Love the ending (and ONLY the ending) of Dark Phoenix bc it means Charles and Erik don't just get to be old together, they get to grow old together

They get to watch the lines and the wrinkles form on each other's faces; they get to see all of the events that shape those lines, like the way Charles gets a permanent crinkle between his eyebrows from sighing at the prankster students and the way Erik learns to smile so often that he gets proper crow's feet

Charles gets to see Erik's hair go grey, and then white, and he gets to run his fingers through that white hair even when his hands are gnarled and veiny and shake a little bit

They get to play thousands of games of chess together, day in and day out, night after night, until they have difficulty remembering all the rules and they're not as good at planning strategy as they used to be

All of the mutants they help, they get to watch grow up together; they get to see those mutants get married and have children and then they get to see those children grow up as well and neither of them ever has to feel alone again because in finding each other, Erik and Charles started a community that provides them both with more family than they ever imagined having

And eventually they get to die together, within days or weeks of each other, and be buried side by side after having lived the best years of their lives that same way

The Painter

Their muse - a model in the past? A nude one at that? They can't say they aren't jealous others have bared witness to their beauty, but they won't be so upset about it if their dearest is willing to come out of retirement and maybe send their older photos up to their study. They promise not to stare too much, but they pray their muse doesn't mind if their eyes linger. It's rare for them to be in the presence of such raw perfection. They are more of a hands on type of painter so their muse wouldn't mind a few touches, no? As they would say, it’s all just apart of the process.

Rosebud

Of course they are interested, but they won't press the matter unless Reader offers to share.... Please ignore the excitement of their roses - though they do reflect Rosebud's inner feelings they assure Reader it's just past their feeding time. Clearly more flustered than they let on. Refuses to look at the images because they would only make them more tempted to leave bites all over Reader to claim them as their own as they are when they see the Guard's exposed neck or wrists or pretty much any uncovered inch of skin.

The Scavenger

Hope staff gives the printer in the breakroom a nice funeral because if Scavenger gets its hands on those portfolio shots it's the end of the line for that poor machine. Anything relating to their precious treasure is the pinnacle of their collection. They must have more - even if it's the same picture a thousand times it's still not enough. If anyone comes across one of their copies it's best theu leave them their because even if they're trying to return them Scavenger will accuse them of stealing. There's not doubt I my mind they've eaten a copy or two because they're weird like that.

The Faceless Angel

Conflicted. On one hand they are interested in seeing their guard in all forms, but on the other it feels like an invasion of privacy. Unlike some, their intrigue comes from an artistic viewpoint rather than sexual. They'd give anything for the opportunity to touch Reader's warm flesh without clothing in the way. It feels like heaven on their stone skin.

The Lady in Red

It's the less images she's interested in and more the people who have seen them. Swiftly cuts down anyone who views Reader's pictures while in the gallery be they human or fellow exhibit. She can't do anything about the past, but does everything in the present to keep too many eyes off her love. Takes the photos Scavenger loses and while she keeps a few on hand - she burns the rest.

Julian

Slimy fuck is probably the first to come across them being the noisy little stalker he is. As an artist in his free time, he does use them for reference, but it's much more fun to use them for other things. Like teasing Reader about their past or taping copies to the breakroom fidge. He only does it when he knows they're the only two on shift because he'll have to hurt anyone who sees them nakee besides him. Like Lady, he's more likely to attack paintings who have gotten a hold of the scavengers copies.

Anri

Their favorite coworker was once a model? How fun! They aren't the best artist, but they can draw Reader too. A little bashful about seeing them naked so they stick to just about the shoulders. They want to at least waiting until their ten date with Reader before seeing them in such a state. Covers their eyes and runs off whenever someone tries to show them. Julian only allows Anri to see the photos because it's fun to chase them through the halls with them or point out various aspects of their features to make Anri flustered

The Director

Dislikes imagine of Reader because while they can be used to create copies of them, The Director wants the real thing. Still has one of Scavenger's photos tucked in his coat pocket.

The way you entered the life of the Targaryen family was very unconventional, but for them, it was the work of the Seven. You were brought at a young age into the arms of Queen Aemma, King Visesrys I and Princess Rhaenyra, only a year older than you. Your origin is unknown to all who are not part of the family. Some say you were the child of peasants who lived in the Vale and on a trip there, Viserys and Aemma met you and were enchanted by you, as did Rhaenyra and decided to take you with them, others say that Daemon killed your parents and when he was about to to kill you too, he was ''bewitched'' and decided to take you with him to King's Landing where the King and the Queen took you as their child, but it's not really important anymore because now you're with them and they don't mean you let go.

Aemma became especially attached to you as you grew older, she really came to love you like her own child and the way she always tries to keep by her side as long as possible made that very clear. The Queen just wants you happy and well, she sees you as her ''precious baby'' and she can't let anyone ruin that. Aemma goes to great lengths to see you smile, she gives you everything you need and more. She is a devoted mother and very attached to her children, Rhaenyra and you, but in a way, she is even more to you. You, like her, are very attached to the Queen as well, as she is what you know as a '’mother’' and anyone who tries to deny that you are not really her and the king's child will lose their tongue. It doesn't matter if you are completely different from them, if you have dark hair, dark eyes and dark skin, you are their child and no one can say otherwise. Those who dared to do so lost their tongues.

Viserys also spends as much time with you as possible, for as King he doesn't have as much free time, but what he does have, it's all spent with you. Viserys tries to be as rational as possible in this family dynamic that has developed around you, but he can't deny the situation they've gotten themselves into by stealing someone's child. He knows it's wrong and he feels guilty about it, but hearing you call him "daddy" makes those thoughts disappear in an instant. He's a good father actually, always taking care of you, pampering you and protecting you as much as he can from the evils of the world which made you an extremely naive person, but Viserys won't say he doesn't like that innocent side of you, because he does. It just forces him to think that you must be protected forever, that you will never stop being your daddy's little girl/boy. That you will always need him to protect you and ward off the monsters of your nightmare.

Rhaenyra is your older sister, protective and possessive of your attention. She, from her family, is one of the most possessive with you, she feels entitled to have you because you are sibilings and, therefore, she is the one who should have you whenever she wants and she always wants you with her. The Princess is the one who you are closest to in the family, only after Aemma, as she is always by your side even if you are with your parents she will still be around. She claims it's because she's taking care of you like a big sister would, but in reality it's because she doesn't want you to spend time with other people, even if those people are her parents. She loves to take you flying with Syrax and read to you, her favorite moments spent together are when you are hugging her tightly as you fly your dragon. Rhaenyra's possessiveness is often overwhelming as you will never truly be alone, she insisted on sharing a room with you and she is very insistent. She is suffocating, your alone moments will never really be alone as the princess will always be lurking around, watching over you like a good sister.

Daemon is, without a doubt, the worst of the Targaryens. At first, he didn't really like the idea of ​​having you in his family, as you weren't one of them, not by blood at least. You, in his eyes, were nothing more than a stranger your brother clung to, but he would make him see the truth, after all, you didn't even possess valyrian traits so how dare you be called Targaryen? But to everyone's surprise and himself, Daemon also became so obsessed with you as soon as he laid eyes on you. Aemma and Viserys were worried at first about Daemon as they knew what he was like but they were relieved a little bit to see that he got along with you, in fact, more than well. He didn't see Viserys capable of raising you, as his brother is weak in his vision and he was too protective of you, but Daemon wants you to be able to fight for yourself and he'll be more than happy to teach you how. He spends all the time that is available to him with you (and the time that is not his) talking about the future with you, about how he will be King and that you will stand by his side. Daemon's unpredictable and volatile nature should not be ignored as he is more than capable of taking you away with him and he will if the opportunity arises.

Family is what you all are and what you will be forever and ever. They're all obsessed with you to different degrees, but if there's one thing they all agree on, it's: protecting and loving you above everything and everyone else. Aemma and Viserys are the ones most aware of what you're being forced to deal with, at a such young age, and they know the delicate situation and what they did in taking you away from your original family, they know all of that, but they selfishness and the love they feel so much for their precious child speaks much louder. Rhaenyra has grown up to believe that you are indeed her sister/brother, she doesn't care if you don't look alike, you are sibilings and that's final, she loves you and is always by your side, you have become everything and the one person that she trust and she will be cursed if she lets you go. Daemon doesn't care about any of that, he just wants you with him and will be offended and furious if anyone questions his intentions with you. How dare they? You are his niece/nephew and he loves you like a father and only wants the best for you, and the best for you is to staty with him, he very often quarreling with Viserys over this. Daemon has no morals and would kill many, but he would never lift a finger at you. Never.

However, after Aemma's death, the situation became unbalanced and everything became even more fragile. You were in tears and Rhaenyra and Viserys looked to you for comfort, all three of you suffered the same: the loss of the woman you loved so much. Rhaenyra would cry in your arms and Viserys would often just hold you without saying anything, just letting the tears fall onto your shoulders. Both were coming after you for comfort, but you went to Daemon for that, as he was the only one who wasn't shaken by the Queen's death. To say that Daemon was happy to have you all to himself isn't enough to express what he felt, happiness and triumph perhaps? Triumph because you chose him over Rhaenyra and Viserys to be consoled, you chose him and that only adds to his illusion that you only trust and love him. Only him and Daemon will always keep that in his head.

When Viserys remarried and to Rhaenyra's friend, she didn't react well to this situation. Not only did she feel betrayed by her father and friend, she felt threatened, threatened with the promise of a male heir and being replaced. Rhaenyra implored you to keep as far away from Alicent and any children she might have as possible, for she couldn't handle the fear of losing you, especially after she saw that the new Queen seemed interested in you. Sure, you and Alicent have seen each other a few times, but Rhaenyra has always tried her best to keep you away from her friend because you are hers alone and after her betrayal, she couldn't imagine you leaving her for Alicent Hightower. No, she will not allow that to happen. Although Alicent has more ways to reach you, as the Queen, everyone knows that Viserys is very supportive of Rhaenyra and he will do what she asks. Rhaenyra knows you are safe from Alicent, but who knows for how long?

Daemon was exiled again and he hoped he could take you with him, but Viserys wouldn't allow it. He knew he could try to force you to go with him, after all, he had Caraxes, but after seeing that you didn't want to go, he ended up forgetting about it. For a while. Although he was busy fighting at the Stepstones, you never got out of his head, to the point of being a distraction, even after taking an arrow, you were all the prince could think about. Would you be safe? Do you miss him? Daemon is a danger to himself and having you in his head all the time just makes the situation worse. But on the one hand, you are his biggest motivation to live and win, he wants to see the pride on his face when he comes back victorious and feel your warm embrace that he so missed.

The Targaryen family dynamic never changed over the years and the affection for you only grew stronger and stronger, to the point where you became the only one capable of holding this family together. Viserys spent the most time with you over the years, you became the center of his attention as he grew older, the influence you have on the King is superior to any. Rhaenyra even after getting married and having children, was still stuck to your side, nothing will be able to separate the two of you and your support of her is what keeps her strong, her children would eventually develop their yandere tendencies for you like their mother. Although Daemon spent time in Essos with Laena and his daughters, he still sent letters daily and when he could, he would pay you a visit. Not even time will be able to take you away from them. From their obsession.

