Ok but like WHYY did ubisoft have to insist with the one game a year thing. Why couldnt they let syndicate cook in the oven more. Why do they have THREE queer men in the same game and not do ANYTHING with them!!!
Like yes, yes, i get it, i get wanting to for once make a story in a fun setting where you dont have to think about real life prejudice and hardships and bigotry and just have characters be silly, i love that too. I do! And id be all for that if doing it just didnt waste a potentially banger study of the characters and the setting ;-;
Like god i go back and forth on this constantly. I already love syndicate as it is, i think it's fun and neat and the happy gaming vibes about it is core to its identity, it's just that simultaneous to that, three queer men in the same game!!!
like GOD im still miffed that there are only, like, two or three fics about this, and so far i havent found any discussion or anything of it, but oh my god how different all three of them are from each other. You could do so much just with having any of them in the same room — and they are often enough in the same room (jacob and either ned or roth at a time), but nothing's really done there!
we have roth who sees fcking nothing wrong with getting kids hurt, because he doesnt actually care about anyone or anything, he's just some fucking joker wannabe that yeah, sure, probably has some anger and resentment at society because he's a gay man in his 40s or 50s by now, but jesus fucking christ retaliation against homophobia does not equal rampant needless unproductive violence roth!!!
then we have ned, who — i mean he doesnt ever give his opinion on whether kids deserve any respect or anything but considering in every other department he's pretty much just Some Guy, it'd be fair to assume he also has the extremely average stance of 'dont fcking kill kids and dont blow up buildings for no good reason??' in the grand scheme of the templar-assassin stuff he has just about as much relevance as roth: roth was just the boss of the blighters, ned just finances the fryes by virtue of them working for him. He probably doesnt even know about it, and tbh i dont even know if he'd care??? But like i imagine roth doesnt care in the way of 'as long as you dont get in my way, it's all set dressing,' ned i imagine would be smth like 'are yall fckin serious? are you kidding me rn? i have to skirt around transphobes on a daily basis, now youre telling me there's a secret society on top of that with even worse ideas?? What the fuck???'
like uh, not caring about it as in 'I cant deal with this rn i need a nap'
HE'S JUST AN EXTREMELY REGULAR PERSON (besides the crime lord stuff) IS WHAT IM GETTING AT.
then there's jacob, who's the youngest out of these guys btw, fckin 21 good god he should be at the club not trying to disassemble systemic oppression— ANYWAY
(ned is 27-28 over the course of the game, btw; we dont actually have a solid timeline for anything, just the year, so tbh jacob could've also been 20 and not 21 yet during the game. both he and ned have late birthdays, just a month apart)
so, yknow, being extremely early 20-somethings, both frye twins just take a train to london completely on impulse and dive headfirst into undoing the templars that've had an iron grip over the city for basically as long as they've been alive, yknow, as you do; and throughout the game jacob has to deal with goddamn daddy issues and fighting with his sister and insecurity and trying to be an assassin — and that's a lot for a guy to handle!! Especially one who's still just a couple years out of being a teenager! That's a fucking lot and if the devs are right, then he hasnt even realized that he's bi yet! Not until roth fucking kisses him while jacob's got a knife in his throat for the aforementioned indiscriminate, unproductive violence!
i mean, granted, yeah there were gay undertones during sequence 8, but i have to admit my bias here because i honest to god cannot take those missions seriously. Roth fucking preaches this and that about freedom and whatnot and then im plopped into the mission and it's the most rule-heavy shit ive ever seen in my short life as an assassin's creed player. Like what the hell, those missions were atrocious. Apprently i need to detonate the bombs a specific way, i cant just shoot them from a distance, i have to hold a button crouching down right next to the bombs, and then run the hell away! I have to avoid THIS and THAT while kidnapping xyz! Like there's freddy's apprehend missions and then there's THIS.
at least with ned's missions all you have to do is get the shit and go… i'm still salty that ubisoft cut his questline because they fucking insist on releasing a game a year >:((
my battery's dying. All these guys are different flavors of queer on top of just being pretty different and pretty similar in various ways, and there's just… barely anything about it. Ned especially, since he's just a quest giver whose screentime totals to, like, 2-5 minutes. I just wish they really did more with the setting; not just the queerness and these three specifically, but like, evie, henry, the class conflict — like there are shreds of it, seeds, but there's not much before you kill starrick and credits roll :((
idk. im just gonna refresh ao3 again cjemddjekjx

I used to love scrolling through the Dottore x Reader tag on Tumblr until I stumbled upon your account and ended up binge-reading all of your posts. [I would spam-like all your posts, but I’m unsure if spam-liking is unwelcome! (/--)/] I just have to say, your writing and characterization of Dottore and his segments are by far the best I’ve ever read and seen???? Honestly, it’s my favourite portrayal of Dottore, and your writing is just so immaculate??? The emotions and details are perfect, and it’s always such a joy to read and visualize everything in my head. If I had to describe it with a physical feeling, your writing feels warm, fun, freeing, and safe—like lying in a field of grass under a night sky, with warm winds brushing against my skin. \(^-^)/
I love your versions of the segments, too! They all feel so unique, and there’s such variety in your portrayal of them. I love how each segment gets its share of love. The interactions between the reader, Prime, and the segments never feel awkward—everything feels balanced and fair. I used to be really unsure about segments x reader content, but you’ve made me fall in love with them all. The way you give each segment so much personality while ensuring none of them overshadow the others is just incredible?? IF THAT MAKES SENSE—I’M JUST RAMBLING I FEAR— TLDR: YOUR WRITING MAKES MY EYES AND HEART EXPLODE WITH HAPPINESS. (*^ー^)ノ♪
AND THE ANGST WRITING TOO??? UGH, MY HEART. IT’S SO PAINFUL. I LITERALLY TEAR UP AND CHOKE UP EVERY TIME YOU WRITE ANGST. [PLEASE, SEGMENTS AND PRIME DOTTORE LIVE FOREVER!!! MY HEART CANT HANDLE THAT PAIN- AND THAT LATEST ONE ABOUT OMEGA AND READER HAD ME DOWN ON THE GROUND, UNABLE TO GET UP. (/_;)/] But seriously, your work has made me so much more attached to Dottore than ever before. Sometimes I even find it hard to go through the Dottore x Reader tag nowadays because I’ve developed such a heavy bias and preference for your characterization of him. It’s such a refreshing take on the character and I absolutely adore it. \(^-^)/
Also, I’m just in general a sucker for villains being soft for their lover, and the fragile reader concept you explore on this blog is just chef’s kiss.
