° just smol headcannons before I get swamped with work for the next week (â ÂŽâ  â .â  â .Ì«â  â .â  â `â )
Also, spoilers.
- Unknowingly, player has been given the title of 'Aeon of Guidance' (coined by wonderful @amimo3, thank you) and is generally known as the main driving force behind the Trailblazers' journey - (it was originally the Aeon of Akivili, which represents the Path of The Trailblaze, but they're dead last I checked, so for the sake of this AU we'll be the main force now but like in honor of the dead Aeon), to save planets from Stellarons.
- Naturally, as time progresses with you looking out for the team, they learned to trust your decisions more. Like, if there's a hard choice they have to make they kinda expect you to make the choice (and it is you making the choice from your screen), or like hinting at them what to do. Welt and Himeko seemd like untrusting at first, but after some time they warmed up a bit and consider you as the 3rd parent of these dolts (HUH).
- The Trailblazers now get more attention than they've ever had and it's a mix of pros and cons, really. People had been contacting them like crazy until Herta helped them from blocking some of the offending/nagging ones. And let's not even start at the countless gifts appearing like crazy at the places they've been into and the people that swarm them after saving their planet/ship (for now it's only the space station/belobog).
- At the Herta Space Station, Asta placed a small room dedicated for the new Aeon filled with offerings of food (which get cleaned everyday), trinkets and generally notes and books (it was mentioned by the Trailblazer that they like collecting books and other collectibles). Unlike the people from Belobog, however, the researches are not that deep in worshipping because they're still scientists (you know how in our world scientists don't believe in god rule because it may hamper in their research? kinda like that).
- At Belobog, which the Trailbalzers saved with the Aeon, people are much more open on focusing their worship on them. Bronya has built a small temple at the Administrative District and one at the Underworld (with the help of Wildfire and the Silvermane Guards). Due to the place being trapped in eternal winter, people mostly give small, metal trinkets akin to snowflake (guess who thought of making this a business? spoiler: it's sampo.), and the wealthier ones give books as offerings (books are pricey in Belobog, I'd assume?).
(Trailblazer collects all of these, don't worry. Gotta complete the inventory y'all.)
- Let's go at Xianzhou Luofu for a moment.
- I feel like at Xianzhou Luofu, people are not that.. open at worshipping a new Aeon, since they had an ugly past from the Aeon of Abundance, and now they mainly worship the Aeon of Hunt because it's the one who've helped them fight the Mara that plagues the population of said ship.
- But then the Trailblazers came, and they are aware of the new Aeon which saved Jarilo-VI, but again, new Aeon might just be a new danger for them that's why they initially rejected their request to help them from the Stellaron.
- Jing Yuan though, he's intrigued. First, the Divination Commission cannot get information about the new Aeon (Fu Xuan cannot see anything, like Mona trying to peek at Venti's constellation and her clothes got ripped instead). It's been millenia since the discovery of the last Aeon, and now, a new, young one? How? Why? And why only now they deigned to help the universe? Shouldn't they have done that a long time ago? He surmised that, given they've only appeared when the MC woke up, they must be connected with each other - and this influenced him to consider their offer.
- What he did not expect, however, was the Aeon's gaze lingering on him even the Trailblazers left the room.
MC and co. be like: What? Where their Grace?
Ppl inside the meeting room: *sweating bullets* What is happening? Why is an Aeon staring at us?
- THEY DIDN'T KNOW READER IS SIMPING FOR JING YUAN. SUE ME LOL
- And then POV switched to Dan Heng hurriedly leaving the express after learning Blade is at the Xianzhou, and then meeting Sushang and Luocha.
- Luocha, in his credit, easily masked his shock after feeling the intense gaze from this.. Aeon? Is this the new rumored Aeon of Guidance that is folowing the people from the Astral Express? (YOU CANNOT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE THAT HE DOESN'T KNOW WHO DAN HENG REALLY IS.) Sushang at the other hand, almost fell on her knees, but wisely did not comment about it.
- Dan Heng has mixed feelings about the Aeon switching gaze to him and his current acquiantances, texting the MC but the message is still being unsent. For now, the three of them navigate the Mara-infested place towards the main city, hoping that Blade hasn't done anything to his *cough* found family *cough* yet.
- HE CAN ALSO FEEL THE AEON'S INTENSE GAZE AT LUOCHA LOL (re: simp re: re: le simp) he thought it was because of the coffin, lol, so naturally he's more inclined to be cautious of it. Sushang is busy guiding them, however, and seemed not aware of what's happening.
- After another fight his phone chimed, and he checked it hurriedly, sighing in relief when he learned they haven't met Blade. MC also checked if the Aeon was on him, because they lost them for quite some time now, and he told them he's with other people and he's on his way to them, and that yes, the gaze is directed at him right now.
PLS HOYO JUST LET MY BABIES MEET AGAIN
- Idk about y'all but I chose to drink the medicine that blind doctor from Xianzhou gave me - so I'll translate that as MC questioning the decision if they're really going to drink it, but like being 50/50 about it but it's you and there's no way you'd put them in danger, so they took the medicine at the end.
- For the Stellaron Hunters, you became some sort of.. an enigma, because Elio - for all his depiction of future this and destiny that, haven't really spoken even one thing about you. And that's, well, suspicious. I know, I know, they're not supposed to question Elio, but the thought lingers. Like, is Elio not talking about you because you're useless to their mission and for that, doesn't matter? Or there's some more deeper reason?
- While Kafka and Silver Wolf met the new Aeon, Blade was already at Xianzhou Luofo at that point, so he missed it. But then the cutscene of him talking with Jing Yuan and Yanqing was shown, and he felt it. That warm, comforting feeling Kafka explained to him at one point during their last talk. He took a quick glance at the General and his Lieutenant, smirking in sadistic glee at the brief expressions of confusion as they seem to feel the gaze too, albeit quick. (Because that scene happened before MC got to Xianzhou Luofo if I'm not mistaken).
Ah, man. Kinda hard to do HC during this time coz the game has barely any story about Xianzhou đ€Ł This is sitting in my drafts for a week so better just post it before I dip to hibernate ig. Maybe I'll tackle about DragonHeng during the next story update đđ» (AAAAAAAAAAAA I'M SO DOWN BAD FOR HIM LORD PLS)
And I'm sorry for that user who tried to request something, but my feeble brain cannot connect it and still thinking of what to do đ

already having to relive the Octavian/Luke comparisons and i think i may in fact spontaneously combust.
the blatant misremembering of Octavians character simply because readers just went along with whatever the main cast thought is honestly a little bit infuriating. he's the most spectrum coded character in HoO and most of his actions up until he is literally *brainwashed by Gaea* are justifiable.
"b-but he destroyed Percy's pillow pet comfort item!!" okay, maybe think about how he has to do this with his own comfort items every day? it's literally his job and it's very likely that nobody has ever gotten upset with him over it before. and *Reyna told him to do this* so why are we mad at octavian if it was an order from the praetor to do an augur thing and the easiest way to do that was with an item that had a connection to Percy?
i will also never get over the banquet scene at the beginning of MoA. Octavian literally does nothing wrong here but the characters decide that they just really want to make him the butt of every joke simply because they find him 'annoying'.
after Reyna does the toast and Jason is recounting their rescue of Hera/Juno, Octavian interrupts him in an exclamation of disbelief that they hadn't noticed that the queen of the gods had been imprisoned in a location that was very important to the romans. is interrupting rude? yes, but he obviously seems distraught over the fact that Juno was unknowingly imprisoned. instead of politely explaining the full extent of the situation, what does Piper do? immediately use charmspeak on him.
next, when Percy praises Jason's skills ("No wonder they made you praetor."), Octavian immediately brings up the fact that they have three praetors now that Jason has returned. this is really important, especially from his perspective since he's such a stickler for rules and regulations. Percy decides to immediately abtagonize him, and then completely dismiss his frustration over Percy choosing to step aside for Jason. Octavian has every right to be offended over this, even if it's not necessarily the most correct time to bring it up. Percy antagonizes him, and then basically blatantly insults him by treating the position he's worked his entire life for as if it's nothing important.
after that, Reyna has Octavian recite the great prophecy, ignoring his hesitancy (that is entirely warranted considering greece and rome have been at war for literal millenia). when Annabeth recites the last two lines of the prophecy and Frank brings up her parentage, Octavian has a right to be skeptical. in rome, Minerva isnt even a war goddess, and doesn't have children. without understanding how the gods operate in their seperate forms, it's reasonable, considering they arrived in a war ship, are being lead by a child of a war goddess that they are wholly unfamilliar with in more ways than most of the other major gods, and are, in fact, greek, to be suspicious of the groups intentions.
when Annabeth and Percy list the seven demigods they believe should go on the quest, Octavian is again rightfully upset. There are rules and procedures that are being completely ignored, and by visitors that are already suspicious to him and have made it very clear that they do not care about his opinion, even though he's on the senate and *the fucking augur.* he is once again interrupted, but this time by the book itself as Tyson shows up.
Ella then recites the 'mark of Athena' prophecy, which Octavian *once again* has every right to know about. prophecies are his job, and his entire *personality* as far as camp jupiter is concerned. i understand that it basically says 'Annabeth will destroy rome' but her secrecy in regards to the quest her mother gave her has never once made sense and is not justified in any way. instead of even saying something simple along the lines of 'Athena made me swear to secrecy', Percy for some reason is made to be the character that needs rescuing (in a situation that has nothing to do with him) and Annabeth takes the opportunity to make Octavian into the fool in front of all of his peers. it feels even worse later on when Annabeth and Reyna discuss the prophecy but only to agree that it even *is* one, and for no purpose beyond that for several paragraphs.
THEN when Leo offers a tour of the Argo II to Octavian and Reyna *once again* dismisses his suspicions, she winds up partly to blame for the resulting attack, as well as Leo for never telling anyone about gaea, and Annabeth for not saying anything when she noticed Leo was acting off. when Gaea attacks CJ and Octavian relays to Annabeth that he saw Leo open fire on the city, she assumes he's pulling some trick to get them to fight each other. she had known him for all of maybe a few hours and for some reason, watching her friends and boyfriend openly bully him has convinced her that he could be evil?
mind you, all of the above events happened over the course of *two* chapters, both of which are from the perspective of Annabeth who had only just met Octavian.
he only really began doing things you could consider 'evil' once gaea had fullt brainwashed him and driven him mad. and even then, he gets a fucking joke death?? as the only character up to this point that i was ever able to identify with on an ASD level, that feels really shitty! and the fact that the fandom just jumped on the Octavian hate train really drives home how people cannot handle spectrum coding/writing/*people* unless its presented in a cutesie helpless way.
but back to the original point of Octavian being compared to Luke; Luke was scheming the *entire* time we knew him. He did not want to protect his home, he did not have any real morals or self imposed rules. all he cared about was getting back at Hermes for not showing he cared about him (which is kind of bs considering Hermes is one of the busiest gods in the pantheon but as a fellow neglected kid i get it.) Luke was willing to do this in any way, even if it meant literally destroying the world. Octavian was just trying to keep his home safe in the way that any historical roman would have.
You also kind of have to consider his background. he was left at camp as an unwanted baby. we dont even know if his parents named him or if the camp did. his only identity is that he's a legacy of Apollo with a gift that is incredibly useful to CJ. this, along with his very clear coding (whether intentional on Rick's part or not), only shows me a character that was always unwanted and outcasted from the only place he even could call home. he doesnt want to be praetor for power, he wants to be praetor to prove to everyone (and himself) that he's worthy of being one of them. if he wanted power for the sake of power he could easily use his augur position to manipulate his way up, but never once do we see him attempt this. it doesn't help that he's named after THE Gaius Julius Ceasar Augustus, the man that founded the fucking roman empire in the first place. imagine how that must feel? to have your identity tied to such massive, larger than life people? imagine feeling like you have to live up to that in a place that seemingly fucking hates you for existing and only keeps you around because youre useful??
i really wish people would stop blatantly villainizing Octavian, dudes literally just an 18 year old autistic kid that was victimized by Gaea. give him a break, please.

hey look, legitimate reference sheets for my Fates AU. Look at me, doing things i said i would. my art is always shaky and im bad at consistency so hopefully this helps me.
more Fates shit beloooow (spoilers for the fanfic) (warning for MASSIVE wall of text).
how dare you read spoilers instead of waiting for me to actually finish the next chapter (i am sobbing im stuuuuuck). anyways.
i forgot lambert's jewelry in the ref sheet fuuuuuUUUUCK.
Uhhh so Fates is a 2-part story. Currently writing/posting Fates Worse Than, which is Narinder's POV. Love Can't Save You From is part 2 (working title lmao) thats Lambert's POV.
Basically switch em. Nari is vessel Lamb is god of death. After Narinder inevitably defeats lambert, lambert dips for 200 yrs and is a hermit while the world changes and Nari founds the New Faith.
Pt 1 follows standard gameplay and is a lot shorter than pt 2 (though my word document begs to differ), its a lot more about what's going on in Narinder's mind and unpacking backstory.
After burning midas's bitch ass place down, the other areas on the map (save for midas's bitch ass place and ratau's shack) become towns of their own. The old cult grounds break down and a Temple of TOWW is built. Nari rescues the old Bishops from purgatory, they become his disciples, and three of them run the temples in towns as Disciples/New Bishops (sans powers, just gold skull necklaces) and Shamura keeps the Main Temple of death by themselves. NONE OF THIS i actually write its just explained during the story. Hah.
pt 2 basically is Lambert & Narinder regaining trust (narinder feels shitty for what he did to lambert and cares for them greatly.) And then theres a lot of trauma unpacking, sibling reconnection, and the two of them growing closer.
BIG SPOILERS NEXT
Ya so basically Nari doesn't fully have control of his godhood powers and folks start ressurecting randomly, but 9/10 of them are Cursed and this is Not Great. After consulting with Shamura and doing their own investigating basically aaaah Narinder either has to monitor the gateway or give Lamb the crown back.
They fight over this, obviously, like right after they finally hit the "lovers" part too. fun!
and so in the end they both agree that Narinder will sit in the Gateway, at least for probs a few centuries to maybe a millenia until he has full control over everything. He asks Lambert to lead the New Faith and keep tabs on everyone, thus coming full circle. Narinder is TOWW in the gateway, Lambert is his servant (but no crown, Nari keeps the crown). End of Spoilers.
Also just fun shit. They can't reproduce, gods of death can't create life. I will 10000% make non-canon shittens content tho because ITS FUN.
Lamb is They/Them
Shamura is actually one of the Old Gods, and slaughtered other gods to steal their crowns to give to their "siblings". They literally stole Kallamar as a child, didn't like how he turned out. Stole lamb as baby, loved them and was closest to them, so stole heket too and were meh about her. They were in the middle of slaughtering other gods and destroying crowns when Lambert and Heket found a baby worm in the woods. They begged shamura to keep their new baby brother. Shamura and Kallamar weren't happy but caved to their beloved baby siblings. That worm baby was Leshy. Then shamura drove chemench insane, the group finished slaughtering all other gods & crowns, and that was that.
Goat isn't canon but i did draw him once because it felt like fun and maybe one day jokingly i'll do an au to the au whoops
everyone calls ratau old but he's not that old Narinder & Lambert are just dicks lmao. I promise i do like Ratau i'm just writing in the POV of two assholes.
if you got this far... why? i'm extremely honored but holy hell WHY. I love you now. I love you dearly.
Please feel free to ask me anything i'm foaming at the mouth constantly for this, its my new Sole Purpose. I am absolutely not avoiding my actual fucking novel i'm supposed to be finishing l o l.

