Just think about how chaotic Zoraxis meetings would be.

Hivemind is there and just telling everyone about his bees, which was not in any way what they needed to discuss. The Fabricator is criticising everyone’s outfit other than her own. Solaris does not want to be there and is trying to complain to Zor about the Death Engine being blown up. Juniper is just chatting to people and, trying and failing, to subtly tell them about all his greatest performances. Ollie is not sure what’s going on, but happy to be there anyway. Roxana is slightly terrified but also silently judging all of them and finally Zor is just done with all of them.

Then Agent Phoenix just falls onto the table from a vent in the ceiling half way through.

MY IEYTD HAZBIN HOTEL AU IS FINISHED!

Summary: John Juniper is sick and tired of being forced to perform at the stupid "Hazbin Hotel' every night. Ollie is fearful of voicing his concerns about his bartending job. After all, both men have the same master who goes only by the name Phoenix and is... less than stable. But in the same breath, they have to appreciate the protection in both life and death that Phoenix has provided. Their conflicted worldviews only get worse when Phoenix opens up to them.

And idk if it's moreso a crackship or a rarepair that only works in an AU (HACKS up Starstruck), but Reggie's line of "...and I hope Ollie made it out too. I hope a lot of things." It's totally me reading into it but like,,,,I want them to talk because Ollie is not dead to me in my heart of hearts.

Maybe the only change is like Reggie taps into the communication on the radio in Hot Water instead of using the earpiece, so Ollie ends up hearing him also? And they end up getting along really well (with Reggie having to jump through a couple hoops to be like "haha what agency..."). There's an Agency base in the South-East coast of Australia and maybe the Agency ends up adopting him after he washes up on the shore with the escape pod (after HEAVY questioning).

Spoilers for Level Four of I Expect You to Die 3

Ok, so if you've already done it, cool, if you haven't and just wanna read my post, here's some backstory:

I Expect You to Die is a VR Game series where you're this cool secret agent trying to take down Zoraxis, the Big Bad of the game world, in level four of Cog in the Machine (The third game) one of the agency's employees has gone rogue and is working with Zoraxis, experimenting with Kinesium, a metal used for telekinetic implants in agents brains. In the fourth level you infiltrate an underwater lab where Zoraxis is working behind the back of the rogue employee (Dr. Prism).

Enter Ollie, a Zoraxis Industries employee at the lab who doesn't actually experiment, just send project info to the person whose job you're taking over. The first thing he does and says is turn off poison gas with the line: (roughly) "Venting that gas for you, Zoraxis boarding can be tough :)" Right off the bat he seems like a friendly person, and he is a major help through the level, with lines hinting at things important through background. You eventually learn that he has been waiting 3 days without food for someone to come over and let him leave. He has lines like "I like this one" and "I had orders to incinerate project BURN, ironic, but not helpful." You can see he's just some normal person in a not normal situation.

Some of the most important things are his lines that fully confirm this. There is a massive bomb that goes off, and he comments "I hope they're using that for good." and another line about how he joined Zoraxis to make a change in the world for the better.

He's a good person caught up in an awful, world threatening situation, and he doesn't even know you, but when you send him a cooked fish (cooked at 950 degrees Celcius for two seconds) he immediately takes that as equal value to an actual ID, commenting that you're nicer than any employee he's met.

At some point there is a mind controlled Giant Squid, and he makes a point to say that she's just an animal, being controlled to do bad things. Just like him.

The level ends with him entering an escape pod due to the giant squid doing damage to the facility (and probably the multiple bombs you set off) and that's the last we see of him.

I don't know how much longer Schell Games will make the series, but I'm rooting for his safety.

i need to know, how do ollie and phoenix interact in your head?

Phoenix loves Ollie! Ollie likes to tell stories and talk about his feelings and really talk about anything and Phoenix likes to listen. If they had met growing up, they absolutely would have been inseparable. Bffs for life.

Phoenix is very overprotective of Ollie and being the younger but more assertive of the two, they make sure that Ollie isn't being mistreated and Ollie helps Phoenix in social settings that makes them uncomfortable.

Of course their first meeting wasn't great for either of them but once Phoenix made sure of his safety, Ollie really latched onto them. (Probably doesn't help that they just found out that they had been working for a company that was actively trying to take over the world and would have easily allowed him to starve down there)

Phoenix really takes him under their wing. Even though Ollie is not field agent material, they make themself very useful at the EOD.

I really need Ollie to be okay and happy.

Well, I got into I Expect You To Die (I'm blaming @solobodor for this!!!!!!!! /lh) and I also got inspired to make my own designs for the characters! These are all very first-pass designs (except for phoenix. maybe) and they're definitely all subject to changing. Especially Hivemind and Ollie who I just threw in there so Fabricator and Solaris wouldn't look so lonely.

The Phoenix page in the bottom preceded the line up, but that's the extent of my concepts for them UDSHFSDKJSD I'm not sure if I'll stick with the silhouette style, or if I'll make these guys actual designs ??? Both can exist at the same time, so who knows.

Oh right yeah also the games are really good and fun!
