Most recent episode of Outlander I watched was low key so funny at the end
Fuckin Marseli was like "listen, so... doctors take an oath to do no harm. Good thing I'm not actually a doctor" and killed that bitch. Jamie walks in to her freaking out because she killed someone and just goes "damn that sucks. But shit happens."

It's fascinating how even though you don't always hear about \ anyone other than Astarion, every origin companion in BG3 has an endgame/epilogue state that is either outright bad for them or at the very least "not as good as they deserve".
Obvious there have been books and 100,000 pages of fic and discourse written about Ascended Astarion. In the moments when he almost acts like his old self, even then it's merely humoring you with a whim.
Mother Superior DJ Shadowheart flat out admits to severe empathy for what Viconia went through, and has fully closed herself off from any sense of attachment or feeling other than Nocturne and Tav. Her continued need to find carve-outs and exceptions and loopholes parallels Viconia's own eventual disagreements with Shar. And as we know, Shar will eventually betray or abandon her if Shadowheart doesn't betray her first. It's the story of every devout Sharran we meet.
Gale, the God is a smug arrogant hubris-ridden asshole that's even mean to Tara in the epilogue. Nearly every single sentiment he expressed about why he wanted the Crown and to ascend is immediately inverted. Of course he's not going to interfere. He's a figure of aspiration. Once he received power himself he immediately forgot and forsook everyone and everything about why he wanted it in the first place. A romanced God Gale is SLIGHTLY more grounded but that's mostly just because you ground him. And if you ascend with him, that ends that.
Lae'zel's return to Vlaakith results in her ascension, which leads to her missing the party and being very dead. The things that Lae'zel claimed to value will never truly be as long as Vlaakith rules, and her not escaping and falling back into her people's death cult robs her of the ability to create a new Gith, a better Gith.
Karlach is dead, or almost as bad, a Mind Flayer. And while most of her initial personality remains, by six months in she's already grown emotionally distant and her personality is clearly and evidently being slowly overridden by the brains of the dying she consumes. She's forsaken the embrace of death for the guise of eternal continuation in her. And even surrounded by the ten people who should mean the most in the world to her, all she mostly thinks about is others' perceptions of her (ala the Emperor) and the fact that she's hungry. Mind Flayer Karlach even notes that she used to think becoming a Mind Flayer would be the worst thing ever, but now she likes it. Shades of the Emperor x1000 and a clear sign that the Karlach we know and love is rapidly becoming a memory.
and then there's Grand Duke Wyll. On the surface, it appears the happiest of the "bad" endings, but pay attention. Note how he discusses wheeling and dealing and making agreements with patriars. (How well has contracts and deals worked out for you in the past?) Oh, and in certain conditions including romance, Wyll will offer you the chance to become a Grand Duke as well - with the others being his father (Ravengard #3) and Florrick (Wyll/Ulder's longest lasting family friend). That's not a government of the people for the people. When the power is tied up by a husband, spouse, his father, and their most trusted advisor, that's the makings of a monarchy or oligarchy. Of the type of patriar power-claim to last for generations, something Wyll himself once mocked. Oh, and if you adopt a child, then you get into the worst part of it all: Wyll's been busy running a city, and oh hey, instead of y'all bringing YOUR FOUR MONTH OLD DAUGHTER with you, hey, she'll be cool being watched by the Ilmater temple for a night right? Sorry, Wyll, were you saying something a few months ago about distant parenting? Yikes.

Keith was used to random foster parent reassignments. He was used to packing his shit to go from house to house quickly. He was used to meeting whatever exhausted adult who needed the paycheque, knowing he’d be back at the group home in a matter of months. It was clockwork, at this point.
His new foster father was a little different. He was a weirdo.
Keith liked him, a little.
Granted, Keith barely knew him. They’d only really had the one interaction, wherein Keith had met the man who’s car he stole at the police station in handcuffs, and the man had pretty much decided then and there that he wanted to adopt Keith because he found him hilarious.
Yeah. Shiro’s a weirdo. But he’s definitely a break from the norm, which is something Keith appreciates.
“…so, technically, my fiancé is about to have the surprise of his life. But he’s pretty chill, once he gets past all the angry Spanish, so I’m sure it’ll be fine!” Shiro smiles brightly at him, and Keith can’t help the small smile he shoots back. Shiro is definitely kind of a dumbass, and his fiancé is definitely about to go bananas. Like, let’s be serious. Who impulse-decides to foster a child who is also a criminal who has also stolen your shit? It’s inane!
But, well. Keith likes chaos, so. This is going to be interesting.
“Honey, I’m home!” Shiro calls as he opens the apartment door, completely unironically.
Keith forces himself to not find Shiro amusing.
He needs to have some boundaries, or he might go do something really stupid, like get attached.
Jesus.
“In the kitchen,” comes a voice, presumably from the kitchen.
Shiro brightens like a considerably excitable puppy, which is a hilarious face to see on someone who’s supposedly some fancy military officer.
Keith follows Shiro dutifully as he makes his way to the kitchen, watching as a man — the fiancé in question, Keith would assume — idly offers his cheek for a kiss (which Shiro happily obliges) without taking his eyes off the vegetables he’s cutting. Keith sets his bag in the floor and slides onto one of the stools at the kitchen island to watch this play out.
The fiancé has yet to notice him.
“How was your day?”
Shiro’s bright smile never leaves his face. “My car got jacked!” he says, in the same tone someone might say that they were promoted.
To his credit, the fiancé — yikes, Keith needs to learn his name — doesn’t even hesitate.
“That’s probably for the best,” he drawls.
“Yeah, I got it back — hey.” Shiro honest-to-god pouts, and Keith bites his lip to keep his laughter down. “That was mean, Adam. You’re a meanie.”
The fiancé — Adam, finally a name — snorts, pausing for the first time to face Shiro fully. He presses a gentle kiss to his lips, grinning the whole time.
“I’m sorry, Takashi-baby. It’s just that you’re maybe the worst driver ever to pass the test.” He softens his words with another kiss, which seems to mollify Shiro a little.
Keith quietly takes out his notebook and a pencil, and starts sketching. This will make a hilarious comic. Not that he really has anyone to show his comics, but he enjoys amusing himself.
“Anyways,” Adam continues, turning back to the cutting board, “did you get the car back?”
“Yeah! Went to the police station, talked to the kid who took it. He’s actually a sweetheart, and he returned my keys and everything. Say hi, Keith!”
Keith decides he is going to do the funniest thing he could possibly do at the moment. Well, to him, anyway.
“Hi, Keith,” he repeats.
Shiro laughs.
Adam turns around, looks at him, and sighs.
“Takashi,” he says, pinching the bridge of his nose, “did steal a whole-ass child?”
“Of course not! I applied to foster him.”
Adam turns to Keith. “Blink twice if you’ve been kidnapped.”
“Hey!”
Keith snorts. “I don’t think Shiro is capable of kidnapping anyone.”
Adam nods seriously. “Good point. He’s not very organized, is he?”
Keith shakes his head, giggling. “His car is a mess!”
“Hey!” Shiro protests again, but he doesn’t really look upset. “That’s not fair. It’s two versus one!”
Adam and Keith look at each other. Adam raises an eyebrow. Keith nods solemnly. “I’m sorry to inform you, Takashi,” Adam says, “but you are never going to win an argument again.”
Somehow, Shiro doesn’t look very sad at the prospect.
Keith smiles to himself. Maybe this will turn out even better than he thought.