Future Inlaws?
Next in the Severe Miscalculation storyline!
Previous Chapter Here:
Next Chapter Here: coming hopefully soon.
Edit! This Here!
For the madness that started it all click here!
Summary: We see some more of Khopesh's...family for lack of a better term. Another short interlude.
Warning: Swears! Other than that not many Karlsor makes a groaning statement about shoving an icepick in his brain. I guess that counts.
Tags: @kit-williams (Who let me use Anrir so Thank You!) @gallifreyianrosearkytiorsusan (Who let me use their sweary lad Karlsor, Thank you!)
@bleedingichorhearts @bispecsual @egrets-not-regrets @passionofthesith @sleepyfan-blog @barn-anon
Scrtch scrtch scrtch scratch. The gentle sounds of a stylis on paper filled the dimly lit chamber with one sole inhabitant.
An ancient a terrifying being, with both wit and knowledge that spanned centuries, millenia even.
The Terran born Nightlord known as Anrir reviewed and continued to bonder over his notations. Some where simple paperwork relating to his position as Apothercary, others were more...personal pursuits.
The Nature of Warp Bonds and Their Affects
The top of the page read. Sprawling throughout the documents were testimonies, graphs, data and hypothesese about the strange phenomenon known as bonding.
Even before Anrir had achieved his own bond he'd been endlessly Fascinated with the concept. In a manner he saw it as the main driving force between All interactions that occurred in this bizarre version of Terra's timeline they'd been sent to.
Without bonds, the more...vicious of their brother cousins would have likely converted at least half the native population into bloody pulp for the Skull Throne.
With them, as well as the lack of resources making sustained conflict untenable, the foundation for the greater alliance was made.
And their Appearance. Anrir could not see it himself, but the Librarians and Psychers he had collaborated with told him they often took the appearance of plants and flora. The exact type varied heavily depending on the relationship in question.
Anrir hypothesized the continuity might be due to their minds visualizing the unseeable. A bizarre form of paradolia that gave form to the formless. He continued to review his latest additions to his notes-
CrrrAsh! "Mother fucker I Swea..."
Thud! "...have to Run faster than tha..."
Until a pair of Very Recognizable voices faded in and out of the background as they ran, interrupted his writing.
Anrir sighed, placing his stylus down....next to a cracked picture frame from the Last Time this happened.
The stomping footsteps became louder again. He turned, briefly calculating the distance in his mind.
Thump thump thump thump Thump!
Anrir casually flexed the unmarred digits of his right hand before-
"If I didn't know any better I'd day you're gettin slower Karlsi-EeK!"
Snatch! One Charmingly Taxing Nightlord scout scruffed in his hold. While more frantic (or perhaps furious) footsteps approached.
Thump,thump,thump,thump,thump,thump,thump!
"Mother fucker I'm gonna kill you! I'm gonna fucking kill- Fuck..."
Anrir turned his eyes to his Claw's librarian, Karlsor, who'd stopped a few paces away.
"N-now Anrir, we didn't fuckin break anyth-Hurk!"
Two, two little Charmingly-Taxing-Nightlords scruffed.
"What...have I told you two?" Anrir asked, his voice firm yet controlled. "About Running near my Research?"
"Dont fuckin do it?" "Don't?" They said in unison.
"And...What, were you just doing?" He posed further.
"That," "Yeah, but he fuckin Started it!"
"You left the glasses unattended! You're lucky Ghosk didn't decide to snatch em!"
"They're My Sun goggles and How Fuckin Dare You!"
As the two younger Nightlords started bickering back and forth Anrir took a deep steadying breath and gently, but firmly... Knocked their skulls together.
Clack!
"Owwww!" "Fuckin hell that stings!"
"Now..." Anrir began. "Are we ready to discuss things properly?"
"Yes..." "Fine! fuck..."
"Khopesh...return Karlsor's glasses." Anrir commanded.
"Fine." Khopesh grumbled, more at his fun ending than Actually having to give the shades back.
"Hrmph!" Karlsor snatched them back with a growl, before placing them back on his face.
"And What do we say, when we have done something Wrong?"
"...I am sorry for taking your sun glasses." Khopesh aquiesed reluctantly.
"Hmph! Damn right you're sorry!"
"Karlsor..."
"And I accept your apology." Karlsor added quickly.
"Good." Anrir released the youngsters from their scruffing.
Khopesh rubbed the back of his neck. "You gotta Know you don't even Need them in this part of the base, riiiiight Karlsy?" Khopesh teased, gesturing to the Very dim surroundings which were custom suited to the Nightlords dark adapted eyes.
"Don't fuckin call me that ya whelp! And so fuckin what! They're My Shades and I'll wear them where I damn well please!" Karlsor snarled, before turning to stomp away.
"You're going to run into things again if you do that." Khopesh pointed out.
"The fuck I-WoAhAAH!" CRASH! The impact of the armored Nightlord hitting the wall rattled the room. On the worktable the picture frame once again fell over.
Unluckily as Khopesh predicted, Karlsor indeed did run into something. Or rather tripped. Whether that was do to wearing shades in a dark room or him being too mad to notice his surroundings was up for debate.
The grouchy librarian righted himself, before turning back to Khopesh with a seething look. "Not - one - word."
Khopesh smiled. "Okay. I'll just laugh then! BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHAA!"
"You're a FUCKIN DEAD FUCK I SWEAR!"
"ENOUGH!"
Oh shit. Both the younger Nightlords flinched as they remembered exactly Who they were squabbling near.
"Sorry Anrir." "Sorry." They replied hurriedly quieting their tones. The older Nightlord had his back turned, simply righting the framed photo from where it had fallen.
Thankfully, not Off the desk this time. Anrir took a moment to examine it, as he often did throughout the day.
No New cracks, thankfully. But the large one down the middle...no that truly wouldn't do. He did not Enjoy how it stretched between him and his Kitty.
He'd find a new sheet of plastic or glass. He'd prefer to keep the frame. Cutesy and childish as a lesser man would have considered it with its numeral stickers and pom poms and finger paint, courtesy of his darling participating in one of her daycare charges' crafting activities.
Anrir placed the frame back down with careful reverence, before turning back to his Sons.
"Let us but the matter Behind us, shall we?" He questioned. Though there was no room for debate in his tone. "Onto more Important things. Khopesh, you mentioned an announcement over your vox?"
The mood shifted with the change of subject almost immediately. The long haired Nightlord began bouncing in place, practically vibrating.
"Yes yes yes! I have someone Very special to introduce to all of you And! A new Hunt for us to plan!"
Well now That did intrigue Anrir. Khopesh could be very eager to go on Hunts (some would even say too eager). But far be it from Anrir to stifle something that made his son truly happy And generally made the world a safer place.
"You mention these two things at once...are they related?" Anrir questioned.
"If they are it's not much of a hunt if you Bring the fucker to us, dumbass." Karlsor snubbed a bit. Still a bit grouchy about the glasses...and grouchy in general.
"NO!" Khopesh snarled, barring his full teeth to his battle brother.
Karlsor's frustration was replaced with shock. This display wasn't the most frightening he'd seen, but he was stunned to see it come out of Khopesh, at Him.
Given the stunned silence Khopesh seemed to realize he over reacted. "I mean, No no no no No...well Yes technically." Khopesh corrected quickly. "They are not the one to be hunted! They are the one who was Harmed by the one we are going to be hunting. And they'll be here soon! I Just Know you'll Love Them!" Khopesh went from frantic correction to...cooing like a lovesick Lamenter??
"I see..." Anrir paused. "And...may I assume that this person is...Special to you?"
"Very much so! They are my sweet Lullaby! And we'll be sharing our first meal together tonight!" Khopesh said excitedly, quickly pulling up his vox messages and other saved photos. "I want them to meet all of you and your bonded's eventually! I think they'd fit in very well here. See?"
Khopesh showed off a few picts. One was of his Lullaby riding in horse competition. Another was them helping a young child learn to ride a horse. The picts and videos were a selection Khopesh had found from their mother's business' noosphere media.
Originally he'd obtained them as part of his investigation into Lullaby as a person, when he'd first met them. Now he simply kept his favorites, and to have something to show his Claw for reference.
"Rabbit and them both compete in sports, And they have experience in childcare and teaching from their family business like Kitty!" Khopesh explained. "And they're so sweet I'm sure Claude will find them very calming, once he gets past his usual shyness and then-"
Anrir's focus trailed off, but not for lack of interest! One of his sons had found a partner, And yes he Knew it was a partner; the smell he'd walked on base with, the 'glowing' and 'bouncing' energy he seemed filled with, and the presence of the bruising marks known as 'hickies' were enough to tell him that much.
He apparently Really liked and was looking forward to spending time with them. And Anrir would support Khopesh in this endeavor whole heartedly, bond involved or not. Anrir was many things but he was Not an Absent Parent.
No...it was because something about those photos-
Shwoop!
Khopesh's vox pings and a notification pops up covering the screen.
Lullaby: Hey I've arrived...I think? But I'm not sure where to go. Also I'm not sure they'll just let me in?
"Oh whoops! One moment." Khopesh shoots a vox message back.
Khopesh Thing That goes Prank in the Night: You should be able to enter the main lobby as it is open to the public. Wait for me there please! I want to introduce you to my brothers! I'm so excited for you to meet them.
Lullaby: Oh okay...how many am I meeting?
Khopesh: Just the ones in my claw that are here now. Don't worry they're gonna Love You! ;3
Lullaby: Including the one you made angry enough to chase you?? You suuuuure he'll like me? đ€đ€
Khopesh smiled as he typed his next reply.
Khopesh: I'm Certain of it. He'll probably like how mouthy and sassy you are!
He stopped but then added...
But he can't have you of course! You're mine.
Lullaby: pfft! You've pissed him off that much huh? Well either way I'm making my way into the main lobby. The building is so Biiiiiig. I'm not used to this kinda space.
A photo came in. Showing Lullaby standing next to one of the Astarte sized chairs near the main entrance. It did indeed dwarf them as an average sized human.
"And saved!" Khopesh trilled, doing exactly that with the new photo.
Khopesh: Excellent! I will see you soon!
Anrir and Karlsor watched on with fascination. Well Karlsor was more still stunned to see this range of behavior from his brother.
Anrir, having his own special someone, was more understanding. But Still something itched at his brain.
"I must go greet them now. I will be back soon!" Khopesh stated, turning quickly to leave.
To his credit he did start by walking normally...until his speed picked up and he Launched himself into scrambling running climb throughout the unique architecture of the Nightlord base area.
Again, specially designed for suit their preference for skulking and climbing.
Karlsor stood their bewildered for a moment, before turning to Anrir. "What the Fuck was that about?"
Anrir simply chuckled. "Ah...young love..." He shook his head fondly before returning to his notes. Best sort and put them away for now, after all he'd be greeting a new face soon, best to look Presentable and make a good first impression.
He said much the same to Karlsor. "I'm assuming he'll be bringing his 'Sweet Lullaby' to meet us soon. Best get ready for that."
Karlsor groaned. Baselines were...well they were Frustrating or deal with! They either Weren't scared or were too scared. Sometimes they'd scream way too loud! And worse sometimes they'd giggle and call him...Bleh. Cute.
And Khopesh had apparently found 'someone special'. "If it turns out he's fuckin found someone Just Like Him I'm gonna stab myself with an Ice Pick!"
"I doubt Khopesh could find someone Exactly like himself dear Karlsor." Anrir assured, his desk now clean. He turned back to the Librarian.
"Though...I Must admit I am curious about his... Lullaby." Anrir muttered to himself.
Why couldn't he shake the feeling he was missing something?
"What got you Fuckin stewing suddenly?" Karlsor asked, noting Anrir's change in demeanor.
...
"...Those photos...did you recognize the Baseline in them?"
"...no?? Did you?"
Anrir turned back to Karlsor, his expression was serious. "I'm Certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that I've Never," he emphasized. "Met them before in my Life."
"So why Do I recognize them?"
Next chapter will be Here: (hopefully soon pray for my sanity)

some context: a few days ago i received a response on one of my posts that asked what the point was of getting rid of the gods now, when all of their wrongdoing was seemingly so far in the past. i wrote a very long answer, they responded with very generic c3 discourse points (lol, lmao), so as to not make all that work a waste of my fucking time here it is divorced of the even longer post it was attached to:
First, the gods have supported the actions of their followers (beyond just being the ones providing their powers, who could conceivably take them away if they disapproved). see the Dawnfather sending an angel down to defend his follower's colonial holdings in Hearthdell. this is not the only way they're seen negatively intervening in this very campaign (not to mention others)-see the Spider Queen corrupting Opal and eventually destroying her memories and identities to make her a slave. when I speak about the imperialist, mass murdering behavior of the gods, I am also speaking about the Betrayer Gods, who are all still alive and still aiming to slaughter all mortals. their efforts to do this, and to free themselves, still lead to substantial amounts of death and misery, amounts that will increase exponentially if any of them manage to escape.
Which may happen very very soon! In their talk with the Hells, the Archeart repeatedly said the gods are actively discussing, and on the verge of, opening up the Divine Gate and starting another Calamity.

This was in fact the Archeart's major fear and what they were desperately trying to avoid. (It's good here to note that this was Abubakar's read on the situation, and how he thought the Archeart would see it-Matt may have other solutions in mind besides releasing Predathos.)
The Matron later issues an even more dire version of this warning-she and the Archeart may be the only two gods preventing them from opening the Divine Gate and unleashing another armageddon.

Which brings me to the "why now?" of it all, and the main reason to consider getting rid of the gods in the first place, which is prevention. If the gods remove the Divine Gate and another Calamity starts, it will be because Ludinus forced their hand. Ludinus, working on this plan for almost a millenia, his hatred of the gods motivated by the genocide of Aeor and growing up in it's ruins. Well, the god's hands were forced in Aeor, because the Aeorians had built the Factorum Malleus to kill the gods-which they did out of fear.

Aeorians made the Factorum Malleus because they were a century into a war between the gods that had been extended indefinitely by the Primes refusal to kill the Betrayers. There is even a faction, represented by Cassida, that specifically only wants to kill the Betrayers and help the Primes win; but the Primes won't consider this option for even a moment, and she dies a brutal death after being humiliated and condescended to by the very gods she gave everything to help.

On the next rung down, you can argue that the Calamity started because of the actions of a mortal, which, sure; but Vespin Chloris was trying to replace Asmodeus specifically because he was a Betrayer God, and getting rid of him would mean there was one less god actively working to kill all mortals.

The Betrayer Gods, who the Primes will not kill. (Even though the reverse is not true-Brennan confirmed they were attempting to keep the Factorum Malleus up and running to destroy the Primes with.)
There are understandable, sympathetic motivations for this on the Prime's part-the Betrayers are their siblings, after all. But consider this all from the perspective of a mortal, who can devote their entire life to a diety that can and will erase them and their own family in an instant to protect their own. The Divine Gate was supposed to be their penance for this, and yet a millenia later they're ready to tear it down again and repeat the same cycles all over.
What happens when the next Calamity ends and there's a whole new generation of refugees and orphans left in the wake of the gods' self-preservation? Or what happens if they keep Predathos trapped, now that so many people know of it's existence and that there's a way to release it? What happens to all the Ruidisborn necessary for it to be released? Do the gods continue to abide their presence, close as they are to the knowledge held by every Aeorian? Is everything fine only if every single mortal on Exandria plays the perfect victim, forgives and forgets?

(I would also point out that, behind the Divine Gate and acting in less interventionist roles, the threat the gods pose to mortals in turn feels even less justified, even if it's more distant. It matters when Imogen, Ashton, Dorian point out that a god never answered their prayers or helped them because it shows that for many, there are no benefits to the current arrangement, only risks).
#crposting#cr meta#tbf. at least. a lot of these are points i've wanted to make for quite a while#basically anytime i see the insistence that the virtually unknown outcomes of releasing Predathos#are indisputably way riskier than a highly likely second Calamity#not that pointing that out mattered in this instance! c'est la vie. enjoy my understanders

