was thinking about takeshi and how he's my favorite brand of unconditional devotion btw. the utter and absolute and all-consuming kind that runs so deep to the very core and is so intrinsic and fundamental to it, it can only express itself in the most casual and natural and certain way. without second thoughts, without any room for doubts or for any moral dilemma to be had over it, because of course he ought to always be breathing and living for his chosen person first and foremost. of course he ought to hang on their every word and make them true no matter what, no matter what he has to do to make it happen, no matter what he has to do to other people to make it happen, and no matter what it might turn him into in the process. because it's obviously the way the world should be for his chosen person. at their feet, ready to bend over backwards and break and build itself again to better answer to all their needs even if they don't ask it for it. it's the only right way it should be for them, and of course takeshi's going to do his utmost at all times to make it a reality as much as possible.

and his devotion comes out as naturally as breathing, comes out lighthearted and nonchalant like he might as well be talking about the weather, but it's not unaware of itself. it's not that takeshi doesn't know it's unhealthy and wrong and that he's willing to go entirely too far in its name for anyone's good. it's not that he wouldn't hear you out if you were to sit him down and explain to him just why he needs to tone it down a little (a lot). logically, he'd agree with you and know you're right. and then he'd tell you he's still not going to do anything whatsoever about it. that he's not bothered by it and doesn't feel the need to change anything to his attitude. makes it a point to never let anyone or anything sway him even an inch in the stand he took when it comes to that, no matter how many thousand of times you might go over the subject with him.

because the morality of his devotion isn't the point at all. is entirely irrelevant to it and doesn't affect the way he expresses it all. it's not the metric with which he draws a line in the sand to hold it accountable to. because the thing is, takeshi's entire world revolves around tsuna--tsuna is his entire world altogether, and it's just a matter of fact, that simple. to him it's a truth as unchanging as the sky being blue, and so being the way he is according to that truth is the only way he can imagine being that'd feel right to him. and so the actual and only metric that matters here is "would tsuna be happier if i were to do this?" and/or "is this something tsuna needs me to do?"

and like. i don't think takeshi ever stops being a kind person capable of compassion and understanding and mercy and forgiveness even ten years later once they became mafia through and through. and i don't think either he grows up to be feared and called a monster per se despite the things they inevitably had to do during those ten years (and the things they'll inevitably keep having to do as long as they keep being mafia), at least not in the way, for example, they'll never stop fearing and calling mukuro one. but i do think that among the tenth gen, he ends up being the one with the most ruthless, merciless and horrific blood on his hands of that particular and distinct loving kind. you know the one i mean, right? he comes to be the one most expected and the one first expected to be willing and to take it upon himself to go through with it when the need arises. and to think little of it after, if anything at all. all in the name of making tsuna's reign as easy on him as possible.

and it's to the point where it's the kind of blood that makes even mukuro pause at times. or, when takeshi is the one coming up with solutions himself during meetings, makes even reborn blink. not because it's unjustified or wouldn't be safe or efficient or anything of the sort, but because it is unwarrantedly thorough in its retaliation. and sometimes, at times like this, he's the one tsuna needs to step in for the most, because he's the only one who can reason with him that "yes, this would work in getting rid of our problem" but "no, please, don't do that takeshi". because if tsuna is the only thing that infers on just how much and in what ways he'll let himself be devoted to him, then of course, he's also the only one takeshi's willing to reign himself in for without second thoughts. because he'd hate to ever do something tsuna would disapprove of or wouldn't want him to do. or do something that'd make tsuna see him differently or love him back less even in the slightest.

and it's also like. his devotion isn't an undisciplined one. it's not one he doesn't have control over, the very opposite. it's a very purposeful and conscious choice he chooses to keep making over and over again every step of the way, and he taught himself to have control over it, to know when it's needed and/or wanted, and how much and in which ways it is when it happens, and to keep it down otherwise. and, yes, to also reign it back in at tsuna's request at times when it still slips past his control. because it's all about making tsuna's happiness easier and secure and long-lasting, and never about burdening him with just how committed he is to do that.

so it comes down to this: takeshi willing to go above and beyond and more for tsuna unless tsuna explicitly asks him not to. and to tsuna needing to ask him not to every now and then. and to other people pointing out to him how too many times tsuna's already needed to stop him, and that maybe there's a hint for him to take there. and to takeshi seeing the hint, looking it straight in the eye and recognizing it for what it is and just. deciding it doesn't apply to him because it's all perfectly normal behavior to him. because it's the only kind of behavior that makes sense to him and feels right.

and so—to circle back to my first point—he can only express his devotion as naturally as breathing, so casually, almost like it's something inconsequential and not worth talking about despite how unmistakably it couldn't be further away from being the truth. it's the only way he could have always known how to express it, because, after all, who has ever taken time to ponder about the details and the hows of the way they breathe?

What does this mean for his future arc?

He seems relieved that his father doesn't speak much with Demetrius either. Damian thought he himself was the problem, because he believed his brother had a close relationship with his father, but now that he knows he doesn't maybe he's glad it wasn't his fault.

But on the other hand at one point he will have to realize that if not even Demetrius, an imperial scholar, can get his father's attention, then getting stellas won't really help him. Will he feel defeated? Will he continue to try being an imperial scholar for his own sake? I'm very curious.

Btw can we talk about how all this time Damian knew his father spent a lot of time with Demetrius when he was younger, making him think his father just didn't like to spend time with him? POOR KID. Like it was already sad but I didn't expect Donovan to actually be present in Demetrius life, at least when he was younger, that must have hurt even more.

Also also why did Donovan spend so much time with Demetrius?????? And why is he not doing that now?????? Especially with the weird way Demetrius thinks, it's very suspicious.

I wrote this theory a while back and Demetrius is thinking a lot how I expected Donovan to think. Is it possible that everyone in the Desmond family except for Damian was experimented on? Even Melinda, I mean it's still possible that the way she thinks comes naturally from her complicated relationship with Donovan, but now seeing Demetrius and Donovan's scars I wonder if there's something more to it.

I've been mulling over something. I read one of Vivzie's interviews lately and I've come to some conclusions about Alastor's character (these are just my own theories, though, so we'll see how everything actually develops in s2).

Unfortunately, I believe, canonically, Alastor is NOT aromantic. Maybe on the aro-spectrum, and deffinitely asexual, but not aro per se. In this interview, Vivzie confirms Alastor's asexuality, and plays with his aro identity saying something like "I don't want to ruin people's fun with him". This could be queerbaiting in a sense (I don't actually think so, when Vivzie is high on queer representation, but aro people are very left behind in the community, sadly).

But she continues to add on that there are plans for Alastor in the future of the series, saying something like "I can't confirm that he is aromantic". To me, this reads like we will see romance in Alastor's life in season 2, wether it's a past lover/romantic interest or a new one I could not say. She would've had no problem in confirming Alastor as aromantic otherwise, and I interpret this as Vivzie not wanting to spoil part of the plot.

I used to think that Alastor's deal would most surely be with Lilith, but, while it could be the case, I'm not so sure anymore (although it could be a fun dinamic). But, nontheless, I think Lilith's and Alastor's 7 year absence and his deal are intertwinded somehow.

My bet, for the future romance plot, is that it could be one of these three: either Lilith, whom the fandom is already considering in a sense; the mysterious Eve, or... Lucifer. HEAR ME OUT. I don't say this as a Radioapple enjoyer. The reasons I think it could be Lucifer are the same that I think it could be Eve (although we know absolutely nothing about her).

Mainly, I draw these conclusions from the early comic Zoophobia, from where we know Alastor's character was taken. In this comic, his character is supposed to have a crush on the character of KayCee, a powerful being with whom he could have made an alliance to reign chaos.