Please write forever, I don't know what I'll do with my nightly reading time without your delicious dottore content /lh /pos
Also, your blog is so organized it saves me so much time as someone who frequently gets losT online and irl

hi i'm still here :) those things about fandom denying theorizing about jonsa just bothered me heavily since fans accepted almost every theory under the sun but hypothetical j0nsa is where they draw the line they accepted curtain of light theory and 3 heads of the dragons saving the world for years before a hypothetical cousin marriage/bethrodal that ties a lot of plot threads and themes together and resolves so much of the missing plot pieces from the show, i might not personally like it cause of the incest implications but im also consistent with hating all jon's incest ships and still keeping an open mind about j0nerys and j0nsa on a storytelling basis but j0nsa is a theory that intrigued me so much because it did make sense from the drafts, the fact that sansa will end up at winterfell with the vale army by the time jon wakes up and changes into who knows what (again fans straight up ignoring which stark is actually the closest to winterfell will never not make me laugh) to the many gothic literature and historical references george takes to especially the ashford theory thats so unavoidable i call fans extremely blind for being this in denial that it might happen as a plot point and since aegon is most likely going to be busy with dorne/cersei/dany or euron and most likely die in the south (rip son) i highly doubt sansa will tie into his plot unless thats the last targ suitor she's supposed to be betrothed with and again its kinda a big nothing theory to me cause sansa going south would be repetitive and its already been debunked with the AFFC draft leaks unless aegon wants a claim to the north which again im pretty sure he'll be engaged to arianne for martell points and allyship (also her being engaged to a secret fake bastard heir was already done with joffrey and it being completely reversed with j0n feels more complete as an end point to that theory/arc there's no way george would pass that up).
i also don't think this is all jon and sansa have to offer as characters, its what bothers me with other ship fans as well i like them as separate characters and i also feel like looking at the story, if it were to happen i don't believe it would be a fairytale romance or ending or be anytype of normal relationship, i might even be completely wrong and j0nsa might never come up (also feel like george would be wary of doing this now when media literacy is at an all time low but fandom toxicity is high as the heavens), both sansa and jon fandom theories have been through a rollercoster over the years im just happy that fans finally have theories that actually makes sense storytelling wise and not something for wish fulfillment but bias still runs amok in the fandom unfortunately and it still clouds a lot of convo about the characters and plot theories
sorry for rambling in your inbox again
Hello :3 nice to see you again
anon can I call you soulmate anon because every sentiment you’ve portrayed here is exactly what I believe too! I like jonsa too because it’s v compelling and it has good evidence to back it up, but I’m really iffed up because of the incest too. Well not because I’m a pearl-clutching puritan but because it’s not fair to Sansa tbh, as a teenaged girl in a deeply patriarchal society. If she’s the girl in grey who runs away to Jon for protection, it’ll not be as a friend who’s seeing another friend after a long time, it’ll be because she wants protection from her brother. Then comes in the question of her claim to Winterfell. If she marries Jon to smooth out the inheritance crisis, the North would still belong to Jon & not Sansa. They will not be equal in that marriage or as the lord and lady of Winterfell. However, there are far, far too many indications of a jonsa match, textually and subtextually, which I am right there with you anon, are so compelling! It would only be a blind man to not see them. And the fandom collectively vehemently denying jonsa is v funny to me because it sounds so much like
“Do you believe women are humans?”
“Yes”
“Do you believe women should have the same rights as men?”
“Yes, absolutely!”
“So you are a feminist.”
“Eww, no.”
Like, the text is glaringly pointing at something with air raid sirens and neon red lights, but what could it mean, hmm 🤔 Like c’mon guys my cat could figure out what’s going on at this point.
Though, I do believe that the Ashford Targaryen suitor could be Aegon VI for Sansa. While a lot of people believe that Aegon will marry/betrothe Arianne for that Dorne support but that doesn’t make sense to me because
1. It’s like Sansa would marry into the Tully family for support to take back the North
2. The Dornish are already burning to avenge Elia
3. Arianne is the heir to Dorne in her own right (and has had major plot around that), marrying the next King of the 7 kingdoms hardly makes sense for her.
BUT Aegon & Arianne’s plots are barreling towards each other and they very well might just get married to secure another plot point that I cannot think of right now. And I know that Aegon is doomed and Arianne survives (George, pls or else 🔪🔪) so that’s another reason why Aegon & Sansa can’t happen. And Jon being the Targeryen suitor holds so much more literary weight than a rando who has never had an impact on her or her emotions or her plot (apart from your brilliant points). Also, no I am not debating the “Dunk disturbed the Ashford Tourney so Sxn/dxr is the one for Sansa” because we’ve debated to death that even being granted the title of Maid does not mean anything like a betrothal in Westerosi society or has negative consequences (r + l & that whole war it started). Also, just because Dunk got in the middle of the Tourney does not mean that he got the girl in the end. Hope that helps. Moreover, Dunk’s asoiaf corollary is Brienne not sxn/dxr, so by their logic, briensa ftw!!!!!!!!!!
Anon, the way everyone ignored the affc outline just because it showed something the Sansa fandom had been (rightly) theorising for years now has me rolling on the floor 😂 the denial, the denial is so strong with these people, even the “neutrals”. Don’t even get me started on the BNFs. If something like this were leaked about xrya or dxny, it would have been front page news that breaks the asoiaf fandom containment lol.
Stark closest to Winterfell and takes north! C’mon now anon, don’t give these people a heart attack.
Yes well, there have been one too many people in this fandom (as is common in any other fandom *cough* jxnxryas *cough*) to reduce the characters to the ship but the block button is my lord and saviour. Shipping is so that we can bring out the best (or the worst) character traits in the people we’re shipping, not to water down the said character traits.
There’s a chance that jonsa doesn’t happen in the books or happens just in the subtext or whatever, and I’ll be fine with that as long as the stories for both Jon and Sansa have satisfying and empathetic progression. Though I would terribly like for it to happen just to dunk on the haters and the BNFs and the “skeptics” lol. I am trying to be a better person these days, but pettiness is my second daughter 🤪 and to add to this point, if jonsa doesn’t happen, that still won’t erase the heavy foreshadowing we’ve been seeing in the text till now. If some other ship had the Ashford theory, the Byronic connection, JONnel Stark marrying a girl named xrya or an ancestor Sansa Stark marrying a -whoever- in their lineage, the plot satisfaction, the narrative parallels, the textual connection, it would be considered canon by now. But no, since it’s Jon x Sansa and that is still somehow a pretty strong contender for breaking all your ships, they will close their eyes and call it a crack ship. Baby a crack ship is me and Oscar Isaac or Sasuke and Taylor Swift. But if Sasuke and Taylor had all of this evidence, it would, once again, be considered canon. Sigh, just take your Sansa hatred elsewhere man, we’re not in 2006 anymore.