Part 1
ThrawnxF!reader
Tag : Non descriptive birth, cunni, P in V, creampie
You open your eyes, your face bathing in a ray of sun. It is already quite hot outside, but the hut retains the freshness of the night quite well. You rise in a seating position, on your mattress of hay and palm tree leaves in a sheet of linen. Next to you Thrawnâs spot is cold already, he must be awake for some time now. You wince as your baby hits your tummy.
âIâm sorry darling, you must be hungry.â You gently caress your swollen stomach. âI will find something for us to eat.â
You stand up on your feet, a little bit unbalanced by your pregnant stomach and head for the main place. You wave at your neighbors that go around their business, greeting you in return.
A month after escaping the cannibal village you crossed paths with another alien species, beings you can at best described as frog people with their globulous eyes and slimy greenish skin, but full of kindness and a strong community sense. They welcomed you in their village, feeded you and soothed your wounds, and contrary to the cannibal village Thrawn did not detect any ill intent or habits in their art. He analyzed that they were former peaceful wanderers of the universe that crashed on the planet like you did millennia ago. In fact, the village is right next to the destroyed carcass of the ship that brought them here, the survivor took everything useful from the ship and built a new community.
They now speak a bastardization of Basic, permitting you to communicate with them quite well, even if there are still some mishaps here and there. You came to discover the cannibals took them regularly for preys and they had the greatest difficulties at repelling them, their former peaceful ways led to a more armed culture but they are still not efficient soldiers. Thatâs when Thrawn intervened. He trained with their warriors to get used to their different weapons and tactics and convinced the chiefs to let him lead their warriors on the next attack.Â
And he did.
Successfully.Â
For the first time in the millenia of conflict between the two species the frog people didnât lose any lives or children to the cannibals. The party that followed that night was grandiose and flashy, the frog people warmly thanked Thrawn and offered you both to stay at the village. Â
You accepted, given they werenât murderous cannibals. Thrawn pondered the question longer, still focused on the possibility of finding a way to come back to the Empire.
There wasnât.
The frog people spreaded all around the globe of that planet and established colonies on all the continents and kept a tight diplomatic bond between each colony. The chiefs proposed you remain in the village to relax for while they sent messages to the other colonies to ask them. You have been in the village for some weeks now but Thrawn decided he would go to meet the other colony and have the chance to ask for himself. And you would not let his politically incompetent ass go anywhere alone unless you wanted him to create chaos, so you decided to go with him. But the morning of your departure you started puking and couldnât walk without feeling weak so Thrawn carried you bridal style to the healer of the tribe, deciding to postpone his travel until you knew what was going on.
And you didnât have to wait long.
After examining your body and checking your hormonal balance with some reactives plants the healer determined that you were pregnant! You had a moment of silence, brain frozen, taking in the news and asked for other tests to be conducted immediately, she obliged, and ended up with the same results. Thrawn wasnât in the hut, politely waiting outside while she examined your body.
You were at a loss of words. A multitude of contradicting emotions raging in your brain and heart.
You were pregnant? Chiss and humans are compatible?
How would Thrawn react? How should YOU react? It was one thing to share a night of passion with your enemy turned ally while you were stranded, carrying his child and heir was a complete other matter! The healer noticed your clear lack of enthusiasm and asked if you wanted to terminate the pregnancy now.
You had no words. Should you do it? Should you not? How would your comrades react at the sight of you bearing the child of the Grand Admiral Thrawn?
Should you even tell him? If you took the preparation she was handing you and terminated the pregnancy in its early stage, was it even worth informing Thrawn?
You decided that yes.
It was.
You called for him and he entered the hut, kneeling down next to you he gently put a strand of hair out of your face with his fingers in a reassuring gesture. You smiled at him gently and warned him to stay seated for the news. He turned to the healer, squinting his eyes in concentration and maybe some worry.
âIs it a dangerous illness?â He asked, âIs her life at risk?â
âHer life is at risk, but not by an illness. This is simply the circle of life.â
He tilted his head, clearly not understanding the healer's words. You took his hand and squeezed it, looking at him in the eyes.
âThrawnâŠâ You started, deadly serious, âI am pregnant.â
He fully turned to you in complete silence, his eyes barely rounding up in surprise, his control remaining total. Will you one day be able to surprise this man?
He remained mute for a full minute, eyes fixed in yours, before opening his mouth.
âDo you want this child?â Was his only question, his only worry.
âI⊠Do not know.â You confessed. âWhat if we find a way to go home?â
âI would not impose you to follow me in the Empireâs ranks.â
âThen could I deprive this child of their father? Could I tell them their parents are mortal enemies?â
âMaybe you could send them to me.â He proposed.
âAnd have them in the Imperial system? Out of the question! My child will not be an imperial pawn!â You exclaimed resolutely.
âI could send them to the Ascendancy.â He proposed again.
You pondered that possibility. You live a dangerous life made of battles and combats, constantly on the run. Thrawn has more stability, but you will not make your child and Imperial citizen, they will be free and nothing else. Sending them to the Ascendancy, to Thrawn original worlds however⊠might be their best chances. He talked to you about it for long hours, revealing to you his memories, maybe⊠Maybe this is the best you could offer that child.
Of course it would mean being separated from your own flesh and blood, but the life you would give them isnât a life for a child.
âThatâs a good idea.â You finally nod. âIt would be a more stable environment for them.â
Thrawn squeezed your hand approvingly in response
âBut do you even want this child?â You raise your head to him, âWe never talked about it. We donât even know what we are.â
Since that night you shared, you didnât leave each other's side, living, sleeping, bathing together, just spending the days hand in hand. But you are not in a regular situation, is a relationship started in such extreme conditions as of a crash a stable basis for a healthy couple? Do the standard relationships apply to you? So far away from all laws and civilization do putting a label on your situation even make sense?
He looked at you with a raised eyebrow.
âYou are the one carrying the embryo, you have the final word. But if you ask me : yes. I want that child.â
But you are still unsure. Are you ready to be a mom? Delivery in those conditions could be incredibly dangerous for you and the baby, what about infections, complications? The frog people kept some techniques and technology from when they still traveled the universe but a lot of machinery simply died for lack of energy source or repair pieces. Could you give birth away from the comfort and security offered by a hospital?
The healer took the powder and poured it in an envelope that she handed to Thrawn.
âTake the time to think about it.â She simply said, giving you a bay to eat to help with nausea.
You exited the little hut in silence, the envelope pressed against your chest. Thrawn circled your shoulders with his arm.
âWe need to talk.â He said very seriously, âLetâs put you to bed, first.â
He guided you to your hut and helped you lay down, putting the traveling gear in one corner of the room.
âI am sorry.â You breathed, âIâm slowing you down.â
âNo need for excuses. You are forgiven.â He responded by coming back to you, kneeling at your side.
He put his hand on your forehead to take your temperature very delicately.
âAre you comfortable?âÂ
You nod, the nausea slowly subsiding. He remains silent for a long moment, only caressing your forehead, seemingly lost in his own thoughts. But he is never lost, merely reorganizing his brain like a computer.
âWhat?â you asked with a little voice.
âNothing.â He said.
âYou are fixing me so intently.â
âI am simply thinking, I thought about what you said: âWe donât even know what we areâ.â
You purse your lips. Itâs true you said that.
You were content about what you had all this time but the prospect of a child put everything into perspective and demanded clarifications.
âI am not wrong. We never really discussed about us, just lived in the present moment.â you argue.
âYou are right, it was not a criticism.â He tampers with his deep melodious voice, âWere you happy during those times?â
âYes.â you confess.
âMe too.â he admits too, âDo you envision yourself pursuing this relationship seriously?â
âI⊠Is this what you want? We talked about keeping seeing each other and all that, but⊠Does being a couple make any sense here? Does going official have any weight in our situation?â
âTo me it does.â He tilted his head, âI want to be with you. Live with you, build a family with you.â
âAnd when we get rescued?â You ask, âYou didnât renounce that possibility. What then? We go our merry way, tearing the family apart?â
âI am afraid we will be blocked here for some time.â He responded, âIf we ever get rescued.â
You frowned.
âYou think there is a risk we stay stranded here?â
âThis is a possibility to keep in mind.â He ominously said
You sighed, suddenly exhausted. You closed your eyes, trying to clear your mind.
âDo not take the medicine, please.â You suddenly heard him murmuring so low you almost doubted you heard him.
You reopen your eyes to look at him interrogatively.
âI want this baby. I want to be a father. I want to live with you and see our children grow. Leave me a chance to prove to you I am worth it.â He said, looking into your gaze with sparkly eyes.
His tone was assured and affirmative but you saw so much hope in those red eyes, all the dreams he had to leave behind when he became a Grand Admiral, he could live them here. He could restart anew, fresh, become the man he dreamed to be deep inside himself.
You raised in a seating position with a grumble.
âI do not doubt your worth, nor your capacities to be a father, but⊠There is so much uncertainty, so much fog⊠I cannot take that decision carelessly.â
âI understand your doubts and difficult position. And whatever you do, I will respect your choice. But, if I may tell you my opinion, again, please do not take the medicine. I will be here for you and the child, I want us to live all together. As a familyâ
âI will think about itâŠâ You clench your fist around the envelope.
âOf course, Chaâcah.â He leaned forward to capture your lips in an infinitely soft kiss that you would have never believed him capable of, âThe final choice is yours only.â
He caressed your cheek, kissed your forehead and left you alone to nap and gather energy.
You didnât sleep, a headache threatened you all day long. And as usual, when night came you felt his arms wrapping around your form, tighter this night. You were pressed against his broad chest, his warm body, shielding you from the rest of the world.
You never took the medicine.
You pondered it during long weeks before one day standing still in front of Thrawn and handing him the envelope.
âGet rid of it.â you simply said.
He looked at the envelope, squinting, before grasping your arm and pulling you in a tight hug.
âThank you.â He murmured, nose buried in your hair.
And that is how you ended up giving birth to your daughter. A healthy little girl in a rush to come into the world.
You woke up in the middle of the night like someone stabbed your womb before realizing your waters broke. Thrawn, awakened in a flash, helped you to the healer and she woke up all the women of the village, all came in the middle of the night to help. A birth is a matter of the entire community here.
They helped you to get rid of your tight clothes and enter a bath, trying to help you relax and relieve any tension. Thrawn was pushed outside the hut unceremoniously at first, âit is a womenâs affair only.â They said to him, you donât know what he responded but he was finally authorized to stay after a back and forth. He came to your side and took your hand, circling your shaking shoulders with his long arm.
âYou got this, Chaâcah. I know you can do it.â He praised and supported you.
He talked to you during the whole process, taking your mind off the pain, kissing your temple, squeezing your hand.
Until finally, you heard her first scream.
She was as blue as him, with the same red eyes, but she inherited your hair. You immediately took her in your arms, still shaking and full of sweat but so relieved and happy.
Your little baby.
Your daughter.
Thrawn cut the umbilical cord with the fang dagger he gave you and came to your side to admire his daughter, delicately caressing her head still full of blood.
âShe looks like you.â You say out of breath and the heart spilling love.
âIndeed. But she has your features. She will be as beautiful as you.â
He hugged you both like you could vanish at any second.
âWelcome to the world, little one. I love you so much.â He murmured, taking her in his large hands.
âWhat should we call her?â You ask. âWe should pick a Chiss name.â
He looked at you with a hint of surprise and gratitude.
âWhat do you think of⊠Thaishi?â He proposed with a thin smile, eyes fixated on the baby.
âTaishi⊠Little Thaishi.â You make the name roll on your tongue, âI like it a lot.â
âWelcome Thaishi. My daughter.â He let out still incredulous, but the love and warmth was unmistakable in his voice. He immediately initiated skin-to-skin contact, trying to appease your daughterâs cries before the healer took her to examine her.
It was four years ago.
Thaishi speaks and sprints everywhere now, she is unstoppable, making you run after her all day long under Thrawnâs amused loving gaze.Â
She is already at the buffet this morning when you arrive at the center of the village. The frog people cook for the community and not for individuals, hunt together, fish together, gather together and they eat all together. But today is not your day to cook so you slept late.
You caress Thaishiâs head who doesnât even take the time to sit with others to eat, she just picks what she wants and eats it immediately. She looks up to you with her mouth full, making her look like a hamster.
âGo sit with the kids, little terror.â You kiss her forehead.
She picks up three other fruits and runs to the kiddos and sits with them.
â(Y/n), we could have brought the food to your hut!â The lady in charge of the cooks today chastises you.
âNo, itâs better if I come to eat with everyone.â You respond with an appeasing smile, âDid you see Thrawn this morning?â
âHe was out hunting with the youngs early, they should⊠Ah! Talk about the wolf!â
You spin on yourself, your plate in hand, to see the hunters entering the village with their games. Thrawn stands out with his deep blue skin against their green ones, you notice him immediately. Everyone comes to them to inspect the meat and congratulate the hunters.
âHow is my wife this morning?â Thrawn asks, pulling you in his arms immediately.
You giggle as he presses you against his large body, your pregnant belly in the way. He leans forward to kiss you tenderly and then kneels to caresses your belly with enamored red eyes.
You feel your baby giving a kick against his palm.
âThey are full of energy.â He notes satisfied.
âThaishi is too! I have trouble containing her sometimes.â
âThaishi, listen to your mother.â Thrawn takes his daughter's shoulder in his hand, âIt is important to obey adults, young one. We do it for your protection.â
âBut I canât help it, I want to run and jump everywhere!â She responds with her mouth full.
âYoung lady, your table manners are lacking. We need to correct them.â He boops her nose.
She gulps her bite down and smiles at him with all her teeth.
âGo play, we will study Cheuhn later.â He smoothes her hair and pushes her gently towards the kids.
You both look at her running again to her comrades, the only blue skin and red eyes in the green and globulous eyes.Â
You sigh, the heart so full of love it could explode any minute now, when you feel Thrawn arms circling your shoulders.
âSheâs four already.â You let out.
âYes. She is growing quickly.â
âI feel like I gave birth to her yesterday and now look at her⊠Running all over without losing her balance. Maker⊠Tomorrow she will be a fully grown adult.â
âShe will not, do not worry. She will remain our little lady whatever happens.â
You glance at him with a little grin.
âAre you becoming sentimental, Thrawn? Whatâs happening to my tough warrior?â
He chuckles lowly in response, amused.
âI have always been sentimental since she was a baby. Do not tell me you never noticed?â
âOh I did notice! It was quite endearing to see you melt before her by the way! Seeing your facade cracking before your own babyâŠâ You lay your head on his shoulder, caressing his cheek. âYou have a good heart, Thrawn.â
âWhen it comes to you three, I always do.â He puts a hand on your tummy âWhat did the healer say yesterday?â
âThey are growing quickly and well. I gained plenty of weight, my hormones are balanced and she didnât notice anything wrong.â
âYes, but she doesnât have the correct equipment, so much could escape her.â He argues, suddenly frowning.
âThrawn⊠Women have been giving birth here in those conditions for a millenia! So much they spread all over the continents, their death rate is really low. She knows her stuff.â You comfort him, holding his cheeks in your hands.
He slowly nod.
âYou are right, as always.â
âI already gave birth, I can do it. I know I can.â You insist.
He kisses your palms delicately.
âI trust you, Chaâcah.â
âGood.â You raise on tiptoes to brush your nose with his. âDid you eat this morning?â
âI did, right before the hunt.â He squeezes your hand, âI will be on the ship if you need me.âÂ
He kisses your forehead and grabs and carries Thaishi on his shoulders making her scream laughing among the children.Â
You go back with the others, sitting on your ankles, observing your husband and daughter as you eat your fruits. Your minds start wandering back to the night you wed Thrawn, you remember being in his arms, heavily pregnant with Thaishi, laying on your mattress. He was caressing your hair as your cheek was pressed against his chest, listening to his beating heart.
âWe should get married.â He suddenly said in the dark of the night.
âWhy?â you asked, yawning.
âWe have a baby on the way. We should do it for them.â
âFor them? Not because youâre so in love with me you could feel your heart explode?â You tease him with a light laugh.
âDo you doubt my love?â
âNo Thrawn, I was simply joking. I do not doubt you.â You brush your cheek on the skin of his pec to reassure him.
Something you picked up on is Thrawn's low self esteem, or rather poor view of his own person. You realized it listening to him talk about his time in the Ascendancy, he measures his self worth though his capacity to serve and obey his people, completely ignoring his innate value as an individual being. He thinks of himself as a tool, a cog, in the great scheme of things. Just a usable asset to throw away once he has served his purpose. And maybe the most terrifying thing in this situation is that he was contented by this. To him he isnât deserving of respect and love if he fails his duties. It is a completely normal situation to him, something he has internalized and never questioned.
So he didnât understood you throwing yourself at him to hug him tight and reassuring him that you loved him. He stayed still, like frozen, listening to you declaring your love to him so suddenly he had nothing to say, maybe a bit shocked.
From this day on you took care to tell him everyday that you loved him, hugging and kissing him, showering him with your love, proving to him that whatever flaws he had or whatever failures he may have committed, he was worthy of unconditional love.
âI love you, (y/n). It is a fact that I cannot deny. When I realize you are in my presence, my heart tightens. When you speak, my heart seems to jump. When you are in my arms, it races. I daresay those symptoms point to love.â
âI know, my love.â You grazed your finger on his chest, âI love you all the same. I am truly at ease and relieved when you are at my side. I worry when I do not feel your presence.â
He took your hand to kiss your knuckles.
âI will not leave you. I am whole and appeased only with you.âÂ
You raised your head to kiss his jaw tenderly.
âI want to tie my legacy to yours, be a family.â He continues.Â
You looked intently at his laying form silently.
âBecause you miss yours?â
He remained silent and his gaze fixed on the ceiling seemed to harden.
âThere is no need to hide it, love. It is natural to long for the presence of your family, whoever you are. It means you have a heart and a home to go back to.â
âI have a duty towards them. I will not go back to them until it is done.â He finally said with a hard tone.
It wasnât directed against you, you knew it, it was simply a testimony of his resolution.
âSo you truly want it?â You questioned gently.
âIt would fill my heart with bliss if you bestowed yourself to me.â He confessed with a tone of confidence, caressing your cheek.
âIf you promise to love me for all eternity, I accept to be yours.â You said.
He kissed your knuckles again before putting your hand on his beating heart.
âFor all eternity, Chaâcah. You have my word.â
You lowered yourself and kissed his lips gently, he responded lasciviously, deepening the kiss.
He stood up, helped you rise on your feet and you sneaked away in the night to the Chiefs hut like children who would have stolen a cookie jar. The chiefs performed the ceremony according to their traditions and you were married to Thrawn.
To your Grand Admiral.
And him to his Rebel.
You shared the decisive kiss with the chiefs benedictions and felt your heart tightening with love. He kissed your forehead tenderly while caressing your cheek and you hugged him tight.
Now, with you pregnant, your destinies were intertwined forever.
And he wouldnât have it any other way.
You never told the rest of the community, they didnât need to know. You were together and that is all that mattered.
But there was one dark stain on the canvas.
You made peace with the fact that you wouldnât get rescued by now. That is also why you carried the pregnancy to term and accepted his hand in marriage. Because deep down you felt you would never get out of this isolated planet.
But Thrawn didnât.
Thrawn keeps fighting everyday to go home.Â
And youâre not sure how to feel about that.
Was it his loyalty to the Empire or his relentless devotion to the Ascendancy that pushed him so much? He refused to answer.
But coming back signifies saying goodbye. And thatâs tearing your heart apart. When you realized he was tempering with the ship communication device to send messages to the Empire you badly reacted, you had your first real fight. He refused to stay arms dangling when his duties called for him and you refused to help go back to his murderous Empire.
In the end you remained a rebel and a Grand Admiral.
And it created the first cracks in your marriage.
A chance Thaishi was still a baby and couldnât understand why her parents were arguing, but she did pick up on the bad vibes and your cracked voice and started crying. Before Thrawn could pick her up to console her, you took her, shouting he better get used to not seeing his family if he wanted to go back to the Empire so badly and ran off to the hut of friends and remained here for a full week.
You regretted those words. So badly. He never once raised his voice against you, remaining calm, but also so cold, so calculating, his determined gaze terrified you so you preferred to flee with your daughter.
He came to your friendsâ hut everyday to see his child and everyday you refused, hugging her against your heart. You were so mad, so terrified, so⊠So betrayed! How could he dare do that to your family?
When you accepted to receive him, he sat down in front of you in silence, just observing his baby in your arms with a loving gaze.
But he was actively trying to tear his family apart and you couldnât forgive him just yet.
âHow is she?â he asked
âGood.â
âCan I hold her?â
âNo.â you placidly answered
He simply took a deep breath in response before opening his mouth again.
âWe should talk.â
âIndeed we should. You have a lot of explaining to do.â You frowned.
âI had good reasons to try to go back to the Empire.â
âYes, evidently you are still very much attached to this tyranny.â
âYou do not understand. I didnât tell you everything.â
You raise an eyebrow, what could he say to save his image now?
âIf I am so attached to this tyranny, as you call it, it is to save my worlds.â
And he explained everything to you, all the secrets he kept hidden all this time, secrets nobodyâs outside of him and a certain Baâkif knew about. The true reasons of his mission and allegiance to the Empire, anything he didnât tell you before.
You just listen silently, eyes round and mouth agape.
â... You may hate me now, but I will demand to keep seeing my daughter. This is all I ask for.â
âIâŠâ You just manage to say, lost âI am sorry, Thrawn.â
He remained silent, sounding you with his inquisitive red gaze, awaiting your reaction once you gathered your thoughts.
âI shouldnât have reacted like that.â You concede, âBut I couldnât turn a blind eye eitherâŠâ You try to show him where you come from.
But he is determined.
âI know. But my success depends on the success of the Empire.â
âThe success of the Empire implies the subjugation of all races and slavery.â
âNot when I will have taken control of it. This is a necessary evil for now.â
âThis is horrible⊠How can you say that?â You said, pained.
âThis is war, casualties are inevitable. â He insisted, âBut when I will lead it, everything will end. You need to trust me.â
You lower your gaze to observe your daughterâs face. She is peacefully sleeping in your arms, soothed by both of your voices. She is as blue as him, with the same red eyesâŠ
You already tied yourself to him, for better and for worseâŠ
You sigh, closing your eyes. You hear him getting closer and circling your shoulders with his arm.
âI need you to trust me, cheo Chaâcah. I do it for the greater good.â He murmurs soothingly.
You purse your lips.
âI will not hinder you, but do not expect me to help you in any way!â You annonce with tenacity.
âAlright.â He gently kisses your shoulder, âAre you still mad?â
âYes! A lot! But⊠I understand better now.â You say giving him a side glance.
He looks deep into your eyes, squeezing your shoulders against his body.
âI love youâŠâ He confesses like a secret.
âMe tooâŠâ You reassure him. âBut I will need time.â
âWill you let me hold our daughter?â
You gently give him your baby and she opens her eyes to meet his. He presses her delicately against his chest, a skin-to-skin hug so important for babies. She grabs one of his fingers in her little fist and starts babbling, smiling at her father.
âHello you.â He gently says, âI missed you.â
You purse your lips, feeling like a heartless monster for depriving him of his child, and her, her father.
He slept with Thaishi in his arms that night and you pressed yourself against him, looking at your baby, cheek pressed on the chest of her father, sleeping soundly, at peace.
And you cried, knowing that this could come to an end one day.
Youâre being brutally called back to reality when Thaishi sprinted into your laps to smash into you.
âLeys proposed to me to spend the day with her!â She exclaims joyfully as you try to catch your breath after that hit.
You turn towards Leyâs mother, slowly nodding.
âYou need some peace and quiet at that point in your pregnancy, (Y/n). Relax for the day, we will take care of the kids.â
You turn back to Thaishi, eyes full of hope.
âAlright, but you must promise to behave well when you are with them! And donât forget your Cheuhn lesson with your father.â
âYes, mom!â She already sprints back to her friends group, barely listening to you.
She only listens to her father. You sigh, shaking your head.
KidsâŠ
You yawn and decide to use this newfound liberty to take a nap, even if you just woken up. You were soundly sleeping for some hours now, back at your hut, when you felt a warm body pressing itself against your back and strong, large hands caressing your pregnant belly.
âWelcome back, sirâŠâ You yawn.
Thrawn kisses your shoulders, pressing you tighter against his large body.
âHow are you feeling?â He whispers.
âHeavy!â You burst out laughing âAnd fat! This belly gets in the way of everything, itâs impressive.â
âYou are beautiful like that.â He insists, âI found you more and more hypnotizing as your pregnancy advancesâ He keeps caressing your tummy tenderly.
âAre you sure you are the most objective person in this situation?â You argue back with a side grin.
âI need not to be objective, I only need my eyes to witness your bewitching beauty. And I can confidently say you are the most beautiful of all.â
âEven when my body is limp and bloated like that?â
âEspecially like that. You being pregnant is a real⊠Temptation.â He breathes lowly in your ear, âI have all the pain in the world to maintain my control.â
âYou? Struggling to keep your control in check? I do not believe you sir.â You laugh.
âAnd yet, such is the effect you have on me.â He starts kissing your neck, slowly going up. âYou mesmerize me in every possible way.â He licks your ear with the tip of his tongue.
âYou are really touchy today.â You squirm in his embrace, brushing your soft body against his muscles.
âI have been struck by a real vision.âÂ
âWell thank you sir, I take care of myself!â You joke. âYou are quite handsome yourself!â
Your hair has grown too by the time and he buries his nose in it to inhale your scent.
âI want to eat you up.â He says with a growl.
âArenât I delectable?â You keep joking.
âYou are. Exactly to my taste, but you misunderstood me.â He leans again, blowing on the shell of your ear, sending shivers down your spine, âI want to eat you out until you are a shaking mess in my hands, until you can not remember your own name.â He gives another quick lick to your ear.
His deep voice has such an effect on you, you canât help but shudder in response, much to his satisfaction. Thrawn proved himself physically affectionate, not shy to express his love physically in public or in private⊠Especially in private! And even though Thaishiâs birth didnât stop your sex life, it is true it slowed it down a bit. Your last sexual relationship was some months ago and the new pregnancy didnât help, even though⊠Thrawn looks at you differently when youâre pregnant.
You're convinced it teases something deeply buried in his psyche and entrails, it excites him, always looking at you wherever you are, always holding you in his arms in some ways, keeping you to himselfâŠ
You remember your first pregnancy, he had his hands all over you all day long, drinking between your legs for long hours, getting more and more unhinged as your tummy started to get bigger and bigger.Â
Maybe it is one of his kinks⊠You have the occasion to verify it todayâŠ
You turn to face him with a cheeky grin.
âSo you like me pregnant.â You state.Â
âIt is a wonder of nature.â
âIs that it?â You innocently pull on your shirt to reveal your belly to his eyes.
The light growl emanating from him was unmistakable. His gleaming eyes seem to shine brighter and you think you see him gulp.
âJust a wonder of nature?â You insist, blinking your eyes naively.
âI wonder what kind of reaction you expect of me, flashing your pregnant belly to me.â
âI donât know⊠Maybe I am simply curious?â
He raises an eyebrow in response, not buying your innocent act.
âCurious?â He repeats cautiously.
âCurious about the fantasy of my man⊠What titillates him, what excites him, what drives him absolutelyâŠâ You keep your act, drawing sweet circles with your nail on your heavy tummy. â... Crazy.â
He takes a deep breath, eyes locked on your round belly, clearly interested in what you have to offer. His growl takes a dive in the deeper tone, squinting his eyes, trying to maintain his cool in front of your insolent temptation allurement.
He remains very set back in his fantasies, never truly revealing his true taste, preferring to oblige yours instead so you have only an unfinished portrait of his kinks.
But thisâŠ
This caught his attention well and you intend to play a bit with it.
âI feel like I have your full attention.â you smile cheekily.
âYou do.â he says, cautious of your little game, but so tempted.
âMy belly is so soft and warm, if only you could feel it like I do.â You tease mercilessly. âDo you like me pregnant with your child?â
âYes. A lot.â His voice is no more than a growl now.
He extends his hand to caress your tummy and you slap it immediately. He groans, displeases, and frowns in response.
âNo touch. You can only admire.â
âYou have no mercy.â He mediates, âWill you really deny me?â
âMaybe. After all, physical exhaustion is really bad for me, I donât know if letting you do what you want is good for the baby.â You clap back without pity for him.
âI do believe what I have in mind is really good for both of you.â He insinuates lowly.
âYou have no proof of what you say.â
âReally? We can go ask the healer right now and we will know where we stand.â He responds without missing a bit, absolutely serious.
You observe him haughtily, like youâre not believing him and donât intend to give up. He presses himself tighter to you. You wonder how it would get if you pushed him to his limitsâŠÂ
He has always been soft and tender to you, but youâre curious. How is he when he is mad? When you push his dominant tendencies?Â
You refrain from smiling like a deviant.
âLet me show you what I mean, and you will judge for yourself.â He proposes.
âI do not know if I will let you, mister. I am not convinced.â You put your hand on his mouth to push him back with a grin.
He licks your palm to get rid of your hand with a dark gaze.
âDo not play with me.â He warns.
âOr what? What will you do to your heavily pregnant wife?â You tease.
He flinches imperceptibly at the mention of your pregnancy, growling deeply like an annoyed animal.
âYou couldnât hurt a fly. I am not afraid in the slightest, mister.â
He looks at you intently and suddenly his Intense gaze melts into sparkling eyes and he lets out a sneer.
âYou will not gain what you want by playing with my ego, Chaâcah.â
Oh Makers damn it!
âCome on!â You insist, pressing yourself more against him, âHumor me!â
âNo.â He chuckles, amused like he would with a child, âYou will not win that fight.â
âPffffff⊠Youâre no fun.â You purse your lips, sulking.
âOn the contrary, I can be a lot of fun.â He embraces you tightly, âYou just need to find the right levers.â
âI had one! You clearly were hanging onto every word when I showed you my belly!â You contest.
âIndeed. And you would have won if you kept playing with this strategy, but you made the tactical error of changing the point of pressure.â
You grumble, frustrated. You were really curious, how is sex with him when heâs mean and overly dominant?
âDo not frown, cheo chaâcah. You need not to play the temptress to seduce me, your innate charms work wonders.â He tries to soothe you.
âI wanted to see how it would go if you were mean and harsh.â You pout.
âBeing mean and harsh to you is not appealing to me. I would rather honor you than demeaning you in any way.â He kisses your forehead.
Youâre still deadly curious.
âI will find a way, one day.â You promise, seething.
âDo not sulk, my love.â He smiles, entertained, âLet me take care of you, it will ease the tension between your eyebrows, my darling.â He continues, lowering himself to kiss your clavicle and going more south.
He kisses your tummy reverently, leaving sweet kisses all over it while caressing it. You feel the baby giving him a kick and he responds with a final, loving peck.
âThey too are quite energetic.â He notes, satisfied, âYou keep giving me healthy and strong children. Thank you.â
He then reports his attention to your skirt that he slides down your hips and legs with ease. Still pouting, you close your legs shut to deny him, he chuckles again, sliding his hands between the flesh of your thighs and successfully opening them for him.
âCome on now, there is no need to be difficult, sweet thing. I know you love it when I go down on you.âÂ
Itâs true.
With him being so good at it, you can only love it in return. But he doesnât want to entertain your fancy so you wonât entertain his. You cross your arms over your chest with a grumble.
âYou are unbelievable, cheo Chaâcah. You act like a spoiled child.â You hear his smug smile in his voice, hidden behind your stomach. âBut I know how to make you react, I know everything about you.â
You feel the cold air on your pussy as he slides your panties on the side, he blows on your clit playfully, sending a shiver down your spine again but you refrain from the whine that threatens to pass your lips.
âI will have you sing soon enough, my love.â He says with his usual confidence.
He takes a sloppy lick at your pussy and you greet your teeth together.Â
Do not make a sound! Do not make a sound! Do not make a sound!
Unimpressed by your headstrong attitude, he keeps licking your pussy lips lazily, like a tired, lascivious king, moaning his own pleasure for you.
He also knows that you absolutely love hearing him moan and groan, vocalizing his pleasure out loud, it goes straight to your empty pussy that starts to signify to you that it is scandalously empty.
He laps at your cunny slowly with the flat of his tongue, trailing your slit with his tip and sucking your nervous clit. You bite your lips and dig your nails into the flesh of your arms to maintain control over yourself.
âYour pussy is more honest than you are.â He notes, âIt gets wetter to my touch while you childishly refuse to indulge.â
Oh, heâs one to talk about indulgence, mister frugal lifestyle!
âYou do not! I am a dry ice cube! In fact Iâm starting to get bored!â You manage to let out in a hurry before any tremors come to shake your voice.
Again he simply chuckles at you.
âYou will break, my love.â He simply announces, kissing your sweet pussy between each word. âThat is an absolute certainty.â
Youâll show him you can maintain control over your own person. You will not break!
But he is right on one point, your pussy does get wetter by the seconds, at you great damn.
You keep your jaws closed shut, froward. He resumes laving at your soft pussy that gets softer and softer as your blood travels south. You feel him spread your pussylips with his fingers to lick your hidden, tender flesh.
You feel your abdominals contracting at his sweet touch, and it didnât escape him.
âOh? Are those the first shivers of your undeniable pleasure?â He teases.
âIâm just cold.â You bite back
âNot for long, sweet thing. I will make sure of it.â
As he keeps licking your now dripping pussy you start hearing his purr resonating in the hut. He enjoys himself very much. He loves eating you out as much as you do, if not more. You suddenly feel his tongue entering your wet cavern and start tonguefucking you.
A single moan escapes you before you press your hand on your mouth. His purr drops down to deeper tones, sending shivers through your puffy, wet, walls, raising your hardly refutable pleasureâŠ
âMy little bird does not wish to sing for me? It is alright, I will have you crying, Chaâcah.â
And he starts fucking you harshly in retaliation, his tongue waving and grazing your G spot with such ease it is almost comical. His hand comes to flicker and press your clit, puffy with blood. He makes it roll between his fingers, titillates it consciously as he drinks your slick as he would drink water.
Maker those debauched soundsâŠ
How the wet sounds of your little pussy and his grunts sound to your ears⊠This is highly depraved and debaucherous.
So exciting⊠Argh! Get a grip of yourself! Do not let him win!
He is⊠motivated, to say the least. He must have taken your vow of silence as a personnel challenge because he seems determined to have you cum hard and rapidly. He is eating you out with energy and a will you only encountered when you fought him in battle.
Despite your closed mouth, your uncontrollable whimpers can be heard well in this little room and it is the sweetest melody to his ears, only encouraging him to double his efforts. He eats you out enthusiastically, nastily, roughly, abusing your tender flesh with his swollen lips. He continues moaning without any shame, letting you know that he has no qualms enjoying himself to the fullest while you hold on to a childish pride.
Your dripping pussy convulses around his wet, flexible limb as he brushes your gummy spot with his tip expertly, making your pleasure rise more and more until it comes crashing down upon you. Your little cunny clenches painfully around his tongue and you come against his mouth and against your will.
âWhat a remarkably honest body you have, cheo Chaâcah. Letting me know everything I need to know without a fuss. Guiding me through your true desires so eagerly.â
âYouâre full of yourself!â you spit out.
He gently kisses your thighs, licking you soft, plump flesh with a deep moan.
âAbandon your immature act and just enjoy yourself. Why deny yourself like that, little rebel?â He asks curiously
You do not respond like a mutineer.
âSometimes I do not understand you.â He sighs.
He kisses your pussy reverently, like he gallantly kisses your hand before rising up to free his erection of his constrictive pants. You look away, stubborn, refusing to look at the member that used to give you so many orgasms before.
âYou looking away will not impede the inevitable.â
You feel him coat his shaft with your essence, brushing his cock between your slit back and forth, soaking it with your slick. It brushes against your erected, nervous clit and you have to fight another mewl rising in your throat.
âYour body gives me so much pleasure, I am thankful to you, my love.â He lets you know with a tone of secrets, âWe should indulge more, sharing such intimate moments is so important to build a healthy relationship. I know our sex life slowed down since we became parents, but I still look at you as a woman first, not only a mother, with all the desires and craving it implies.â He continues.
Heâs trying to win you over! To make you lower your defenses! Youâll not surrender for some sugary words, you have more will than that! He sighs lasciviously and unfastens his long hair, letting them frame his handsome face and draping his large shoulders. You gasp at this gorgeous sight.
âI know you think I am trying to sweeten you. I am simply telling my truth.â He brushes his noses in the crook of your neck, caressing your full tummy so tenderly. âEven if you obstinate yourself to deny yourself pleasure for an infantile vagaries, it will not prevent me from doing my best to satisfy you as it is my duty, cheo Chaâcah.â He informs you as a sentence.
You close your eyes shut as he pushes himself inside you, his size making it difficult for your little pussy. You press your lips in a thin line as he splits you in two with his massive member.
âI missed how your little pussy strangles me.â He gasps, deeply satisfied.
He keeps pushing further, pushing your inner flesh apart until you feel his tip brushing your cervix deep, deep inside your most secret place.Â
You gulp, bracing yourself for what is to come.
âYou are so tense, my love. You should relax.â He says tenderly, âThere is no need to make the experience uncomfortable for you.â
âI am 8 months pregnant, I do not simply "relax "." You mock.
âA deep and warm orgasm should help you get more comfortable, my sweet. You can count on me.â He keeps offering you sweet words.
He starts moving, with shallow thrusts, taking it easy on your sore body. You breathe deeply through your nose, trying not to focus on the delicious sensations his ridges give you, how wonderfully full you feel with him inside, how right it feels to have your husband like that. A strangled yelp escapes you as he resumes teasing your clit with his hand as he thrusts into you.
âGive me your hand.â He orders softly.
You feel him trail your arm until he reaches your hand and intertwines your fingers together.
He deepens his thrusts, going deeper, slipping out almost entirely leaving just the tip inside and pushes it back in languorously, undulating his hips against yours.
You try so hard to fight back the waves of pleasure, tensing up your muscles under his inquisitive gaze, but he gives you so much, it is so hard to shield yourself completely when he puts so much energy and love in each of his thrusts, forcing you to endure the delight he offers. You feel tears building up behind your eyes.
You hiss as he rocks his hips with a quicker pace, sliding in and out easily thanks to your first orgasm, the waves of pleasure poisoning your veins and nerves ending.
âYou are so reactive for someone who refuses pleasure.â He placidly notes, âYou can try and hide as much as you want, you cannot lie to me, my love. I know you too well. Your body is an open book to me. Denying it is⊠useless.â He says, modulating his deep, melodious voice as he knows you prefer.
You shake your head vehemently.
âI experienced your body for years, sweet thing. I know it as well as mine. I studied it carefully, each and every single one of your reactions. I know how to please it, I know how to bring it to the verge of an earth shattering orgasm.â
He is so confident in his capacities to please you, youâll give him that. He keeps rubbing your clit and you try to escape his sweet touch but he grasps your hips and impales you back on his cock, burying it to the hilt. You whine.
âYou will not escape it.â It is as much a promise as it is a threat.
He accelerates his pace again, bullying himself into you without any mercy. Your cunny desperately tries to accommodate his size, clenching pathetically around his girthy shaft.
âThose are the reactions I like.â He says smugly. âKiss me, cheo Chaâcah.â
He lowers himself to reach your lips but you turn your head away.
âAre you so cold hearted to deny me your lips?â
You grumble and swiftly kiss his cheek.
âSatisfied?â you bare your teeth.
âThank you. But I hoped for more.â
You purse your lips but let him kiss you, you feel him purring against your mouth. You open your mouth and he enters it with his tongue to dance with yours. He squeezes your hand with his as he deepens the kiss, looming over your body. You growl in the kiss but feel his lips draw in a smile.
So you bite his lips in retaliation.
He licks the little bead of blood away, looking at you with a pleased expression.
âI love when you defy me.â He says lowly, keeping his hard pace, âI love it even more when it is clear you will lose.â
âI am losing nothing!â
âI have the clear memory of making you cum two minutes ago. And you will suffer another defeat in less than three. How does it feel, little rebel? Knowing your greatest efforts go to waste against a superior will.â
âImperial dog!â You spit.
âKeep that energy up, my love.â He kisses your cheek.
He accentuates his hips action, making you squeal uncontrollably.
âCa-Careful the baby!â You warn indignant.
âThe baby is fine.â He replies with a mocking tone, âIn fact, they can sense how good their mother feels. I reckon they must enjoy themself thoroughly with you squirming so desperately under my touch.â
âI⊠Fuck you!â
He snickers and raises on his knees, forcing your hips up in the air. He digs his fingers in the flesh of your plump hips to keep you in place, doing so he removed all control you had over the action. Now you are truly a victim of his will.
âSuch foul language. I better understand Thaishiâs manners.â
He slows down the pace to give a circling motion of his hips to vary the sensations, making sure his girth rubs every sensitive spot in your vagina. You tremble terribly in his hands, like struck by lightning. You bite down your lips terribly to not moan.
To no availâŠ
âAh yes, the sweet moans of my muse. It only motivates me to work harder for you.â
He plundges his cock deep, scratching every itch, making you sing against your will. You feel tears rolling on your flushed lips as you try to catch up your breath under such physical exercises.
He leans forward to lick your tears away, the salt tingling on his darted tongue deliciously.
âYou are beautiful, my sweet. Crying your pleasure out loud like that.â
Embarrassed, you hide your eyes with one arm, only for him to grip it immediately to take it off.
âNo, Chaâcah. You do not get to hide from me.â
âPl-please finish soonâŠâ You beg.
You have enough of this trial and humiliation, youâre too tired to get this beating. Something snapped in your stomach, begging for him to reach his climax and yours with it.
âFinishing this early? But I feel plenty full of ardor today, I had in mind to keep going for one or two hours more. Just to be sure you orgasmed correctly, I would hate to have you unsatisfied, my love, your enjoyment is my priority.â
You tremble, shaken by spasms, convulsing in pleasure, stiffness reaching all of your limbs as the waves of pleasure incapacitate you as they spread in your veins. You feel your little pussy gaping around his shaft desperately trying to keep him in.
âOkay⊠You won, I surrender. Please, finish soon..â You say panting, gasping for air at each of his powerful thrust.
âMy, my, you are giving up so easily, my dear. But your wish is my command.â
He adjusts his position, and installs a break-necking pace. Youâre being pushed against the mattress without mercy and you bite your tongue in the confusion. You cannot help the squeals escaping your pretty mouth while he moans in tandem with your plaints.
Your pussy clenches hard as you come, trying to retain him inside, strangling him just like he loves sending him over the edge. He slows down his pace and comes undone inside.
Youâre shaking, crying, getting back from your high as he puts his forehead against yours, caressing your cheek.
âChaâcah?â He calls in a whisper, âAre you alright?â
You nod, your visage hidden in your hands, catching your breath. He kisses your hands before taking them off your face and pecks your cheek and nose.
âBreath deep, cheo Chaâcah. Easy.â
He holds you tight, cradling your body tenderly.
âThere⊠Breath. Everything is alright.â
You gasp, wiping your tears away.
âOh MakerâŠâ You whimper.
He brushes his nose with yours, his long hair framing his gorgeous face.Â
âEverything is fine, you are with me, my love.â He keeps soothing you.Â
A sigh mixed with a gasp escapes you as you feel your heart calming down in your chest. Thrawn keeps kissing your face tenderly, holding your cheek in his warm palm. He slips out of you, leaving you intolerably empty and slides to the side where he takes you in his arms to hold you close. You bury your face in his neck and breathe in his musk to calm down, his hand comes caressing your hair gently, appeasingly.Â
âI love you.â He murmurs.Â
âI love you too⊠â You respond, exhausted.Â
âWe should bathe.â
âI'm too tired⊠â You complain, nudging against himÂ
âCome on, ch'eo vir. Let me help.â
He rises with 8 months pregnant you in his arms and heads towards the river where he bathes you both conscientiously, laying you against his naked chest, surrounded by fresh water. You doze off, too relaxed to keep your eyes open.Â
---------------
You were playing with Thaishi when you heard a familiar sound resonate through the air like a loud bang. Immediately, the sky darkens, the sun disappears and a weird silence takes place in the village, everyone looking up.
You raise your head, gulping, and Thaishi points to the large object in the sky.Â
âMum, what's that?â she asks, as fascinated as she appears terrified.
Massive and large, the ISD floats over the village like a dark presage, brining death and fire with it.
âThis isâŠâ You start, feeling panic rising, âThis isâŠâ
The two headed serpent leave no doubt whoâs ISD it is.
Theyâre here for Thrawn!
You pick up Thaishi in your arms precipitaly, making her yelp in surprise and run to your hut, hugging her tight. When you arrive you see Thrawn passing the doorframe in his white uniform, hair cut and black boot unsoiled.Â
You almost hit him with your speed, but you stop just in time.
âThrawn!â
âI know, Chaâcah. Do not worry.â
âBut⊠Where does this uniform come from? Why are they here? Why-â
âI managed to contact them.â He drops the bomb.
You look at him completely dumbfounded, at loss for words.
âWhat? But⊠How could youâŠâ
He put his hands on your shoulders to ground you.
âChaâcah, we are going home.â
You feel like the ground just opened under your feet and would swallow you whole. Your legs give up under you, in shock, but Thrawn catches you and Thaishi expertly.
â(Y/n)! Are you alright?â
âMom?â Your daughter calls for you in the hands of her father, afraid.
You close your eyes.
You cannot believe it.
The day you feared the most came. You will be separated, torn apart, never to see each other again.
Some villagers came to you when you fell, Thrawn let you in their care, kissing your forehead and heading towards the Chief huts.
When you reopen your eyes, you are in the healerâs hut. You discard the wet fabric she placed on your forehead and go outside.
The ISD is here.
Ominous and threatening.
You reel for some steps before straightening yourself. Here you find Thrawn holding Thaishi, the Chiefs and a woman in an imperial uniform.
Where did he hide this perfectly neat uniform? During all those years he hid it from you, well tidied in a box, awaiting its hour. You suddenly feel a spick of ire in your vein at the sight of that clean white.
Thrawn turns towards you, and a light smile comes lightening his face.
âThere she is. Commodore Faro I want you to meet Lady (F/n). My wife.â
Faro slowly bows to you, but something in her eyes displeases you.
She knows who you are.
She doesnât recognize you as a crew member of Thrawn ships and the only other people present that day were Rebels.
She knows.
She gives a side glance at her Grand Admiral but abstains from any comments.
âLady (F/n).â She politely but coldly greets.
âEverything is taking care of, Chaâcah.â Thrawn continues, âWe will embark everyone on board and exit that planet.â
You turn your head to the chiefs, interrogating them with your eyes.
âWe agreed to let your husband temper with the ship if he promised us to take us with you.â
âBut.. Youâve been here for a millennia⊠This is your home⊠Your planet.â
âWe are wanderers at heart, our place is flying through space, not remaining on a single rock.â
You turn back to Thrawn, mouth agape and tears behind the eyes.
âThrawn⊠You cannot be seriousâŠâ
âChaâcah.â He cuts you softly, âOur place is not here, our home and duties are away from this planet. It is time for us to go.â
You want to slap him across the face, scream at him, telling him that he will never know the child you bare, that he is killing this family.
âLeave me here with Thaishi.â You just say weakly.
You cannot resume your combat, you cannot fight your husband even if you know youâre in the right, you cannot say goodbye to your children and leave them alone.
âI am not leaving you on this backwater planet, love.â He warns, âWe discussed this subject matter and agreed. Thaishi and the baby will be sent to the Ascendancy and live a safe life while we will go back to our responsibilities.â
âHow can you say that?â You feel ire rising in your veins.
âWe are both warriors. We both know our duties would supplant everything in our life.â
âThrawnâŠâ You beg.
He caresses your cheek and his thumb swipe one silent tear that rolls on your skin, you sob.
âThose four years have been a blessing. The miracle I stopped hoping for.â He presses his forehead against yours, looking you in the eyes with a sigh, âBut the dream must end. It is time now to wake up and advance.â
âThrawnâŠâ Your voice is no more than a pathetic plea.
âI know, Chaâcah. I will never stop loving you and will cherish those memories I have with you both. But it is timeâŠâ
He extends his hand to you with a comforting smile while your image of him gets blurry with tears.
âCome home with me, my love?â

