I was wondering if I could request a ps4 fic, maybe Peter and reader have been dating for a while, and she gets hurt during the explosion and he can’t find her but she’s with may at feast with like a broken arm or something?? (She knows he’s Spider-Man) 👀🫶🏼

hey lol thanks for requesting! I'm on the first playthrough of the game myself. Basically this is set during the explosion at the election event in the game, and Peter and you are there to proudly watch Officer Davis accept his award.

"Hey." Peter comes up from behind you on the sidewalk, fixing wrinkles in his civilian clothes. He must've just changed.

"Hey, Parker." You nudge him. "Ready to go watch Osborn smooch up to the well-meaning audience of Manhattan?"

"Well, ready as I'll ever be." Peter takes your hand. "I'm really just there to watch Davis get his well-deserving award, y'know. Hey, didn't I tell you to stop calling me Parker?"

"Meh, you love it." You joke. "You'll always be Parker to me, even if you are my boyfriend now. It's our thing."

Peter shakes his head, but you know based on his little smile- he loves that you have a little thing just for him.

Together, you walk to the intersection in front of City Hall, where many people crowd around, waiting for Mayor Osborn and whatever speech he's about to give today. They're all dressed in Osborn themed merchandise, cheering and clapping.

You can't believe this many people care about Osborn's so-called promises to the city- you and Peter are really hoping he won't be re-elected this term after all- but people are clapping for him, and you sigh knowing that your cost of living is about to go up.

"Hey. Wipe that frown off your face. We're here to be supportive." Peter whispers from next to you in the crowd, and you nod.

"Where's Davis? Is that him?" You whisper back, pointing to an older black man up on the stage.

"Yup. You wouldn't believe it, he was so helpful in Hell's Kitchen. Dude whipped out his gun and had my back like we've been best buds for years." Peter smiles. "There's not many out there doing it like him."

"He sounds like a real treasure. I'm glad you have someone on your side." You squeeze Peter's hand, and continue to look up towards the stage in mild excitement.

You don't really care for Osborn's speech- Peter laughs about his promise to open up technology for NYC when you both know that's reserved for the elite- but you both grin when Davis, looking nervous as ever, walks up the stage to receive his award.

"It is my privilege to present Officer Jefferson Davis with the Department Medal of Honour." Osborn hangs a medal around Davis' neck, and you and Peter clap.

"I'm so glad this is all over. The gang war, I think." Peter whispers to you, and you raise your eyebrows.

"Really? Does this mean you'll finally be a little safer?" You ask, but Peter frowns a little.

"Well, there's some loose ends still to be tied up, but-"

"Loose ends?" You give him a wary glance. "Like what?"

"Like whatever 'Consolidated Shipping' is. It doesn't make sense." Peter sighs, watching concern grow on your face. "It's not right, but I'll figure it out."

Davis says a few words- he thanks his wife and his son, Miles, who you can see is sitting up at the front of the stage.

"Aw, cute kid." You remark to Peter, and he nods, gaining a slightly sheepish smile.

"Officer Davis did say I remind him of his son. I'll take it as a compliment." Peter jokes, and you snicker, calling him even more of a baby.

Behind you, Sable guards are talking on their walkie talkies about "keeping eyes on Osborn," which to you sounds as if they perceive a threat. You turn back to tell Peter, when he suddenly flinches.

"Peter-?"

He grabs his head, panicking- you watch as his pupils dilate, and he's clearly in some kind of shock.

"Everything feels off-" Peter flinches again, and you know he's having a Spider-Sense meltdown. There must be multiple things happening at once- even worse, you're not sure what he's supposed to do in this situation. He's not suited up, and he risks revealing his identity if he does anything.

Either way, Peter runs behind you. He shoves people out of the way, trying to get to the back of the event, behind the audience, but he's not fast enough. There are men arriving out of cars- corrupted men, turning that strange grey-blue-transparent hue that confirms their connection with Martin Li.

Peter runs- he dashes- but you see him flinch again, cowering under such threatening energy. He turns to the stage in horror, and you gasp in shock.

There's another corrupted on stage, covered in explosive devices.

An explosion goes off behind you, to the right of you, than another massive one on stage- the ground shakes beneath you, and you're too in shock to move.

"Get down!" Peter shoves you back, attempting to push you out of the way, just as another two explosions cause the earth under you to rattle, and you lose your footing and fall back on the pavement. You twist your arm unnaturally and hit your head.