KayCee's descriptions could match either of the three romantic interests I mentioned, but what strikes me more are her defining traits: white and gold colour palette, and the apple. We know not all of Vivzie's characters stem from Zoophobia, and the ones that do have (understandably so) went through important changes through the years, mediums and aesthetics.

BUT these could be some clues into what we might discover in s2 of Hazbin. And, so long, the character we've seen fit this palette and apple motif is none other than Lucifer himself. Eve, on the other hand, is also shown during the intro sporting some sort of apple motif, which could be indicative of her future appearance in the series. But we know so little about her, and, knowing Hazbin Hotel will only have 2 seasons confirmed, I'm not sure we will see more of her.

I personally don't like the idea of losing Alastor as an aromantic character. I'd much rather not see him in a romantic relationship whatsoever in the canon series. But that is not my call to make, and he will always be our ace-king no matter what. Also, that wouldn't mean his story or character will be less interesting or developed. So we'll have to wait and see...

And a little more as well...

I think this was the most interesting Stationhead we've had so far with JK. JK was chatty, informative (well, to an extent), I would maybe even say combative? Maybe that's a little too strong a term to use, but I do think he came to show that he is unbothered by the shitstorm going on and clap back just a little bit. And he knows about that shitstorm, make no mistake.

I see Jikookers falling for this hateful campaign against JK. Not only are they perpetuating it, but they are also adding to it, embellishing it, and spreading it.

By now JK has had several girlfriends named, he's a baby daddy (she was pregnant in Feb, so...), he's going on double dates with his mate Tae, trucking (censorship issues had me change that - you know exactly what it's meant to be) her with the windows and curtains open for all to see (after telling us he's aware he's being followed around including home). All this he managed to get done before he sat down and did hours on end of JM dedicated lives, calling him his fan, flirting with him online while in bed for all of us to see, and going on a 4 day private trip with him.

A very wise blogger once said: (@ourwinterspring, hope you don't mind me quoting your wise words):

That. Just that!!!

People that called themselves Jikook supporters (I'm not talking about shippers, they are in this for their own self gratification, while supporters are supposed to be looking out for JM and JK and supporting them both individually and their relationship, which btw is still considered tabooed in their own country), they are rushing to conclusions, and aiding in the spread of these lies.

K-army laughed them off.

Chinese army are fighting them off.

And I army are just spreading them like wildfire.

Why this long winded introduction?

Because Jikook are in an impossible position really. They are a closeted queer couple in a country and industry that would not accept their relationship if it would become publicly known. As long as the door is open for deniability they are ok. Taking that step through that door and out of the closet, that is one hell of a step with many consequences, to them and to those who surround them.

JK is about to release his 1st solo album, and he's in the midst of trying to infiltrate the American and Western music market. To do so they are selling a very certain image, and being queer is not part of it.

They are also both before enlistment to the military.

Them going: "hey bitches, the stories are untrue, we're in a long term loving relationship", is not a realistic expectation. And no matter what JK would say otherwise, the rumours they are just gonna keep coming, cause this train, this coordinated smear attack, it's not finished. And if and when that would be done, we'd be back to Yubi and Rose and Lisa (oh, oops, she's with Freddie), and Miju. Ehm, she's married. But wait, since when has that stopped anyone, eh? It didn't stop the Nicole stories, which, btw, are still rampant, including among some Jikookers (?) - what the actual truck is wrong with people???

So, no Jikook announcement.

A company one? Kind of feel that one won't come either. Again, JK 3D promotions and upcoming album in mind. Not to mention, and this my friends is me being super cynical right now, other than the harassment claims, the company doesn't have a problem with these rumours, given it solidifies his bad boy, truckboy, heterosexual image they are selling right now. There, I said it.

But Jikook, JM and JK, they aren't happy with this. They can't be happy with this. As much as this image is a price to pay, on the way JK is sending us constant hints that it ain't all that you see. That he's a complex being. That he might appear one way in 3D, but another in Seven and another in his CK and Vogue photoshoots (the latter with him being the artistic designer and bringing along some outfits and/or accessories that he wanted himself), not to mention someone else all together in his long lives with us. He tells us this is him. Who we see. But those that only see that image in 3D are just not looking at the full picture he's painting.

Btw, I kind of feel like I need to link this post again, seeing that so many are still thinking that having muscles, tattoos and piercings makes you heterosexual or at least bi. Cause, I mean, you must be sexually attracted to women if you are super masculine, and get tattoos or pierce your body, right?

Oh boy, this is a long one. I haven't even started with Stationhead, lol.

So, JK is trying to show us he's a complex human being. This is him. Not one MV or song he chose to sing. The full picture. The shoots he chooses, the concepts for his songs (do I have to remind of his Seven concept shoot?), his lives, what he shared with us (as in past tense cause Idk how much more he will with everything that's going on).

And in the midst of this, knowing you are in a committed relationship, having your integrity, your good name smeared, being with the person you love and knowing that the world not only doesn't see how dear you are to each other but also thinks you're being sexually intimate with multiple others. Not to mention, having to deal at this young age with the knowledge that there are people out there that hate you enough to want to hurt you on such a level, to ruin your good name, your career. It can be paralyzing. And they put on a brave face. JK says he knows people hate him and good for them, he'll continue to live his life. But it's hard, it's hurtful, and these two, they are the kindest sweetest people out there, they don't deserve this.

I think about now would be a good time.

Well, not precipice per say. That's being a little dramatic. But I am finally going to get to JK on Stationhead, as in what we got from him during the show.

I guess with this long introduction I should start with the Jikook related, right?

Let's start with JK repeating the endearment JM used in his IG post for 3D.

And then JK basically confirmed that he and JM were together when drawing the cloud whale drawing JM shared with us on IG telling us JK drew it.

Making sure we know that they drew the whale together.

You don't have to understand Korean to hear the amusement in his voice. We don't know when this was taken (CT or perhaps more recently... although my initial thought was CT I'm kind of leaning to it being more recent, like very recent), but we know they were together. We thought so and now JK confirmed it.

Enjoyed confirming it.

He also brought up JM's birthday being this month. Yes, he could be reacting to comments, but we've discussed this multiple times in the past. You know. Choices. And in this case, his choice which ones to answer, right?

Once again, it's all in the way it's all being said. The "I know something you don't" tone of voice. The "a-ha, yeah, Uhah" while supposedly looking up if he's doing something on the day. The "I'm going to be busy...I see I have a schedule..?" ending with a question mark? As in "do I really?" Lol.

The way he was talking, the man has something planned. I really don't want to have any expectations here. But man, he's making it hard for me not to have them. Lmao.

And another JM related comment he chooses to answer:

This time you don't get the sassiness or teasing in his voice like we did with the JM birthday answer. Idk why they aren't doing each other's challenges. It's for them to know. We know JK was showing/teaching JM Seven moves. We know that JK knew SMF pt. 2 moves. I guess it's something they just decided between them. Or perhaps schedules didn't and aren't aligning. Who knows. And who knows, we might just get a surprise. Next phone song JM does could be 3D, lol.

Ok, so he saw his parents. He goes on to also talk about his mother's cooking (oh, that man is so in trouble with his mom calling her cooking bland, lmao). Kind of gathering from it all that JK was in Busan for the holiday. Could that photo JM shared, you know, the one JK made sure we know they both drew the whale on, have been taken when they were both down in Busan for the holiday? I wonder...

This here is, I feel, JK clapping back a little at the haters. But also telling us, once again, that he's an adult and does adult things. Knows how to work hard when needed, and when to "play hard", as in relax and have a good time, when allowed.