Jacaerys is extremely overprotective of you. He doesn't care if you're older and even better than he is at fighting, he still feels the need to protect you as you are part of his family and Jace is very protective of his family but even more so of you. The prince developed his obsession for you since he was a child, you have always been by his side and his mother, helping to take care of him and protect him and he is immensely grateful for that. Besides, you're like him, both different from the rest of your family physically, you didn't have valyrian traits but you were both Targaryen and that's all that matters at the end. He is very intelligent and somewhat manipulative and he won't mind having to manipulate you to get your attention and approval. Jace wants to impress you, he wants you to feel nothing but pride in him and when you praise him he melts. He just loves you so much, like the rest of his family.

Lucerys, of his brothers, is the most attached to you. He is possessive of your attention and will complain if anyone else has it, as he considers himself the most deserving of it. Luke is an intelligent and adorable boy by nature. He doesn't quite understand these twisted feelings he and his family feel for you, but he knows that you are precious and should be protected and adored, as his mother told him so. Lucerys is always seen around you, often holding your hand as he snuggles up to you, demonstrating to everyone that you belong to him, that you belong to them.

Joffrey, Aegon III and Viserys II for them being very young, they don't understand what's going on, they don't understand why their family is so involved with you, why they are so protective and obsessive about you. None of them understand what's going on, except what their parents tell them: you are their one priority. As the youngest in the family, they are, along with Lucerys, the most demanding of his attention. Little princes invite you to play and be a part of their pranks, as they know they amuse you. They're naive, the only thing they understand is how much they love you like the rest of the Targaryens did and there's nothing wrong with loving, right?

Rhaena and Baela didn't spend much time with you, having grown up in Essos, they lived most of the time with their mother and father, but things changed after Laena's death. You all met at her funeral, and you went to try to comfort the princesses. Baela and Rhaena had already heard of you, as Daemon always mentioned you when the opportunity arose, so they knew almost everything about your life and the love Daemon had for you, they just didn't expect to be obsessed with you either. They are quite calm in their obsession with you in reality, and they accept as long as you can spend time with them in an acceptable and dignified way, you will never see them complaining about not being able to spend enough time with you. But make no mistake, Rhaena and Baela are possessive like their father and they won't tolerate being left out by anyone.

The Targaryens are said to be closer to the gods than to men, but to them, you are the goddess/god they so adore and are madly obsessed with. You have so much power over them that people say they are your tamed dragons. This family is full of problems and disputes, but they will all be united when it comes to you. Unfortunately, the entire responsibility of a kingdom has fallen on your shoulders and your family's overwhelming possessiveness only makes the burden more unbearable to bear. Be wise in your future choices, (Y/N), for one wrong step could start a war, a war for you.

So uh... Lesson 18 huh??

I'd just like to say that the juxtaposition of Lesson 18 being all sad and serious with the new event being all ridiculous was both weird and kinda nice? Like I needed that event to cheer me up after Lesson 18 almost made me cry.

Anyway, let's talk about it! Lesson 18 spoilers below!

Okay. I've seen some speculation that perhaps Lesson 20 won't be the end of season one. However, I don't think that's going to happen.

I think they're gonna pull some time travel shenanigans on us again. Or Nightbringer is gonna show up and deus ex machina this mess. Or the solution to everything is for MC to just make a pact with all seven brothers at the same time. Solomon did say that he thought they could do that in a past lesson. And if they do it all at once, it wouldn't take that long? Hmmm.

Anyway, I could speculate all day, but there were some really interesting things that happened in this lesson that I'd rather talk about.

First of all, Diavolo pulling out the Prince Voice on Raphael had me going OHHHHH lol.

I honestly love Diavolo's different sides. It makes him feel so real, you know?

SPOILERS FOR HARD LESSON 18 (just skip this paragraph in case you haven't gotten to it yet!)

And I feel like that really is even more evident in the hard lesson where he talks to Barbatos about the difference between his head and his heart. And how all he really wants is for the brothers to be happy. Which was so dang sweet. And Barbatos just gives him that whole speech about what a great king he's gonna be. I was like I can't with these two.

HARD LESSON SPOILERS OVER

Anyway, the fact that Diavolo can just step into this Prince persona and be a leader when he needs to, but then he's just a silly guy when he's not needing to do that is very realistic to me. A lot of people have different versions of themselves that they only show at certain times or to certain people. Gives his character a lot of dimension, in my opinion!

And oh... can we talk about Mammon?

My precious baby. I wanted to hug him so bad. I wanted him to continue to chew out Raphael. I mean, I know Raph is kinda just the messenger here, but I felt like Mammon was actually saying what everyone was feeling, but was too restrained to say. For some reason, everyone was just kind of letting Diavolo take the lead (and I guess that makes sense, he is the Prince after all and Raphael is basically saying they'll go to war over this). But Mammon was like oh hell no.

I agreed with him entirely. The Celestial Realm can go fuck off. I was NOT expecting this to be about the fact that the brothers have power in the Devildom now. Like are you kidding me? THAT is your big concern? Should've thought about that before you threw them out, GOD.

And when Raphael was like are you questioning Father's word to Lucifer and Luci just kinda got sad looking, I was like YES QUESTION HIM because Lucifer and his brothers deserve better than this bullshit.

It really feels like the Celestial Realm booted them out because the bros did something they didn't like, but now they've realized they made a mistake. So to get them back, they're gonna go down to the Devildom and threaten them.

Are they trying to get us to hate the Celestial Realm? Is that the goal here? I don't, obviously, but I think this was a pretty shitty move considering all that these guys have been through.

BUT THEN THE BROTHERS COMIN THROUGH WITH THE WE WON'T LEAVE SATAN

when I tell you I was crying... it was Belphie's fault.

Pretty sure this was the line that made me tear up, but then we get the same sentiment from Beel and Asmo about not leaving Satan behind and I was just like that was MY HEART you guys just shattered.

Now let's talk about Solomon and Barbatos in 18-A, shall we?

I don't know what Solomon did, but I do find this exchange incredibly interesting. Note that Solomon is wearing his human world outfit here. I kind of think human-world-outfit-wearing-Solomon is the imposter. He's the one who talked about the pact with Asmo first, where it didn't fit with his later version of the story. He was also the one who pushed all the brothers into Asmo's tub and therefore also the one who then made a pact with Asmo. He was also the one who commanded Barb to make a portal when he didn't want to and who had the discussion with Nightbringer.

I'm just sayin... maybe he doesn't know why Barb is mad at him 'cause we got more than one Solomon running around...

Buuut I could be completely off base here. We'll see, I guess!

This could all be resolved by the end of Lesson 20, you never know with this game lol.

X-Men 97 episode 5 *SPOILERS*

The interviews

The reporter seemed nice and doesn't act like a typical controversial one. And, seeing Beast blush was adorable. But, Scott's interview was a doozy. What he said when he lashed out, well....he ain't wrong. I just thought Magneto would be the one to say those things, not Scott. Still, not wrong.

Jean/Scott/Madelyn/Logan drama

UGH! I hate love triangles that bring out so much stress and drama. And, I'm worried that Jean and Scott will break up because of the crap Mr. Sinister pulled. I wasn't expecting Jean to kiss Logan, and it was HIM who told her to go talk to Scott. Despite his feelings, he's still trying to be respectful to their relationship. But, seriously, Jean, why did you kiss him?!

Then apparently, Scott and Madelyn were checking up on each other telepathically, which I get why Jean would be mad at that. But, Madelyn during her time at the mansion WAS Jean and Scott thought that was her! They're the same! At least they were? Then again, they're in contact for a month and Jean kissed Logan once....UGH! I hate this drama. SINISTER THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!

Genosha

Beautiful. It was a paradise for mutants. They deserve this. The gala looked pretty, I liked the statues of Charles and Magneto, I was not expecting the Hellfire Club to be a part of this council cause I don't trust them (especially the crap they pulled in the previous show). Lots of cameos from other characters that I couldn't keep track on, but the place was lovely. It's a shame though on what happened later on....

Nightcrawler

This lovely, precious German Christian man. 🥰 I love Nightcrawler and I'm glad to see him in this show. The original voice actor who played him in the previous show still does a great job voicing him. And, he approves of Gambit and Rogue (adopted sister) being together, so that's extra bonus points. He got a new look compared to his previous one, but I still like it. Then when the massacre happened, I was so worried that he was gonna die. Thank goodness he survived, but I hate seeing him so hurt.

Gambit/Rogue/Magneto drama

I hate this love triangle SO MUCH! We get an explanation on how Rogue and Magneto got together, and I'm questioning how old she was when they first met and whether Magneto was influencing her in a bad way. Either way, still don't like this ship. Even when them dancing looked good animated, I STILL don't like it. Plus, it still doesn't make sense cause they've been against each other in the previous show, where there was no signs of the two having that past relationship.

Anyway, I'm glad Rogue finally told Gambit the truth, and I feel so bad for him. But, he knew what she wanted and how much it hurt, even going as far as to distance himself, which he showed a lot of emotional maturity, so respect to that. But, that thing where he'll lead Genosha if Rogue stays as his "queen"? DA FUQ?! Look, I like Magneto, but I did not like that. Still wish Rogue could've gotten one of those collars to nullify her powers so that she can touch Gambit. Would've solved a lot of drama, just saying.

I was SO relieved though, that Rogue said that he was right, and rejected Magneto, but I wish she could've done that without kissing him right where Gambit can see it. Either way, it seemed like she'll choose Gambit and not stay with Magneto in Genosha, THANK GOD!

So, you think this would be the end of that love triangle right? Well, yes and no? Cause what happened afterwards hurt like hell.

Genosha Massacre

So, a giant Master Mold thing showed up, killing mutants and destroying Genosha. It was cool seeing Cable again trying to stop it and seeing his mom after so long, which is a glimmer of hope but I'll get to that later. So, many people died. Sebastian Shaw, Calypso, Banshee, Marrow, pretty sure that was Dazzler or Moira not sure, and three more that hurt me so much.

Magneto. Okay, I may not like that love triangle, but I didn't hate the guy. Dude was fighting that Sentinel with a train as a whip, that was pretty cool. And, he tried to protect the Molocks. He tried to protect Leech! He got Rogue and Gambit out of the way. What hurt the most was he told Leech not to be afraid IN GERMAN! Again, didn't want him to die. Although, I wished he could've used his magnetism to push the Molocks away like he did with Rogue and Gambit, but nope. They all died!

Leech. Precious innocent Leech. He was just a kid, man! And, he got to hang out with other mutants his age. He was making friends. Only for this to happen. And, not a lot of people talk about Leech and what happened to him. But, I liked him, and that hurt.

And, finally, the one that hurt the most.....Gambit.....Remy.

He went out like a hero. He sacrificed himself to destroy that Sentinel from killing even more mutants. "The name's Gambit, mon ami. Remember it." Well, now we know why this episode is called Remember It, cause it was Gambit's last words. And, if that wasn't enough, Rogue holding onto him, crying over his body, finally able to touch him....only to not feel him.

