Crosshair sat in the medbay waiting for Kave to show up, after everything, after having his brothers abandon him for a kid, after having them nearly cook him alive, after them walking away, the one thing he could actually count on was Kave. 

She was the only bright spot left in his life. 

“I can’t leave you alone for one second without you hurting yourself, can I?” She giggled as she walked in seeing him injured. She knew better than trying to coddle him, or worry about him to an extreme. She’d be able to do that in the privacy of their quarters later on that night. 

He only let out a strained chortle as the pain meds were slowly ebbing away.

“Okay, my beautiful murdertoothpick, I’m gonna have to take this bandages off, and see the extent of the damage, okay?”

He nodded, not able to find the strength to answer her.

“Pain meds wearing off?”

Nod.

“Okay, sweetie… hold on.” Kave reached over and grabbed another pain med, using the hyperspray and injecting it into his arm, “There you, sweetie. You’ll start feeling better soon. Just calming breaths. Okay. Use your sniper breathing for me.”

Nod. He tried his best to calm his breathing imagining he was lining up a target.

“Okay, here we go.” She slowly cut away the gauze, careful not to pull too quickly. Biting back the tears and worries she felt for the pain and injury he sustained. His hair was burned away, his skin bubbled and melted away from the heat. Some of it came off on the gauze she peeled away. She wanted to press a kiss to his lips, to hold him close to take away his pain. However, she needed to remain professional. 

“Alright, I’m going to need you to open your eyes for me, I’m going to pull away the eyepatch and then we’re going to test to see how much damage there is, okay?”

Nod.

She took in a deep breath, and prepared herself for what she’d find under the patch. She let out a sigh of relief that the damage wasn’t too bad. The eye was red, a little inflamed, which was understandable. The pupil was reacting to the light, which was fantastic. His eyes were tearing up as tears slid down his cheek. 

“Okay, How many fingers am I holding up?”

Crosshair took a second, his vision was blurred, and somewhat fogging from the tears forming. He couldn’t stop blinking for a while, “Um … six.”

Kave looked from him to her fingers, “Okay, well first, I don't have six fingers. I’m going to try and wash out your eye again. I know the medics on site already did that, but I’m trying again okay.”

“Yeah.”

After Kave dealt with the injured, she covered and protected it with a cool compress. Once she finished with his eye, she moved on to the more serious injury, she’d need to put bacta on the injury and keep him in the med bay for the next two days. To keep reapplying the treatment. She wasn’t looking forward to the argument that was about to ensue, she dismissed everyone from the room, leaving her and Cross alone. 

“Sweetheart, I’m going to need to keep you here for at least two days.”

“No.”

“Cross…”

“I said NO!”

She let out a sigh, “Baby,” she hated using that term but it was the only one that usually calmed him down enough to listen to her, “you need a sterile environment. This is your health, please, for me.” He was about ready to start arguing again, she held his hand and pressed it against her chest, “Listen to me, please. I’ll set you up in the ICU room, it’ll just be the two of us. No one else. I know you hate the med bay. I know you hate being poked and prodded, but I’ll be the only one taking care of you. I’ll treat you every time, and won’t let anyone else in. I’ll protect you and care for you. So please, for me… listen to me and stay here.”

Cross let out a trembling breath, he hated the med bay, he hated the memories that came from the training he and his brothers underwent when they were children… he hated that his brothers weren’t here anymore to stay with him. He hated that Wrecker wasn’t here to stay by his side when he got scared. He hated that Hunter wasn’t here to fight with him, to make him feel he had a brother. He hated that he couldn’t hear Tech’s hum in understanding as he read some new fact or understood some new principle or formula. He hated that he was alone. 

He squeezed her hand, “You promise?”

“I promise,” she pressed a kiss to his knuckles, “it’ll just be me and you. You know, I will always be there for you."

