If you hate your body, do not achieve the body you want out of hate.
I know what you're thinking: starve yourself, run yourself into the ground, faster cardio, no carbs, no sugar.
You're reaching a perceived level of health at the expense of your actual health. If you expedite the process without doing the internal work, you're fucked. Now, I know there's some people who are finally happy and, uh, thinner body and I'm not talking to you, okay? Please, separate yourself from the equation and listen to what I'm saying.
It is so much more rewarding if you just improve your lifestyle. I just got my 10,000 steps on this beautiful day. I didn't do it to burn calories, I did it because I get to. I'm gonna go train legs now, I fucking love squatting and deadlifting! I love being strong! I have more time today, so I'm gonna take my time to cook a delicious, nutritious lunch. I'm not grinding, I'm not fasting, I'm not just having protein. I'm not doing burpees in-between my sets.
When you do this from an extreme standpoint, you're abandoning your quality of life. Therefore, you'll be more resentful. And because you're so resentful, you'll constantly be looking for validation, and it will never be good enough, and you'll be chasing a body that's impossible to reach 'cause your standards are too high. Just chase health! It's so much more rewarding, and you don't have to answer to fucking anybody!

Unfortunately for everyone involved, Brent doesn't understand the concept of being bought a joke, like, why would someone SPEND MONEY on a joke? Since Karen's his friend and bought him a shirt, he's like. Legally obligated to wear it at least once... ? Probably?
So while he suffers over the idea of wearing it and not wanting to wear it at work he eventually would wear it and Karen would suffer the fact she needs to actually not try to joke too much in a teasing way if it's gonna be Treated Seriously. Right suffering from being gay because oh, Brent looks nice in color. (Chris would find out about it at work that he missed Brent in color and just stares at Karen because she is an absolute menace how did she manage that.)

Was I the only one who felt like Aaravos' crying sounded fake? Even his facial expressions weren't very contorted...I mean, compare it to Claudia in episode 1, that was truly someone going mad with pain. Just saying, this guy doesn't convince me.

Finally got ahold of the audiobook of Penance by Eliza Clark and I have mixed emotions about it. On one hand I love the premise and I feel like it's written well enough to where I feel like the author isn't going to clumsily stumble through her own story and fall on her face at the end like the majority of popular thrillers. But also this story suffers from having someone who hasn't been in school for a long time attempting to write teenagers. The funny thing is that whenever I see a horrible portrayal of teenagers, specifically of zoomers its never like, inaccurate portrayals of slang and trends that most teenagers cringe at, it's extremely unnatural dialogue that I don't understand how even a 30 or 40 year old can't see how awkward and cringe and flat out bad of a portrayal they're doing. You can claim that it's regional differences, even if we were all teenagers once I still don't know what it's like to be a popular mean British girl, but I'm fairly certain that actual popular mean British girls don't go around describing themselves as popular mean girls. The funny thing is that they've mentioned several times that these girls (ok it was actually like one girl but she introduced too many characters and I got confused so I can't even remember the name of the girl who said it) are trying to imitate the mean girls in popular American shows/movies. But I think that it's SO funny how instead of going for the obvious Regina George or maybe the more posh Blair Waldorf, they chose Sharpay Evans....I'm very familiar with the popular mean girl trope because I always love the girls who fall into this category and I can say with 100% certainty that none of these girls act like this either. I don't know what the author is going for but it's very painful to listen to.

listen i hate saying this but when echo dies in the finale (because he will. i've come to terms with it, i don't like it, but that's where they're leading, and it's painful) i'm hoping that they pull out the stops for his death.
i've said it before, but echo's the character (besides rex) that we've known since "the clone wars" show started. we met him and fives in season 1, and the citadel arc was one of the most heartbreaking moments in the show because we saw how much echo meant to his brother and to the team.
and they're definitely building up to something dramatic, because now we've got the echo and emerie team-up, so he's got a separate storyline for a while, but i'm hoping his death, as one of the last tcw season 1 characters, is something big.
like i'm talking every member of the batch losing it, whether it's crying, collapsing, disbelief, something like that. the clones' theme playing as he dies. echo referencing his brothers who have died. at the end of the finale, rex getting word of echo's death, and completely falling apart.
in a perfect world, as echo dies, the rest of the 501st would be around him, just seen by him, ready to welcome their brother into their arms. 99 would be there, and the entirety of Domino would be grinning, just waiting for their final member to join them.

my theory for next week is that the spinal cord sword will work, but because Denji essentially can’t die, he lives through it and is actually conscious enough to go “what the fuck.” absolutely horrifying but also, on some level, hilarious
