Was nobody gonna warn me that I would fall a little bit in love with every character in Stardew
#I am literally following them around and getting excited like a little puppy its insane#I cant decide who I wanna marry I like all of them… I was a little torn between Sebastian and Harvey at first but now Alex is an#unexpected fav??? and I like Elliott and Sam theyre so goofy.. and I appreciate how down to earth Leah is#Emily is also quickly growing on me she feels like the valleys manic pixie dream girl to me. or at least Clint’s manic pixie dream girl#the only characters I don’t have much to say abt are Shane and maru.. Shane’s still a little mean to me like I know he warms up to u as#u get to know him but I’m not there yet.. and I’m just not all that interested in Maru sadly#it’s not just the marriage candidates its almost all the NPCs especially Granny Evelyn SHES SO NICE?? shes fun to talk to I love giving#her my best flowers.. #i dont have a mighty unstoppable unchanging fanbase or anything but seriously it means so much to me that others enjoy my art#idek who i'd be without my art..#sometimes i wonder if i only draw for the sake of getting attention. to.. communicate. i cant deny there is probably truth in that.#but is it so wrong to make something i enjoy and share it with others hoping that they will enjoy it too?#im being a touch dramatic but ive been at this for more years than i thought i would. looking back on it makes me think#and how i learned to prioritize drawing what i want to see. to value my ideas more.. to find new ways of expressing myself#looking back thru my art is like a diary of my life almost#its very personal and yet theres not much to do with it all other than post image online#having my social media presence at all makes me feel like.. if i never accomplish much then at least ill have this#ill be able to say that i made quite a few strangers smile. and thats not nothing#okay this tag section turned into a confession. ill cap it there.#postmadders

sorry but i do believe that it's normal to want AND possible to achieve a good grade in comment writing
#there's this tone when it comes to these posts about comments which poses it as almost a chore or something unpleasant to get over with#and i GET IT! most of these discussions are Writer-led and asking for comments or lamenting their lack it IS embarrassing to ask for!!#but!!! as a READER i dont see enough enthusiasm about the JOY of leaving a good comment?#being able to read something and see what the writer was trying to do (and sometimes when its something they haven't thought of?)#receiving their enthusiasm in response? sharing the joy of being Blorbo Understanders together?#people talk about comments spurring on someone to finish their fic (i have been on both the giving and receiving end of this) but even smal#er scale than that: making someone smile? knowing you made them feel like their work was Seen?#i have been fortunate enough to make friends with some people who are brilliant writers just because we were enthusiastic in each others co#mments and you dont have to be A Writer to do this all you have to be is A Reader#anyway i LOVE writing comments as a separate thing from being a writer and it is a different skill that readers can (and should) learn

hong hae-in deciding not to tell anyone except one person about her illness has been reminding me of twenty years old again a lot. ha no-ra thought she was dying because of the report mix-up she also didn't tell her husband and her son just her best friend. then she learns she was never sick but her son finds out and he was so angry and heartbroken that his mother didn't even tell them when she thought she was gonna die. that scene always stuck with me. while she was way too nice of a mother to him he never was a good son but he was also just a teenager who was more focused on his university admission and after finding out he genuinely became a good son to his mother. BUT hae-in's mother is not a teenager she's her fucking mother who the moment she realised her son died after saving hae-in started resenting her... her own daughter who almost died too and i hope it eats her alive that hong hae-in never told her
#i mean she almost died but you chose to resent your own daughter ofc she didn't tell you when she's dying again#ik she'll be forgiven and their relationship will become better but a girl can dream#queen of tears#anyway twenty years old again was great#back then all i used to do was watch kdramas but it was one of the ones that stayed great until the end#good times#now it's a miracle if i am able to watch any till the end#just checked the asianwiki and her husband (young ver.) was played by KANG TAE-OH...#i didn't get it then but now ik it was that damn smile of his 😔#kdrama

i love technology. google translate isnt the best but when u need to talk to someone that only speaks a language u don't know it's very useful.
#delivery guy dropped off our new fridge and i had questions bc we were supposed to get a dishwasher too but there were issues with it so we#gotta get a different one#but we just stood in the driveway typing out a conversation and having the translator app convey the more difficult things we could with#what little knowledge of each other's languages that we had#i also used it a few years ago to talk to this lady who needed directions but only knew portuguese and when i whipped out google translate#to help my dad was like holy shit why didn't i think of doing that before#it's also a personal failing that i dont know spanish i started learning in high school but wasnt that interested because i already knew#another language beside english at that point from self study and i was super self conscious about not being able to pronounce certain#sounds to make words sound correct but i learned after hs that it's because my tongue is literally tied#and it's literally the worst tongue tie multiple doctors have ever seen but im also too broke to get the minor surgery to fix it#its also the failure of my grandpa though for refusing to learn spanish from his parents my dad and his siblings know some spanish but its#all cursing and how to insult people and how to count to 10#which is also most of the spanish i know#i need to start studying languages again i was conversational in swedish but ive let it slip because the only other person i know that also#spoke it stopped talking to me and i still know enough korean to get by because ive been immersed in kpop for so many years but i forgot the#alphabet bc i haven't seriously studied korean since i was 17#i only got to use that korean once and i didn't even get to speak it bc i heard an incredibly juicy but personal conversation between this#girl her sisters her grandmother and her mom about her cheating ex bf and i know granny knew i understood she saw me cover a laugh when she#called the dude a small dick perverted player#she smiled at me and i smiled back when the others weren't paying attention#she was also watching a drama on her phone i can't remember which one it was now bc its been almost 3 years atp

does anyone know how to break out of the stimulation feedback loop? when you do stuff and keep doing more and more and you cant keep track of anything going on anymore and you know its not helping but in that moment its letting you not have to deal with a problem is there anyway to come down and not doing two things at once.

#its really weird to think the impact I have had on people#its almost terrifying to me#people tell me constantly how I make them happy and how I make them smile#I have completely changed peoples lives because I let them rely on me and depend on me so much#its happened multiple times where I have left a friendship and the person isn't the same without me at all#and I am just able to move on#i dont mean this to sound conceited but its happened multiple times where someone becomes super dependent on me#and I help them get them out of their shell and try to make them happy#idk I have yet to meet a person who has impacted me as much as I have impacted others#and that feels weird