He nodded, “Okay. I’ll stay here for two days…”

(although i think in phels perspective reader's more 'lover' by his terms because well he's pretty unhinged in his perspective. what can we expect from a guy born and raised as a religious assassin who only ever interacts to his sister?? yeah his 'social' skills aren't going to be the best lmfao)

and like you stated anon, them being lunari/solari just adds the extra layers of drama, depth, and juicy plot potential. all in all, quite a banger.

as far as alune goess, I'd say she 100% knew. only because, alune is a Seer that shows aphelios' path, and directs him on missions. basically the moon told alune "yeah this is going to happen" then alune was like "heyyy soo....you're going to have to do this bro" and then ofc phel was somewhat conflicted the whole time but hey FAITH is never questioning and doing what you're told cause it's supposedly 'right'. and he definitely wants the believe it was all for a 'good' reason. Like him and reader are destined lovers since otherwise, why would the moon have him do that instead of just kill her? kinda like getting a gift for always being obedient to his faith (the copium is strong with this one). but yeah, phel made sure the toxin wore off so that his poor sister didn't have to endure that. (but assassinating people is totally fine obvs!)

alune and reader would have some sort of relationship a bit later. reader is technically a priestess, even though a solari one, she'd still be able to have some way to connect to the spirit realm. or reader can feel the ethereal vibrations emanating from him, but not fully understand/hone in alune's presence. but i think slowly over time, readers growing connection with aphelios will have her gradually connected with alune at some point.

and I want to say the moon goddess has a plan as to why that had to be done to reader. not sure how far i'll actually get to reveal it or develop it, since honestly, i had no intention of continuing let alone build any lore (THIS WAS JUST SUPPOSED TO BE SMUT DAMNIT HAHA) but we'll see.

After doing that 'top posts of 2023' or w/e post from yesterday I was asking myself what my absolute favorite moment was from Lucky Girl

I can usually tell by looking at the stats what are the most popular chapters (the ones with sex - nobody is surprised that y'all are coming back to re-read those 2/3 times each lmao I see you) and this one is up there.

I was so happy with it when it was completed, because I thought it caught Evie and Jude at their best and most themselves in the whole thing - those moments where she's worried about asking him for what she wants for fear that he'll get too excited and intense, and him trying to hold himself back for fear of overwhelming her. Both knowing each other well enough by now, while doing this silly little dance around each other instead of just admitting what they want. - They're still doing this in the epilogue. They've learned to be indirect with one another in their relationship and they know that they'll always have to do this little dance with one another to make things work.

Anyway, you've guessed it, it's 3.16 - the Arcade chapter <3

“Good game, Evie.” He concedes, after a long, anguished pause. “But I’m not playing against you again.”

“Good. I absolutely hate your play style, and you’re a sore winner.”

“From now on we should only team up”

“I agree, we’d be horrible and unstoppable.”

“Do you still fancy me after witnessing me at my worst and most toxic?”

I grin. “If that’s you at your most toxic then I think I fancy you more, actually.” I push past him towards an old jukebox by the wall. “Which probably says something about me, I don’t know. Maybe I should be psychologically assessed.”

“For liking bad boys?”

I snicker. “You think you’re a bad boy?”

“I think that you think I’m a bad boy.”

“No, I think you’re very sweet and kind and quite soft, actually.” I dig around in my pocket for a spare coin or two. “Sorry.”

He leans against the wall next to me like a quarterback against some cheerleader’s locker in a high school film, and it shouldn’t make me feel girlish and shy, but it does. My whole body tingles even though he’s not even touching against me. “Is that really what you think?”

“Are you flattered or insulted?”

“Well I’m flattered. I think that about you too, coincidentally.” 

“Pick a song.” I tell him. “Let’s see if this thing even works.”

“Give me the old classic, Surfin’ in the UK.”

“What?” I chuckle. “I think you’ve got that wrong.”

“No, look.” He points to the song selection at the front and I run my eyes down the most egregious list of knock off hits I’ve ever seen. There’s Hotel Florida, Puppy Dog, Nine Days a Week, Free Tumblin’, and somewhere near the middle is Surfin’ in the UK. “This is ridiculous.” I say as I hit the button and the speakers crackle to life. “Why don’t they just get the real songs?”

“Cheap,” Jude explains, and bobs his head as though he’s enjoying the strange song that almost, almost sounds like the Beach Boys, only for its weird, tuneless melody that never quite progresses to the expected or most obvious chord. 

“My God, this is awful,” I say, and he’s already doing a silly little shuffle dance across the worn out carpet. “What are you talking about? It’s a certified banger,” He reaches out his hand to me and sings in falsetto “And all the blokes are surfin’, surfin’ in the UK.”

“Don’t make me dance to this.”