Dude, I found older forums/metas a while back and there is nowhere that Sansa was mentioned w/o sxn/dxr. Sxn/sxn was just a given. It was canon, it was always going to happen and that’s just so reductive tbh. I’m v v grateful that the meta and fandom spaces (maybe just a small corner but that is enough for me) have evolved so much through the years otherwise I would get beaten here every day. It’s still toxic as hell though, with the level of trash metas that will give early asoiaf fandom a run for its money and at one point you just want to scream- you all realise that these are books, right? and we’re the readers! you’re not dxny or jon or tyrion or even fleabottom ragpickers! none of this is real 😭 i should not be coming here, armoured and with a sword, to defend my fav characters, i should be having fun here and exchanging stupid ideas 😭 but asoiaf fandom remains asoiaf fandom however well the ways of hating may have changed.
But please, always ramble in my ask box anon. I love reading your thoughts and it gives me a chance to ramble as well :)

another live action ATLA rant. who’s shocked.
so im seeing a lot of ppl saying things defending the show, and whatever, fine. i agree with some. this show is NOT all bad. not even close.
the one defense i CANNOT get behind is “the people that dont like it are mad they made changes and mad its not a complete copy of the original”. do not get me wrong, i am completely aware that i (and many others) had a bias coming into this. everyone loves the original show. so many of us are very protective and dont want to see changes, bc why change something that was perfect to begin with.
however, no fucking shit they were gonna make changes. duh. wtf would be the point of this if they werent gonna change ANYTHING.
just bc i/other people don’t like some of the changes, that doesn’t mean we dont have valid critiques and were just mad at the idea of any types of changes.
i, and many other people, really enjoyed some of the changes. everyone loves the kiyoshi addition. ive seen people praising the zuko saving his crew plot line (and i completely agree). from what ive seen, most people like that azula is in the show already (ive seen people hating on her actress tho which is 1 nuts bc she did an awesome job and 2 stemming from misogyny/pedophilia but thats besides the point). everyone loves the scene w lu ten’s funeral (personally i dont care for this one bc i think the show was showing iroh’s cards way too early. they clearly know hes a fan fav and they wanted to show the best of him from the very start. which i dont think is fair to his character.)
but anyways, point is, there were a handful of things this adaptation changed that people really like!!! me included!!!!!!!!
so when i see stuff like “people are being pessimistic and miserable and hating on the fact that its not exactly the same” (paraphrasing) i get so frustrated bc that is SO not true. im not just looking to hate something.
ur telling me, if u didnt watch the show beforehand, u wouldn’t have thought that omashu episode was a fucking mess? like genuinely. try ur hardest to think about this show as a standalone piece of work, like u suggest all the haters should do, and think about that episode. u would be so confused by the whirlwind of seemingly pointless character/plot dumping. like teo and his dad, jet and the freedom fighters, bumi, and the cave of two lovers stuff? why in gods name would alllllll of that be going on at one time? like that is just one example of the changes being messy. but when u have prior knowledge of the show, ur like “oh! thats jet! yeah i know him.” but in the context of the new show he is so removed from everything other than katara and has like 6 mins of screen time, and his presence feels so forced and near pointless (ok yeah he helped katara w her bending for like a sec).
yes i am a hater, but im not gonna hate the show (which i rly dont hate the show anyways) just for the fact that there is change!
but yes i am gonna hate when they changed something and the change is worse, or illogical, or messy, or pointless. which a LOT of these changes were.

hey this is zero percent in defense of neil gaiman—i don't trust celebrities enough for this to disappoint/shock me, i am not a fan of his regardless, + i've seen a decent amount of people corroborating that he's known to be really skeevy with young women, which would make it a pattern of behavior that lines up with the accounts from the victims—but obligatory note:
from what i know, the only publicly available source so far on this case is a podcast stylized akin to true crime where 1/2 of the people investigating is a terf. and that being a terf is significant mainly because a lot of the backlash coming towards neil gaimain atm is coming from radfems who are taking his vocal support of the trans community as evidence for this behavior and using it as fuel to be transphobic. especially because the audience and staff of tortoise skews conservative.
anyway again this is in no way defense of him, i just think these are serious allegations and it's fair to point out there can be bias in the reporting (if nothing else, the impression i've gotten from the podcast itself is that it feels exploitative of the victims). i might be wrong about it being the only source + the quotes taken from him coming directly from the podcast, that being said, do you know if there's been any other information on the matter?
Oh absolutely there will be bias in the reporting, there always is. Im going to listen to the podcast tomorrow because I'd prefer to hear it from the horses mouth yknow and make sure I am very clear on which bit of info is coming from where. Like there is absolutely going to be people (I've already seen them!) Weaponising this because of his support of trans rights, its just important to not let that distrust of *those* people become distrust of his accusers.
I'll be looking in to it a bit more tomorrow to see if there's any more info because it is gone midnight lol

If im honest really (as a fan of enstars since EN first release and have caught up with a few JP events except for like the super recent ones), I found most of the event stories and main story stuff uninteresting or just overall a headache to go through. Most of the time (through both official and fan translated) they would get me shaking my head asking "what the heck is going on??",or the story drags around that it feels both frustrating and just too boring for my brain to be able focus even, and just as I thought its gotta get better they will usually have some lame conclusion monologue going on that either my monkey brain is unintellectual to understand what's going or maybe its the writers are like that idk Im happy to see the pretty cgs though.
I would very much rather have someone summarize the stories to me even if it sacrifice for inaccuracies and biases. Ok here's an example, Antique Legends? The only thing I remember from the story is the fun interactions within Hokuto and his dad, which may be due to my bias with Hokuto but really that was the only truly entertaining part to me.
Speaking of characters I really don't care about character depth at all all I wanna see is them being cute in those little idol stories cause idol stories (yes I mean those short stories that are mostly like one - two chapter long) and scout stories are really what I look forward to the most personally cause they aren't over the top complicated or draggy like event stories and main stories, its not to say they are boring no in fact they are way more entertaining cause they make things that may seem so simple and mundane to something fun and also I love seeing them in wacky events too.