Can you please tell me what this new character you really like is about ? He's your next fictional crush...
Also...Do you have any Lestrange daughter headcanons where she befriends the trio. I think this idea is very Mary Sue, but...I think if one adjusts that let's say her conception is : "Rodolphus Lestrange willingly drank love potion per orders of Voldemort" What are your ideas to make it work ?
Ofc!
Okay, first, I apologize for the "no" response? I was just in the middle of an argument and it kinda happened. Tbh I didn't think it's weird/uncomfortable at all and you can ask me abt all subjects basically.
I don't think it's Mary Sue-ish at all to make the Lestranges have a kid. A lot of characters in hp who shouldn't/wouldn't have children do have them since JKR is a mother and it's a big part of her life and her books, so it wouldn't be a stretch to see Bellatrix give birth as well. I personally think they could have a child without love potions as loveless marriages often do, maybe Bella was infertile and didn't pursue treatment or just got an abortion in canon. If she had a daughter she'd be likely to just give her over to some nanny and barely care for her. I saw your post about Rudolph... why is it that at any time I think a man is even a little hot he gets accused of the most heinous shit ever. He might fancy the dead tho, I mean the purebloods are perverse enough for that and they prob think it's more fine than doing it with a muggle. It made me laugh.
The girl meeting the trio would be interesting, because Harry and Hermione wouldn't even know much about her parents until they're 15 and wouldn't judge her by her roots anyway, but my GOD Ron would fucking spit on her. I think it would be cool if she was in ravenclaw since it would highlight how much she isolates herself. She might go to some adoption system or maybe to the Tonks family?... so she'd be pretty normal. I think dumbledore would persuade someone into adopting her lol. She'd have an interesting relationship with Neville I think. About her personality, she'd be very hotheaded but analytical (a choleric and thinker temperament?), also very strong willed which can make her stubborn. She could be curious and feel a pull towards dark shit and have a whole luke skywalker arc of being afraid of being like her family. Which can be a realistic concern since mental illnesses are often genetic, so she would struggle with that. She would try to be a good person but wouldn't be a great friend and would self isolate a lot, very introverted. A bit machiavellian lmao. Definitely wouldn't share any secrets about herself. Hard time relaying on someone if anyone but the Tonks were the ones to raise her, so some trust issues. But she tries her best.
About that guy... he is James March from American horror story hotel and he's basically a ghost. He was a serial killer in the 20s, built a whole hotel to kill people in and torture them in their last moments n then easily dispose of all evidence. Isn't he just so dreamy? Also a design and engineering genius, a hunter, a gentleman (it's a facade he's a psychopath), has a sexy accent and drinks absinthe. His every MOVEMENT is hot and I'd literally get on my knees for him. Though he might have necro tendencies... that's why I giggled at the Rodolphus post. But James definitely prefers normal sex lmao he had a sex scene with Lady Gaga. He had a traumatic childhood (said his father was awful, has scars on his back...). It's a speculation, but since most of the more evil serial killers were victims of sexual abuse... yikes. But he's fictional so I can like him despite all of that. Or maybe for it? I often fall for fictional killers and/or torturers lol. He's also just charming, like so so charming it's unreal... I also really admire the actor's (Evan Peters) dedication to the character as he did most of the work in characterization.

I’ll actually like to request how the higher ups found out about how powerful baby! SW! Fushiguro is and how was their reaction
Papa Gojo’s protectiveness is going to Infinity!
how gojo reacted when the higher-ups found out how powerful scarlet witch! baby fushiguro! reader actually is
jujutsu kaisen x reader
masterlist of the series
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
╰➤ CW(s): spoilers for jujutsu kaisen, mentions of scarlet witch's abilities and powers, mentions of threat and violence
╰➤ PAIRING(s): platonic! jujutsu kaisen x child! reader (gojo)
before you read: hi, in case you're new, you're megumi's younger half-sibling, and while you don't have cursed energy, you do have scarlet witch's powers and abilities! aside from that, as a special scarlet witch variant, you also have the ability to travel across the multiverse. how chaotic! furthermore, like your half-brother megumi, you are being cared for by gojo satoru, who also serves as your adoptive father. for more info, please see the masterlist.
Tumblr media
when gojo satoru first got you, he shamelessly brought you to jujutsu tech with him because he didn't want to leave you all alone at something like a daycare after discovering how you and the children back there don't really get along. he also needed an excuse to take a break from work and spend time with you, his child.
and when gojo wasn't around, it was either yaga-sensei, nanami, shoko, utahime, or his beloved students who looked after you when you met and warmed to them.
gojo used to bring you to his faculty meetings as well as his meetings with higher-ups, but then something happened—the event that changed everything.
the higher-ups didn't care about you at first. they simply saw you as another fushiguro toji, a person devoid of cursed energy, given that your half-brother, megumi, had already inherited the ten shadows technique. in fact, they have no idea why gojo decided to take you in when you "weren't" even special.
anyway, gojo took you to jujutsu tech as usual. you were holding his hand, munching on a mochi he had brought you for a snack, and he was telling you about this boring faculty meeting he was going to.
"i promise i'll try to make it quick, kikufuku," gojo says with a long sigh, "hopefully gakuganji won't make the meeting take long and just get on with what we're going to discuss."
"it's okay!" you nodded with a smile to which gojo chuckled softly and patted your head.
you both entered the faculty room, where you met shoko, yaga-sensei, utahime, the blue-haired lady, and that old guy gakuganji, whom gojo despised so much. you immediately bowed your head in respect and let gojo hold your hand as you ran up to yaga-sensei, clinging to his pant leg before embracing shoko and utahime.
however, just as you were talking to shoko and utahime, gakuganji interrupted, saying, "we're here for a meeting, not a chit chat."
yikes. well, to be fair, you didn't like that old guy gakuganji either, just as your adoptive father did. he was nothing like gojo's yaga-sensei. shoko, utahime, and even the blue-haired lady you didn't talk to much were kinder and gentler than yaga-sensei.
"oi gramps. it's not good for your age to rush," gojo said, clicking his tongue, "watch it."
with that, gojo turned his attention to you, softening his demeanor from sharp to calm, motioning you over with a smile, "come on, kikufuku."
the faculty meeting quickly followed. tou were fiddling with your fingers, and occasionally with gojo's, as he and everyone else in the room discussed taking in more new students, as well as the grades of gojo's first and second year students, and so on.
to be honest, it was a little boring, so you excused yourself to go outside for a few minutes, and that's when you ran into your older brother, megumi, and his friends, who had just returned from a mission.
"oh, [name]-chan!" yuuji exclaimed with a smile, as he noticed you instantly, "oi! we're back!"
"welcome back!" you exclaimed joyfully, wrapping your arms around yuuji before rushing over to megumi, who patted your head affectionately with a small smile.
"did you miss us, kiddo?" maki quipped, grinning as she placed her hands on her hip, which you nodded your head at in response, "mhm!"
"say, where's gojo-sensei?" nobara asked next.
"daddy has a meeting with everyone back inside," you explained, looking up at nobara.
"you must have gotten bored, huh?" nobara laughed, shaking her head.
it didn't take long for you to start following the first and second year students because the faculty meeting that gojo was having was boring and putting you off, especially with that old guy gakuganji who he despised so much.
