you and carl had been best friends since the farm. after carl and his group arrived, the two of you had been just.. drawn to each other. you were there for him after he was shot in the side, despite not knowing him. ever since then, the two of you were inseparable. years had passed and you guys were now living in alexandria. after being in that safe space and finally feeling secure, you had more time to tend to your thoughts. one of those thoughts being the new feeling you were getting in your abdomen whenever you were around carl. he could be doing anything, smiling, laughing, whatever. it just made you feel something you had never felt before. something you couldn't describe. but that was challenged shortly after you guys settled into alexandria and carl had told you he had a crush on enid. "hey, can i tell you something?" carl asked, setting down his comic book and looking over at you. you looked up from your own comic and into his baby blue eyes. "yeah, 'course. what's up?" "i... i think i like enid." your heart dropped at his words. "oh." you softly responded, trying to hide how upset you were with a smile. "that's... nice." god, you wanted to explode right there. but you had to be supportive for your best friend, even if you had... some sort of feelings for him. ever since then, you tried your best to pretend you didn't like him. he never got with enid due to ron and her being together, but you didn't want to ruin his moment. you wanted to be there for him. you ignored the tightening feeling in your chest whenever he smiled at you and eventually, you were so caught up in this lie that part of you believed you were over him. sure, you still got those butterflies in your stomach whenever he hugged you, but it couldn't be love anymore, right? well, you were wrong. all of those feelings of love were confirmed after ron had shot him in the eye, which made you realize you couldn't lose him. he came so close to death, and you knew you couldn't live without him. you stayed with him throughout his recovery, and despite him being insecure, he let you stay. i mean, the two of you had been in this situation before back at the farm. you had to be there for him. after a while, carl had recovered, now rocking an eyepatch across his right eye and being able to function properly again through his physical therapy. and you were there with him throughout the entire thing. after carls recovery, the two of you had found an area in the woods for the two of you to have quiet alone time. as friends. just friends, right? today, you couldn't focus. you were so overwhelmed by the knot in your stomach as you watched him read his comics. your eyes went from his hat to his icy blue eye, then his hands, then back into his eye, which was now looking back at you. "are you okay?" he asked, causing you to come back to your senses.
"i.. yeah. i'm good." you awkwardly looked away.
"are you sure? you were staring at me." carl chuckles, setting down his comic book next to him and sitting up to look back at you properly.
"i'm good. perfect, even." you reassured him, but the blush on your face said otherwise.
carl moves closer to you, sitting right in front of you. now, your guys' faces are inches apart from each other.
"you know you can tell me anything, right?" carl softly speaks, smiling down at you as you move your hands up to covered your tomato-like face. he moves his hands up to yours and moves your hands off of your face.
"why're you so nervous?" he rubbed his thumb over your hands as he waited for your answer. you cleared your throat and averted your eyes, which caused him to bring a hand up to your chin and move your face back towards him.
your faces had the slightest gap between each other.
he smirked down at you before closing the gap between you two, kissing you softly.
you were caught off guard, more surprised than ever. your stomach was doing flips as you leaned into the kiss, but after a bit, you moved away.
"wait, but..." your facial expression changed to confused as you processed everything. "you said you liked enid."
"wh.. oh." he averted his eyes. "...would you be mad if i told you i just kinda.. said that to say it?"
"are you serious?!" you yelled. you weren't really angry, and it was apparent in your voice. "theres no way. no. you told me you liked her so confidently. you only didn't get together because of ron, but ron's.. y'know."
"y/n." carl put one of his hands on your shoulder. "i said it because i knew you liked me. and.. i didn't want you to."
"what?"
"i don't like enid. i like you. i was just... i was just nervous that i'd hurt you somehow." he explained.
"i think it hurt more hearing you liked another girl than anything else." you scoffed with a smile.
"i meant, i didn't want to be a jerk or something. i've never dated anyone before, i didn't know what i was doing. i mean, i still don't know what i'm doing, but..."
you cut him off with another quick kiss, moving your hand up to his jawline. you pull away shortly after, smirking at his dumbfounded facial expression and reddened face.
"...did you kiss me just to make me shut up?" he rose his eyebrow with a laugh.
"ha, no..." you rolled your eyes, pulling him in for a tight hug, which he returned shortly after.
he rested his head in the crook of your neck. "i'm glad we don't have to pretend anymore."

𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 | halloween is that special night where you can be anything you want to be... maybe more than the labels everyone else gives you. maybe even more than 'just friends'. (aka, reader has a reputation, eddie's still a virgin, filth ensues)
𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻 | 5.6k
𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 | smut (18+ only, of course), virginity loss, best friends to lovers, slight angst (mostly just hurt/comfort), unprotected sex, creampie, degradation kink (but like, in a loving way?), rough filthy fucknasty sex for no reason at all except that I'm a whore, L-bomb, reader is a candy corn hater (this was hard for me guys ngl), all men being trash except eddie (so, you know, real life)
Tumblr media
“God, I can’t stand these,” you grimaced as you shoved the baggies of candy corn towards him.
“More for meee!” Eddie sang happily as he scooped them all up, cackling to himself as he filled his arms.  He looked especially in character as a pirate in that moment, treating the candy like his treasure.  His costume had actually come together better than you expected: the tight leather pants and boots looked less rocker and more sailor when paired with the flowy white shirt and black eyepatch.
"Will you trade your Sour Patch Kids for my candy cigarettes?" you asked him, getting an incredulous scoff in return.
"No way," he shook his head, "I don't need candy ones, got a couple packs of the real kind in my room."
You frowned.  "Guess the candy economy changed since we were kids, huh?"
He looked up at you, a tender look in his eyes as he smiled.  "Yeah…" he trailed off.
"I'm surprised anybody gave a couple of giant seniors candy for trick-or-treating," you smirked.  "I guess that's the benefit of 'chaperoning' your Hellfire friends."
"Exactly," he beamed.  "And hey, maybe we're a little old for it, but you make for a lovely princess."
You batted your eyelashes playfully, tilting your head with the tiara pinned on top.  "Who, me?  I'm just dressed as a good excuse to repurpose an old homecoming gown."
He laughed, but then seemed to get a bit more serious then (but still happy).  "I'm glad we could do this," he decided.  "Like old times."
"We always spend Halloween together," you reminded him.
"Yeah— I mean this." He motioned to the dumped-out pails of candy on the trailer floor, and you nodded.  "And not just 'cause of the sugar rush."
You smiled softly at him, tilting your head.  "Of course, Eddie."
"Kinda thought you were gonna ditch me this year," he added suddenly, looking down into his lap at the candy he was unwrapping.  "You know… 'cause of that guy."
"Oh, yeah," you sighed, "well… that's over."
Eddie looked up again, his eyes seeming bigger than ever.  "Really?"
"Don't sound so excited," you rolled your eyes, but the sarcasm wasn't enough to hide your heartbreak.
"No— hey, I'm sorry," he offered, scooting closer to you on the floor.  "I know you liked him a lot.  But I know you know I thought he was a total loser."
You shot him a look with a raised brow.  He shrugged.
"Takes one to know one."
"You're not a loser, Eddie," you sighed sympathetically.  "And you were right about him— obviously.  I knew you were, I just… I dunno, I guess I thought I could change him?"
Eddie smirked.  "When has that ever worked?"
"For me?  Never," you scoffed.  "I think guys do change, for the right girl.  And it's just never me."
"That's not fair," he frowned, "it's not your fault that these guys are garbage.  Well— I mean, it's sorta your fault that you keep hooking up with guys that are garbage—"
You slapped him on the arm lightly, and he laughed.
"Am I wrong?" he wondered.
You slumped your shoulders a bit.  "No… but still.  Don't be so mean, I'm moping over here."
"Aw, sweetheart," he pouted, sliding closer again and wrapping his arms around you.  You sighed as you rested your head on his shoulder, shutting your eyes.  Honestly, you were trying not to cry.  Over a guy.  You told yourself you weren't going to do that anymore.  Actually, you told Eddie that you wouldn't do that anymore, after you cried over Tommy Pearson.  And sure, you cried over James Neher since then, but he didn't call you out for it… that showed how messed up you really were over it, that he didn't poke fun at you for it.  Almost nothing was too far with you two, you made fun of him for being a trailer park flunk-out just as much as he poked fun at your… storied dating history.
The one thing you didn't make fun of Eddie for (that much, at least) was his lack of dating history.  As of yet, Eddie was actually still a virgin.
Uh, mostly a virgin… he got a blowjob once after a Corroded Coffin show, and called you first thing after to tell you giddily about how it went.  He was heartbroken, too, when she never called, but he didn't cry— he just started dodging your questions about it until finally fessing up that she totally disappeared.  So you put on one of his favorite movies (The Evil Dead) and wrapped him up in a blanket, and he was over it in a night.
That was a couple months ago, though, and Eddie had had no luck since with losing the remaining half of his virginity.  You hadn't had any trouble finding guys, just in finding those special (potentially imaginary) ones that don't disappear after you put out.
The conversation drifted back to candy and the next Hellfire campaign before it looped back around to relationships again.  It started because of a debate about if gum counted as candy, actually.
"Maybe, like, Juicy Fruit counts," Eddie decided.  "But definitely not just any old spearmint stick."
"I thought you liked spearmint gum!"
"Yeah, but it's not candy!  I like a lot of things that aren't candy!"
You huffed.  "So you're not gonna give me anything for the sticks of Trident?"
"Best I can do is… one Tootsie Roll," he decided, tossing the pathetic little taffy at you as you scoffed.
"Don't insult me," you grimaced as you tossed it back, "I don't want your individually-wrapped waxy chocolate byproduct."
"I'll be honest, I didn't really understand that," he frowned, "but I can tell it was an insult to my beloved Tootsie Rolls."
"They taste like eating a chocolate scented candle!" you announced.
He gasped dramatically and held one of his larger Tootsie Rolls up to his chest, like he was protecting it from your words.  "That's not true, baby," he whispered to the candy, petting it tenderly, "she didn't mean that…"
You laughed at the bizarre display.  "God, you're such a freak," you reminded him.
"And you're a slut," he returned with a wide smile and a tilt of his head.
That was your thing, you'd always say that back to each other, like a nickname.  You started it to try to take the power away from the names everyone else called you two, and it worked: it didn't hurt nearly as much getting called a slut when you could remember the way Eddie said it like a term of endearment.  And he said it was the same for him, even though he pretended like he'd never been bothered by his label.  He did have it worse though… he was the freak, you were just a slut.
"If you don't want the Roll then I guess I'm getting that gum for free," Eddie decided, about to reach for it, but you smacked his hand away.
"No way," you frowned.
"Are you gonna chew it?" he assumed.
"Never," you decided, "but I can find someone who wants it."
"Why won't you chew it yourself?  Still turned off to all gum by that Fred guy?"
"It was Frank," you corrected, "and yeah, he never stopped chewing that stupid Extra.  Even during…"
"Guess he needed a little Extra help in bed," Eddie snorted.
"The sex wasn't that bad, actually," you recalled, "it just… smelled a little too minty fresh."
"Does it normally smell like something else?" he asked.
Your face got a little warm.  "Uh… yeah, kinda."
Eddie wrinkled his brow slightly.  You thought that was the end of it, after a long pause, and you were just about to change the subject when he broke the silence.  "What's it like?"
"The smell?!"
"No, no!  The sex.  What does it feel like?" he asked hesitantly, flipping up his eye patch to look at you properly.
"Well, I dunno— it's hard to describe."
"Everyone says that," he frowned.
"And it would feel different for you anyways," you added.
He nodded.  "Right."
"One guy said that I felt like a warm bath, but like, only on his cock," you remembered, almost laughing at the memory.  It was a weird thing to say, especially in the middle of sex.
Eddie choked.  "O-oh…"
"What?" you tilted your head, confused by his reaction.
"I just— um, I was trying to figure out how it feels in general… I never even… I never thought about how you feel…"
Your face heated up a bit.
"Does every girl feel different?" he realized, leaning in a little closer to listen to your reply.
"That's what I've heard," you shrugged.  "Every guy feels different."
"Different how?  Like, bigger or smaller?"
"Not just that— sometimes you can feel, like, the head and stuff…" you explained, continuing when Eddie looked a little confused, "like, if the head is really big you can feel the edge of it.  Or if he's uncut you can sorta feel that too, in the way he strokes.  And then there's how curved it is…"
Eddie's stare was a little glassy.  "You can feel all that?  Just with your pussy?"
You nodded.
"That's…" he trailed off, clearing his throat.  "Yeah.  Cool."
The way he was clearly flustered by all this made your hips shift against the floor for a second.  You and Eddie had obviously had pretty raunchy conversations before (see the aforementioned post-BJ phone call) and sure, sometimes they kinda turned you on… but this one felt a little different.  Usually if you felt that feeling while talking to him about something it was because you were remembering something you'd done before; this was the first time you were actually imagining something.  Something, specifically, happening with you and Eddie.
"You know…" you started before shaking your head and scoffing.  "Nevermind.  Too weird."
"What?  Nothing's too weird with me," he grinned— one of his teeth was drawn out in black for the costume, and he looked pretty silly.
"I was just… I dunno," you shrugged.  "If I tell you, you won't be, like, offended, right?"
"Well, I guess it depends on how offensive it is."
You sighed.  "Just don't judge me, okay?"
"Never."
"I was thinking, if you wanted, you could… try it out.  With me."
He froze.  "Try… sex?"
He'd dropped his head lower between his shoulders as he said the last word.  You nodded briefly.  "Yeah."
You couldn't even begin to describe the look on his face.  "Well, that's… not offensive."
Already you felt ridiculous, and you shook your head as you started to backtrack.  "I'm sorry if that was a really weird idea, I'm not trying to—"
"No, no!  It's okay," he assured, reaching out towards you for a second but not actually touching you.  "I just… didn't think you would say that. Um. Yeah. So, we would just, like, do it?"
"If you want to."
"I mean, not that you're not— you're gorgeous," he promised, talking over himself, "you know I think so.  But you're my best friend.  Wait— no.  You're gorgeous and you're my best friend.  It won't make stuff weird with us, right?"
You raised an eyebrow.  "Are you gonna make it weird?"
"No more than usual," he smirked.
"Then, no. It wouldn't be weird.  It would just be, like, a friend helping a friend out," you decided, "like how I hadn't tried LSD 'til I met you.  You can try this, with me."
"Yeah, but," he lowered his voice, scooching a little closer, "this is different.  I gave you drugs but you… you're the drug.  It's your body, and you're giving it to me."
You fought the urge to bite your lip.  "Yeah," you agreed, "I don't mind.  Just use me for a bit."
Eddie's throat bobbed as he swallowed, mouth falling open for a second.  "Use you?" he repeated.  "God, why is that hot?"
"'Cause guys are always into that— they wanna feel powerful or whatever," you explained with a snort of a laugh.  "Wanna feel like they're conquering something."
"Heh," he laughed nervously as he reached up to scratch the back of his neck, "are we all so predictable?"
You smiled at him, leaning closer slightly and tilting your head down to look up at him through your lashes.  "I dunno," you teased, "but I'm predicting you're gonna take me up on this."
"Fuck yeah I am," he decided, grabbing your face to pull you closer— but then suddenly stopping.  "Fuck, wait, can I kiss you?"
You blinked quickly.  "Um, yeah," you decided.
For all that bravado before, he hesitated before he did kiss you… and it was actually pretty sweet, and gentle, and way too short.  Yes, it did feel sort of weird knowing you were kissing Eddie, your best friend since 4th grade, but not a bad kind of weird, necessarily.
He was smiling at you already when he pulled back.  "You know you don't have to do all that, right?" you reminded him.
"I-I know.  I'd feel weird about it if I didn't kiss you first, though," he explained.  "And, you know.  Kissing is nice.  Friends can kiss."
"Yeah," you laughed.
"We can, uh, go to the bedroom," he offered.  "Not that it wouldn't be fun to do it on the floor surrounded by our candy quarry— just, uh, not how I pictured my first time."
"Well, either way," you replied as you both stood up, following him across the trailer to the bedroom, "it's not who you pictured your first time with."
"Yeah, well, Joan Jett was busy tonight," he laughed, and you laughed with him, falling onto the bed together with a sigh.  You'd done that a lot before— but sitting up on your side, facing him, starting to touch his chest delicately through his shirt… that was new.
"Do you want me to ride you, or—?" you started to offer.
"No! No," he sighed, "I wanna— like you said, use you, right?  I want you to, uh, lay back, and I can go as fast or as slow as I want."
You smiled a little.  "Okay," you agreed, "but— I should probably take this dress off first."
"Let me help," Eddie offered, even though you didn't actually need any help.  You turned away from him and felt his hands delicately unzip the back of the gown; the ghost of his touch on your spine made you nearly shiver.
Once it was unzipped, you shimmied out of the garment and tossed it aside, leaving you in just your bra and panties (and the tiara, which you'd forgotten about.
You laid back on the bed for him to climb on top of you, which he did, his eyes running all over your body.  "Listen, I know you're already doing me a really big favor," he cleared his throat, "but, uh, maybe… maybe you could show me your tits?"
You grinned and reached under your back to unclasp your bra, hearing him sigh a little at the sight of your bare chest.
"Can I—?"
"Sure," you answered instantly.  Of course, you thought he was about to say touch them, so you gasped in shock when he actually latched his lips onto them, suckling at your nipples eagerly.  "F-fuck, Ed…"
"Wow," he breathed when he pulled back, "they're really sensitive."
“Yeah,” you agreed, deciding not to mention that that wasn’t always the case.  “I can’t help but notice that you’re still in your pirate get-up there, Munson.”
He smirked.  “Unfair, isn’t it?”
Nodding, you watched him sit back on his feet so he could pull his shirt off over his head.  You'd seen him shirtless plenty of times before, but the toned torso with a decent scattering of dark hair and even darker tattoos was always a welcome sight.  He'd gotten even more muscular in the last couple years, something you'd sort of tried not to notice, but you couldn't fight the urge to run your hand over his chest and pecs when they were exposed.
“Is that better?” he grinned, but you laughed loudly right away when you saw one of his teeth was still blacked out for the costume.  He wrinkled his eyebrows before he seemed to remember, looking a bit more shy for a moment.  “R-right, sorry…”
He reached into his mouth and scrubbed the black marks off with the pad of his finger, licking the tooth for good measure before showing his teeth again.
“Back to normal?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you answered, “good as new.”
Your hand was still on his chest, lightly, and he got a little more serious as he took it and guided it down: over his slight abs and down to the thick bulge in his pants.  You sighed a little at the feeling of it through the leather, he was so hard and warm even through the heavy material.
"Damn, you're big," you noticed.
"Really?" he grinned.  "Fuck, okay."
"I should've known you would have a big cock," you laughed, rubbing him a little firmer through the pants, "you've got that way about you."
"Oh?  I didn't— I didn't think it was that big," he mumbled.
You smiled and pulled your hand out of the way as he shimmied the pants down his thighs, exposing his erection that bounced back up to his belly button.  (Yes, it reached that far, and you felt a little dizzy.)
"So," he broke the silence, "that's… that's my dick."
"Y-yeah," you nodded, sounding a little hoarse.
He let you stare at it blankly for a while before clearing his throat, tearing you out of your trance to look up at him; he smirked at you proudly, the smut bastard.  "You're looking at me different now.  You look… well, you're kinda drooling."
"Yeah… sorry…" you murmured absent-mindedly.
"No, don't be," he assured.  "You know, the girl that gave me that blowjob, she could only take it to about here before she choked."
He held his finger up to halfway down his shaft, and your hips shifted.  "I could get it deeper," you announced.
"Oh, you will," he promised, "but not with your mouth— I don't have any use for your mouth, babe.  You promised me your pussy, that's what I want.  And she's gonna take all of it."
"Are you talking dirty to me now?" you noticed.
"It might be dirty, but it's true," he smiled, falling down on top of you and holding himself up with bent elbows beside your head.  "You can still back out, you know," he reminded you.  "No judgment. We'll go back to normal."
"We were never normal, Eddie," you reminded him.
"Right," he grinned, "but still.  Are you sure?"
"Yeah— if you are."
He kissed you again, right when you least expected it.  "Yeah," he whispered when he pulled back slightly.  "I'm sure.  I, uh, think it's about time that I lost it, don't you?"
Nodding in agreement, you reached down and wiggled yourself out of your panties, totally naked under him.  He sighed slowly and looked down for a moment— only to look back up with his lip between his teeth.
"Fuck. Okay. Are you ready?" he asked.
"Are you?" you returned— he looked pretty nervous, shaking a bit, breathing heavy.
"Yeah, fuck, I've been ready for this for years," he laughed breathlessly.  "Just didn't think… yeah, fuck.  Didn't think it would happen tonight."
"Well, if you keep stalling, maybe it won't," you smirked.
"Okay, okay— no more stalling.  I'm gonna… I'm gonna fuck you now."
He sounded like he was convincing himself more than you— but a moment later, he plunged forward and filled you with his cock.
He shivered as he pressed his hips up to yours, moaning weakly.  For a moment, you couldn't help but bite your lip at the feeling of him buried all the way inside you, but thankfully he didn't notice: his eyes were shut tight and his head tossed back.
You sat up, barely, just enough to put your lips by his ear.  "You're not a virgin anymore, Eddie," you whispered to him.
He sighed, then laughed slightly.  "I guess not."
"How's it feel to be inside a pussy?" you asked, genuinely curious for his reaction.  "Compared to a blowjob."
"God, it's— it's so much better," he panted.
"Really?  Some guys really seem to prefer getting blown even though it's not nearly as fun for—"
"No, fuck, this is better," he insisted quickly.  "Your… your pussy feels so— and it's— fuck, so warm, warmer than a mouth.  And… and really tight— god, it's so… squishy?"
You laughed.  "That's not a very sexy way of describing it."
"W-well, sorry," he laughed too, breathlessly, "that's how it feels.  You're— thank you for, uh, letting me do this."
"Yeah," you agreed with a smile, relaxing into the mattress under you and noticing the way he was staring down at your face.
"I can move, right?"
You nodded; he shuddered a little as he pulled his hips back and pushed forward again.  He caught you watching his face, so you shut your eyes quickly and just focused on the feeling.  It had actually been a while since you had a hook-up, and though you didn’t expect this to last very long, you could at least just enjoy it for now.
"Fuck," he breathed, "it's so… sticky.  Fuck."
“Sticky?” you repeated.
“I-in a good way,” he added quickly.  “God, I just… you’re really wet, s’all.”
Eyes still closed, you felt a smile trying to creep up on your face.  You could tell he wanted to know why you were so wet, specifically he wanted you to say that he made you that way, but you decided his ego was already getting enough stroking for the night.
His breathing was heavy and slow, but the pace of his hips picked up.  When you blinked your eyes open, he was staring down at where he was fucking into you; that made you feel a little exposed, but oddly powerful, too.  "Wow," he groaned, "I— I love watching it.  The way it, like… splits open, around my cock… fuck.  That's really sexy."
His next thrust was a little harder, his hips colliding with the back of your thighs as you wrapped your legs around him.
"Mm," you moaned softly, adjusting yourself under him a bit.  "That's nice— you feel good."
"Really?  Fuck, I couldn't feel half as good as you do," he grunted, "'cause if I did you wouldn't be able to be so quiet."
"I'm just listening to you," you explained with a smirk.
"Can you feel the, uh, head?  Like you said before?"
You nodded.  "It's rubbing this one place inside me— it feels good."
"Oh, fuck," he purred, starting to move faster.  "Tell me that again."
"It feels good, Eddie," you groaned, "you feel good."
"Fu-uck," he whined, shutting his eyes tight and tilting his head back.  "How good?"
You knew he could be a little competitive, and you smirked slightly.  "Better than the other guys," you answered, figuring that was what he wanted to hear.
"Do you— fuck— do you let a lotta guys do this?" he asked roughly.  "Just— use you, to come?"
You shook your head.  "No— I need something from them, they have to make me come.  But you don't have to, Eddie, I don't need you to do anything to me except whatever you want."
"God," he choked, "that's— fuck. you're way too nice.  I-I’m gonna— fuck, I don’t think I can last very long.”
You just smiled and reached up to hold onto his shoulder.  “S’fine, you can come— I want you to.”
“Really?” he whined.  “Fuck, I’m not very good at this, am I?”
“Just come,” you encouraged, “it’s okay, Eddie, just come inside me—”
The second you said that, he groaned weakly, head falling onto your shoulder; you felt it a second later as he gave you a few more weak thrusts, the flexing of his cock as he finished inside.  Sighing in satisfaction, you shut your eyes and wrapped your arms around him tightly.
After a long silence, with his heavy breathing falling on your ear, Eddie rolled off and onto his back beside you on the mattress.  “You look different,” you giggled as you turned to look at him while he stared up at the ceiling.
“I feel different,” he agreed.  “That was— yeah.  That was different.”
“Good different?”
He looked back at you, finally, with raised eyebrows.  “Are you jok— yeah!  Fuck yeah, that was— Christ.”
There was another long silence, maybe a few minutes’ worth, but it wasn’t uncomfortable at all.  You and Eddie were always pretty good at silences.  This one was heavier, and more meaningful, but just as natural as usual: until he broke it.
“Wanna do it again?” he asked softly.
Your eyes widened.  “Uh— fuck, now?”
“Yeah,” he grinned at you.  “I’m still— maybe this time you could actually— you know, uh—”
You bit your lip as he stammered over a few different sentences.
“Or if that’s all you wanna do, you know, with me, that’s fine,” he promised, “but, um… I feel bad, you know, that you didn’t…”
“Okay, yeah,” you agreed quickly, “I mean, if you can still—”
You hadn’t even finished your sentence before he was inside you again.  Moaning louder, you tilted your head back and held onto his sides as he fucked you; his mouth latched onto your neck and you let out a small whimper.  “Fuck,” he mumbled against your skin, “fuck— you feel so good…”
“I— Eddie, I didn’t think you could—” you began.
“I didn’t think I could either,” he laughed, “but it’s just— fuck, you’re so… I just need to— god…”
His thrusts were harder and faster than they’d been before, and everything was so slick with his come still leaking out of you; it was filthy in the best way.
“I didn’t think you’d let me do it twice.  I… I really don’t deserve this,” he insisted quietly.
"Yeah, you do," you breathed.  "You're so sweet, Eddie, you're my best friend— dunno what I'd do without you—"
"I lied," he blurted out suddenly.  "I thought about it before.  About how you would feel."
You barely even remembered the part of the conversation he was talking about.
"All the time, god, I thought about it all the time," he admitted with a lowered voice, resting his head on your shoulder, fucking you even deeper until your eyes rolled back.  "Thought about it while I jerked myself off— how your pussy would feel.  And it's so much better than I thought it'd be.  You're really tight— I didn't know if you would be, 'cause, y'know, you're a slut."
You wanted to correct him on that old myth about tightness and promiscuity, but you were too busy trying not to moan so loud the next door trailers would hear.
"Fuck," he laughed, "you got even tighter when I called you that.  Slut."
"Freak," you choked out through a moan, your instinctive response.
"You haven't seen the freak yet, princess," he smirked proudly, lifting his head up to look down at you.  "I wanted to fuck you different than this, too— I thought about fucking you from behind.  Smacking your ass and watching it bounce on me.  Making you fucking scream."
"God, Eddie," you whined.
"Is this how they talk to you?  All those guys you let put their cocks in you, do they treat you like this?"
"N-not exactly…"
"Well, that's too bad," he whispered, "'cause I can tell this is how you like it.  Am I wrong?  Do you like being fucked like a whore, and called one?"
"Yes," you sobbed, "yes, Eddie, I… I like it rough.  And mean."
He chuckled.  "That explains a lot.  I can be mean, sweetheart."
The kiss he planted on your cheek, though, was gentle and delicate.
"Or I can be nice," he added in a whisper.  "I can be whatever you want."
“Just… be yourself,” you decided, sounding more like an inspirational poster than you intended to.  He smiled and kissed you on the lips after that, reaching down to hold onto your thighs.
Well, it turns out Eddie ‘being himself’ in bed means fucking you mercilessly.  And he was holding onto you mainly to keep you steady so he could rail you halfway to fucking death.
It was useless trying to keep quiet now, while he treated you this way, and so your loud moans were muffled only by his lips on yours; until, of course, he broke away and you could hear them echoing around the messy bedroom.
"So good," he grunted, "so— so fucking good.  Such a perfect pussy, can't believe you're letting me use it.  I'm so fucking lucky— my best friend is a hot slut, I'm so lucky—"
You arched your back a little deeper still, clinging to him tightly, feeling totally helpless in the best possible way.
"Gonna let me use this pussy again?" he taunted.
"Yeah," you breathed.
"Whenever I want, right?  You can be my little toy, baby.  Your pussy can be my toy."
"Yes!"
"And I'll keep you so full of come," he promised, "so full, all the fucking time, you're gonna make my cock feel so good— fuck, baby, you're gonna let me get my cock wet all the time."
"Yeah, Eddie, fuck," you moaned.
"You're so pretty," he blurted out, and you almost laughed because of the sudden change of tone.  "God, baby, you're so pretty— you look so pretty like this."
"On my back?" you smirked.
"N-no, you don't understand," he whined, leaning down so his chest was pressed to yours, whispering against your ear.  "You're beautiful."
You smiled a little, holding onto him tighter.
"And I thought that before you let me fuck you," he promised.  "I always thought you were beautiful.  And that it should be me and not those guys you go home with."
"Y-you were right," you admitted, "but— we're still just… just friends, right?"
"Shut up, you're not fucking listening," he groaned, "I— god, I love you, okay?"
Your eyes were definitely just watering because of the intensity of it all; you hid your face in his shoulder, biting your lip, feeling your toes curl just above where your ankles were crossed around his hips.
"I love you and we can't just be friends anymore.  You feel too good… I'm sorry, baby, we can't just be friends, I fucking need you."
“I— fuck, Eddie,” you whined.
“You love me too, right?” he breathed.  Shyly, you nodded against him.  “Then say it— baby, please, I need you to say it.”
“I love you too,” you choked out.  “I need you too—”
"Oh my god I'm gonna come again," he gasped, tilting his head back.  "Fuck fuck fuck, I'm gonna come inside you again.  You're gonna be so full, baby.  Gonna fuck you so full…"
“F-fuck, please, please,” you sobbed, your beaten walls clenching up every time he slammed himself into you all the way— it was too deep, but the right amount of too deep, somehow.  “Please, Eddie, fuck!”
“I’m coming,” he grunted in a low and gravelly voice that made your spine tingle, “I— fuck, I’m coming again, fuck—”
This time, he stopped completely and suddenly, burying himself inside you with a long, deep moan.  He slipped his arms under your arched back and hugged you tightly.  This silence was much longer than the last, and a little less comfortable; there were all these questions hanging in it, including but not limited to: did he really mean all that?  Did I really mean all that?  Why haven’t we been doing this the whole time?  Why is he so good at that?  Are we dating now?  Is this going to ruin everything?
It didn’t seem like it would ruin anything— actually, to you, everything felt right in a way it never had.  You’d never really admitted to yourself how you felt about Eddie, let alone anyone else— let alone him, right now, in the middle of some spontaneous sex that you thought was going to change everything but actually made things suspiciously the same as ever.
That was what you realized, then: that this hadn’t actually changed anything.  You’d loved him before tonight.  You’d wanted this for a while.  You’d needed him as long as you could remember.  Everything could continue on as normal— except, hopefully, and presumably, that you’d be fucking a lot more.
As your mind raced, Eddie’s was completely and totally blank in a way it never had been in his life.  He was entirely blissed out, and only came to when you shifted under him and made him hiss in a breath through his teeth.
Lifting his head, he looked down at you, reaching up to pet your cheek with his thumb and hum happily to himself.  That moment couldn’t last too long, though, especially when he realized he’d failed at his goal: “Shit,” he groaned, “you didn’t come that time either, did you?”
You shook your head sheepishly, about to assure him that it was fine— there’d be other chances, clearly, and tonight was already more than perfect without that.  He’d still done way better than you could’ve ever expected for a guy who was a virgin half an hour ago.
But before you could say any of that, he’d pulled you into a lazy, yet hungry, kiss; he smiled against your lips as his tongue carefully teased yours, holding your face in his hands.  You were totally dazed when he pulled away, blinking up at him with totally undeserved innocence, and he had the most devilish look in his eyes.  “Guess that means we’ll have to go for another round, huh?” he asked.  But it wasn’t a question: he’d decided, and so had you.