I JUST HAD A HUGE THEORY!
So, y'know how Deltarune shares a lot of similarities to Undertale? With the monsters on the surface and having the main human able to be controlled by the player?
Well, I kept considering the theory that Deltarune is an alternate timeline of Undertale. But I kept trying to figure out how this could work.
According to Deltatraveler (I know it's not canon just stay with me here) there is a younger Noelle and Susie, and Frisk was commented by Dess to be a "Younger Kris".
However, I immediately ran into a road-block over Kris and Frisk. The idea of Frisk being Kris from the past came to mind but then I remembered that Frisk is their true name and not whatever you entered in. The name you entered in is the first child's name.
(Fwi: It's NOT Chara. Yes, Chara is called "The true name" but Chara is just short for Character so it doesn't count. Regardless, whatever you name the human doesn't matter in this situation. The human we play as is named Frisk, end of question)
And now we're left with either two options: Kris and Frisk are seperate entities or Frisk died/changed name and Kris took their place in the Dreemurr family.
Now, let's go with the former thought: Frisk and Kris are seperate. That means we need to at least confirm that the pacifist ending where we split off and go our seperate ways is canon. Frisk becomes the monster ambassador and Toriel later adopts Kris.
Okay, now what? Seems seamless, right- WRONG! We're missing someone...
Asriel. He's in college in deltarune, but a flower in Undertale. Yes, he's back to normal in the pacifist ending but does revert back into a flower later on so this doesn't make any sense.
So either A. Asriel never died at all in this timeline which I doubt (until later) OR B. Flowey got a soul and became Asriel again. Also no, I doubt this.
But as I got to thinking, I came to a realization... Don't Toriel and Asgore look older than their counterparts in Undertale? Boss monsters don't age unless they have children who are alive.
AND THEN I HIT AN EPIPHANY! The only way Deltarune and Undertale could differentiate in the timeline is when Asriel was BORN.
That explains why he's still alive and in college! But then we might be asking about Frisk, and I have an explanation for that!
Frisk... Still exists. It's just that they chose not to stay with the monsters and became the main ambassador for them on the surface.
The story goes that Asgore and Toriel used to live together. Then the first human fell and they took them in. Unfortunately they died due to buttercup poisoning and with Asgore realizing he could use their soul to break the barrier and placing this plan in motion, Toriel divorced him.
Then the next five humans came down until we finally encountered Frisk, who, through sheer determination, used their soul to help shatter the barrier. Monsters reached the surface and they agreed to become their ambassador before splitting off.
After monsters integrated back into society, they took up normal human jobs and roles. But Toriel slowly began to miss having a child around. Asgore eventually made amends with her and the two finally decided to have a child together; Asriel. Things kept going smoothly until Toriel, while visiting a human town, came across Kris in an orphanage and decided to adopt them.
The two Dreemurrs seemingly got into a feud over money due to having another child and got divorced yet again, this time for real. With Asgore scraping by and Toriel with a stable job, she continued to raise both kids with Asgore not having much custody besides visitation rights.
Soon enough Asriel went off to college and Kris got into school. And the rest is soon-to-be history.
Magic did slowly fade out since rarely anyone ever used it, seeing as being in the underground was now millenia ago. It's such a distant memory that no one acknowledges this dark part of their past.
And that's it! Thank you for hearing me out.

