DIVERSITY/INCLUSION
This book focuses almost entirely on white teenagers at a private all boys school. There are two peripheral characters in the main character’s circle who are not white–Tao Xu, a fellow student, and (I think) Tara Jones, a student from another school who appears briefly towards the end of the story. The author/illustrator, Alice Oseman, is white, British, and identifies as an aromantic asexual. So, other than the fact that it’s an LGBTQIA+ love story with an LGBTQIA+ author, it’s not very diverse in any other way.

hi gen time for the annual me explaining something since im seeing ppl in your asks not knowing. scutes is a name for a group of friends that formed from the very first hermitblr discord server back in 2018. this was even before evil xisuma fanclub which was the first *big* one. eventually scutes just became a private group of friends not related to hermitcraft. that's it. uhf- underrated hermit fanclub- was a separate public server made a bit later on, of which about half the mods were also in the scutes server.
back then many of us were against shipping, including myself, but everyone who was has either left a long time ago, is now neutral on it, or a shipper themselves.
after the events i described in this ask: <https://aroaceacacia.tumblr.com/post/660177626185580544/heyo-just-read-through-your-whole-2019-tag-and> , the people who left hermitzine's original organizing committee mostly being in the scutes discord server, and me complaining about what happened in what was again, a private chat with friends, several of miles' friends started publicly saying awful crap about us as a group. at that time a good chunk of people weren't even active in the hermitcraft fandom and of those who were most of them had nothing to do with this. their main thing was accusing us of "fandom policing" due to a few of us who were anti-ship at the time also having that same mindset about drawing the hermits doing drugs, which for some reason was a thing a lot of other anti-ship people were really into doing at the time. they also spread a lot of blatant lies, most prominent one being that we excused x's transphobia at the time because we didn't openly hate on him. (in actuality we were some of the first to publicly confront him about it both in the chat live of that stream while it was happening and afterwards on twitter, so no clue where they were coming from on that)
pretty much until the incident with cleo when they all finally left tumblr, this continued on and off. it did mostly just take place in various discords after the initial wave of them making tumblr posts, but it was still really bad at times. there were many specific incidents that i won't get in to because i wasn't at the center of them and it may bring up a lot of bad things for those who were. they're not my stories to tell.
i'll also mention two more things. miles did try to apologize to me early on in all this, before any of this escalated and was just a dumb argument over how to run a zine. i refused to accept his apology because i saw it as insincere when he had refused any of the compromises on how the zine should be run. second is that once the harassment on tumblr started i asked for advice on what to do in joe's patreon discord. joe was one of the people who responded, and at the time his response was pretty much just questioning why it was a problem and not really understanding the power structure of decentralized fandom. miles caught wind of this somehow and tried to get me to tell joe that what i had said wasn't true. something that i obviously refused to do.
i don't care about miles anymore, don't go trying to confront him about any of this or anything please. ive since gotten back into therapy (i wasnt at the time this all happened which def did not help the situation) and this is in the past. but a lot of other people have wounds that are still in the process of healing from this and would rather it not be talked about, especially by people who weren't involved in it, which is why there's been little to no public documentation of it.
- Aviva
thank you for the clarification aviva - you didn't have to do this, but I appreciate it. I'll try and make sure that this ask stays as the last time you'll need to talk about this. I hope you and everyone else involved are doing better now.
anons please be respectful of aviva & all other parties involved and lets leave it be

Road to Cream64 v1 Part 3: So many friends and an egg.
I was hoping to do two of these a week but man this has been a crazy week. Anyway, we back to wrapping up the rest of the NPCs. Actually had to grab
Tumblr media
Star Toads were next and I wanted to make each one unique. The thought process for who got chosen was a mix of who was connected to Cream and just who I liked. The obvious answers were Amy and Blaze and I ended up choosing Blaze for the second toad. Doesn't mean I would leave Amy hanging, as she got a little side story in v2, but when we get there of course.
Tumblr media
In Blaze's dialog, she mentions that Marine was also with her and that she's somewhere. So go help her find this mangy raccoon! I wanted to do something special and stick Marine in a level where you'd just run into her. Though with very limited code knowledge, even if you find Marine, Blaze's dialog stays the same. Mostly just a cute little event that would eventually fuel my desire to add more stuff like this in later versions. So much more...