you didn't want to hear his thoughts out loud, especially his comments of you being nothing more than gojo's adopted child but, as you were spending time with the students, following them to the grounds, you had an instinctive feeling.
you turned your head in the direction of where you felt a sense of dread. you creased your brows. could this be the cursed energy that gojo told you all about? it felt really strange and more powerful than megumi and his friends.
"[name]? is there something wrong?" megumi inquired, noticing your gaze was diverted elsewhere. he eventually sensed it before he could react further. the jujutsu sorcerers blinked. it wasn't just an ominous aura wafting in the amotsphere. it was a curse's.
megumi furrowed his brows at you, confused. he knew from gojo that you didn't have cursed energy, so how did you just sense that?
"stay behind us, [name]," megumi exclaimed, pulling you behind him as he and his classmates readied themselves for the stance and stood in front of you protectively, feeling the curse's immense energy draw closer and closer.
for some strange reason, stray curses have recently become prevalent. gojo had already expressed his concern about this to the higher-ups, but it was still happening.
you found yourself gulping nervously as the trees in front of you shook violently. the energy emanating from whatever was out there was foreboding. as the wind whipped up, you found yourself clinging to megumi's pant leg, closing your eyes shut in fear.
WHOOOSH!
when you finally had the courage to open your eyes and look up, you saw nobara and yuuji, as well as maki and panda, flinging from the immense raw cursed energy that had just sliced through the air. "it's an unregistered special grade," megumi exclaimed as he summoned his demon dogs, holding you protectively.
your eyes widened in fear. that was just raw energy right now, and yet half of megumi's friends had been blown away, and worse, they had been injured. your hands and lips trembled at the sight of blood dripping and wounds all over them.
"megumi! [name]!" you and your brother both directed your gaze to the opposite end of the grounds, where you discovered gojo and the rest of the faculty running towards you two. mei-mei, yaga, and utahime rushed to help the students who had been seriously injured.
however, before they could reach you and megumi, you both were blown away by the same tremendous raw cursed energy. as you became separated from him in mid-air,egumi screamed for you. gojo teleported towards you instinctively at first, but everything seemed to slow down. just as gojo was about to grab you, the special grade curse appeared, only a few inches away from you.
you weren't sure, but the same feeling you had, when you sensed the curse and saw how everyone else was injured, grew stronger.
within a split second, an explosive burst of sanguine red mixed with black streaks had washed the entire area, creating smoke from its collision with the curse. gojo and the rest of jujutsu sorcerers reacted in the same way that megumi and the others had to the special grade curse.
"w-what was that?!" nobara cried out.
maki's eyes widened, "...was that the curse?"
"that wasn't a curse," gojo muttered, his light blue six eyes widening at the sight of your small silhouette standing in the middle of the grounds. "that was [name]" he exclaimed, along with yaga, mei-mei, utahime, and, most notably, gakuganji.
you found yourself staring at the curse, which had nearly been obliterated by the red repulsive energy you had just released. your gaze was drawn to the red vapor-like hues seeping from your fingers.
"[name]? but, she doesn't have cursed energy.." utahime muttered in disbelief, "h-how?"
"this cannot be," gakuganji exclaimed, his closed fists trembling.
before gojo could respond, the curse flung its raw cursed energy towards you as you darted towards megumi, whipping up a violent wind intended to cleave you, but with a simple raise of your hands, the same red psionics from earlier came out and protected you, deflecting it like nothing. you found yourself softly gasping and eventually smiling. this power—it felt strange, but it felt right—so right.
this newfound power caused you to behave as if you were on autopilot. the jujutsu sorcerers looked on in awe as you subconsciously augmented your speed and made your way towards megumi and gojo.
the curse whipped more wind at you and lunged at you, gojo, and megumi with blinding speed. its sharp talons were meant to cut you down, but you stopped it with your red psionics. as the curse struggled against you and your power, you found yourself subconsciously smirking at it. your [color] eyes are now a menacing red.
your red psionics lacerated its limb without another word and in a split second, and the next thing you knew, you were unconsciously twitching your fingers as you raised your hand. you proceeded to lift the curse into the air, and it disintegrated into nothing as your red psionics tore it down, releasing a massive shockwave in the process.
both megumi and gojo immediately pulled you into their arms as the entire area trembled at the mercy of your power. that was how immense those red psionics of yours were. in fact, it felt even more dreadful than that curse.
"kikufuku! hey, are you okay?" gojo cupped your face in his larger hands, still stunned by the faint red glow in your [color] eyes, "kikufuku!"
gakuganji had intervened before you could respond to your adoptive father. as his heavy footsteps thumped across the ground, you instinctively held onto gojo and megumi.
"that child is a monster!" gakuganji exclaimed, waving a finger at you angrily.
you muttered, lips trembling, "w-what?"
"hey, watch your fucking mouth old man," gojo bit back, holding you protectively close to him as his unveiled six eyes glared darkly at him.
"that wasn't cursed energy, but it was far greater than a special grade's!" gakuganji continued, "all this time, you've been hiding that kind of power from the higher-ups when it poses a threat, an even bigger threat than sukuna's vessel and the queen of curses!"
as gakuganji stormed away, you couldn't help but let tears fall from your eyes. didn't you just save megumi and the rest from that curse? was that what you really were? a monster?
"[name]," megumi noticed the tears streaming down your cheeks as you bit your lip and hung your head low, "hey.. it's okay.." your older brother comforted you by rubbing your arm.
"that son of a bitch," gojo clicked his tongue and clenched his hands into fists, "who does he think he is, huh?"
"i-i'm.. sorry.." you sputtered out, now breaking down into a sob, "i'm so sorry.."
"no.. [name].. hey, now.." megumi patted your head, "it's not your fault. don't apologize."
"listen to megumi," gojo said, his gaze and tone of voice softening as he turned his attention to you, "you did nothing wrong. in fact, you were amazing. your papa was right about you being special." gojo smiled and caught your tears.
"but.. he said.. he said he was going to tell.. and i'm a.. t-threat.." you sniffled, rubbing your eyes.
"i'm going to protect you, kikufuku. it's going to be okay, i promise. daddy will take care of it," gojo embraced you tightly, rubbing your back before kissing and patting the top of your head.
the higher-ups were furious after you used your psionics for the first time. they felt the shockwave and the intensity of it despite being miles away from you. but either way, gojo remained true to his words. he made certain to leave you in the care of megumi, knowing how your older brother would be able to look after you as he presented himself to the higher-ups.
"we entrusted fushiguro [name] to you precisely, and you dared to keep her gift a secret, gojo satoru. if your child had remained uncontrollable, [name] could have wiped out an entire town, a city!" one of them exclaimed.
"if [name] had, i would have risked my life to prevent her from harming anyone, and mind you, [name] did not pose a threat to anyone. she protected our students from the stray special grade curse that all of you failed to keep out," gojo retorted back at the higher-ups.
"if the zenin clan had only taken custody of fushiguro [name], maybe she wouldn't have accidentally unleashed something devastating like that. we should execute that child!" said another, scoffing, suggesting to the others.
"if it comes to that decision, then i will just kill all of you right here and then," gojo said as he pulled his blindfold around his neck, revealing his crystalline blue eyes, which were now staring coldly at each of them who were hiding within their walls.
there was a spine-chilling tension in the air as gojo tilted his head and clenched his fist.
"[name] may not have my name, but she's my child, and she's under my custody."

