My workflow involves tons of inpainting, which essentially is "partially change the image using AI". It's a bit like Photoshop's generative fill but free (and better🤫). Inpainting can be quite time-consuming, but I hate seeing unignorable artifacts, so I try my best to fix them.

Model-usage-wise, I normally just use the original Flux dev (by Black Forest Labs)+LoRAs I trained+Other style LoRA/Concept LoRA (sometimes Redux too). I run the models with ComfyUI locally and I make my own workflows. I train LoRAs with Kohya's GUI.

Move to Heaven (kdrama) - this probably isn't my usual fare, but I think I'm liking it so far? (Finished the first two eps) It's basically about telling the stories of the dead and making sure they get the respect they may not have received in life. One of the main MCs is autistic (as in, literally diagnosed) and the writing/acting seems to have a good balance so far with not babying him by showing he is competent but just has different rules and different people "get" him to varying levels? (There are definitely some little bits like the implication that his dad learnt sign language for him that feels warm rather than some writer just googling "common autistic traits") Will see how it goes anyway. It seems like the story of the day is episodic but the character stuff is building in the background.

Link Click (donghua) - Started watching this when s1 was airing but it was airing in the same period as Oddtaxi so the mystery parts of my brain were focused more on that at the time. To simplify it, it's a time travel donghua where the MC has to go back in time in order to retrieve info without altering the timeline. Season two is airing now and whilst I prefer s1 still overall s2 is still pretty interesting? Season one is more episodic/structured into arcs with a character focus, whilst season two is more full pelt mystery (so it's a bit surprising I prefer s1 tbh).

Jujutsu Kaisen (anime) - I'm an anime-only with this and am probably going to remain that way (especially from what I've gleaned about the manga - I might just watch to end of season two then leave it be?). Season two so far has captured me more than season one, though I've not seen the latest episode yet so will see if that holds when we return to the main cast. Either way, the openings and endings are genuinely so well-made. Even if the series goes entirely in a direction I hate I know I'll always have them.

Again My Life (kdrama) - Lawyer guy gets into trouble trying to take down a powerful guy. Gets killed (shocker). Gets sent back to his younger self to do it right this time. Not a super original plot admittedly, but it's a chill story so far and the relationships between the main cast in it (pretty much all platonic at least at this stage) are all really sweet. It's also doing surprisingly well in giving the female characters interesting conflicts

Adventure Time (US cartoon) - Not watching the whole thing and I have seen a number of random episodes out of order before, but am trying to crash course my way through enough to watch Fiona and Cake. Just finished the episode about Finn's ocean phobia and um, bit more yikes than I was expecting at this stage, but okay. Also, unfortunately, I can entirely see what people mean about Bubblegum&Finn being inspiration for Makima&Denji

Klara and the Sun - first arc complete, extremely worried about some flags I'm picking up, rip. It's from the POV of a robot (AI kinda deal) and narration-wise, it really shows. Klara's pretty naiive in some ways, but the world-building and clues still make their way through the narration filter

House of Leaves - okay, ngl, I'm not far into this at all, but I've been confused about references to it for years and it seems meta so I'm going to get through it

i have 3 things to say:

today all our design shit was due and it was crazy. i have an old ipad from idek its an old peice of shit tho but i refuse to buy another bc the day i buy an apple product is the day i die i would rather kms actually. anyway the battery is shit and bc i had been working on my environment design all night when i got to school it was on 2 percent and i still had to send all my files to my computer but i fucking did it JUST💪💪💪💪💪 BUT THEN my design teacher was looking at everything in my workbook and she was like heyyy what if u printed out all ur very early sketches for ur characters. mind u i already have excellence at this point so there wasn't really much point but i had to do it bc what ifffff she decided it wasn't actually enough for excellence and i got merit i would die. so with my ipad on 1 percent i started gathering all my sketches THEN IT FUCKING DIED so i had to find a charger and plug it in and start uploading everything to my computer to print out. anyway i made it but it was a stressful fucking time.

I am very hung up on the fact that two main modes of human expression: language and visual art, have been automated, and more importantly commodified.