🥺👉👈 As someone who is very much a Bowser enjoyer could you, perchance, write a fluffy Bowser x Reader? For a prompt... maybe the Reader finds him asleep and takes the opportunity to get closer to him? Or, something of the cuddling variety? Reader can be gender neutral- it don't mattah too much to me.
Tumblr media
Cuddle Bug
bowser x gn!reader
It’s tiring running a growing kingdom. So many things can and have gone so wrong to the point where Bowser has to physically step in and fix it himself; which leads to a lot of complaining and ‘I have to do everything myself’s.
So it’s not uncommon to find his royal highness taking an afternoon nap in his room, which he always argues that he isn’t and is just ‘thinking of new war strategies’. The snoring that can be heard through the door doesn’t help his case.
Today though, once you’ve figured that the castle can be without its leaders for a few hours, you decided to join him for a quick snooze.
You find him in his giant bed, knocked out on his stomach with one arm cradling his head and without his sharp accessories, after bugging him so many times about how unsafe it is to sleep with them on.
“you could poke an eye out in your sleep.”
“I’d look so much cooler with an eyepatch.”
Once you’ve kicked your shoes off, you slowly move under the covers and make yourself comfortable. You look over at the sleeping turtle to make sure you haven’t disturbed his slumber and flop down on a pillow.
You weren’t expecting an arm to wrap around your middle and pull you from your spot. You can practically feel the expression on his face as Bowser moves you closer to him.
“Why would you do that,” you try to pinch the offending arm, “I just got comfortable.”
The king of Koopas opens his ember eyes and gives you a boyish smirk as he leans into his side, using the arm he had under his head to prop himself up.
You try to sit up as if to leave, which only makes him hold onto you tighter.
“Are you saying you don’t feel comfort in the arms of your favorite king?” All that gets him is a playful eye roll.
"Well, I wouldn't say favorite- ACK!" Mr. Comedian moves and puts a small fraction of his weight on you, and while isn't much still manages to knock the wind out of you; You feel his chest rumble as he chuckles.
Bowser takes the chance to flip you both over, with you straddling his chest and him on his back, "don't have to lie, I already know I am."
"Mhm." no use arguing against something that's true.
He brings a clawed palm up to your face, caressing your cheek with his thumb. Soaking in his warmth, you nuzzle into him and hold a hand over his own.
The look in his eyes is so full of love and awestruck that it nearly has you melting into him; as if he didn't believe that you were there with him.
He lives for moments like these, just you and him in each other's presence with no disturbances. It's in moments like these that he lets his walls down completely with you, more so than he already does. He wishes he could spend all his days just like this, with you by his side.
For now, though, he's enjoying this moment for as long as he can.
knock, knock
“uhh, your majesties?”
“ASK KAMEK!”