J/B Week 2023: Day Five
It's Friday, yay!!! I'm soooo ready for the weekend.
Question five: Favorite trope for them?
Yikes, another tough one, because there are a lot to choose from. I guess if I were to pick one, it would be "found family." Canonically, they both have family, but we know next to nothing about Brienne's except that she's the only living child of four and her father is...yeah, good luck trying to figure Selwyn Tarth out. And as for Jaime...the less said about his relationships with his family, the better, to be honest. When the best of the bunch is his relationship with Tyrion, which is currently not good, you know how screwed up the family is. (OK OK, I'm leaving out Aunt Genna. Let's just say close family.)
So with that in mind, what would be better than the two of them finding each other, and forming their own little family? I can't even remember now how I discovered Tumblr--probably through AO3--but I remember reading through all of the Ser Mum, Ser Dad and Their Dumbass Northern Kids vignettes, which were a riot. But even if they're not adopting every kid in Westeros, it's having people around them who care that matters, because even when there are people around them in canon, Jaime and Brienne are very much alone. So, yeah. That's my pick.

I've been thinking about so many seasons on the Sonic Ninjago AU and I'm dying to talk about the ones that are particularly interesting.
So... I'm pretty sure that based off of my art, Season 11 (which I think is underrated on both ends), Season 6 (Skybound, renamed Phantom), and Season 8 (Sons of Garmadon/Doom) specifically kept getting my attention. So... Let's talk about them.
A lot about them.
Season 6:
I cast Infinite in the role of Nadakhan for a few reasons. But the main reason is because of the "Wishing" plot line.
You see; Infinite comes from Null Space, which was disrupted due to the Dark Gaia incident (unbalanced energy). But he has the Phantom Ruby, a thing known to create illusions, from the get go.
So I twisted the wishing system so instead of a djinn it's a direct illusion to manipulate the wish into "coming true". Basically a false reality. Then Infinite would've crushed those illusions and break the ones he was tormenting.
And during this all, Infinite goes after multiple targets, but realized just how dangerous one of the Ninja was specifically, that being Tails. He was too smart for his own good, leading to Infinite capturing the kit during a fight and taking him to someplace, once again controlling the scenery using the Phantom Ruby and tormenting the fox with illusions. And this?
Tumblr media
Infinite gave him that scar when Tails tried to fight back. Tails became half blind after that so when things were brought back to normal and the scar healed over, he just used a special blue contact to hide the fact he was blind.
His friends did try to rescue him, and Infinite began to torture them as well with his illusions. Once they gave in and "wished for it to go away", he'd trap them in the Phantom Ruby and grow stronger because of it.
And it was all up to Tails to rescue everyone and stop this before it got worse.
----
Season 8:
Oh dear... Eclipse and Shadow's relationship is definitely the most enticing part of this saga. So... I'm gonna be brief on the characters relationship and what roles the two take on.
Harumi and Lloyd. Harumi is the adopted princess after losing her parents when the Great Devourer attacked, and is also the secret leader of the "Sons of Garmadon", an organization made to ressurect Garmadon himself, Lloyd's father.
The thing is, the Garmadon they wanted to bring back was only the evil oni side, and they had to gather the three oni masks and gather DNA samples of everyone he's related to or had a strong connection with to bring him back from the departed realm.
And what happened before Garmadon was resurrected? Harumi manipulating Lloyd, soon backstabbing him and later capturing him, forcing him to watch as his father was brought back from the dead with him and his mother as hostages.
Yikes. Now with that in mind... Eclipse is Harumi, Shadow is Lloyd. They have a brotherly bond, except... Its all fake.
Eclipse is the secret leader of the "Sons of Doom", and has discuised himself as a hedgehog to blend in, along with special contacts to turn his sclera white and his pupils a more... "friendly" color. He acted up the role of an abandoned child that got brought in by the royal family and "adopted". After the false alarm for an attack, the Ninja are let in the castle and allowed to stay along with help protect the pendant of Deception.
Shadow took an interest into Eclipse, who weirdly felt like him... He could never explain it, but felt like he had a connection.
So when the two began to bond and become friends, they developed this sweet dynamic of being brothers who looked out for each other. And Shadow became a lot more open as Eclipse did the same. But it was all a ploy... A trap to lure Shadow in close for Eclipse to control.
And it worked.
Eclipse got the Pendant of Hatred, and Shadow realized what was going on when it was too late. The two fought but... This was the first and very few times Shadow hesitated to hurt someone. And it got him and his sister, Maria, captured.
Black Doom got resurrected after that. And Shadow lost the fight to him. He lost his powers, and Season 9: Hunted begins.
---
Season 11, Part 1:
Okay, specifically Metal Sonic and Sonic so I'll keep this short. Metal is not the Master of Metal.
It would've been a similar joke to "Shadow, Master of Shadow" but... By this canon's logic, a robot has never held elemental powers before. Until recently.
Metal stole Sonic's speed, making Sonic powerless and him strong enough to almost wipe out the rest of the Ninja Team. He keeps them locked away as he heads out to attack Station Square (Ninjago City).
And when he got his hands on the Forbidden Spinjitzu scroll, he was nearly unstoppable. That was, until Amy got her hands on her own scroll and managed to decimate him.
... And then she got sent to Boscage Maze.
Season 11, Part 2:
This iis what I call the Vine Chapter, since the first half is the Speed Chapter. Amy was discovered by Starline and hipnotized into becoming Queen Thorn, the ruler of the jungle.
Tumblr media
And she committed so many crimes. She wiped out the Seedrian population. She overflowed the jungle so much many places became uninhabitable. Survival became a harder struggle with little sunlight and rain reaching to below the canopy.
And when the Ninja arrive, they quickly notice these odd corrupted plants and vines that seem to drain the life out of whatever they catch. They end up in a small village blocked off from the rest of the jungle, with Shadow soon heading off to find Amy after learning where she was: At the Queen's castle. He's unaware that Amy is the Queen, so it's definitely a shock when he does discover that.
Enter: Cosmo. The last of the Seedrians and taking the place of Akita, who was the last of the Formlings. The parallels between the two, even in canon, is unreal.
But Cosmo is seeking a sort of passive aggressive revenge against the Queen, training herself on how to use her plant magic along with tapping into more... Dark influences to do it. And Shadow felt like he's seen this before.
Because he was in a similar position: Training to use his powers and holding onto his darker influences to favor the Black Arm's success. So he knows where she's coming from and the two relate to each other somewhat over this.
And eventually the Megaflora, a creation Thorn made, attacks. Shadow gets captured and seperated from Cosmo, who almost dies, and is basically locked up in a vine wrapped tree tower. Hence... This sketch to image.
Tumblr media
Vines to the limbs, keeping you trapped in place. And if it weren't for figuring out the plants weakness was Shadow able to escape. He confronted Thorn and tried to bring her back, but Starline's influence remained strong.
In fact, Thorn almost kills Shadow through strangling him using her vines! But before he died, she realized what she was doing and immediately released him, struggling to comprehend what she just did.
She notices the scroll. And rips it to shreds. And that's the end of it as she traps Starline, solidifying her regaining control over herself.
The damage is soon reversed by sheer energy and force, fixing the jungle for the most part. Now the main problem is returning home.
---
Now for a few small extra things:
Season 5: Dark Gaia. I'm not sure if I'll include the idea of getting cursed or not but... Werehog Sonic feels tempting. He'd be like Cole in turning into a ghost via a curse and remains like that for a while until Day of the Dark Gaia to reverse it.
Season 15: Seabound. I have no idea what I wanna do for it, but I wanna include shape-shifting Merlings. I just think they're neat.
Season 16: Starfall. If Lloyd gets an Oni form, I want Shadow to have his own charged up alien form at some point. Also... Gonna rewrite that season entirely if I ever get to that.
Season 4: Tournament of Elements. Didn't know where to put this but Robotnik's plan for the tournament is to steal the powers of the elemental masters, use them to rebuild the Death Egg, and roboticize the entire world. As to why the Ninja are there? Rouge got kidnapped when trying to spy on him. She's basically Zane in this situation.

Ok I watched the Caribert quest with a fresher mind (yes it takes weeks to refresh my mind), and now I have additional thoughts from my scrambled egg brain:
- The Caribert is Kaeya theory was honestly a genuinely good idea for a moment due to curious text lines... I only doubt it due to different voice actors for Kaeya's father and Clothar Alberich. For the most part, a solid theory if we can ignore the voice actor tidbit. Otherwise, I think he is from Clothar's legitimate line or Clothar has a brother or two (based on who he was inspired by)
- the Khaenri'ahn library honestly feels like the Library of Alexandria at this point. This is the same library that apparently had the information Clothar needed to try and cure Caribert. Also, in the beginning of the quest, Kaeya mentions a book he read in his youth that mentioned where Khaenri'ah (or one of the entry points anyway) is located which I guess is probably not found within the Ragnvindr collection because he mentioned himself that he had just been taken in. Imagine the centuries of information they must have had to become the most advanced nation of their time (and even now). With Khaenri'ah gone, 90% of that library's information is probably destroyed. That definitely set back the entirety of Teyvat lmao
- I think I mentioned in a previous post how curious it is that people of Teyvat don't know that Khaenri'ahns (non-full blooded ones anyway) were turned into hilichurls. When was the Caribert quest set though? Because the forest rangers there didn't know about it at all, and if transforming into hilichurls was a slow process, the lack of information these people have is weird... unless everyone who transformed only transformed during the war in Khaenri'ah, which is why Clothar was telling Caribert "no more red skies, no more war"
- speaking of those forest rangers... the way they talk about hilichurls left a bad taste in my mouth. I have the feeling that the Knights of Favonius also have several knights talk like that....... and Kaeya has to hear that regularly...he has been for nearly a decade.......
- For the abyss twin to be called the Prince/Princess of Khaenri'ah, they must have been taken in by Alberich clan right? I wanted to say King Irmin took them in, but then I wondered why they didnt become the king/queen themselves and instead got the Alberich clan to be regents. The Alberich clan was far larger than I think it was (its probably a very large family for sure if Clothar can say that it's impossible for our twin to know everyone even though Clothar is an Alberich himself). Our twin never became the king/queen so our twin being adopted by the Alberichs sound more likely (Kaeya calling our twin uncle/aunt, could yall imagine? Or even brother/sister... Kaeya calling them gramps/grandma HAHAHA)
- Even within the abyss order, they can't call our twin the king/queen. Dainsleif mentioned there's an order to these things, and since an Alberich was the founder... by heir right, should there be no other Alberich, that would really mean that Kaeya is their next king. Yikes, I'd get drunk daily too if i were him.
I think I have a theory forming within my brain regarding the crystal the hilichurls were worshipping... but thats for next time.