This one isn't about Jikook (well in a sense maybe it is, as it's about shooting down TKKs hopes and prayers, lol). JK clarifying Tae's story about him recording a song at JK's place and JK directing him.

So, no pre-planning, JK's reply "and I was like "suddenly"? And also letting us know Tae didn't record the final at his place. Burn, lol. Also answers (again - like in the Inkigayo live) a question about karaoke with Tae. More or less same answer. More or less "that's a no"?

And this I already shared with you guys:

This is basically JK. Again, when he says I'm showing you my true self. It's not the image of the hunky guy with the sexy expressions doing that sexy choreography with the female dancers hands on him. Well not only. It's the shy introvert that feels awkward when these women are touching him. And just to be clear here. This isn't me saying anything about his sexuality. But it's definitley me saying he is not this careless truckboy people are so badly wanting him to be. Being an adult and having sex (let's call it rex from now on), a lot of it, enjoying it, doesn't make it the core of who you are as a person, doesn't mean you are having rex with multiple people for the only pursual of physical gratification nor does it mean that the rex you are having is necessarily with a female even if you are singing a song saying girl in it, to which the lyrics were not written by yourself. JK also sang a song about having rex 7 days a week, but with that one person, in his words, wanting to be all the time with "the love of my life". See, that was a little slip of the tongue by him, lol. But very revealing. Thank you ever so much for that one JK.

Do you understand the difference here?

One being lyrics to a song he's performing, him being a singer. Lyrics he didn't write himself.

The other is his explanation, his take on the meaning of the song he is singing (also not written by him). Inserting that little very personal touch.

Do we get it? JK isn't the lyrics, the lyrics aren't JK.

Oh, and by the by, JK's lyrics aren't referencing multiple partners. If we are being all about "but he's singing it, so it must be who he is". The multiple partners, the truckboy image, that's Jack Harlow's bit. JK is still talking to one person.

But again, I stress, the song doesn't represent JK as a person or his character. And those that are making that leap are simply...

Moving on.

JK's asked which he prefers more? 7 or 3D. Very diplomatically makes sure we know that at the time he liked Seven and now it's leaning more towards 3D. Well duh, this is him promoting it. Then he combines the two to 7D.

"What's your favourite part of 3D?" Him asking the listeners.

JK talked about eating chicken, being busy practicing all the time (I am curious to know what for), finishing up and going home to workout, shower and sleep.

He also talked about GCF and his appreciation for Army.

Asked about music or variety show, and the answer is probably not, it's hard for him (this is where the shy introvert part of him wins, I guess). It's easier to be alone on a stage in front of thousands performing than have to interact one on one with people that you aren't as familiar or comfortable with. On stage you go after much practice. Small talk and interviews and socializing means having to be focused (neuro divergent prince here) and it's so so hard for a shy introvert to deal with. Key word ALONE.

Although he's asked about further plans he's adamant not to give spoilers (well, more so afraid he'll be told off by the company, lol).

He misses the old days I guess. Of Kakao Fancafe. The intimacy of it. The safety of it perhaps.

He also wants to cook for army.

I feel like him telling us he is pulling back on the lives, allowing for the mystery, well he's also missing those lives. He needs that connection with his fans. Maybe even more so with this path he's going down, disconnecting from the idol and becoming the mega star. He needs that emotional connection with his fans. But at the same time, a more intimate setting, where he can really connect with them, is something he prefers.

And again, the connection with Army.

Azriel, the "entitled incel" of the Bat Boys

So I started laughing my head off as soon as I typed the title for this post. Because it's honestly so, so ridiculous this is even an argument people are using against Elriel.

Let's take a quick trip down memory lane, because people are calling Azriel entitled because of the following excerpt:

This man, is so desperately obsessed with Elain, that he is questioning his religion, their GOD (The Cauldron) on why the woman he loves was given to another. He is tortured over it, losing sleep thinking about it.

How does that scream entitlement? Is it because he says the "third sister was given to another"? Because Rhys assumes "You believe you deserve to be her mate?"

Azriel did not even consider the possibility of a future with Elain because she already has a mate. Not because he's only lusting after her, but because he is convinced that he will not get the woman he loves. He has such low self-esteem and image issues that he doesn't think himself worthy of even touching her skin, and you think he feels entitled to her?

Or is it the fact that you decided he just wants a mate? Nowhere in this bonus chapter does Azriel say he just wants a mate, btw, so not sure where that argument came from. Also, if Azriel just wanted a mate, why tf would he go for the only mated female in his proximity?

Wouldn't he, I dunno, latch onto any available single lady in Velaris over the mated and now forbidden Elain Archeron? I believe a relevant analogy is:

If I had a group of friends I hung out with, all consisting of married couples, basically, and I was the lone single friend. OF COURSE I WANT WHAT THEY HAVE AND OF COURSE I WANT TO BE MARRIED TOO? But....even if I wanted these things so desperately, my first choice for love would not be the married guy in my friend group, whose wife lives far away. Like, no. That's not who I'm going for first, or second, or ever, even.

So then why is Az only showing feelings for Elain? He's had sexual relationships before, why can't he just find someone else, why is he still obsessed with Elain?

Also, the incel thing is such a joke. Yes, he has romantic, sexual thoughts about Elain. And that somehow...makes him disgusting and toxic?

Are we just choosing to ignore Rhys's thoughts about Feyre? How these two mfs nearly risked their lives from a trauma-bargain because they were too horny to show enough self-restraint to not f*ck in the goddamn sky?? Those poor pedestrians of Velaris.

Are we just choosing to ignore Cassian's thoughts about Nesta? Like literally every other sentence from his POV was about her thin frame and massive tits, for ffs. He was absolutely chafing for her 99% of the day. But no one had a problem with that?

Cassian even stated he's jealous of Rhys, what Rhys has with Feyre, their bond. But we just decided to ignore that little tidbit too, huh?

And I know this entire argument is just performative. Because if Azriel had shown any even mildly romantic thoughts about another *ahem* character, that side would be screaming from the rooftops in joy. That's just a guess though, given how much they reacted from just platonic banter and something about sparky glow glow warmth in the bonus chapter. If you give a mouse a cookie, I guess.

Either way, I actually read the books, so Elriel is the only answer for me.

Hi! So you can call this a rant or a vent or whatever I don't rlly care - I just wanted to put some of my opinions out there bc it is eating me inside out to keep my opinions on Alastor's sexuality and all of the discourse about him being shipped to myself.

Also i'd like to state that I'm writing this as someone who is aroace but has no actual wish to be in a romantic relationship and actually struggles to so much as picture what that's be like for myself. I would also like to state how I'm not speaking for the whole community and others will have different opinions to myself.

Firstly - aroace is a spectrum (as someone who is on the aroace spectrum btw) and I completely agree with ppl who say that it is a spectrum and shipping has always existed and you can't rlly stop an entire fandom. My only problem is when ppl completely ignore that he is aroace while doing this, bc to me it seems like there's so much potential to having him have to go through those types of emotions and to write him off as if he's completely allo not only can make some people feel unseen but also just isn't as fun.

Also I kind of believe that he'd possibly date someone for the entertainment - like even if he didn't exactly feel romantic attraction maybe he'd be willing to be around someone closely bc he might like the reactions he'd be getting. Adding to that, I personally do not actually ship him with anyone romantically due to his character + the fact that I am projecting my own distaste for romance on him but you do you ig.

Also, on the note of nsfw around him - sometimes you cannot stop a fandom, rule 34 exists and some people who are asexual sometimes may want to have sex and all of that stuff. Personally I think he'd probably be sex-repulsed due to the fact that he canonically has issues with being touched.