Bionicle Superhero AU thing but I'm actually like pinning down some aspects the actual lore I guess (some of which are retcons of stuff from here) in a somewhat disjointed way that I might elaborate more on in the form of a document or diagram or something.
Also if you want more details on a specific thing, just like. Send an ask or whatever. Especially since a lot of this stuff is kinda limited compared to what I could do in one of those other formats.
World
The whole thing takes place on Earth.
Metru City, the main location, is a sort of pastiche of Metropolis from DC, and therefore a stand-in for New York.
If Metru City is Metropolis, then its neighbour, Voya City, is Gotham, being much darker and having a very obvious class divide. It's also kinda inspired by Steelport from Saints Row: The Third, being a run-down industrial city that serves as the base of operations for a powerful crime syndicate.
(Almost) everyone's names are different, but to avoid confusion and because I want to have like a full name list I'll use their canon names. Exceptions will be noted. Characters who lack canon names will have their names [in square brackets].
There are original characters, but they won't be listed here.
There is a metanarrative that's mostly an excuse to talk about hypothetical in-universe game and film adaptations, and also the specific decades different characters and universes are introduced and their earlier versions in cases where I actually have an idea for that.
Alternate timelines/universes
G2
A version of the main timeline where everything is more futuristic, the Mata look and act differently (and are all like 5 years younger), and the Inika and Metru are completely different people entirely (with the Metru acting as the Inika's mentors).
Instead of the Makuta being a species, there is now a single being called Makuta, who is this universe's equivalent of Karzahni. Rather than retiring from godhood and becoming a back-alley surgeon, he was imprisoned for millenia awakening every 100 years; whenever he awakens, he is eventually defeated by...
Ekimu, a warrior that is reincarnated every century and is destined to return Makuta to his imprisonment. This universe's Takua is the next incarnation of Ekimu and can transform into him, magical girl-style. However, every time Ekimu incarnates, so does Umarak, an underling of Makuta with shadow-based powers; the current incarnation of Umarak is this timeline's version of Ahkmou.
Metru City is now called Okoto City and is much larger, covering some of the area that's occupied by Voya City in the main timeline.
There are a few heroes and villains who only exist in this timeline, e.g Exo (who is technically this timeline's version of Dume; more on that further down), Kulta's Skeleton Army, the Elemental Beasts, etc.
Some aspects of this timeline are inspired by Dimension 23 from Ben 10 Omniverse, for example the fact that a lot of characters have different stuff going on than in canon (e.g Vezon is the mayor of Okoto City) and that the "main" heroes are a lot more immature than their main-timeline counterparts.
Empire
Literally just the Toa Empire universe, with very few changes. Tuyet and Nidhiki killed Lhikan, Tuyet declared herself god-empress, and now the world sucks.
Invasion
A morality-swap universe where the Spherans destroyed their own planet and invaded Earth; the Makuta have light powers and are attempting to liberate the planet, and what (specifically human) characters do and don't have superpowers are swapped.
Technically the equivalent of the Melding, albeit much worse.
Opposite
An inversion of the main universe; the Skrall attacked and destroyed Earth, so humanity travelled through space and made contact with Spherus Magna.
The equivalent of the Spherus Magna Alternate Universe, though instead of the plot never happening, the plot actually happened the other way around.
Doomed
A world created when Jaller attempted to use the Mask of Time to travel back and save Matoro; the Skrall's superweapon fired, but missed Earth and hit the moon. However, the radiation from the blast turned most of Earth into a desert; a large amount of Earth's population is dead, and Matoro lives in self-imposed exile. However, what remains of humanity have managed to piece together a new civilisation in what used to be Metru City.
The equivalent of the Kingdom.
City of Silver
A film-noir universe where all the old heroes are still active and in their prime, the Metru and Mata are children, and the Inika haven't even been born.
Superpowers are much rarer, and are mostly explained as being magic, or changed to be more realistic (e.g Dume's ability to instantly repair things is just him being really good at fixing stuff, and Jovan's magnetism comes from a pair of electromagnetic gauntlets).
The Barraki are all a single crime family rather than a syndicate, and rather than being immortal, they are all descendants of the original Barraki (though they mostly look the same as their main-timeline counterparts (albeit in period-accurate clothing), with the exceptions of Carapar, Ehlek and Pridak, who are women). Nocturn is one of the few explicitly-supernatural things in the universe.
While it's named after the City of Silver Pocket-Dimension from Bionicle canon, this universe is conceptually inspired by Earth 90214 from Marvel and also Fallen Aces kinda and really just the whole "proto-superhero" concept.
Earth B
A world where everything is a little bit... off. The Mata and Metru aren't superheroes, the Inika Fanclub are older than the Inika and act like mentors to them, Voya City and Metru City swap names, Axonn and Brutaka are supervillains, there are no Makuta or Spherans, and the Piraka are high-ranking gangsters instead of CEOs, among other changes.
Basically this AU's excuse to reference Bionicle Heroes PC/Console's weird BS (other than the main-timeline Piraka's respective businesses).
Golden Age
The original versions of the Metru, Mata, Mangai and Hagah from the early-1930s to the mid-1950s.
Some characters' genders and even races are different, and the queer characters are all. Not that.
The characters' jobs are also different, e.g Lewa is a circus performer instead of a professional gymnast, Pohatu is an explorer instead of a footballer, and Tahu is a scientist instead of a firefighter.
Various characters and factions don't exist in this timeline, as they weren't introduced (in the metanarrative) until later; this includes the Inika and Barraki (who first appeared in the mid '60s), the Cordak and Order of Mata Nui/Federation of Fear (who first appeared in the early '70s), and the Hero Factory (who first appeared in the late '90s).
The Chiara Games
Essentially the AU's equivalent of the Arkhamverse; in the metanarrative, Chiara has her own videogame series. They include grittier reimaginings of her rogues gallery, and plots adapted (usually somewhat loosely) from the comics. There are also a few original characters.
The games play like a cross between actual Arkham games, but with elements of Dishonored, and Zeno Clash in its stealth and combat, respectively; the former works somewhat differently (you can't grapple up to overhanging scenery, but you have superpowers like a medium-range electric shock that can stun guards and disable security cameras), and the latter is based around attacking individual enemies while avoiding other nearby ones rather than bouncing between multiple enemies in a horde.
Very few other superheroes appear, though some that don't appear are mentioned occasionally, and some of their villains show up as bosses.
While Chiara is the main protagonist, Zaria and Vezon are playable in some of the games; the former has a more combat-focused gameplay style, while the latter is even more stealth focused (since his powers are being restrained).
Other minor worlds that I don't have much to say about
The Shadow Timeline (a more straightforward morality-swap than the Invasion; the Shadow Toa come from this timeline)
Cosmic Nightmares (Lovecraft-inspired early 20th century cosmic-horror take on the main universe; Artakha, Karzahni and Mata Nui are unfathomable elder-gods, Teridax is more obviously an alien pretending to be a human, and no-one has superpowers)
Manga (a manga version of the main "comic" where everything is at least somewhat different; based on similar real-world things)
Chiara: The Animated Series (an animated series about Chiara, which introduced a lot of elements that would be used in later parts of the canon)
Pirates (arrrrr, they be pirates!)
Cinematic Universe (the equivalent of both the MCU and the DCEU)
Zombies (because of course)
Obligatory boring realistic version where everything has to make sense and no-one has superpowers (yeah that)
Cheesy 1960s Toa Mata live-action TV show (which is where the idea of Tahu being a fireman instead of a scientist came from)
Assorted one-off what-ifs (including but not limited to "what if the Mata received their powers from Karzahni instead of Artakha?", "what if Umbra had awakened in the 1880s?", "what if the Chronicler's Company were the most recent incarnations of the Inika?", and "what if Pohatu was a wild-west gunslinger?")
Superhero teams
Mata/Nuva
Six heroes from the Mata district, with element-based superpowers gained by exposure to relics created by Artakha, the god of crafting.
They have an honourary seventh Member, Takanuva, who sometimes works with them (and will therefore be listed here).
Tahu
A firefighter who was given fire-based powers.
His associated relic is the Volcanic Blade.
Gali
A lifeguard who was given water-based powers.
Her associated relic is the Oceanic Hook.
Onua
An archaeologist who was given earth-based powers.
Once went on an expedition led by Avak, but was forced to leave after he caught Avak attempting to steal one of the recovered artifacts.
His associated relics is the Subterranean Gauntlets.
Lewa
A professional gymnast who was given air-based powers.
His associated relic is the Atmospheric Axe.
Pohatu
A footballer who was given stone-based powers.
His associated relics are the Ore Boots.
Kopaka
A rescue worker who was given ice-based powers.
His associated relic is the Auroral Shield.

Vakama
A welder.
Can turn almost fully invisible, though he still has a shadow.

Whenua
A curator at Avak's museum.
Can see in the dark.
Matau
A retired fighter-pilot.
Able to create visual illusions.

Studying law.
Can increase his body's performance for a short period of time.
Hahli
On the Voya University hockey team.
Studying history.
Can transform into animals.
Nuparu
Invents things in his free time.
Studying engineering.
Can move silently.
His father was a famous engineer. In the 1980s, he was commissioned by the mayor of Metru City (who was actually Teridax in disguise) to create law-enforcement robots; Teridax then used the robots to turn the city into a police-state, until the Metru defeated him. Almost 20 years later, he was killed by Reidak, who then started going after Nuparu himself.
Kongu
Really into flight-sims.
Studying ornithology.
Has telepathy.
Hewkii
On the Voya University football team. A massive fan of Pohatu.
Studying sports science.
Has perfect aim.
Matoro
Helped translate Nuju's observatory shows into other languages.
Was studying linguistics.
Could astrally project.
Sacrificed himself to save Earth, using the Ignika to overload the Skrall mothership's cannon.
Mangai
A multinational superhero team, brought together to help fight a giant monster that attacked Metru City in the 1970s. Disbanded in 1984.
In the G2 timeline, they're younger (around the same age as the main-timeline Inika) and don't end up breaking up.
Lhikan
From North America (specifically California).
Vakama's adoptive father.
Carries a pair of high-tech swords that can transform into a hoverboard.
Nidhiki
From Spain.
A former mercenary.
Was mutated into a crab-like creature by Roodaka, and is now a Dark Hunter.
Naho
From Japan.
A professional swimmer.
Can turn invisible.
Went missing ever since the Mangai disbanded.
Tuyet
From France.
The daughter of two very rich, very dead arms dealers. Her parents were assassinated by a Dark Hunter.
Has complete intangibility.
Went rogue after the Dark Hunter who killed her parents came back to finish the job, leading her to kill civilians in the hopes that the murders would be pinned on the Dark Hunters.
In the G2 timeline, she's a full-on supervillain.
[Ice Toa 1]
From Japan.
Has enhanced reflexes.
Returned to their home country, and still helps protect it to this day.
[Ice Toa 2]
From Scotland.
Can use magic.
Stayed in Metru City, and fights supernatural threats that non-magic heroes can't.
[Ice Toa 3]