“What? Nobody is watching.” He takes my hands in his while I laugh, and he laughs too, because it’s just funny. There’s always something funny about being together, even when I know that everyone else would think we’re being stupid, but when I’m around him I always feel just a little less embarrassed of myself. The same kind of childish, light headed giggliness I get when I breathe helium from a balloon.

The arcade machines and the neon on the walls blink and flash bright colours against his skin and his sleek, glossy dark hair, and everything is noise, light and sensation. Beeps and bings and 8 bit graphics and electronic chip music, all blend discordantly with the tinny music from the jukebox, but when he holds my waist and kisses me slowly everything else fades away. 

My body surrenders to him immediately, but this is what he does to me. This is why I feel afraid of the ways that I feel, because with him, as with nobody else, I feel like I can understand better why people do insane things for sex. How a person can just forget where they are and do it wildly and indiscriminately in cars or public bathrooms or in other kinds of places that used to make me feel confused and disgusted. I always knew, as I know right now, that it wouldn’t take much convincing on his part to get me out of my jeans.

ok not to randomly go off on a somewhat negative ramble But. (general genshin story direction worries basically)

while there are a bunch of stunts i fear the genshin story slash lore could end up pulling that would serve as not only disappointments but to varying degrees also just retroactively ruin a lot of games writing for me. i dont think theres anything that im as genuinely concerned about as the possibility of like. completely losing their narrative marbles to an overdone time travel/temporal manipulation in one way or another like just the thought of that shit haunts me

bc like. while i dont find them particularly compelling as an argument for that to be the case regarding Everything in the narrative in current lore/theory circles (like. makoto n ei teaming up w istaroth once doesnt automatically establish universal time travel). it is unfortunately true that in canon lore there are many of the kind of lore pieces present that you could use to set that kind of reveal and complete restructuring of the story up. istaroth and the sacred sakura and some shady things said by various characters and how you could argue Any time loop or travel adjacent is just hidden by the irminsul 5head (another piece of writing whose potential misuse seriously alarms me, mind you). and so on.

and i am just. Not about any of that shit. like. for me absolutely any plot device or element that has the risk of fundamentally fucking up a storys continuity and coherence sideways to the degree BOTH the

"genshins gonna turn out to be ALL time travel/time loop/simulation to make [sudden endgame twist X heavily at odds with what was established in the central lore prior] appear sensible"

and

"celestia just irminsuls away all evidence for [that twist X again] so achsually it was always genius and compatible with lore"

tier of nightmare scenarios will have. is just. Not fucking worth it. this shit has ruined countless stories with vastly better writing and way more competent authors because its just. not the kind of stuff you can just insert in a massive fucking story willy nilly to explain away the mystery box you didnt bother to set up together so it ultimately comes together in a cohesive way that Doesnt need to be broken on multiple levels to scrape together some conclusion. and its just hhhhhhhhhhhhhh

and like ive never expected some massive masterpiece out of genshin like at best its gonna be one of those stories that once finished gets some really fucking banger fanwork as its community expands upon and explores a solid but flawed canon groundwork. theres fundamental flaws and limitations to its storytelling and format and that cant be helped. so im expecting no miracles on that front.

but the one fucking thing i dont want them to fall for is that misguided at best and outright pretentious and disrespectful at worst allure of. SEE! we outsmarted the audience! the theories! we broke our own story continuity to force a twist because our established worldbuilding technically makes it an option! isnt this smart!

like just please. no. no clue how unpopular this is but im already quite conflicted on the established use of irminsul in sumeru and how it arguably voided a lot of important characterization (nahidas inferiority complex) and narrative potential (scara literally becoming a non factor in the grander story more or less) for good but like. for now. fine. it hasnt become overused yet. i dont think its inherently bad as a factor of worldbuilding. i like how it recontextualizes fact and fiction and the significance of stories that appear mere fables in the world of teyvat. but as it stands the irminsul is still a deus ex machina. and thats a dangerous tool for any writer to have in careless use. and when combined with the sprinkles of lore involving the possibility of time manipulation and such to be further explored. its like powder and keg. two tools that can absolutely gut a story of its narrative cohesion and the weight of its stakes in an instant. its really fucking worrisome.