THAT. FREAKING. HURT. SO. BAD!!! 😭 Gambit was one of my favorite X-Men characters, and I legit was crying seeing that end. It really hurt to see that happen to him, but at least he went out saving people. However! There is that slight glimmer of hope! Cable. He tried to go back to stop this, who's to say he won't try again? Time travel shenanigans will happen and he can team up with Bishop and the rest of the X-Men to prevent this from happening. It happened many times before, it can happen here. And, maybe, just maybe, Gambit, Leech, Magneto, and all those people won't have to die. This may the denial talking, but I'll be so pissed if Gambit's dead and he Rogue won't be together for good anymore, cause that would be bullcrap.

God, how am I gonna be okay when we're getting Storm and Forge vs. The Adversary next week?! And, jeez, if things keep up like this, Storm is gonna return to the whole mansion on fire. I can't imagine what her and everyone's reactions are gonna be when they find out about Gambit and even Magneto.

Anyway, good episode. Much better than last week's. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go find a way to cope from all of that.

Dragons Rising Season 2 Pt1 overall thoughts!

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS DO NOT CLICK UNLESS YOU'VE WATCHED THE WHOLE THING

In no particular order:

Wow, this season was the heaviest one yet. I'd been a bit disappointed by how Season 1 seemed a bit light on the life lessons that I found so compelling in Ninjago. Well, DR2 delivered in spades, from the theme of secrets, to the issues of mental health. Never should've doubted Ninjago writers!

What really is that glowing orb sprite thingy? Because it showed up in the Monastary of Spinjitzu to close the portal gate, right? How was it doing that before they'd even traveled to Mysterium? Have I misunderstood something? (Granted, I had to do chores here and there so I really might've missed something... need a rewatch)

Where did Cinder even come from? How did Ras recruit him? What's his story?

What really is Arin's object spinjitzu power?

Of course I'm sure all of this will be resolved/revealed eventually, but it seems a lot to conclude in the next 10 episodes. Oh wait, they've said they have enough material for a few more seasons right? Well, sure looks like enough for at least a third season.

I think the ones who are gonna have a falling out are Arin and Sora. It's gonna be revealed, maybe at some critical point, that he didn't actually do object spinjitzu to get them the win, and it's gonna destroy his self confidence as well as his trust in Sora.

They're gonna get all of the Forbidden Five out eventually, possibly by shoving more ninja through the gate. Which is fine, because the ninja will just meet up and come back through the Power of Friendship!

SO CURIOUS to find out what the elemental powers of the Forbidden Five are.

I was a little disappointed by the lack of Euphrasia though. I thought for sure she'd have a more major role this season, but she still remained a side character for most of it. Oh well, patience!

BONZLE. I did NOT expect her story to go this way. Still trying to wrap my brain around a sentient spell, but hey. It's Ninjago.

COLE. He's still protecting and trying to comfort everyone. What an amazing fight he put on at the monastary, almost a one-man army against the Adminstration's mechs, with Gandalaria's support. I bet his failure to protect Zane would have devastated him if Zane had been deactivated permanently. Fortunately Gandalaria knows more about nindroids than she should...

GANDALARIA! Endlessly positive and chirpy and disorganised. Like a more established Fungus. Wish I could be her. Loved seeing her dynamic with Cole being her straight man (hush, yes I know.)

So happy to see Kai get his focus for a change. Love Lloyd but he gets the focus like... every season. Kai needs the love. He's really cool this season.

Nya gets the least focus :( I miss her

WHY are all the ninjas' powers only as powerful as the plot calls for it :/ Zane's frozen way more than just a runaway mech back in the day!

I still think Ras looks too cuddly to be taken seriously as an antagonist. I mean would you not hug a Ras plushie? Look at those eyes. Look at that nose.

Is Ras's master a Source Dragon or the Overlord? OR BOTH?

I haven't talked about Jay, have I? JAY. Oh how my heart skipped a beat when he showed up pointing that gun/taser at Bonzle. I literally said out loud "OH NO OH NO OH NO".

I think that was the single most terrifying part of the whole season for me. I don't even know why it was so visceral. I think I was worried that his entire peronality had changed, though I don't know why I thought that, since in Pt1 he was literally playing video games instead of working.

So I was actually relieved to hear that he felt he didn't really belong in the Administration. Pre-merge Jay probably couldn't even fill out a single form properly. He probably had Nya or Zane or Cole do all the paperwork for him.

He clearly wasn't suprised that he had control over lightning. Why did nobody know about it? He's the kinda guy who'd use his powers for entertainment if he didn't have a good reason to hide them.

He didn't recognise his own ninja outfit D:

Lastly, the Finders - I'm also a little troubled by how Cole seems to put them ahead of his ninja family, but then again. He knows the ninja are all very capable warriors who can take care of themselves. On the other hand, for who knows how long, he had felt responsible for protecting his little newfound family. It makes sense that he would continue priotising them even after finding his old family.

In conclusion, Cole is such a dad :D

Standing Up For Her–Steve Harrington

Steve's POV

"Hey, can you still come by after school and help me with that essay?"

"Of course," Y/N smiled. She reached up and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

I loved when she did that.

"I thought we were going to. . ."

"Nope," I cut Tommy off. "Y/N's helping me with homework."

Tommy glared at me and I glared back. The bell rang, ending lunch, but we didn't move.

"Umm. . . Steve?"

I finally looked over to see Y/N looking up at me with soft eyes. "We don't want to be late for science."

I grabbed her hand and sent her a nice smile. I couldn't help but glare at Tommy as Y/N pulled me away. Ever since I introduced Y/N to Carol and Tommy, they've been horribly judgmental of her. Tommy more than Carol. He refused to accept her and Carol just went along with it.

He never quite caught on to the fact that if he asked, I'd drop him for her in a minute.

"I don't understand," Y/N sighed as we sat at our two desks in the back.

"What don't you understand, beautiful?" I asked as I reached over and grabbed her hand. She looked down at our hands, intertwining them.

"Why don't they like me?" She asked, barely audible.

"Tommy and Carol," I said more like a statement than a question. "Baby, please don't be worried about their opinion of you. It doesn't matter. What matters is what I think of you, and I think you're great."

She smiled before leaning over and pressing her lips gently to mine. We pulled apart when Mr. Stevenson obnoxiously cleared his throat.

"Where's your precious girlfriend?" Tommy taunted the second I got out of my car.

"She's at home studying."

"For what?" Carol scoffed.

"The science test we have on Friday."

"You mean the test that we were just told about? The one that's four days away?" Carol rolled her eyes. "She's literally the smartest person in our class. Why the hell does she need to study? She'll ace the test and ruin the curve for the rest of us normal people."

"Carol," I cut her off, "for once in your life, shut your damn mouth."

"What's your problem, man?" Tommy scoffed.

"You're both assholes, that's my problem."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah," I scoffed. "I'm serious."

"Why do you even like to spend so much time with her?" Tommy scoffed.

"Because she's real," I said through my teeth. "I don't have to put on a facade around her."

"Do you hear yourself?" Tommy scoffed.

"Neither one of you ever cared about her," I said, my anger showing through in my voice. "You never even liked her because she's not miserable like you two! She actually cares about other people."

"She's a freak!" Carol laughed.

"Watch your damn mouth!"

"Hey!" Tommy said, pushing me. "I don't know what's gotten into you, man, but you don't talk to her that way."

"But you're allowed to talk to my girl that way?" I scoffed.

"It's Y/N," Tommy said as he rolled his eyes.

That comment deserved him a punch to the jaw. It took him a second to respond. When he did, I didn't hold back. The only thing that stopped the fight was Carol pulling us apart.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Harrington?" He yelled as he try to charge me, but Carol stopped him again. "What? Are you like in love with her or something?"

"Holy shit!" Carol laughed. "You're in love with Y/N."

"So what if I am?!" I scoffed. "Why is it so weird? I've known her since we were little. I've known her longer than I've known you."

"It's wimpy," Tommy scoffed.

"What's wimpy about a guy loving a girl?" Carol asked in a tone that would ultimately end in Tommy taking care of himself for a couple of days.

"It's just. . . I thought. . ."

"Go be with Y/N," Carol cut off Tommy without looking away from him. She finally looked at me and smiled. "And tell her what you just told us."

"Thank you," I whispered before turning on my heel and jogging to my car.

As I drove to her house, I nervously drummed my fingers on the steering wheel. Ever since Tommy made a comment about my feelings for Y/N, I have had this weird feeling. It was almost like my stomach was jumping around and it wouldn't settle down. As I pulled in front of her house, my heart was skipping so many beats I was surprised I was still alive.

I took a shaky breath, gathering my courage to get out of the car. When I finally did, I went around the house to Y/N's bedroom window. I instantly started climbing on their trash can, onto their roof, and over to Y/N's room. I knelt down and knocked on the window.

My heart jumped into my throat when Y/N moved her curtains aside. Her eyes widened. That's when I remembered my fight with Tommy.

"Steve!" She gasped as soon as she opened the window. "What happened to you?"

I couldn't help but smile as she grabbed my hand and helped me into her room. She didn't let go of me as she led me over to her bed. She sat me down and ran to her bathroom. She came back with a small first aid kit in her hand. I watched as she quickly and instantly started cleaning my cuts. As she did this, my eyes never left hers.

She finally broke the silence when she was done cleaning me up. "What happened?" She asked.

"It was nothing."

"Steve," she sighed, her voice breaking. "It doesn't look like nothing. You show up at my window, covered in bruises. It's not nothing. Please tell me what happened."

I reached up and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, my hand lingering on her face.

"I got into a fight with Tommy," I whispered.

"What?" She gasped, moving her head so my hand fell away from her.

"It's not a big deal," I said quickly. "It was just a stupid fight."

"Why?"

"What?" I stuttered.

"Why did you guys fight?" She clarified. When I didn't answer her, she continued, "Steve, you and Tommy don't just fight. Something started it. Now, tell me what it was."

"It was you," I whispered. The look in her eyes dropped.

"Me?" She asked, her voice getting caught in her throat as she took a step away from me.

"He made some comments," I stood up as I tried to explain. "I stood up for you."

"Wait," she cut me off. "Are you saying. . . I'm the reason you and your best friend fought?"

"You're my best friend, Y/N," I corrected. "And no one gets away with insulting you in front of me."

"Steve," she stuttered.

"I love you," I cut her off. I heard her suck in a breath. I used her shock to my advantage. I grabbed her hands in mine as gently as I could.

"I'm madly, crazily, perfectly in love with you."

I laughed as Y/N quickly closed the gap between us by practically tackling me into a hug. We fell back on her bed as she pressed her lips to mine. We moved our lips messily in sync until neither one of us could breathe. She broke the kiss, hovering over me.

Your Reader AU has my brain going brrr...though im mostly focused on the crack-ish ones.

This gave me an idea (maybe for a fanfic ill wrote muuuuuch later!) like what if Reader is aware of the Links trying to court them and the second they realize that the Chain likes them romantically, they immediately go cold. What if Reader has a long, long history of bad experience with romance and they're just tired and deadeyed. And when they start noticing the Links going yandere, they just laugh, saying "oh look, something new this time!"