Alright. With Crystalized seemingly pushing Llorumi we do have to talk about the incest part. And mostly the question; Is it even incest? Sounds stupid, yes.
I’ll be trying to stay objective and use fair argument combined with world lore.
Point of note, this might feel a little uncomfortable for some people because of the factuality possibly going against what some feel morally. You have now been warned.
To answer this question we first need to look at what incest actually is. This source is from the Cornell Law school in the IS.
Tumblr media
Now this very clearly states that incest is the sexual relationship between two closely related parties like brother and sister, which is the argument we are talking about. Please note that I will not be taking the sexual part literally, since ace-spec is of course a thing everyone views different about them. For the sake of the argument we’ll assume that if they end up together they might be interested in it at some point. I will also not be taking most of the legal aspect into a count since Ninjago probably has different laws as opposed to the US. If anything they would take from Chinese and Japanese laws which… uhm…
Well let’s just say that no matter how incest-y it will get it’ll be legal in that case. Big fricking yikes to both those countries.
Back to the source, we now have to decide wether they are siblings. This source explicitly stated how the incest is between related parties, which they aren’t. There is no blood relation.
End case? No.
We now have to talk about adoption.
According to liveabout.com there is no legal way to marry as adopted siblings, not in the US at least. Which brings up the point of laws again, so I can ignore that for now. What I find more interesting is the forth sentence.
Tumblr media
It stars how siblings, adopted by law, are siblings and can therefore not marry. Which leaves us with the question, did Garmadon actually adopt Harumi?
Yes, he took her as ‘his child’ in season 9, but I highly doubt that if they met up again in Crystalized he would suddenly have custody and be legally responsible for her crimes (by us law) since she is still a minor. And aside from that he adopted her for what, 2 or 3 in universe days? After that she died (partly because of him) and they’ve been virtually ignoring each other’s existence ever since. Yes Garmadon probably doesn’t know she’s alive, but I’m not entirely sure he’d care. Yes he went into a destructive rage when she died, but after that nothing seems to hold up. We may not have seen much of him since, but with how he felt about Lloyd in s10 I doubt he would still care about her as a parental figure, assuming he ever even did.
But of course there’s still the moral aspect. By this logic you could live alone in the woods your whole life with your child, then take another child from the streets and raise them both, and they could be married without legal or biological problems.
The reason it makes us uncomfortable is because in the scenario I just mentioned they were raised as siblings. But no matter how you look at it, Lloyd and Harumi just-
Weren’t.
They met before the ‘adoption’, they spent no time with their ‘father’ as a family, they grew up apart and met as teenagers, heck, they were friends for a week in s8 before Harumi did the whole crimeboss thing.
So, they is no blood relation, Harumi’s adoption was informal at best to a non-existent joke at worst and they have no kind of sibling relationship.
Counter argument!
Tumblr media
This tweet was made by Tommy Andreason, one of the writers, a year ago in response to asking if it was accurate to view Morro and Lloyd as cousins since Wu took in Morro. Yo which I say
1. In all honesty these tweets have been wrong before
2. We can still apply that logic to the previous points we made.
In the Twitter argument we (almost) know Wu adopted Morro, just not legally. Meaning the legality of the Harumi adoption does not have to be considered for the argument to be “kind of right”. What should be considered however is the way zei and Morro’s relationship works. Because from every flashback we’ve seen, the s5 finale ánd Day of the Departed, we can clearly, CLEARLY tell they care. They care a lot.
Their training, their bonding, trying to save each other, and I’m sorry to say this but I just don’t see that with Garmadon here.
The closest we got was when Mystake pretended to be Harumi and Garmadon became weary of her because of not mentioning Skylor’s powers. Yes, this turned out to be accurate and he complimented Harumi for revealing the truth 2 minutes later.
And in episode 8 when she died she tried to convince him te leave to save their lives. He went on to ignore her and stay, threatening both of their lives, ignoring he regen she left and accidentally causing her death.
But even with all of this you could hold the argument that that’s just his personality, right? That was a major point in s10, right? YES. You are ABSOLUTELY right for thinking that. I for one at a huge s8-present Garmadon apologist and you could definitely view these scenes both ways. So in the end, the ‘is Garmadon a parent to Harumi and does the green cousins logic apply’ argument boils down to hoe Garmadon will react to her in Crystalized. Point of note that I have seen up until episode 17 at this point.
In the end absolutely everything boils down to how Garmadon will treat Harumi. It doesn’t matter if it will be as an ally, enemy, friend, people who have met before. As long as he doesn’t treat her as his daughter, I’m sorry people,
Then it cannot be considered incest.
And we can easily check this since he almost exclusively refers tobber as ‘my child’ or ‘my daughter’ in those few scenes. He just has to call her Harumi to her face. Heck, she just has to call him Garmadon to his face and it will prove those very fragile ‘familial bonds’ are broken. Besides, id Garmadon could disown his son just like that he could definitely do the same with an informally short term adopted child who now seems to not really care about him or at least be very disappointed in him (episode 13).
We just need one, ONE of these scenes and it’ll decide the case.
Does it seem like that incest at first glance? Yes. Can I understand the logic behind it? Yes. Can I imagine it making someone uncomfortable?DEFINITELY YES.
But in the end, when it comes down to it and you look at it from a factual and in-lore perspective, it just isn’t.
And this isn’t me smashing the ship doesn’t have problems, oh no. If you want to dislike the ship more than just ‘I don’t vibe with it’ (which is enough of a reason already) then there are tons, and I mean TONS of reasons I can definitely get behind. But in the end, this one isn’t it.
TL;DR
If you want to hate the ship don’t do it for the incest while there are perfectly viable and defendable reason to hate it.
Have a nice day!

•CHIHARU SAKAI (酒井千春)•
-The playful and curious 14-year old daughter of Jin and Yuna.-
-So mildly different from her parents, Chiharu spends her days in laughter and zest. -
-with the looming fear of growing up, she is anxious to find her purpose to be able to live up to the expectations of her family, including her adopted siblings whom Yuna had taken in after the first invasion.

•[post-hypothetical sequel lore!!]
_______________________________
After the Mongol invasion of 1281, Jin had lost his life to the war. A war which forced Yuna and several other residents of Tsushima to flee to the mainland to seek sanctuary.
A divine storm came and brought the Mongols to ruin, for years Yuna had believed that it was Jin’s spirit returning one final time to protect his homeland…
Though, it was unknown to her until three months after his death that she was pregnant with his child. With the help and reassurance of her adopted children and her allies from Tsushima, Yuna gave birth to a daughter whom she named by the season in which she was born.
It was then that Yuna swore that her family would never have to endure the horrors of war ever again. Swearing to never return to the island of Tsushima, it would be too much for her heart to bear.

(yikes extensive lore without the chapters long fanfiction even leading up to this 😭, which I haven’t finished in the like 3 years I’ve had to do so.)
—————————————————
-Chiharu had lived her whole life without knowing who her father is, only hearing short stories about him from her mother, siblings, and those who knew him. Yuna had kept it from her on purpose in fear of how she would perceive him, and the stories of the Ghost she’d hear knowing that he was her father.
-Chiharu is easily awestruck by people who have their lives figured out, knowing exactly what they want to do and what their good at. She feels as though she has no real skills that could be useful to anyone.
-She is teased often by a group of local teenagers, which often gets to her already insecure personality. Though, she is always uplifted by her family.
-She takes on several jobs and apprenticeships that she usually bails out of quickly when she doesn’t catch on right away, usually out of fear that she’ll mess up beyond the point of no return.
-She always feels as though she’s missing so much about herself that she can’t quite pinpoint who or what she really wants to be.
-Though, thanks to her optimistic outlook she tries not to let it weigh her down from taking on new challenges in hopes of finding her niche.
I will probably post more Chiharu stuff in the future but we will see!

Avatar: The Way of water Fic head canons (Aonung x Original Female character)
• A ship from Earth arrives at Hell's Gate, and inside is a sixteen years old girl... Max's daughter.
• Long story short, Max married a fellow doctor (pediatrician) some years before departing from Earth although they were engaged for a long time. Due to our planet's decaying stability, various natural catastrophes took place, one of them a horrible earthquake who left very few survivors, one child. The one Max and Philip adopted when she was two (bureaucracy, yikes) and raised as their own.
• Shanti (Peace in Hindi) is of Irish birth, but growing up with Indian and American fathers acquired some of their customs and sayings as well. Her birth last name is Healy, which her fathers let her keep along with Max's (Philip doesn't like his, so to respect his wishes I'm not going to share it). He was more than happy when he proposed to Max because it meant changing his family name - and marrying, of course.
• She calls Philip Dad and Max "Paapa" (Dad in Hindi)
• Philip calls her sweetling, Max calls her "chhote phool" (small flower in Hindi)
• Shanti has long, wavy ✨light✨ brown hair she keeps in low ponytail/braid depending on the day and clear green eyes, isn't tall as a tree but she's lithe and athletic, has good coordination and quick thinking.
• She's a kind, gentle girl who likes to learn, loves to dance (specializes in Kathak, Odissi and Irish riverdance) and would like to become a doctor and veterinarian, drawing inspiration from her fathers' work.
• Shanti was also born deaf, so she uses sign language to communicate and can read people's lips. She can talk but is unsure of how she sounds; she likes and can sing though, via touch and contact with someone's skin she's able to make out the rhythm of a song and sing along to it through the vibrations in the person's bones.
• Of course Max is distraught about his husband's death, but he's happy and overjoyed to have his daughter there.
• She quickly proves herself a trustworthy and reliable ally, helping out in Awa'atlu and learning all she can of medicine from Max, Norm *and* Ronal, wanting to be able to assist the Na'vi that gave her a roof - because as soon as she befriended the teens' gang, she was one of the people.
• She immediately learned the Metkayina sign language and from then on it was BOOM, we're adopting this cool soft-hearted girlie.
• Since she's constantly in Awa'atlu to see her friends and have study sessions with Ronal and Tsireya, she was given her own pod which Kiri, Tuk and Tsireya helped her embellish.
• Upon having to demonstrate what human dances are like to a curious Tsireya, Shanti performed a Kathak piece with the help of a violin-holding Norm and everyone's jaws dropped. Humans are able to create pretty things after all. Lo'ak swears that during the performance Aonung straight up stopped breathing, but there was no recording... that we know of.
• At first Shanti and Aonung share an awkward, shy friendship, that then turns into a full-on camaraderie and "Have you seen my son?" "Ask Shantee". It blossoms into love last, but it's so gradual that all those around them know and feel it developing (and the two are also aware but plagued by "What if she doesn't feel the same?" and "What if he can't be with a human girl?/What if my being human is too much of a sorrow on him?"
• Eventually they do get formally engaged with both Tonowari and Ronal's blessing other than Max's, who are happy to see their children happy with someone who respects and values them
• Shanti teaches Aonung to recognize edible plants on other Pandora regions and makes him food bags for hunts, while he teaches her to breathe underwater so her exopacket lasts longer as she's there - he also shows her nice places he discovered as he went here and there on his little adventures.