ALSO, i personally think that way too many people are brushing over the idea of putting Alastor in a QPR - like that would literally be so awesome.

Alastor x Rosie? Cute af (to me Rosie gives of aro vibes too, but more romance - favourable) like they're already besties and honestly I think that Rosie would defo help him figure out about his identity considering that he's quite obviously not all that sure about slang and stuff.

Vox x Alastor - It has the potential to be SO FUCKING FUN like, you get to experiment with how they feel for each other, maybe what Alastor's got going on bc he died before being aroace was rlly a thing and he'd be confused about how he felt about Vox for sure.

Lucifer x Alastor - I quite like it, ik that Lucifer is supposed to be with Lillith but she did take an extremely long hiatus on her family up in heaven so i think it's okay. Plus the idea of them bonding and becoming close due to Charlie is wonderful.

Even angel and Alastor - maybe after Val Angel doesn't want a super sexual relationship - maybe he's not all that interested in something purely romantic either and though I love huskerdust this would still be pretty cool.

Really all I'm saying is; be considerate. Incorporate the fact that Alastor is Aroace, even if you do ship him - in or out of QPRs - and ofc sometimes writing someone who is part of a group ur not in is difficult (coming from someone who often struggles in writing especially when it comes to romance) but taking a crack at it might actually turn out to be rlly cool.

But please don't ignore his aroace-ness, there's not a huge amount of aroace characters out there and acting like someone isn't can be annoying for ppl who want to find rep around their identity, esp if they haven't seen much before (I can relate and he was one of the first aroace characters I was introduced to after I found out what it meant).

let's start of with saying that kratos totally understands your issues, having a complicated relationship with his father himself, he isn't one to judge

kratos first met you in the woods behind his house, you were just a scared girl feeling alone, atreus begged him to take you in and he hesitantly agreed

and let's just say, since then, he had another kid to take care of

you never really made his journey harder or caused him any trouble, so he not once regretted his decision

at first he was cold, kept you at a distance and didn't give you any attention, however you guys grew really close in very little time

he never really noticed your daddy issues, sure, you always waited for his opinion after doing something, and clinged to him like crazy, but he just thought that's your personality

he noticed how you copy him, and look up to him

he caught you a few times, holding his axe and imitating his attacks, it felt nice, that you want to be like him so much

there was a time that for a week straight you only responded with small grunts and short sentences, you also tried copying his angry face however instead of looking mad you just looked cute

you really looked up to him, seeing him as your father figure and protector

always looking out for you in a fight, taking care of you when you're sick, making you feel really safe

you also absolutely loved any praise or affection that you recieved from him

sometimes doing more than necessary just to see him nod and say some kind words to you, making you instantly light up

one night when he took you training, you managed to shoot all three aims perfectly, causing him to mutter just four words "well done, i'm proud"

and you started crying

kratos confused, turned around quickly to see you with tears falling down your eyes, clinging to his leg (since that's where you can only reach) and thanking him a million times

he just gently patted your back and stood there akwardly, not knowing what to do

not moving for a few minutes, you managed to let out a quick sorry and started explaining that's the first time you felt so appreciated

telling him about your father, who never gave you really affection or attention, no matter how hard you tried

you also explained, how he was the one that left you in the woods, for apparently missbehaving by losing his knife

kratos listened to you let it all out, and slowly hugged you, noting to himself to give you more attention and praise

he wanted to give you everything your father couldn't, even though he can't be really considered a perfect one

kratos proved his caring for you using actions, however mimir was the one with words

whenever you had a problem that man did anything to solve it, and honestly you really were thankful for having such amazing two fathers

OMG YES YES YES!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS WEFNLSNDFLKEN I LOVE THEM!!! I have SO many headcanons for these two <3

Sanji comes out to the crew not long after the time skip, but the first one to know is Robin and she's the one that encourages her to tell the others. However, Sanji is worried (and yes, I am making it Sanuso because I am just that annoying with them) because she isn't sure whether Usopp (they're dating already btw) will still love her after knowing this (not the fact that she's a girl, bc Usopp is like, extremely bi and Sanji knows this. It's more like the concept of being trans and her body and etcetc). Robin tells her about her and Franky and how she was also anxious at first (she's also transfem btw. She has wise older trans girl energy) but he loved her body just the way it is. Perfect. "SUPERRR!" in his words, of course. So Robin tells Sanji that she's sure Usopp will love her either way, but if, for any reason, he doesn't want to keep going with the relationship, that doesn't make Sanji less valuable. Just like Robin didn't need Franky to tell her she's beautiful for her to accept it.

Turns out everyone accepts her, of course, even Zoro is nice to her. Robin is next to Sanji when she tells them the truth about herself and how she'd like to be treated now. However, Sanji is looking at Usopp and Luffy the whole time. Her boyfriend and her captain. Luffy's the first one to break the silence, saying that as long as she's free and happy and still cooks for them, then it's alright!! Robin gives her a fond smile while it happens. Usopp approaches her when everybody is walking away, and without saying anything else, he just kisses her. A thing that is completely new because Usopp is mostly a man of words, but right now he just wants to kiss her, and Sanji isn't complaining. Also, if you're curious about the other straw hats' reactions (can you tell I'm super into this whole thing):

Franky: Now we have three SUPERRRR beautiful ladies on the ship!! 😎 (Or, another option: *Dramatically sobs because Sanji just told them the most heartbreaking story about her life and how she struggled to realize she was a girl*) Nami: Oh fucking finally, I thought I would have to deal with this forever. I thought you were a pervert but turns out you were just repressed as hell! Way to go, girl!!! Welcome to the club!! Zoro: She's still a pervert- Good for you, though. I'm still going to beat your ass when we fight. Not going easy just because of this, shitty cook. Brook: Oh, dear, I'm so glad there are more women here blessing us with their presence. Now, may I see your- *Nami hits him so hard his skull almost breaks in half* Chopper: Sanji!!! I'm so sorry we didn't know anything!!!! Now I feel bad for treating you like a man!!! You're not!!! You're a beautiful woman, Sanji!!! (Sanji: Chopper, I didn't even know. How the hell did you expect to realize first-) *Sobs* I- I don't know!! But I'm sure you'll be even cooler as a woman now!!!

Robin tells Franky ASAP to build a bed for Sanji in the girls' room, but she doesn't tell Sanji right away. Nami helps her move Sanji's stuff from the boys' bedroom to theirs, and they make it a bit cozier and wider for the three of them. After dinner, they show Sanji what they've done and she almost breaks down crying.

Sanji is kind of self-conscious about her body, and she actually really likes wearing her suits, so it isn't a problem. But sometimes she envies Robin and Nami's clothes and bodies, and she wants to be able to wear dresses and more fem clothes too. Robin notices without Sanji saying anything and ends up lending her discreet clothes from her wardrobe for now until they have the chance to go shopping. Nami, then, is the one to buy clothes for Sanji with her own money (as surprising as it sounds) because it's, and I quote: "A real emergency. The fact that I haven't seen you in heels yet is a crime".

She starts thinking about her hair one day when Usopp notices it's getting a lot longer, running his fingers through it. Sanji has always been used to short hair. She doesn't even mind having it like this. A lot of girls have short hair. But perhaps she can... Try. Not cutting it for a while. See where it goes. (Lil spoiler: Turns out she likes long hair because it reminds her of her mom <3 Usopp loves it because this way he can do all sorts of hairstyles with it!!!)

The first time she showers with the girls at some thermal baths they find on an island, she almost has a heart attack. Being a girl does not keep her from simping, she's just a lot more normal about it (I have the lil headcanon that Sanji's constant pervert behavior is just gender envy). But also it's the excitement and feeling of belonging!! Besides, bathing with them is sooo much calmer and nicer than with the boys.

