seeing 'dead dove & proship dni' on a blog is a first for me. like. i've seen 'proship dni' - and even if I think it's stupid, because you're basically saying 'I believe it's okay to harass people who create fictional situations I disapprove of', it doesn't surprise me anymore. But 'dni dead dove'??? you hate properly tagged fics and want that nasty stuff just floating around in the ecosystem where anyone can accidentally stumble across it? Like turds in a river?? okayyyyyy

I know, I know, they think fiction = reality. They want to eradicate any and all darkfic altogether, regardless of if you're a survivor exploring your feelings/trying to understand your abuser's pov, or digging into the nitty gritty awfulness of trauma recovery, or just putting fictional characters in a horrific situation to see what they do, like a fictional saw trap that is hurting literally no one. Y'know, like TV writers do all the time. I know they buy into the idea that video games cause violence. But like. ???

Look I need you to understand that if I do ever write super dark content in the back of my head I always want there to be a scene wherein Soap witnesses the reader absolutely destroy a man, like full on disarms and breaks him in 3 seconds flat.

And when you realise Soap has seen this? It's that one scene in Brooklyn 99, you are looking this man who thought you were this defenceless little thing dead in the eye and saying "who would ever believe you?"

The delicious mess Soap would be knowing that everything him and his boys were doing to you was only ever because you let them? Him not being able to stop imagining you domming Price or Ghost and his arousal at that being the thing that really makes him feel guilty even after all the abuse he subjected you to?

Him knowing that you're right, nobody would ever believe him. And even if they did he isn't sure he wants them to know because for him it is torture the way you sometimes give him little squeezes as if to remind him what you can do.

Yummy, 10 out of 10, poor ruined Soap.

You know, there was an ask I got a while ago asking what I would consider to be going "too far" in terms of fucked-up dark content and I said that I was hesitant to include sexual torture in the Dis series even though I make parallels to rape frequently. But I truly was only talking about the Dis series because in Rekt, I do write rape/noncon, like I'm not against writing it completely, just not with Danny/Maddie for obvious reasons.

But Danny/Spectra, I mean...that's a whole different thing, especially since Danny is a full-grown adult who has graduated from college in Rekt. And just like I was afraid to post Disparaged at first, I'm even more terrified to post Rekt. But maybe if I were to start posting it, I'd feel emboldened to continue. I mean, I do think I'm good at keeping this sort of dark content classy to at least some extent.

what are your favorite fanfiction tropes?

I couldn't think of anything instantly so I grabbed the Tiermaker and filled it out super quick.

A lot of what I like is actually pretty subject to change depending on how well they're sold to me? One of my friends is super into Time Loops and Crack Fics, so I've also really come to enjoy them. Kid fics were a Hard No until another one of my friends started introducing me to his Next Gen AU, and we discussed a lot of issues I had with them and how to avoid those when writing an AU like that.

It's kind of delightful to get to experience something through another person's understanding of it and realize why they enjoy it so much.

But also I'll always be a sucker for something that goes off the rails of Canon to make something new and different and fun. And porn. And silly AUs. And domestic fluff. LISTEN THINGS ARE VERY GOOD AND WONDERFUL OKAY.