Okay, caught up to the episode fully at long last.
And holy fuckin' shit. Buck!whumpees getting served... all of the pain and angst and yikes and the coma.
Some things I just need to spew out, even though none of it makes sense or is supposed to, but I just need to get it out of the system.
Tumblr media
Bobby and Buck
The parallel of Bobby holding the baby and then later holding on to Buck as he's lowered down... OMFG. The fact that he says similar words "c'mere, kid", "c'mon, kid"... I just can't. They're so sick for this. And I'm so sick for this. This is so sick, sick, sick. And I'm here for it, crying my eyes out.
Also, magnificent callback to how the two began and how they clashed in the first ever episode. As I've mentioned in a previous post, I'd LOVE (and be deaded by it) to see Bobby coming more into his own as a father figure for Buck. It's something he's more or less shied away from, as he's done with Athena's kids, until a life-threatening situation come along. And boy, here it is.
Time to make that adoption official, Bobby. Boy's up for grabs.
Also also, the chili scene (weird name, but hey). For one, we get kind of a reverse between the two (Buck doing the cooking, Bobby going down internet research rabbit holes, which is a very Buck thing to do). But then Buck asking about the secret ingredient (and it ain't about the chili). And while Bobby provides him with the answer to perfect the dish, Buck's still none the wiser about what the secret ingredient is to bring his life to perfection.
Am I going to make a stupid joke about chocolate brown eyes factoring into this? No? Good that we all agree that this would be very embarrassing. But still, Eddie totally is the cocoa in that recipe, is all I'm saying.
Also also also, eternally interesting that we have Bobby struggling to move forward after his sponsor's death. And my guessing is that Buck's future now being on the line might just be the right catalyst to break him out of that vicious cycle. Like, him not giving up on figuring out what happened to his friend is good and right (and May's on the right track with it all... even though I am not a fan of civilian investigator doing this because they somehow can for reasons of their parents being in the profession... not a fan of those story lines, even though I love both May and Athena here).
But. There is a level of "obsession" to sticking to the past with Bobby, instead of looking for ways to move forward again. And Buck's accident as well as the recovery might serve just that purpose. To make Bobby see that he has new things to hold on to, a future to live towards. Because he's needed. Like, earlier on in the season, Bobby's been thinking about how the house is empty with the kids out (and he instantly adopted a dog because that guy is just dad shaped). To me, it felt like Bobby's been a bit lost well before things went down with his sponsor.
What's interesting to me is that this is something he shares in with Buck, even though they have very different ways of going about it.
Buck's basically on the opposite trajectory (leaving out the Daniel remark for the moment). Buck is not too invested in looking into the past, he's obsessed with the future (anyone thinking about those software updates again?). He is very much focused on looking ahead (helping to create a life that will reach further into the future, trying to find happiness that lies in the future, etc.).
Also, I will just say. Bobby dares to say "son" instead of "kid" at some point of this arc, I will lose it. Absolutely fuckin' lose it. And I will also totally lose any remaining shit I've got left in me if we see that guy praying for Buck. I cannot. I just cannot.
Buck noticing the small things but losing the big picture out of sight
Gotta say, I loved how they've built up the tension, and I felt like it reflected a lot in Buck noticing "small" things, until the big thing hit him in a flash. Buck saw the gasoline and stopped with the saw before sparks could fly. Crisis averted. He notices that the chili is missing a key ingredient. He is aware (has no real illusions) about how his parents may have just wanted to win an argument and how they do not approve of his life choices. He kept tabs on who went up the ladder truck when, which is why he knows it's his turn now. He notices something's off about the sounds in the sky. And then, hit in a flash.
In a way, I find that somewhat reflective of what we've seen with Buck thus far. Sure, he's made some truly life-changing decisions (hence big pictures). But in his quest for "true happiness" he's been all over the place.
He took inventory, got that armchair instead of a damned couch (obsessed about said couch to a very confused Bobby). Started with those self-help books. He hears about how Lucy may have been interim captain, which has him wonder about the big picture of where he fits in the firehouse in the future. The donor vs. dad thing - and how "the small deed" of filling a cup contributes to the big picture for someone else. Lev and him talking about what's potentially in store for him and Buck thinks the big milestones (wife, kids, house, you name it) are still on the horizon for him. But that's really just the details.
So my guessing is that they may want to hit the point home that Buck looks at the whole of it. To figure out what his true happiness is (and that he already has most of it, maybe just need that one co-worker to smooch him for good).
Parenthood
I felt like it was a very interesting choice that parenthood (and to a larger degree fatherhood, I felt) was at the forefront in an episode that ended on this... high note. Especially since one infamous father and certified DILF was not at all that present for that convo.
Like, I found it very deliberate that Eddie didn't factor into the fatherhood storyline as he normally would have. Because that is what we normally have when Buck's supposed to relate to his own position towards fatherhood, tangling things up with Eddie and Christopher (which, you know, Buddie).
Part of it, going by the stills, will be that they save it up for next week's episode (so I may never stop crying in my entire life over Christopher being at Buck's bedside). But I find it very interesting that they "removed" Christopher and Eddie as filters for Buck to reflect fatherhood through. And now we may very well get Eddie having to reflect on it without the Buck filter. Which is to say: He has to think about what it'd be like to be a father to Christopher without Buck in the picture. Which is interesting. To say the least. And potentially very, very gay. In the best possible way. Anywho.
Then we had other (grand-) father figures (Philip and Chim's father). I'm still pretty blank on what they wanna do with Chim and his father, to be honest. Also, Albert's way of acting keeps striking me as though there's more to it. I'm not yet sure what it is, but we'll have to see. I found it wonderful to have Hen tell Chimney that he should use his chance to say what he has to say (and reach some kind of conclusion that she's never gotten). After his father deprived him of the chance for all those years. And I do hope it offers him healing. But yeah, I'd have to sit on that a while longer.
So on to Philip... still somewhat a mystery to me, that dude. Like, was he really invested in "defending" his son, or was he - as Buck noted - maybe just not willing to let Chim's father have the last word on it? I am honestly unsure. I felt like him and Margaret were making an effort (as Chim noted, only on their best behavior). But I'm not entirely sure if that's coming from a genuine place of wanting to mend things with their kids. Or if they are much more focused on having that relationship with Jee as grandparents (you know, fresh starts and all). Like, as sweet as it was to see Margaret goof around with Jee (and what may come to highlight how far she's come along with her therapy)... it might also be rather bitter in the end. That she can be like this to her grandchild - but not to her own children.
What both fathers share in, to me at least, is how vastly different they are from Bobby as a father figure for Buck (and how inferior, really). Bobby's offering of advice and support comes from a genuine place, it always did. He helps Buck grow, and he's not really concerned to win an argument or to appear as the "better dad" or whatever. Even though he is. Dad shaped man, oh you. Like, it's not about appearances for him. But I feel like for Buck's actual parents, to a degree, it still is. Maybe they'll overcome that, but... I'm not sure.
Speaking of, the Buckley parents. Christ almighty, why does Margaret have to be so cringe sometimes? I guess this proved where Buck got this from at long last, because yeah, that's his mom right there. But. Oh. My. God. Why. Are. You. Like. This???
She really strikes me as the kind of mom that would've made everyone uncomfortable at any kind of school thing (and kudos to the actress for portraying it so well). She's so uptight and weird about it. But she's also nosy, while struggling so hard to let anyone see what cards she's got in her hand. Like, ugh. I can't with those kinds of people.
Her first impulse being that Buck would have a photo of Maddie's sonogram on his phone was both cringe and also so... devastating in a way? Like, great set-up for Buck's character arc here, but... that her first thought's not "oh, my son might be a father!" but that it's "oh, my daughter is gonna be a mom again, and he is also there to be an uncle again!" ... It is very telling, I believe.
Because Margaret and Philip didn't really compute Buck as that kind of person. And I do believe it was a deliberate contrast, after we opened the episode with Buck being great with the kids by the beach. Like, we as the audience know how great Buck is with kids, but for his parents, that's a total mystery.
Which is the absolute antithesis to Eddie telling Buck that he's Christopher's legal guardian. Eddie saw all this time that Buck's dad shaped, too. To the Buckley parents, he's still... anything but that. Margaret literally says to him that he's a "miracle baby", hence not really recognizing him as a rational, capable adult on his quest towards his own sense of fatherhood (son, not father). They still see him more as the troublemaker not ready to settle, it feels like.
Also, "miracle baby". Margaret. Why (yes, I know, for narrative purposes, but OMFG, lady, what the flying fuck's wrong with you???). The Buckley parents continue to push this idea of Buck being a miracle for as long as he provides services to others (either by saving or creating lives). They still have seemingly not grasped how important it is for them to recognize Buck's inherent value as a person and not just as a miracle that keeps on giving.
Also, the wording is just so... cringe. No, he's not a miracle baby. He never was. He was conceived to perform the miracle they could not, with the expectation of being the miracle bringer (and that he later on believed he disappointed said miracle by not being able to save Daniel). Like, Margaret, that's not a miracle baby. That's still a savior sibling you wanted to produce. Even if you put the miracle label on top, that changes nothing about the circumstance.
And if the writers want for them to learn that lesson... it certainly is the right place and time to teach them that. And if not... it will show what stuff they're actually made of, I guess. We'll have to see. As I said in a previous post, I don't know where they want to take the Buckley parents (more towards "redemption" or as the ultimate reminder of the reality that some people won't change out of their ways and that there are those relationships beyond repair).
On a quick side note: Gotta love the parenthood storyline with Hen and Denny. And the detail of her picking up baseball with Eddie when Denny started with it. Oh, I love her. I'll be interested to see how all of that plays out. I just feel like more trouble's ahead.
But. Back to Lightning McQueen I mean Evan (won't ever get over Oliver's facial journey there) I mean Buck and the parenthood issue. Like, I do believe that if we get an alternate scenario (that may very well answer the question what life would be like for him if he had indeed been the miracle baby to save Daniel), Buck will be brought to the realization that the big picture is already in place. With Eddie and Christopher and the 118 and Maddie.
Like, I can very well see them giving him "everything" of the things he told Lev were still on the horizon for him. Only to be dissatisfied, or desperately trying to get back to his reality. Because this is where he belongs. Those are the people he belongs with. And he doesn't need to hold on to a "dream" of being more than the donor in Connor's and Kameron's life to find fulfillment as a person, as a father. Because he's that to Christopher already, a co-parent. And I do believe they might hit that point home for him at long last. And it'd be epic.
In a Flash
I guess I don't have much to add. Everyone's basically expressed my views on it already. The tragic beauty of the red string connecting Buck and Eddie, both getting hit by the same bolt of lightning. Eddie crying out for Buck. Eddie coming to Buck's rescue, his own safety be damned. The Pieta-esque shot when Buck's being lowered to the ground. Eddie doing the whole "move, I'm gay" to get to Buck. Time standing still, only to jump forward after it all happened. The ending of the helmet on the ground... *chef's kiss*
You already are a family
That one struck me a bit. Because Eddie noting that to Buck is great foreshadowing, for one thing. But it might also prove to be the narrative reversal I'd so desperately crave. That Eddie says to Buck "We're already a family." That Buck is part of his family. And that Buck comes to the realization that he is already part of that family and doesn't need to be part of a dream family (his own that never was), or the one Kameron and Connor are building. That he wraps up his inventory and knows that what he wants is what he got - if only he gets to fully embrace his role as father figure to Christopher and certified DILF for Eddie.
Buck and Eddie (duh)
Did you think I'd end this post without obsessing a bit longer about Buddie specifically??? Yeah, no. I'm still not over all the angsty goodness we were given. I'm still at the edge of my seat over what's going on with Eddie (and Christopher) next episode. Will Eddie revert to his old ways and try to be stoic about it to keep face in front of Christopher? Will he break down in the face of the danger of losing yet another partner? Will he pull a Buck and get back into dating to cover up his feelings? Will Eddie's voice bring Buck back? Will it be Christopher's? Will Eddie take Buck's hand and beg him to stay with him? I don't know. All of it would be so epic. And I still can't wrap my head around all of those wonderfully awful options.
Like, there's great potential for Buck to reach some epiphanies, but they are just as well in store for Eddie here. Not only will he be confronted with the reality that he may have to raise Christopher without Buck's presence. But he will also have to reflect hard on why he made the choice to name that man Christopher's legal guardian. Because he could've died up on that ladder all the same, and then Christopher would've been "alone". Like, Eddie will have to think hard about that one. And he'll have to think even harder about why Buck is that person for him. What it means to him personally that he gave Buck that role in not just Christopher's but also in his life.
Plus, we may finally, finally, finally get them to talk about their shared traumas of either having witnessed the other nearly die... or nearly dying. Like, this is a gun that's been hanging on the wall for quite some time now. Time to fire it, right? *pew pew* Because they got very comfortable letting their talks run through the Christopher filter. They do things in Christopher's best interest. But what they still have to do is to talk honestly to each other about this. And that may open the door to something else. And that something else is very, very gay.
So yeah. I'm... not really coherent at this point. This episode was too much. And i may have to sit on that a while longer. Until then: Happy return of the weewoos and the ouchies, peeps!
Cheers!