You knew how important this job was. You knew this was the only way to support your family.
At first, having the prince constantly compliment you and eye you up and down gave you great confidence in yourself. No man had ever had such an intense interest in you, so to have a prince have an interest felt amazing. But you quickly started to regret ever feeling special being treated this way.
You failed to realize how forceful and barbaric the young prince could be. You had heard the rumors of course, but he seemed so nice to you. But from behind closed doors, the prince subjected you to such painful actions. You so desperately wanted to tell someone, but you knew such slanderous accusations, true or not, would be asking to be beheaded for treason. So you stayed silent, discreetly taking the teas prescribed and trying your best to avoid the prince at all costs. Although, you couldn’t hide or refuse when he started to order you to his chambers.
Despite being well paid for your work, you started to feel like it wasn’t even worth it. How much longer could you take prince Aegon’s torture while maintaining your sanity? You wondered how much trouble you’d be in if Aegon ever started to get bored of you, or if you started to refuse him. Surely, a man like him, he’d paint himself in the best light and make you out to be the villain. You didn’t have any good options.
There came a point when you realized your dalliances with the prince were not as big of a secret as you previously thought. You knew his wife knew, she had walked in on you and him one night. It was so humiliating, but you still felt worse for her. She was so innocent, she didn’t deserve a husband like Aegon. And you knew the younger prince, Aemond, knew.
You were serving the family’s dinner one night. You felt sick to your stomach as Aegon smirked darkly at you as you set a plate down in front of him, but you just tried to avoid eye contact. As you went to pull away after setting down a plate in front of Aemond, he gently grabbed your forearm to keep you in place. You looked at him in shock for a brief moment before looking around the table to see if anyone was looking at the two of you, but everyone was preoccupied with their dinner.
You winced quietly as Aemond lifted up your sleeve, revealing a large bruise almost in the shape of a hand. You heard him let out a hum of disapproval, and for a moment you feared he would berate you, but all he did was let go of your arm and waved you off.
Later that night as you were getting ready for bed, a soft knock on your door shocked you out of your nightly habits. You smiled as you opened the door to greet one of your fellow servant girls. “From the young Prince, miss.” She said, handed you a bowl of cold water with a rag hanging off the side, passing you a note along with it.
You set the bowl on your bedside and read the note.
For your bruise - Aemond.
You felt a blush rise to your cheeks, setting down the note on your pillow as you situated the cold compress on your forearm, feeling the swelling of your bruise already go down slightly. You didn’t really know prince Aemond, he was a mystery to most, especially you. He was prone to violence, quiet but blunt, and not the nicest, his eyepatch making him even more intimidating. So why was he being nice to you? Perhaps he knew what his brother was and he took pity on you. Either way, you were grateful and made a mental note to thank him the next time you saw him.
The next morning at breakfast, you served prince Aemond with a note placed under his plate that simply said, thank you. You could see the side of his mouth tick up in a small small that no one would notice if they weren’t paying attention, but you were.
The joy you felt that morning quickly disappeared once prince Aegon called you to his chambers that night. You felt disgusting, only useful when the future king needed to get off. You hated everything. You felt the tears fall down your cheeks copiously as you limped back to your quarters slowly, trying to hold them in but failing miserably. Your vision was so blurry that you didn’t even notice a figure walking up to you until they called out your name. You blinked out your tears and silently gasped. “Prince Aemond.” You bowed, your face heating up in embarrassment.
Aemond placed his hand underneath your chin, gently lifting your face up to look at him. “Did my brother do this to you?” He asked lowly, his face expressionless and unmoving as he awaited your answer. But you had no idea if you could speak the truth, would the young prince kill you on the spot if you slandered the older prince’s name? Seeing your hesitation, Aemond got his answer. He pulled his hand away, only to stand by your side with a hand on your shoulder. “Come.”
You had no strength to refuse, following Aemond to his chambers with trembling hands.
Aemond sat you down in one of his chairs as soon as you entered his room, watching as he retrieved a bowl not too dissimilar from the one he sent to your room last night. Taking a seat right in front of you, he squeezed out excess water from a rag and went to bring it up to where you had a small cut on your face but you quickly flinched away. Aemond frowned, leaning back slightly before taking one of your shaking hands in his. “I’m not going to hurt you, I promise. I’m not my brother.” Even though you didn’t really know him as a person, nothing told you that he was lying. The look in his eye said he was telling the truth.
You didn’t flinch this time as Aemond cleaned your wounds, keeping a steady and gentle hand and never hurt you, just like he promised. His hands soothed over every cut, scrape, and bruise, making sure to check in with you every once in a while to make sure you were okay. He was…sweet, much to your surprise. Despite his hands being rough and calloused from years of training and dragon riding, you liked the way they felt on your skin. They were precise in their care, sometimes lightly running over you in a way that would cause goosebumps to rise all over your body.
You watched him with a curiosity that never ceased even when he stopped to look back at you. Your eyes trained on his hand that reached up to slowly wipe a fallen tear off your cheek, his thumb lingering there until he seemed to catch himself and quickly pulled away. “I…I don’t understand.” You whispered, adding, “my prince.”
“You don’t need to. Allow me to walk you back to your chambers.”
“Oh, you don’t have-”
“I insist.” He took your hand to help you out of the chair, gesturing towards his door and leading you down the long halls of the castle down to the servants’ quarters.
You looked back at the prince nervously, biting your lip before finally speaking. “Thank you, my prince.” You bowed, smiling weakly before entering your bedroom, releasing a shaky exhale as soon as you closed the door.
You didn’t know what the next couple days would be like, but you certainly weren’t expecting prince Aegon to be avoiding you. Typically, he would always seek you out in a crowd or subtly slap your ass when serving the family dinners or breakfasts. But now, if he even saw you he’d go out of his way to avoid you, like he was scared of you. The prince, possibly future king, was afraid of you? That couldn’t be right, you refused to believe so. But then you realized he wasn’t, he was afraid of someone else. His own brother.
It was a “blink and you’ll miss it” moment. You didn’t notice it at first, but you finally did one morning. You caught Aemond glaring at Aegon as you served him, as if he was mentally plunging daggers into the older sibling’s chest. Usually, Aegon would call you to his chambers every night, but he suddenly stopped after that night Aemond tended to your injuries. It didn’t take long to piece two and two together, but why? You were just a servant girl, nobody but someone to serve the Targaryens.
Aemond didn’t understand it either. He wasn’t one to be infatuated with someone, especially not someone as low as a servant. But you had caught his eye as soon as you started working for them. It had been a couple years after losing his eye, and everyone was frightful at the sight of him. People would look away in disgust or look down on him in pity. All the girls would be squeamish, so he started wearing the eyepatch. But not once did you ever look at him in pity or disgust, you were always nice to him. Even when you had seen him without his eyepatch one day, you smiled at him. A genuine smile. He never forgot the feeling in his stomach once he saw your smile, especially since it was directed at him. He knew he’d never be able to pursue an actual relationship with someone like you when he was in a family like his. So he settled for watching you from afar.
Then you caught the eye of his brother.
Aegon being Aegon, he always bragged about his conquests to Aemond, trying to make him as uncomfortable as possible, but it was different once he started bragging about the things he’d do to you every night. Sometimes Aemond thought about slitting his throat, he’d get rid of his competition for the throne and you at once. But of course he couldn’t do that without getting himself killed as well. All this time, he thought whatever happened between you and Aegon was always consensual, but you coming from his chambers in tears that night immediately proved him wrong. He couldn’t just let his brother disrespect you any longer, not on his watch. So he threatened to push Aegon out of the very window that he used to jerk off on, making sure he never even thought about touching you ever again. Thus, the matter was settled.
You wanted to thank Aemond, but didn’t know how or if anything would be enough to express your gratitude. Though, the younger prince did have a few ideas. Soon you started to notice the prince’s presence wherever you went. Sometimes, you’d run into each other in the halls of the castle and he’d always use the excuse that he just wanted to go for a walk, then he’d try to strike up a conversation if you weren’t busy. Other times you’d be working in the Godswood and Aemond would sit nearby reading a book, pretending that he wasn’t staring at you every five seconds.
As the weeks went one, he started to invite you to watch him train or help him with his injuries if he ever managed to get one. It became normal for him to be around all the time, even standing around in the kitchens sometimes whenever you were helping prepare the meals, unknowingly distracting you constantly. But it was nice, and you weren’t surprised when you realized you had started to fall for him. You enjoyed his company, but your feelings also came with a bitter aftertaste. You knew he could never be with a servant, no matter how much authority he had as a prince. It saddened you.
But that never was going to stop Aemond from taking what he wanted.
It was the middle of the night when someone informed you that the prince wanted to see you in his chambers. Even if you didn’t want you, you would have no choice but to obey. But you wanted to, so badly, no matter how much it reminded you of all the times prince Aegon would call you to his room.
The door opened as soon as you knocked, prince Aemond’s face softly smiling down at you and ushering you in. “You wanted to see me, my prince?” You asked.
“Yes.” He let out an exhale, one might say it was nervous, but you couldn’t tell.
“Are you going to tell me why?” You giggled, but stopped once Aemond took a few steps closer to you with an intense look in his eyes, looking you up and down.
“I must admit, ever since you came to serve us all those years ago, I’ve had my eye on you. And I believe you know that, I’ve not been subtle I’m afraid.”
“It would be hard not to notice a prince staring at you every day, especially one as handsome as you.”
Aemond chuckled, closing the gap between you even more, rubbing a hand down your sleeve covered arm. “I was jealous of my brother, that he had you. But it angered me even more that he was hurting you. I couldn’t let him continue.”
You frowned, avoiding his eye trained on you. “I knew what you did for me. I apologize, I did not know how to thank you. But I am and will always be so grateful.”
He shook his head. “You have no need to apologize, my dear. I had only wished I knew sooner, but you’re okay now, with me. That’s all that matters.”
“With you?”
“I’ve always wanted you, even though it would be discouraged. I don’t care. Even just for one night, I want you. If you’d have me. I would not force you. Like I told you all those nights ago, I’m not like my brother.”
“And I believed you then, I still believe you now.” You whispered, placing a hand on his chest hesitantly; he seemed so much like a heavenly being, you were almost afraid you’d turn to gold if you touched him, but alas, you were still okay.
“Is that a yes?” Aemond placed his hand on top of yours with a small smile, you could feel his heart pounding in his chest, his eye staring down at you intensely.
“Yes.” You breathed, your eyes almost drooping shut, lifting yourself up on your tiptoes as Aemond leaned down to connect your lips with his.
You moaned at the intensity of the kiss, so much time with pent up longing for each other pouring itself out in this kiss. Aemond cradled your cheek in his hand, while the other held onto your hip, pulling you to him as close as possible. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, snaking your fingers through his long white hair, hitting the back of his eyepatch. Noticing your roadblock, he reached back and undid his eyepatch, letting it fall to the floor.
You smiled up at him as you took in all his facial features, the scar running along the left side of his face making him even more handsome than you thought possible. You ran your hands down his torso, tugging at the ends of his shirt and helping him remove it. You admired his skin, your fingers tracing every part of it as he reached behind you to undo the laces on the back of your dress. He leaned down to kiss every new part of exposed skin as he slowly pulled your dress off your body. Your nipples hardened as Aemond gently ran his thumb over each one, licking his lips before leaning down to take one in his mouth.
You sighed out as Aemond suckled and gently nipped at the sensitive flesh, giving each one equal attention as you pulled at the roots of his hair. He leaned back up to continue kissing you passionately, slowly back you up until you hit the end of his bed. He kissed you until he made you sit down, instructing you to lie on your back as he stood in between your legs.
You pushed yourself up on your elbows to look down at Aemond curiously, only to find him getting on his knees and sloppily kissing up your inner thighs. “I bet my life my idiot brother never did this to you.” Before you could understand his meaning, you gasped as Aemond licked up your folds. He did that a few more times before he placed your thighs on his shoulders, pulling you to the very end of the bed so he could have a better angle, feeling his heavy breaths on your core could have driven you wild.
“Aemond-!” You whimpered as you felt his tongue explore you, his saliva mixing with your arousal and fixating on your clit, eliciting a moan from you. “Oh gods…” You had never felt such pleasure like this, it was otherworldly and you couldn’t believe it was your prince Aemond making you feel this way. You let out a squeak as he slowly pushed a finger into your cunt, then added another to make sure you were ready to accommodate him. Your eyes rolled to the back of your head as he sucked on your clit, your thighs clenched around his head and your hands gripping onto the sheets for dear life as you were at the mercy of your handsome prince. “Feels so good.” You stuttered, biting your lip to try and keep loud moans in.
“And you taste so good, like honeysuckle.” Aemond moaned, looking up at you with an intense gaze, keeping eye contact as he pleasured you. “Do you think you’re ready for me, my dear?” He asked with panting breaths, standing up and undoing his trousers, slowly rubbing himself as you opened your legs further for him.
“Please…” You whined, your cunt dripping and aching for him to be inside you. It was the most primal thing you’ve ever felt, this need to be filled. His touch was intoxicating, like the finest wine.
You scooched yourself back until you hit the headboard, Aemond crawling on top of you with a hunger in his eye. “If it ever gets to be too much, tell me and we can stop.” He assured, giving you a quick peck on the lips before reaching down to bring his cock to your core. You keened as he ran his tip up and down your folds, gathering your slick and swirling it around your clit for a few seconds before he finally lined himself up with your entrance. He looked you in the eyes to make sure you were okay before slowly sinking himself into you.
You held onto Aemond’s shoulders tightly, moaning breathily as his cock stretched you out, so big you were almost afraid he would break you in half. He let out a soft growl as he felt your warm walls clench around him tightly, slowly bottoming out and hitting the ends of you. You whimpered from the sting of the stretch, but it felt so right at the same time. “Fuck, my dear, you feel absoultely heavenly.” Aemond groaned, leaning down to connect his lips with yours as he gently grinded against you, waiting for you to relax enough for him to move.
Even the smallest movements had you panting and whining, you were so sensitive already. Aemond’s hands traveled all over you, mapping out your body and making note of every area that had you gasping in pleasure. You arched up against him as he licked up your neck, your eyes fluttering closed when he started to nip and suck on your soft skin. “Are you ready for me to move, darling?” He whispered in your ear, and you nodded vigorously.
You cried out as he pulled out and thrusted back into you harshly, the sudden movement lighting a spark in your core and reverberated throughout your entire body. Aemond held onto your sides as he set a gentle pace, not too slow or fast. Each thrust, the tip of his cock hit that special spot inside you that brought tears to your eyes, your nails digging into the skin of his shoulders where you were holding onto him. He grunted loudly as he felt the sting of his skin breaking, that pain only adding to the pleasure he already felt. “Feels so amazing, my prince.” You moaned, the world around you falling away until Aemond was the only thing you felt.
“Yeah? Has anyone else made you feel this good before, hm?”
“No, no one else. Only you.” You answered as best you could, the pleasure overriding your senses and making it hard to do anything else much less talk, your words coming out mumbled and incoherent.
Aemond moaned loudly as he thrusted into you faster, sitting up on his knees and holding onto your hips with a bruising grip, watching your breasts bounce with every harsh rut into your soaked pussy. He smirked as he watched you lose yourself in the pleasure unabashedly, unable to silence your moans, the room being filled with the sounds of your intimate union.
You felt so close to your release, Aemond hitting all the right places over and over again; and he could sense it too, your walls clenching around him rhythmically and your moans getting louder and drawn out. “Are you close, my dear? Are you going to come for your prince?” Aemond spoke huskily, reaching down to rub your throbbing clit with his thumb.
You let out a high pitched whine, nodding and repeatedly saying yes like a chant.
“Say my name.” He ordered, so close to his release as well.
“Aemond!” You moaned, tears pouring out of your eyes as you felt the quick build up of your orgasm, on the cusp, so close to the edge ready to tip over. “Oh gods, Aemond-!” You let out a strangled cry as a white hot burning intensity washed over you, traveling through your body and making your muscles clench. Your vision went black as you reached the peak of your climax, Aemond continuing to thrust into you as you rode out your earth shattering orgasm and he was right behind you.
Aemond let out a guttural moan as he finally came, releasing his warm seed into you, thrusting into you even after your walls drained him. He stilled and you were finally able to catch your breath, your vision returning to normal and looking back up at Aemond. It was a beautiful sight, his hair was a mess, a thin sheen of sweat coating his body making him shine, and his blissed out expression with a small smile on his face.
Aemond pulled out and laid beside you, reaching over and moving a piece of your hair out of your face tenderly. “You’re so beautiful. This is one of the only moments where I wished I had both of my eyes so I could take you in properly.” He spoke softly, his words causing your face to heat up with a blush.
“You’re perfect just the way you are, my prince.”
“We are alone, you don’t have to address me like that.”
You smirked. “Of course…my prince.” Aemond let out a short laugh, shushing you as he pulled you closer to him, letting your head rest of his chest. “I think I should go…”
“No, no…” Aemond quickly whispered. “Stay.” He tightened his grip on you.
“But what if I get caught in here?”
“Shh, don’t worry. I’m the prince, remember? I could keep you in here for all eternity and nobody would be able to do anything.”
“That sounds boring.”
Aemond pushed you on your back, hovering over you with a smirk. “Well, I’m sure I could find ways to quell your boredom.” He teased, kissing you passionately until you pushed him away with a giggle, then trying not to frown as your thoughts ran rampant.
“I’m just a servant girl, Aemond.” You sighed, avoiding his eye in shame. “One day you’re going to marry another princess and you’ll forget all about me.”
“I don’t want a princess, I don’t give a shit about that. I only want you, and I’ll kill anyone who tries to get in our way. You believe me, don’t you?”
You smiled softly. “I do.”
Aemond mirrored your smile, opening his arms to you once more. “Good. Now let’s sleep. Tomorrow, I’m going to introduce you to Vhagar.”

— AEMOND TARGARYEN NSFW ALPHABET
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOTES — i’m sure this has been done but i personally haven’t read one for aemond so here we are :) this is completely canon aemond (as in non au aem) and if not it’s specified
WARNINGS — 18+ nsfw content, fem!reader, not proofread, mentions of canon typical incest
join my taglist or follow @rodrickhefley to see when i post
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (what they’re like after sex)
doesn’t really know what aftercare is but is so in love with you he’ll do anything you ask of him. whether it be run you a bath or just hold you for a while he doesn’t mind either way.
B = Body part (their favorite body part of theirs and also their partner’s)
idk if this counts as a body part exactly but his hair. aemond doesn’t love his appearance but his hair is something that he’s truly proud of and he loves it! but he loves your smile and your tits. he loves making sly little comments to see your smile and the feeling he gets when he sees a necklace he’d gifted you resting just above your cleavage is unexplainable
C = Cum (anything to do with cum, basically)
loves it when you cum all over his face. he’ll eat you out for hours on end just to have your cum smeared all over the lower half of his face
D = Dirty secret (pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
like the nasty mf he is, he’s fantasized of sharing you with someone else. whether that be aegon, jace or even daemon he just loves the idea taking you apart like that and knowing that at the end of the day you’re all his
E = Experience (how experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
not very experienced. after the, incident, with aegon when he was younger he vowed to save himself for whomever he married. he was happy to have his firsts (or most of) with you. it was worth the wait in his mind
F = Favorite position ( goes without saying)
whenever you’re riding him. he loves the easy access to your clit and your tits, groping and sucking on them any chance he gets
G = Goofy (are they more serious in the moment? are they humorous? etc.)
if we’re talking canon aemond, he’s very serious. he takes it as a way to show his love but also his dominance in a way. but if we’re talking modern!aemond, he’s mostly goofy. he just loves fucking you no matter what the circumstances are
H = Hair (how well groomed are they? does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
not groomed well at all, he’s got a full on bush
I = Intimacy (how are they during the moment? the romantic aspect)
it depends on the circumstances. if he were jealous, it’s all teeth clashing and hips snapping against yours but if it were your wedding night for instance, he’s slow and loving and sweet
J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
never did it much, he didn’t see the appeal. he wasn’t usually attracted to any of the women he’d see around but once he met you it was like he couldn’t catch up on all those years that he’d missed before meeting you
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
choking is one of his big ones. and size kink is another
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
in the shadows in the hallways, he loves the thrill he gets knowing you could get caught. and he swears that you cum harder then rather than when you’re in your shared chambers
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
the sight of you wearing any jewelry he’s gifted you, or you using any gift he’s gotten you as well. you doing the little things for him, brushing his hair, braiding it at night, gently taking his eyepatch off
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
i don’t think theres much he wouldn’t try at least one time if you wanted to, but no piss kink. it grosses him out and he wants nothing to do with it
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
prefers giving! he gets plenty of pleasure just from pleasing you and if he does get a blowjob he’ll be happy but if not it doesn’t bother him too much
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
fast and rough, usually. but if you’re alone in your chambers for the night, he’ll take his sweet time tearing you apart
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
kind of obsessed with them, he loves fucking you in the hallways so it kind of has to be quick
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
decently into taking risks, just nothing that’ll hurt you too much or leave any lasting marks on your body
S = Stamina (how many rounds can they go for? how long do they last?)
he lasts a decent amount of time, but he’s hard and ready to go again quickly
T = Toys (do they own toys? do they use them? on a partner or themselves?)
canon aemond isn’t very into the idea of something else other than him giving you pleasure, that’s his job. but modern aemond? whew that’s a different story
U = Unfair (how much they like to tease)
aemond doesn’t really tease you too much, but he likes it when you tease him, although he’d never admit it
V = Volume (how loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
not too loud, he mostly grunts and groans. trying to keep it down so that he can hear your moans rather than his own
W = Wild card (a random headcanon for the character)
some days he prefers you taking charge and babying him, he feels such a weight taken off his shoulders knowing you’re there for him
X = X-ray (let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
he’s hung, like it’s fucking huge
Y = Yearning (how high is their sex drive?)
higher than you’d expected, but just above average
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
he forces himself to stay awake until he hears your soft snores, he doesn’t like going to sleep knowing you’re still awake