Tumblr media
The first star toad as you can see here ended up being a leftover from a small edit I did when just figuring out dialog edits and stuff. Eventually just ran with the idea of a single stubborn toad who refused to leave when Peach gave the order for every toad to go on vacation for this party.
Tumblr media
Even after all the latest versions and dialog rewrites, his has been the only one that's stayed the same since v1. People really have come to love this little asshole.
For the last toad, I ended up choosing a little blue bunny for reason that should be clear: she be my bun bun.
Tumblr media
Around early 2020 is when I finally had gotten out of my weird funk about my drawing ability and stuff and finally started getting back into Sonic stuff. Bare with me for a bit for I must go into a tangent into what I've been doing for the past few years before all this.
Near the end of 2019 I started slowly getting back into Sonic AUs and OCs again, a bit of that can be attributed to the Sonic movie and my friend's revigorated interest into that part of the fandom. One of my oldest characters, Mark, was stuck in a weird limbo of being in a Sonic AU and being in an original story for a few years. It reached a point where I just tired of it and shelved him to focus on an entirely new story and characters unrelated to anything I've done before.
Now back to the start of 2020, I actually go out of my way to try and update his design and do some stuff with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we have our new design. I swear one day I'll go into his backstory but I'm dragging on. So where does this rabbit fit in? One of the new story bits I had in mind was that he would find a little rabbit named Katalina and adopt her. Then while he does his adventurin', he would leave her with Vanilla and that's how she would form a bond with Cream and the rest of her family. It's also why she calls Cream "Lil' Sis" in her dialog since she's like slightly older than Cream.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So yeah this hack is based off my AU, which is still mostly just told through these hacks. Don't blame people for getting real confused as to who the heck she is and eventually her adopted pappy. Sorry for the long bit, I rarely get a chance to speak about them as much like this. Speaking of, let's go back to him since that we're now done with the toads.
Tumblr media
Changing Yoshi was just like changing the other model though this is the first time changing someone's model who was bigger than the model swapped (in this case it's using Mario's rig on a model that's taller). The best way to describe it is that the root position is off so he's kind of sticking a bit on one side, even if his shadow looks fine. His collision is kind of wonky as a result.
I would end up leaving this for v1 but it is something I would fix down the line. It was just a matter of changing the root point or even moving the rig a bit before exporting. Also noting, Mark here has changed again, with Blaze like fur sticking out instead of the weird white hair flowing from the back. Saved me a lot of effort down the line, lemmie tell ya!
Ya know I guess I should at least show what they're latest designs are. From the ref sheets I got, made by my friend @fudgernutter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now time for the big boy. That's right, it's time for Eggman and his Egg Koopa Mk 2!
Tumblr media
God, this monster was one of the hardest thing to put together, if only just to uncrumple him so I can apply his textures and fix up the head mesh.
Tumblr media
WHY IS YOUR JAW SO FAR APART?! It was one of those that was so bad I had to write down which bone was moved and how much so I don't accidently mess up the whole thing. Gah, it was a mess but as the years have shown me, it was 100% worth the effort.
It wouldn't be the first time messing with Bowser's model and rig, as I did an edit for Super Suwako 64 by turning him into a Cirno cosplayer. Don't mind the missing jaw, had messed up rotating on of the bones. This is what can happen.
Tumblr media
The actual design of the EggBowz basically just comes down to "I wanted the robot to look as close as I can with him". So changed the hair to brown, the horn and spikes to gold to match Eggman's buckles, the upper torso is red to match his coat and the lower half is black for his pants and shoes. The mustache model is just his SA1's stache slapped on the front of the nose cause it seemed like something he would do.
Carving a hole into Bowser's head mesh wasn't too hard thankfully and then just repositioning Eggy to look like he's sitting and we're good! Still weird to think that it was initially just a random thought to actually do this but hey that's how half the ideas in his hack have worked out. Shoutouts to Cream nerds on twitter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And with that, we got every major character swapped out! I suppose the last reoccurring character not mentioned here would be Mips so I'll just stick him at the end here.
Tumblr media
Sonic is full of small animal critters so grabbing one of them was perfect for Mips. Ended up grabbing a model of Pocky from I forget either Smash 4 or a mobile game where the animal friends are there (and low poly). Everything here is still the Mips model except for the head obviously. Then just applying Pocky's textures and even connecting his ears so that they're a single mesh.