What does Haruka spend her time doing while Iroh is with zuko searching for the avatar?
What kind of skills does she develop outside of her bending and entertaining?
How does she primarily travel around?
What happens once her child is born?
AHHHH Thank you!! ;A;
Haruka gives art and music lessons to girls in Fire Nation colonies (which means I'll probably be giving her a Fire Nation outfit soon XD), and her talent has been noticed by many nobles (She gave some shamisen lessons to Mai at her parents' behest, but almost threw a fit at the girl's complete disinterest. She can't really blame Mai if she didn't want to do it but it was still super frustrating to be caught in the middle). Haruka often teaches at nearby schools and orphanage; she runs her classes independently but does have several wealthy donors in exchange for entertainment during important business affairs.
Haruka actually becomes a pretty decent cook after moving away from her parents! She really doesn't own a huge place or have a lot of staff, so she starts cooking for herself and she eventually becomes really good! Probably not on the same level as Fat just yet, but she's getting there! She's also really good at darts XD
She gets around with her Komodo Rhino, Saffron! She saved her as a pup when she failed the tests to become a military steed and was going to be sold to slaughter when Haruka stepped in and paid in full for her. She took her home, had a stable built, and became a proud Komodo Rhino mama. She used her to find Zuko and Iroh while they were on the run; and thankfully Saffron is smart and Haruka set her loose to 'go home', and after the war Haruka finds her in her stable, having been taken care of by her students. (Saffron is then adopted by Zuko, because Haruka knows that bringing a Komodo Rhino into Ba Sing Se after the war is kind of yikes; it's enough she and Iroh are there running a business)
Haruka gets a little overwhelmed at first as a mom, but Iroh does a lot to step in and take some burden off of her shoulders. Haruka is a woman who has to be doing something, but Iroh is a man very happy to be a father again, so he's a-ok lounging and bonding with Rioko while Haruka moves around and sings to herself and plays some tunes for the baby with her shamisen or erhu. Haruka deals with some postpartum what with EVERYTHING that happened leading up to her daughter's birth, but Iroh urges her to keep playing music and singing and they dance together holding Rioko and that's around the time Haruka definitely becomes emotionally involved with The Jasmine Dragon. She and Iroh work together very well, and they like seeing each other happy. She loves seeing him serve tea and find a community and show off Rioko; and he loves watching her entertain and get enveloped by her performances. The first time Rioko smiles at Haruka she's a mess; Haruka hasn't seen her parents since running away after Iroh deserted the siege, and she wants to be a good mom; she loves leaving an imprint with her art, so she hopes she can do something similar as a mom and be a good guide for her daughter.