Chapter 41 of human Bill Cipher being really sick of being the Mystery Shack's prisoner: after absolutely terrorizing Gideon for projecting used car ads into Bill's dreams, tries to blackmail Gideon into working for him again.
But not before showing some unexpected sympathy for the plight of a child psychic on whose shoulders the family's financial future rests.
####
Dipper and Mabel were in the middle of a race on a roller coaster track when Bill wandered back downstairs. He sat on the couch armrest next to Mabel and precariously balanced as he crossed his legs. "So I've been thinking over this whole thing," Bill said. "I think I should apologize to Gideon."
"Work that out all by yourself?" Dipper glanced at the clock. "Wow. And it only took you half an hour."
Mabel finished a lap. While the roller coaster track slowly lifted her car to the top of the hill to start the next lap, she turned to give Bill an appraising look, ready to assess his work. "Apologize for what?"
"For terrorizing him! Is this a trick question?"
She nodded slowly—a little skeptical, but so far so good—but had to look away as she regained control of her car. "What's your angle?"
"I'm equilateral, work it out."
"Shut uuup, I'm serious."
"Why do I need to have an angle? Maybe I want to practice some of the apology lessons they're teaching on Color Critters! Aren't you the one who wanted me to be a decent person? You should be thrilled. You are thrilled."
"Bill."
"Okay fine, I want you to stop looking at me like I'm evil incarnate over a silly little prank letter." He nudged Mabel's head with his elbow. She smacked his arm away. "Isn't that the only reason anyone apologizes? To stop people from getting mad at them?" He lifted his eyepatch and squinted at the screen. "Goose in the left barrel."
Mabel swerved left. "Yes! Eat tail feathers, Dipper!"
"No no no no—!" His anguished groan mingled with angry honks. He tossed down his controller as Mabel sailed past his disabled car. "I'm not playing with Bill in the room."
Mabel laughed. "You're a sore loser!"
"I'll be out of your matted hair in a few minutes," Bill said. "You're cranky, go get a juice."
Dipper stomped from the room, grumbling. "Whatever, I'm getting a snack." He pointed at Bill, "Not because you told me to! I'm just hungry! It's got nothing to do with you!"
"Sure." Bill nudged Mabel again. "C'mon, let me use my training. Don't think I haven't noticed you're trying to mold me into a model citizen. Why bother if I never get a chance to act like one?"
Mabel looked at him thoughtfully. "You know what? Okay. I guess not wanting people to be mad at you is a good enough reason to apologize." She'd been hoping he'd land on genuine remorse, but she'd take what she could get.
"Great! Fisherman's out, Questiony's working, Sixer's gonna be in his cave til dinner, Dolores doesn't care—" Bill gestured toward the door, "so let's get the bracelets and get to the kid's house while the adults are distracted."
Mabel grimaced. "Oough. Right. We have to actually visit him."
"Unless you want me to mail an apology letter—"
"Definitely not." She sighed. "Well, if it's for the greater good... put on something other than a hoodie and let's go."
"You got it." Bill hopped off the couch and swung with one hand around the doorframe as he headed to the stairs.
####
Dipper tried to protest, but he'd missed his window to talk Mabel out of it; and so Bill and Mabel headed out, with Bill in a loose smiley face-covered Hawaiian shirt—Mabel approved of the friendly message—an undershirt, the leggings that looked like jeans, and his dress shoes. In other words, about as disarmingly unthreateningly un-Bill-like as he could get. He seemed to get bouncier and more energetic the longer they walked outside, until by the time they were turning onto Gideon's street he was cartwheeling up the sidewalk.
Bill waited for Mabel to open the gate in front of Gideon's house; but while Bill blithely passed through, Mabel lingered behind a few steps. Bill paused and glanced back. "Hey. All good, star girl?"
"Yeah." Mabel laughed nervously and caught up. "Just... haven't been to his house since before he got weird. Kinda gives me the willies now."
"Can't blame you. This is the guy who agreed to be my sheriff in exchange for custody of your bubble key."
Mabel cringed. "Did he really?"
"Oh yeah. Think he was planning to visit you in there until he wooed you? I never asked him. I didn't want the details."
"Ugh." Mabel shuddered.
Bill paused. "Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that ten feet from his front door."
"It's... it's fine." She took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. "Greater good. Right?"
He didn't answer immediately, tapping a foot as he thought. "Listen. Once we're in there, do you want me to go somewhere private to talk with him? So you don't have to worry about him leering at you the whole time?"
"Would you?" Mabel's shoulders slumped as a little tension eased up, relief obvious on her face. "But how will I know if you've apologized properly?"
"That little tattle will tell you if I do an awful job." Bill laughed. "Come on! I don't need you grading me on a rubric! Gimme a chance to prove I can say 'I'm sorry' without my life coach telling me how to behave."
"Thanks, Bill." She gave him a quick hug.
"Sure, any time kid. I'm not about to let any creeps get to you on my watch." Bill stretched his arms out, fingers laced together. "Ready?" When Mabel nodded, Bill knocked on the door.
After a long moment, a worried-looking, gray-haired woman opened the door. "Hello?"
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Gleeful!" Bill offered a partial bow. "We're here to visit Gideon, he should be expecting us. Would you let him know we're here?"
"Oh. Yes, of course." Her voice was a hushed murmur, as though she were talking to herself—or perpetually concerned about being overheard. She didn't raise her voice much as she called into the house, "Gideon? You have visitors."
Voice muffled, Gideon shouted from upstairs, "Who is it!"
Joy glanced over Bill and Mabel, but her gaze lingered on Mabel's face. "Oh. Aren't you that girl he...?"
"It's Mabel."
Joy said, "It's Mabel, and—"
Gideon let out an alarmed squawk. "Ohmygoodness. JUST A MINUUUTE! Where did I leave my cologne—"
Joy watched the ceiling nervously, listening to the subtle thuds.
Bill glanced her up and down, as though sizing up what he had to work with; and then he smiled brightly and said, "Well, I'm sure the little star's preparing a big entrance! Shall we wait inside?"
Joy started a little. "Oh—yes, of course. Please, come in." She pulled the door open wider and gestured to the sitting area.
Bill and Mabel took a seat on the couch. Bill crossed one ankle over his knee in a casual figure 4, and gestured to the armchair as though he were the host giving his guest permission to sit. Joy hesitated, but took the seat, sitting straight up without touching the back of the seat, feet together and hands laced over her knees.
"And how has Gideon been lately?" Bill asked. "We haven't had a chance to catch up since last summer!"
"Oh—I'm sure he's probably fine," Joy said, eyes darting around—to the clean carpet, to the framed pictures hanging straight on the wall, to the doorway into the kitchen.
"'Probably'?" Bill echoed.
"Well. He's really closer to his father, you see..."
"Nonsense." Bill lowered his voice conspiratorially. "I trust a woman's intuition on this sort of thing." He paused. "I'd wink here, but uh..." He gestured at his eye patch and shrugged with a helpless grin.
Joy curled her lips into her mouth and, for the first time since she'd opened the door, for a fraction of a second, nearly almost smiled. But it faded quickly; and when she spoke, her voice was low enough that Mabel had to lean halfway across the coffee table to hear her. (Bill didn't even move.) "You should probably know before you see him: he... has seemed a little bit cranky, recently."
"Oh?" Bill prompted.
(Mabel mumbled, "'Recently'?" and Bill nudged her.)
"Nothing like he was when he—" Joy faltered and quickly course corrected, "before his arrest. But, a bit. But then he's going through so much—reintegrating into life on the outside, trying to make friends at school..."
"Say, that's nice to hear! Has he made many?"
Joy hesitated. "He's always been... such a precocious child. It makes it hard for him to relate to other... And honestly, I think most of the children are jealous of his talents."
Bill nodded sympathetically. "I'm sure they are. Kids can be so cruel when they notice someone special. The nail that sticks out gets hammered down."
Joy nodded. "Yes—exactly. And he's so... sensitive."
Bill gave Mabel a warning glance. She pursed her lips tightly and puffed out her cheeks. Satisfied she wasn't about to weigh in on why Gideon wasn't making friends, Bill turned back to Joy. "Do you think that's what's been bothering him lately?"
"Well, yes, there's that."
Voice a tad lower, Bill prompted, "And...?"
Joy paused. She twisted her hands together. "And—I think he might be concerned about his father's business."
"Oh, the auto dealership?" Bill sat up a little. "I hope it hasn't been struggling lately?"
"It's... been a slow few months," Joy said. "It must be weighing on him—"
"He doesn't feel responsible, does he?"
Joy quickly shook her head. "Of course not. It isn't his fault. But he's just a little boy, there's not much he can do to help. Besides perform in a commercial, maybe—and he doesn't like that, we don't make him do that anymore—or..." She trailed off. "Well. Not knowing how to help or what to do... I can imagine he must feel... guilty." She stared down at her hands as she spoke.
Bill's gaze never wavered from her face. He nodded slowly. "I'm sure the business must be weighing on the whole family. It can't be easy for you, Joy—keeping a household running during such a difficult time." He gave her a reassuring smile. "I'll see what I can do to help you all."
Joy stared at his face, eyes shining. "I'm, sorry—did I catch your name?"
"Mr. Locke is fine, thanks. I was in business talks with your son before his incarceration."
Mabel leaned against Bill and whispered, "You mean he hired you to invade my grunkle's brain—"
Bill elbowed her.
Footsteps scurried down the stairs. "I'm coming!" Gideon rushed into the room, tugging his sleeves down his wrists, all gussied up and reeking of three separate hair products. "Hi Mabel my honey pie! What a pleasant surprise, what brings you by so s—" His gaze fixed on Bill, and his sweet smile twisted into fury. "You!"
Joy quickly stood up. "I should be—vacuuming the dining room." She hurried from the room, giving Gideon a wide berth as she went. The sound of vacuuming quickly filled the house.
Gideon never looked away from Bill. "Just what do you think y—"
Bill was on his feet and sweeping across the room before Gideon could get more out. "Hello again! I don't think we were properly introduced. The name's Goldie Locke." He blinked. "Wink."
Gideon grimaced. "You serious? Goldilocks? That's the best you could do?"
"I thought it was funny!"
Mabel scooted up onto the arm of the sofa, took a leap off, and landed next to Bill. "I came up with it!"
Gideon smiled uncomfortably. "Oh—sure, sure. Real cute."
"We came by so Goldie here," Mabel poked Bill's arm with both hands, "could give you a proper apology for his... 'prank.'" She got behind Bill and poked him in the back, directing him toward the stairs. "So you two go off somewhere private and do that! Go! Go on!"
"Wh— private?" Gideon leaned around Bill to give Mabel a pleading look. "M-Mabel, aren't you coming too?"
Mabel laughed nervously. "No, definitely not. I'm staying right here."
"But—but—"
"It's fine! If he tries any—" her voice dropped to a whisper, "—weird space demon magic—you can just scream. But he's basically harmless! I promise."
"But... I don't wanna be alone with..."
Bill put a hand on Gideon's back, turned him around, and practically dragged him toward the stairs. "And she doesn't want to be alone with you, and I'm going to respect her wishes."
Gideon hissed at Bill. He wasn't quite sure what to do when Bill hissed back. No one had ever done that before.
"You've got nothing to worry about," Bill said, giving Gideon a very worrying smile. "I just want an opportunity to show you the sincerity of my remorse. A little heart-to-heart! And anyway, you and I have a lot of catching up to do."
####
The moment Gideon's bedroom door shut, Bill said, in an exaggeratedly innocent golly-gee-whiz voice, "'Well, Mabel, the thing is, I was just cranky because I haven't gotten a decent night's sleep in days, because Gideon's been broadcasting mind control dreams to the town multiple times a week! Yeah, you know how you've been waking up feeling hypnotically compelled to buy a car? Good ol' Gideon! But you're right, bullying isn't the solution! I should have just asked him to cast his brainwashing spell a little further from the Mystery Shack—'" Bill cut off with a laugh. "I take it you get the picture! Your flesh is as white as your hair! It's—it's creepy. Stop it."
Gideon was already on the far side of the room, holding a floating arm desk lamp toward Bill like a sword. Voice shaking, he asked, "How do you know about that spell? H-how are you even alive? And here like... like this?"
"Does it matter?" Bill meandered around the room, looking at Gideon's matching nightstands, his TV, the floppy teddy bear on his bed. "Here's the only important question: what's it worth to you for me not to spill the beans to your sweetheart?"
Gideon swallowed hard.
As Bill rounded the bed, Gideon backed away from him until his back was pressed against the wall between his vanity and his dresser. Bill leaned over to look under the bed and nudged a rolled-up tarp with his foot. It unrolled across the floor, revealing Gideon's magic circle. "Uh-huh."
"Please stop looking around my room."
"Relax, I just want to see what's changed! This is hardly the first time I've seen your room." He glanced down at the subtle depiction of his face woven into the pattern on Gideon's carpet. "I've had eyes in here since you were a baby."
He leaned over Gideon's bed, studying his knit zodiac blanket. "Although this eye is new. You went with red, white, and blue? How patriotic." He tugged at the blanket's edges, straightening it out. "Lots of pilling on the yarn, this thing's been very well loved. Does it still smell like Shooting Star, you cretin?"
"You keep your hands off of Mabel's blanket, you—!" Gideon swung his lamp toward Bill. It missed by a foot.
Bill didn't even flinch. "You're very lucky that you missed." For a moment, his voice was inhumanly low.
Gideon's blood ran cold. He clutched the lamp against his chest. "W-what do you want from me? I'm sorry I disturbed your sleep, all right? Is that what you want to hear?!"
"It's a good start!" Bill sat on Gideon's bed and made himself comfortable, propping himself up on his elbows, ankles crossed casually, resting in the center of his own zodiac. "Now, promise you'll stop advertising in people's dreams, and everything's forgiven!"
"I..." Gideon bit his lip.
Bill grinned a little wider. "What's the problem, kid? It's not like your daddy needs you running his advertising campaign! The family finances aren't resting on your shoulders!" He laughed.
Gideon just bit his lip harder.
"Oh wait. Maybe they are. Are they?"
He looked down at the tarp. "Mrrng."
Bill sat up, leaning forward until he caught Gideon's gaze again. "So sorry, Star Boy! I didn't realize how serious your situation is!" His wicked smile said otherwise. "Wow, that must be so hard for you—the family breadwinner, at such a young age. Knowing your family needs you to keep them afloat. And it's not like you can just go out and get a job! So what can you do, except... well, whatever it is you already know how to do? Putting on a good show, right?"
"It's not like that," Gideon snapped, ignoring the weight in the pit of his stomach. He looked down at his lamp weapon and tugged anxiously at one of his sleeves. "It—it's not as though we're broke! We just... might have to tighten our belts a little bit, that's all. It's normal, most businesses have their ups and downs."
"Of course. Just no big shopping trips for a while! Pity you're about to need a whole new wardrobe, though."  Bill casually pushed himself off Gideon's bed, taking a step closer. "Hey, wanna know when your next growth spurt starts?"
Gideon shrank down. "No."
"It costs a lot to keep a growing kid clothed. And fed, and stocked with school supplies... If father asks for a little help, how can you refuse? If you don't, you could lose the business, lose your house, lose everything... all that, plus knowing it'd be your fault for not doing what you can? It's heartbreaking."
Bill leaned over Gideon, propping himself up with a hand on his dresser, trapping him in his shadow. Gideon cringed; but Bill asked, voice unexpectedly low and almost gentle, "You're so important. There's a helplessness that comes from wielding that kind of power, isn't there?"
The weight in Gideon's stomach grew heavier. Bill must have been watching his life ever since last fall; that was the only way he could have understood what Gideon was feeling so well. And yet—hearing someone else put it into words was a strange relief. He'd cut to the bleeding core of the issue. Gideon was the only one with the power to do anything, so he had to do something. It was a helplessness.
"Yeah." Gideon put his lamp back on his dresser, defeated. "Yeah, there is."
Bill crouched in front of Gideon, meeting him at eye level. "It just so happens that I'm sympathetic to your situation, kid. I get it." It was hard to read the mood in Bill's alien gaze; but for a moment, Gideon was sure he really did see a glimmer of sympathy in his slit pupil. "So how about this: I could help you out. Make some calls, pull some strings... give the family business a little boost," he said. "If you do me a couple small favors first."
Outraged, Gideon shouted, "You're blackmailing me into working for you again?! You—!" With a furious grunt, Gideon shoved Bill away from him.
To his surprise (and immediate horror), Bill lost balance, toppling onto his back with a yelp. But he just rolled onto his side and hopped back to his feet, laughing. "No no no! I'm blackmailing you into knocking off the annoying dream spell. That's all! Cut it out, or I'm telling Mabel. And—heck, how about the police while I'm at it?"
"You wouldn't—"
"I am pals with the sheriff and the mayor. Mind control happens to already be illegal in Gravity Falls, you can thank Quentin Trembley for that—such a forward thinker! I don't think there are any state-level laws yet, but I bet they'll wriiite ooone just for yoo-oou." The last sentence came out as a singsong taunt. "Anyway: drop the mind control. That's all I'm asking for. Okay?"
Gideon had circled around Bill to his bed, where he pulled off his zodiac blanket and bundled it against his chest. He wasn't sure which sounded worse. Prison probably should, but the thought of giving Mabel a fresh reason to hate him... He looked down at the blanket, and heaved a shaky sigh. "Okay."
"So? We're agreed? No more dream advertisements?"
"No more dream advertisements. You win."
"Great!" Bill beamed at Gideon. "But then, completely separately, if you want help saving the family business... well, offer's on the table! In fact, I'd happily offer to help without asking anything in return—"
"—you should, it's mostly your fault—"
"—except that, with my own situation being like it is, what with the limited access to my usual resources... I need you to help me help you." He spread his hands apologetically. "Nothing I can do about it."
Gideon pressed his lips together, looking down at his zodiac blanket. A fold in the fabric displayed part of the ripped heart. Gideon plucked out the blanket until he could glimpse the top of the shooting star.
He swallowed hard. "No. Absolutely not."
Bill blinked. "'Scuse me?"
"I can't accept your help," Gideon said. "I lead a support group of ex-cons—the very same ones I stupidly led into battle for you—and what would they say if they heard I was working for you again?"
The indulgent smile on Bill's face vanished. Rage flashed in his eye. "What would they say if they learned you're the first among them to reoffend?" He pointed at Gideon's magic circle. "Wouldn't they be disappointed. Aren't they your followers these days?"
Gideon squirmed under Bill's glare, backing away until he bumped into one of his nightstands. "F... 'followers'?"
"Your devotees—now that your Tent of Telepathy audience has abandoned you." The new smile that twisted across Bill's face now was hard and cruel, and his eye fixed like a prison searchlight on Gideon made Bill seem much closer than he was. "Isn't being worshiped sublime, Star Boy? That unconditional love? A worshiper will always be more reliable than some girl's fickle heart. But even the most 'unconditional' love always comes with fine print. How far are you willing to go to remain worthy of their love?"
Bill pulled a folded piece of paper out of his back pocket and waved it in the air. "We both know you'll help your daddy's business. The only question is if you'll do it your way, or mine." He placed the paper on Gideon's dresser and tapped it with his finger. "My way doesn't even involve breaking the law."
Gideon shook his head. "I won't..."
"I'll leave it with you anyway."
Bill strolled around the bed. "Well! I think we're finished here, how about you?" He stopped in front of the door.
He turned back. "Gideon, you're gonna have to get the door, I can't..."
"What?" Gideon asked. "Y'can't what?"
Bill huffed. "I'm sort of under this curse? So. If you could just—"
Gideon burst out laughing in disbelief. "The Amnesia Limina curse? You can't open doors?! Are you kidding me!"
"I can still ruin the rest of your embarrassingly short mortal life, you twit. Just—just get over here—"
Still laughing, Gideon crossed the room and got the door.
"Yeah. Thanks. Great."
As they came downstairs, Mabel hopped off the sofa. "Sooo? How'd the apology go?"
"Great!" Bill got in front before Gideon had a chance to speak. "I think we really understand each other better. Isn't that right, Gideon?"
Gideon grumped, "I think it's the worst 'apology' I've ever heard."
Bill gave him a dirty look powerful enough to kill a skittish horse; but he flinched under the weight of Mabel's disappointed frown. He laughed nervously, "Okay, so I still need some practice with my delivery! Human tones are finicky." He stared at Gideon. "But you accept the overall content of it, right?"
Bill was giving Gideon the creepiest smile he'd ever seen. But Mabel, on the other hand, was giving him this hopeful look—like she wanted this to go well so badly, and only Gideon could make or ruin her day. There's a helplessness that comes with wielding that kind of power.
In the world Gideon had been raised in, if someone who has transgressed against you apologizes, you don't have the right to withhold their forgiveness—it makes you as bad as the transgressor. The only way he could refuse was if he told Mabel he hadn't even gotten any apology; but there was no way to say that without admitting what they'd really discussed. "Yeah," Gideon muttered at his shoes. "I s'pose I accept it."
"Yes!" Mabel pumped a fist in the air so enthusiastically she lifted a few inches off the floor. "Great work! Happy face stickers for everybody!" She smacked a sticker on Bill's shirt and Gideon's lapel.
They tugged out their clothes to inspect their stickers. Bill's had a giant yellow smiley face over the words "Good job!" Gideon's had a smiling whale surrounded by the words "WHALE DONE". They were both disproportionately elated by their prizes.
"So can we go now?" Mabel whispered, "I feel like Mr. Gleeful's new clown painting is staring at me."
"Just one second. I should have a word with the missus of the house." Bill waved back at the kids as he trotted from the room. "Be right back!"
Mabel eyed Gideon warily.
Gideon smiled winningly. "So, Mabel. As long as you're already over here, would you like to stay for dinner—?"
"Nuh-uh." She turned and headed for the door. "Goodbye forever!"
"Aw."
Bill followed the sound of vacuuming through the kitchen into the dining room, and rapped on the doorframe. "Knock knock."
Joy flinched and spun around. "Oh." She turned off her vacuum. "Yes, Mr. Locke?"
"Just wanted to thank you for your hospitality before we leave!"
"Oh—yes, of course. You're welcome."
He lowered his voice, "And I also wanted to tell you not to worry about a thing. I'm sure everything will turn out fine for your family—and for you." He flashed her a winning smile.
She hesitantly nodded. "Thank you."
####
As they walked to the gate around the Gleeful property, Mabel said, "You weren't just all talk with Gideon's mom, were you? You actually are planning to help her."
Bill gave her a surprised look. "Something like that. How'd you know?"
"You told her to call you Mister. That means you mean business!"
A crooked smile stretched across his face. "Hey! No fair, you know too much. You're figuring out all my secrets."
Out on the sidewalk, Bill did a cartwheel, attempted to turn it into a handstand, and fell on the sidewalk. He brushed off a scraped elbow with a grumble and got back up. Well, it matched his burn on the other side.
"4 out of 10."
"I didn't ask."
Mabel snickered. "You know—your conversation with Gideon might not have gone perfectly. But you realized you did something wrong, you apologized for it, and you're gonna do better." She patted his arm. "I'm really proud of you, Bill. That's some serious growth."
"Really?"
"Really."
He beamed. He couldn't remember the last time anyone had been proud of him. (Granted, he didn't generally tolerate relationships in which somebody felt like they had enough superiority over him to feel "pride" toward his actions. Generally "awe" or "admiration" were more common.) He was basking in the praise. He was over the moon. He was euphoric. He was the best person to ever exist.
The fact that the praise was horribly misplaced didn't faze him in the least.
####
Gideon had spent the past minute picking peas out of his pot pie and scooting them to the edge of his plate.
Bud cleared his throat. "Son, you really ought to eat your vegetables. And they'll taste better mixed in with the rest of your food than all by themselves."
"I don't want my peas."
"But they're good for you! Don't you want to grow up big and strong—?"
Gideon flinched. He pounded the table. "I said I don't WANT my peas!"
"All right, okay, that's fine! Just thought I'd suggest it."
Gideon grumpily scooped up a forkful of chicken, carrots, and corn, eyed the carrots skeptically, and took a bite. It was fine. "So, father. How was work?"
Bud sighed. "Oh, it would've made more sense just to close for the day. At least then I wouldn't be wasting money on air conditioning the office."
"Oh." Gideon stabbed at a lone piece of corn with his fork. "Maybe we oughta... stop with the nighttime ads. It doesn't sound like they're helping."
"Ahh, you might be right."
Gideon heaved a sigh of relief.
"I just don't know what else to try." Bud shook his head. "I've tried newspaper ads, TV ads, radio ads, billboards, fliers, sales, cutting brake lines..." He settled his hand near Gideon's spot at the table. "Son, you know I know you're doing the best you can to help our family, and it means more to me than I can say. But, if there's anything else you can think of...?"
Gideon tried to avoid his father's gaze—and instead, spotted his mother. She usually kept to herself during dinner, wholly focused on her own plate when she wasn't setting out dishes or cleaning them up. But tonight, she was looking right at Gideon. Like she expected something out of him, too.
He shrank into his seat. "Well. I've got one other idea I could try."
####
Gideon shut the door to his room—and, just to be safe, stuck his chair under the doorknob. Then he gingerly picked up the paper on the dresser and unfolded it.
The same tall, thin handwriting as on the letter he'd received—but even more cramped, cramming as much text on one torn-out book page as possible. A terse paragraph of instructions, a phone number, a numbered list of questions, a prepared statement.
Gideon got his mobile phone and a notebook, set up to take notes at his vanity, took a deep breath, let it out, and dialed the number. As the phone rang, he looked at himself in the mirror and muttered, "Heaven help me if I'm facilitating the start of Armageddon."
Then someone picked up, and he held the phone up to his ear. "Hello? Oh, right, er—" He read off the paper Bill had given him, "'But rises gold over the pyramid.' ... Yes. Mhm, I'm calling on behalf of... of Bill Cipher. ... My name's not important, I'm just the messenger—oh, oh you recognize my voice! Haha!" He mopped his forehead with the back of his sleeve. "A-always nice to meet a fan! Yeah, we know each other. Small world. N... no, he didn't give me my... I was—was psychic before I met him, actually. Sorry, I didn't catch your name—who'm I speaking to?"
Gideon looked at Bill's list of questions, wrote a 1. in his notebook, and beside it wrote "Sue Blime." One question down. "I have a message to pass on."
####
He pushed harder.
Her skin fractured and peeled off, strand after strand. It filled the spaces between his fingertips, wrapped up his arms. He could shut his eye but he still saw it through his eyelid, still felt it tickling at the corners of his mouth. He let out an angry, hysterical, broken laugh.
And then he laughed louder, and louder—higher, shriller, echoing all the way to the distant stars. "What am I doing?" He opened his eye and looked at his hands, tangled with gold threads and soaked in blood. He laughed again, gleeful. "What am I doing! None of this is real! This is a dream! We're in my dreamscape. None of this matters! I control all of you!"
Bill controlled all of them.
He effortlessly peeled his arm off the plane of his dimension into the third, still tangled in gore, and spun his finger. The golden shreds of skin let go of his hand, rotating around his hand in a loose tornado. Cackling again, he rose up into space, looping like a paper airplane on a breeze, telekinetically twirling the countless golden shreds with him like he was doing a ribbon dance. And wasn't it beautiful? He was changing their color—yellow green blue violet red orange yellow—he was melting them down to floating drops of liquid gold, he was making them vanish into thin air. There was no blood on his hands. There never had been. He had never killed. His mother did not exist.
He glanced toward the stars. "Am I gonna have any meddling from you? Want to sell me any cars tonight?"
The stars didn't answer. Good. He didn't want his show interrupted by a commercial break.
"I control you," Bill announced to the crowd of assembled worshipers below, numb and thoughtless and unmoving while the god of this dream had no use for them to live. "You answer to me!" He jabbed his thumb against his golden face—not the internal organs exposed to the third dimension the rest of the shapes had, but the exoskeleton he wouldn't start wearing until centuries after this memory. "The only life you have is in my head! All of you, all of you have been burned away for a trillion years!" He paused, then flashed two finger guns at a red hexagon in the crowd. "All except you, Hect. Always great to see a long-time fan!"
In the field of frozen shapes, Bill's memory of Hectorgon hesitantly waved.
"But..." Beneath Bill, still as aghast as he'd been so many eons ago, still playing his part to move this dream along, his father said, "But... what are we going to tell your followers?"
"Ugh, you're such a downer. Give it a rest, you old square!" Bill did something no prisoner of the second dimension had ever been capable of doing: he snapped his fingers. His father silently dissolved into origami butterflies and fluttered into space. "You barely even liked her."
He floated back down to the plane, lacing his fingers together to stretch his arms in front of him. "I don't need you," he muttered. "I've got this handled. I've always been the one who had this handled. Now let's end this dream the right way."
Time to sucker his suckers.
He swooped through the open doors to speak to his assembled worshipers as effortlessly as though he'd been doing this a trillion years: "My beautiful, loving believers! I have wonderful news. Your high priestess—my mother—has passed on; but, you should be celebrating! Because she hasn't abandoned us! Her spirit's just ascended—not up, but out of our dimension and into the third, where the spirits of all departed shapes live on! Her spirit's formed a bridge from there to me, and through me to you! She's revealed the true nature of the third dimension—a sublime realm of color and life—and I'll reveal it to you, too!"
The black starry void of the third dimension above Bill mutated as he spoke; now, it was raucous colors, beams of light, and glittery gold. Faraway neon-colored shapes danced deliriously through nebulas and clouds.
"I'll teach you the secrets passed down to us from the enlightened third-dimensional spirits; I'll show you how to see it all for yourself... and if you follow me, if you devote yourself entirely to my teachings, if you trust me blindly—blindly, for I can see what others can't—then I'll guide you INTO the third dimension! I will be your teacher, your divine guide, your muse! So tell me: do you trust me?"
The worshipers cheered.
"Do you worship me?!"
The worshipers screamed.
"Do you love me!"
The worshipers howled, mad with love for Bill, ripping each other apart in a spontaneous outpouring of zealotry.
Bill's shrieking laughter rose up above the roar of his imaginary crowd.
####
For the first time since his death, Bill woke fully rested. Dawn streamed in through the attic window, shining golden on the cloud of curly hair dangling in front of his eyes. And wasn't it beautiful? He ran his fingers through his hair, smoothed it back, and pushed it into the right shape.
He checked to make sure no humans were coming for a while, slid Journal 4 out of its hiding place, and flipped to the page where he'd stuck his "Good Job!" sticker. He'd used his stolen half-dried marker to blacken the sides of the yellow smiley face, turning it from a circle into a triangle, draining the last of its ink in the process. He wasted four pages with every detail he could recollect from this dream, going on and on about how easy it had been to assert his rightful control, how effortless to control time and space. If he ever found the human who wrote that lucid dreaming guide, he was giving 'em a planet.
At the end, he wrote in English, "You'll regret turning me down as your teacher, Stanford. You can't even imagine how many people would have committed murder to get that kind of attention. But I gave it to you."
He tried to remember how that sermon had really gone.
What did he need to remember the truth for? It must have gone something like that. He wouldn't still be here if it hadn't, would he?