I go to university. From personal observation of my fellow students, the use of chatgpt to do incredibly simple essay work is endemic. Literally every single person in my history class last term used it to write summaries of the reading. Even people who I know are smart, have said they used chatgpt to create outlines for essays. I don't understand the purpose of this; surely you are able to think through an outline for an essay? Surely this does not need to be automated. Chatgpt is cheating, to me. You cheated. You didn't have the thoughts you were meant to have. You let a computer do the thinking. Why are we here?

I think there is essentially a move away from thinking itself, especially with the fact that addiction to short form video content is completely real. I think people my age, but especially people younger than me, are mostly unaware of its addictive nature, and essentially everyone has no means to break free from it. I remember when I was a kid, and how my brain worked then, how thinking felt before I was addicted to my phone. Do the children now, who were given the internet as babies, even know that it is different?

I think it's the end of thought. No one wants to think. No one wants to read, no one wants to write. No one cares if things are good, they care if it's fast, or if it makes money. I think now with AI we are set on a path towards the degeneration of human intelligence and creation, all in the name of capital.

People always say that AI lets them have a "more efficient workflow". Id be interested to hear if these people actually work less than they did before they started using AI. Or do they just do more work for the same amount of time and the same amount of money? Or is it just that they're able to do more work for more money, for the same amount of time? I never hear anyone say, "ai has given me more free time". Wasn't AI supposed to free us for more important things? Like writing, and art, and talking to people?

A lot of stuff people are using chatgpt for is just insane dystopian shit that makes my head explode. On Reddit one of the top uses was making up bedtime stories for their children, praised for its "novelty". The fuck??? You have allowed the connection to your child be automated by a machine. That machine does not love your child. It did not choose those words to make them smile or laugh. You could not, out of love for your child, spend 5 minutes, pondering a bedtime story?

One major reason there was backlash against the Vietnam war was the fact that it was being photographed. The photos of the horror of war were enough to move a generation. Now, photos of war and of atrocities are just part of doomscrolling. Our awful little habit. We basically see children dying every day, multiple times a day even. I think this in itself is unnatural. I don't think it's possible for a person to feel empathy for anyone on their screen anymore. There is just an oversaturation of images. I do not think we were meant to live in this way.

This is what I mean when I say it is the end of any meaningful human connection. There will be no exchanging of thoughts, of empathy. We will not have thoughts, we will not have creativity. We are slaves to the machine and to techno capital and putting things on the Internet so ads can be put beside them. That is the only reason we are here. Is to look at our screens and make money for other people. Not to think, not to love, not to make anything at all.

Mid has to be one of the greatest arranged marriage fics that i read. I have to say it's perfect and realistic. I could read it all over again until I turned into dust.

Tbh I was having a whole breakdown concerning this story and almost.. abandoned it. I feel like I can’t write mid without consistently thinking it’s not good or it’s not reaching people’s expectations so I keep agonizing over it’s quality. I was having so much trouble with this current scene and honestly I wanted to just stop the story all together. Ik many people wait for this story and throw around all these lovely comments and such but it’s so so daunting, I feel like there are so expectations and I feel so much pressure idk why. But I forgot this is my story, and I will write it how I want to. I keep getting scared I’ll write something in a way where it won’t sound good to a reader and it’s just eating at my mind. I can’t focus on this story, I feel locked down and shackled to it.. like I need to write it for others or else people will get upset with me and demand updates.

I started questioning my ability to write it, almost like someone that creates an AI and it suddenly gains a conscious of it’s own. Like I’m writing myself into a corner I can’t get out of. Idk why it feels like I’m losing my control on the story, like idek what I created anymore. I sound like I’m rambling probably, but I think I need a break from this story after chapter 12 because I’m close to just losing my sanity over it. I cannot write it without a million expectations clouding my mind and it’s becoming almost agonizing to write. I feel like I’m suffocating writing it, so just thank you for saying this. I needed it, needed to hear someone tell me they’re here but they like the way I write my story, and calling it my own because I always feel so dictated by expectations and that pressure hinders how I write.