Issues with her voice? Not to worry because Robin, being the wise older transfem she is, teaches Sanji how to feel more comfortable about it and shows her tricks to train it for her voice to sound more soothing and high.

Eventually, Robin asks Sanji if she wants to try and contact Ivankov because they could help with her body, if she wants to. Sanji isn't sure. She feels like changing it completely would be like betraying herself because she doesn't want to be ashamed of her body. She's a girl no matter what, after all. But sometimes dysphoria is just... Too much. And perhaps living with a more fem body would help her. Robin tells her to take her time to think about it, and that no matter what she chooses she'll still be beautiful and a wonderful young woman!!

Silly lil thing but I think Robin would always use her hands (like, her extra hands) to keep Sanji's skirts covering her legs because girl be fighting with Zoro without realizing she's wearing a dress, lmao. The thing about her fighting style being all about kicking doesn't mix with well with some outfits.

Usopp used to be invited to girl nights, along with Chopper. Because Chopper is just, like, y'know, kind of their lil brother and Usopp is... Usopp is Usopp. He's the bestie of the gals. He's one of the girlies (he is not. He's just there because he's like the token gay friend in the girl group that always stands out. Like in teenage movies. Dude wants to be there and Nami doesn't complain). But once Sanji starts joining those girl nights, Usopp is completely banned from them. No boyfriends allowed.

Robin and Nami start using "Sanji-chan" to talk about her and it just makes her feel so so so happy!! (Actually I had to look up if Robin uses -chan for Nami and she actually does when talking to others about her???? Which is cute. I think they'd do it with Sanji for gender-affirming reasons mostly rather than just using honorifics).

Whenever Sanji argues with Usopp (surprisingly more often than you probably think, but it's just about stupid stuff) she always goes to Robin because she's the rational one and will probably help her better than anybody else. And also Usopp asks Nami for advice so Sanji can't exactly go to her.

If I start talking about my ideas for Whole Cake Island with transfem Sanji hiding that she's a girl and Luffy going after her to save her I might actually die so I won't (and this would probably change this whole thing to a Lusan post and we don't want that right now). But!! Thinking about Sanji in WCI missing Robin's presence because she always knows what to say, and not knowing if telling Reiju is a good idea.

Okay...going to wade into the Sabezra discussion. May the flying spaghetti monster in sky have mercy on my soul...

I guess you could call me a "causal viewer" because, despite being a life long Star Wars fan, I'd never watched an episode of Rebels before watching Ahsoka. I just never got around to it and I've only watched a handful of eps of The Clone Wars too. But anyway once I started Ahsoka I was like "this show will clearly make more sense if I watch Rebels" so I started. I'm almost done season 3 of Rebels as of writing this post. And really loving Rebels btw. Part of me of like "why didn't I watch this earlier?" but on the other hand I don't have to wait for the next episode and I know the major spoilers already so I'm not going to get the rug yanked out from under me.

So back to Ahsoka and Sabezra...the big questions. Did I see the romance "coding" (not sure I agree "coding" is the right word but whatever, that's semantics) in Ahsoka? Yes. Sabine's actions definitely come across as her being in love with Ezra to me. That said I can also see the platonic angle, especially after having watched some of Rebels, so I'm not going to tell anyone they are wrong for viewing Sabine and Ezra's relationship as platonic. These things are subjective and open to interpretation until anything definitively romantic or definitively not romantic happens on screen. And at this point nothing definitive has happened either way on screen. Nobody has been proven right and nobody has been proven wrong yet. Sabezra is basically schrodinger's cat right now.

Next how did I interpret the "like a sister" line in Ezra's holo. Um...full disclosure the first time I viewed that scene I didn't even register that he'd said she was "like a sister" to him. I'd never even seen Rebels at that point so I didn't know Ezra yet. So as a causal viewer my take away from that scene was Ezra meant a lot to Sabine and Sabine meant a lot to Ezra. And I'd be wiling to bet that that was the takeaway for most causal viewers.

So on rewatch do I think the "like a sister" line means that Ezra truly sees Sabine as a sister? No. On rewatch, paying close attention to the body language, and after having watched some Rebels, I think Ezra is both struggling to find the words to tell Sabine how important she is to him and telling her what he thinks she needs to hear in that moment. The problem is that in English we don't have a word to describe someone isn't technically family but who isn't a lover either but who's also way more than "just" a friend. Sister is the best word Ezra can come up with in that moment but you can tell from his awkward body language and his literal scoff as soon as he says it that its not the right word. And yeah I think Ezra thinks that Sabine sees him as a brother so he tells her what he thinks she wants to hear right before he heads of on what very well could have been a suicide mission.

Do I think Sabezra is going to be made canon on Tuesday's final episode of Ahsoka (of season 1 at least). No, but hold on nobody panic!!! I also don't think that means Sabezra is dead in the water either. And frankly I'm kind of mystified as to why Sabezra shippers seem to think that the next episode is make or break for Sabezra when its clearly not? If there isn't a love declaration or a kiss or both (which is what I'm assuming people would interpret can them being made canon) its not like either Sabine or Ezra are going to marry someone else on Tuesday either. And since much of Ahsoka has been set up, meaning not much is actually going to get resolved in the next ep (Thrawn hasn't even left Perida[?] yet! I fear we are ending on a cliff hanger), we'll be seeing Sabine and Ezra again. There's no rush for them to get together romantically (and I know that's hard to hear for people who've been shipping for years but its true).

And further to the "there's no rush" point I actually have to say I that I think its WAY too soon for anything definitively romantic to happen between Ezra and Sabine yet (and again I get how hard that is for those who've been shipping them for a long time). And I say that as both a "casual viewer" and someone who's also watched a good chunk of Rebels now. For the causal viewer who hasn't watched Rebels, which is probably a big chunk of the audience for Ahsoka, they barely know Sabine, have just met Ezra and have only seen them interacting for ONE episode and don't know any of their history. A kiss or a love declaration would seem out of the blue at this point I think. And as someone who's getting into Rebels I still think its too soon. While I agree that Sabine is very likely in love with Ezra I don't think she's admitted to herself yet (that's why Baylan used the word family when he was getting her to hand over the map thingy imho) no way is she ready to tell HIM. And as for Ezra...dude is clueless that Sabine might might have non platonic feelings for him so no way is he going to risk ruining their friendship by blurting out that he's in love with her. And not only that they've been separated for 10 YEARS ffs. They need to get to know each other again before anything romantic can happen, again imho. I want Sabezra to become canon but I want it done WELL. Sabezra is a friends to lovers ship, they are still firmly in the friends stage right now, it needs to be a sloooooow burn.

And finally do I think Sabezra will become canon? Honestly...I don't know. I'd like it to, it would be really nice to have a non problematic ship, especially after the sequel trilogy robbed us of FinnRey and tried to force freaking r*ylo. But I think Filoni and the other powers that be over at DLF (he is NOT the sole person calling the shots here, keep that in mind everyone) are probably testing the waters right now and waiting to see what the audience reactions are like before they make any decisions. I'd be wiling to bet that by the end of Tuesday's episode the door will be left wide open for pretty much anything to happening shipping wise. So we'll just have to wait and see. Time will tell, it always does.

Why Lucifer being a good person is fucking stupid:

So in the show canon Lucifer and Lilith were kicked out because they were dreamers and gave Eve the fruit of knowledge. Based off the lore of Helluva Boss Lucifer 99% is the sin of Pride. In the show Lucifer is just a quirky theatre major who just wants to reconnect with his daughter...