Till death do us part.
Wanda Maximoff x Reader
Genre: Fluff, and some Angst
Warnings: Talks of death, blood and vomiting.
Word count: 7179
Summary: It was a joint decision between you and Wanda wanting to raise your family together full time. There is just one last mission before you retire.
A/N: Who do I think I am, posting three weeks in a row 😂 This one has been a long time coming. I was given the prompt (a long time ago) “She wakes to the sound of you dying.” by @cuinaminute229 - I finally completed it mate! I hope you all enjoy. Let me know what you think 😊
Tumblr media
The three of you are running through the halls. You don't know how but an alarm was triggered and now you want to make it out of the building before a fight starts.
Too late.
Turning the next corner you are met with five guards all equipped to take you down.
This is not what you wanted.
The plan was so meticulously thought out, you allowed yourself to be optimistic, that this mission could be done without a hitch, but you should have known. Better to keep expectations low, right?
You can only hope they haven't found out about the support you have outside the building.
Tony, Sam, Vision and Wanda.
Two days ago
"Y/l/n, you're with Rogers and Romanoff."
You look up from the file on the table in front of you to the man holding the meeting feeling slightly perplexed.
"But sir, I'm normally partnered with Wanda because of how well we work together," you blurt out, before you can stop yourself.
"I know, but we need Wanda outside where her powers will be useful while the three of you get the job done inside," the man with the eyepatch clarifies.
You grimace slightly and it doesn't go unnoticed by Fury. So he continues, "I know you like spending time with your wife, agent, but you will have to spend a few hours away from each other this time," he finishes, getting a few chuckles from around the table.
You smile and nod your head to show you have acknowledged him. It is not your fault, you can't help but worry about your wife.
"How about Pietro? Where is he? He'd be perfect for this with his speed," you try to reason.
Fury is still smirking from his previous joke and keeps it going for his audience like this meeting is his very own stand-up comedy set, "Throwing the brother-in-law under the bus isn't going to work," causing another round of chuckles. "His skills are being used elsewhere," he finally clarifies.
Wanda notices your reluctance next to you. She takes your hand from the file to hold in her lap under the table for the rest of the meeting. The weight of her hand and the occasional squeeze she gives it brings you a semblance of calm.
After the meeting is over and everyone leaves to get prepped for the upcoming mission, Wanda speaks to you to reassure that everything will be ok. She has a soft smile on her face, "We've been apart in missions before, we'll get it done and be on our way home in no time."
Her hand still hasn't left yours since she took it earlier. You take a step forward leaning your forehead against hers while taking her other hand in yours, "I can't help but worry, it feels different this time."
You know she can take care of herself but you didn't want to be anywhere that wasn't by her side right now. This mission feels as though it has come at the worst time.
Present day
Taking out the five guards was easy work for the three of you.
Turns out they were just a warm up.
When you make it outside, you see Tony disarming someone who had a missile launcher aimed in Vision's direction. Vision throws two guys into the air that Sam finishes off as he flies past and Wanda, you can't see her, but you can see the red tendrils of her powers meaning she too, was engaged in combat.
After your quick assessment of the area the three of you spring back into action.
The base is in the middle of a forest deep underground. It's the reason the plans were so detailed, Hydra would have seen you coming from a mile away.
Hiding and manoeuvring behind and around trees you do what you are best at - taking down the enemy.
With Natasha by your side, watching each other's backs, you take down a few soldiers next to what looks like a turret. It is shooting out energy blasts to try and knock you unconscious so you can then be taken as prisoners. Once the area is clear you take over the controls using it to take out a similar one on the opposite side of the battlefield.
The machine makes it easy to take down bad guys while you do your best to avoid your teammates. For you this is just another 'day at the office' so your mind drifts to your home life.
Three months ago
Stirring awake you rub the sleep from your eyes. The warmth from your two bodies encased by your covers provide you with enough comfort to make you want to fall back into slumber.
You are about to nod off again when her soft whisper brings you back to reality, "You better not be going back to sleep," Wanda says, her warm breath that smells of toothpaste fans over your face making you smile silly.
"Of course not love," you lie, "I was just thinking about all the things you needed me to do around the house."
You hear her chuckle, "Oh, I'm sure you were." She pushes your shoulder so that you roll on to your back. Wanda presses most of her weight on top of you, stroking your cheek.
With your eyes still closed she places a few soft kisses along your neck and jaw. "Hmm...I could get used to this," you crack open one eye slightly, "but you missed a spot," you say, pointing to your lips.
"Uh uh, not until you've brushed your teeth, Morning Breath," Wanda says, slapping your chest once, causing you to whine as you stretch a little.
Wanda is always the one to wake up first. Usually she will get a head start on anything needed for the day. But considering it is a weekend she has chosen to come back into bed and allow herself a morning to lounge around.
Now, with both your eyes open, you move one of your hands that was resting on her waist to her cheek and look at her freshly washed morning face.
"Good morning," you finally say, rubbing her cheek with your thumb. Despite her 'morning breath' statement she gives you a peck on the lips and returns the greeting.
The two of you have been home for two weeks. No missions. No dire need of your presence required at the compound. Just you, Wanda an-
You hear the patter of small feet and a few knocks on the door signalling the end of your peace this morning.
Having had the luxury of experiencing it more than a few times these past weeks, you know how this is going to go.
"So, what's our play this time?" You whisper to her.
"I like the one where we pretend to be asleep," she whispers back. Being quiet is detrimental so the two, soon to be, intruders are none the wiser.
You take your positions, relaxed bodies, closed eyes, waiting for the unavoidable moment when they can't help themselves and try to sneak into the room.
The sound of a soft click, notifies you the door has been opened, along with hushed tones of, "Shh, be quiet!" You admire their efforts, they are still new recruits in covert operations after all.
When they are close enough the two of you sit up, arms raised with a loud, "AHHHH!" They both let out high pitched shrieks while the two of you can't help but laugh, giving each other a high five, Wanda giggling as she leans against you.
Tommy is the first to speak, "That wasn't funny!" Followed by Billy, "You do this every time," they groan.
You and Wanda are still giggling as the boys climb onto the bed. "That's what you get for trying to sneak in here," you say triumphantly, "when will you ever learn, huh?" You question as they get comfortable between you both.
Wanda can't help but wonder, "Why are you two always awake so early on the weekends?" The boys look at each other while you sit and watch the interaction in awe as she continues, "I struggle to get you out of bed on school mornings."
They turn back to their mother and shrug, "Weekends mean more time for fun," Tommy responds. The boy, always ready with a quick quip.
Wanda gasps as she moves forward, "Why you little-" she says, tickling him.
Tommy begins to laugh while you and Billy giggle as if you're watching a show play out in front of you.
Once everyone settles back down your stomach rumbles, starting off another round of laughter.
"Ok, ok, I think that's the signal for us all to get washed up and get some breakfast sorted," you instruct.
Just like clockwork, Wanda makes her way to the kitchen while you try and get the boys to cooperate.
After a little bit of a struggle to wrangle the energetic boys together you get them to complete their morning routine.
Before you head down, you check to make sure they are done with what they were told and eventually, you make it downstairs disturbing Wanda's peace.
When you arrive in the kitchen, Wanda smiles over her shoulder at you. Kissing her on the cheek, you take over flipping pancakes so she can finish getting morning beverages sorted.
The boys bicker about their toys as they wait in their seats for their pancakes. You and Wanda sit, passing plates around and help with any fruits they want.
You can't help but feel content at the quiet, the only sounds in the room coming from cutlery hitting plates as well as the occasional competitive comment from the boys about who can finish eating first. This is what your life is and you love every second of it.
Both you and Wanda are in agreement, you couldn't be happier with the way your lives have turned out.
These weeks have only solidified yours and Wanda's plans; officially retiring from the Avengers.
Present day
The fight feels never-ending. Bad guys showing up left and right. You can't afford to think about your fatigue, a distraction could mean the difference between life and death.
You feel something rush past you and the three guys you are shielding yourself from behind a sandbag wall are knocked to the floor.
Vibrations travelling through the floor from a loud roar signals Banner is also here, making you smile with relief. You are thankful some backup has arrived.
"What? You didn't see that coming?" The speedster says, putting his hand out for you to take so you can get off the ground. "And where's my thank you?"
"For taking so long? You know, for a speedster, you're pretty slow," you joke back to Pietro.
He laughs lightly before speeding off, "Try to keep up in-law!" The gray haired man taunts.
The battle seems to be coming to an end, only a few brave soldiers on the opposing side are still trying their best even if they are losing.
You take in your surroundings and deem the area you are in as clear before making your way to find Wanda. You follow her powers like a beacon to get to her.
Seeing her take out an enemy brings a proud smile to your face. You can see she is exhausted but will always fight till her last breath.
Feeling your presence, she turns to you after taking down a final soldier. She smiles at you tiredly as you make your way to her.
"I'm sorry honey, I wanted to get to you sooner to show you I was okay, but I was a little busy," you say when you reach her, hands cupping her cheeks, rubbing them and feeling her relax a little in your presence.
"Don't worry malysh, I knew you were here," she rests her face in the crook of your neck inhaling, "I could feel you." The vibrations of her voice against you make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on edge.
You take a short moment for yourselves, before you meet with the rest of the team gathered in one place as you usually do once the fight is over.
Making your way, everyone checks the bodies they pass on the floor to make sure they are fully knocked out, ready to be detained. The clean up crew will be here soon.
Walking towards where the rest of the team is, you notice you are the last to arrive. The team all gathers and you relax a little by one of the sandbag walls beginning small chit-chat. You allow Wanda to fully press her back against your front as you lean against the wall, anything to help with the tiredness she is feeling.
Bruce confirms a silent alarm was triggered when you, Steve and Natasha got to the targeted archive room.
All that mattered now was that the mission was complete, with no major casualties.
Wanda is now leaning heavily on you so you keep your arms wrapped securely around her to keep her upright.
As SHIELD agents start to appear they begin their part of the process so your team begins their trek in the direction of the quinjets.
Still feeling a little tired, you wait back with your wife, who is now sitting on top of the wall, to allow her a little more time to replenish some energy. When she is ready she takes your hand leaning into you again after you help her down.
"When we get back I'm running you a nice hot bath," you say into her hair.
Wanda moves her head to make eye contact with you, "I hope you're taking this bath with me," she smiles.
"Like I'd have it any other way," you shake your head, smiling back at her, chuckling.
As you look ahead of you while you walk, you hear something and see some movement from the corner of your eye.
In that moment everything feels as if it moves in slow motion.
You see an enemy soldier laying on the ground. Their arm sluggishly moves, taking something from their belt and pulling the pin. Your eyes widen as you turn to Wanda, pushing her away behind another wall you are passing.
It all happens so fast.
The grenade flying through the air in your direction, followed by a loud explosion of heat.
Your body flies backwards, hitting a tree.
Hard.
In the last seconds of your consciousness pain radiates through your body but all you can think about is if Wanda was out of the blast radius.
One month ago
You seem to be spending more and more time at home now that the Avengers have recruited more help, one of them being Natasha's sister who you were surprised to learn about.
There has been a steady flow of smaller missions where you then get to spend a full week at home. It has been a good time to be able to get a schedule into place. Creating a normal home life for Billy and Tommy.
As you put the boys to bed you hear Wanda in the bathroom throwing up everything from dinner for the third night in a row.
Even though she tells you it must be a bug and that it will pass soon, you feel worried.
-
The next day arrives and you take Billy and Tommy to school on your own for the second time this week when Wanda said she wasn't feeling too good this morning.
She hasn't been able to keep much down, first it was some dinners but the previous day she didn't keep anything down at all.
By the time you get back you hear her in the bathroom emptying the contents of her stomach once again.
You have been kneeling next to her rubbing her back trying to help her through this as much as you can. When she seems to be done, she sits to the side and you help her lean against the wall then take a seat in front of her.
"Three days in a row can't be a coincidence, my love," You think you might know what is causing this but-
"It's too soon, right?" She finishes your thought out loud, "I know I'm late but I thought that was from the stress of everything going on. It took months with Billy and Tommy."
"Either way, I've already made an appointment with Dr Cortez," you can't help the panicked look on your face. Wanda thinks it's admirable so she smiles at you.
"And when did you make this appointment?" Wanda asks, raising her eyebrows, "Also, when is it?"
You smile sheepishly at getting caught. "I called yesterday, she had a cancellation for this afternoon," Wanda shakes her head amused. She puts out her hand to show she is ready to get up so you help her to her feet and don't let go until you see she is steady.
Wanda wraps her arms around you and presses the side of her face into your chest, "Have I told you how much I love you?"
You kiss the top of her head murmuring into her hair, "No, not today you haven't," you scoff slightly.
She lifts her head to look at you with her chin now resting against you. You try not to make a face but you do. You know you have been caught from seeing Wanda's expression changing so you say something before she can, "If you think you're going to kiss me with your vomit breath, you've got another thing coming."
Wanda moves away and looks at you in the mirror as she reaches for her toothbrush, "What ever happened to 'in sickness and in health'?"
"Oh, I can still love you in sickness, it doesn't mean I have to kiss you," your response is a little too quick for Wanda's liking. "Besides I still remember you calling me 'morning breath', it's only fair I return the favour now," you finish with a cheeky smile meeting her eyes in the mirror.
"Not one for holding on to the past I see," Wanda muffles past the foamy toothpaste in her mouth sarcastically. While you just smile at her comment.
-
When you make it to your appointment, Dr Cortez takes some samples and instructs you to await her call.
You are done in time for the school run so the two of you pick the boys up and treat them to pizza for dinner.
Wanda's sickness still hasn't lightened up, you are glad she suggested the safe choice of a soup instead of the greasy food so you had picked that up too.
She ends up bringing up her dinner and instead of hovering around her you keep the boys busy with deciding on a movie to watch because they are done with their homework. The last thing you want is them to notice and be concerned for their mother's health.
Once you have them settled you go to check on Wanda. As you get to her she is already leaving the bathroom with a tired expression on her face.
You take her in your arms and comfort her. It's the only thing you can really do. Wanda wraps her arms around you leaning against heavily into your side as you make your way to the living room.
Once you make it to the couch, as always the boys are situated in the middle. You help Wanda sit on one side while you move to sit on the other side.
This is how you spend most evenings, cuddled up relaxing. This time the choice of movie is lost on you because all you can think about is Wanda and what could come from the test results.
You don't notice Wanda looking in your direction. She moves her arm to the back cushions stretching over to run her fingers through the back of your hair, "Your thoughts are loud, honey," she keeps her voice low so the boys don’t divert their attention from the television, before you look over.
"I'm sorry, I jus-"
She is smiling softly when she interrupts you. "I know, but please don't worry. We don't know anything yet," she continues speaking quietly.
Your gazes are pulled away by a small voice coming from between you. "Are you sick mommy?" You see Billy looking in Wanda's direction as Tommy pulls his eyes away from the screen.
Kids are always more perceptive than you realise.
"I have been feeling sick, yes Billy," Wanda answers truthfully.
This time Tommy speaks with a follow up question, "But you're gonna be okay. Aren't you?"
"She's gonna be fine," you reply, for her. "We went to see the doctor today, we just need to wait and see what they say."
Present day
Placing her hand to her pounding head Wanda tries to get past the ringing in her ears. When she stops feeling nauseous she looks around her immediate vicinity. She begins to panic when she doesn't see you.
Wanda was only unconscious for a moment and now that her mind has cleared a little she realises can't feel you as strongly as before. It is as if you are fading. Her mind concludes that she has awoken to the sound of you dying when she hears you wheezing, making her panic grow.
There is dust and debris everywhere and Wanda does her best to look through it trying to find you. She feels a breeze pass her and in the next second Pietro is in front of her, "Sestra, what happ-"
"Where's Y/n?!" Wanda exasperates, her worry overwhelming because she can only just about feel your presence.
Pietro helps her scramble to her feet as they both look around. Wanda walks in the direction she thinks you will be while Pietro trails behind her, looking around to make sure they are safe.
"No, no, no, no," she panics, seeing your boots a few feet away.
As she gets closer Wanda can hear you coughing and your wheezing gets louder. In her mind it is as if your light is dying out.
No.
She can't lose you.
You can't die.
One month ago
The movie still playing in the background is long forgotten.
You and Wanda continue to tell the kids not to worry and you should hear from the doctor soon.
As if he has an epiphany Billy asks, "Could it be a baby?" This gets Tommy perking up too.
You can't help but be curious how he got to that conclusion, "What makes you ask that?"
Billy responds like it's obvious, "You and mommy were talking about having another baby."
Tommy seems to have picked up how Billy got the idea, "Yeah, and we saw something on TV where someone said she was pregnant and that's why she was being sick."
You and Wanda glance at each other for a quick second, smiling at how smart they have gotten. Kids really are more perceptive than you give them credit for.
"We're not sure yet. That's why we went to see the doctor," you respond.
They still have questions. So Tommy asks, "But why did you go to a doctor, can't you check at home?"
"You check on a stick or something like that?" Billy adds.
"This sickness has been different from last time and it's come on quicker than when your mommy was carrying the two of you," you explain to the two boys listening intently.
"We were more prepared and it took a lot longer for you two to turn up," Wanda smiles, tapping Billy's nose making him smile. "And because this sickness is a little different, we thought it would be best to go see Dr Cortez. She said we will find out soon enough," Wanda finishes.
The boys ask more questions and you do your best to answer them. Eventually the conversation dwindles and you notice how late it has gotten. So you announce it is time for bed.
When you lay facing each other, you reassure Wanda, "Whatever this is, we'll get through it together."
You seal your promise with a kiss and hold Wanda until she sleeps. It takes you a little while longer, every bad scenario playing in your head regarding these test results.
Considering your track record of losing loved ones, your mother to leukaemia, your father to an aneurysm and your sister in battle, you don't like your odds.
Your stomach is in knots, something in your chest feels heavy while your eyes burn. You hope that these test results come quickly and not at all at the same time. You are not ready to lose the love of your life.
Present day
You can just about hear the footsteps closing in on you as you cough out the dryness in your mouth. But you don't care, you just want to go back to your dream. The memory of your family on the couch watching a movie. Talking to each other about funny parts.
As the frantic steps get closer, you close your eyes, ready to be finished off. You think of your boys and of Wanda, sorry that you won't be able to see them again.
"Malysh!"
You swear you hear someone voice you recognise.
"Y/n!" A different voice shouts.
At least you think you recognise them. It is hard to tell with it sounding like you are underwater.
You can barely feel it but cold hands meet your cheeks, rubbing your skin. So that's who it is. Wanda rests your head in her lap as your hand makes its way to hers resting on your face.
Quickly catching up and remembering where you are, relief fills you when you see her, "Wanda," you smile tiredly. "You're okay."
"I thought I had lost you," Wanda sighs. "I saw you lying here, I thought…"
"No, no. I'm okay," you wheeze out.
"Try not to talk, okay? You need to save your energy," she says with tears filling her eyes.
The back of your head is covered in blood. Dust and mud is mixed all over your face and uniform.
You soon realise you are not actually okay. You know what is going to happen, how this is going to end. You can already feel life slipping away from your body.
Pietro is trying to reach someone through his earpiece but it seems to not be working.
"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me," you begin quietly, your voice breaking as tears fall from your eyes.
"Stop… please don't talk like that," your wife begs you. She turns to Pietro and hurriedly tells him to get some medics and a stretcher to your location as fast as he can.
"Wanda, please look at me," you request, before the speedster disappears.
As always you are captivated by her green eyes that the forest surrounding you could never compare to. "Tell the boys I love them," your hand moves to rest on her stomach, "the baby too."
Wanda shakes her head not wanting to accept this was your end as you continue, "God, I hope they get your eyes."
One month ago
The day after your discussion with Billy and Tommy everything is normal, well as normal as the past week has been.
Wanda is forced to stay home because of her sickness while you take care of the boys then take them to school afterwards.
On your return you help Wanda however you can and get her to sit down to relax for most of the day, making sure she takes it easy.
To distract Wanda and even yourself you discuss a variety of things, from; getting things finalised with Fury - he says you will be needed for a little longer while they get the newcomers trained, he promises no big missions are in the near future, to; Billy and Tommy's progress at school.
It isn't until early afternoon that Wanda's phone rings.
She looks at you after she reads the caller ID on her screen, she finds you already looking in her direction.
You turn off the television as Wanda puts down her book to answer the call, picking up the device from the coffee table in front of you.
The look on your wife's face is undecipherable as she responds with short answers and verbal nods. You can't tell if she looks panicked, excited or nervous, maybe a mixture of everything.
A new appointment is set up which makes your stomach flip. Before you can say anything she thanks the doctor and hangs up.
Wanda takes in the apprehensive look you have on but a smile spreads over her face, tears pricking the corner of her eyes. Wasting no time she reveals, "I'm pregnant."
Your eyes grow wide as your tense muscles relax. The smile on your face now mimics Wanda's wide one. You lunge forward kissing Wanda wrapping your arms around each other. You celebrate with teary smiles, hugs and kisses. Words of not believing this is real take over as you place your hands on her stomach.
"You're pregnant," you whisper into the quiet room, the smile never leaving your face as a happy tear falls from your eye.
She puts her hands over yours, "We sure are."
-
When you arrive home with Tommy and Billy after collecting them from school you share the news. You sit them down and tell them this is a little family secret. They couldn't tell anyone, not yet.
You were probably being a little too cautious but you didn't want to jinx it. It was an easy agreement between you and Wanda to not let anyone know until at least three months into the pregnancy.
Present day
"Well, I hope they get your beautiful eyes," Wanda responds, "we'll see who wins in seven months, okay?"
You breathe out a pained laugh, "You're really gonna fight me on this, right now?"
Your eyes are barely open but grow heavier as your blinking becomes slower. Wanda looks up to see if help is on its way.
As she looks around you take in all of her features. The beauty marks dotted around her face, laugh lines you are proud to be the reason for helping make, her soft skin you like to trace in the mornings. Especially the mornings you wake up before her.
You feel colder and the weight of Wanda's hand in yours is no longer there. The end is near so you take in as much as you can before you say your final words.
Reaching up, you stroke her face with your finger, you hope you are not pressing too hard, "I love you. Always remember that."
When she looks at you, you continue, "You don't have to do it all by yourself-"
"Stop that. I'm not losing you," she desperately cuts you off.
It doesn't deter you from saying what is on your mind. "You have Pietro and Nat. Even Clint is always giving his advice even when we don't ask for it," you laugh getting a small smile from her until you fall into a coughing fit with blood spluttering from your mouth.
Once it subsides she looks at you with her eyebrows cinched, "I'm not losing you," she says firmly and slowly. "I can't lose you."
"You'll never lose me, I'll always be with you," you say, putting your hand to her chest. "Always." A tear makes its way down the side of your face.
You know you don't have much longer. There is not enough time but you feel like you have so much you want to say.
Your eyes begin to droop close, "No, I can't lose you," you just about hear. Your ears feel cloudy, just like your vision. You try to tell her again how you love her, your voice but a whisper using the last bit of energy you have to say it one more time, "I… lov-" with all your energy dispelled you don't stay awake long enough to finish your sentence as your consciousness fades into darkness.
One week later
There is a small smile on Wanda's face as she dreams of you and the boys - it is you laughing with them. Well, you are laughing at your own jokes and the boys giving you a weird look because they don't understand the punchlines. Instead of explaining you chase them around the room jokingly chastising them for not understanding them.
She loves to observe moments like this in your daily life, appreciating having a family of her own. A dream that had to be dropped after she joined Hydra. For a long time she didn’t think she would find her place in the world. Be at peace. But she found it with you.
Her limbs are stiff in her uncomfortable position on the chair she fell asleep in. Night after night of sleeping in an awkward position has not done well for her aching body.
Shortly after you fell unconscious, Pietro returned with Natasha and transportation to get you both out of there. Wanda didn’t let anyone else handle you, afraid they would jostle you too much so she used her powers to levitate you to the stretcher which she then moved to the truck where the medics hurried to look you over. There was no way she could risk losing you if she hadn't already.
If Pietro wasn't there she would have hit the ground as she collapsed, her fatigue catching up with her. She was checked over and apart from a few cuts and bruises she was deemed fine.
No one knew to check the baby.
Something stirs her awake, as usual she hears the sounds of the machines around the private room and footsteps walking up and down the corridor behind her. This time however there is a new sound, not new exactly but it’s you, laughing.
Once Wanda’s confusion subsides she realises your laugh isn’t a lingering sound from her dream. It’s real. Her eyes finally focus enough on you laughing because of something Sam said who is standing beside you on the opposite side of the bed.
The sound is interrupted with you coughing in pain holding your ribs, “You’re the one that needs to stop making me laugh, Wilson.” It is enough to get Wanda to sit upright, the other man in the room, Bucky, catching her movements first out of the three of you.
“You’re awake,” Wanda rushes from her seat to sit beside you, carefully wrapping her arms around you and pressing her face in the crook of your neck, “I was so worried.” She can’t help but let a few tears fall, which you feel soaking into your hospital gown.
After checking you over the nurse was going to wake Wanda but you stopped her, wanting to let her rest. When the nurse was exiting the room she found the men lingering outside your door until she was done for their daily visit.
You whisper reassurances to Wanda, that you are okay and explain that Bucky, Steve and Sam were the closest to the room when you woke up.
Steve left after a few minutes because he was needed elsewhere - training duty with potential new Avengers. He expressed his relief saying he was glad you were okay before hugging you then leaving shortly after.
Bucky taps Sam on the shoulder, signalling to the door to give the two of you some privacy.
"I didn’t mean to wake you, love,” you say as Wanda pulls away, wiping her tears. She takes your face into her hands, “Sam was telling me to - 'Stop laughing, your wife will kill me if she wakes up hearing you in pain'," you mimic Sam as best as you can.
Wanda scoffs and shakes her head at your antics. She looks at you, really looks at you as if assessing you. You look tired, the bruises and cuts that litter your face, arms and peaking out from your robe not helping.
You cup her cheek, tracing a fading cut there as you get her to meet your eye line, “I’m okay,” you promise her, then move your arms around Wanda as tight as you can. You power through, your aching body not liking the movement of your limbs even if the feeling has been dulled down due to the pain medication running through your veins from the bag attached to your arm.
Wanda can’t help but voice the deepest fear she has had this past week, "I thought I was gonna lose you." Your eyes well up because of her shaky tone.
"I know, I'm sorry," you pull back, "I'm sorry. I thought that was it, I was so worried. I had to tell you whatever I could." You look into her eyes, the ones you will be able to continue waking up to, thankful you still get to live your life with her.
Putting your hand on her stomach, you swallow the lump in your throat in fear of the answer you were about to receive, "Did you get checked out? Bucky and Sam didn’t mention anything about the baby."
When Wanda awoke the following day after the mission, she was told she was healthy. It hit her all at once about them not knowing to check the life growing inside her.
She places a hand over yours, with tears in her red rimmed eyes thinking about the worry she went through. First the possibility of losing you, then maybe losing the new part of you she had left.
“Natasha was there when I woke up, she found a doctor so fast when I told her,” Wanda recalls, remembering the sheer urgency she showed to find someone. Natasha all but dragged a doctor into the room to make them check Wanda.
"They did a sonogram," she trails off. You look at Wanda with regret in your eyes for not being there, "I got to see this little one for the first time," she says looking down to her stomach then back at you smiling, "they confirmed, everything is fine."
You sigh in relief, holding her hands between you, "I wish I was there to see and hear their heartbeat with you."
Wanda rubs the back of your hand with her thumb, "Would you like to see?" You respond by nodding your head. Wanda checks the pocket of the hoodie she is wearing and when it is empty she sees the small square photo paper on the chair she has been calling a bed.
Reaching over she grabs the photo that is face down and sits next to you after you scoot over making space for her, "We've got a strong one here," she says holding the image from the sonogram. You rest your head against Wanda's shoulder as you take in the blur of a baby in the picture.
You take a deep breath and smile at your wife. "We need to get that retirement sorted, huh?" You half joke, “This little peanut needs to stay safe, we can’t risk something like this happening again.”
Wanda agrees but senses your worry when you place a hand back onto her stomach, looking at it as if you can see the baby. “The doctors checked everything. Twice over, malysh,” she adds to reassure you. “She’s fine.”
Your head snaps up so fast, a small smile taking over Wanda's face, looking down for a second and scrunching her nose when she realises what she has just let slip. You can’t help the happy tears that well in your eyes, “A girl?”
Wanda replies with a nod, smiling tearily, “The doctor thought I already knew.” You move forward and kiss Wanda as much as your body will let you.
A little girl. She will be the one to complete your family.
After a few moments of silence basking in each other's presence, your forehead leaning against hers, you break it, "I would never have forgiven myself if I died."
Wanda scoffs at your comment effectively breaking you apart, "You wouldn't have forgiven you?! I wouldn't have forgiven you!" You chuckle at her comment.
You take both her hands in yours letting out a breath, “So Nat knows about the baby?” You ask in a whisper and Wanda hums in response. "And who knows about the retirement plan?"
"Just Nat,” Wanda replies.
“We are never going to be able to keep anything from her, are we?" You joke, making Wanda giggle.
"Erm, of course you’re not," Natasha says, walking into the room. "You two are always so obvious when you're hiding something. Though, I will admit,” Natasha pauses as she places her hand on your shoulder when she reaches your side, “I was surprised by the news of the baby." The three of you share a smile before she continues, "How are you feeling?"
"Alive." You smile gratefully, looking at Wanda then back at Natasha, "I hear I have you to thank."
"I'm sure Sam exaggerated but yes. Please send your praises my way," she muses, smiling back at you, taking a step back.
“He did mention something about you bulldozing a few trees to get to me,” you remark.
This gets the three of you to chuckle. When the joke passes Natasha asks, "You up for some visitors?"
As if on queue Billy and Tommy enter the room with Pietro following them. They run up to the bed and practically jump on you.
"Careful boys!" Wanda warns from next to you. They reply, sheepishly in unison, "Sorry mom."
Your chest fills with warmth as you push their hair back while looking at them, "It's okay," you look to Wanda before saying, "I'm okay," with an emotional smile.
Both boys start rambling on about all the cool things they have been doing with Uncle Pietro; playing games, eating junk food and something about being able to jump higher on the trampoline because uncle Pietro can use his superspeed to help. On top of that, how fun it has been having 'Aunty' Monica over too.
"So, not one nutritional meal this week, I'll take it?" You look at Pietro with a raised eyebrow. Then continue with a sarcastic remark, "And I see you've been showing the kids how to be responsible with powers?"
There is a beat of silence as everyone's attention turns to Pietro.
"The candy was fruit flavored!" He exasperates. The boys nod at his statement as Natasha stands to the side with her arms crossed, chuckling while you smile at the scene.
Pietro is about to continue but gets cut off by Wanda with an unimpressed glare, "Let's not forget this extra house guest I wasn't aware of."
"I needed the adult company…?" He shrugs unsurely.
It gets chaotic with Wanda telling Pietro off, the boys trying to defend him and Natasha standing on the side laughing at the whole thing. Even with the pain you can feel you can't stop yourself from laughing too.
Eventually your laughs stop and with a smile on your face, you take in the moment.
You wouldn't have it any other way. This is your family. Your small and silly little family.
You are glad to be able to live another day.