Also yes I did mention being a HokutoP though I would say I'm more of an overall drama clubP with other characters I like such as Aira and Naruchan (love calling her that personally) (and also I love every character in their many uniqueness and to be fair its just the bias demons that posses me). Now what do these guys have to do with this post? well to bring point that I know absolutely nothing about their 'complex sides' other than that they are sweet angels to me and I love seeing them in cute and funny situations, and guess what I still appreciate seeing them and hell I own a Wataru nui (planning to get a hokke one too soon) because even though yaydadad the whole war thing and his 'masks' I personally find him super fun even if I'm aware that he may just be putting on an act (plus I also have a mini white party dress for him that I make him wear whenever I went to anything fancy like my when I went to see my cousin perform on a orchestra concert).
To bring my final point I personally think that enstars best strength or interest for me is the idol / scout stories because even with their cookie cutter like surface layer personalities they manage to even be more memorable and overall fun to read. Oh and stories aside I adore most of the cards although they get bland sometimes and most of the songs are pretty good in my opinion love trickster songs muah. Anyhow thats just how I feel like enjoying the game and to be fair I prefer to enjoy it alone rather than to have a mutual around cause ye I'm that those type people who enjoy being alone and find a lot of people to be a waste of a space personally, well I have a lot in my mind currently as per usual but they most aren't enstars related so for now imma really stop myself here right now though I may come back here for more confessions idk depends on me I guess (I will also be surprised if you read through this entire thing and if you do thank you and may God bless you my good friend).

Hi hi hi!
Reporting live and procrastinating responsibilities :). So heres my rundown, pretty much matchy matchy w yours, naturally: Generally the video vibes almost 💯 fit with the allegations 🙃. Please bear w the rambling thoughts in no particular order. Im not sure how one could possibly cohesively recap ALL THAT lol. Ok it blows my mind how much they personally had to catch up on w one another! God damn babes, you havent talked much if at all in nearly a month. Again it screams that there was more of a relationship (ending poorly).. Even friends moving apart prob wouldve had more contact over that time. Sometimes I wonder how they dont realize what they reveal by what they leave ~unsaid/not explained! Though G’s “really bad breakup” comment felt weighted given their situation. To me much of the injury discussion came across as carry over from the In The Mirror. With G making a point to say nice things (good memories of playing together;tearing up when Liz got hurt; not being wholly herself as a player w/out Kitley;the frustration at team reaction after the game following the injury; belief that Liz will recover/be drafted etc.). And G’s words still feel to me like a way of her dealing with some guilt which she cant quite yet express or process. Especially considering her adding stuff about being w the Kitley fam lately and helping move Liz’s stuff ha. If a person ever questioned something going down between L&G, I’ll say alarm bells went off when L described her night following the injury and staying over w Cayla. In such a low moment, poor girlie really couldnt manage being at her own place thats shared w one of her closest pals. Ooof. However, on the whole, they sounded more comfortable at times than I expected. In fact the convo sometimes got surprisingly open and loose - gals dont tell me that we had a bit of liquid courage before recording. ;) And it did stand out to me that L asked the “fans” on multiple occasions to just be decent and grateful for what they had + be understanding of decision making under the situation, but stopped short of telling people to leave G alone (which, given everything we’re led to believe, fair play hun). My big takeaway was that they seem to be taking this time of big adjustment as also a new beginning to possibly recover a friendship. Clearly theres still issues to work thru, but perhaps theyve reached a more settled/amicable place? Or at least were just able to deal w each other long enough to provide us all w a semi closure pod 😐. But heres hoping for more future content, as they hinted at! Oh and as someone who works w/in college athletics, I was very sympathetic to their comments throughout re change. Its a crazy industry, stuff happens in the blink of an eye and you do just have to deal with that ish. The harsh reality of the current state of things is that one rarely gets a neat, happy closure.
Happy Sunday to you bestie, hope its fantastic! -☕️
Reporting live and procrastinating is so real, like me asf fr fr.
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING. Like they seemed so out of the loop when it came to each other's life and that's just so weird to me? I mean I get it could just be regular friends drifting but that wasn't the ~vibe~ at all to me and maybe again it's the allegations bias but it was just very much giving exes.
Hardcore agree with the Georgia stuff because I thought some of what she was saying felt a bit like an overcompensation, an apology of sorts to make up in a way for anything else that *might* have happened. Honestly Georgia being so nice, no shade, doesn't really fit the dynamic from before where sometimes Georgia's snark was just mean to me really.
Every new bit of info/content, I just continue to feel terrible for Liz. And I think her staying at Cayla's really gave away the depth of how much has happened between her and Georgia. And again yeah it could be a friend breakup but it just feel a little too serious for that.
Obviously I don't know a timeline, if there even is one, but this podcast gave me the vibes that if they were together, it's actually been a decent while since they broke up and are now in a place where they can co-exist in an amicable manner. I don't know if we'll ever get another podcast or if they'll actually be able to be in a genuine friendship again but I think they're in a good enough place and I do love that for them.

JYANI ANON 😭 i love it literally did not hit me that it was referring to johnny
but omg i was so fascinated by johnny’s ability to pole dance in his first lesson like i casually do it and hell the way johnny inverted and all in his first lesson… insane literally an advanced level move plus he was so respectful about it i was so appreciative hehe (also watching him and mark do flying yoga was so fun cause i do something similar too) AND OK to be fair i used to be an nctzen when 7th sense just came out…. and dreamzen when they first debuted till like candlelight but now im just wayzennie (yangqi girl 🤭)
ok let me tell you about my crazy biny/n dream so it starts off with y/n and seunghan being friends and y/n went to look for him and then she met wonbin who was like so downbad he was like “wow… can you call me sometimes” and y/n was like “?? i dont even have your number” ok then some time passes and like in y/n’s dorm, her roommates decided to do smth which led to a power outage and y/n just wanted to sleep so she went to seunghan’s dorm room to sleep and his roommate was WONBIN which y/n did not know about…
cw // a little nsfw
so wonbin who was a light sleeper was like ?? why are you (seunghan) back so late and he didnt know it was y/n then she just went to sleep in seunghan’s bed and wonbin literally sandwiched her into the bed thinking she was seunghan and started touching her chest and y/n started screaming and then wonbin realised omg that’s NOT seunghan… so then y/n shouted PERVERT and he was like “IN MY DEFENCE WHY ARE YOU HERE” and so sue told him about what happened and then seunghan came in and saw them in the weirdest position like y/n lying flat face down with my body in between wonbin’s legs while he was kneeling down (if you get what i mean) then they had some weird situationship where they would casually inappropriately touch each other and do things friends dont do… and y/n asked wonbin what’s their status and wonbin did not know so she avoided him…
and then this part gets weird cause one day seunghan and y/n went to a dinosaur museum ??? and she saw wonbin with another girl and he was jealous because y/n was out with seunghan then i woke up lol
anyway omg my anon sends are so long enjoy reading it i do hope bin does wait for y/n at her doorstep crying with snot and tears
this is the second ask ive gotten today that had some ancient nct text on.... that jcc episode ..... goddamn. johnny is actually my bias wrecker in 127 KJHASDJKHASJKDHASD cus my bias is take a wild guess who (hint: its not mark)
anyway ur dream can be an alternate universe within the at universe 😭 LMFAOOOOO HOW DID U DREAM A WHOLE AT MOVIE 😭

r u white
yes I am. which is why, again again, my main problem is with the way the audience is treating charlie & not Abbott. & why my main issues with Abbott are the way the white teachers treat him. & why my examples of racism & ableism in the school system were both real life experiences from other people I've directly talked to either in the last week or growing up.
