I don't think I'm the only one who absolutely *needs* to listen to some music while doing any task. Personally, I prefer instrumental music, because I often get distracted by the voices.

Anyways, while writing a screenplay for a uni exam, I put on TOMITO's extended ER Soundtrack and Margit's theme came up. I have to say, I bloody love Margit's/Morgott's boss themes, I think they're so underrated.

But while listening to the Phase II extension, I started thinking about Morgott, how he might've been the strongest demigod if he had the Erdtree's favour.

So I decided to put that on paper:

Also did this as a "fuck you" to the Fell Omen Cloak because I hate drawing it.

Thoughts:

As I said, f the cloak, I find it hard to draw;

Most of the inspo for the outfit cane from the Erdtree Guardian robes, firstly because they look so cool, secondly because I realized it fits thematically;

Also gave him a fur cape cause I felt inspired by the Ruler garb (and maybe Horus from Warhammer);

Didn't feel right to give him shoes for some reason;

I really like the idea of him being this graceful protector of the Erdtree, the Omen King with such a commanding presence - and he still has this godawful hunch;

I like this outfit so much, I might try and do some more art with it;

Definitely gotra fugure out how it works around the tail.

Stumbled across some more reflection lore recently and UMMMMM I CANT BELIEVE DRY SAMUEL CANONICALLY SOLD MY CHILD TO MR FIRES?????????

So in the Parabolan War, if you're a little careless about empowering your reflection to help you, it can tAKE YOUR TROOPS AND MAKE YOU WAGE A CAMPAIGN AGAINST YOURSELF.... at the end of which it admits that it lured you out here because it wants to know what would have happened if it had chosen differently -- the one difference between you and your reflection is a crucial choice in the pursuit of your ambition: where you went right, it went left. Your reflection makes the opposite choice to you, and if you decide to sate its curiosity, you get to show it what's different -- in my case, my reflection saw the light of the hybrid false-star, safe on the roof, and I saw the reflection expensively dressed and felt the security that comes with the gratitude of a Master.

So obviously I had to lose my mind and draw this immediately.

I think a version of Samuel who sold the hybrid would have to have done it for the sake of London, a child sacrificed to save the city. But I don't think he could make that choice and not be changed by it, not let it make him a little more cynical, a little more willing to ingratiate himself with power when needed. I also like the idea of every piece of the end of the ambition going slightly to the left in Reflection Samuel's version of events -- Where Samuel apologised and bowed to the Boil to make amends, his reflection reaches for the power the Cats offered that would let him win. Where Samuel hesitated and looked for mercy when confronted with Poor Edward's violent whirlwind of self-destruction, his reflection shoots him dead. He's not an evil version or anything, he's mostly the same guy -- just one who was willing to prioritise the safety of his friends and his city over his own morals.

My OC Rhagerys Targaryen with the two people who he would do anything and everything for.

His younger half sisters, Baela and Rhaena. They mean the world to him. They are his weakness but also his strength to keep going. He is their big brother and has been taught to protect them at all costs.

The way I see the three are as the sun, moon, and stars. Rhaena is the Sun. Along with her dragon Morning. Baela is the Moon. Along with her dragon Moondancer. Rhagerys is the Stars. Along with his dragon Starsong. Each are present in one another's lives but in such different ways that people forget that they're connected to one another. That in some way they always will be.

This gorgeous artwork was done by the wonderfully talented @lonelymagpies. They did such marvelous job. The hair, the clothing, the jewels, their looks.

Imagine if instead of challenging Taryn to a duel, Jude had challenged Locke. I would have loved to have seen her slice him from the throat to the chest. She lets him live of course, but makes sure he has a scar as a daily reminder to not cross her again. Cause he was playing too much in the wicked king and Locke just getting away with screwing the twins over made no sense to me.

I’m not even a Jackieshauna ride or die like that and now that shauna like has a non-Jackie girlfriend this has thankfully died out, but the early-era takes like “they’re both straight because we HAVE a canon gay couple already, so they’re clearly comfortable having lgbt rep it’s just not Jackie or Shauna. if they wanted them to be gay they’d say so.” are so insanely silly. Like Taivan? Very very cute, love them! But we’re out here talking about it as if the only thing preventing characters from stepping onto the screen in the first minute of the first episode with a pride flag pin visible, waving directly to the camera, and saying “hello, I’m a lesbian woman who is comfortable with my identity and dating another woman” is queer censorship. Like hate to break it to you, but sometimes, people like characters to have stories. And the thing with stories is that sometimes they’re more fun… when all of the information isn’t given to you cleanly and neatly in the first episode! Sometimes… bear with me… certain stories mean the characters CANT be openly identifying as queer from the starting line! I honestly don't really see how it could be possible to write a relationship centered around queer repression and have both characters happily out of the closet. Anyways even if Jackieshauna secretly hated each other entirely and completely from birth and they hate each other non-subtextually for ever and ever, Shauna still kissed a woman and Jackie still hasn’t shown any genuine interest in a single man that wasn’t for the sake of keeping up her desire of normality and left her immensely unsatisfied after, and that’s just how the story goes I fear!