After everything we have been through why has it come to this? why wasn’t I good enough? I gave him heirs I gave him my body, my soul, my happiness, my life. Why has it come to this? Does he know even know I know if his sins does he even care? Obviously not as he got the woman pregnant.
I get out a half scoff half laugh as tears sting my lower lash line. Shaking my head I stare into the fire that warms this unnervingly cold room and wait, wait on this uncomfortable chair I had told him time and time again to get rid of but was constantly ignored. Has it always been like this? I filling his needs while he ignores mine?
I have to stop my mind from going to the past not wanting to drive myself crazy with everything that has happened. Taking a deep breath I let my tears disappear from my eyes as my face take a new form a look of nothing, void.
It was hours that I waited to hear the unmistakable roar of vhagar but eventually I did, what normally be a feeling of relief and happiness has turned into rage and dread.
It didn’t take him long to rush into our shared chamber concerned with myself and the babe I carry as I did not greet him upon his return. As soon as he set his sights on me he could tell something was wrong.
“My love, are you well? Is it the babe?” He asked concerned but was it really concern or just false pleasantries I did not know anymore. My face still voice of emotion I stood up my large belly making it a difficult but manageable.
“You call yourself a man of duty and honour correct?” I ask getting a confused ‘of course’ in reply making me let out a hmm as I whisper. “Liar.”
“What?” He asked still confused with my hostility towards him. “Alys rivers is with child, I was surprised to hear as she is a bastard but you will not believe what surprised me even more, husband.”
I finally turn to him, his eyes flashing many emotions I knew I had got my answer but I wanted him to admit it admit his infidelity. “What, my love?” His voice cracking trying to conceal his true emotions.
I let out a laugh making his eyes widen. “Oh you will not believe this my heart, a man with white long hair has been spotted numerous times entering and leaving her chamber oh and here is the part that gets me every time I think or hear it whispered that man had an eyepatch.”
My smile wild smile slowly fades into something murderous. The man who prides himself with being untouchable is now backing away from me a girl smaller than him. “Tell me husband doesn’t that discerption sound like someone I know?” I ask finally stopping in my tracks watching him open and close his mouth like the fish from the dock when they get pulled out of the water.
“My love, you must believe me that’s not me! I would never betray you like that.” He tries to convince me.
“How long?” I ask knowing it’s going to bring me heart ache. The white haired man stays silent looking at his shoes. “How fucking long.” I yell wanting the answer I deserve now.
He mumbled a reply but it was so quiet I couldn’t make out what he said. “What?” I ask. He finally looks up to meet my eyes. “From the start.” He said his voice shaking as tears began welling in his eyes.
Realisation dawned on me in that moment the missed birth and name days were because he was fucking her instead of being here with his wife and child. “I hope that when you’re finally happy with this alys rivers and ur bastard child daemon comes and takes it all away.” I said with so much hate in my voice I saw him flinch back. “Get out, go back to your whore for all I care I want you out of my sight.”
His footsteps quickly approach me and before I can pull away the taller man take my arms in his hands. “my love my life please I can fix this. Please don’t push me away. I will do anything, I won’t ever see her or meet the child please I love you.” He begged over my shouts from him to let go of me.
When I finally got free him his iron grip made my way to the chamber door before turning around looking at him. “I am daenyra Targaryen, daughter of daemon Targaryen and Rhea Royce. The next time you touch me will be last time you have hands.”
And I left leaving him crumbling in the mess he had created.