its why I think it's totally fair if brunson hates always sunny & finds it morally gross (which I only think based off of her talk show interviews night of the crossover, I obviously don't know her inner thoughts) & why I'm confused why she worked with always sunny /&/ why always sunny worked with her. neither one of them should've had to do that if they didn't actually like each other. she deserved to work with a show she actually liked that doesn't have a history of specifically anti-black racism, amoung other cruelties, a show she could be proud to tell other people to go watch the other half of. hearing that she hates always sunny makes it hard for me to watch the cross over, not because I don't think that's totally fair, but because I spend the whole time thinking "she doesn't wanna be doing this. is she being forced into it? is the episode worse off for that?"
if I've offered a specific criticism that is racist, anti black specifically but also generally, I'm happy to apologize & correct. I recognize that as a white person im predisposed to be harsher on black people, on black shows, & to judge them in racist ways. even while noting it's not rly my place to criticize the black teachers or the show as a whole, I can still be racist in tone, content, bias, etc. thats why my criticism has pretty specifically not been about that, because none of that is my place to speak on.
what i am trying to speak on, what I can help do is give a voice to my wife who did face ableist abuse through literacy interventions, & those id spoken to in the past who faced racist abuse through literacy interventions, by even just noting that it happens and noting the ways that when adults learn English they're infantalized for it. I can speak against the ways the fans are treating charlie. because even if none of those things are relevant to the Abbott elementary episode they ARE relevant to the ableism the fans are now doing.

i really wish 4 sum expansion on the reeve bein an 'inspire' in ff7.. obvis i no it was only ever conceptually but it kinda interested me.. in my hc inspire is a materia n i think dirge implies reeve n caits connection is mental in some way but honestly? cant rmbr and i dont care ab that game either way.. nyway mentally controlled perhaps but animated through materia.. ff7 og implies reeve directly speaks through cait (moving away seemingly fr privacy in the highwind to directly speak to heidegger & scarlet.. slipping n speaking accented (implying he speaks through cait literally n cait isnt just putting thoughts to word) in my head inspire is a materia tht animates where reeve is controlling it in a sephiroth esque way.. referencing his 'will' controlling jenova reeves 'will' controlling cait sith but he still has to speak for him... again im not a fan of doc or bcc.. kinda meh on cc (zack fair bias but cc plot hater) .. im largely making stuff up fr my own hcs sake but we kinda see ff7og jump btween cait n reeve so we know reeve isnt literally controlling cait so itz kinda my take on the mental link we no they have.. srry gonna b horrible here fur a sec my guy tht joined shinra n climbed the ranks with good intention and high hopes but became jaded by shinras internal corruption n was pushed to the brink after the plate collapsed i think the GS themed dolls n cait siths persona are a representative of who he is at his core and unfortunately its a little silly......... his scottish accent is a reference 2 his parents accents so we no cait sith is personal to Some degree.... god forbid a guy work a 9-5 n still be full of whimsy..i like WRO conceptually but im gna go out on a few hot takes n just shoot down what i absolutely hate
>wros military.. dnt like the solution to ff7s critique of shinras ultramilitarism is just the military but under the right people
>funded by rufus shinra.. srry his death being retconned pisses me off lol.. fuck no
>ac establishing barrets mako alternative is..................... oil? the wros alternative is oil.......??!??!
cool concept but i think the wro allocated shinra's (company and family) abundant wealth to construction (they oversaw edge's construction) but to alternative sources of fuel.. windmills in cosmo canyon solar panels in costa del sol hydropower in nibelheim the possibilities are endless.. barret directly oversees construction cait sith tells the party he evacuated midgar to the slums and we know marlene and elmyra fled to kalm presumably lots of others did too.. housing refugee support and renewable energy construction r priorities over a full military.. n listen i dont think its entirely realistic not to have anyone keeping people safe in a world with regular fiends escaped dangerous experiments and just general monsters but WRO doesnt have a "military" military.. just WRO force thats less militaristic and more.. task forcey.. anyway after shinra's fall i dont think reeve really needs cait sith outside of combat.. since i already hc inspire to b materia i think hed b a prolific materia user.. perhaps not the most fit to fight being in his 40s and having worked a desk job for a majority of his life....... but it would be funny if he used cait sith similarly to how lulu fights w her dolls......... and being (like lulu) black mage...esque.. the way aerith is white mage esque
probably has a gun too. just to be safe

Thanks for responding,
They do not directly say I should like things because their "gritty and tragic", but these people I encountered seem to have a big bias to things ending tragically in order to be "meaningful", and to be fair it was purposeful.
But what got me always so angry was how nasty and pharisaical they were about it and how arrogant they are to any disagreement with an underlying attitude of "we know better than you so its different when its us"
For example, I disliked in RWBY Pyrrha dying and her and Jaune being tragic characters, I've been told the reasons and I get them. But I honestly don't care and seen it many times before and grown fed up with them. So I am writing a reimagined AU fanfiction(implied to be a world set in the Narnia multiverse) and an original story that recycles concepts from RWBY among other things that end different, with purpose and meaning both with overarching Christian themes.
This is because I saw, especially in retrospect, what RWBY, its world, characters, and ships I wanted could have been instead in a story I saw worth telling and I was frustrated and disappointed that it wasn't.
Apparently according to these "literary intellectuals" I Im not allowed to do that because thats "derivative" and "hostile" along with that being "Christian Propaganda" and because the Dork Knight and Kind Isolated Amazonian ending tragically in one fantasy/sci-fi epic narrative worked, thats the end-all-be-all for that kind of concept unless it was a romcom/sitcom because they seem to have everything figured out and I didn't. Even though they have no real idea what my big picture was, nor did they think they needed to.
"It's what we know to be true because we said it."
And I apparently was weak, cowardly, and even crazy for thinking they could be something else. They kept making out like there was something wrong with me. It honestly made me feel like was crazy and evil.