Wild laughed merrily as he recounted a funny story about the time he had tricked a man out of his sand and snow boots, shoving another bowl of warm soup into your still warm hands from just finishing your first bowl.

You passed it back saying you were full already.

Thought they finally decided to back off and leave your friendships the way it was, as just friends.

Time paired you up with him again, giving a curt response about how the inn was short on rooms, sometimes it was that the group just needed to save rupees, and people needed to group up.

You told him you'd just room with Wind then since the young teen wanted to hear another story about your own teenage years full of youthful fun and mischief.

Sky and Four presented you with an earring they had made together: it was a metallic earing with a red feather hung off the end, crafted just so that the feather was long enough to lightly tickle you cheek and sometimes your neck from time to time.

They hadn't taken the hint. They've ignored the warning signs. Practically driven over them with a stampeding horse, or a Hinox.

Twilight wrapped his wolf pelt around your form for the tenth time today, reminding you of how cold it was and how he didn't want for you to get sick.

You shrugged it to Wind, reminding Twilight you were fine just like the other nine times he had tried giving you his pelt before.

Just what more did you have to do, what more signals did you need to give them for them to get the hint?!

Hyrule had been hovering over you like a frantic cucco all afternoon, constantly offering to heal you and making sure you were okay after your little trip from a branch on the dirt road.

Once again you showed him the small scratch you had gotten, the one that was already scabbing over, telling him that you were fine, and he should save his energy for an injury that mattered.

You didn't want to sit them all down, outright tell them that you knew what they were all doing and how you wanted it to just stop. So you gave little hints here and there about past relationships that ended not so nicely, about how you were a little wary of dating again.

Wars shooed away a stranger that couldn't get the hint you weren't interested in his advances, wrapping his strong arm around your waist and glaring at the poor sap.

Though your thanks died upon your tongue when the war hero kept his arm there even after the man had left only letting go after you had pried yourself away from his side.

But did they get the fact that you weren't interested with them either? No.

Legend scolded you again, demanding you hand over your favorite shirt that had been slightly damaged by a stray arrow from a bokoblin during a skirmish, so he could fix it up.

Begrudgingly you handed it over, also wanting it to be fixed since it was always so comfy to wear. But you kept an eye on Legend's progress with it and swooped the shirt up with a curt thankyou as soon as he was done with it.

You wouldn't fall for his lies about how he had messed up a stitch or that he wasn't done with the article of clothing like he had done the many other times before.

You knew they were heroes and that maybe they had gotten so used to fixing things or that they just had the sheer will to preserve through all of your shutdowns and mis-directions since they were apparently the bearers of the triforce of courage, but it was getting ridiculous now.

Perhaps you needed to have a straight talk with them, needed to tell them that you weren't interested and that you wanted to just remain friends with them.

After all it's not like you could just up and leave them, as if they would ever allow it. Hyrule, no matter which one you traveled across, was dangerous and you didn't exactly have the survival expertise to even make it a day on your own.

So you just had to deal with the group's antics with the slim hope that they would cool it down after you had a talk with them.

Hey dear! Thank you for the asks! From this list.

✨️ Out of the comments you’ve received on your fics, what are two or three of your favorites?

This is a tough one to answer because I have a lot of writing out there and, hence, a lot of comments. But back when I was writing Delaying the Inevitable, the comments were often mindblowing in both good and bad ways, but mostly good! lol Dori is not here anymore, but her comments used to move me to tears. @rosebudde isn't really here (though not deactivated, lol), and they were wonderful as well. I hope they know just how much they've meant to me. Also, @secretaryunpaid's insightful, thought-provoking comments (and her incredible GIFS) always make me squeal! lol I've also gotten some comments, usually in DM, that are the most precious to me... like someone told me they read my fics while going through chemo, and it cheered them up. Another told me a fic I wrote gave them the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship, and others have said that my writing lifts them when they're depressed. Those are like gifts, because if our writing can do something to make another person's life better in any way... man, there is nothing better than that.

LORD. lol If you had told me three years ago that I would be writing fanfic, I would have looked at you a little funny. lol I decided to write an alternate ending to Open Heart because Pixelberry (as usual) fucked things all up. I didn't think I'd write anything more. Then, while talking to @icecoffee90 (in another world, I didn't even have a Tumblr at the time), I explained an idea I had for an Ethan x Casey x Tobias triangle, and she said, "Please tell me you're writing this." It turned into a 35-chapter fic. lol After that, I was bitten by the bug... and I'm still here for now. lol

God, that's such a hard question. But I'm going to try...

Overall, I'd have to say it was the DTI Series, even though I would like to go back and make some changes.

I've also always loved Friends*, a playful, angsty & smutty friends-to-lovers AU I did for Tobias & Casey.

I liked A Family Affair, where Casey tells Tobias's snooty family that she's bisexual. That one was close to home for me.

I like ripping people's hearts out... so Forever (Ethan x Kaycee), Unforgettable (Tobias x Casey), What's Forever For (Tobias x Casey), and A Moment in Time (Trystan x Carolina AU) are good fo that! lol

But, honestly, I think one of the things I'm most proud of is my Eli Sipes "prequel" A Mother's Journal, Coming up Blank, and The End of the World are amongst the things I'm most proud of - and they definitely qualify as tearjerkers, too. lol

For lighter fare, Just Until Midnight (Ethan x Kaycee) would be up there. The how baby Samantha Carrick came to be stories, The Perfect Gift and For Keeps. UHM. You said ONE, right. So sorry... lol :) It's like picking your favorite child! lol Thanks so much for asking and I'll shut up now! lol

Disagreements:

Who is more likely to raise their voice? If anyone is going to raise their voice, it'd be Nikolai, but that would be a rare event. Neither of them likes raised voices, and neither of them feel good about raising their voices, particularly with each other.

Who threatens to leave but never actually does? Neither

Who actually keeps their word and leaves? Neither

Who trashes the house? Neither

Do either of them get physical? No. They're both very gentle people and could never imagine putting their hands on each other in that way.

How often do they argue/disagree? They rarely argue, but they often disagree.

Who is the first to apologize? Usually Nikolai, even if he's not necessarily in the wrong. He just hates seeing Mishka upset. Mishka will apologize first if he knows he's in the wrong, though.

Sex:

Who is on top? Who is on the bottom? I'm combining these two questions because both Nikolai and Mishka are sides (men who find fulfillment/pleasure in every kind of same-sex sexual act except penetrative sex). They're both bisexual and they've each had experiences with women, so in those relationships they were "top" by default, but between the two of them there really is no top or bottom.

Who has the strangest desires? Neither of them have particularly strange desires, but Mishka does enjoy making love outdoors and Nikolai enjoys intimacy in the water

Any kinks? No

Who’s dominant in bed? Mishka would say it's Nikolai, but neither one of them is particularly dominant

If so, who is better at performing it? Mishka says Nikolai is better, but he's managed to make Nikolai literally cry with pleasure, so we have to go with Mishka as being the better performer here.

Ever had sex in public? No. Mishka would be mortified at the mere thought of sex in public. Nikolai has done it in a public place with a different partner, but he knows Mishka would never be okay with that level of risk-taking, so they keep it limited to their home or anywhere else they know they'll have privacy.

Who moans the most? Mishka. That was alarming to Nikolai the first time because he'd never heard another man moan and whimper the way Mishka does, and he was scared he'd accidentally hurt him somehow. Once he realized Mishka was just really enjoying himself, it was all good.

Who screams the loudest? Neither of them screams

Who is the more experienced of the two? Nikolai. He's had plenty of partners, both male and female. Although he's also bisexual, Mishka was only ever with women before he met Nikolai and he'd only had a few different partners.

Do they ‘fuck’ or ‘make love’? They make love. Neither of them could imagine referring to it as fucking. When Nikolai thinks about fucking, he invariably comes up with a mental image of his ex-wife Anya, and it's not a pleasant association for him.

Rough or soft? Always gentle and soft with these two. Anya liked it rough and Nikolai had no idea how soothing and satisfying it could be until he met Mishka. He loves the way Mishka touches him, like he's the most precious and beautiful thing alive. Mishka likewise appreciates that Nikolai understands he's happiest when they're moving slowly and softly.

How long do they usually last? They like to take their time, so they can go on for quite a while.

Who likes to cuddle? They both love to cuddle. Most of the time, they'd rather just cuddle than make love. They definitely enjoy lovemaking, but they're happy with lots of non-sexual intimacy and don't always feel the need to do more.

Who is the little spoon? The "little" spoon is actually Mishka. He loves to be held, even though the positioning is slightly awkward. Nikolai likes to tease him about not realizing how big he is.

Who gets naughty in the most inappropriate of places? This would be Nikolai, and he always has to remind himself that Mishka would be horribly embarrassed if they crossed too far over the line of what Mishka considers appropriate in public.

Who struggles to keep their hands to themselves? Both of them. Mishka has massive anxiety about being in public spaces and he wants to be in near-constant physical contact with Nikolai when they're out in public, whether it's holding hands, letting Nikolai take his arm, walking with their arms around each other's waists, or letting their foot or leg touch the other person's when they're sitting down somewhere. It's not unusual to see Mishka hugging Nikolai from behind while they stand in line for their coffee in the morning. Nikolai doesn't object to any of this, of course. He's perfectly content to touch and be touched pretty much any time.

At home, Nikolai often gives Mishka little reassuring touches at any point throughout the day. As for Mishka, he can never resist the temptation to touch Nikolai's birthmark whenever he happens to catch Nikolai with his shirt off. Nikolai's birthmark is heart-shaped, and Mishka is fascinated by it and can't seem to leave it alone.

How long can they cuddle until one becomes uncomfortable? They can cuddle for half an hour or so at a time, unless they're in bed where they could comfortably cuddle for hours. Nikolai is usually the one who becomes uncomfortable first, mostly because Mishka can't conceptualize his own size and seems to think he can fit on Nikolai's lap or otherwise drape himself all over him.

What is their favourite non-sexual activity? Holding hands. These two are constantly holding hands, so much so that almost everyone notices it. As for actual activities, one of their favourite things to do together is to go camping.

Where is their favourite place to cuddle? In bed. This is the easiest and most comfortable place for them to cuddle, especially considering their size difference.

Who is more likely to playfully grope the other?  They're both equally likely to do this when they're alone at home and they're in the mood.

How often do they get time to themselves? More or less whenever they want. They live together and don't have any children or roommates, so when Nikolai isn't working, they can be together as much as they want.

Sleeping:

Who snores? Both of them

If both do, who snores the loudest? Mishka does

Do they share a bed or sleep separately? They share a bed

If they sleep together, do they cozy up together or lay far apart? They like to cuddle together, and sometimes they'll stay curled up together even after they fall asleep.

Who talks in their sleep? Neither

What do they wear to bed? Nikolai will often sleep in just his underwear, sometimes with a tank top or t-shirt and sometimes without. In the coldest part of winter he likes to wear PJ pants or sweatpants to bed. Mishka sometimes just sleeps in his underwear and a t-shirt as well, but he likes pyjamas, especially in winter.