“Hop up my little love. You can do it.” I encourage my son as I helped him on my dragon before getting up myself. I tightened the saddle straps around baelor and myself before I start giving commands to the black dragon under us.
“Serve me, cannibal. Fly.” I command as he descends off the grown and into the sky. “Take us to dragonstone.” He lets out a growl in acknowledgment as he flys into that direction. It was difficult getting out of the keep without being seen but surprisingly I did it.
I move try to move my body to a angle so I could see the look plastered on my sons face but it being difficult as my pregnant belly in the way but I manage to get glimpses of the wide eyes and the smile that could light up the seven kingdoms.
We weren’t far from dragonstone as the dragon let out a happy roar happy to be going home after all this time. But the happiness was short lived from the thing i have been dreading being followed.
“Daenyra stop please. This doesn’t have to be difficult.” Aemond yelled out as him and his dragon gained on us. My eyes go wide as I start commanding cannibal to fly faster and lose them. Understanding my commands the dragon lets himself drop lower in a way to get them off our tail.
But it didn’t works it made the man chasing us angry as he starts to yell making vhagar return his feeling of anger. But as we fly faster hope filled my heart thinking we lost them.
Oh how wrong I was.
Without warning vhagar flew up in front of us making baelor scream and cannibal turn away from dragonstone and closer to storms end. It felt like déjà vu. The sudden rain hitting my skin like little knives making me hold my son closer to try and keep it from hitting him.
I could tell all of this was scaring my little boy. “Close your eyes my sweet boy, you will be alright mothers got you, you don’t need to be scared while I’m here.” I whisper sweet nothings into his ear. Holding him so tightly as he lays his head back onto my chest while tears flow down my cheeks mixing themselves into the rain. “I love you my sweet boy and you my sweet girl, I will love you forever.”
It felt like forever before it was over. The cries of terror the screams.
Cannibal is a wild dragon and his rider his first rider was threatened he had to protect his rider and the children. the two dragons attacked each other Aemonds and my pleas for the dragons to stop fell on deaf ears. It wasn’t until the wrong move was made Aemond let his anger before consuming his dragon just like what he had done with the tragedy of Lucaerys.
The last thing I saw was the unforgiving sight of dragon fire before it was over. I held my child and covered his eyes not wanting the last thing he sees being so upsetting but at least I can still be with my children just not in the way I wanted.
Now
-
The sound of cannibals loud pained roars shook the walls of dragonstone.
Daemon stood across the field from the black dragon that is wailing at the loss of his rider and his riders children.
Daemon had never felt like this before the rage and depression that he feels as he gazes at the burnt corpses of his baby, his little girl and grandchildren wasn’t like anything he had ever felt. He knew one thing and one thing only.
Aemond Targaryen will pay and his little girl
Will be avenged

⏳💫Congrats Stardust! You got Memory of Dreaming!💫⏳
I’ll make sure you won’t forget this!
Teehee! Sweet dreams, Siffrin!
Tumblr media
If you got One Hat at the ending of the game, DO NOT READ THIS AFTERMATH! Get the secret in Act 6 and then you can enjoy this aftermath! If You got Two Hats, read on head! ;)
v Aftermath v
*…
*He should be here any minute…
*You can imagine them right now.
*The poor little thing probably is so confused…
*Their most likely aimlessly searching for the party, thinking the worst is happening!
*…
*You can’t help but pity him…
*…
*Finally, You see them come to the foot of the Favor Tree.
“H-Hello, guys? The villagers said I should go here… Is… Is anyone here?”
*They forgot their eyepatch and still wearing their undershirt and pants…
*…
*He looks so small…
*Were you this small? Back when it was you?
*Stars, has it been so long?
*That you don’t even remember what you look like?
“Mira? Isa? Madame? This isn’t funny!”
*You can’t help but stare.
*…
*Okay, you’re wasting the time you have…
*You did your part! Now, it’s their turn.
*It would be silly to ruin all your hardwork!
*You hop of the branch and put on your best performance!
“Oh! You finally found your way, Stardust?”
*They jumped at your voice.
“What the-?! Who… What?!”
*You put your hand to your face…
“Oh my, Stardust! That’s no way to greet someone! Especially someone who has been helping your friends!”
*That gets their attention, of course it does…
“You’ve seen them? Where are they? How can I get to them?”
*… Stars, you forgot how clingy you were…
“Stardust, you know where they are…”
*After all, They should remember now! Remember what they did to the others…
*They can no longer hide behind their ignorance anymore!
*They know it’s all their fault…
“B-But! W-will they be okay? Without me?!”
*What a stupid question.
*You imitate picking your nails…
“They were doing just fine without you before… Besides, are you really in any condition to do anything useful? Hm?”
*Ha! Even now… You can see how much the loops destroyed your body…
*No, it’s not your body anymore…
*They look down on the ground, ashamed…
“But… I’m the reason why we’re suck here… Shouldn’t I be the one fixing it?”
*That’s exactly what you were thinking…
“And how exactly do you plan to do that?”
*They rub their left elbow, looking defeated…
“I don’t know… I didn’t think that far…”
*…
*It’s amazing, how clueless they are…
*But it’s fine…
*That’s why you’re here!
“Well, I have an idea… You might want to try it!”
*They look at you, confused.
“Why? I barely know you, yet you somehow have me already figured out?”
*Ha, of course!
*How could you forget how paranoid you were!
*You roll your eyes.
“Believe me, I’m probably the only one who could understand how that silly little brain of yours… Unless, you want the others see how awful you really are?”
*Yea, that shuts them up.
*So eager to please, in hopes of getting people to stay…
*It’s funny how easy you are able to shift him into place…
*How pathetic…
*How disgusting…
“Hm… They should be nearing the third floor by now…”
“Hmm…”
“You want to hear my plan, now?”
*They chew on the inner part of their cheek.
“Hmm, okay… If it can help the other’s, okay…”
*You take a deep breath.
*Mira asked you not to do anything stupid.
*She made you promise to watch over them…
*She would be heartbroken if she knew what you were planning on doing…
*The others too…
*You would be betraying the little trust they had with you…
*…
*But…
*But that promise was for this Siffrin, wasn’t it?
*She’s not your Mirabelle…
*She could never be your Mirabelle.
*Your Mirabelle is long gone, you think about that every blinding loop...
*Just like your Isabeau, your Odile, your Bonnie, they are all gone!
*Why should you care about that mere copy of your precious family that you destroyed?!
*IF ANYTHING, THEY SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO YOU.
*For the fact that you’re letting them escape…
*For fixing this mess…
*Once and for all…
“You could… Make a new wish…”
*His eye grows wide…
“But-”
*You take the coin from their pocket.
*You roll it across your hand.
*They stare at you…
“You can use this…”
“How did you-”
“You know how. Stars, you can be so annoying…”
*You can’t hide the venom in your voice.
*Sorry, Odile…
“Come on, Stardust…”
*You hand them the coin…
“Let’s take this from the top, and get it right this time!”
*They look at the coin, conflicted…
“After all it’s the least they deserve,”
*You make sure that they can hear you.
“After what you put them through…”
*You see their face crumpled as you say that.
*Yep, that got them…
*They take the coin and looks at them…
*Looking at you for any guidance.
*They only have you.
*…
*How tragic…
”Make your new wish, Stardust, and free your family…”
*He looks at the coin, cautiously…
*…
*They close their eyes…
*Breathe into the coin.
*Repeat the wish three times.
*Holds it to his chest, to keep it safe…
*Then… They flip it to you.
“So… Now what?”
*You see them yawn… The affect of your wish beginning to show on their face…
*Part of you feels guilty, on how easy this plan went…
*How all your little actors played directly into your hands.
*But you in to deep now, are you?
*This is what the Universe wanted from you…
*…
*They should be near the king now…
*…
*You can’t help but laugh!
“Now we wait!”

You couldn’t remember why you agreed to it in the first place. Maybe it was because you saw Aemond way too close to some lady earlier, or perhaps because of the nasty letter your mother had sent. Regardless of the reason, you were currently drunker than you had ever been after agreeing to a drink off with Aegon.
Aemond, on the other hand, had been looking for you for over an hour, knowing the hour was getting late, and he wished to bid you goodnight. After asking several people, a servant finally let him know you were in one of the smaller halls with his brother.
He walked into the room to find you sitting on the floor with a cup in your hand and wine spilled all over your dress. Aegon sat in a chair, nursing his own cup. Helaena was even in the room working on a new needlepoint spider but looked rather uncomfortable.
“What in the seven hells is going on here?” He questioned the both of you. The new voice in the room caused you and Helaena to jump.
“Drinking, of course. You should join us!! Though I do believe your betrothed is far too gone to enjoy herself any longer,” Aegon threw his head back and laughed. The wine sloshed over the sides as he took another drink.
Aemond stood there glaring at his brother, crossing his arms behind his back. He took a deep breath, trying to control his anger, “I don’t expect much from you, brother. But I expect you to have the decency to not drag her into your foolish ways.”
“Oh, this was all her. I merely suggested a little game,” Aegon pointed to you and smirked.
Aemond ignored him and walked toward you to help you off the floor. When his arms connected with yours and pulled you up, you tried to pull away in protest.
“Let go of me! You do know who my betrothed is, do you not? Prince Aemond will have your head for laying a hand on me!” You screamed at him, swatting his hand away. He looked at you confused before it clicked. You were so drunk you didn’t even recognize him.
Aegon’s eyes went wide and burst into laughter; his cup fell with a clang to the ground. “She doesn’t know who you are? Oh, this is too great!”
“We are leaving. Now,” he commanded. He grabbed your arm with moderate force and pulled you out of the room in search of your own. The whole time you were walking you struggled against his grip and threatened that he would regret doing this to you.
When you were almost to your room, you spotted Ser Criston. You frantically tried to get his attention, “Ser Criston! Please! I need your help!”
He walked over to where you and Aemond stood. Criston took in your disheveled appearance and Aemond’s now tight grip on your arm to keep you from running. He raised his eyebrow and looked toward the prince.
“I need help this instant! I don’t know who this man is, and he won’t let go of me!” You cried out.
“Just ignore her. She’s drunk, no thanks to my idiot brother,” Aemond said through gritted teeth.
“My lady, this is the prince,” Criston tried to hold back a smile, knowing Aemond wouldn’t appreciate someone making fun of you, especially in a moment such as this.
Your eyes went wide as you looked at Criston and then back to Aemond. It was as if they could hear the gears grinding in your head. Well, this man certainly had long silver hair like your betrothed. He wore similar clothing. He had the eyepatch. So it must be him, right?
“Aemond? My gods, am I glad to see you!” You threw your arms around him.
“Ser Criston, if you would excuse us. I need to get my lady to bed,” Aemond gave him a curt nod and received a bow in return. This time you willingly linked your arm with his as he escorted you to your room.
It took twice the time it usually did to reach your room, seeing as he had to make an effort to keep you from stumbling and falling on the ground. He looped his arm around your waist and pushed open your door. You were led to your bed where he gently sat you down.
“It is time for you to go to bed and sleep this off. You are going to feel like shit when morning comes,” he said and went to take your shoes off. He knew he could call your handmaiden to help you undress, but did not want to disturb her this late or make anyone else aware of your inebriated state.
“I need you to stand so I can untie your dress,” he helped you up. Your hand found the bedpost to steady yourself. His fingers hesitantly went to the laces on your dress before getting to work. You looked over your shoulder.
“Are you trying to seduce me, my prince?” You questioned in a sultry voice.
“As much as I desire you, I am not like my brother. I will not take advantage of you in this state,” his cheeks turned a shade of pink. You turned away to pout at his refusal. Your dress fell to the ground, and he helped you step out of it.
Once you were just in your slip, he pulled the blankets back and had you lay down. He tucked you in and turned around for a second to grab you some water. However, when his back was turned, you took this moment to throw the covers off, roll off the bed, and make a dash for the door.
(Y/N)! Get back here right now!” He demanded and ran after you.
“You’ll have to catch me first!” You giggled. You stood behind a chair as he watched you, calculating your next move. He saw you inch toward the right and make your way to the door.
“Oh no, you don’t!” He ran after you and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you flush against his chest.
“No fair, Aemond! You’re much too fast for me,” you pouted. You struggled against him trying to break free, and in the process, you somehow managed to pull his eyepatch off revealing his bare face. Your eyes went wide.
“Woah! That is the prettiest shade of blue I have ever laid my eyes upon,” you said as you admired the sapphire in his eye. This wasn’t the first time you had seen it, but you still found it fascinating.
Your finger slowly reached up to poke at it, but Aemond grabbed your wrist to stop you. He took your moment of distraction to throw you over his shoulder and place you back on your bed to get settled once more. The blankets were thrown over your body and his arm held you down.
“Aemond, I don’t want to go to bed! I want to explore the castle!” You tried to pull his arm off you but stopped once you let out a yawn.
He smirked, “Are you sure about that? You look awfully tired.”
“Maybe I’m a bit tired,” you could feel your eyes grow heavier as the seconds passed. You snuggled further into the bed. You turned your head to look at him and gave him a small smile.
“I love you,” you said to him before drifting off to sleep.
He brushed the hair out of your face and leaned down to press a kiss on your forehead, “and I love you.”
He let go once he felt your body relax and settled down into the chair next to your bed.
You woke up the next morning feeling horrible. Your head was pounding, and your body felt heavy. You looked to your side to find Aemond long gone but saw water and tea at your bedside table. You could almost recall a faint ‘I love you’ that came from his lips last night but perhaps that was only a dream.

King’s Landing Market
Tumblr media
Aemond Targaryen x Reader
Summary: You just wanted to go to the market, you never expected to get hurt.
When Aemond kicked the door open, everyone inside jumped, including you.
The healer just finished putting a bandage onto your finger.
"Leave us!" Aemond barked as everyone quickly left.
He was quiet, the room felt extremely cold, but it could be just his stare.
You knew he was waiting for an explanation.
"I went to the market. I had guards with me, they wanted to take my jewelry when the guards were distracted. When the guards realized what was happening, they panicked. They snatched my ring, but by doing so they broke my finger." you showed Aemond your wrapped up pinky.
"You shouldn't have been there in the first place."
"I told you I wished to go and see the merchants. I told you I would go even if you disagree."
"And you got hurt as a result."
"It is only a finger."
"You should have disguised yourself better. Or you should have listened and didn't go in the first place."
"I heard the market holds a special event. People from all over the world would come to sell. I wished to see it. But I got robbed even before I could get to the first one." you pouted as you looked at your hands.
"I hope you learned from it." Aemond said before he turned and left the room.
---
The next day, once again, you were getting ready.
"And where are you going?" Aemond's voice startled you.
"To the market."
"Did you learn nothing?!"
"Two thieves are not going to derail me from my goal. I wish to purchase goods! I wish to see what they have to offer. I heard they have special silks and treats."
"You cannot go."
"I will go Aemond, you could either come with me or stay here. But I am going."
You said as you quickly put your bag around you. You looked at him, not moving.
"I know you are worried. Come with me then, it would be a good time." you offered a small smile to him, hoping it would help him.
And it did.
"I shall go with you then."
---
Walking around with Aemond wasn't exactly how you imagined it when yesterday you suggested the idea to him.
You hoped it would be a romantic day, but it turned into Aemond looming over you like a guard dog, scaring people with his hood up and eyepatch.
You tried to ignore him and walked in between the merchants.
Something caught your eye.
A lovely pair of earrings.
"My Lady! Your taste is amazing, those are made out of real sapphire." you held the earrings in your hands, you really did like them.
"How much for them?"
"They are only two golds, My Lady." you dug into your pocket and fished out two golds and handed them to the merchant who smiled at you.
You put the earrings away before moving to a new shop.
You noticed glass jars with what looked like candles in them.
"My Lady, good day. Would you be interested? These are candles."
"Never seen something like this."
"They are scented."
"Oh? How so?"
"My lovely wife's idea. You light it and it gives the room a lovely smell. Here, try it, this one smells of lavender." Aemond observing everyone around you.
"I am not too fond of lavenders I'm afraid."
"No problem, how about a more fruity scent? Perhaps strawberry?" you nodded and the merchant handed you a jar.
"This smells really lovely. So sweet. Your wife is wonderful."
"Thank you, My Lady." the man now looked at Aemond. "Would your husband like to smell?" he tried to hand Aemond a jar but Aemond only turned.
"I'm afraid as long as you don't sell weapon-scented ones, he wouldn't be so interested." you giggled it made the merchant laugh as Aemond just rolled his eyes. "I would like to buy one of the strawberry, the vanilla and what is this?"
"It is mint."
"One of that as well please."
"Of course, just do not put them next to curtains, please blow them out if you head to bed. Wouldn't want your house to be burnt down."
"Of course." you handed him the money before taking the items. "I should have bought a basket." you smiled at Aemond before heading towards the food items.
"Do you plan on buying everything?" his voice came out harsher than he intended.
"Possibly. It is your money after all." you looked serious. Perhaps way too serious for Aemond to say if you were joking or not. But of course you were. "No need to be so harsh Aemond." you smiled at him as he watched you walk to yet another merchant.
Aemond would be lying to himself if he said he wasn't happy to spend the day with you.
He loved it very much, that whenever you found something, let that be a dress or fabric or jewellery, your eyes started to shine so beautifully.
But he knew he had to be vigilant. He would not let anything like yesterday happen again. Every time he caught a glimpse of the wrap on your finger, he was reminded of that.
But he also noticed just how kind and sweet you were when you talked with the people.
A lady just sold you some chocolate-covered nuts.
"Try one." you said offering one to Aemond, he thought you would hand it to him, but no, you raised your fingers to his lips and he would take it like that. Aemond wasn't one for sweets, but this, he truly did enjoy. Maybe it was because they came from you. He wasn't sure. "Do you like it?" you asked so sweetly.
"Hm." his reply was simple, but you were used to it. You grabbed his hand, feeling bolder as you pulled him with you.
---
After dinner, you were back in your chamber, getting ready for bed, you brushed your hair.
You smiled as you softly hummed a tune.
What an amazing day you had.
Even if you and Aemond didn't marry out of love, you two still found companionship within each other.
You smiled as Aemond entered the room.
The soft scent of vanilla hit his nose as he noticed the candle lit by your side.
You soon finished with your hair as you blew out the candle and headed to bed.
Aemond was already in bed by the time you joined him.
You laid on your side, extending your hand and placed it on his chest.
"I had fun today." you whispered to him. "Wish we could do it more often. I really enjoyed my time with you, Husband."
Aemond's fingers soon found your wraps as he let out a sigh as he felt you flinch a little when he touched your hurt pinky.
"I should have been there. This wouldn't have happened."
"I'm just said I lost the ring. I quite liked that one you know."
"I will have hundreds more made."
"No need. At least the necklace you gave me is not gone. I like that one much more." you closed your eyes, ready to sleep when you heard him speak up.
"I enjoyed today quite as well, Wife." you hummed as he pulled your hand to his lips. He turned to face you, watching you as you drifted off to sleep.
"I can't sleep if you stare at me." you whispered, giggling a little before opening your eyes and meeting his. You moved close to him, placing your head under his chin, and wrapping your arms around him.
You let out one last sigh before falling off to sleep.
Aemond soon followed.