Because people like me apparently can't think for ourselves, let alone feel for ourselves. So we, "the wrong people" need to be told by "the right people" what to feel, what to think, what to find "meaningful and interesting" and what not to find "meaningful and interesting"
And often those very same people are praising "His Dark Materials Trilogy" which was basically “Anti-Narnia” written by a staunch atheist who had a big beef with Narnia and had said things about CS Lewis and Christianity that were the textbook definition of "hostile"
Because its not wrong when "The right people" do it I guess and its bad when you are not one of the "intellectual elite.” Much like Jadis and Andrew, they apparently don't need to follow the same rules as us.
It just seems to me even with tragic things are "objective" these snobs ultimately don't care, they just want to use that along with the "purposefulness/meaning" behind the tragedy because it gets the outcome that they want and allows them to bask in their self-righteousness and being "so hopeful while being aware of the real world".
And when it came to me having me to see things "objectively" it often just kept resulting in me forcing myself to watch things I clearly wasn't enjoying and leaving me angry, bitter, and miserable all to win the approval of "the right people" it felt like I was just dancing around like a monkey for them. Which also made me think of the pharisees
They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.-Matthew 23:4
They always kept asking the likes of me to give them the benefit of the doubt and good faith, but kept refusing to give the likes of me the same courtesy. It just kept going one way and they kept reaping all of the benefits.
It's why I get irritated when I hear that I need to be "objective" and “original,” because last time I did, I just ended up being bossed around by people who just kept policing my thoughts, feelings, and creativity because everything I felt and thought was apparently wrong no matter what it was. What I thought was up was actually down and what I thought was down was actually up.
Which is probably why The Magician's Nephew are among the Narnia books that resonates with me so much, it shows the difference between such shallow people and genuine believers in what they say.
Hey, it’s me again
I know this was a while back but I just remembered what you said about cultivating tastes
My unwillingness to do so cane from my experience from those who lectured me to do the same but they themselves did not practiced what they preached
"You need to curate your tastes if your tired of being disappointed with shows"
Fine *does so*
"Ugh, you're so close minded and immature, why don't you take risks, broaden your horizons, and cultivate your tastes?"
Okay, why don't you do that too?
"Well I prefer the broad and nitty gritty things tragically, which are broad and risky by default so I don't need to do that."
It just felt like people like me had to keep bending over backwards and follow all these rules and regulations while those who preferred things tragically could just do whatever and act however they want
They were kinda like Uncle Andrew from The Magician’s Nephew, they have these deeper knowledge of things and are not bound to the same rules as us ordinary people
Hey, I'll be honest, I can't find my answer to your original ask and I don't fully remember our conversation (I vaguely remember the context, though!)
I mean, Uncle Andrew was wrong and being ridiculous when he said that rules don't apply to people like himself. But I guess that's your point.
I don't understand. So people are telling you that you should like things that are "gritty and tragic?" And that that is where your deficiency in taste is? Thats silly. A story is not high-quality because it has "grit" or "tragedy" in it. It has high quality elements if the "grit" or "tragedy" support the main point of the story well. But tragedy or grit for the sake of shock-jock emotion-grabbing is a waste of time and energy.
Also, I'm not advocating for adjusting your tastes so that you like disappointing shows. I don't know who is doing that, but whoever they are, that's a silly goal. It's like telling someone who got sick because they ate a whole can of spray-cheese, "you know what, it's just because you're not used to it. Eat another can of spray-cheese and you'll gradually start liking it."
Okay, well, that's a terrible goal to have. I don't want to have a taste for something that is bad. I don't want to like spray cheese, which tastes awful and also has no nutritional value and is going to make me sick. There's no point in me liking it. It's a good thing that my body's (my tastes') natural response is to reject something that is bad. Why would I want to dull it? Disappointment in a show that is poorly made and has no value is a defense mechanism that you shouldn't disable.
All I'm saying is, why are you disappointed in the show? Is it because it's poorly made? Is it because the story has no point, or makes its point badly? <- Those are good reasons to be disappointed in the show.
Or is it just because the story doesn't have the kind of "flavors" you are used to liking? Maybe the tragedy serves the story (like Sydney Carton dying in a Tale of Two Cities) but you don't like to feel sad for any reason, (even though feeling sad in the case of A Tale of Two Cities can lead you to appreciating the lesson better) so you don't read/watch that story because it's not your "flavor." <- That's an example of a not-very-good reason for being disappointed in a story.
And ultimately, who cares what other people are doing or liking? Figure out what is good, true, beautiful—objectively, whether anyone believes it or not. Then measure everything by that, whether everyone else does or not. And shrug off people's badly-thought-out reasons for liking or disliking something.
I believe and have found it to be true that God invented storytelling by inventing this reality we're living in. And His story has a point. And everything He put in His story—the setting, the characters, the mood, the way it all works—points back to the point of the story, and it does so in a beautiful, engaging way, with no shortcuts or laziness in craft. Therefore, all human-made stories are echoes of that. Some of our echoes are really good, close resemblances to God's story, because they support the main point of their story in an engaging way. But some are not, because they don't. It's a simple metric to measure things by.
But some people's standard is just "does the story entertain me?" And that's a fine sub-standard. Stories can't be engaging if they're not, on some level, entertaining. But it's a terrible ULTIMATE standard—because your tastes in entertainment can be bad, or change, or be inconsistent. Other people's standards are "does the story make me feel something?" But that's another poor ultimate standard. Because an emotional bit of music can make you feel just about anything, for a moment, even if the story behind it makes no sense. Better to ask, "what is the story making me feel, about what?"
Anyway. Thats what I believe. So I don't give two shakes of a lamb's tail what other people think I should like or dislike. I mean, I'll consider it, if they have good reasons for me to like or dislike something. But the point is, I know what I believe about the world. So I know what I believe about storytelling. And I'm trying to train my tastes to match up with that—regardless of who agrees or disagrees with me.

thoughts. abt death note and intelligence
d=eathnote doesnt portray intelligence the capitalistic way i initially thought it did.
Light's backstory is that he is the top student in all of Japan/L is the smartest detective in the world. We start off with an impression that inelligence is the most important value to show. (But there's nuance!!)
We have the ranking system at Wammy's, which is used to test genii little kids (I don't have a ton of confidence in this type of thing from my experience with testing and my understanding of bias in IQ Testing) ...we don't know how exactly the test works, but is used to test kids for skill equivalent to L's.
Having a ranking system for kid's intelligence is such an awful idea to begin with. Especially if they are aware of the rank. Its inhumane and leads them to beleive their worth is based on their intelligence output. (NOT UNLIKE THE MFKING AMERRICAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM) but anyways...