genshins writing is flawed but the one thing this game has going for it that i REALLY hope the writers will understand to respect is its world. how much the marriage between this massive and beautifully crafted immersive open world and the intricacies of lore and history afforded to all corners of it truly do in tandem to establish the world of genshin as more Real. as weightier. as a place you grow and remain attached to even when the main storys writing stumbles. the world is so important and to let it remain feeling real is just. i hope they understand how fragile of a gem that is.

featuring an artificial world order established by fraudulent divinity and that involving some degree of cosmic fuck-uppery of the natural order and all-encompassing illusion to maintain it is fine. this is a story heavily referencing gnosticism that theme is literally a given. but it needs to be an artificial world order imposed on a real world that remains feeling real the entire time through. and for that to be preserved it needs to remain grounded.

but the problem is that once a story truly commits to the "anything could be altered and fundamentally reversed with the right mcguffin at play with seeming impunity" there is no going back. it becomes very fucking difficult to keep the figurative feet of a narrative even touching the ground for even the most skilled of writers afforded absolute creative freedom to work with (which genshin does not have). and just that much more easier for the stakes to be lost completely. and i dont want to see that scenario become reality

-The hilarity of getting rid of Lo’ak and Kiri who are the canonically closest to Spider and leaving us with Tuk and Neteyam and Jeytiri. That excited me lITERALLY SO MUCH. The fast food au did start with only Tuk and Neteyam, and that’s juicy. We are forced to develop and explore relationships that are underdeveloped in canon and are harder to justify as instant sparks. You took away his natural in canon support systems so he has to learn to develop even faster with the other Sully's and that is a banger idea.

-W H E E L C H A I R J A K E. God I love wheelchair Jake aus, I love making them positive because I don’t like the way the first movie just fixed his disability. Give me Jake Sully being a positive disabled male father figure in his kids lives, just as present and happy and in love with his wife while paralyzed then he would be with mobility. What creative stuff has changed in their lives to accomidate? I need to know.

-Love the descriptions of how Spider feels when Norm’s body relaxes, just noting the way he backs off. So specific and accurate to any abused child. That tension and hypersensitivity to anyone's emotions, even people you implicitly trust, like never goes away.

-Norm thinking someone didn’t let Spider pee in the bathroom is so tragic and funny I feel bad for laughing. 

-Spider: heart palpitations upon seeing Neteyam

she definitely has a habit of using her teleporting ability to remove herself from overwhelming situations which is mostly the grocery store. poor cam will be there in the cereal aisle & turn around to ask lilith if she wants cocoa pops or rice crispies (has persistent self-gaslighting tendency to think that lilith will actually sit down and eat cereal one day) and finds that lilith is, once again, gone tf out of there.

finds her sitting in the car like a suburban husband who for some reason thinks he can't accompany his wife into the store. lilith is very 'if things aren't always exactly the same i'll scream' and without any cognitive dissonance also 'if things aren't always slightly different i'll scream.' metaphorically spends a lot of time screaming.

My Ramblings: Another Boone's phobia episode, this time public speaking! Question: have you ever tried the method of picturing everyone in their underwear? I haven't. Where did that come from? Why is the an acceptable and normal thing to do? I wanna know the origin.

Another Boone wearing something dress-like and just be like: Oh ok, girl mode, activated. Don't worry, your time will come.

Imagine if that was the whole mission, just signing papers and going to meetings or passing bills. Thank goodness for the double alien invasion.

Instant attack mode with the Trio, finding out ways to murder these aliens. Penn telling Boone to stay focused with such a quiet voice while giving an alien a wedgie is top notch.

Ah yes, the three laser modes: Cat toy, laser eye surgery and oh yeah, destory planet! Really enjoy Rippen's movements and blinking.

"I don't know. This isn't me." How he delivers that, just sounds like a guy. One of the few times Rippen has a different name, there was Farpling, now it's General Ugthar the Ugly. "No, that can't be my name."

Chris Parnell, I recognize that voice anywhere! Can never escape him... I like Judge Blort Clooney, I bet it's that unsettling smile that gets me.

When did Larry move away from Rippen and into the crowds? How did you get over there? Lot's of fun cameos of other aliens all over this episode.

I like that Blort has this all-powerful gavel and is still terrified of Jorlanx. Also of course Blort is a father.

It's pessimist in me that's more on Rippen's side, but come on, you can give better reasons than just potholes, holding music and people who talk too loudy on their phones at restaurants. But those are all very relatable things to be peeved about, Rippen's is just the grumpy adult in all of us.