Wow, it has been a while since I died on Tumblr, but hey! Nice to see your blog is still up!
Tho, I got a question, ya, ever since BATDR came out and we found out Joey created Audrey as his daughter, does that change Magenta's backstory? Or no, just a wee bit confused
no lol it doesnt
magenta's story is based mainly on batim, i also borrowed stuff here and there from dctl but aside from that it doesn't really include anything else
considering i came up with like 90% of his story a short bit after chapter 5 of batim came out :P
i just don't really understand audrey's existence and it feels very... weird to me
like joey being a bad person made bendy the ink demon and supposedly him being better made audrey okay? or is she just perfect like that even though she's an entirely made up person that never existed in real life either as a human like henry or as a toon
like idk i dont like either scenarios
and as for magenta specifically creating audrey would just not fit him, he already has a meaningful story with bendy as his son and what kind of a shit father he is
if i was supposed to make him create a perfect child because of how he learned to be a good father while still having bendy (the squish there) done so dirty thatd be literally sooooooooo shit
(also idk man maybe you should consider adopting a child instead of creating her as a part of a cycle of eternal suffering, god look i wouldnt mind that if they werent trying to tell us that joey doing this is somehow his redemption arc and a good thing, yikes)
so yeah no dont expect audrey to be a part of abomination, ever
im done telling that story and im not gonna be incorporating any new content that the bendy devs put out because its just not fitting in there [thumbs up emoji]
the only thing i have left to still draw is the epilogue which ive already written few years ago, arts just been super hard for me lately, but im gonna make it eventually
also im not gonna be leaving anywhere anytime soon, even if i leave the bendy fandom at some point (tho i dont see that happening super soon) im gonna be there blabbering on about some other thing :)

Not to add to the debate, but well sorry I kind of am. But on your points about the donor storyline, my thing is yes, like they are unsympathetic as people asking for this. Not because they are straight, but because their logic is weird. They obviously have the money, and they don't really know Buck, (the whole nature vs. nurture thing). Would Buck be this Buck if there was no Daniel? He was the chosen one and raised as such without Maddie falling into her role? Plus, they act like vultures about the whole thing. The whole aspect of it is wrong. I would have preferred if it was even an old girl, Buck dated, who now has a wife. At least we could get bi hints.
But also it sort of runs against future storyline I would love for Buddie when they go Canon. I mean we all realize it is harder and will be more expensive when it is 2 gay men, that is just a fact. Of course I love the idea of them adopting but also I would kill for any scenario that involves, Maddies egg/Eddie's sperm, Bucks sperm/Eddie's sisters egg and someone carrying it. There are just all sorts of amazing possibilities we could get that tell the real story of gay men who want to be fathers and the financial cost but also the insecurities about being chosen if you try adopting.
Sorry for the ramble but I guess I was just stating for myself it is a watered down generic story that one day I pictured for real for Buddie.
Also, weirdly though, fun fact. I grew up in San Diego. Like 8 years ago, my best friend found out her dad fathered a kid no one knew about. But the weird thing was that when we were in high school, he worked at the stables we used to ride at. Like, we actually met him as just a guy!! I'm like, dude, you could have dated your brother lol!!! That's all I keep seeing is Bucks' future child meeting his bio child and kissing🤣😂🤣
Hi Nonnie, thank you for this ask!
Oh, you know what? Whether in the context of the sperm donor storyline or otherwise, I would actually REALLY love for an ex gf of Buck's to return and turn out to be married to a woman. It could be one of those potential storylines for Buck listening to her and maybe realizing a few things about himself and Eddie. ;)
I hear everything you say! I honestly don't mind which way Buddie would go about it, I just want the story shown of how a same sex gay couple goes about deciding on and fighting for their right to be parents. It's STILL not a given right in way too many places, and where it is, it requires SO MUCH, it's a story deserving of being told. And considering how much drama is involved in it, how many emotions, how much it can test a couple, but also bring them together and showing them fighting as one for a common goal, it actually does NOT makes sense to me that it's so underrepresented in media. Which makes me suspect that's due to a great degree to ignorance. And shouldn't we strive for queer rep to tear it down?
I think your penultimate paragraph summarizes perfectly a big part of how I feel about this storyline. Thank you for that!
(also, yikes about your friend's dad! That could not have been easy in any way whatsoever...)
Have a great day, lovely! As always, here's my ask tag! xoxox

Chapter 4
Tumblr media
hi, chat!
The chapter image kind of snuck up on me and I didn't snag a picture in time, so I took a screenshot of a playthrough and edited it 😬
This post is going to be much shorter than the last, hallelujah!
Tumblr media
Hey, Mewtwo! What's up... Youtwo?
Yeah idk
Tumblr media
Okay so based on past observations, it seems that dialogue text refers to him as "Lumineontwo" but not his name tag. I still have no idea why this would be the case. Any thoughts?
Tumblr media
You know, I just realized... The fact that Magby - a baby Pokémon incapable of breeding - is the father to a grown-up Clefable brings up... waaaay too many uncomfortable questions. Unless Clefable is adopted? But even then... Yeah, I got nothing.
Tumblr media
HE ANGY!! >:l
My god, I could have not picked a better replacement for Loudred 😂
Tumblr media
Just throwing this in here to show that the randomizer doesn't even touch the sentry minigame. Which, like with the art, I totally get. That would get way too messy.
Back in the day, I used to be able to identify most footprints before the timer lost any bars. I've grown a little rusty since then; I lost my two strikes this time.
Tumblr media
But I still did a "perfect" job, so we got the usual rewards from Tropius: a Joy Seed, a Ginseng, and a Life Seed. That surprised me a little, as I expected the items to be randomized.
Tumblr media
The next day, I noticed the Outlaw Board is still unavailable. I guess maybe those jobs are too difficult to randomize? I'm fine with that since trying to do five jobs in Everlasting Bolt-hole was... yikes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The recycling shop in the soon-to-be Spinda Rotom cafe will be run by Aerodactyl and Crawdaunt! That's... something!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m still begging someone to make art of this. Seriously, I will pay you. Like $5. (I’m thinking of a sketch.) DM me on my main if you’re interested.
While prepping for the day, we ran into Team AWD! Or as I like to call them, Team Tropical:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
*gasps* Tropius leads a double life?! How scandalous!!
Thankfully, the stretched sssss makes it obvious who’s who. Also Lanturn’s icon is so cute what the heck.
I remembered picking up a Seed Flare TM a while back and seeing that Teresa can learn it. It only has 5 PP but it’s pretty strong and does damage all around the user. So, goodbye, Switcheroo!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the TM didn’t break either! Another mod added to the randomizer, I presume. It was a pleasant surprise nonetheless!
Remember that weird Crucial Estate dungeon that popped up out of the blue? Well, I decided to go in and check it out. Intuition told me to check the mission objectives and see if I could garner any insight.
Tumblr media
Ohhhhhhh... that makes sense.
The enemies were pretty strong- they easily had over 80 HP. I gave it a few attempts but it was basically a coin flip whether I survived the first floor or not. A challenge for another day, I suppose.
Tumblr media
Bonus: Turns out Run Away is useful for something after all!
Tumblr media
After one of my resets, I noticed the bedroom changed from Whimsical Furnace...? I have no idea why 🤷‍♀️
I don’t have much to share about the jobs that took me several tries to do but I did have one moment that nearly gave me a heart attack:
Tumblr media
See that explosion trap in the upper left? See how it’s placed right next to the Kecleon Shop?
Yeah so I stepped on the trap, blew up two of his items, and started panicking because I assumed Kecleon would call me a thief (consumption without payment, after all) and start beating us up. I tentatively took us down that corridor and... nothing. What you can’t see in that image is my face of utter relief 😅
Oh and Andrea learned Smokescreen! It was a tough choice, but I ditched Mirror Move since it hasn’t been super useful thus far. The Whiffer status is SUPER OP though, so I have a feeling it’ll save our butts in the future.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading 😊 I heard you ordered the Chapter 5: (Insert nonsensical title here) post, so that’s coming right up! (Might take me a bit though.)