[Earth Toa]
From Italy.
Had super-speed.
Was killed by the Dark Hunters.
[Plantlife Toa]
From China.
Has healing powers.
Returned to their original team, before retiring in the 2000s.
Hagah
Six wildlife conservationists who were given superpowers by a dying Makuta that crash-landed in the jungle.
The Hero Factory Initiative
A team of artificial superheroes created by the Order of Mata Nui.
They still have their canon first-names, but their canon "surnames" are now their superhero pseudonyms.
They're also a band.
Their rogues gallery won't be talked about in this post (for the most part) because I can't be bothered, but they're just like. The various Hero Factory antagonists but adapted to the setting (e.g the Quatros Beasts are just mutated animals, Von Nebula is a rejected Hero Factory superhero, and Core Hunter is a high-ranking member of Mantax's "MANTA" taskforce who was also originally part of the Hero Factory initiative).
In the G2 timeline, they're sentient robots instead.
Preston/"Stormer"
Extremely resistant to the cold, at the cost of finding even room-temperature too hot.
Plays drums.
Duncan/"Bulk"
Very durable and strong, but still feels normal amounts of pain.
Plays guitar.
Jimi/"Stringer"
Can shout loud enough to shatter glass, but can't control his voice's volume.
Plays bass.
William/"Furno"
Can control - but not create - fire.
Does vocals.
Mark/"Surge"
Has a constant static charge running through his body and across his skin, meaning he can't touch anyone without shocking them.
Plays keyboards.
Natalie/"Breez"
Can alter the movement of air in a radius, allowing her to glide, but she has to maintain concentration.
Does vocals.
Julius/"Nex"
Can control technology.
Helps with the band's equipment.
Nathan/"Evo"
Can transform into human/animal hybrids, but only for 10 minutes at a time, and he has to wait 10 minutes afterwards because self-indulgent reference.
Helps organise the band's concerts, and designs their flyers and album covers.
Cordak
An ameteur team composed of students from a school for young superheroes. Most of them died during an attack from Teridax's underlings, leaving only one of them alive.
In the G2 timeline, they are still active, acting as mentors to the Mangai.
Lesovikk
One of only two survivors of the attack (the other being Zaria).
Wanders the globe, helping out wherever he can.
Nikila
A powerful psychic, and second in command.
Supervillain teams
Piraka
Six extremely rich and corrupt billionaires who coincidentally gained superpowers at the same time, and went mad with power.
In the G2 timeline, they are more cartoonishly evil, have elemental powers, and their superpowers are more visible when not active. Also, Vezok, Thok and Zaktan are women.
Hakann
The CEO of a tungsten-mining company; gained his powers after being exposed to a strange mineral while visiting one of his mines.
He can fire heat-beams from his eyes, and also has fire-based powers.
His G2 counterpart has a "gauntlet" of cracked stone covering his entire left arm, with a firey glow coming from inside; his eyes also glow.
Vezok
The CEO of a shipping company, and a hobbyist cave-diver; gained his powers after touching a strange artifact while cave-diving.
His G2 counterpart has fishlike scales around her neck and arms, as well as webbed fingers and a large dorsal sail.
Reidak
An extremely successful oil baron, and a former engineer; doesn't have any powers, but instead used his engineering skills to build a powerful exoskeleton out of sheer boredom.
His exo-suit has thermal and infrared vision, can adapt to an opponent's abilities or fighting-style, and its limbs contain multiple guns and lasers.
Had a one-sided rivalry with Nuparu's father, who "stole" the "victory" of having his design chosen for Metru City's robotic defenders. After he murdered him, the hate then extended to Nuparu himself, who witnessed the murder and was approaching his father's level of technological aptitude, the latter of which set off Reidak's hate.
His G2 counterpart is a full-on cyborg, with almost a third of his head replaced by cybernetics, as well as his entire right arm up to the shoulder.
Zaktan
A famous architect and ameteur explorer; gained his powers after activating a mysterious, seemingly magical trap in a temple, which broke his body down into a swarm of flies.
Along with being made of flies, Zaktan can also fire lasers from his eyes.
His G2 counterpart has insectoid mandibles next to her mouth, as well as large dragonfly-like wings and an abdomen with a stinger.
Avak
The owner of the museum that Whenua works at, and an archaeologist who is infamous for stealing the artifacts his expedition crews unearth; while at a dig, he accidentally activated a mysterious, seemingly magical mechanism (while trying to hide it in his pocket), which gave him his powers.
He has X-ray vision, and can summon energy-cages to trap opponents.
His G2 counterpart is made out of a marble-like substance that can shapeshift into different forms.
Thok
The CEO of a lumber company, with an interest in mountain-climbing; while trying to climb Mount Mangaia (which is located in the Pacific in this AU), he fell into a cavern that was actually one of the engines of Teridax's ship, and the alien particles within gave him superpowers.
He can disorientate his opponents, and is also more resistant to the cold.
His G2 counterpart has multiple ice-spikes sticking out of her head instead of hair, as well as "talons" made of ice. She also wears a lot of fur coats.
Barraki
Six ancient kings who attained immortality thousands of years ago, but lost their thrones after the first holders of the Inika title defeated them; they have since become the heads of a very powerful crime syndicate, with their headquarters in the middle of Voya City, hiding behind the front of Kingdom Security Solutions.
Each Barraki controls a sixth of the city, and has their own themed gang.
Their names are all the same as in canon.
In the G2 timeline, they weren't granted true immortality, but instead tranferred into magical stone bodies resembling humanoid versions of their canon selves' respective animals.
Pridak
The leader of the Barraki's current iteration.
Greying but handsome.
Likes wearing white suits, which tend to get stained with blood very quickly.
Eats people, which is the most common reason for him getting blood on his suits.
The leader of the Piranhas; classier criminals who wear white and red.
Kalmah
Covered head-to-toe in scars from many fights, and is missing his left eye.
Wears a bulletproof vest at all times, and is rarely seen in public without the three-eyed demon mask he wore when he was still a king.
The leader of the Krakens; an army of super-strong brawlers that have facial tattoos based on Kalmah's mask.
Ehlek
Weak and emaciated from a combination of spending years Not Doing Shitâą, and also just being like that I guess. Relies on Nocturn to do all the fighting for him. Speaks almost exclusively in his culture's language (which is basically just Latin).
Still wears his regalia from when he was a king.
The leader of the Anguillae; warriors that carry swords, spears and shields, and wear armour modelled after the soldiers of Ehlek's kingdom, with eel motifs on the shoulders, a helmet shaped like a sea serpent's head, and Ehlek's coat of arms on the chest and shields.
Mantax
Very buff.
Wears tactical combat gear 24/7.
The leader of MANTA; a squadron of stealth snipers that silently assassinate the Barraki's high-priority opponents.
Carapar
Big in all directions.
Wore the most casual outfit out of all the Barraki; a white tank-top, a pair of canvas trousers, and also metal kneepads I guess.
He also wore a bandolier, despite rarely ever carrying a weapon that would require one. He saw it in an action movie once and thought it looked cool.
The leader of Claw; a militia armed with powerful weapons.
He was briefly part of the Federation of Fear, but died during the mission to rescue Miserix.
Takadox
Skinny murder-twink.
Wears an incredibly garish cyan suit, large red-tinted round-lens sunglasses, and silver high-heeled boots with bladed heels.
The leader of the Peacocks; flamboyant fighters who weaponise dancing.
He briefly became part of the Federation of Fear and went on the mission to resuce Miserix, but then abandoned the team early on.
Nocturn
A strange aquatic being that protected Ehlek's kingdom millenia ago. No other members of his species have ever been recorded, and his appearance is basically a combination of unrelated aquatic species in a somewhat humanoid form (a head resembling a crab, but with a shark's mouth; a pair of tentacles on his shoulders, one of which has been cut down to a stump; frog-like webbed hands and feet, but with claws like a crocodile; anemone-like fronds across his back), making it likely he was created through supernatural means.
Fights on behalf of Ehlek, who is too frail to do so himself.
Dark Hunters
A worldwide assassin organisation.
Most of the members are also standalone villains, and a few even left the organisation at some point. They're just sorted here for convenience.
The Shadowed One
The leader of the Dark Hunters.
Like in canon, he does have a name, but everyone just calls him "The Shadowed One".
Roodaka
The wealthy heiress of a major weapons company.
Has a PHD in bioengineering, which she used to create a substance that mutates people.
Her City of Silver counterpart is an archetypical film-noir femme fatale, who is also the woman-behind-the-man for Sidorak.
Her G2 counterpart is a cyberneticist who uses nanites to forcibly augment her captives.
Shadow Stealer
An extremely edgy '90s villain who, in the metanarrative, managed to stay a regular recurring antagonist into the 21st century, being reimagined as either a serious threat or a goofy parody depending on the writer. In the AU's main "comic run", he's the former, with a faintly-Lovecraftian cosmic horror twist to his design and backstory.
He was a researcher in the 1920s, who found a mysterious artifact belonging to an ancient civilisation that worshipped a being known as Tren Krom. The artifact granted him immortality and the ability to control people by manipulating their shadows, but the twisted his soul, turning him into his current form.
His original '90s premise was just that he was an evil Tren Krom hooded-cultist guy who inexplicably was absolutely ripped, had like 10 belts across his entire outfit, and could kill people by ripping their shadows out of their bodies. He was also technically a hero, but this was changed later on when he was rewritten as part of the Dark Hunters.
Mimic
A warrior who can recreate any action he sees another perform.
Part of Chiara's rouges gallery, though they have worked together in the past.
His wife was critically injured in an earthquake and is now on life support. Mimic works for the Dark Hunters in an attempt to help pay for the treatments required to keep her alive; in the metanarrative, this backstory was created in the '90s as part of the Chiara animated series, and became a major part of Mimic's character going forwards yes that is a Cold Cold Heart reference.
In the G2 timeline, Mimic was injured instead, and his wife has the whole action-copying gimmick instead.
Kulta
A time-displaced king from an ancient civilisation.
His G2 counterpart is undead, and commands the Skeleton Army (who don't exist in the main timeline).
Lariska
Literally just canon!Lariska but human.
Was briefly part of the Federation of Fear, but left after their mission to rescue Miserix from Antiderm Inc.; however, she still helps the Order of Mata Nui from time to time.
Teridax's Rebellion
A group of Makuta who tried to usurp their planet's leaders, but ended up being banished into space.
In the G2 timeline, they are all regular humans, and have their human disguises' names as their actual names.
Teridax
The leader of a failed rebellion against the Makuta homeworld's leaders.
His name is still Teridax in this AU. This applies to all other Makuta.
His human disguise is "Terrence Daxter", CEO of Antiderm Inc.
Antroz
His human disguise is "Andrew Rose", head of Antiderm's materials research department.
Vamprah
His human disguise is "Vance Emporia", head of Antiderm's nutritional research department.
Chirox
His human disguise is "Kai Roscoe", head of Antiderm's sonics research department.
Gorast
Her human disguise is "Gloria Aster", head of Antiderm's neurological research department.
Bitil
His human disguise is "Bill Tilford", head of Antiderm's quantum research department.
Krika
His human disguise is "Christopher Calford", head of Antiderm's communications department.
Kojol
His human disguise is "Cody Jones", head of Antiderm's cybersecurity department.
Tridax
His human disguise is "Tristan Daxter", head of Antiderm's dimensional-travel research project, and also "Terrence Daxter"'s brother.
Icarax
His human disguise is "Icarus Ragnarsson", Antiderm's head of security.
Sidorak
A corrupt politician who Teridax was lobbying as part of his attempt to take over the world.
Was married to Roodaka, but she ended up mutating Sidorak into a giant spider-monster that fought the Metru and was killed by Keetongu.
His City of Silver counterpart is a mob boss, though he's really just a puppet for Roodaka.
The Zyglak
Carnivorous creatures from the Makuta homeworld.
A swarm of them are responsible for the deaths of most of the students at Orde's school, including almost all of the Cordak.
Miserix
A member of the Makuta council who Teridax's rebellion managed to capture, and ended up being brought with them when they went to Earth. The Federation of Fear were sent on a mission to rescue him from a prison under the Antiderm Inc. headquarters, which led to the deaths of Carapar and Spiriah.
His preferred form is a large, dragon-like creature, based on a creature from the Makuta homeworld.
Doesn't have a name for his human disguise, since he improvised it during the Federation of Fear's rescue mission, and went back to his big scary dragon form afterwards.
His G2 timeline counterpart is called "Mr. Ricks", and is Antiderm HQ's elderly head janitor who has been working there since before Teridax became the CEO.
The Shadow Toa
Evil counterparts of the Mata from an alternate timeline, brought into the main reality by Tridax.
Their overall backstories are the same (six random people who were given elemental artifacts created by Artakha), but their jobs and personalities are different.
Tahu
An arsonist who was given fire-based powers.
Gali
A pirate who was given water-based powers.
Onua
An archaeologist who was given earth-based powers.
Once went on an expedition led by Avak, but was forced to leave after Avak caught him attempting to steal one of the recovered artifacts.
Lewa
A thief who was given air-based powers.
Pohatu
A mob enforcer who was given stone-based powers.
Kopaka
A "tour guide" (actually a con artist who intentionally gets people lost in dangerous and remote places, then refuses to return them if they don't give him their money) who was given ice-based powers.
Takanuva
Has shadow powers instead of light.
Other factions (and also species)
The Order of Mata Nui
An organisation that helps fund and support Superhero teams, as well as storing dangerous artifacts and imprisoning superpowered criminals.
Their name comes from a mythical warrior who is said to only appear when the entire world is in imminent danger; Helryx, who founded the organisation, does not believe that Mata Nui was a real being, but instead named the Order after him because the organisation's goal was similar.
While the public knows they exist, their agents are required to keep their identities secret to anyone outside the Order for the safety of both the agents and their loved ones.
Helryx
The Order's founder and leader.
In a secret relationship with a Spheran scientist; after the Spherans finally revealed their existence to the public, Helryx proposed to her, and they got married.
Axonn
The Order's quartermaster, and a former agent.
Can sense if people are telling the truth.
Married to Brutaka; even when Brutaka was mind-controlled by Teridax, Axonn still tried to save him, and they stayed together afterwards.
Hydraxon
A high-ranking agent in charge of the Order's prison, The Pit.
During a successful escape attempt by the Barraki, Hydraxon was stabbed to death by Takadox.
Dekar Sr.
An agent who inherited Hydraxon's position after his death.
Umbra
An ancient demigod who was entombed underground in case the Ignika was disturbed. He awakened in the 1980s when he sensed that the mask has been unearthed, emerging from underneath the roller-rink that had been built on top of where he was hidden, and soon became enamoured with the popular culture of the time, taking his name from a movie poster, adopting a glam-rock fashion sense, and wearing a pair of rollerblades at all times. The rollerblades were eventually upgraded by the Order to have built-in rocket boosters.
Has a very close friendship with Jovan's daughter, who helped him adjust to the modern world.
His name is still Umbra in this AU.
In the G2 timeline, he was instead awakened in the 1990s, and dresses like a character from The Matrix. His purpose in this timeline is to prevent the Mask of Ultimate Power from falling into the wrong hands.
Krakua
The vocalist of a '90s pop band, and currently a superpowered Order of Mata Nui operative.
Partially responsible for the existence of the Order of Mata Nui's UK branch.
Can manipulate sound-waves.
Mazeka
A fan of Krakua's band; he joined the Order and discovered that one of his heroes coincidentally happened to also work there.
He lost most of his limbs and half of his face to a bomb set up by Carapar's gang, and had them replaced with prosthetics.
Tobduk
An Order commander who becomes stronger the angrier he gets, so he stays constantly angry at all times.
Helryx has an entire portion of the Order's funding set aside to replace the equipment that Tobduk breaks.
Trinuma
An extremely prolific agent who has rejected multiple offers of promotion. He has technopathic abilities.
Johmak
An Order assassin who can turn herself into a storm of glass-shards.
Jerbraz
Literally just canon Jerbraz but as a human and with a sniper-rifle instead of a sword.
Botar
A massive human/wolf hybrid, equipped with a Spatial Tether that lets him teleport directly to the Order's underground prison, The Pit.
Lost his memory after seemingly (but not actually) being killed in an explosion, and created a new identity.
Maxilos
The Pit's robotic guards. Basically the same as in canon, but with sci-fi weaponry instead of swords.
In the City of Silver timeline, they look more dieselpunk, have more grounded weaponry (by which I mean actual guns instead of lasers) and communicate via prerecorded clips rather than text-to-speech, but are otherwise the same.
"Terigold"
An alternate version of Teridax from a world where everyone's morality is reversed; his true form's exoskeleton is gold instead of black, and he can manipulate light rather than shadows. He can still shapeshift like his main-universe counterpart.
In his home-timeline, he's the leader of a resistance against the Spheran invasion.
His fake human name is "Daxter Terrence", which is coincidentally an inversion of main-timeline Teridax's fake human name.
Federation of Fear
Organised by the Order of Mata Nui to be an expendable taskforce fo dealing with extremely dangerous threats; literally just the Suicide Squad.
Unlike in canon they have more than 7 members, were active long before the "rescue Miserix" mission, and continue to be active afterwards.
Their most well-known missions (in the metanarrative) include the Miserix rescue, fighting an army of skeletons, and helping to defeat Marendar.
Brutaka
The Federation of Fear's handler.
Married to Axonn; even when Brutaka was mind-controlled by Teridax, Axonn still tried to save him, and they stayed together afterwards.
His civilian job is being a narrator for audiobooks. Because of this, he has to wear a voice filter during missions.
Vezon
Vezok's unemployed nepo-baby cousin, who holds a share in his shipping company.
After going near the Ignika at a museum exhibition that Vezok dragged him to, he gained superpowers (namely a hammerspace-like void behind his back, as well as the ability to conjure spherical energy projectiles) and immediately went mad with power, taking random magical artifacts (including a spear that can fuse things together, and a strange mask that appeared to flicker between realities). Vezok called the Inika's hotline, and the Inika and Piraka worked together to defeat Vezon. The Order of Mata Nui then captured Vezon, confiscated the stolen artifacts, and placed him in their underground supermax prison, The Pit, before eventually transferring him to the Federation of Fear.
In the G2 timeline, he's the mayor of Okoto City, who is unaware of (or maybe purposefully ignoring?) his cousin's criminal activities.
Spiriah
A former member of Teridax's rebellion, who ended up leaving after almost revealing their true identities by choosing a very... out-there disguise. He was then captured by the Order of Mata Nui and offered a place in the Federation of Fear, which he accepted, before dying during the mission to rescue Miserix.
When he arrived on Earth, he took the form of a towering bat-like humanoid.
His G2 counterpart is a towering bat-like humanoid, imprisoned in Antiderm's labs and experimented on by them.
Umarak
A human/Makuta hybrid, mostly resembling the former but with the latter's chitinous, digitigrade legs. He also has control over shadows.
Channeled some of his power into a swarm of mechanical "shadow traps" that temporarily mind-control anyone who steps on them.
In the G2 timeline, he's Ekimu's evil counterpart and the herald of Makuta; much like how Takua can transform into Ekimu, Ahkmou can transform into Umarak.
XPlode
A heavily-armoured supervillain with the ability to generate and fire volatile keratine spines from his body.
Usually part of the Hero Factory's rogues gallery, XPlode was willingly recruited into the Federation of Fear after being captured by the Order of Mata Nui.
The Chronicler's Company
Takua's friends, and fellow Metru University alumni.
The name is what their (legally-distinct equivalent of) DnD characters are collectively called (Takua's character is the Chronicler class).
In the G2 timeline, they are basically the same, but in high school.
Kapura
Studied classical literature.
He can seemingly teleport, though it is unknown if this is a superpower.
Macku
Studied geography.
In a relationship with Hewkii, and currently lives with him in Voya City.
Taipu
Studied geography.
Often mistaken for Hafu, who has a similar fashion sense and hairstyle, but otherwise looks completely different.
Tamaru
Studied marine biology.
The Inika enlisted her help to identify Nocturn's species. The results were inconclusive.
Hafu
Studied fine art.
Often mistaken for Taipu, who has a similar fashion sense and hairstyle, but otherwise looks completely different.
Kopeke
Studied art history.
Canonically nonverbal.
The Inika Fanclub
Some high school (and like two university) students who run an Inika fanclub.
Garan
The club's founder.
Managed to figure out that Teridax isn't what he appears to be.
Balta
The club's resident inventor.
On Earth B, he owns a shop.
Dalu
Used to be very cheerful and friendly, until her father (who was a detective) went missing while he was looking into potential criminal activity in Vezok's shipping company.
Piruk
Due to a rare condition, his fingers end with sharp "talons" made of bone. He is extremely worried that he might hurt someone with them.
Has a pet dog.
Velika
A Spheran scientist who transferred his mind into an artificially-grown human body to spy on humanity completely normal student who just happens to be very interested in photography.
In the future, he becomes a supervillain who uses his access to advanced Spheran technology in order to (repeatedly) attempt to take over the world.
Kazi
The oldest of the group.
Studying philosophy at Voya University.
Dekar Jr.
The son of an Order of Mata Nui operative.
In the future he joins the Order, taking Brutaka's place as the Federation of Fear's handler.
Defilak
Dekar's brother.
Sarda
Idris's boyfriend.
Idris
Sarda's girlfriend.
Silver
Based on the unnamed silver Toa from the DS and GBA versions of Bionicle Heroes (though mostly the former).
They can temporarily copy the abilities of any superbeing they touch.
Their name is, in fact, Silver.
Voriki
Silver's younger brother.
Silver's parents asked them to bring Voriki along to the club's meetings. Like them, Voriki also has superpowers (namely energy absorption), but he hasn't learned how to use them yet.
He doesn't actually care about the Inika, but instead is a fan of the Mata, and wants to become a hero like them. He sometimes gets distracted in class, daydreaming about becoming the seventh eighth member of the team.
In the future, Voriki becomes an actual superhero; he is part of a "next generation" superhero team that are to the Inika what the Inika are to the Mata.
Magnans
An alien species whose homeworld was destroyed by the Skrall Empire.
Their existence hasn't been made public, as that could draw attention to their presence, leading the Skrall to find them and attack Earth.
The Skrall
An alien empire that attacked and destroyed Spherus Magna.
They eventually attacked Earth after detecting the signals from the Order's communications with the Spherans, and tried using a vast orbital cannon to destroy the planet. Matoro ended up using the Ignika to overload the cannon, destroying the Skrall mothership while also sacrificing himself.
The Makuta
Insectoid aliens from the planet Destral.
They have natural shapeshifting abilities, and the power to control shadows. The shapeshifting is mostly used to gain extra limbs to carry more things or eyes that can be used to see in the dark, and consistently maintaining a singular form requires a large amount of practise and concentration, and might require having to adjust to the imitated species' anatomy depending on how different it is from that of a Makuta (for example, a Makuta that's shapeshifted into a human would need to adapt to having plantigrade legs and five fingers). They can also transform into things that don't exist.
In the Invasion timeline, they have control over light instead of shadows.
They don't exist in the G2 timeline; all Makuta characters are humans, with a few exceptions (namely Spiriah).
Unafilliated individuals
Mata Nui
An ancient warrior who only appears when the entire world is in imminent danger.
Still has his canon name.
Doesn't exist in the G2 timeline.
Mayor Dume
The mayor of Metru City.
He was active as a non-superpowered hero in the 1940s (as part of a larger team), and was one of the people who inspired Helryx to found the Order of Mata Nui.
In the G2 timeline, he was a tech-based hero that used a suit of dieselpunk power-armour that he updated over the years, adding computers and more advanced technology. While Dume kept doing his superhero thing for far longer than his main timeline counterpart, he eventually found out that he had a disease that gave him only a month to live, so he uploaded his mind into the armour's systems and became a new hero called Exo.
Zaria
A teacher at Orde's school for young superheroes; when the school was attacked by Teridax's underlings, Zaria was one of the only survivors, and now seeks revenge.
He is an occasional ally of Chiara.
In the G2 timeline, he's the headmaster of the school, which is still active.
Chiara
An antihero from the slums of Voya City.
Basically Batman, but more morally-grey and anti-authority, and with electricity-based powers.
Orde
One of Helryx's childhood friends, and the former headmaster of a school for young superheroes; the school was attacked by Teridax's underlings while Orde was protecting a nearby town from the Dark Hunters.
Keetongu
A cryptid said to wander the woods near the outskirts of Metru City.
Artakha
The god of forges, crafting and creation.
Lives in his temple on the top of an extremely tall mountain, near where the culture that worshipped him lived.
On Earth B, he's "retired" from godhood and now lives in a seaside town in southwest England, where he makes furniture.
Karzahni
Artakha's brother, and the god of death, chaos, and - strangely - medicine.
Has since "retired" from godhood, and now lives in Voya City's most run-down area, working as a back-alley surgeon who mostly works on criminals, including members of the Barraki's gangs.
On Earth B, he's still a god, living in a temple at the bottom of a vast chasm.
Marendar
An interdimensional being that can drain the life-energy of superbeings in order to become more powerful, leaving them either dead or powerless.
One of the Federation of Fear's "main" missions (from the perspective of the metanarrative) is helping to defeat Marendar.

McKiwi's Fic Recs
(Gen/Platonic/Minor) PART 1/2
These are all completed. Some are multi chapter. Most have very little smut, if any at all, so if you like that kind of stuff, youâre on your own. AUs are included. If I felt the characterizations were too off, itâs not here. If grammar was unacceptable, itâs not on this list. All of these have Stephen as a main character. These are organized by word count and genre. I've tried to include a little bit of (almost) everything. If you have any suggestions, feel free to reblog with those.

REC LIST UNDER CUT
"A Letter To The Universe" by Laily: [414 words / Angst] Warning: Contains spoilers for the new Doctor Strange movie Pain is an old friend, but this new pain is too much for Doctor Stephen Strange. Luckily, he is not alone.
"Are You Happy, Stephen?" by Tricktress: [883 words / Angst] From the moment he felt a foreign magic curl around his neck, Stephen knew something had gone horribly, horribly wrong. He didnât have any time to protect himself from the inky purple magic. He only thrashed as it entered his body and tried to take control. Strange Tales of Halloween Prompt Month Day 13: Silent
âNow I Fallâ by amethyst-noir: [944 words / Angst] "I have to go now. I can hear Tony and Donna calling me." (Stephen's fragile hold on sanity snaps for good and it falls to Wong to make sure that he's safe and can't hurt himself or others.)
"Lady Death and the Man Who Wouldn't Die" by Tricktress: [1296 words / Canon Divergence] It was using the darkhold that was truly the final straw. He had beenâŠnoticed for all of the nonsensical stunts he had pulled off in his time as a sorcerer. From bargaining with his life in a time loop with Dormammu to pulling off the chess match of a millenia with the subtle positioning of Tony Stark and giving up the time stone. Things were starting to take notice⊠Strange Tales of Halloween 2022 Prompt Month Prompt 30: Immortal
"Bargain" by VortaBurnish: [1321 words / Angst] Dormammu takes Stephen Strange apart.
"Why Did You Save Me?" by kittyhazelnut: [1406 words / Canon Divergence] âI opened the Darkhold, and I have to be the one to close it.â âWe can close it together.â
"With Every Query" by Webtrinstic: [1505 words / Hurt/Comfort] There are some questions that don't have answers. And there are some answers even the great Stephen Strange can't fully comprehend. Like why America cares about him.
"It's Their Fate" by atlalok143_arrowflash3: [1528 words / Hurt/Comfort] Dr. Strange is explaining to Peter the Macchina di Kadavus and how they need to send these multiverse Spider-Man villains home, no matter the consequences. And suddenly, Peter realizes that this isn't the first time Strange has sacrificed someone for the supposed greater good. Takes place during Spider-Man: No Way Home, an alternative and much needed conversation between Peter and Dr. Strange about Strange sacrificing Tony to defeat Thanos during Endgame.
"Harbringer of Doom" by Sinvulkt: [1664 words / Angst] One day, Stephen Strange is hit with a spell. Itâs a strange one. At first, it doesnât seem to do anything, he shrugs it off but remains vary. The next day, Stephen wakes up and immediately realises something is off, and not because of the chaos his room turned into. Somehow, he changed overnight. Looking into the mirror he seesâŠ
"We'll Never Be Apart" by Webtrinsic: [1700 words / Hurt/Comfort] Stephen makes peace with the fact that America is essentially his kid. With that in mind, he promises to protect her with everything he's got.
"Aftermath" by ElenaCee: [1710 words / Fluff] Wong puts Stephen to bed.
"i'll kidnap all the stars (and i will keep them in your eyes)" by unusannus: [1721 words / Hurt/Comfort)] But as much as America was doing great at adjusting to this new life of hers, Strange knew she still had one obstacle to get through. Something kids her age needed no matter what. An education. (or: even super powered kids need to go to school)
"stolen sun at its heart" by basketcase_y: [2129 words / Canon Divergence] It was impossible to truly, completely, destroy the Infinity Stones without destroying the universe. Stark had understood this, in his last moments. He wasnât lauded as a genius for nothing, after all. Strange did not understand, at first. He was thus unprepared for what came after.
"Phantom" by WinterAlice: [2181 words / Hurt/Comfort] Stephen learns Peter is being bullied at school. Since the official channels May and Tony have tried to take to deal with the issue have all failed he decides to try some of his own methods.
"Induction" by etienneofthewestwind: [2265 words / Canon Divergence] Stephen Strangeâs mind whirled as he numbly went through the script to salvage as many lives as possible. He needed to try something new, something that the Time Stone had not shown him...
"A Flicker of Hope" by Trickstress: [2272 words / Angst] Stephen Strange never makes it to Kamar-Taj and finds himself alone on Christmas Eve with a box of matches.
"Blame on me (Shame on you)" by heartyhiroshi: [2294 words / Angst] Mordo appears weeks after the final battle and appeals to Stephen for help. He shows him the consequences of their actions, but Stephen should have known better to trust his former friend... Especially when he's at his worst, wallowing in guilt and doubt. (Silence is unnerving and unforgiving)
"A Day of Firsts" by NewSoul: [2754 words / Fluff] Since the Cloak of Levitation is the best character in the the film, I figured she should have a voice. I did make her a she because 1) sorry to disappoint but her relationship with Stephen in this fic is not meant to be taken in any romantic way (you will understand why when you see how she perceives him) and 2) I've got her in my head as this old Scottish mum that acts a bit like a cross between Molly Weasley and Maggie Smith. So without stealing her thunder anymore than I already have to, ladies and gents, The Cloak of Levitation!
"Band-Aids and Butterflies" by MaeBlossom: [2830 words / Angst] Glimpses into Stephen Strange's Life. From childhood, to Sorcerer Supreme.
"Except For You, You Can Stay" by Webtrinsic: [2914 words / Hurt/Comfort] Stephen confronts the being Nightmare and realizes America's presence in his life has brought forth a whole new set of fears for him to face.
"the Inherent Urge to Protect" by Ko_te: [2935 words / Hurt/Comfort] !!! Spoilers for Multiverse of Madness !!! Stephen Strange had a feeling about America Chavez. He couldn't place it.
"Third Time's The Charm" by Soulless_Robot: [3073 words / Canon Divergence] âDonât make me repeat myself. Put the artifact down, you have no idea what youâre dealing with.â The man in the all white suit glances back at the jar in his hands and then up at him, âI canât do that chap. Now, why donât you forget you saw me, and Iâll slip out and we can all go back to having a nice quiet night. Doesnât that sound lovely?â The man is backing away from him slowly and edging closer to the warehouse door and then he takes off in a full sprint. Stephen sighs, why did bad guys always do this? He was a master of the mystic arts with generations of magical expertise at his fingertips but somehow, they always think they can run. Or Stephen Strange was just trying to find an artifact that was causing jackal attacks across New York but somehow manages to get in way over his head.
"Time After Time" by TheObsidianSun12: [3155 words / Angst] In order to find the best way to defeat Thanos, Doctor Strange utilizes the time stone to place a curse on himself: whenever he dies, he will be sent back in time to the moment he cast the spell. He expected it to take five, maybe six attempts, to learn Thanosâs weaknesses and take him out before he could do irreparable harm to the universe. Suffice to say, fourteen million, six hundred and five universes later, he was wrong.
"Blank Space" rhodopsin: [3223 words / Hurt/Comfort] Itâs funny, really. This very odd and yet very present feeling had accompanied him for a couple of days by now, and it had arisen on the day the multiverse had almost broken apart. Nothing indicated that something had gone terribly wrong on that day â the multiverse was saved, and Stephen had returned from the battle with only a couple of scratches. Nothing quite out of the ordinary, not really. So why did he constantly feel like he was missing something very important? Or:Â Stephen knows that he forgot something of great importance and he slowly starts to realize that it is the entire existence of Peter Parker.
"In Another Life" by Webtrinsic: [3294 words / Hurt/Comfort] America meets plenty of versions of Stephen Strange across the multiverse, but there is only one she calls dad.
"talk to me, tell me i am fine" by scvrus: [3629 words / Angst] When the Kamar-Taj got attacked by another multiversal being left from Wandaâs dream walking, America thought theyâd put on a fight and it would be over, just like that. After all, the worst that could happen already happened and it was all in the past, right? But then she turned around and saw Stephen lay on the ground, his hand clutching a dark red spot on his abdomen. And so America screamed.
âOnly Human After Allâ by jusst_you_wait: [3650 words / Found Family] Prompt: "Nobody's seen you in days" Peter shows up on Stephen's doorstep looking for help. Instead he gets a new parental figure.
"The Hands Dealt" by rhodopsin: [3726 words / Hurt/Comfort] âI, uh⊠I maybe got fired and I donât really have enough money right now to pay the rent for my apartment this month, or next month for that matter, and I really donât know where else to go, so I, uh...â Stephen paused. âYou maybe got fired?â Or: Stephen Strange is the only one who remembers Peter Parker. So when Peter loses his job and can't afford his apartment anymore, he let's the kid live in the New York Sanctum for a while.
"Lost within 14,000,605 Timelines." by HazyErrors: [3765 words / Angst] When Stephen looked into possibilities of the future, he saw way more than he bargained for, He will not make the same mistake twice. {Read tags for your own safety!}
"When the World Ends" by ZenyZootSuit: [4140 words / Character Study] You say the oceanâs rising? Like I give a shit. You say the whole worldâs ending? My friend, it already did. Or, the musings of Dr. Stephen Strange as he slowly comes to terms with his situation in the aftermath of...everything.
"between the heavens and the embers" by DarkKitty1208: [4161 words / Angst] With a mere stone in his grasp, Stephen Strange played God and stood between the choice of life and death.
"The Dust Settled Around Us" by Aelaer: [4174 words / Character Study] After America returned Christine Palmer of the alternate Earth to her home, Stephen Strange stepped foot again in Kamar-Taj for the first time since he had entered the multiverse. The smell of electricity and burnt metal assaulted his mind first, and his optical nerves caught up with what primal senses were screaming at him. After the main events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Kamar-Taj begins to rebuild, and Stephen reflects upon everything that had happened. Featuring Conversations That Should Have Been In the Movie with America and Wong.
"Febuwhump Day 19: 'you deserve this'" by Yesimevil: [4517 words / Hurt/Comfort] Tony Stark was just one manâan irritating, arrogant, caring man, who didnât deserve what the universe threw his way but still met it with grace. In the grand scheme of all things, his sacrifice would mean more than his survival. Still, Stephen internally raged against the future he had set in motion. ---- Stephen manages to save Tony Stark. There's only one problem--the Starks refuse to stop thanking him.
"Family is Forever" by UnicornOfTheSun: [4535 words / Found Family] For years, America didn't have a stable home. And then she fell headfirst into earth 616. Stephen Strange was never brave enough to admit he cared. And then America stumbled into his life. Or America and Stephen grow closer and learn to lean on each other.
"A Room of Our Own" by shyday: [4568 words / Hurt/Comfort] 'You canât just come in my bedroom.' 'Then we remember things very differently,' he hears himself say.
"Febuwhump Day 6: secrets revealed" by Yesimevil: [4732 words / Hurt/Comfort] âIâm so sorry, sir!â a voice said. âAre you okay?â A hand was shoved in Stephenâs line of vision and he begrudgingly took it and hauled himself up, ready to give the stranger a piece of his mind. The words died in his mouth when he locked eyes with the kid. He was a scrawny thing, with a flannel that was a bit too big and eyes that were a bit too sad, and a bruise on his cheekbone that wasnât quite faded. âItâs fine,â Stephen found himself saying instead as he dusted himself off. âJust watch where youâre going.â The younger man nodded. He almost looked like he was about to be sick. ---- After the events of No Way Home, Stephen keeps running into a kid with sad eyes who seems familiar... the only problem is he can't place where he's seen him before, which is almost as strange as the massive headaches the interactions leave him with.
"Fate Won't Compromise" by Aelear: [5011 words / Canon Divergence] In the summer of 1995, The Ancient One felt a ripple in the fabric of reality.