Boone Wiseman: Another fear conquered! I must say, this feels more earned than his aquaphobia, which is a shame considering that fear really affected his life. Also, while his speech was supposed to be this nice and heartfelt, I wouldn't be totally convinced. But it's not his fault. Just what we know of Earth... just blow it up!

Sashi Kobayashi: Tried to stop a baby Hubarian Quirm from smacking the President's ass and failed on live television for billions to see.

Rippen: You have better reasons to blow up the Earth! Talk about the school education system or you know... war!

Larry: He's friends with one of the contestants.

Dimension(s): Game show... but in space! Fun idea, but it only works if the host is just as good and Blort Clooney? He's great! He was so entertaining. Wouldn't have minded if they came back to this dimension just for him!

Forms: Meh, nothing standing out for me with the Trio. Rippen and Larry's designs go pretty hard for sure.

My Ramblings: RIPPEN AND LARRY EPISODE! LET'S GO!

HEY! Haven't we seen this all before? Rippen delivering a banger line of: "You may not be a real hero, but you're going to perish like one." And about to blast Penn to smithereens until Larry accidentally messes it all up, the inciting incident for this episode!? HMM!? Except this time, we get to see them almost die in the vacuum of space!

AND! We get to see the inside of Fish Stick on a Stick for the first time! I need a "I hearts jetpacks" sweater. Stat!

WE ALSO SEE RIPPEN'S APARTMENT! YAY! Poor bastard lives by train tracks and has a billboard that says "vacation" on the top of his building, and life wasn't cruel enough to him.

So, we can all agree that Larry made that Past Failures scrapbook, right? He's the one that takes all those photos in other dimensions (nice setup) and somehow brings them back, and that's his handwriting! The little i's dotted with hearts! We also know that Rippen has terrible handwriting.

He's too entertaining for me, Rippen needs to be stopped. His expressions, his voice, his mannerisms, HIS EVERYTHING! His dorky high school photo! This man is the reason I growl so much. We need a growl compilation. Stat!

HIS STUPID CLOWN GIGGLE! STOP! Mr. Molina, how do you do that to your voice? How do you just laugh like that!?

Larry was way too enthusiastic about doing a trouser swap, but god is it funny!

Oh no... Larry's heart is freaking breaking in half! HIS FACE! MY HEART! It shows just how much he cares about Rippen, him not wanting to show the utter pain and heartbreak, but god, does he want to scream! He's been nothing but loyal and then out if the blue, replaced! I understand Rippen, I really do, but we will see why Larry is the GOAT!

So Boone is Shak-a-speare, right? Cool. "Pulleth mine finger" was funny.

What was that British accent from the "newsie" boy!? But who's worse, him or Penn's indistinguishable accent?

I like how this world seems normal, just old English and then, oh yeah, there is a dragon... not important but it's there. It's only used for when Rippen literally (accidentally) kills a man by accidentally shooting it. Just straight up dead!

Remove Penn from this whole thing and you get a dating show. Rippen does say he's looking for an evil soul mate... so. I know, doesn't mean romantic, but it is funny to think about. We know he's very romantical. They even do the rose thing but with an arrow!

Montage Time! Penn out doing everyone while Larry's tries his hardest. Yes, he does almost get Rippen gored by bull, but dammit, he's determined!

Interesting that Larry was wearing one of those royal guard outfits for the jousting, weird. Why the costume change? Penn didn't do it.

All the tryouts are like: "what the hell is Jamaica?" Anyways, right before Rippen announces the winner, on of the guys is rubbing his arm in a very cute and bashful way. Also these horses are ugly.

"Will you accept my arrow?" RIPPEN STOP THAT'S A MINOR! Why does he have to say it so sultry? I love it... but Penn, get out of here!

THE FAKE OUT! How he says "Wait. Larry." I WANT TO SCREAM! I WANT TO EAT MY HANDS! They knew what they were doing! I cannot be normal about this episode, I'm sorry...

This confirms that Rippen is not an actual British person or was born in England, of he was, he would've know Westminstershireville isn't real. We know where he's actually from.

It would be so hilarious if Rippen didn't know who Leonardo Da Vinci was. But I think he does, especially given his other job, he should know. But imagine, and even more clueless Rippen only knowing Leonard Da Vinci as the "local face painter."

