Bad news gang :(
This Freeman Friday is turning into a Cicero Saturday, and not in the fun double update way, but in the slow update way. I wanted to wrap up things tonight but the vibes are really bad for me rn (my therapy has been reschedule for the 4TH time in a row chat I am NOT doing all that great tbh) and tomorrow I will quite literally be busy all day. 6am to 10pm there is not a speck of time I will be able to slip away to write or anything, so uhh jumpscare I actually have things I do outside of fanfiction, crazy right?
TLDR; Update will be a day late for the sake of my mental health and busy schedule.

i'm so happy that right now tumblr is analyzing the nature of forgiveness and moving on from it and sharing wonderful posts about life after those incidents. certainly that kind of discussion years ago would have saved a younger version of me from all the pent-up problems and trauma i have now, but better late than never!
like the idea of if you do something bad you deserve to be able to move on after learning what you did was bad and making an effort to change. as much as people on tumblr preach about doing the right thing and stuff i've never seen people actually feeling safe to move on after they'd done something wrong. including me when i was like 12 and i was a horrible and manipulative person
i feel like people on social media as a general developed a habit of villanizing people so heavily that the promises of being accepted and redeemed were just empty from the beginning. hurt people want a faceless and unfeeling entity to be mad at. that's something i unlearned in therapy. but people keep making that mistake.
if anyone has any more of those types of posts on them right now please let me know. i need more posts and discussions about it for something personal and ongoing if anyone reading could help ^_^

you ever go into a tag for a show or whatever and find several painstakingly created gif sets from interviews with the actors where they're just like. fully mocking fans? talking about them like they're the most despicable thing on this earth kind of bitter mocking. and on the one hand you're like, okay, i get it, fans can really be shit and get overly parasocial and think you owe them something beyond the work you created but on the other it's like. bro this makes me not want to engage with anything you do at all. ever. you don't have to sing your fans praises but you can do them the basic courtesy of professionalism and not ridiculing the entirety of everyone who both engages with your creative work and whose interest ultimately results in your paycheck.

It's wild seeing how much disdain people have for Ian Flynn like my only beef with him is that he doesn't like dark sonic other than that he's okie 👍 yet some people are reaaaaaaaally reaching saying how he tarnished this series like that was a different Archie writer not Flynn lol
i dont care if people like ian flynn or not, or if they like the comics or not, i can think of some parts of both archie and idw that i dont really like, some of which ian flynn was responsible for. and also my opinions and taste in media are not universal. so people disliking idw sonic or ian flynns writing and criticizing it is fine. my problem is when people who clearly hate the comic and arent even having fun hatereading it just keep reading it and never shut up about it and find the tiniest things to get unreasonably mad over (like the art style being too cute or amy being strong or funny expressions being used or song lyric references in the dialogue. yes those are actual examples), flood the idw sonic tags with these kinds of posts, act like anyone who likes idw sonic and is tired of hearing from these types of people just has bad taste and cant handle hearing other peoples opinions (if anything the kinds of people im complaining about are the ones who cant handle hearing other peoples opinions), or they criticize the writers and artists in a way thats genuinely hateful like the person saying they hope ian flynn dies or whatever. like please just calm down and read something else

Broke: Modern AU with foster care
Woke: Modern AU with handwavy organized crime allowing this kidnapping to happen and still look kinda legitimate
Bespoke: Modern AU where the Greyjoys get in a car accident with the Starks due to them stopping for the constantly crossing boars and they leave Theon on the scene saying they're totally just going home to grab their insurance papers and then never return

resisting the urge to be a cocky little prick about my influence on the mike community bc i don’t wanna be a dickhead but. it’s cool to know that i was a part of the mike understanders from the start of s4. like the thing about mike understanding will in the van?? that was my theory! i know i contributed to the theory of mike having a fake death, though it technically came after the hostage theory, and that’s become a really popular concept which is cool!! i remember the jonathan agenda which was a hella fun time!! it’s cool to realize i actually made an impact somewhere. i’ve never really had an impact on anywhere so looking back and noticing how things have changed and actually being able to point out where i contributed is so cool. being a part of a community is so cool. i love sharing ideas and growing and

You know, I feel like the internet has some hostility towards interactions with random strangers and their tendency to be negative (especially amongst ND people), but I'm fondly remembering the time recently where I had to get my passport photo taken and I noticed a House Sparrow couple nesting right outside on one of the overhang roof support pillars. I pointed it out to some random person (a bit unprompted yes, but I was chill about it), and they showed a bit of genuine interest. I mentioned how, in America, House Sparrows are invasive.
IDK, I just feel like sometimes strangers can be okay with being shown things they wouldn't've noticed before, and more people should just look at the smaller things going on around them.
I'm also now realizing there's a decent possibility that this person mistook me for a random teenager (I may be an adult but I am fairly short and quite baby-faced) and didn't want to seem rude. Eh, guess my "teenager-passing"ness came to the rescue again if that's the case.