I’m sorry for ranting but this is the truth, I feel like I’m enslaved to a story idek know anymore, and while I have fun writing it it’s still such an agonizing process thinking I need to update or people will get mad at me.. sometimes I have anxiety attacks writing the story. Hello~ The last popularity poll we had was back in 2008 and, at the time, Z*ki was the most popular ship whilst Kaname was the most popular character. I’m not sure how things stand now, so it’s impossible to say whether popularity is really a factor in how Hino is doing things. 

Personally, I think it’s more to do with the order of things now. Hino didn’t get the greenlight to turn VKM into a full series until after Chapter 4 had been released, and if you look at those first 4 chapters, they all have big Kaname moments in them. 

Chapter 1 - Yuuki dreaming of Kaname holding the baby

Chapter 2 - Kaname hugging Ai and Ren at the end

Chapter 3 - Kaname saying that he has a faint memory of his first meeting with Yuuki

Chapter 4 - Kaname’s entire backstory with Seiren, emphasising how he’s a gentle person at heart 

So essentially, when Hino didn’t know she had a full series to write and she thought she would only have these one-off bonus chapters, she made a huge effort to give Kaname his moments and time to shine. Kaname was her priority. Now that she’s doing a full series though, she’s started telling the story in chronological order and is doing things in segments. She’s dealing with Zeki and getting them out of the way, and then I can guarantee you that she will focus hugely on Kaname. 

There’s nothing to say that Kaname’s thirst wasn’t quenched. I think Yuuki’s blood fulfilled him just fine. The issue with Kaname however, was never that he was thirsty, it was that he was depressed. And as much he loved Yuuki, her light wasn’t enough to save him. He had already given up on himself as a person, and that’s why he removed himself from the equation. 

Imma be real with you Anon, I don’t want my Yume grandchildren to have anything to do with the Z*ki Brat. 

Hello Rehmey~ It’s perfectly okay for you to use ERS as a reference! We always stick to the original Japanese as much as possible, so there really shouldn’t be any issues :) 

They usually tend to be Z*kis, but yeah. 

You’re right Anon! Every action with Zero reminded Yuuki of Kaname and that is a canon fact. Even when Yuuki asked Zero to date her, she spoke about wanting to return to Kaname first, and the whole reason why she hesitated to be with Zero is because she knew that she would always love Kaname even when with Zero. Kaname is Yuuki’s first and greatest love, whilst Zero was her second choice. 

Nothing to worry about Anon; it’s an ongoing joke between some of us Yumes lol 

Tbh idek what to think about this whole mess. Hino doesn’t have a clue about what to do with Ren and is just trying to throw anything in that will make her character more interesting. 

Considering the way that Hino has treated the relationship between Ren and her parents, not even Hino cares about this part of the story lol

Senri has purer blood than Ren because his mother was a noble vampire, whereas Zero is Level D at best. ‘Half-Pureblood’ isn’t even a thing in the VK universe, you’re either Pure or you’re not, but Senri has far more right to that term than Ren does.

hi! im sry if uve answered this a bunch already and idek if ur active here 😭 but may i ask why ur locked on twt and why some of ur fics are privated (im just assuming theyre the same answer but my bad if not) i love ur fics and went to look for u on twitter, i rly hope ur doing well!

i'm locked on twitter because i no longer use it, and i no longer write, and now that bts are on hiatus as a group i'm taking the time to go on a 'stan break'. i dont really tweet or retweet anything, so there's really nothing to follow there.

i assume you're referring to the three fics i keep on a private collection, and not why i restricted access to all fics to only people with an ao3 account, and the answer is: i just dont want them on my ao3 page for now. there's various reasons for each fic, but they're not important.

and just in case anybody else is wondering, i restricted access to all of my fics to ao3 users only because there supposedly has been a bot who was scanning fics on ao3 to learn how to write fan fiction, much like those ai art programs do, and i dont want a bot to learn how to write fics using my work. but you still can read all 14 of them if you sign up to ao3, it's free and it only takes like, a day :)