You black out, the last thing you see being massive blue-black explosions in the sky.

Peter wakes to floating ash in the sky.

He coughs- there's a sharp pain in his right side, and a slight ache at the top of his hairline- he touches his forehead and pulls his fingers away to see brown-red, dry blood.

It doesn't matter. He'll heal faster than most, anyways- he needs to locate you.

He gets up, seizes a little due to the pain- and to his alarm, you're nowhere in his near sight. He walks around seeing Sable guards help people off the streets- although Peter really thinks they're poking and prodding and shoving them away, so they can clean up the mess around here.

He hopes you haven't been taken away by Sable guards.

Peter rushes to the nearest clinic- but there's too many people crowding around there with their injuries, and the receptionist at the emergency room tells him there's no one by your name here.

He begins to panic. You're not responding to his calls, either. Peter doesn't want to believe the worst could've happened to you, but he does hear people talking on the streets about the casualties. Apparently at least 10 people have been found dead so far- Peter starts swearing under his breath.

He decides to head to FEAST- he's not sure if you'll be there, but it's better to ask Aunt May or some of the volunteers if you've been seen. FEAST also operates as an emergency medical clinic, too, even with limited supplies, and it's with this small amount of hope that Peter travels there.

Pushing through the doors, the front desk woman- Amanda- she's startled by how intensely Peter asks about you.

"I don't know, Peter." She points to the main auditorium, where many homeless and injured people are currently being attended to. "It's kind of an open house back here- you're going to have to look through the crowds."

Peter sighs. "Thanks, Amanda."

It takes him about fifteen minutes to do a full, quick walkthrough. The entire time, his heartbeat thumps faster as he realizes- he's not seeing you anywhere. There's nobody wearing your trademark scarf, your usual dark blue jeans- nobody with your fastidious expression, where you always seem to take in the entire world before speaking- nobody to relieve the steady ache in his heart.

Peter walks into the room full of medical supplies, expecting to see Aunt May- and while May is there, busy with another volunteer, the first thing he sees is you, with your hair all disheveled and messy, bruises on your cheek and a cut under your lip, and your arm wrapped in a cast and a sling.

But you have a soft, comforting smile. You're kneeling down to help a little girl- she can't be older than five- and you're placing a bandage on her knee. And the little girl squeals, hugging you after you say "It's all better now."

Peter would agree with that.

You look up, arms still embraced around the little girl- Rina is her name- to see Peter, looking wistful, sad, a clear lump in his throat. His eyes are watery.

"Peter?" You watch as he comes forward.

"I thought you were- I thought..." He wipes his eyes. "Are you okay? What happened?"

"Well, Little Rina over here needed a little bit of medical attention." You kindly tap her shoulder and she nods up at Peter, smiling. "She tripped and fell and no one was paying attention to her knee, so I decided to help her."

"That's..." Peter trails off, wondering how you could be so selfless when your own face was looking a bit worse for wear. "That's sweet of you to do. How do you feel, kiddo?"

He kneels towards her, and she grins really big. "Better!"

"Alright, high five then." Peter high fives her, and she dashes off afterwards, most likely looking for the parent she came with.

"Why didn't you respond to my calls?" Peter asks you as soon as you turn back to him. "I thought... I thought the worst had happened-"

"Peter, please. Stop with the wounded ego." May calls him out, listening from the sidelines. "What's important is that she's safe and in one piece- that's more than enough to feel grateful about."

Peter looks down, ashamed. He knows May is right, and he has to swallow his pride for a moment.

"I'm sorry, Peter." You grasp his hand, and he looks back at you, jaw tight as he listens. "I didn't mean to not answer your calls- my phone got shattered. And I didn't know where to find you after I woke up- I was already being taken away by Sable guards to 'safety' and then I decided my best chance to find you was over here."

"Oh." Peter feels kind of dumb, but he also feels glad you think of FEAST as a spot to find him. "I should've kept you safe."

"Don't. Don't make yourself crazy with what you could've done." You plead with him, and he sighs but shakes his head. "My arm will heal with time. I guess I landed on it weirdly and broke it."

Peter winces. "Well, you can always ask me for help if it bothers you. I'm there for you."

He traces your lip, where the cut under is still a red-brown, harsh hue in comparison to the pink of your bottom lip, and May takes this as her cue to leave.

Peter snorts. "I wish you had my-"

"Super healing? Yeah, I wish that too." You laugh. "Were you lucky enough to not get hit, or did you just heal on the way here?"