Are either of your muses insomniacs? No

Who wakes up with bed hair? Nikolai, although it's kind of hard to tell since he looks like he has 24/7 bed hair.

What time is bed time?  Nikolai's bedtime is usually around 10:30 p.m. (he routinely gets up at 5:00 a.m.) Mishka will often go to bed with him, but he doesn't really have a bedtime and sometimes goes to bed earlier or later than Nikolai.

Any routines/rituals before bed? Nothing special. They'll just do typical hygiene things like showering and brushing their teeth. Mishka will take his contacts out, if he's bothered to wear them that day.

Who’s the grumpiest when they wake up? Mishka. He's not a morning person and he'd stay in bed until noon if Nikolai would let him.

Who is more likely to burn the house down just trying? Neither. Mishka is sometimes nervous about cooking, but he knows how to use all the appliances safely.

Nikolai and his ex-wife Anya chose the house specifically because it was in a quieter area outside the main part of the city, and Nikolai still values the relative privacy and quiet of the area. Mishka loves it because it's got lots of green space for his garden and his animals, and he also likes that it's quiet and that it's so near the ocean.

What do they do when they’re away from each other? They absolutely do not like being away from each other. When Nikolai travels with his students for competitions, sometimes Mishka comes too. When Mishka is not able to come along for whatever reason, Nikolai usually arranges for Mishka to stay with his parents and grandfather, or with Beth-Anne, because Mishka hates being alone (he had a roommate before he moved in with Nikolai). While Nikolai is away, they'll call and text each other multiple times a day, and Mishka meets him at the airport when he returns.

Where did they first meet? They met at a pub

How did they first meet? It was Nikolai and Natascha's 30th birthday when Mishka and Nikolai first met. Nikolai and Natascha and some of their friends were having a small get-together for the twins' birthday at a pub in the city, called the Dockside Alehouse. While Nikolai and his friend Hunter were up at the bar getting another round of drinks for everyone, Mishka happened to wander in. He was clearly lost and looked like he was on the verge of panic.

Mishka had only arrived in town a couple of days before, as part of a mid-season player trade, and he was staying at a downtown hotel until he found a place of his own. He'd decided to go out for a walk, managed to get his directions confused (typical for Mishka), and couldn't find his way back to the hotel. He'd stopped at a nearby convenience store to ask for help, but no one had been able to understand him, and the only other place open nearby was the Dockside. Because his English was so limited, he was having trouble making himself understood by the bartender at the pub too.

It was a case of being in the right place at the right time, as far as Nikolai was concerned, because he happened to recognize that in between bits of English, Mishka was speaking Russian, which is also Nikolai's first language. He decided to help him. Nikolai and Hunter invited Mishka to join the birthday party, and afterwards Nikolai took him back to his hotel.

Nikolai and Mishka continued to see each other after that, and eventually their friendship developed into a relationship. They were together for four years the first time, but decided to separate for a number of factors, not the least of which were Mishka's crazy travel schedule and the interference of Nikolai's ex-wife.

They always said they'd try to find their way back to each other if their lives ever stabilized. After six years of separation, during which they had semi-regular contact and a handful of short-term relationships each, they finally did find their way back to each other. This time, they're not letting go ever again.

Who spends the most money when out shopping? Mishka. He loves clothes and jewelry.

Who’s more likely to flash their assets? Neither

Who finds it amusing when the other trips over? Neither one. Mishka gets upset over the smallest thing happening to Nikolai, and Nikolai is super protective of Mishka.

Any mental issues? Mishka has Generalized Anxiety Disorder and he's prone to panic attacks.

Who’s terrified of bugs? Neither

Who kills the spiders around the house? They don't kill spiders. Mishka catches them and takes them outside.

Their favourite place? Their favourite place is actually their back yard.

Do they have any fears for their future? They don't, really. Their biggest fear is one of them losing the other because of an accident or illness, but even this is more of a nebulous fear than a specific one.

Who’s the tallest? MIshka! He's 196cm (compared to Nikolai's 173cm)

Who’s more likely to just randomly hop into the shower with the other? They're equally likely to hop into the shower with each other. Nikolai would do it because he wants to play, and Mishka would do it "to be more efficient... but actually I missed you."

 Who wanders around in their underwear? They both do, but Nikolai tends to do it more and to not be shy about it.

Who sings the loudest when singing along to the radio? Mishka, and he's really good.

What do they tease each other about? Nikolai often teases Mishka about not realizing how big and tall he is, and says Mishka is like a Great Dane who thinks he's a lap dog. Mishka likes to tease Nikolai about his ever-present bed head. Nikolai's hair cannot be tamed, and he's given up trying, but Mishka still thinks it can be done with enough hair product.

Who is more likely to cringe at the other’s fashion sense at times? Mishka is more likely to cringe at Nikolai's fashion choices. Sweatpants/athletic pants are a wardrobe staple for Nikolai. He's perfectly comfortable going out in public wearing exactly what he'd wear at the rink or around the house. Although Mishka can admit that Nikolai does look very good in form-fitting athletic pants, he's a little embarrassed to be seen with him wearing them to the grocery store or to a dentist appointment. Mishka always tries to encourage Nikolai to dress up a bit more for errands and appointments, to at least wear jeans and a nice shirt rather than sweatpants, a hoodie and sneakers.

Do they have mutual friends? Yes. Nikolai's student Eden and his partner Haru are their mutual friends, as well as Beth-Anne and her girlfriend Peace. They consider their elderly neighbour Michael Nelson to be their friend. Nikolai has friends who Mishka is friendly with, and Mishka likewise has a few friends who Nikolai knows and is friendly with, but their shared circle of friends is actually quite small.

Who crushed first?  MIshka. He had an instant crush on Nikolai (his hero!) that very first night at the pub.

Who is more likely to stumble home drunk at 3am? Neither. They're both usually in bed at 3:00 a.m. If anyone's going to stumble home drunk though, it's Nikolai. Mishka has a shocking alcohol tolerance and can drink Nikolai and most of their friends under the table.

it's currently february, y/n has been planning a surprise party for harry, she had to message harry's mum which was terrifying for her as they haven't even been introduced, it wasn't the end of the world and anne was so excited that even though they were only dating for a few months that y/n was so ready to do these little things for her son. harry thinks they're just going on a date tonight and then come back to his house for a really sweet night of i love yous and sloppy sex. y/n was able to arrange a 15 minute window for anne to come over and start getting his apartment ready for the party. y/n had gotten harry a suit for his birthday and insisted that he would change at her house, harry was confused but he didn't think anything much of it.

y/n loved seeing harry in beiges and browns, it was something she genuinely loved, not that he looks bad in anything but there's just something that gets her all mushy inside when he wears beige, even pink, so clearly, she got him beige suit pants that go with a white shirt and a tan vest with pear drawings, y/n had an eye for fashion and she always took a mental note of things harry has mentioned, including this vest.

"how do i look?" harry asks, taking the well loved hair clip from his hair, "like a very sexy 28 year old" y/n giggled and stood up to properly check him out, "yeah you look so good my mouth is watering", he kissed her in between laughs, y/n looked good too, in a off white summer dress with puffy short sleeves and a little bow on her chest, white tights with really cute embroidered drawings and black mary janes. harry always thought she looked drop dead gorgeous, even when she was sweaty and exhausted from ballet class and would kiss him and sit on a stool awaiting her precious latte, he just thought she looked like what god is supposed to look like. "you know... if we didn't have our dinner... i'd definitely take this off right now" harry whispers in her ear sending shivers down her spine, he knew exactly what he did to her, in that department things have been... different, they've been trying a few things out and the more he learns about y/n in bed the easier it is for him to tease her and make her cheeks get a rosy coloured flush. "harry... cmon we still have to go to your house" y/n is trying hard to not get her knees weak or worse accidentally say theres a surprise party for him. "right fuck i still can't believe i left my phone at home, i'm sorry bunny" y/n knew exactly she was the one making sure his phone was at home so they had to go back but she just kissed his lips, grabbed her purse and went out the door.

on the uber ride, y/n texted anne saying they were on their way so they could hide and get remotely ready for the surprise, the jitters through y/n's body were absolutely killing her poor stomach, making her have a really big pain on that area, "bunny? do you wanna stay home? u look like you're sick" harry says as he puts his right over her tummy, "no no it's your birthday!!"

once harry opened the door and turned the lights on, his closest friends and family jumped and yelled surprise, harry stood tall with a shocked yet happy expression on his face, putting his hands on his face in disbelief, "oh my god you guys", he ran to his mum and sister hugging them tightly, "you planned all this?" he asks still in the hug, "no, darling, y/n planned all of this, we just helped getting it to come true" anne said going back to hug her son on his special day. 

the party wasn't the kind of birthday party 21 year old y/n goes from her university friends, this is sweet, there's an 80s playlist playing, wine and cheeses and vegan spreads, harry was talking to his friends, they all looked about harry's age and really nicely put, she's listening to their conversation, sort of, they're going over writing and magazines and issues going on at the mother company of few of the magazines harry writes for outside of his side job as a barista. truth be told y/n understood nothing and felt like a little girl just sulking while waiting for harry to give her attention. 

it's now 3am, y/n has just finished putting the leftovers inside the fridge, harry, who was supposed to still be loading the dishwasher, was attentively following her every move, grunts and small sighs, "ready to tell me whats inside that pretty mind?" harry asks, following her into the living room, "there's nothing to tell", y/n isn't as emotionally grown as harry, not that's she's childish when it comes to emotions, she just immediately has bad thoughts and uses anger as a coping mechanism, harry has a gut feeling y/n's ex wasn't actually the best person on earth and so many of her questions and worries and fears come from never knowing what true love is supposed to be like. "bunny... you wouldn't be pouty without reasoning" harry hugged her from behind, "but if you don't want to talk i get it, we can just stay like this", y/n closed her eyes and let herself rest in his arms for a minute, "i just.. all of your friends they're so... grown.. and i'm not and what if you want more? what if you need more? it's just... scary, h." harry tightened the hug, "i'm ruining your birthday i'm so sorry", he mouthed a little shush and turned her around to look at her face, "y/n.. i want you, please never doubt for any minute that you aren't the person i want and love the most, yeah they’re my age but look at you, 2 years of uni and you scored an internship at a studio, you do ballet, you work with all kinds of people.. you’re grown too, a little too grown for a 21 year old, i promise you i was a fuck up at your age” his lips met her forehead,  the most underrated of kisses, "listen to me let's take a shower okay? get these clothes off and sleep, mm? can we do that?" of course they could.

 it's been a week since y/n's moment of honesty and so many more moments of honesty were shared between them, especially at the end of the day before falling asleep. it snowed today, london has been messy and people have been rude and acting like they've never seen snow in their lives, y/n walks into the tall building where her ballet classes and rushes to see harry, he's restocking the food in display when he hears his girlfriends teary voice, he immediately puts the tray of deserts down and gets out behind the counter to kiss her, "you're freezing, let me get u coffee", he goes back and makes her a warm drink, he knew y/n had been on her nerves lately but today just seemed like the last straw by the sad look on her face. "people are so stupid, this man almost made me fall while leaving the tube by pushing me really hard, my foot hurts a little and i have class now and i really need to wash my hair and i have internship deadlines to meet at the photography studio and-" harry cut her off placing a croissant in front of her, "please eat and let me talk", she nodded, "first off next time someone pushes u like that just step on their feet, second are you okay to dance? does it hurt?... and y/n you have been working a lot lately i'm sure you can meet your deadlines you're just nervous and thats okay", he put a piece of her curtain bangs behind her ear and rested his forehead on hers, "everything is okay bunny, eat your croissant and drink your latte, yeah?" 

harry's shift ended while y/n was still in class, usually his shift ends after and y/n just waits for him so they can go to either one of their places together, he decided to go upstairs and watch a bit of her class, he was really curious about the whole atmosphere and dynamic of y/n in her ballet class, y/n has told him a million times if he ever wants to watch it for a little that he's always welcome, he took his opportunity and walked in, y/n's teacher saw him in the corner of her eye and came up to him. "hello? how can i help?" she asked, "i'm harry, y/n's boyfriend i work downstairs", he was still standing at the ballet studio door, "oh! i'm maya, y/n's teacher", she smiles and points at the floor, "you can sit there we're just finishing up!". y/n already doing stretches, his heart shrunk a little by not seeing her dance, something he absolutely loves to watch y/n do, y/n spots him through the mirror in front of her and makes a sign to go meet her, he does and sits next to her, also stretching. 