words of comfort
" You’re not alone in this world anymore, so please just stop acting like you are.”
word count: 0.8k
original ask
tags: hurt/comfort, kaeya is working too hard and reader says 'no more of that', there's a mild innuendo at the end but i couldn't help it it was the kind of opportunity that i know kaeya wouldn't pass up but I've been so conflicted as to leave in or not because i feel like its too soon but kaeya's also the type of guy to not dwell on things too much after it's solved but i still feel like it might be too soon but we all know he wouldn't pass on an opportunity like that and i'm just going to let you read it

Perhaps Kaeya underestimates how much you notice. He thinks he’s done a fantastic job of hiding how exhausted he is from you, from everyone. He’s been putting a little extra effort into his work, so desperate to prove to himself that he could work harder, that he could take things seriously, he could be better for you. You’d never asked that of him, and he knew you wouldn’t, but something in him made him think you deserved better. And he couldn’t stand the thought of ‘better’ being someone else, so he buried his worries and concerns into his job in hopes he could work them away.
When he finally gets home, he’s convinced that you’re fast asleep already—a fact that doesn’t fill him with excitement. Rather, it increases the feelings of inadequacy he’s been feeling recently. He slumps onto the couch, rubbing a hand over his face and pulling off his eyepatch.
“Kae?” He hears you coming down the stairs and sits up with a fake casual air.
“Hey, sunshine.” he grins. “How was your day?”
“It was alright,” you say quietly, reaching to turn a nearby lamp on. He must have been so exhausted when he got in that he didn’t even have the energy to put the lights on. “Yours?”
“Same as usual,” he says, pulling you onto his lap. Being close to you makess him feel like he’s floating in the clouds. You protest slightly, but he ignores you, his hands gently massaging you. “How come you aren’t asleep?”
You look at him properly then, in the warm light of the lamp, and you curse yourself for not putting a stop to his working sooner. Of course, you noticed he was tired, and coming home later, and you tried your best to comfort him the best way you could without making it too obvious. Sometimes it was staying up late for him, or sneaking into headquarters during the day to bring him lunch or just distracting him a little to force him to have a break, but your efforts clearly haven’t been working, and you’ve left it way too long.
“Kaeya,” you say quietly. “Tell me the truth. Same as usual?”
Kaeya maintains his aloof composure, and if you didn't know him as well as you do, you might have missed the slight twitch in his right eye. “Why the sudden interrogation, hmm?”
“You come home late, you’re so exhausted that you don’t even take your jacket off or turn the light on, and you don’t even make it to bed some nights. I’ve tried to make things more comfortable for you without saying anything for your sake, but it’s not working.” Tears bunch in your eyes as you speak, and Kaeya feels the guilt mounting up again. More than anything, he wanted you to be happy. He didn’t want to bring this to you and he thought he was hiding it well enough.
“Sunshine–”
“No. I’m not going to sit and let you waste away. I care about you so much it hurts. Watching this happen to you hurts. You’re not alone in this world anymore, so please just stop acting like you are.” The tears really start coming then, and you can’t speak anymore. Kaeya quietly pulls you to his chest, gently rubbing circles into your back.
It was never his intention to hurt you this much. To be honest, this was what he was trying to avoid the whole time. You made the long days and short nights bearable, with the smile you gave him every morning, and the patience you had for him. You were healing him in places he didn’t realise he was broken, and somewhere along the line, he had taken that for granted and allowed insecurity to replace the peace he should have felt.
“Kaeya, I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me. You deserve peace, you deserve to be happy. You deserve to sleep at a godly hour.” You pull away to look at him properly, gently wiping stray tears from his face. “Am I that unapproachable?”
“No,” Kaeya replies. “No, you’re not. I just assumed you had better things to worry about.”
“‘Better things to worry about’? The only thing I worry about is you when you throw yourself into work like you’re trying to run away from something. I’m scared for you sometimes, Kae.”
“I’m sorry for worrying you,”  he replies carefully. “My intention was never to hurt or scare you. I just didn’t want to be a burden.”
“You are not a burden. You will never be a burden to me. You never have been. Okay?”
Kaeya nods. You cup his face in your hands, gently planting a kiss on his forehead and suddenly all his worries and insecurities melt away. If he had known that all it took to calm his thoughts would be a few words from you, he would have gone down that avenue first. It would have been significantly less work for him.
“You’re taking a day off tomorrow,” you say quietly. “And we’re getting you out of that stuffy jacket and going to sleep.”
Kaeya smiles softly. “Just my jacket?” He smirks, and you laugh, taking his hand and standing up.
“We’ll see.”

Ikeprinces As Ranked By Gilbert
Tumblr media
**Best enjoyed after reading Gil’s route. There are also spoilers of varying degrees from some sequel routes (Chev, Licht).
1. LUKE
Luke: I’m surprised I got the top spot. Don’t you and Chevvie go way back? Gilbert: That’s true, but you’re my adorable little kid brother. I’ve carried you on my back. You’ve carried me on your back. Good times. Luke: Aw, Dad… (bear-hugs Gil) Gilbert: (pouts as he struggles to breathe) Did you even… hear a word of what I said… Luke: I heard ‘kid’. That makes ya my dad, right?
2. CHEVALIER
Gilbert: So? What do you think? Chevalier: (ignores him and continues doing paperwork) Gilbert: (high-pitched voice) “Please, oh please, Gil! Please trample my country to the ground, rebuild it in your image and then run it for me!” Something like that, right? Gilbert: (dodges pebble) Ahh, sorry, sorry. It would probably be more like “Please, oh please, Eyepatch!" Gilbert: (dodges another pebble) What is going on here? Do you roll around in the garden before coming to work every day?
3. CLAVIS
Clavis: (stiff smile) I baked you one of my most sought-after creations as thanks. I’d be honored if you’d try it, Lord Gilbert. Gilbert: Hmm, it looks as unappetizing as I expected but smells delicious. Oh, and... (sniffs) ...you even infused it with my favorite poison! Clavis: Hahaha! Well, I didn’t want you to get the idea that I’d learned nothing about you during all our years working together. Gilbert: Of course, of course. Would you like to share this with me Clavis: (stiff smile) No, no, no. It’s best enjoyed alone. Please, I insist.
4. RIO
Rio: If you’re trying to use me to get to my mistress, then I’ll— Gilbert: You misunderstand me. (Sets down two plates of pain perdu and places his hand on Rio’s) I really do commiserate with you, you know. It’s not easy seeing the one you love go off to be with another man. And yet you gladly sacrifice your own happiness. As though it were someone else's joy to give away. Rio: It is. My joy belongs to my mistress. Gilbert: Hmph? Let's see. Pain perdu means ‘lost bread’, right? Poor, poor abandoned little toast, molding under the table. Gilbert: Oh, by the way. I asked the little rabbit if I could bring these to you on her behalf. (Proceeds to eat all the pain perdu himself) Rio: (smiles brightly) So I’ve heard you love exercising!
5. SILVIO
Silvio: (kicks down the door) Where's the list? Gilbert: (innocently sips tea) So you can tear it up? Did you think I didn't make copies to send to every one of your little merchant friends? Silvio: My real friends know what's up. Gilbert: What a hurtful thing to say. I’m just honoring our friendship. And buttering you up for future manipulation. Silvio: Tch. I don’t know what game you’re playing— Gilbert: Human chess. Silvio: —but I’ll buy up every damn piece before you can get your filthy little mitts on 'em. Gilbert: Hehe, splendid. (Sits back with a smile) What’s more fun than controlling someone who controls everything else?
6. KEITH
Keith: Picked me over the other guy, did ya? Gilbert: Oh, he’s on the list too, of course. But I can’t stand how much of a do-gooder he is. And besides, you’re much more fun to play with. Keith: That right? I’m usually the one doing the teasing around here, though. Gilbert: (looks around dramatically) Around here? Where only a handful of people even know you exist? Tell me, if a tree falls and no one’s there to hear it, does it make a sound? Keith: >:0
7. KEITH
Keith: (hangs head) So you know… about him… Gilbert: Ahaha, there's no need to look so down! You haven’t done anything wrong, have you? It’s all him, right? If only he’d just disappear and stop taunting you from Spot #6. Keith: N-No! I don’t want that! I don’t… think I want that… Keith: Yes, I’m sure of it. He and I can share our friends. Gilbert: (stops smiling) Sharing only works if you can fully trust the other person to not take advantage of your kindness. You may think you can do that now, but people change. Circumstances change. The galette must one day burn. Keith: :’(
8. JIN
Jin: (thoroughly unamused) How kind of you. Gilbert: Isn’t it? But you should know that I’ve got nothing against you personally. Whatever enmity there is between us stems primarily from you. If you weren’t royalty, we might have even co-brothered Luke together. Jin: (throws up in his mouth) I don’t see how that has anything to do with this. And you’re the most detested royal figurehead on the continent. Gilbert: (shrugs) I’d say I’m sorry you can’t see past that, but I’d be lying if I claimed there was anything there to be seen in the first place. Thanks for the lollypop. Jin: What? HEY—
9. SARIEL
Sariel: (stops as soon as he enters his office) What are these vermin doing here? Gilbert: (sitting in Sariel’s chair) Just a little gift I brought so I could congratulate you for making it onto my list. Would you like to do the honors? Sariel: (plucks him up by the fur) Am I to understand you’re giving me a chance to correct my oversight before you take things into your own hands? Gilbert: (brushes himself off) I expect you to do most if not all of the work since my hands are tied while I’m a visiting guest here. But I’m happy to take them under my wing if you can’t even do that much. Sariel: “Kill them, or be forced to kill them,’ is it? (glances at the tied-up assassins) I wonder which one of us they would consider a fate worse than death.
10. LEON
Leon: (glares) I take it you only stuck me on here out of diplomatic courtesy. Gilbert: Haha, maybe. But there’s something about you that’s always reminded me of someone I know. Leon: Whoever it is, I feel bad for the guy. Gilbert: (bittersweet smile) You might be right. Maybe I need to do better by him…
11. LICHT
Licht: Do I know you? Gilbert: I was wondering the same thing, to be honest. But I’ve seen you around the palace enough times that I figured I might as well throw you on here. Gilbert: Nice eyes by the way, hehe. Licht: Oh no you don’t. My only family is Nokto.
12. NOKTO
Gilbert: Oh. There are two of you. Must be nice having an identical twin. (Resting his chin in his hand) Do you two switch places a lot? Nokto: You never noticed before today? Never received a report from one of your spies about it? Gilbert: Oh no, what sort of boring activities do you think I have my spies do all day? Nokto: Well, for starters, you sure seem to have paranormal insight into the contents of our kitchen at any given moment. Gilbert: So you'd rather I left all the carrots where they are? Nokto: ...
...
.......
................
Yves: Prince Gilbert!
Gilbert: (stops but doesn’t turn around)
Yves: I saw your list, and I couldn’t help but notice—
Gilbert: No, I believe you noticed everything you were meant to.
Gilbert: (leaves to go find the little rabbit to fix his bad mood)

When Kaeya Falls For You—Flirting Headcannons + lil fic ♡
Oh the ever-so-smooth and notorious flirt, Cavalry Captain Kaeya. Everyone knows him for his charm and dashing smile, accompanied by his heart-meltingly good looks. Nothing could ever hope to shake this cool and collected man. Until you came along and shattered him :) happy reading!
Kaeya x gn!reader II Fluffy fluffy fluffy!!
Content warnings: gettin’ drunk! One swear word :)
Tumblr media
Listen, listen, listen. I KNOW you think I’m gonna say “awh he’s a smooth talker!!!! He rizzes you up!!!” NO. UH UH. LISTEN.
I think when Kaeya’s down bad he’s down BAD.
He smooth-talks to flirt with everyone. He does it to the other knights, to complete strangers, even to the cute ol’ granny he helped carry a heavy basket for. It’s seriously platonic. So obviously, when Jean introduces you to him as a researcher that will be using the Favonious library for the next few weeks, he dives right in. Jean, uncomfortable as ever when witnessing Kaeya’s flirty assault, gives him a grim look before taking her leave. In his presence, you blush just like everyone does, you look to the ground and perspire. But here’s the thing—you’re like…the prettiest person Kaeya has ever seen. He’s actually…kinda nervous around you the first time you meet. So he’s not as smooth as he usually is—fumbling and floundering with his words as your sweet puppy dog eyes meet his.
It doesn’t take long before he’s beyond smitten. Your adorable gentle “hello!” every morning at the favonious headquarters, your beautiful little absentminded compulsions like twirling your hair or biting your lips when you zone out, and…you’re actually really funny. Even if you aren’t trying to, you get him to giggle like a doofus—effectively scuttling his smooth and collected demeanor.
So we’ve established that Mr.Man CANNOT talk to you. You throw him off his rhythm. So what does he do?
Well…honestly…he starts to avoid you. He does anything in his power to escape a conversation with you. But he can’t just leave you alone! He likes you too much. So he finds himself scouring the favonious library for you any chance he gets.
If he sees you sitting alone at a study table or in a little reading nook by the window, he hangs around in the area, discreetly looking your way ever so often while pretending to look at books. It’s not discreet at all. He’s staring. He’s holding the book upside down. Once he works up enough courage, he either sits right next to you or directly across from you. Leaving you a bit confused as to why he didn’t choose any other seat in this completely empty library.
Without his vocal charisma, poor Kaeya is lost. Even the mere thought of you acknowledging him sends his brain into panic mode; rational thinking off and body on autopilot. All he can do is follow his instincts. And his instinct is to get close to you. Like…proximity close. Like…real close.
When I say real close, I mean…real close. He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. It’s like you’re a Kaeya magnet. He’s not close enough until his thigh is right up against yours. It’s a little jarring the first time it happens, you think, “Um…isn’t this the guy that actively avoids me?”. But it’s…nice. It’s comfortable. And you’re not going to reject affection from a guy you find insanely attractive.
But he can’t avoid conversation with you forever, since he’s basically stalking you. After a while, you relax and begin to genuinely enjoy his presence, his crooked smile when you make eye contact with him, how he nervously fiddles with his eyepatch around you.
So you ask him out. Not really on a date. Just asking if he wants to go grab a drink at Angel’s Share with you. Like good acquaintances do.
He knows he won’t be able to talk to you.
He knows he’s going to look like an idiot flubbing every sentence he tries to get out.
He knows he has to say no.
“Y-yeah! Yes. Yes I’d l-love(his voice actually cracks) that! (Cough) l-I mean! I’d like that! Very much.”
This was gonna be a rough night.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After you finish up your reading (and in turn Kaeya finishes staring at you reading), you two walk to the bar together.
The whole way there, you try to make idle chit-chat, but Kaeya is tensed up like he somehow contacted tetanus on the way out of the headquarters. Lockjaw mode enabled, man. He can only get himself to respond with stiff nods or head shakes. Maybe an “mhm” if he really exerts himself. He is, simply, a mess.
You honestly start to worry about him.
But before you can ask him about it, you two make it to the bar.
He should’ve asked to go to the Cat’s Tail instead.
‘Cause of course his brother is bartending tonight.
Too late to turn back now!
Dread washes over him as you sit yourself down on a barstool directly in front of Diluc. Not only does he have to be in the same space as Diluc when he’s this off his game, Diluc has front row tickets to Kaeya making a complete ass of himself.
Immediately when he takes a seat, Diluc’s attention snaps to him—raising an eyebrow at Kaeya sitting stiff as a board.
You cheerily greet Diluc, asking for two Death After Noon’s! Thank Barbados you ordered for him. And his favorite drink! How did you know?
Diluc side-eyes Kaeya, hesitantly turning to fix your drinks.
You turn to Kaeya, one elbow on the counter as you rest your head on your hand.
He seizes, bracing himself for a question or statement from you that requires a response.
But the blow never comes. You just start talking about your day, your favorite foods, your favorite drink (which just so happens to be a Death After Noon), anything that really comes to mind.
He is bewildered by your monologuing, but not in offense. He greatly appreciates the verbal slack you’re giving him.
As you go on and on, he absentmindedly moves closer to you, until you’re nearly nose to nose—you still eagerly prattling away, him soaking up every word.
After a few drinks, his jaw unlocks, allowing him to at least respond to you—though he’s still a nervous and stuttering mess.
“T-that’s so interesting!” “So you’re a f-fan of t-those? Um neato! (Why the fuck did he say neato)” “Y-you’re so c-cool! I mean—like, um! Like you’re such a good talker! I-I mean you’re…I—I love—LIKE! I LIKE! Listening to you!!!”
Diluc is ENRAPTURED.
He is eating this up.
This is the most entertained he’s EVER BEEN.
He is eternally grateful to you for this. Free drinks for life. Don’t expect to have to pay your tab tonight. Kaeya’s foolish clip-show is payment enough.
You don’t hold it against him. You think it’s sweet! And you’ve definitely caught on to his feelings for you. I mean—literally every person in Mondstadt has caught on to his feelings for you.
Poor baby. He thinks he’s doing a good job of hiding it.
After a few more drinks, he really loosens up. He starts to share a bit himself, telling stories of his own and asking coherent questions. The only problem is…
You thought he was close before?
No, no, sister (this term is universal).
NOW he’s close.
You literally taste his breath in your mouth. Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste bad. You wouldn’t mind tasting it a little better…
Oh crap, you’re pretty sloshed too.
But what’s this? You’re a quiet drunk :)
So now it’s your turn to listen and Kaeya’s turn to talk!
You listen to his chatter as he holds you around the waist with one arm. At some point, he pulled your barstool to knock against his, your thigh touching his once again. But now touching thighs isn’t enough. He goes so far as to bring your leg up to rest on top of his—leaning his forearm on the table to bring himself chest-to-chest with you.
Diluc is revoking his eternal gratitude.
You’re paying your tab in full tonight. Or more accurately—he’s making Kaeya pay your tab in full when the lousy drunkard eventually wanders back into his bar.
He kicks you guys out.
Kaeya walks you home. Or more accurately, you walk Kaeya to your home—his drunk ass clinging to your shoulders as you drag him behind you.
He leans against your door frame as you fumble trying to unlock your door, unknowingly kabedoning you from behind. You think you had Kaeya flustered? Every time he gets this close you flush and go dizzy. Especially now that you’re drunk.
You finally get your door open, but Kaeya snatches your bicep before you retreat inside—bidding him goodbye.
He pulls your face back in to his and you wonder where the flubbering goofball from a few hours ago went. You were CONVINCED he could never be this smooth.
“I really like you. Can we do this again?”, he breathes.
“Y-yes.”, you stutter, “I-I like you too…”
The next day, all of Mondstadt knows you’re officially dating. You know, because of your public groping at the most popular bar in the nation last night. It wasn’t really groping, but word of mouth has a habit of exaggerating. At least Kaeya is saved the tortuous endeavor of asking you to date him himself after sobering up and returning to his inept state.
As your relationship deepens and grows, his clumsy mouth returns to its once renowned oral prowess—him now being able to purr sweet nothings into your ear, making you the flustered mess in this relationship. Oh how the tables are knocked on their ass. Now that his flirting is saved only for you, his silver tongue is relentless in its assault. All day every day. Enjoy~. Cause if it’s up to Kaeya, he’ll be showering you with his romantic whispers for the rest of your lives.