Ok so lets analyze why this does not make sense in the worldbuilding. Lucifer is the King of Hell, a.k.a. a place full of homicidal maniacs and various other people. And since angelic weapons can harm angels (which is stupid btw) and sinners have been stealing weapons left behind by angels... Lucifer logistically cannot be a good person because these people could just decide to try to murder him if he was too weak. He needs the sinners and populace to fear him or respect him. Since Helluva takes place in the same setting Lucifer must have put in the social hierarchy of hell, approved it or doesn't do anything about it. Which means he plays some part in Stolas and Stella being forced to wed and the imps plus hellhounds being treated like garbage.

Then we get into story construction problems. Like if Charlie and Lucifer have a good relationship instantly then almost all the problems in the show can be solved at a snap of a finger because of Lucifer's power level. Its a similar problem with Alastor but worse because Lucifer is stronger. Like Alastor tho is implied to be weakened and forced to do this so there is intrigue storywise and limits on his personality and power. Lucifer is angel and can just like idk zap the Vees. Theres no threat, risk or anything now.

Also this Lucifer may have slept with Eve which either implies he cheated on Lilith or Adam was cheated on twice and Lucifer also agreed with genocide

And what wouldve been better is Lucifer being a shitty dad or person WHICH WE HAD IN THE PILOT. Like Lucifer being awful is actually better for the previous reasons and Charlie's own character. Like Charlie is supposed to be an underdog despite being princess and has an impossible task and if her father doesnt believe in her theres another personal level to then and maybe some of the audience could connect with her. And if Charlie's dad hates her or something you could easily write in and make Charlie struggle more by having him cut off her resources. Heck if her dad is awful then you can write in how Charlie feels about being so morally different. Then slowly build up to when we see Lucifer for the first time and actually have it feel special

This just makes me missed the pilot even more. While it did have it's own problems with the worldbuilding and characters, a majority of its ideas were still believable.

A better angle for Lucifer would be if he was a morally grey character. He can still be a decent father but a terrible ruler. Of course, that angle wouldn't work because everything in this show has to be black and white, where it literally tells you in a song, "Cause the rules are black and white" despite the same show critiquing its Heaven for the same black and white thinking.

I'm not against the idea of Lucifer being a decent father because there are still other ways the show can create conflict between him and Charlie. For example, he does get her the meeting into Heaven but it's at a cost. If she's unable to convinced Heaven, she has to abandon the hotel. Or maybe he is skeptical of Charlie's idea so he makes her overcome the hotel's problems, like the Vees, alone, to prove how strong and passionate she is. Of course, if they hurt Charlie, he can easily kill them, but it can serve as a great character moment for the both of them. Charlie learning Hell is brutal, Lucifer now hating the hotel because it will hurt Charlie, and create a new conflict where Charlie and Lucifer are against each other. Or the fact Lucifer was the one who allowed the exterminations to happened and Charlie has to undo her father's actions.

I'm only focusing on Lucifer being a "good" person through parenting because almost everything else, he's a bad guy. Not only was this the same man who allowed the yearly genocide of the sinners but also he created the classist, racist social hierarchy and system in Hell, and let the pride ring become so awful, the overlords, a group of powerful sinners, are taking advantage of regular sinners daily.

I am reminded that i seem to have a tendency to try and mirror the Stars and Nightmare's gang off one another. if you don't exactly know what i mean. that's fine i am not the best at wording things BUT it's kinda like this:

a few of the gang members reflect some of the roles Dream Blue and Ink have in their Group and vice versa.

I see Dream and Nightmare as the leaders/tired dad friends. They have Different personalities but hold the same position.

I also see Ink and Killer as The Chaotic Gremlins of their own groups. Once again very different yet somewhat similar in a way. Both seem to have difficulty with emotions and their souls. Very Different problems but in a way mirroring each other.

Horror and Blue are kinda the secondary chaos Mediators. They both also are often the Ones who Cook... They also can both be Chaos initiators if they want to but for the most part are the less impulsive ones. Yet Once again VERY different from each other but also a Mirror in a way.

I also Include Stretch as an honorary member of the Stars sometimes and He could be seem as a Mirror to Dust in a way? Its harder to explain but they have the same vibe ig to their friends. Their the no energy but very smart... thinkers? Its hard to explain but i can see the mirroring.

Stretch and dust also Mirror each other in terms of relationships with the other members of their groups. Dust and Killer have a tendency to clash with each other in my mind, and though Stretch and Ink interacting is not often explored if at ALL, but i can see him having a hard time getting along with ink sometimes though not as violent as Killers and Dusts feuding sibling relationship.

Stretch and Dust also are close to their teams respective Secondary chaos mediators. Which would be Horror for dust, and Blue for Stretch. Stretch is literally Blues younger brother and i see horror as a sort of honorary big brother. He has much Bro energy.

Cross doesn't have a Mirror but then again The Stars are a smaller group. I feel the need to Balance the groups out now... I need another member to be added to the Stars. Just for the sake of this. It is NECESSARY. Then again Cross could be on either team and still seem to fit in. Idk he's a wild card ig. Play him with any team :p

ANYWAYS the point is i think the symbolism of the Stars and Nightmare's gang kinda being two sides of the same coin in a way is entertaining to think about.

Keep in mind i'm talking about my Fannon version of these Goobers i've built in my head based on random headcanons and other things i've seen + other stuff i've thought about.

What's Going On:

From time to time you've been intimate, but your batcher, and you haven't set any hard and fast rules, neither you nor he titles you as a couple yet, at least you haven't verbally. So when you go out with a cute guy after a party and get intimate with that very guy, you don't really think much of it. The only problem is that the guy in question likes to make a name for himself with his bedtime stories and brags about them. Your batcher gets wind of it.

Hunter

At first, he's flabbergasted when one of the other bar patrons, who he knows quite well by now, tells him how some guy bragged about having slept with you and would also reveal wild details about it. "I thought because you two are kind of close that maybe you should know," the acquaintance from the bar ends his explanation. Hunter blinks, he nods slowly and mumbles, "Thanks." He just sits there for a moment, then from one second to the next his pulse races, adrenaline is produced in his body. It takes him a second or two to realize he's pissed off. Hunter points to the guy in the booth at the other end of Cid's Bar and asks, "That one over there?" His buddy nods. "You sure?" Another nod. Hunter stands up, walking purposefully toward the booth and stands next to it, practically directly in the field of view of your one-night stand. Hunter approaches him about it, and the guy completely misinterprets Hunter's interest. He starts bragging again and is already getting into some details. Hunter is not even sure if the guy is just lying completely, or if there's at least some truth to it.

He is so angry, he wants to break the guy's nose. His whole posture is tense, his look so gloomy that even a Sith would hide under the bed. Everyone in the bar knows that he is about to beat someone up, except this one. He is not an aggressive person, he doesn't want to be. But right now he's holding back with absolute effort. Hunter turns around and wants to leave again, wants to try to vent his frustration in another way. But he is barely two steps away from the table as he snaps. "Fuck it..." He turns back around, goes back to the booth, and takes one quick, solid punch. The nose bone breaks, clearly audible, despite the music in the bar. The guy is almost unconscious, he's bleeding, his eyes are watering, and he looks at Hunter, confused and uncomprehending. "Don't you ever touch her again, and don't you dare tell anyone this story again, or I'll come back and break the rest"

He avoids you for the next few days, but sooner or later he brings it up. Hunter is disappointed in you, he was sure that you knew how much the thing between you two meant to him, even though you didn't call it by its name until now. You have an adult, enlightening conversation, finally saying honestly what you think and feel. However, Hunter is now bruised in some ways. He will have a hard time really opening up to you again and trusting you. The possibility exists, but this requires a lot of patience on your part.