We need another compilation of Rippen looking through monocular or binoculars, he does it so often. Love it when he comments on the Trio's appearances, mocking of complimenting them. This time around it's mocking. Speaking of sort of compliments, so far, Rippen has stopped acknowledging Sashi's competence and has insulted her status as a sidekick. Just interesting to note.

Good use of "In the Hall of the Mountain King." Another classic. This whole scene of Penn swapping back and forth, and the back and forthing with himself is amusing. He gets really into it. Him just forgetting the mask, gosh, perfect!

I just find it interesting that he does team-up with someone in a certain episode. Did he just abandoned that belief after this or is it because that person isn't his "number two" and it's just for that world? I WANNA KNOW! Just how he says "Number Two" in that line implies things that I might just be making up! Doesn't seem like any betrayals happened to him... possibly.

ALSO! Was he just gonna zap back and ask Phil to zap one of these random English guys and be like: "Hey, yeah, Phil? Can you zap that guy? He's my new Number Two now!" I guess it could be that easy.

Larry: Biggest L and W for him this episode! It was a rollercoaster of emotions for him. He tried so hard to impress Rippen and win the contest, but he's just not cut out for it. Yet he's still there to help! I hope that Rippen will treasure this man with all his heart!

I got tagged by @soul-cairn in like December and then forgor 💀But! Here's my top albums for last year! On the top we have albums that are "newer" additions to my ever-growing hoard of music. Most I knew already but hadn't gotten brainrot about.

Good Kid 3 by Good Kid - Easy pick and #1 in Last.FM just in general. A lot of my scheming this year has been w this one, my enjoyment of it skyrocketed much more in November but. Still. Fave here is probably First Rate Town, but it's very hard to choose. Mimi's Delivery Service and No Time To Explain are also great. They all go hard. In A Million Years by Last Dinosaurs - Last Dinosaurs in general has been very present in my playlists this year, the vibes are immaculate. Fave her is probably Zoom right now, but it zooms between that, Andy, and Sunday Night. Ground - I'm cheating w this one since it's technically a single rn, but it just genuinely changed my brain chemistry like nothing else had done in a few years. Banger. Middle is albums that have just been here year after year. Centésimo Humano by Mad Tree - Akaiitori tagged below introduced me to these guys and I haven't been safe ever since. Alquimia will always reign supreme, but I listened to a lot of La Ciudad Y El Humo and Rubí this year. Fear Is Fleeting by Puppet - MY BELOVED !!! Much like Ground altered my brain chemistry, this completely rewired my braincells. Like this just goes so hard, this is my EP, this is my everything. Fave here is Killing Giants by Puppet & Murtagh ft Richard Caddock !!! But also listened to a lot of Listen to the Storm. Immersion by Pendulum - There's always a lot of Pendulum, but I was surprised it was higher up than In Silico this year. I did listen to a lot of Encoder and Watercolour.

Last but not least, bottom three are albums that have been in my radar and I have been listening to for a while, but didn't get attached to until 2023. Danger Days by My Chemical Romance - A classic. Listened to it so much while working on stuff, I still can't name much of the songs from it since I was often away from the screen, but Planetary Go remained stuck in my head for a long time. I Know You Know Who I Am by Puppet - I'm still not too attached to a lot of the songs here, but it still broke through to my top 10. Here, my favourite would be Good Day, and My Own Thing. Yokohama always holds a special place in my heart. No Mal Que Dure Una Vida by Lika Nova - Also got introduced by Akaiitori, i got super bad brainrot during the summer with Manos Al Fuego and No Me Dejes Caer.

Ok on this walk down emo nostalgia lane we’re doing fucking Danger days : The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys, and also The Mad Gear and Missile Kid EP! And these are my thoughts

So I haven’t listened to the full album through but similar to revenge I’ve heard a few songs. I haven’t listened to the EP yet tho. I’m excited because the killjoy vibes are immaculate. Let’s see if this butters my buns.

Look Alive, Sunshine: ok I’ve heard this before and while this is sick as hell we all know this is just the lead up to Na Na Na. Shit fucks hard, let’s kick it.

Na Na Na: A certified banger in every way and it fucks so god damn hard! Love the song to death, one of my all time favorites. Shit makes you feel like you can fight god! Everybody wants to change the world, but no one wants to die! And then the guitar goes apeshit!

