    thunder claps. north is set up by the window with a cup of coffee — it’s the best she can do to stay awake. sleeping during the night wasn’t an option, not in this neighborhood. it’s better than where she was a few weeks ago, but she still doesn’t feel SAFE. but it’s what the twenty-one year old can afford right now. 

    it’s october. she’s lucky to have found a place before winter started. it isn’t particularly cold out tonight, but it’s chilly enough to want to stay inside. she dozes off for a few minutes, immediately woken up by another clap of thunder. eyebrows furrow together as she sees a figure run toward the alley, the one she knows to be especially bad news. 

    she isn’t sure why she feels drawn to go outside. to go after whatever had just run by. there’s a weird feeling in her chest, a feeling deep down that they need help. it wasn’t a run to get out of the rain, it was a run for dear life. she knew what that looked like. 

    north puts on a sweatshirt, pulls the hood over her head. she slips on a pair of heels — they’re the only shoes she owns at the time — and then she’s outside, making her way to the other’s hiding spot. she finds a girl crouched down near a dumpster, dressed in nothing more than some undergarments under a dirty hospital gown. 

    ❝ are you okay? ❞ called out from a bit of a distance. she doesn’t want to scare them off. ❝ hello? ❞

still thinking about the brainrot that fast fashion has caused in people, like i made this pair of pants that are black and white with a cool flowery design, and an acquaintance saw them and said "wow i'd pay like 20 dollars for you to make me a pair" and i could barely think with how utterly horrified i was at that; i told them that 20 dollars wouldn't even cover the materials, let alone the hours of work that went into cutting, sewing, ironing, hemming, altering, etc. they just had this look on their face when i told them that, when i said i wouldn't make them a pair for even 100 dollars because that was still way too low of an amount, a look that said "you're crazy for thinking that those cost 100 dollars" and maybe i am crazy but holy shit, 20 dollars for a pair of handmade, durable, lined pants fitted specifically to your measurements? 20 dollars for upwards of 60 hours of work? 20 dollars for several yards of high-quality fabric, thread, and buttons? 20 dollars???

I just think that 'animals are living intelligent creatures that have feelings and deserve to be respected' and 'when done properly farming is beneficial to both people and animals and there's nothing wrong with raising and killing animals for food, clothing, and other products' are concepts that very much can and should coexist

that scene in tlo where thalia tells percy he can't start feeling sorry for luke bc luke made his choices. and thalia reveals that the reason they couldn't make it to camp in time for all of them to make it to camp was bc luke kept picking fights. and annabeth never saw this as wrong bc luke was her hero. so thalia had to pick up the pieces. and percy thinking both that luke was put in a cruel position and that luke was putting others in a cruel position. and percy is the only character who understood both sides of luke bc annabeth sees only the best of him and thalia sees only the worst. and that's why percy is the prophecy kid and the one who gives luke the knife. bc annabeth had spent the entire series essentially giving luke the knife when he didn't deserve it. and thalia was never going to give luke the knife. but percy is the only one who can see exactly when luke deserves the knife.

Since the Sports Festival was coming up in a few days, Izuku made sure to train extra hard to prepare for it. He had been running up and down the shores of Takoba Beach for the past two hours after a while of weight lifting.

Of course, while much of it was done without direct supervision, today's training was done under All Might's watchful eye.

After completing his run, he doubled over, panting hard and worked on catching his breath. He stood back up after a moment and wiped the sweat from his brow with the back of his arm.

He glanced back at his mentor and asked, "D-did you want me to run any other drills before the end of training today?"