Echo

He sits at the bar counter and can't believe it. He stares at the glass in front of him as if he can find any answers in it. It was so hard for him to open up to you intimately, after all he had been through in the past. Echo felt safe with you, understood, loved. Now he has a stomach ache and somehow his chest is getting tighter. That he has to hear from a stranger, how you sleep with other men feels like he has been beaten up properly, several times. He knows that some couples do that, but he never thought that you would want that. He doesn't know whether to be angry or disappointed. Echo is just not sure if this is somehow his fault. Maybe he should have told you very clearly how he felt, what he hoped for from things between you. He just hadn't dared yet, didn't want to impose. Echo is ashamed. A little bit he feels like you not only betrayed his trust and broke his heart, he feels exposed, embarrassed. Just a few hours ago, he was harping to his brothers about how insanely great you are and how happy you make him. Shortly after, they all heard the dirty little story.

When you come into the bar and see him sitting there, you already suspect that something is wrong. When you speak to him, he can barely look at you, his gaze alternating between pain and stony. He officially ends things between you, he also explains why. You are welcome to explain yourself, but it doesn't matter, shit hit the fan already. It's very likely that Echo won't come out of his shell too soon, at least not for you.

Wrecker

What he hears worries him. Wrecker's first impulse is to seek you out immediately, which he does. When you meet, you immediately notice that something is wrong. He seems unsettled and not at all like you have come to know him. "What's wrong, big guy?" you ask him gently. He sits down with you and sighs heavily. "Just heard a story in the bar that made me feel insecure," he says directly. You frown questioningly. "What kind of story?" Wrecker tells you about how this guy brags about having been in bed with you and throws around details from that night. Naturally, you're startled and also angry. Angry that this guy has so little decency, but you push this anger into the background for now. You're much more concerned with the fact that Wrecker is so affected by this. "Apart from the fact that this asshole has no right to spread this around. What exactly upsets you about it?" you ask cautiously. Wrecker wears his heart on his sleeve, actually, always, including now. "I thought something serious was developing between us. Do you see it differently?" he asks directly.

At first, you're a little speechless, but then you tell him, "Well, I thought there was a possibility, but we never talked about it, so I wasn't sure. The guy was just a one-time slip, I don't usually get involved with idiots like that." Wrecker sighs again and says, "I don't have much experience with relationships and how to get them rolling. When the Republic still existed, I wasn't allowed to do anything like that, so everything always happened without ties, without promises and such. Maybe that's why I didn't say the right words, didn't do the right things to make you feel like I only wanted you and hoped it would be the other way around". You look at him with a soft little smile and say, "I'm very happy to hear that Wrecker. Believe me, I really didn't mean to hurt you. I just wasn't sure where I stood." Wrecker says softly, "I'd really like you and me to be together, you know, exclusively." Wrecker knows that everything isn't always black and white, and he's looking forward to exploring with you what exactly you want from a relationship together. He won't give up that quickly.

Tech

He is completely flabbergasted at the first moment. Then he's very angry, disappointed, scared and insecure. Tech is annoyed with the guy, but also with you. He wants to hurt this guy, but instead of seeking confrontation, he wants to talk to you first, see what's up with this. When you confirm the veracity of the story, Tech is blindsided. "You can't be serious," he says quietly. "I... yes, I am, unfortunately." Tech falls silent for a very long, uncomfortable moment. You say carefully, "Somehow, I didn't get the feeling you wanted to be serious. In front of other people, you always treated me like a buddy, not a loved one." Suddenly breaking the silence, he sounds half upset, half sad. "Because I'm... shy and think that such things are private. I thought we both had something special. We've shared intimate closeness, several times. Something I couldn't imagine at all before. I've opened up to you, made myself vulnerable." You blink and at first you don't know what to say, of course you're sorry for upsetting him like that.

Quietly, disappointedly, he adds, "I feel like you've trampled on my trust and danced all over it." "A very flowery metaphor," you say softly. He glares at you angrily. Tech will back off, tell you to stay away from him from now on, he won't listen to any reasonable words. But it won't be two days before he's trailing after you again, talking about a second chance. If you go for it, get ready for Tech to be very controlling and jealous from now on. This will eventually subside to some degree, but it will take a long time. Tech feels deeply, so he is also very sensitive, but also passionate. With a little effort and patience, you'll smooth it out.

Crosshair

After breaking the nose and fingers of the guy who just told him about a hot night with you ("These hands will never touch my girl again, is that clear?!"), he makes his way to you. Crosshair growls your name as he walks into the room, and a chill immediately runs down your spine. You know even before you turn around and look at him that he's pissed. You slowly turn and look at him out of wide eyes. His gaze literally cuts into yours. "I guess I'm not enough for you", he growls. You blink. "What?" "Fucking around?" Your mouth drops open, and you stare at him, stunned. "Excuse me?" Crosshair murmurs, "The night after the party you went to last weekend." A light slowly dawns on you. "Oh."

For one thing, you didn't really expect him to find out about it, and besides, you weren't even thinking about the guy anymore. "That's all you have to say, just an oh?" You cross your arms in front of your chest and say, "Since when are we exclusive?" He pushes you up against the table behind you and growls, "Since the first damn day! Did you want a contract, maybe? Or a written invitation to a relationship?" You shrug, but at the same time your thighs part almost automatically, leaving him between them as he presses closer to you. "You could have just said you wanted a relationship," you say meekly. "Kitten," Crosshair says seriously, "We've been intimate several times, we've dated, I didn't think I needed to explain." You snort and at the same moment his hand grabs your chin. "I want you to be mine and mine alone". You can barely avoid his intense gaze. Crosshair, kisses your neck, up to your ear and whispers to you, "How many times do you want me to fuck you to satisfy your hunger?" He will be more vigilant from now on, but he will not control you. However, if you ever become intimate with someone else again, he will clearly break up with you, and no amount of begging will ever soften him. The first time, it was still a case of giving the defendant the benefit of the doubt, he won't let it slip a second time, at all.

I don't mean to talk out of my ass, and am saying nothing about how alcoholism works in the real world, but when it comes to the fictional world of the show I really don't think they ever meant to imply Dean has a dependency issue when it comes to alcohol. I think what the show is actually doing is using short hand for either "Dean is in a bad mental state and self medicating" or, separately and not related to that, is using alcohol as a glamorized "cowboy who can put away his liquor" shorthand. For contrast, I'm watching House right now and (regardless of if it does a good job depicting addiction, which I feel absolutely unqualified to comment on) it does want the audience to understand that House is an addict.

I think the issue is there is a lot of room to bring your own personal experiences with alcohol to interpreting the show, and obviously if those have been bad it's easy to apply that to Dean, who does drink frequently in show. As do Sam, Cas, Bobby, Rufus, Ellen, etc. I don't know why people focus in on Dean specifically, though.

I think the funniest thing about this disk horse (which I consider to be over btw—using this as a springboard for closing thoughts) is that I never said at any point that Dean has never abused alcohol. I didn't even say there's no point in the show at which he can be described as an alcoholic (Dean describes himself as one in 10.12 "About A Boy"). I didn't even say I would never believe that Dean has ever driven drunk ever in his entire life, or that headcanoning that Dean has driven drunk before at some point is somehow some horrible evil thing.

All I did was respond to mail asking me if I remembered times in the actual show where Dean was shown drunk driving, because my anon heard a claim that it is shown to us "All of the time" in the actual show, and didn't remember that, and they were looking for someone with a more recent memory who could corroborate. So I said I don't remember that happening explicitly in the show either, and invited people to provide examples if they remembered an example.