So already the show is centering reasoning ability/intelligence as a value for these kids. (And I think it's fair to say that as a result, other values are deprioritized, like social/emotional intelligence (for example L talks about being childish and wanting to win))
And we see that intelligence increased a characters audience perceived standing on a surface level basis, since on first look, intelligence is what moves the plot.....!
But! While reasoning ability DOES impact a characters importance/value to the show, social intelligence/ a lack of reasoning ability DOES NOT.
Which is fucking WEIRD, but if we go back to L for a second, he has. no social intelligence. Like. My man doesn't wear shoes. He wiggles his toes around and in general is a weird ass dude. But he's essential to the show, and his lack of social skills/presentation is overlooked by fellow characters and the audience, in favor of his smart lil brain.
There's also Misa, who has high social intelligence but low reasoning skills (i personally think she has average intelligence, im just comparing her relatively, and on their weird-and-makes-no-sense intelligence scale). She is loved as an idol, but treated as a dumbass by the detectives. For her, whatt i have seen is that her high social intelligence is overlooked by her lack of intellectual (?) intelligence... And yet Misa makes huuuuge contributions to the plot, and in general is a very important character.
the only time i felt there was real depth of conversation was towards the end when L was about to die and it was raining, where light and L talk more metaphoircally and abstractly with each other, and we see social intelligence. this was a key moment where we saw characterr to character interaction not based around reasoning, but as a casual setting.
since these ttypes of conceptual, abstract scenes are the minority in this show, its clear that the back and forth of l/lights tthought process is really the central value. idk. i think its kinda stupid and they coul dhave added much more depth to the characters.
I think that the decision to highlight intelligence is definetley what makes it deathnote. so yk. it is what it is. but also, they could have handled the treeatment of "less smart" characters with more care. they could have gone deeper into the emotional effect of these decisions.
not to mention the social interactions between characters... the ahllucinations that L experienced beofre deatth were just. so well done. and because of the staunchness of the est of thte show. those moments were sort of coveted and craved. idk. maybe thats a goood thing? who knows.
im also not going to discount the small funny moments in the show. like where L is beig especially awkward or creepy, i think those scenes give LIFE.
But I wish they had more respect for misa and didnt fuckiung rruin her towards the end.
I don know if this makes any fuckin sense. If anyone has additional thoughts realted to this let me know!!

The Sunne in Splendour is well-written book from a technical point of view but I cannot stand how the majority of people seem fo think that it's 1) fair and 2) accurate. It is a blatant romantisization of Richard III that twists virtually every event in favor of him in a way that makes it fundamentally biased and unrealistic from a historical point of view, but also deeply illogical from a writing point of view. And the way it treats Elizabeth Woodville (and a bunch of others, although as usual with Ricardians, Elizabeth Woodville gets the major brunt of it) is sickening.
I've seen so many people defend it by saying "it's just fiction! it's her interpretation and it's just a story, its escapism!" ... except I don't think the vilificafion and demonization of a woman who's been slandered JUST AS MUCH IF NOT MORE than Richard, and whose negative reputation (along with her family's) is doubled down upon rather than challenged while his is completely rebabilitated, is particularly escapist. Not to mention that this is history. I get that it's a novel and a story, but it's based on history. Its black and white approach, its dismissal of historical facts and beliefs in favor of it's main character gives it an automatic bias that cannot be trusted. Not to mention, Penman has claimed that she based whatever she wrote off reports during that time...im sorry, but what reports lmao?? Most major reports during that time were really not thrilled with him, I guess those are just dismissed? Not to mention, this book has ABSOLUTELY shaped how people view history. It has a huge audience and people absolutely incredibly uninformed views are absolutely based on it ... which is what Penman wanted as she mentioned very clearly she wanted to deliver a "new perspective" on this historical figure, and presents this new perspective as gospel truth.
I also have to laugh at the author being "sympathetic and supportive of the House of York" because they are not. they are sympathetic and supportive of RICHARD III, that's not the same. The Woodvilles, Edward IV, Edward V - they're all portrayed terribly. And it's once again made into a York VS Tudor conflict ignoring the fact that it was in actuality a splintering of the House of York (which Richard begun) and that the reason H7 was viewed as such a powerful candidate was precisely because so many Yorkists supported him, he literally started off as a figurehead for their cause after he declared he'd marry a Yorkist princess. RICHARD III lost. The "House of York" very much continued and, in the case of Edward IV's family (the first Yorkist king who got the dynasty to the throne) they very much won
It's a clear historical bias that's presented as a so called "thought-provoking well-researched undoubted new perspective on history" and it's deeply aggravating how it's taken as an undoubted unchallenged truth. I really can't see it as anything other than a story that's obsessed with Richard III trying to mask itself as reasonable
Hi! I have not read The Sunne in Splendour (I don't know if I ever will tbh) but I have read some other ricardian novels, and I can tell you those problems you pointed out are not exclusive to that book at all. Here's my review of Rosemary Jarman's 1970s novel which apparently inspired both Penman and Gregory (Richard did nothing wrong ever to the point of being a dull cardboard cutout and Elizabeth Woodville is a wickedly wicked witch etc). And yeah, the problem with historical fiction that gets as big as Mantel, Penman, Gregory etc is that it can shape the perceptions of an entire generation. If people would only separate fiction from history, yet I've seen so many on social media cite TSIS as their source when discussing history, and that's when they're not citing Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time, another fiction book. I think the fact that those authors insist that they followed the sources ''''closely''', imparting an aura of truthfulness to their work, is also to blame — and that's not to get into the merit of whether following biased contemporary sources blindly is being truthful to history or not.