Peter's reaching for a facial bandage and some rubbing alcohol. "The latter."

"Ugh, lucky bastard." You smile up at him, cringing only slightly as Peter rubs away the blood from your wound. "I'm just glad that means I don't have to worry too much about you."

"You still do." Peter remarks, placing the bandage on your face. "But that just means you love me."

And, being ever so thankful that you're safely back in his arms, Peter places a soft kiss on your forehead, and then a slightly-less-soft one on your mouth, hoping it doesn't hurt you, but happy that you kiss him back anyways.

'what, peter?' the sooner you aknowlege him, the sooner he goes away.

'i miss you.' it's not the first time he's said it, but he said it with such sincerity you look up at him. 'i know i really fucked it up and you don't owe anything to me, but, is it over? like, really over?'

you don't understand the question, you've been broken up for weeks. doesn't that show how over it really is?

'if you want this guy, if you really want to move on and forget me, i need to know. because if there is even a fraction of you, that'd be willing to give me another chance, i won't stop fighting for you.'

your eyebrow quirks, 'are you telling me who i can and can't hang out with?' peter shakes his head, 'never. i just won't move on until you tell me i have to.'

the idea makes you queasy, picturing him with another girl makes you want to vomit all over the table. a shred of sympathy sparks, is that how he feels? like a thousand daggers cutting into him? you can't handle it, rushing to pack up your things, you ignore his question.

'trouble?' you shake your head, you need to leave, you feel an urge to cry. tears kiss the corners of your eyes, you can't be around him a second longer. 'okay, um, see you...' peter's talking to your back. '... later.'

for the first time, in three weeks, you showed up at his frat party alone. after you ran off on him a few days ago, peter assumed he had his answer. but, maybe he should just double check. just in case.

'where's your boy?' for a second, peter wonders if you're about to kiss him. you have such a focus on his face he thinks he’s feeling bashful. ‘i kicked him to the curb.’

peter felt every muscle in him relax, he didn’t realize how tense he was before. he sets his beer down and prays it means what he thinks. ‘why? what’d he do?’

‘nothing. it’s just that the thought of you with another girl made me feel like eating glass. i imagined that’s how you felt. take that as you will.’

a smile spreads, it means what he thinks.

‘so, i have a chance?’

you steal his beer, he doesn’t mind one bit. ‘take that as you will.’

‘so, i can full force, throw myself at you? and you won’t get annoyed?’

‘if that’s what you want to do.’

peter bravely pulls at your hip, it’s the first real touch since you called it off. ‘i want to. i’ve done nothing but want to. i just don’t want to make you uncomfortable if you already have your mind made up on something else.’

‘things have changed, peter. it can’t go back to how it was.’

it’s everything he ever wanted to hear, a second chance, the hope to fix it. and all he had to do was question if he should move on.

I'm considering the idea of a yandere cheater in spiderverse. All after reading your Miles G, I confess. Miguel was the first wave, but Hobie and Miles G, hit like a tsunami behind.

I don't ask you to write it. Just babbling about my favs... although there's also Aaron, Peter B, Noir,... I love everyone.

But, but in your yandere expert opinion, who would have the toughest nerve to become a cheater and on top of that, being a yandere about reader? From all the charas into and across the spiderverse.

In my "expert" Yandere knowledge (jk 🤣jk🤣) I'd say that 90% of the Spiderverse cast could be "cheater" if they couldn't physically be with the reader. Or if they thought that they don't deserve the reader.

1610-Miles: would never cheat, he'd just sit around mopping and dreaming about the reader. He'd also never really think about not "deserving" the reader. He's a really lonely boy and would latch onto his crush no matter what. He'd also fully believe that he was a better match for them than anyone else. He's also confident enough that he's sure he could protect them against anything.

Pavitr Prabhakar: Would also never cheat. When he's in love he becomes devoted to said person and would do anything for them. Cares for them too much to ever be with anyone else. Also if that person is in love with someone else then he would respect their choice and bottle up his emotions. Laching onto the hope that one day the reader would realize they love him more than their current partner. He's practically the walking embodiment of "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift.

Gwen Stacy: Gwen might cheat on the reader if she's trying to distance herself from them. Make them hate her so they leave. But really it's just to protect them, she's fully convinced that she's cursed. Anyone who get's too close to her ends up hurt. So she'll make them leave. Also if her lover is in another dimension then she might go for a relationship in her own dimension just to distract herself from them.