Whew that's a lot but there's not much else left. Just enemy models, UI stuff and the soundtrack and that's gonna be fun to discuss. Gotta see if I still have spreadsheets of the songs I chose before adding them.

Warrior OCs REDRAW
More warriors stuff >:)
Tumblr media
Artwork and Explanation below!
Tumblr media
This is something I had done between the years of 2017 to 2019. I honestly could not tell you where or when. I wasn’t really good at keeping track of or dating my artworks/sketchbooks, so I’m basing this off of the ages of the characters and the quality of art.
This is when I had been neck deep in the Warrior Cats fandom for the very first time, and had my main totally rad not-a-Mary-Sue totally original character: HiddenPelt. Big, muscled, lightning-striped mama who apparently liked to eat snakes in particular. I’d used her NON STOP back then (being kind of a really weird, really rude kid, not gonna lie. Couple of regrets from back then.), but she isn’t actually depicted in this piece! These are two of her kittens that had been conceived in an old roleplay I was in. I couldn’t be normal, so these were two of SIX babies she had that I tried to play as all at once lmfao. That’s actually one of the more fond memories I have, especially for everyone tolerating me.
CricketPaw and ???Paw are at a training clearing, and Cricket gets some revenge. This is one of the FIRST fully colored, “large” scenes I had done that was not forced upon me. This piece singlehandedly kickstarted the little colored warriors comics I’d continue to do (most were never posted).
Tumblr media
In 2021, I got a wild hair and decided it was fine time to redraw that old mess to see how I’d improved. This time with my new medium of choice, alcohol markers, and equipped with far more drawing experience, I redrew the two!
I can definitely say I’d done something right it making them look like they’d been fighting. I was highly focused on the characters over the background: making them the right size, giving them funky fur colors and more natural patterns, more dynamic poses, showing full bodies, actually shading, showing the mouthes, giving actual expression! But, the background was very lacking. Foreground leaves come out of nowhere, strange shading, the tree leaves are in the wrong spot, gaping hole in the right tree instead of a knot, the bushes just hide endless liminal field space, and there’s even a cheeky little circle+rays sun haha.
Tumblr media
Finally, TODAY! I chose to do it with watercolors on a square sheet of paper, because each time I’ve done this I’ve chosen my preferred/most comfortable finished-art medium at the time.
This time, I was going FULL background focus. Setting up the trees properly, making the grass form around things, putting leaves where they’re actually supposed to be, having at least a few more bushes in the background, adding interest to the sky, etc.
After that was done, I set the characters inside. No, i did not thumbnail or plan like I probably should have. I didn’t do it with the prior two, so it wasn’t happening for this one either. This is just for fun and planning makes me bored. I do miss the second one’s pose for ???Paw, but CricketPaw, my beloved son, is looking as sassy as ever and I’m living for it. He meant to claw his rat faced sister, and he will do it again. Additionally, I made the choice to place a third character watching over their training so it isn’t just two apprentices who wandered off. Probably their brother, so it’s actually three apprentices who wandered off, but I promise this one is responsible actually.
Tumblr media
I’d like to say I’ve improved, yeah? :)
Weird to think I came from drawing jelly beans with noodle limbs to what I do now. And hopefully in the next two years I’ll be able to upgrade upon myself once again!
Also, I’m thinking about doing some Clan Gen stuff in my scene style! I’ve been playing around with it a bit on the browser version, and I ended up having JUST ONE couple produce, like, 11 kittens in total, and then each of those kittens producing kittens or just bringing home kittypets and loners so the clan was HILARIOUSLY LARGE.

How I Spent Years Figuring Out My Book's Cover
I don't have any experience in advertising, and my digital art skills are limited, and every article on self-publishing urges you not to do your own cover, and probably they are right. But I did my own cover, and I thought I'd share some of the process. The figuring out how it should look part, not the technical part.
For a long time, I just practiced playing around with images. These weren't finished products by any means.
Tumblr media
This image from early 2019 was one of my favorites. It's supposed to represent my protagonist Yew, reflecting on her ruined village and, by extension, some of her choices. The set up is straightforward – tragic woman gradating into a creepy graveyard. I felt it looked very similar to other covers I'd seen, which is both a good and a bad thing. A cover should clue you in to the tone and genre, so having set symbols and moods is helpful. On the other hand, you don't want your book to look like a million other people's.
