But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth #or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather #than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in #a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like #$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make #payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or #something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have #paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone #with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have #to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer #than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them #or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into #why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. Great news for uninsured adults in the USA who want a COVID-19 booster! It now appears that ALL CVS locations are now active participants in the Bridge Access Program. The Bridge Access Program gives out free Covid-19 vaccinations to 18+ adults who otherwise can't afford one, so if you have a CVS near you, please go get one! For others who don't have a CVS near them, please go to vaccines.gov, click on "Find Covid-19 vaccines", fill out which vaccines you prefer (you can mix different vaccines if you have to so i reccomend just marking all of them for the age groups you need), and when the next page loads mark the "Bridge Access Program Participant" option to see only locations that are Bridge Access Program participants. Hopefully, other places that aren't CVS will start participating soon, so just check back every so often to see if there are any updates. The CDC Bridge Access Program website also has more details on what locations will be participating, but only CVS is appearing as an active participant on the vaccines.gov location finder at the moment.

Maybe it's because I grew up without much money but every time I go grocery shopping (I do this online) I feel so fucking wealthy. I'm all like "you know I can save myself so much labour... and buy the apple pie THAT'S ALREADY MADE, haha, such an indulgence!" and "with the click of a button, THEY WILL BRING THE FOOD TO MY HOUSE! So luxurious!"

Last week I bought the kind of instant noodles that come in their own disposeable cups instead of the cheaper kind that you have to provide a bowl for and I'm still riding that high.

#the irony is that the premade apple pie isn't more expensive than making my own #outside of apple harvest time #because it's cheaper for them to make it in a factory and freeze it rather than relying on the seasonal availability of fresh apples #also they can make it out of the worst looking apples and the good parts of damaged apples #whereas the apples they sell fresh have to be the unmarked premium apples #so it isn't even an indulgence my dipshit brain was just calibrated to overvalue pointless labour as a child

Shitty idea for an AC game's modern day segments:

You play as William Miles, and you're re-tracing the steps of Desmond's journey in order to study the various isu artefacts he came into contact with, but also to re-connect with his son.

As you do, you're confronted by the ghosts of the people Bill has fucked over the most:

Clay Kaczmarek: this one's easy, just say that Rebecca was able to [insert techno babble here] and retrieve a copy Clay's code but never meant to actually bring him back due to ethical concers (this was more of an attempt to retrieve just enough of him to give him a proper burial). Bill needs his memories, especially those concerning Desmond and Juno, so he brings him back. Somewhere in between all the verbal abuse he showers upon Bill there's also the information you need.

Lucy Stillman: either she wasn't as dead as we thought and crawled up to some sort of control panel to download her consciousness as a last ditch attempt to stay alive or the temple just does that automatically. Either way, ✨️isu bullshit✨️. She's surprisingly quiet and helpful at first but eventually starts to ask questions about the way Bill treated Clay, Daniel, Desmond... making this about anyone except for her when it is very clear that she's projecting and this is actually all about her.

Desmond Miles: the previous two encounters have given Bill an idea, though it might just be him going old and crazy...

He asks Rebecca and a bunch of other hackers to figure out what's going on with the AC3 temple and lo and behold his personality has indeed been stored in the temple. He recognizes that he should probably be angry with Bill for dragging him back into this mess but right now he's a bit too discombobulated to really feel anything.

Maybe he remembers his time as the reader or maybe this is an entirely new copy. Idk.

We end on some big reveal and the next game will have a new protagonist with Desmond as a digital companion.

#i'm going to be honest i don't like the idea of reviving desmond for 2 reasons #1) it would make his death at the end of ac3 feel even cheaper #2) i don't trust ubisoft to do a better job with him this time around #but if they do bring him back i think it should be as a way to smooth over the transition to a new protagonist #we don't want another layla situation #speaking of she's also here. you can see her digital ghost making out with lucy's in the background of the final scene #assassin's creed #william miles #clay kaczmarek #lucy stillman #desmond miles #layla hassan #luyla? lacy? what are we calling this ship?#oh and #rebecca crane #i think this game should end with her becoming the next mentor #bill is old. let someone else take his place already