unpopular opinion- rossi gets more hate than jj and jj deserves it way more than rossi
hmm i tentatively agree with this. rossi has a lot of problems of his own: he’s played by a horrible actor, his mob/military background is boring as shit, he’s a misogynist (he’s gotten better but im p sure thats just him getting milder in his old age) and oh yeah he’s fucking racist aljdlajd so its hard for me to straight up say he doesnt deserve the hate he gets
that being said i feel like people arent necessarily mad at him for the right reasons? like i barely hear anyone talk ab any of the above, mostly its that he’s just mean to reid. which… i mean he’s not not mean to reid. but if we’re comparing apples to apples, i think he’s not nearly as bad as jj in that sense. it may just be a matter of personal opinion: i happen to think his jokes land better and overall his humor seems to come from a better place. it feels like he jokes around for the sake of the joke bc he sees an opportunity to be funny, as opposed to jj who seems to be making fun of reid as a way to seek validation from others that she’s better than him
this may just be me finding a snarky old man less threatening than a blonde haired blue eyed mean girl, but idk there just seems to be a difference between “we found him on the steps of the fbi” and the annoyed faces jj makes every time reid speaks. one is clearly a joke, obviously an exaggeration, and spoken with a bemused fondness. the other plays into reid’s insecurities, is only meant to be funny to others, and comes from genuine annoyance. this is just the energy i get from them, but idk how my many years of anti jj bias plays into the interpretation of their actions
i guess its bc, as much as rossi makes fun of reid, they’re backhanded compliments more than anything and unlike jj he’ll actually give reid credit (showing him off to his friend w the crossword puzzles). he acknowledges reid’s strengths even as he puts him down, while jj seems to tolerate him. i think rossi plays the grumpy grandpa role well, and it works bc he doesnt take himself to seriously either. he can take a joke when jj would just get defensive
but that confidence is also part of whats frustrating about him. he’s frequently wrong and stuck in the old ways, but still feels justified and a sense of pride. jj rejects her roots (she doesnt do it well, but at least she’s vocal ab her disappointment w her childhood) but rossi frequently reminisces ab “the good ol days” whether its back in his early bau days w gideon, back in his days w the military, back in his days w his mob buddies, or back when he was growing up in general. jj doesnt like to admit she’s wrong bc she’s defensive and has an inferiority complex. rossi doesnt like to admit he’s wrong bc, more often than not, he still thinks he’s right
personally i agree w u bc i find jj way more annoying. ive also grown weary of the fandom pretending she’s an angel when i have yet to hear anyone point out any redeeming qualities she may have (spoiler alert: there are none). meanwhile i dont really hear anyone talk positively ab rossi… not that he deserves it at all aldhakhd its just makes it more obvious that people like jj for no reason. ultimately it is just a matter of opinion, i just dont think many people bother defending rossi so its less irritating when he clearly does something wrong. pointing out jj’s flaws feels like an uphill battle against people plugging their ears, digging their heels, and pretending she’s perfect.
ultimately rossi is just a goofy old man set in his ways, and its hard to blame him for that. hate to use such an overused word, but he’s just a boomer aldhskhc and on the boomer scale he’s not that bad akdhkshd. but jj is young. part of being young is learning to grow from your mistakes. she’s not even willing to admit she makes any. i think thats why its harder for me to forgive her akdhskh which may not be fair: rossi gets the “he doesnt know any better” excuse from the “cant teach an old dog new tricks” cliche (as problematic as it is). jj is far more stubborn and abrasive, which is less forgivable when she’s still supposed to be growing as a person. she’s stunting her own growth and idk if she could ever admit it

dude ur so right, i love susie so much for this. shes empathetic naturally, and shes only cruel and antagonistic because of her environment and how she was treated, its a defence to protect herself. shes driven so heavily by fear yet she is so very brave and allows herself to change.
she only is defensive against the unknown, because she fears them this is always in the form of agression and without context makes her seem like she wants to destroy everything (to be fair if it means security and safety, complete annihilation of a perceived threat is not beyond her, as we see in chapter one), She attacks against the labels of a “hero” or “saviour” because she is scared she wont live up to them, or alternatively it forces her into a situation where she does not have control, which is scary.
bless susie is actually very paranoid, and scared of a lot like a cat who lashes out when they feel threatened. her hiding the first time they go into the dark world in the cupboard is one of my fav moments cuz her emotions are flat out on the table.
and her frustration out of not being able to solve puzzles because shes stressed and lacks the self confidence is painfully relatable. like in ch1 she avoids puzzles because shes insecure and tries them one time, fails, a massive blow to her self confidence and gives up because she believes she cannot do it, but after kris teachers her how to do the puzzle in the dungeon, she remembers it and BOOM confidence up. she then feels slightly more comfy w things involving mental skill, and outshines berdly in the puzzle in the cyberworld, because she learned, from how kris did it like before and then applied it, because she knew last time she could do it. shes literally so real for this, when im tired and insecure i cannot do exams or tests for the life of me.
additionally looking at the puzzle section when we learn berdlys super mega epic backstory (berdly voice) susie just doesnt have any of his shit, purely because i think apart from the fact hes just annoying shes so frustrated with his inconsiderate nature, and how he is so hypocritical. see, susie knows who she is, and when people (lancer) appreciate her for it she is very happy, she knows shes mean and scary, and she knows shes strong, and flaunts it because its true: susie is the strongest in the party physically. BUT shes very humble with her intelligence, and i have a hunch she doesnt like berdlys arrogance because, well, its misplaced, he cannot back it up. he insults peoples intelligence to build himself up. where berdly hurts others to make himself feel stronger, susie does the same, but she believes its righteous because its to feel safe, and shes nice when it matters right?
i need to clean up that last point because berdlys cruelty(in a way) towards others keeps paralleling susie and i dont wanna think through that rn
going back to susies intent, i agree with you completely, she defo doesnt hold ill intent, but its hard to not seem antagonistic toward a world that is scary because its unknown. susie chooses violence to keep her fear at bay.
(there was so much berdly slander in this, bro.. icl i kinda love berdly because hes so stupid, and i also do some of his speech patterns.. hes so silly its kind of funny. loads of people find him annoying and i get that but ive delt w so many annoyjng people ive learned to find them endearing bc theyre just having fun. hes also improving so we cant be mad at him
also i have a slight bias towards susie because i make assumptions her homelife is neglectful and thats why shes like this, and im a sucker for a hard outer shell and a soft little baby on the inside, like cmon u cant tell me susie isnt an absolute sap, have u seen her with literally anyone whos nice to her??)
even as susie lashes out against the world and tries to push people away, even as she's furious about the position she was placed in, i don't think susie actually has any ill-will against the world.
even berdly, who mocks her and acts so high and mighty (likely participating in the sorts of susie bullying that goes on behind her back, like "you suz, you lose!") she is willing to treat with respect the second he gets off his high horse. she still doesn't like him, which is her right as he's been nothing but a dick to her, but her anger towards him is solely out of his mistreatment of her. she doesn't hate him, doesn't think he doesn't deserve the same rights as anyone else, doesn't want harm to come to him. sure, she wants to knock him down a peg, but again, he's been nothing but a dick to her, and she stops as soon he stops. all susie wants is for others to respect her and her rights, or leave her alone.
the only person she ever really seemed to hate was kris, but that's some unknowable lore thing, and it's still something she was willing to give up as soon as she saw that kris was good and cared about her.
susie has a lot of empathy, which you might not expect from her, if you only saw her bully persona. she remembers the other person.
i dont exactly know where im going with this, but its just a thought i had.