"what are you doing here?"

"well i finished my shift earlier and i wanted to see you"

harry was carrying y/n’s stuff inside his house, placing them on top of his dining table, y/n had been the entire tube ride explaining how her class is doing a small production of the nutcracker to present at a local theatre, mostly for schools to go to, she didn’t have a big hope to be a lead has she knows she’s been on this class for 6 months and it’s not her time to shine yet, but she is actually so excited and ready to start rehearsing. “when are you guys supposed to present it?”, harry asks getting his shoes off, “maya said late may, she’s hosting auditions next week with one of her colleagues in another school, they’re judging us by our regular routines so i’m a little less nervous” y/n explains, they were quickly changing clothes to go and do touristy things in london, they have been doing this every time his shift and her class are in the morning, usually on tuesdays, y/n always takes the chance to photograph harry, her favourite model. “borough market date?” she asks, packing some linen food bags onto her bag, “oh yeah my fridge actually looks very sad, i’ve gotten used to your cooking” he kisses her forehead, “want to cook dinner tonight? i’ll help” he continues, doing his puss in boots eyes to her, “stop it, i can’t say no if you look at me like that….maybe a bowl? with veggies and rice, we could get broccoli, mushrooms, some vegan chicken and vegan pesto?” his stomach growls just thinking about it, “i don’t know how you do it, you just always know what i’m craving.” harry sees improvement on y/n’s eating, she eats more and hasn’t fainted in a long while, he doesn’t totally get it as he hasn’t been there but he still reads about it a lot. 

borough market was packed as usual, it’s a tourist spot but y/n and harry love going there and get their fruit and veggies, once they even got garlic tofu and started buying it way too often for their own good, one of harry’s favourite meals y/n has ever made, said tofu, brown rice, hummus and a side salad of rainbow veggies, his mum mentioned his tummy was definitely bigger, comfy, something he didn’t mind if it meant eating this good every night.

Hello! I love your GotG OCs and I was wondering if you could share some Laroshi and/or Farina lore/headcanons? Or even about canon characters! I'm just curious about your hcs, haha

Hi!! Oh my goodness, thank you! I can put the ladies' ones here but if you or anyone are curious about more, I'm happy to answer!!!

Farina

- Loves some of the traditionally "less cute" animals the clinic gets in. Rats? Precious. Bats? So cool, they're rats that can FLY. That sharp-toothed thing with the fur? Would TOTALLY adopt if she could

- A little more of a quiet kid who read animal facts, facts about the universe. Got embarrassed for info dumping more than once, so stopped talking about it. One of the things she appreciates most about Nebula is that Nebula is a good listener to her, and can tell her surprisingly gently when they need to switch topics

- Also a bit of a star geek. Used to watch them from the balcony of her home when she was a kid. Also did this when she was with a bad ex and needed to get away for a bit.

- Unfortunately there's been more than one bad ex. She's learned to assert herself better though, and having her wife and the nursing staff there to back her up has been a huge help in this.

- She lets Nebula braid her hair! Nebula likes the novelty of it, and Farina likes the attention.

- Gamora still doesn't quiet get how jet dynamic works with Nebula, but loves the genuine smile Nebula has when she's with Farina.

- Really big on making sure Nebula feels included in things, and respects when she doesn't want to do something.

- Very much the "I'm not angry, just disappointed" type if fighting with Nebula. Nebula had one old-school tantrum during an argument between them, once, saw how shaken it left Farina, and vowed to be better after that. And she was.

- They've done more than one vacation to theme parks together. Everyone thinks it's Farina pulling Nebula along, but it's quite the opposite. Farina is a little more of a homebody, but loves her wife getting to experience the childhood she SHOULD have had. She's been terrified of every roller coaster she's ever been on, but her wife's maniacal laughter is just SO flipping cute.

- Big into pop music. Would play Harry Styles all day if she could.

- Identifies as a lesbian! She knew in grade school when she'd get WAY too emotional about friendships.

Now time for some Laroshi ones!

- The mom friend from a young age. Hosa and Meti were such airheads, somebody had to stop them from falling off a cliff. 🙄

- Loves numbers because they make sense! Whether it's cooking, working on alloy materials from her forge, or money, she's quite good with it all. She never really had an opportunity to spread her math wings on Fauntera, but can on Knowhere. Is the accountant for the Guardians.

- Has gotten them enough extra money they were due over the years that combined it could have bought another Knowhere.

- Comes from a large family. She had seven siblings, all who reached adulthood, got married, and had children of their own. This stung a little bit as she always wanted to be a mom and wife. It just didn't happen, though.

- Unable to have children biologically due to an illness she contracted on Fauntera during the uprising. This is why she was unable to reunite with Meti initially.

- Meti quietly offered to give her the money to have a baby like how he had Skye, and to pull strings to get her to the front of the lind. She would have taken him up on this, but she and Kraglin were too far apart genetically to have one together, so it just wasn't worth it to her. Her prayers were still answered, though, with Benji.

- She helped give Benji a Spider-Man-themed bar mitzvah without knowing what a bar mitzvah was or what a Spider-Man was.

- Practiced calling herself "Laroshi Geer" way too much as a kid. Would have had binders with their initials in hearts if she could have.

- Marrying Kraglin is literally the first spontaneous thing she's done in her life. She immediately fell for his kindness. She also loves that he isn't as proper as she felt she had to make herself be in order to help guide and protect her people, or to find a spouse.

- Loves going to bars with him. He gets her to loosen up like she's always wanted to, but never knew where to start.

- She, in turn, respects him from the get-go. He's never had to prove himself to her.

- She collaborates with Rocket a lot on creating things! She created all his mobility aides during his surgeries, so that they'd be portable for him, and has helped him mod some weapons.

- Loves jewelry making for herself. Kraglin brings her gems from planets, she turns it into bracelets, necklaces, etc for herself. Her favorite is a necklace with a gem that matches his eyes, and she wears this a lot when he's on missions.

- Big into punk rock.

- Is the neighborhood mom now. If there's a kid who needs something, they know they can go to her forge and she'll try to help.

- Learned English for her adopted son. It wasn't easy, but she loves Benji that much.

- She loves making knickknacks for the house. Yondu would have taken a shine to her.

- Intensely proud of her husband. Faunterians can be a little bit of a haughty bunch, so she brags about him a LOT. Kraglin doesn't get it, but he also doesn't mind.

- They don't get in blowup fights, but he knows she's annoyed with him if dinner is cold. She knows he's upset with her if he seems quieter and mutters about needing to look at something around the house.

- Has an iffy understanding of genders and sexualities, but is incredibly supportive. Most likely identifies as cis and hetero.

- Some of their favorite things to do as a couple is visit the beach, go to the farmers market, and making upgrades to their weapons. Ya know. Couples things!

You've spent much of your afterschool hours and weekends at cram school as of late.

If you have to mention any upside of this place, it's that many of the students around you share your grievance about the packed study schedule. Even if you know you won't keep in touch with many of them once university comes around, their comradery during these trying times is precious anyway.

Although, if you have to point out the best things about them, it's their complete ignorance about your boyfriend. You love Taehoon, you do. But, your friends at school have used him as ammo to tease you one too many times for you to feel comfortable bringing him up with any stranger. Never mind that his reputation has a habit of painting the wrong image about him.

You won't deny he is a thug. (Was. Is. One of the two.) You won't deny that he used to bully people either. (One would argue he never stopped.) Yet, he has proven to be capable of changes in these recent months. You, as a girlfriend, cannot be prouder of him, but even then, you do not want to reveal who you are dating.

You have been surrounded by rich, pampered children for long enough to know they will become gossipmongers at any given chance. It will be a cold day in hell before you willingly feed them with anything to latch on to.

You won't hide the truth when confronted, of course. However, lying by omission has always been the gentler and preferable crime. Though, in any case, Taehoon has long lost his desire to have a channel, which makes you worry less about his publicity. Long as this continues for the rest of the school year, you don't have anything to worry about.

Drearily, you glance up to meet the worried eyes of a classmate at cram school. You fail to put a name to their face at the immediate moment, but from what you remember about your previous interactions with them, they've always been nice.

Relaxed because of that reminder, you fix on a smile, the mask of politeness, "I'm fine, just a bit stressed about the upcoming exam, you know?"

They smile in return, far more genuine than you, "I can understand, I have been studying forever and it doesn't get any better."

"Yeah? Do you know which school you're taking the exam for?" Even if your mind is plagued with other matters to worry about, you take them up on their conversation. "I'm still thinking about my options, it'd be nice to hear another perspective."

That is a lie, but you succeed in goading them to talk about their problems instead of yours. You make a noncommittal hum, once again lost to your inner musing while they go on about their studying plan. Every now and then, you make a well-placed noise of agreement and smile at the correct part.

However, your mind strays towards Taehoon again. You haven't seen him much since the new school year begins. Since your teachers get even stricter with the final year, you haven't gotten many chances to talk with him either. You should send him a text message soon...

"Oh, what about you? What are your options?"

When the direction of the discussion comes back to you, you pretend to think it over when in reality, you're only trying to remember the question. "The usual, you know, SNU, SKKU, I'm also looking at Yonsei's clinical medicine options."

"Ah, there's a few others in our class who are also—"

Your attention strays again. However, this time, it is not where you predicted. You glance towards another desk in front of you. A few students, male and female, hunch over the phone of another female student. It is not unintentional that you look that way. Indeed, there's a reason for everything, and this is yours.

"Seriously? Han Gyeoul is back again?"

"I heard this has an affiliation with Yoo Hobin company."

"Yeah? No wonder why they have this many views already."

To that interruption, even your companion gets distracted. "Hm, those fighting channels are really popular nowadays. I guess it's not a surprise our classmates get into it, too."