Read this after watching episode 6 of s2, while we wait for season 3
A short fic I came up with just now sry in advance:
[The angels haven't left the bookshop yet, they are discussing the new arch angel position]
Crowley: Why not Raphael? Hm?
Others, concerned.
Crowley: I'm pretty sure he was in the 4 main archangels group. So obviously, he should be one of the followings wouldn't he?
Michael: Well, um⊠I don't owe an answer to a demon!
Aziraphale: He's the aid of humans. He must be down on Earth to help them. All the time.
Crowley, questioningly raising his eyebrows: ⊠Where exactly?
Aziraphale: Well, it's quite a big planet, so-
Crowley: Where, exactly, did you hear that?
Aziraphale: Oh, well, um. It's true, it's how everybody knows it in Heaven!
Crowley, looking back at Michael, his temper raising by the bit: Youu! Lied! To everyone just to not have problems in the office?! Is that it?! Was my disappearance so outragous that you tried to replace me with a lie?!
Aziraphale: Crowley, what are you-
Crowley: You're the ones, that made my fall be worthless! And to top it off, you're trying to get my only friend- the only being I can ever exist with, to be the next archangel! A principality! Archangels are made! Not, promoted!
Aziraphale's eyes shoot up, sensing something's bad.
Crowley: You know that, no, you think that, if he's up there I can't get in there, but I swear to someone's name, if you try to get rid of him in any nasty way, I will bring Hell back into Heaven!
Aziraphale: Crowley-âŠ
Michael: A threat from a demon that betrayed Hell, how⊠threatening.
Crowley, bursting into flames: Don't test me or I will kill you right here and now!-
Aziraphale, stepping between them: Crowley, stop! It's alright, IâŠ
Azirpahale turning to the angels: I just need a bit of a time, we'll continue this, later.
Michael: So be it.
The angels leave.
Aziraphale, shaking from shock: So, you⊠you've beenâŠ
Crowley: Yes⊠sorry I haven't introduced myself before, I just knew, you would start with all that "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were an archangel" bullshit⊠Angel!
Aziraphale, standing back from being respectful: S-âŠsorry.
Crowley: This is what I've been trying to tell you! It doesn't matter how far you're up on the hierarchy, it's shit! You can't change anything, you follow orders, and that's it. You only think that you can change things because you're a principality.
Aziraphale: But, that's why! I see things, you possibly, couldn't see! I can make it a better place!
Crowley: Angel, it's a military base! Are you listening to yourself? Nobody has ever been good to you before there! Nor to me, except⊠you.
Aziraphale: That's why I have hope. Muriel here even-
Crowley: Angel, you won't be on top of the hierarchy. You will be accompanied by other archangels, with the same powers you have. No matter what powers you get, they can still fire you, like they fired Gabriel.
Aziraphale: They did what?
Crowley: In⊠the files. I haven't mentioned that, yet have I?
Aziraphale, looking awfully sad: But- âŠ
Crowley, giving out a sigh: âŠListen angel, I give you, what they will never give you. Free will. You might not have noticed it, but I always had given that to you. So now, I let you decide it for yourself. You can stay here with me, for the rest of our lives, somewhere, idk, maybe another place, in a cottage, southdown⊠or-
Aziraphale: But we are eternal beings, the rest of our life isn't just a few millenias! Or even less, what if Earh gets destroyed?! And all the stars along with it, that you have created?! I just want you to have a safe place⊠with me!
Crowley, giving out another but sadder sigh: If⊠you want to give it a try, I can't stop you, can I? But don't forget, I'm a demon, if I have a plan to save you⊠you know they will all fail⊠if I'm only doing this alone.
Aziraphale: And, I'm sure you know⊠if mine was to fall⊠I'd like you to catch.
Aziraphale tip-toing, then going outside of the bookshop, leaving the demon Crowley alone, but not for ever.
Crowley: Wat⊠Fall? Angel?!
He went outside after him but he was already gone.
Crowley, muttering to himself: I⊠I don't want you to fall⊠I want you to stay you.

It perfectly answer my questions âșïž also for the fics ideas I don't know how far with AU you want to go with, but hear me out.
For Mawis I have two ideas like a Greek god AU with Lewis being Persephone and Max Hades. But I'm talking pre ancient Greece Persephone the one who was so feared we don't even know if Persephone is her real name. And I'm basing myself on this video of overly sarcastic production : https://youtu.be/Ac5ksZTvZN8?si=_08oj2oKvWlTZvTQ
My idea would be that Max/Hades was wondering what it was like on earth, especially since Lewis/Persephone wanted to come back to it so badly. And so after more than two millenia of staying in the underworld ruling it, he decided to let the judges of the underworld rule it for a while.
And so Hades disguise himself as a simple human. Powers being caged so he won't use them accidentally. What he finds out when he comes to the surface is a really strange and different world. So he ask a woman for an explanation and at first she looks at him strangely buy in a way she trust him and start speeling everything to him. That plus him actually doing a deep dive into her memory to get the most important informations.
So Hades looks at this world and if he can admit that some things in it are worth it other absolutely not. He was wondering when he got attacked by some random dudes. Hades wasn't aware that his choice of clothing would make him an easy target.
He is held down and getting the beating of his life when suddenly Lewis/Persephone appears. He has a dopey smile seeing his wife and in the next second those humans are memories.
And you can go with it for something else. I just want Protective Persephone/Lewis over Hades/Max. And then Lewis showing Max what he missed and them enjoying a little vacation in Europe. (Also I kinda like bottom Lewis đ
just a preference thing).
Now onto the second idea, a royalty AU, with Lewis being the king and Max the fallen prince of the defeated kingdom. And it's not really developed in my mind so feel free to explore the idea even for a little drabble or something. I hate my writing style in English so this is why I'll probably won't write it.
The husbands đ : The classical vampire/werewolf one, with Christian being the vampire and Toto the werewolf. Because why not?
There's also the one where Toto is death itself and saves Christian from his time but by doing so, trap Christian in an eternal loop. The only way to escape it is either becoming Death compagnon (whatever that can mean) or find a way to die that even death can't prevent.
And finally, the shifter AU, the one where they can shift into a wolf and a fox. I kinda mixed in my head this AU with Toto as death AU. Toto taki'g revenge on the whole grid because they killed Lewis. And as his wrath was hitting them Christian made it. Then Toto lost control and shifts into his wolf form before launching toward Christian set on killing him. Christian afraid shift incontrolably into his fox form and Toto stops dead in his track. He wants to kill Christian but if he's a shifter like Toto then he is in danger because Bono and James are coming he can feel it and they don't know better than to kill any shifters on site. Because shifters are dangerous. Toto himself hides from them. So he let Christian go with the promise that next time they saw each other he will kill him. And Christian says he will do the same as now Max is also dead.
Probably not the best ideas here but we'll at least I hope it can make you laugh đ
OMG, so many ideas! I love it! Itâs straight up fantasy, which I really like. Itâs my favourite genre to read! Maybe I should write it more.
I mean, I love Greek God AUs, especially when they feature Hades/Persephone as main characters, so Iâll definitely take a closer look at that one and see what I can do! And OOF Royalty AUs are awesome, I will probably do something with that one as well at some point! And the Death personified oneâŠI LOVE IT! And a Dark Romance with a werewolf and a vampire? Good lord, I so wanna write that! Or read it, if someoneâs cracked the code already.
Iâm not sure Iâm great at (shape)shift AUs but I do love the idea. Especially when it has (loss of) control as a theme. So who knows, perhaps in the future.
TYSM for sharing your ideas with me and if I get to writing any of them, Iâll dedicate them to you, because I hadnât even thought of writing more Fantasy(ish) AUs with Mawis & the Husbands :))
And if you ever have any more ideas or just want to discuss, feel free to share or ask :)
And of course itâs also always free to ask writing-related Qs or anything about any fic, bc Iâd love to talk more with yâall about just about anythingđ

{the main hall is loud with boisterous music and the sound of party goers chatter and laughter description of Lillian sitting on the throne next to her father the king her head adorned in a golden crown with emeralds and a black and green dress her adopted siblings sit in slightly smaller chairs next to her explain either here or later that this is based on rank of how close their are to being primary heir}
The boisterous music came to a slowing halt as the king of [[placeholder]] rose from his seat and faced the congregation of people that stood in his gaze âmy people of [[placeholder]] I throw my hopes upon you that you have been enjoying yourselves most thoroughly but I am more than ecstatic to tell you that the reason you are here, the moment that we have all been patiently waiting for is upon usâ his voice boomed through the Great hall âthe drawing of names is upon us, for the future of this kingdom, for the future of our people.âÂ
he reached his hand out and made a quick gesture of his hand to signal the servants to to draw closer unto him the the wide oak doors swung open a beautiful but chaotic medley of trumpets echoed off the hallowed hall, the hall that had seen this tradition ring through for a millenia had seen Kings and Queens of great stature of phenomenal promise, rise or fall to the challenge before them, Lillian had no plan of befaling to the hand of her victim to be. Her darkened black eyes with flecks of gold looked to her father as the crowd dispersed before the small group of people carrying upon their shoulders, her future, this kingdomâs future as her father had so eloquently put it her eyes never faltered off of him waiting for the smallest hint of his approval to move forward and draw the name, the name that shall decide her fate.
Lillian couldâve sworn that time had sunken itâs cold talons into her mind and plagued her with vision of it slowly passing by her even though in her mindâs eye she knew it had been going much faster than how it felt, she watched as her father slowly turned his head just the slightest to tell her wordlessly that the day that she has tirelessly been training for since the day she had escaped the womb for the day to prove to her people she is more than capable of taking care of them that she can be cold and calculating to those that defy her that she will rise to the ranks of her ancestors before her, she slowly raised her self out of her seat, she gave the respected curtsy to her father and her people she stepped towards the crystal bowl its carving of the mythical polar bear that has seen her ancestors through battle for many a generation its legacy carved into the wood that builds the very bones of this castle its claws on the crystal bowl reaching up towards the mouth of the bowl its meaning deeply etched into the mythology of their people itâs guidance and wisdom but also its ferocity towards those who would wish harm it eased her soul as she reached in and gently pinched the silken soft parchment paper between her fingers.
âElizabeth the third ,house of black bearâ Lillian announced her voice sure and steady ânow my target has a name to it,finallyâ she muttered under her breath as she watched and waited for her siblings to draw their enemies from the crystal glass.
As the last name rang out Lillian stood to her feet she walked to her father and pardoned herself from the party as she made her way to the library with the intent of learning everything she could possibly learn of the lineage of the house of black bear she would know Elizabeth's family and ancestry better than Elizabeth herself, she must prepare her mind along with her body, no matter what it takes the years of pain, the scars that are etched into her ivory skin, she wore them with pride her favorite being the scar that goes from the tip of her right eyebrow down her nose into her left cheek a gift from her mother when they used to spar, it was the only gift her mother ever gave her before her untimely death, her mother wasn't keen on physical affection she believed it would make lillian weak so she showed her love through preparing her for this tradition she trained lillian so she could take her rightful place on the throne the pain the beatings being locked in the dungeon for failing all of it was out of love lillian would tell herself and she would be damned to waste those years of effort from her mother on some privledged princess who has never had to scream for her place let alone fight tooth and nail, body and soul for a mere chance of living up to her mothers expectations her parents expectations her peoples expectations. âI will find this Elizabeth and wrench her soul from her body. I will watch the lights in her eyes cascade down into Hades' realm, even if it takes my soul with it.â
Chapter 2
The dagger hit the door with a thump âif you have a wish of untimely mortality then please pursue further into my chambers'' lillian said from the floor surrounded by dusty scrolls and piles of books that haven't been touched in ages let alone read âmy apologies madam but it is a message from the king..your fatherâ lillianâs handmaiden said calmly she was used to lillianâs fits of rage at this point, lillianâs head snapped back her eyes wide in surprise âmy apologies miriam I thought you to be a bumbling party goer who though it wise to take their sweetheart of the night into my chambersâ miriam dismissed her apology with a flap of her hand as she turned and yanked the decorated dagger from itâs resting place in the structure of the doorway âno apologies needed your highness I would have knocked upon your door before entrance but as iâm sure my lady can see it was of great importance, i forget myself in my old age at timesâ miriam said with a laugh. âYou are not too old of age, Miriam, you still be the freshest of flowers in this kingdom whether it be your looks, your countenance or purely your statureâ lillian laughed as she pulled herself off the floor âfor what old maid would put up with me at my times of childish behaviors? None I say to you but a fairly young lady with eyes full of a gleam of hope, well then they might surely deal unto the hand they have been given no?â Lillian again laughed, reaching out to Miriam to receive the letter.
Miriam gently handed it to Lillian along with Lillianâs dagger. Lillian quietly pocketed the dagger as she opened the letter; it contained two letters in the one envelope.
âDear Lillian I pray to those before us that this letter finds you well, the moment has arrived, the family of black bear have planned a masquerade, although it is in the rules to not to know your targetâs face but nevertheless Iâm more than confident in your abilities best of luckâ
This message was signed off from Lilian's younger sister, the only one too young to partake in this tradition. It warmed lillian's heart to know that her abilities have been acknowledged by her beloved sister, the second letter merely stated the time and place of the ball and a âlovingâ message from her father a simple âbest of luck, my childâ lillian gently placed the letters on her nightstand that stands proudly next to her bed
Chapter 3
Lillian bites down on her tongue as her corset is tied up from behind the hilt of her concealed dagger digging into her ribcage but she wouldn't dare utter a sound of discomfort, she has been taught from a young age that weakness is almost more frowned upon than treason, as the maids finished up tidying her up for the ball they bowed and retreated out of her chambers, before the door could fully close lillian headed towards her cabinet and pulled out a small vial full of an inky red almost black liquid she threads a string through the small clasp at the top of the crystal vial and slips it over her head gently before it can take its resting place in her bosom she gently kisses it âwatch over me mother, guide my hand, may your watchful eyes bring honor to our family and to our peopleâ Lillian gently whispers and if someone could hear her they might have also heard that her breath gently caught as she gently almost lovingly placed it under the top of her dark red dress. Lillian sat in front of a gem encrusted mirror as she gently applied a dark red liquid to her lips she rubbed her lips together a couple times before taking a cloth nearby and dabbing the extra liquid off leaving a ruby tint to her thin heart shaped lips, she looked into the mirror her dark eyes were decorated with a dark red powder and her lashes given the illusion of looking longer with mascara her scar was, to her disapproval ,hidden with some kind of liquid specifically made to match her skin, if it weren't for the borderline magic of her lady in waiting it would be apparent of the amount of nights lillian had gone without rest