Bulletproof Heart: Another I’ve heard before and one that’s just so so good. Gravity don’t meaaan too much to meeee! God I love this one so much, I actually haven’t listened to it much recently but god I’ve missed it. It’s like seeing an old friend again and going skating. Man this one fucks so severely!

SING: Ah yes, the one where they all die. Another I listen to all the time, potentially the source of my first tattoo if I get around to it. Moody vibes, the power of an unbreaking will. It radiates cold hard stamina to persist on, the vibes fucking bang. KEEP RUNNING!!

Planetary (GO!): Ah another I listen to a lot because I love the vibes. This is a song that fucks, it fucks yknow. It’s dancy af and I love it, a bop. The vibes slap, makes you want to move. Anti-capitalist dance anthem, I love it to death.

Jet-Star and the Kobra Kid/Traffic Report: so from here on we’re into shit I haven’t listened to before. And the gateway into said new music is Mikey dying again and he took ray with him 🫡.

Party Poison: ok let’s see what we’re dealing with. Ok this does kinda fuck. Oh shit this bangs. This fucking Bangs tho! God damn, i really like this one shit!

Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back: oooooh tasty guitar! Oh shit this fucks too! Oh damn oh fuck yeeeesss! Shit bangs, and fucks! Oh Hot Damn that Guitar! This is doing shit to my brain, I love love love this!

S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W: oooo nice pulse to it. Oh this is moody and really pretty. I really like this, its feels like something else I’ve listened to before in terms of vibes but I have the memory of a fucking hamster. It’s really good tho, oh hello fucking tasty ass guitar bit! This didn’t wreck my shit but I did enjoy it quite a bit.

Summertime: good beat, got a good pulse going. God this album is so good. Man this feels wistful and I love that. Oh I love this 😭. Man this is so pretty I love this. Wistful feelings of love make my chest ache man, I’m so damn lonely.

DESTROYA: time for what I’m assuming is a tonal shift, I’ve heard shit about this one 👀. Oh there’s the bongos. Tasty ass guitar comes in. Oh this does kinda fuck, I love this vibe! Oh shit this actually bangs unbelievable hard! And it like fucks fucks! Hell yeah! Shit that one I definitely need to listen to more now that I’m prepared for it!

The Kids From Yesterday: synthey, and don’t fear the reaper needs more cowbell. Oh damn, this might be an in my feels song. A very melancholy vibe but it’s so good. This is like so my vibe and I love this but also ow. Yea ok that gave me some tears shit.

Goodnite, Dr. Death: ok let’s see what this one brings while I’m in my feelings. Yea that was the breather I needed ooof.

Vampire Money: ok I’ve hears mixed things about this song so no idea what to expect here we go. Oh shit it’s this song, that’s where that’s from! good beat, and it slams hell yea! Oh shit fuck yea this FUCKS! Oh shit this bangs I love this! This is a good fucking time! Guitar is loosing it hell yes!

We Don’t Need Another Song About California: oh shit banger guitar right out the gate. Oh this is a bop. Not an awful lot of thoughts, song good, guitar slaps as always. Not melting my face off but I enjoy it :3

Zero Percent: more synth Noice. Oh shit this bangs out the gate! Not a lot of thoughts, brain empty but this slaps. O k last song of dangerdays out of the way, time for the ep before my brain melts and runs out of my ears from both over and understimulation.

F.T.W.W.W.: not sure what I should expect but here we go, I’ve cleansed my pallet by listening to the bloodborne soundtrack so I don’t get too bogged down on bangin guitar. Ok yea this does kinda slap. This does bang. Is good, but I’m pretty neutral on it.

Mastas of Ravenkroft: banging guitar as always, god this feels like my stream of consciousness. Punk rock equivalent of my unmediated adhd.

Black Dragon Fighting Society: ok last song of the night, I’m exhausted but this has been a tit blasting experience for sure. Let’s close her out lads. No bad, they’ve all had a good pulse to them. Good fucking guitar! A fun time but isn’t like wrecking my shit, but I like.

This has been a fucking insane ride, I regret not listening to the full album sooner because this one rocked my shit the whole way down and it may unironically be my favorite mcr album. I heard someone describe dangerdays as being like crack to their 13 year old brain and like I think I get it now, even at 21.