You smile at the mention of your friends. Despite not having a lot of chances to catch up with them, you're glad to hear that they're doing well. "Yeah, it's—"

"Gyah ♥ It's Seong Taehoon!"

"Oh my god, Taehoon is on this new channel!"

"Seriously?! What's the name of it?!"

"Resolve TV!"

The.

Wut.

You move before you even think, sticking your head into the crowd of students gathering in front of you. Thankfully for the excitement of others, your own flabbergasted attitude doesn't draw any suspicion.

One look at the screen of the other student's phone, your fear is confirmed true. None other than the aforementioned Seong Taehoon appears. In fact, from the look of it, he has somehow collected the money from the thugs shown in the streaming.

You run a hand through your hair, plopping back down to your seat. Belatedly, your companion reminds you of their presence. "You're interested in that guy?"

"Huh, what?"

They smile awkwardly, a bit bashful, "Seong Taehoon?"

Well, it is apparent that not everyone missed out on how you reacted. "Ah, well," you mirror their expression, "I thought they mentioned somebody I know."

That is not a lie. However, you are under no obligation to explain the entirety of it, in spite of what their urging eyes tell you. To escape from the situation, you pull out your phone and shoot a quick message to Taehoon.

[ Resolve TV ??? ]

[ Seong Taehoon ??? Explain ??? ]

No answer comes. It is expected, he's currently on the live stream after all. Before you have a chance to hold any grievance over him, your teacher enters the room and effectively settles down any commotion ongoing, whether it comes from the stream or otherwise.

You sigh, putting the problem out of your head. Whatever this is, it can wait. For the moment, you have physics to review.

The brain bees are making me think about my hosie/final fantasy 14 AU and will not leave me (literally started writing this post at 4am but stopped because it was almost 5am but now I've come to finish this post at an appropriate time in the late afternoon)

Okay. So I've had a lot to think about in terms of what Jobs Hope, Josie, and their kids would have and despite my very first post saying otherwise, I've come to a new conclusion:

Hope Mikaelson, our favourite Tribrid, would have these Jobs in this exact order:

Dragoon (no Tribrid reasoning tbh. Dragoons are just fucking hot ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ although one could argue it would fit her werewolf side)

Red Mage (there IS a Tribrid reasoning for this. Red Mages use magic, so that's a no brainer for Hope's witch side. But apart from magic casting, they also fight with rapiers, and I thought that was a cool little touch. Plus, it reminds me a lot of the blood sword we saw Hope use in the show. Not to mention Red Mage--like Dragoons--have some very fanciful moves that made me think of Hope as well. Very fitting.)

Dark Knight (another with Tribrid reasoning. I haven't actually gotten to Heaven's Ward expansion pack to unlock this Job or its Job Quest so all the information of Dark Knight are from videos I've seen. But the Job is perfect for Hope's vampires side as Dark Knight has this blood guage or something which was so fitting. And the lore behind this Job apparently goes super fucking hard lol. And edgy and broody, which is even more perfect for our resident Tribrid!)

For our lovely and favourite brunette siphoner, Josie Saltzman, here are the Jobs she would have in this order:

Black Mage (this felt like a no-brainer Job for her to have. Especially because this class focuses a lot with switching between your Blizzard spells and Fire spells. And we all know Josie is secretly a pyromaniac (lol I jest). So for her, Black Mage is perfect)

Blue Mage (this is another no-brainer and fits in theme with her Siphoner witch abilities. Blue Mages are able to copy the moves they've seen from their enemies, now sure this may not seem very Siphoner themed, but I assure you, it's sort of parallel to it. Siphoners are able to use magic if they siphon/take magic from someone or something magical right? Blue Mage is sort of like that in which they acquire spells of enemy moves to add to their arsenal of magic. So it makes sense in my book)

Honourable mention for Josie before I move on is the Bard Job. I felt like this Job would suit Josie nice because Bards have music stuff and I thought that fit. Though I don't quite remember if Josie being into or dabbling in music was canon or a fan fanon thing. Now, with the next Expansion Dawntrail coming out summer, I have been made aware that there are a few other Jobs that will be included in the pack--new jobs too (Viper being one of them but I'll get to that Job later). So it's possible that I will update this list for Josie once more when we get news of the rest of the new Jobs.

Moving onto my very precious Hosie Fankids!

Lana Mikaelson, she, like her mom Hope, is a Tribrid as well! So this will be pretty much the same except for one additional Job:

Dragoon (same reasoning as Hope)

Red Mage (originally I didn't think of Lana taking Red Mage, but when I realized Stormblood Expansion pack is now included in standard edition and free trial permanently, I had to try out Red Mage. And then I realized Red Mage is a perfect fit for Lana for the same reasons I gave in Hope's section)

Dark Knight (same reasoning as Hope)

Viper (this is one of the new Jobs that will be included in Dawntrail expansion and I am so excited. What information we have are from things that had been showcased already, with gameplay footage you could find on YouTube. But I chose this Job for Lana is because I'm a simple pal and loved the aesthetic. But also because YOU FIGHT WITH DUOBLADES THAT CAN THEN BE CONNECTED INTO ONE DOUBLE SIDED BLADE HOW COOL IS THAT PLUS it also fits well with a certain event and scene that I have plans for when it's time to write about Lana's adventures in my future kid fic series So I Swear That I'll Protect It. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up)

Hayley Mikaelson. The werewolf of the kids and one of Hosie's twins! I love Hayley she's the best:

Monk (felt this Job was fitting for her werewolf side. She's a heavy hitter, packs a mean punch, and werewolves sorta rely on that, most of the time I'm assuming. Sorry it's been a while since I've watched the series haha. But for Hayley, despite her werewolf side, I felt like Monk was the perfect fit!)

Rogue (now, I've already written up an in depth reasoning for picking this starting class here. But I'll paraphrase here anyways. I thought it might also be jnteresting to have Hayley, not only be a charge in type of girl, but also someone who knew how to be sneaky and use her cunning. She would have been taught to try out different battle tactics so she wouldn't just rely on her base instincts. The reason this is a starting class is because the next 'evolution' I guess is the Ninja Job, which I'm not sure if I want her to take. It's also very jarring to have a pirate-esque western-y feel and then evolve to something very Japanese-theme, but that's just me. Plus Jay is the anime weeb in the family lol

So literally after writing this post the other day I logged in to play as Hayley and ended up having her pick up the Marauder class so she can actually become Warrior haha

Warrior (like I've mentioned before, Hayley's fighting style is very rush in guns-a-blazing. She will do whatever it takes to have the focus on her so her friends or siblings/family can get the jump on the enemies without fear of getting targetted themselves. Which is absolutely fitting as a Tank role because Tanks pull mobs and enemies, they make sure all mobs and enemies are focusing on THEM while the rest of the party does their job without fear of being targetted. And I specifically chose Warrior as the Job for Hayley is because out of the four Tank Jobs: Paladin, Warrior, Dark Knight, and Gunbraker, I felt like Warrior fit better for Hayley in terms of her role and personality)

Reaper (I was writing this post about how to incorporate Hayley and Leo's TVDU backstory abilities into FFXIV AU and now I can't unsee Reaper being an excellent fit for Hayley because my hc is that Hayley is a werewolf yes, but she also has vampire blood running in her--courtesy of her Tribrid Mom) [RPR Job point added Feb 1, 2024]

Honourable mentions for other Jobs Hayley might take up. I have been humouring the idea of her taking on one of the four Tank Jobs (Paladin, Warrior, Dark Knight, and Gunbreaker), but I truly am unsure which of the Tank Jobs would be best suited for her. I mentioned previously that she's quite a "charge in head first" type, and that's usually what the Tank Jobs do where they pull enemies away from the party members so the party can do their thing. And I think Hayley is very much like that. Maybe Paladin or Warrior would be the two I could see for Hayley because iirc, in one of the intermission chapters for my very first Hosie fic Sad Bedroom Eyes, she was playing D&D and had chosen--nope never mind I just checked I had her pick the Monk class. Welp, that doesn't help me lol. I'll think more on this and then decide. Either that or wait to see what the new Jobs are for Dawntrail (I mean I guess Viper could also fit. And it would be nicely aligned with Rogue. We'll see though).

Also with her picking up a Tank job, I think Hosie would have very different outlooks and opinions on it. Hope--since Dark Knight is also a Tank--would be proud of Hayley and would probably help her fit into her role as a Tank until her daughter feels more confident and comfortable. As opposed to Josie who would be fretting about Hayley having to be the one to pull enemies and have all the attacks be aimed at her. I also think if the entire family goes do dungeons, Hope and Hayley would both be Tanks, Hope being main Tank and Hayley being off Tank at first--but I think they'll switch roles so that Hayley will get a chance to be main Tank. I think that would be really fun and really sweet bonding moment for the Hosie family.

Jay Mikaelson, the loveable goofball, twin to Hayley, big time anime weeb, and Siphoner. He will also have similar Jobs like his momma Josie, all except one additional Job:

Black Mage (same reasoning as Josie)

Blue Mage (same reasoning as Josie)

Dancer (in my fic So I Swear That I'll Protect It, Jay has taken dance classes and gymnastics and uses those moves to incorporate into his fighting in addition to his magic. It took me an embarrassingly long time to remember this information and only popped up when I was writing chapter 15 of We're Reckless And In Danger--second installment in SISTIPI series--so I quickly added this Job to Jay's list! And it's just so perfect for him)

Leo Mikaelson, the adopted son, youngest Mikaelson kid, and the ONLY HUMAN in a family of supernaturals. The kid's got his work cut out for him:

Scholar (I felt like this class was fitting for Leo since he wishes to learn all that he can about magic in order to relate more to his three older siblings. Of course Hayley is just a werewolf and does not have magic, but the sentiment is still there. And Scholars have a faerie that pretty much helps with buffs and heals and I think that's also nice for Leo. I see him as someone who's very friendly towards lots of creatures. And since Scholar is a Healing Job, I think it also works even more with Leo's need to want to support his siblings/family and help them out when he can.)

Bard (so I also wrote an in-depth reasoning for Leo taking up this class as well here, but I'll paraphrase. Asides from learning potions that do not require actual magic abilities, I think he'd also want to learn how to help protect his family and contribute a bit more. So he'd go to grandpa Alaric and ask for him to teach him how to fight with weapons. Obviously Hope and Josie were against that because Leo's too young to fight with weapons, but Alaric just teaches him archery--which works because Bards uses bows as their weapon. Another reason why I chose Bard is because in my first Hosie fic Sad Bedroom Eyes, I think I had Leo be really into theatre and performing arts, and Bards traditionally are performers, and in the game, they can play music. So that's why Bard is perfect for Leo!)