Silent-film-era actress Mary Astor is standing in for Yew. The painting is by Caspar David Friedrich. To the best of my knowledge, both images are in the public domain.
Tumblr media
For a while, I played with collages. (Pretty much all the stock photos/art is from Pixabay, which I found to be extremely helpful.) I liked the way these gothic windows formed frames, and I wanted to include both protagonists, Eider and Yew. This never made it fully into a test cover, but I did a few versions of this image, both with just photos and also including original art.
(Please admire my stock photo Iron Stag with his candle-antlers. I worked hard affixing each little flame to each little tine.)
Tumblr media
The background I used here (Image Source: Freestock.com) is unromantically called “Plastic Chunks” in my files.
I also really like the ceiling paintings of Jules-Edmond-Charles Lachaise, so I experimented using one as a frame.
Above is a Yew cover, and below is an Eider cover.
Tumblr media
I can't remember where I picked the asset(s?) for this background, but I suspect it was also Freestock.
I eventually decided on having both heroines front and center, each paired with an antler from one of the two mysterious stags in the story. This focal point would be a hand-drawn piece of art with less obtrusive public domain stock stuff framing it. I wanted the picture to be intricate, feel fairy-taleish, and include different elements from the story – a snake, a diary, flowers, mirror shards, a pear, seeds, antlers, and a hand mirror.
Tumblr media
My first sketch had the basic idea down, but it was very long and skinny and with the title as part of the drawing it felt too tattoo-y to me. Though, looking closely, I see I included Pete the mule's head (upside down, just under the word “magic”), and it's sad he didn't make the final cut.
Tumblr media
So I made the image more of a circle and worked really hard until I was proud of it.
Tumblr media
From there, I just had to decide on which assets to use and what colors to go for. I really liked the combination of dark desaturated reds and blues in this one, along with the very gothic doily frame. However, it also felt somewhat cluttered, maybe a better design for a poster than something that was going to have text on top of it.
Tumblr media
There's also a lot I like about this one, the cold colors, the blending of ice and aged iron. (The original title for the novel was The Iron Claws.) But again, that border felt like it would be fighting with any text thrown over it.
Tumblr media
I was also concerned whether the central image would look too small and muddled in thumbnail, so I did this very stripped down version. I wasn't a big fan of it, but it's interesting.
(By the way, you may have noticed that none of these share the actual dimensions of my real book cover. I hadn't even done the page layout yet at this point, and this was all very much in the testing stage.)
As it turned out, I was on the right track with the earlier gothic doily cover. Aside from the hand-drawn image, I ended up going with different assets, most notably a smaller frame, deeper colors, and additional borders along the sides. (This image also isn't in the proper scale.) I did this cover over and over again, making little adjustments until I was satisfied.
Tumblr media
What do you think? Did I make the right call?
Here’s info on the book itself: THE PRICE AND PREY OF MAGIC

Hello! How long have you been working on this story? Are there any major inspirations for it?
Thank you for the inquiry! This is a bit of an interesting one.
So, Mythos as a vague concept was very first conceived on November 22nd, 2019, according to the Discord logs.
This iteration of Mythos wasn't much like the story we have today, though the name and some of the basic concepts were already there. It was originally conceived as a Discord roleplay server (I had a sizeable friend group that participated in various roleplays together, and though we don't rp as much anymore most of us still hang out online. Quite a few concepts and characters in Mythos come from things I came up with for other peoples' roleplays), with the main gimmick being that there were no human characters; everyone had to be some kind of fantasy race.
The story would take place in Saga, a massive fantasy city which, under the guidance of an Ancient God named Grace, allowed every race to coexist peacefully—canonically, every fantasy race you've ever heard of, every fantasy creature converted into some type of demihuman, and even a collection of new original races of my own all lived together here.
Ultimately, that entire idea fell apart after a few friends I invited to help me develop it pointed out some serious flaws. I wouldn't abandon the idea just yet, though.
It was, according to more Discord logs, around June of 2020 that the next Mythos server started. Keeping this one limited to a smaller group of friends.
It started out with a gritty, slightly survival-oriented story following a small group of scrappy Humans doing their damnedest to survive in a world where everything is out to kill them and also everything except for them has magical powers.