I think if the show wanted to say Dean is a frequent drunk driver— specifically—the show would show me Dean being a drunk driver. It wasn't a problem for the show to quite overtly show me Sam driving drunk in 4.09—it wasn't something they shied away from showing. If (to your point—which you are absolutely right about) alcohol is used as a signal of our characters current mental states (Bobby in 4.01, Sam in 4.09, Cas in 5.17, Dean in 10.22, etc) then there's no reason the show would refuse to simply show me Dean being a frequent drunk driver. I'd be happy to explore it if I thought frequent drunk driving was a genuine facet of Dean's character. I just don't think it is, because the show doesn't show me that. And people can say all day long that "Dean drinks a lot" + "Dean has a car and is often in the drivers seat" = "Dean is a frequent drunk driver" until they're blue in the face. I am still holding out my hand, palm up, waiting for an actual example instead of whiney voices crying and whining insisting it simply HAS to be true because they think it should be.

I think you're right at the end of the day that the show isn't worried about Dean being an alcoholic as much as the show uses upticks in each character's drinking to indicate they're going through something—you're 100% right there. I also understand and respect that some people legitimately—with well-meaning intent—want to explore Dean's relationship to alcohol, because it's absolutely in theme imo and I think there's more attention ultimately put on it with Dean than any other character (though this is not true up to season 4 in my current rewatch). I just can't say I'm sitting here wringing my hands over Dean's relationship with alcohol in the actual canon of the actual show. I'm just not. The fact is, our characters have extremely limited options in terms of coping tools, and have trauma more extensive in breadth and length and diversity than anyone in real life has experienced ever, and are almost perpetually existing in a war zone. The fact that they self-medicate in various ways in order to cope isn't remotely surprising and I don't think there's anything shameful and evil about it either especially given their circumstances and utter lack of options. I just also... don't think Dean is a frequent drunk driver.

I have some theories I want to share: I'm not sure if you've talked about this before, but I've always been interested in Tobias and Alice's relationship because we heard/know so little. All we know is that she was the love of his life (stated in tbh). I think their relationship is definitely going to come up in the Prague story because, tbh scene where Tobias talks about Alice makes it seem like he knew or at least suspected her survival of whatever killed her (saving Alice's opinion/judgment of the boys when they're ready/done. It could either be interpreted as him knowing alice so well he knew what she would say or he was literally going to save her judgment for another time). Because it's Tobias, the comment about saving Alice's opinions for when the boys are ready/worthy, her cause of death never being explicitly stated (It just said the grief of losing toby had something to do with it in thl. WAS THAT ONE OF YHE CLUES JLB SAID SHE HID IN THL?!), and the fact that he knew toby was alive, I think Tobias had known about Alice or helped her disappear. Btw I lowkey think Nan knows because it's her daughter. This probably didn't happen, but It'd be so interesting if toby and Alice had crossed paths while he was on the run.

Yes, there's a lot we don't know about Tobias and Alice's relationship – and I definitely feel like it'll be addressed in Games Untold (Prague story like you said) since there were hints regarding Alice & Prague (they seem to be connected) in TBH. Also, there's a pearl necklace on the cover of Games Untold which I believe refers to Alice Hawthorne since in TBH, it was mentioned that the proof which Jameson passed to the Proprietor to prove his secret was a pearl containing poison.

Regarding Tobias' words, yes, I found that a bit sketchy. We know that Tobias knew that Toby never really died, so there's a chance that Alice knew too (which means that her "cause of death" mentioned in THL doesn't add up). MAYBE IT IS A CLUE! I'm not sure about Nan but I do know that Nan knows more than she lets on. It's possible!

Personally, after reading the snippets of thoughts Jameson had regarding Prague, I had a feeling that Alice wanted nothing more to do with the Hawthorne family (SOMEHOW). I know this sounds really bad and I admit that I'm missing A LOT of the important pieces but that's kind of like the vibe I'm getting (anyone who has a different view on this, please lmk bc I feel so bad writing this abt Alice 😵‍💫).

In TBH, it's mentioned that whoever Jameson saw in Prague (presumably Alice) told him that "there are ways to take care of problems" and (if it was Alice) she gave him a warning in the form of the pocket watch containing the pearl filled with poison. I'm guessing that she told Jameson not to tell anyone that she was alive (hence, the frequent mentions of a secret he couldn't tell his brothers and even Avery) and if he ever did, she'd be taking care of the problem by getting rid of whoever else knew (circle back to the poison). It was also mentioned that the poison was undetectable, untraceable, so it could hint towards getting rid of someone without the world knowing.

Tobias also mentioned (to Gray and Jamie) that "if she is the one, she will destroy you". Alice was that person for Tobias. And maybe "destroy you" means destroy Tobias' legacy??? Why would Tobias even say that if Alice didn't somehow destroy him in a way? (I'm reaching too far here 😭) but in summary, there's a lot of mystery surrounding Alice Hawthorne and I hope we can resolve it in the next few books.

The sun was setting as you and Brook sat on top of your favourite treehouse at the edge of a meadow. At 8'9", Brook was tall and slim, with white bones that gleamed in the fading light. Because of his height, it didn't matter if you were short or tall, he'd have been way taller than you either way.

Despite the height difference, the two of you had managed to make the relationship work. But that wasn't the most difficult part of being a boyfriend and girlfriend: as a living skeleton, Brook felt like he couldn't give you what a "normal, alive man" could have given to you, like warm hugs and kisses.

You could sense that today Brook was not feeling as happy as always, he didn't tell you even one skull joke of his during the day. As you were sitting next to him admiring the sun setting on the mountains in front of you, the question that was wandering in your head slipped out of your mouth.

"What's on your mind, Brook?" you asked with a smile. He was looking down, not enjoying the view nor looking at you. "Am I enough, Y/N?" he asked. "What do you mean?" you tilted your head.

"Y/N… you should know exactly what I mean. A man in flash and bones could give you more than I, a man in just bones, can give you." That wasn't one of his skully jokes, he was so damn serious about that.

After all, he was right: the differences between him and a normal human being were evident, but you didn't care. Brook was something else, being different from the others wasn't a problem for you, since it was his uniqueness that dragged you to him that much.

His way of laughing, his silly behaviours, but also how much of a protective boyfriend he was towards his partner were undeniable facts of how sweet Brook was. When he revealed to you his past story about his crew and how he lost every single one of them you felt so touched by his past, making you realize that it didn't matter if he was just bones. His heart was pure and you didn't want to love anyone else but him.

Smiling a bit, you took his hand in yours, making him look at you in the eyes (it's an expression, he doesn't have them). Then he looked down at your hands, palm to palm against his.

"Your hands are so tiny compared to mine!" Brook exclaimed. He watched as your fingers wrapped around just one of his, making the size difference even more noticeable now.

You chuckled, "It's true, your hands are huge compared to mine. But they're always so gentle, and I love the way you can hold me so securely."

Brook smiled, "I love holding you too. And I love comparing our hand sizes. It just reminds me of how much our differences don't matter.".

As he said that, your smile became bigger. "That's exactly what I was thinking. Differences don't matter between us, I don't care if you're "a man in just bones" as you said, this is all that matters to me." you pointed at his chest, as to indicate his heart.

"How sweet, but I don't even have a heart, yohohoho!" you chuckled with him, that contagious laugh of his was everything you needed, seeing him happy was the thing that made you fall in love with him first. Now he was smiling again, as he regained his usual mood back knowing that you loved him no matter your differences, his hand still holding yours.

"Y/N?" Brook asked looking at you. "What is it?" you asked curiously. "May I see your panties now?". You laughed, you loved that silly and bit of a pervy man with all your heart.