PROLOGUE. MEMENTO VIVERE
âPlease do not send him away.â
Your vision blurred as you rested on your knees in front of the man, body folded into a bow, eyes squeezed shut to try to force the tears away. Around you, the few survivors that made up your group whispered and you knew they had nothing good to say--the last surviving member of the Eclipse Dynasty on her hands and knees in front of a lesser family, begging and pleading with them to listen to youâŠÂ
You hated that they still put so much weight on your blood, your should-be station. They called you âprincessâ, looked at you to lead them--but you were a princess of a kingdom that had long been destroyed, and you were only a child. The world around you crumbled and burned, poison seeped through the land and monsters roamed, starving and viscous, the sun never rose and you were meant to be salvation--the one to lead them from the darkness, to a livable world.Â
Sometimes you wished that they had never found you outside of the ruins of the Tungl palace after your father had passed, you wished that they had let the rifthounds tear you to pieces, you wished they had let the draugr devour you. You wondered if you would be better off dead than forced into a role that you knew you were not meant for.Â
Except the dead did not die in Khaenriâah, you reminded yourself, they rose again without mind, hungrier, savage. Was that really the fate you would have preferred?Â
You did not have time to linger on the question. Aina Alberich was tugging at your bicep, trying to force you to your feet. You did not rise, remaining in the bent over, kneeling position. Your hands shook against the ground, chest heaving.Â
âDo not send him away.â
A pair of boots shifted in front of you, and you flinched as a hand came atop of your shoulder.
âLook at me,â the heavy voice of Osmin Alberich met your ears, and you forced yourself to look up, unable to blink away the tears before they began spilling down your cheeks. âWe must take advantage of the passage to Teyvat. We cannot survive he-â
âI will go,â you interrupted loudly. âI will go to Teyvat.âÂ
âThat is not an option,â Osmin shook his head, brows furrowed deep. âWe do not know what Teyvat is like, how dangerous it will be-â
âSo instead you send your son?â you cried out, rising to your feet. âTo an unknown continent, with dangers weâve never seen before? For all we know, it could be worse than our current situation.â
âAnd such is the duty of the Alberich clan,â Osmin said firmly. You couldnât bring yourself to look him in the eye, unable to stand the cold and unmoving look in them. Instead, you dragged your gaze to Kaeya, who stood behind his father doing his best to stand strong but you could see the fear hidden beneath his eyes. âWeâve stood at the side of the Eclipse Dynasty for millenia, protecting and serving. Kaeya will travel to Teyvat and he will make sure the land is safe. Once he confirms it, we will follow.â
âWhy donât you go?â you accused, finally looking back at Osmin. âYou are an adult, a seasoned warrior, and yet-â
âSomeone needs to stay back and protect the group, to protect you,â Osmin didnât let you finish, and you faltered, eyes darting around to the rest of the group--the elderly, the crippled, a pregnant woman and her infant son. No one strong enough to defend against an attack from a pack of rifthounds or the draugr.Â
âPrincess,â Osmin knelt in front of you, voice quiet so no one else could overhear. âI do not want to send my son to a foreign land but I must put our people first. Always. He will return, and we will see brighter days. Have faith.â
You swallowed thickly, your fingers trembled as you nodded. You inhaled sharply, straightening your shoulders as you stepped around Osmin to stand in front of Kaeya.Â
âMay-â your voice cracked, you exhaled and closed your eyes, trying to calm yourself down. You rose your right hand and began again. âMay you be given the knowledge to follow your path, may you be granted the strength and courage to complete your journey, and may you find your way back home at the end of your travels.â
You fumbled to unpin the Inteyvat flower from your top, to signal the completion of the ancient rite of blessings that the Eclipse Dynasty bestowed on Khanerians traveling to foreign lands--a rite that had not been performed since before the Cataclysm. Your ears rung as you listened to Osmin and Aina murmur to each other in the background.Â
âI will bring him to the passage,â Aina said. âI would like to be the one to see him off, you stay with the princess and the others.â
Your fingers trembled as you pinned the flower onto Kaeyaâs shirt, clasping his hands in yours as you looked him in the eye.
âWe will meet again.â
---
Blood stained your hands and your face, your body shook like a leaf as you knelt at the corpse of Siriana, who had shielded you from the claws of a rifthound whelp that had appeared from behind the group.Â
It was supposed to be safe. You felt sick as you tried to hold pressure on the wound, even though you knew deep down that Sirana had passed. The path to the palace was supposed to be safe.Â
âPrincess!â you could hear Osmin roaring your name, fighting through the pack of hounds to get to you. âPrincess, move.â
You looked up, lips wobbly and vision teary as you tried to spot Osmin but you were only met with the slaughter that had taken place surrounding you--the bodies of your companions torn to pieces by the rifthound whelps, the gore strewn across the dark ground, the blood fertilizing the dead earth.Â
Everyone was dead.Â
A particularly loud shrieking noise came from behind you, a whoosh of air, and your eyes widened as you spun, coming face to face with an adult rifthound, electricity crackling around its body as it swiped at you. You couldnât move, from all of the training that Osmin had given you, now faced with an actual enemy you were frozen in place, waiting for death to fall upon you.
Except it didnât.Â
Someone slammed into you from behind, sending you careening toward the cold, damp ground. A sharp cry came from above you and you scrambled back to your feet, fear tugging at your chest as you tried to figure out what happened. âOsmin!â you cried out, watching the rifthound claw into his chest, a damning blow. âNo!âÂ
Osmin was undeterred, driving his sword through the rifthound and forcing it to portal away. He didnât hesitate as he reached for you, grabbing you by the arm and hauling you up, half-carrying, half-dragging you away from the remaining rifthounds and the massacre. Your gaze trained on the blood dripping down his chest, the armor that was shredded by the rifthound--the skin was already rotting around it.
âOsmin,â your voice came out as weak and wary, but the man didnât care, stopping behind a crumbled pillar, grabbing you by the face and forcing you to look at him.Â
âYou must run to the palace,â his voice was hoarse and harsh. âThe rifthounds will not follow you in.â
âOsmin, come with me,â you were trying to bite back your tears. âI donât want to be alone.â
âI will not survive,â the words were bitter to your ears, a scraping noise that made you want to cover your ears and run, âand itâs only a matter of time before the others return. You have to be long gone by then.â
âOsmin, Iâm not ready to be alone,â you gasped, the fear and panic finally starting to hit you. You had been alone once, for weeks after your fatherâs death--you couldnât survive that again. âOsmin, donât leave me.â
His grip on your face tightened, âYou must focus, princess,â he said sharply. âRun to the palace, take refuge there. Remember that you must live.âÂ
You wanted to shake your head, you wanted to refuse, but Osmin was pushing you away, in the distance, through a crumbled arch, you watched as Siranaâs arm jerked.
âGo,â he said, drawing his sword to turn around. When you didnât move, his voice sharpened, âGo!â
With a sob at your lips, you took off in the direction of the palace, shaking, refusing to look back as the sound of Osminâs blade clashing against the claws of another rifthound whelp met your ears. Your lungs burned against the cold air, like knives scraping your insides--each breath you took tore against your throat, your feet slammed against the ground so hard it sent shocks up your shins to your knees.
You could see the palace in the distance through your blurry gaze--the crumbling white and gold walls, the large silver arch.Â
You would make it, you realized, hope blooming in your chest. You would make it.
But even as the words drifted through your head, there was a strange whooshing noise from behind you. You turned on your heel, eyes wide as you spun around to figure out what had appeared behind you.
A rifthound?Â
You realized too late, you were too slow to bring your hands up to block the blow to your face, one of its claws coming down to catch your forehead, dragging down through your right eye to your cheekbone. You let out a terrible shriek, hands flying to your face, blood dripped through your fingers as you tried to scramble away. It burned, your head spun as the pain began to envelop you.
Your breath was sharp and ragged, nails digging into the dirt to try to push yourself up, Osminâs plea for you to live ringing through your head on repeat, but the skin that was slowly rotting around your eye was a death sentence. You couldnât bite back the next sob, the pain beginning to be too much for your body to handle. You pressed your hand to the right side of your face harder, trying to stop the bleeding but your hand only slipped against the skin. You looked up and you swore everything around you slowed as the rifthound twisted in the air to come back and finish you off.
You tried to move, you did, but your arms and legs were too weak, and the pain was clouding your head. You were unable to look away as it came down on you but right before its claws made contact with your neck, it was being sucked back into a vortex.
Your breath shuddered, your good eye widened. Osmin? Did he survive and come back to help? Hope bloomed in your chest as you tried to figure out who had sent the rifthound away. But it was not Osmin whom your eyes landed on.
A woman with long hair, a dark cloak and golden eyes that burned bright against the darkness of Khaenriâah. Her gaze was curious as she drew closer to you, standing above where you were crumpled on the ground.
âA child of the Eclipse dynasty, how fascinating,â she murmured, kneeling down in front of you to grab your chin and tilt your face up toward her, swiping away the hand you had covering your wounded eye. âI had been under the impression your entire bloodline had died out.â
âWho are you?â your voice shook as you asked her the question, trying to push away the pain that was exhausting all of your senses. The woman smiled at your question.
âYou may call me Gold.â
--
âThe Eclipse Dynasty was known for its proficiency in the Art of Khemia prior to the Cataclysm. When Khaenriâah fell, the form of alchemy was all but lost to the world.â
âI will do better,â your voice shook as you stared down at another failed experiment. You could feel the judging eyes of Gold bearing down on your back. You forced your shoulders not to shake as you took in another breath. âNext time will be a success.â
âOnce we teach you to harness the power of Khemia, I will take you from this place--bring you into the Order that will overthrow the rule of the gods that led to the fall of our home.â
âThere will be no next time.â
Goldâs words were harsh and cold, knives dragging down your bones. You froze, you couldnât bring yourself to turn around to look at her, even as you heard her packing up her tools.Â
âWhat?â
âDo not fail me.â
âThe Abyss Order has no room for failures, I told you this in the beginning. I gave you many chances, more than what I would give others.â
She spoke so matter of factly that your arguments dissolved--that even as you rose to shaky feet, you werenât sure you knew what to say. You caught sight of yourself in the broken mirror across from yourself, faltering at the scar cutting across your eye. It had healed for the most part, thanks to Goldâs alchemic abilities, but right above your eyelid and below your eye was stubborn, it wouldnât fade away, and your vision would never properly heal, Gold had claimed--haunted by blurs and shadows for the rest of your life.Â
You forced yourself to look away, turning to face Gold, whose back was already turned to you as she finished packing up her things.Â
âI will not fail next time,â you told her, voice pleading as she began to walk away from you. You chased after, tears pooling in your eyes. âI wonât fail, I was close, I felt it this time. Iâll get it, donât leave me.â
It was a lie, and you knew Gold knew it. This time had felt no different than the last time she had tried to teach simple Khemiac alchemy to you. It had been nearly a year since she had taken you under her wing and you had made no progress.
Could you blame her for giving up?
A sob bubbled in your chest, you tried to bite it back--Gold despised signs of weakness. You couldnât blame her. You had heard her talk about the Abyss Order and its grand plans, and she had been wasting time in the ruins of Khaenriâah trying to teach you the Art of Khemia when she should have been planning with the other executives of the Order.Â
But why canât she take you with her? Leaving you hereâŠ
âTake me with you,â you begged as she stepped outside of the ruins of the palace, âTake me with you.â
⊠it was a death sentence.Â
Gold turned on her heel, chin raised, expression hard and you froze where you were standing on the steps of the palace. You knew what her answer would be before she even spoke. Your heart sunk deep in your chest, your body trembled, you bit down on your bottom lip to stop it from wobbling.Â
âThere is no room for failures in the Abyss Order,â she repeated, âblood of the old dynasty or not. We do not have the resources to spare and even if we didâŠâ
Even if we did, failures were not welcomed.
âGive me one more chance,â your voice was little over a whisper, and Gold ignored you. You watched as a portal formed behind her, you watched as she stepped into it. Your panic rose, invading all of your senses as you chased after her. You stumbled down the steps, tripping over debris on the bottom one and falling to your hands and knees.Â
âDonât leave me here!â the desperate shrill of a cry escaped your lips just as the vortex shut behind her.
The following silence was cold and empty, a heavy realization weighed on your shoulders as the distant howls of rifthounds and savage cries of the draugr met your ear--you were alone.Â
--
You werenât sure how long you had remained in that spot wasting away. The rifthounds and draugr had begun to gather, stopped only by the old enchantments that protected the palace--as long as the blood of the Eclipse Dynasty remained, they would not be able to break through⊠but they were waiting, they knew you were on deathâs doorstep, they knew it was only a matter of time before the enchantments fell.
You were hungry, and you were cold, and you werenât sure why you were cold because the city around the palace was the only place in Khaenriâah that burned eternally--remnants of the old war that would not fade.
You could feel yourself dying, you could feel the way your body weakened with each passing second, the way ice spread through your veins and your skin felt numb to the touch. Osminâs words rang through your head: âremember you must live.â
But you didnât think youâd be able to rise to your feet even if you wanted to--and a part of you wondered what the point would even be. You were trapped in Khaenriâah, surrounded by rifthounds and draugr, you were out of food and you were out of willpower. You would die here, you were certain of it.
So lost in your thoughts, you didnât even hear the commotion coming from the courtyard, not until the head of a draugr rolled to the ground in front of you. You could barely bring yourself to look up, your head felt light at the movement, it strained your neck.
A man, you recognized in the distance, drawing closer to you. In your state of half delusion, you could almost imagine Osmin rushing toward you, cursing the gods for having let him be separated from you for so long, promising that he would take you from this wretched place to go find Kaeya.Â
Almost.Â
The man was not Osmin. Osmin was dead, likely a draugr prowling the ruins of Khaenriâah by this point unless another group of survivors had managed to stumble across him and put him out of his misery, free him from the husk heâd spend the rest of eternity as otherwise.Â
You didnât recognize the older man even as he kneeled in front of you, pulling his cloak off and laying it across your shoulders. You could not feel the warmth. He laid a hand against your cheek, lips twisting down.
âYouâre freezing,â he murmured, eyes searching your face momentarily before recognition swept through his face, you couldnât gather the strength to respond. âYou are-â
He cut himself off, swallowing as he let his head drop into a bow. âPrincess,â he murmured, and you swore that if you could cry, you would have--you couldnât stand the cursed title and all of the misfortune it had brought you. âIâll take you somewhere safe.â
He didnât wait for a response, scooping you into his arms as he rose to his feet. Your head rested against his bicep as you looked up at him. His gaze drifted around the ruins of the palace in a way that was nothing short of longing, as if he were reminiscing old memories.
âWho are you?â your voice was weak and scratchy, and you wondered if he hadnât heard you because he didnât acknowledge your words. After a few moments, he let his eyes fall back down to you, and your eyes widened as you recognized the diamond-shaped pupil of his left eye.Â
âPierro. I go by Pierro.â

summary: the holidays bring your large family of eternals over to celebrate. when they walk into your home and see photo after photo of you and druig, they realize something that has been under their noses for millenia
warnings: sweet sweet puppy love n lovey dovey druig
wc: 1k
Christmas wasnât a holiday that Eternals celebrated, in fact, you werenât sure if there were any that they did. Nevertheless, for the sake of old times and catching up on how eternal life was, you were all going to celebrate this year. It had been decided that you would be throwing the event, as it was known that you were the best event planner there ever had been.
The stone cottage you owned in the French countryside was the perfect venue. The interior was cozy, the walls plastered in photos and paintings, the floor with mismatched carpets and rugs. There was a small kitchen that led into the living room, warmed by a brick fireplace. The tree was decorated with an assortment of tinsel and ornaments that glittered from the flames.
âDruig!â You call, hoping to reach your husband on the modest second floor. The mug you held in your hands was filled with your favorite: hot chocolate. You double and triple check the food in the oven and that the cookies had been set out. The fireplace was cracking loudly, the ambiance just right. Eventually, you hear the rhythm of footsteps down the staircase, indicating that your husband was about to come rob you of your sweet drink.
âYes, my darling?â He approaches you from behind, sneaking a kiss onto your temple, âOoh, is that hot chocolate?â
You roll your eyes playfully, but you donât resist when his arm reaches around yours and removes the mug from your hand. âYouâd better plan on making me more, you thief.â
Druig slips his arm around your waist as he sips on the drink. He pulls your body against his and moves gently with the old Sinatra record playing from the living room. The man gives you a puppy-eyed look, âOh but of course, my darling wife.â
You lean your head back and rest it on his with closed eyes, âI made your favorites.â
Your voice is nearly a whisper, but an excited hum escapes him. Gently, he takes your hand and twirls you much like he had in the countless dances youâd shared before. âOh, how I love you, Y/N.â
He traps you between the counter and his body, peppering your face with kisses remnant of the hot chocolate that was once yours. Your hand finds its way to his low back, fingertips grazing over the knit sweater.
The harsh knock on the door startles you both. This is followed by a troubled Kingo shouting, âLet us in! Itâs freezing!â
âOops!â You giggle. Druig sneaks in one more kiss before letting you shuffle towards the door. You swing the door open, greeting everyone. A swift blur lets you know that Makkari has shot right past you and straight towards the fireplace. Snowflakes flurry in the air after her.
âCome on in guys! Welcome!â You squeak, âPlease leave your shoes right by the doorâ
âI hope you heard that Makkari!â Kingo can hardly finish his sentence before there is another brief flash and a pair of boots wobble to a stop on the wooded floor. They file in one by one after the movie star, some shivering more than others.
âThere are blankets on the couches and next to the tree,â You tell them in between greetings, âAnd there is cocoa on the stove.â
You shut the door securely after they all enter, adjusting so that all their shoes are against the wall with your foot.
âOh, youâre already here?â You hear from the other room. It was Kingo asking the question.
Knowing Druig, heâs probably responded by momentarily raising his brows or with a curt nod.
âDude, look at these,â Sprite drags Kingo and Ikaris to the wall where all your pictures are hung.
âWhat theâŠâ Kingo mutters in disbelief, then shrieking, âI missed the wedding?!â
âWedding?â Ajak looks a tad intrigued, joining the other Eternals at the wall. There are a plethora of photos. Not just the wedding, but the many vacations and triumphs you held. Plenty of candid photos that caught Druig in a softer light that the others didnât often see.
âThat is so much good content for my documentary wasted!â Kingo huffs. Sprite has a look of disbelief on her face.
âLike, when did this all even happen? It hasnât even been like a thousand years since we last saw each other?â
Phastos grins, placing a gift under the tree. âIf you guys paid more attention you wouldâve seen it coming.â
You glance to Druig, who is smugly sipping his cocoa and sitting on one of the recliners closest to the fireplace. He throws you a wink. âYouâve lost your chance boys, I beat you to it.â
Sersi grins at you, wiggling her fingers as if to say âshow me the ring!â. You girls all gather around, forming a little huddle as you reveal your sparkling ring. Phastos had helped make it. A gorgeous golden band, intricate and delicate, holding a gorgeous pear stone that matched the hue of your husband's eyes. His ring had threads of magic that matched your own. Thena smiles proudly, pulling Gilgamesh closer to look. Ajak turns to you, her fingers pushing a strand of hair from your face.
âIâm so very happy for you.â
âThank you, Ajak.â You hum, leaning into her touch.
âAlright. Enough of the gossip. I want to try some of this food.â Gilgamesh grumbles, moving towards the kitchen. The room erupts in laughter and everyone but you and Druig crowds into the kitchen to serve themselves dinner.
You offer him a hand which he takes, joining you in standing. Even you can see that the infatuation in his eyes is just as strong as it was the day he first laid eyes on you. âMine forever?â
âForever.â He presses a kiss to your forehead, where you can just peek at the message Makkari was signing to you:
âYou even have him in the matching Christmas socks? Youâve impressed me!â
You grin at her, leaning into your husband, so very happy that your family surrounds you.

if i ever woke up in a royal au, i hope that aether would be there.
i hope that we would be childhood friends â two nations that are close to eachother and are dependant on the other's main trade (one being produce and the other being weapons). to make everyone's lives easier, both rulers decided to merge both nations together to create an even bigger and stronger one, and what better way to do this with an arranged marriage.
since you and aether were around the same age, you two had the same status, were practically raised hip by hip, and got along fairly well you two were the best choice for such. neither of you had anything to say about it.
maybe, in the both of your naĂŻve minds, marriage was just a way on how friends became ultra best friends. the both of you were already great friends so what would be the harm in becoming something greater?
as you two got older, you started to realize that these feelings you had for eachother was anything but platonic. the need to be held by him in a more intimate matter flooded your head like a powerful tsunami. aether â on the other hand â wasnt fairing any better. you make him so giddy, not in the way that he felt while playing knights with you when you were younger did but in the way that he wanted to be your knight, to protect you from anything that might stand between you two.
the day of the wedding came, representitives from both nations came to see you two be happily wed. and as the both of you walking down the aisle hand in hand with a gold ring ajourning both of your forth fingers, maybe this arranged marriage thing wasn't so bad after all.
or would we be fated lovers? you two meeting at a royal event. as you watched over the ball, you caught each other's eye in the crowd and was mesmerizdd ever since. all the stars in the galaxy â no, the universe â were in the blonde's eyes as you could see his face shift into a small smile. in embarassment, you shift your vision to the side as you look for something else to keep your mind of the beautiful man.
however, this didnt last long because of the sudden sound of someone clearing their throat came to you. you looked in front of you to see who it was and you eye catches the same universe of stars. as you study him, eyes trailing him from head to toe, you note that his hand is extended towards you â oh, he wants to dance.
you take his arm as he pulls you onto the dance floor. as he sways you back and forth on the tiled floor, you cant help but feel a sense of serenity. you just met this man, now all of a sudden you feel like you've known him for a millenia.
all of the scuttering of the other dancers fade out as if it was just you, this mysterous stranger, and the music in the large ballroom. this felt so unreal, you wish that you could bask in that moment forever. but like all things do, it came to a close. the music started to fade away as you were brought back into reality.
the next thing you know you were being leaded ever so gently to a balcony to be able to bask in the cool air for the night. that is where you got to witness your beloved stranger bathed in the ethereal moonlight.
he leaned foreward, maybe to connect with yoy after that breathtaking dance you had a few minutes prior. but insteads of locking lips, he whispers his name to you and places a chaste kiss on your cheek. nonetgeless stunned from the undesired placement of the kiss you fail to register immediatly that he was being called away by a woman who seemed to look like him.
oh, when will be the day that your fates cross again? you are utterly dying to know.