From that point, the story took many turns and developed into something very close to the current vision of Mythos's story and world, just a bit undercooked.
Though the rp eventually died, I'd fallen in love with the world, story, and characters and kept developing it to this day, resulting in the version of Mythos we have today.
As for inspirations, Mythos and all of my other works mainly pull from anime, manga, and web comics, with a bit of Tolkien-esque fantasy film stuff mixed in there. I struggle to think of specific examples as far as inspirations as a whole, but most of the characters, areas, or plot points tend to draw a lot from a few specific things that I happened to be really into at the time when I made them, as is inevitable when you ad-lib a story the way I did for the original run of the roleplay. In the end, I think this is actually an advantage for Mythos, as it helps all the people, places, and events feel a bit more varied.

Debunking the Mori “fact”
I apparently have a trigger and that is people touting facts but never saying where they heard it from and I thought I could let it go but I just keep seeing it. This time its the “fact” that Mori was the original end game for Haruhi but the creator changed it to Tamaki due to popularity. This “fact” is often used in a kind of derogatory way towards other ships at worst and a justification (as though you need one) for the ship at best. I am a fiend for development history buttttttt I could never find this “fact” though I do think I found where it may have originated from.
In volume 1 there are bonus character sheets in the official english translation it says this (sourced from  https://vm.tiktok.com/ZTdX1xvsX/ )
Tumblr media
Which if this IS the source then I can see why no shippers link back to it. Its not very flattering. Its basically the author saying she finds your favorite character kinda boring and thought of pawning him off on Haruhi to have something for him to do. BUT there is also a LOT of ambiguity here.
“Couple” can have a few connotations  1: It did mean end game 2: It could mean just a date like the Twins and kinda Kyoua had.  One chapter where he does something vaguely romantic with Haruhi. 3: He could have been used as a red herring love interest, where Mori dates Haruhi for a few chapters or a volume leading to her better understanding her feelings towards Tamaki. Its a trope in romance series not a super common one but it happens.  With the vagueness of it all and how its in volume 1 though I’m leaning more towards 2 or 3 especially with some interviews I’ve seen.
But there is also this the fan translated version of the same character sheet.

Now this could also be the origin its more kind to Mori but equally as vague. Like maybe the original Japanese has a different meaning but I can’t read japanese so I can’t tell which is more accurate to the creators intent. But either way its a foot note in volume 1 which as its never touched on again, from what I’ve seen, and leads me to think it was a passing thought.
I also found this “Fact” on an article here from 2021 (which is kinda when I saw a surge in this fact)
Tumblr media
But again its not sourced and we all know CBR is kinda trash. But this could also be the originator. My hypotheses being the author of the article looking to fill out the list saw the character sheet and ran with it, leading to a chain of misinformation. Leading to more misinformation as I often hear in combination with this “fact” that the only reason Tamaki was endgame was cause Japanese women love blondes.....which rubs me the wrong way. It should also be noted that this article mis-genders the creator and only talks about the anime which could mean someone on the anime staff wanted Mori endgame but the series creator had no control of the anime production.
But also theres this
Tumblr media
At first Mori was more popular than Tamaki but as time went on he raised in popularity. Which this may also have lead people to believe in the “fact” that Mori was pushed off for Tamaki. However in volume 4 or 5 there were these little character things where the creator talked about birth dates, names of the characters and such. I highlighted the important bits
Tumblr media
(I didnt do the Twins, Haruhi or Kyoya ones cause theres no relevant info) She mentions that she gets a lot of letters from fans of Mori and the Twins. And that Twins fans really HATE Tamaki but the creator doesnt seem to care much. She also mentions how much things change over time. This leads me to disproving the “fact” further with the creators feelings on the series in actual good sources.
In this Viz media interview in 2019 she says - That Tamaki was made first - Her favorite characters are Haruhi, Tamaki and the Twins - Her favorite relationship is Haruhi and Tamaki both romantically and platonically - Tamaki was the easiest and most fun to draw
And in this Anime News Network interview also from 2019 she is asked point blank if Tamaki was always endgame for Haruhi. She responds with a story about how her publishers werent sure about a lead like Tamaki during the early part of the series, which she was surprised by, her editor went to bat for her defending the character assuring them that he would sell.