Summoner (in the game, Scholar and Summoners are Jobs that branched out of the Arcanist class. Summoners basically summon little versions of Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan to help fight them along with the Carbuncle. Oh, the Carbuncle is like a cute little fox creature anyways the Carbuncle turns into either Ifrit, Garuda, or Titan depending on the button you press anyways--like I said in Scholar, Leo would be out there befriending all the creatures like a tiny Snow White or Cinderella)

Astrologian (I mentioned how this is a great Job for Leo but never elaborated so now's my chance haha. Astrologian is also a Healing Job but they use tarot cards--which I thought would be excellent for Leo because it just connects back to Leo's wish to learn all that he can about magic. I'd like to think Freya teaches Leo how to read tarot and he's become very good at it)

Machinist (I think Machinist would be nice for Leo as well. The way I headcanon it, Leo would make potions and would somehow incorporate those into his fighting style. He'd probably tinker with things and build some sort of contraption or whatever. And Machinist are kind of like that--I mean they use guns in the game and I don't think Leo would actually use guns, but again, the sentiment is still there. The lore for this Job is that Machinist sort of follow the footsteps of Cid Garlond, a man who's great with utilizing magitek. So Machinist uses the knowledge that they know and turns it into something they can use in battle. And I think Leo would definitely--again--be creating trinkets of sorts to help his siblings/family that also incorporate the magic element)

White Mage (listen. Leo is a precious sunshine boi with a big imagination. Also White Mage are pure healers so that fits right up Leo's whole "i want to protect my family and make sure they're safe" and the fact that he is, in fact, the only damn healer in the goddamn family lmao. ALSO YOU GET A UNICORN WHEN YOU PLAY THIS JOB. OBVIOUSLY I'M GOING TO HAVE LEO PICK THIS JOB UP ARE YOU KIDDINGGGGG) [WHM Job point added Feb 14, 2024]

Wow I think that's about it for what Jobs Hosie and my Hosie Fankids would take up. Leo's ended up getting a lot more Jobs compared to the others, but I think it also makes sense considering how Leo is so eager to keep up pace with his supernatural family since he's the only human/non-supernatural.

Of course, maybe this list will get updated once the rest of the new Jobs for the Dawntrail expansion pack gets revealed, but until that happens...

Tbh I just love how Deep In The Shit Draxum and Galois are at this point with whatever the outcome of all of this is. I think, in a lot of stories where a main character is brainwashed and joins the bad guys, they always pull their punches in how long it lasts and what they do while they've switched sides. But here, not only has Draxum gotten Donnie/Galois to do some Heinous Shit (not only to his family once he figures all that shit out, but like. Yknow. War) but also??? The genuine emotional bond.

Like. In terms of long term damage and pain, the genuine care and rapport Draxum and Galois have is probably my favorite* part of DOTH because how do you 1) resolve the idea of someone who you think loves and cares about you and you have more in common with than almost anybody doing THAT to you and 2) how do you process that part of your life where things were undeniably good (and in some ways better) with the fact that it only came from pain and led you to do horrible things?? Every single twist in this story has me on the edge of my emotional seat Donnie is going to have psychological issues beyond comprehension when this is all done

*this is technically a lie because my real favorite thing about DOTH is your fantastic hidden city worldbuilding. Its become canon to me and also I could hear about how yokai society works forever. You really make it feel real in a way that really makes the story click. I also lump Draxums family under here bc they are legit fantastic break Bella out of jail so i may propose marriage

I very much dislike it when authors so clearly try to keep their precious darlings from doing anything problematic. Especially when they're trying to portray them as being morally grey or in the wrong, or even just showing poor judgement.

Katniss kills a civilian woman without hesitation to protect her squad. Zuko burns down Kyoshi village searching for the Avatar. Daenerys throws an entire region into chaos in her noble but naïve attempt to wipe out slavery. These are all characters we're supposed to like, that we generally do still like in spite of their problematic actions. (unless you're a Dany hater, in which case get off my blog and learn some reading comprehension) Their misdeeds give them depth, places to improve themselves and mature. That's what characters should be doing. If your protagonist keeps their hands clean the entire time, not only do they end up passive observers in their own story but it gives them no opportunity for growth. Daenerys learning from her ignorance and sculpting herself into a better ruler is not only a major component of her own story, but it's what sets her apart from the five kings. Avatar wouldn't be half of what it is without Zuko's redemption arc. And Katniss had to be that merciless, fatalistic Mockingjay to kill Coin-and killing Coin changes the meaning of the entire story.

The fucking world-building. I just watched a video today on world-building tips, and the guy doing the video essay used a Rubic's Cube as a metaphor for putting together all the different parts that make up a living, interesting fictional world and making them work together, with the disclaimer of DO NOT BUILD YOUR ENTIRE GODDAMN WORLD IN FULL DETAIL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE YOU WILL DIE. And I felt that on an emotional level. I've been re-reading ASOIAF lately, and I'm starting to develop more sympathy for Germ taking 'checks notes' twelve years so far to write the next book. I think he's legit weighed down by Worldbuilder's Disease and now the story is too big for him to hold up. I very much enjoy the world-building, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't. But oh my god it is a well with no bottom and I am pressing my feet and shoulders against the side trying not to fall.

What an idiot, Levi thinks after opening the door to Hange's office and instead of scientist hard at work finding scientist fast asleep.

"And who I was making this damn tea for?" he mumbles, as he puts the trail down - noiselessly, so to not disturb the sleeping beauty who- Levi clicks his tongue - is drooling right on her paperwork.

What a mess, he shakes his head, and rolls his sleeves before carefully, his palm wrapped in a handkerchief and still shuddering internally, he plucks the papers from underneath Hange's cheek. He'd throw the stained papers away instantly - if they belonged to him. But those are Hange's, and should he even touch them, she'd definitely have his head.

Even at that miniscule interference, Hange shifts in her sleep. Levi freezes, afraid that he'd woken her up and hoping - rather irrationally - that his stillness now would allow her slumber to continue.

It works, though, rather miraculously, and Levi sighs with relief. Hange even starts to snore, as he moves the chair and picks her up in his arms.

What a bother, he thinks, when immediately - as though by sheer instinct - Hange snuggles into him. She is so tall, damn her, and when Levi straightens, her mouth- touches his neck.

It's pure accident, he knows. But he still cannot help the shaky exhale and a blush that he's sure is already spreading across his cheeks.

She's going to be the death of him, he's certain. No one has gotten so close to him, no one has gotten him making tea for them in the dead of the night, no one makes him carry them into bed, and yet Hange- Hange does it all so damn naturally, slips in between his defences as though for her - they've never even existed.

A stubborn, strange and so incredible - Hange is all that, and even more. A comrade, friend, close confident, for him she's all that, and- and even more. So much more that Levi doesn't even know the name for it. Hange is not family, at least - not in the sense that Farlan and Isabel were. She is... different, always, even in that.

She shifts yet again, when he carefully balances her on his one arm, while the other one opens the door to her office; Levi has another moment of fear - surely his clumsiness has woken her up, this time -definitely, however- she only snuggles closer, getting more comfortable.

What an incredible impudence, she treats him as though he's a damn sofa. Any other time, were Hange awake - and not so damn cute, snoring into his neck - he would have- called her an idiot, at the very least. Maybe, even flick her on the nose.

But Hange's sleeping face is so peaceful, and her snores are absolutely adorable. Levi is completely powerless against them. Hange has left him defeated, without even trying.

It all gets so much worse, however, when Hange- damn, damn, damn her- nuzzles into him, and then, so quiet that he's almost sure that had imagined it, she whispers, "Ah Levi..."

It's so soft, that "Ah Levi", so gentle, spoken with tenderness that is so unusual for their titan-obsessed scientist. And it comes so suddenly that Levi almost drops his precious charge.

He catches himself just in time, though, and cradles Hange closer, with protectiveness that is well-hidden when she's awake.

Is she awake now, he wonders, and squints intently at her, searching for any sign that Hange tries to fool him. He finds none: her eyes are still closed, breathing still deep and slow. There is no evidence, except his wildly beating heart, that Hange has said anything.

A spike of anger runs through him, once the embarrassment settles down. What four-eyes is even dreaming about? He'd thought that workaholic like her would dream about her beloved titans, or sharing ideas with her no less beloved squad, or, at the very least, about Erwin's boring meetings, but not this- whatever this she is seeing now, with him in the main role, apparently.

What is he doing there, in her dream, he wonders? Is he- does Hange like that he's there, in her dream? He hopes she does; he'd like it a lot, if during one of the few nights that his mind actually allows him to sleep, he saw Hange instead of many-many horrors he suffers through each night.

The distance between her office and bedroom is not large, still - to get from one to another, he has to cross two flight of stairs. He mentally apologises to Hange in advence, for any discomfort he may cause to her.

He also sends a quick prayer that most of the scouts are already fast asleep, and he'll get to his destination without running into someone. Considering his reputation, explaining his current predicament would be quite awkward. And possibly - troublesome.

So Levi remains vigilant, as he crosses the hallway. And when he reaches the stairwell, he takes a breath, presses Hange just a tiniest bit closer to him, and starts his ascent.

It is nice, he thinks, to have Hange so close to him. He rarely allows people in his personal space, but her presence- doesn't feel like intrusion, somehow. It feels comforting, in a way that Levi can't quite understand. But it calms something inside him, quells this... darkness that so often threatens to engulf him.

He feels almost sad, when a door to Hange's bedroom appears before him. He would have loved to hold her for just a little bit longer, but- survey corps' very own genius needs her beauty sleep. And if his thoughts already turn so silly, he probably does too.

Hange's door is not locked (of course, why would it be? Titan-obsessed scientists with glasses that take up half of their faces have no time to spare for such trivialities), and when Levi pushes it open, he's greeted with a mess that makes him involuntary shudder. His hands twitch to fix it - to clean that stain on the floor, to dump that giant pile of clothes into laundry, throw away all the papers that litter every inch of the room.

But it's Hange's place, and they've been over it already - this is a mess that has order to it (at least, according to Hange). He has no right to ruin it.

He navigates between uneven stacks of books and a cluster of dirty mugs to the thing Hange calls her bed. It is unmade, just as Levi expected, and sheets are in dire need of changing, but it can wait, he decides. He'd kick her ass when she wakes up.

Tonight, though, he carefully settles her on a bed, and goes to undo her shoes before tucking her in. He's just in the middle of plucking off her ridiculous glasses, when Hange stirs, latches on his arm, and with a force he would never expect from a sleeping person, brings him closer, until her face is right in front of his.

Levi is not even sure she's awake, but his cheeks heat nevertheless, when her lips momentarily brush against his. She falls back on a pillow with a huff - so pleased that he's really starting to doubt that she's actually sleeping, and then a smile blooms on her face. "Love you," she whispers, before turning on her side and beginning to snore anew.

What just happened, he wonders, eyes open wide and heart stummering frantically. Did Hange just- could that 'love you' be connected to the previous 'ah Levi'? He hopes so, in spite of everything. He wants it to be connected. And, maybe, he'll ask about it - when Hange is wide awake and he'd be filled with enough courage.

For now, though, all he can do is finish tucking Hange in. His gaze softens, as he watches her, asleep so soundly, and in a moment of weakness, he leans in and grazes his lips against her forehead.

It's brief, that almost but not quite kiss, and so light that Hange doesn't even stir. It brings a gentle smile to his lips all the same.

What a weirdo, he thinks, as he casts one last look at her, before he exits the room.

He's so glad that they're weird together.