All this leads me to think that Tamaki was the intent from go but she purposely kept things open ended over the years of the story being developed to keep fan interest and to allow more organic storytelling.
Now these were the only interviews I could find there was this old live journal which i cant fully source that talks of an interview where she states Tamaki was the second character to be developed after Haruhi and that Mori was second to last to be made. Which also adds to my thoughts. But again there MAY be more that I don’t have access to.
So I say this to Mori x Haruhi shippers who push this “fact” as the be all end all please do tell me where you heard this, please do try to prove me wrong, I’d love to read it. But as it stands its not a fact its a misunderstanding of a foot note thought. I also say this you don’t “Need a reason” to justify why you like a ship, HaruMori isn’t really in my taste i feel Moris need to be a caretaker would clash with Haruhi’s independent nature too much but I’ve shipped crazier with less. Just don’t use this “Fact” cause you’re just spreading misinformation and we really on a whole need to be more discerning with facts we hear. Don’t just accept it cause you want it to be true.

How GEORGE PEREZ Saved WONDER WOMAN From Becoming a ‘Raunchy Sex Object’
x
George Perez: I didn’t realize until I came into the office of the then-editor Janice Race, and they were putting together a new Wonder Woman book, that there wasn’t a single woman working in that company — and you’re talking about a company whose publisher was a woman! — who was happy with the direction they were going to go in.there was just part of me — the inner feminist in me — who was really bothered that she was just kind of being thrown out.I mean without naming names, when I saw the artist who was going to be on that, I said, “The man is more used to drawing stuff like a Penthouse magazine.” Every woman will vilify this — the premier female character, and we’re going to make her into a raunchy sex object? Oh God, that is the worst direction you could ever take for this character! So, I had ideas for her. I was inspired by Walt Simonson and his take on Thor and by Ray Harryhausen. If you’re looking to challenge the gods, fighting skeletons, hydras, I figured what if Wonder Woman were done, before CGI, by Ray Harryhausen? That became a focus for me.Also, one thing that she is not supposed to be — she is not a female version of Superman, she is a character of mythology. Karen Berger agreed and said, “She’s a fantasy character; she’s not a superhero in the strict sense of the word. She’s a fantasy like Sinbad, all the great stories and myths, she’s a mythological character. Let’s play with that.”I said I also needed to clean up her mythology because she was a mixture of so many Greco-Roman plus modern (influences). I said, “Let’s go back to classic Greek and let me do what I can with that.” And I didn’t realize at the time that ever since the death of (creator) William Marston and H.G. Peter, the original artist on Wonder Woman, there hadn’t been a single writer or artist who ever volunteered to do that book. It was an assigned book. No one wanted to do Wonder Woman. I was the first person — particularly at a time when I could have asked for any possible project and they would have said yes to it.
Title should be "How Perez Ruined Wonder Woman for good."
Finding this old article from 2019 before Perez passed away is him simply recalling everything that I have spoken about with his work on Wonder Woman.
He was more concerned with the women in the office and the supposed negative fallout among women in the audience with the character than he was with the actual character herself.
The editor that he worked for only reaffirms his bad decision to take the most iconic and quintessential female super hero in the genre and relegate her to that of a fantasy hero, totally misconstruing her character, and destroying the few good changes that had happened prior to the Crisis on Infinite Earth event that lead to this new reboot.
It was always obvious from the comic itself that Perez was more interested in his political leanings and own ideas for an 80s fantasy themed story feature Ancient Greek aesthetics and Greek mythology than he was in modernizing a faithful and earnest version of the classic character, but hearing him affirm the obvious is good.
He even turned down an artist that apparently drew the character like a "sexual magazine" as if that wouldn't align perfectly with the original career and art of her Golden Age artist H.G. Peter.
He clearly did not have the character's best interest at mind and was more concern with including the sensibilities of people that the character was not mean to appeal to.
While she certainly supported women and spoke of women empowerment and had many important explorations of gender and women in modern day. She was never a feminist, not meant to appeal to people who had issue with sexual art.
It was clear from their own misrepresentation of the character that those in charge did not have Wonder Woman's best interest in mind and it shows. Even the mythology he wrote was horrible and clearly just scrapped together for his ideal fantasy background.
This explains why the fandom is more interested in bad Greek Mythology and feminism than anything that is actually related to the character.