Hobie Brown: Wouldn't mean to cheat. But he might get tempted into having an affair. Nothing serious just something casual. But he tries to keep it a secret from his one true love. Also if Hobie did end up kidnapping the reader and locking them up somewhere then he may have another relationship with someone else. But that person is like a substitute for the reader. He pretends that they are her and that He and the reader are a real couple, but it's actually the other person. Until he can trust the reader enough to take them outside. Does this make sense? I feel like it doesn't make sense.

42- Miles: Will have some causal flings here and there to get their mind off the reader. But also watches them through their window each night. Like he's obsessed but too prideful to fully admit it. If he does kidnap the reader and sees that she's being incompliant. He'll try to make her jealous by going out on cute dates with some other girl. Then showing her pictures. Show her how easily replaceable she is. He'll obviously break her mind until she's begging him not to go out, not to leave her alone. Why is it that every time I write anything for this guy it gets real dark, real quick?

Miguel O'Hara: YES!! THIS MAN IS NOT EMOTIONALLY STABLE. Like he might just make an AI of his lover, talk to her, program her to love him, and convince himself that this is his real lover. If his lover is in another dimension then maybe he'll date someone with certain similar characteristics to her but then kinda get distracted by his duties. He'll just go back lovingly looking at them through a screen.

Peter B: He might get drunk and cheat by accident. But I think that's more something he would have done in the first movie. If the reader is MayDay's mother then no way he's cheating.

Spider Noir: He's too old-fashioned to cheat. He'll treat his lover like a princess. I can't really see him doing anything like that.

Aaron: He might cheat on the reader if he loves her enough. Like his life as the Prowler is dangerous, he knows this. So he'll distract himself with other people as apposed to getting mixed up with the reader and risking their life.

As for me: (I'll do kiss, marry, kill)

MARRY: MIGUEL O'HARA. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN. He means everything to me😍😍. I just want to be his cute little housewife. Someone he can look forward to coming home to. Plus I'd also try to help him out with his whole Spiderman thing.

Four ways to become an Avatar:

1. Being chosen by an already existing Avatar: This is how majority of Avatars become Avatars, even Jon went down this path (that's right Mr. Sims, you're not special 😂 - I'm sure he's relieved about that).

2. Becoming an Avatar without connections - This one is harder an often involves a Leitner book. Often involves a search for power. Eventually these Avatars will get connections or meet another Avatar to help them along or they'll die fast.

3. Getting chosen by the Entity - Very very rare. Almost never happens. Entities are worse at communication than your toxic Ex.

4. Getting born FOR an Entity - The rarest one. You would think getting born the personified version of an Entity would come with lots of benefits (and it often does because these people are often more powerful than any other Avatar - Agnes and Peter), yet for some reason I think these guys are worst Avatars in general. 😭💀 It's not like they're bad at their job, they are very good at burning and making people lonely, but that's also the only thing they know how to do. 😭😭 Outside of their field they are lost (Agnes even had an identity crisis when she couldn't burn things anymore). I don't know how to explain it but they're really pathetic at manipulation as well. 😭🤣💔 They also seem to have an identity crisis when they get into complicated situationships.

Something that I'd like to talk about today, is about this scene on Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

It's not something super big, but I find it amazing.

So do you guys remember when Harry is showing up Emily-May foundation to Peter, right?

When they were talking with Dr. Young, they are like this

Nothing weird, totally normal distance. And actually you don't see Harry unless you move the camera at certain angles. But then, Dr. Young asks Peter to use the bees robot thing. And I guess that this is something that we are not supposed to see, but look at them!

One head-canon I've always had about Spider-Verse (ATSV)

Intro:

It comes from my only "dislike" - cause it's not a big deal - about the movie. Which is the weird idea that every Spider-Person is on board with the plan to let canon events take place.

Granted, the assurance that the Universe is dying because of it is quite the deterrent, however many agree it is the only thing that feels "off" for the characters.

I'm absolutely on board with the idea that Miles can remind everyone what's up, and I'd love that for him, but that still doesn't answer how everyone got there.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone already said this, but I didn't look, soooooo it is technically an original thought of mine... That I've had since the movie came out but never shared, so better late than never I guess.

- Actual Theory:

I think that the Spider Society recruits are all fresh after a big canon event - or maybe most are - probably not on purpose, but it has indirectly helped the cause and reduced resistance after the exposition dumb about their multiverse.

Gwen was recruited after one, and although it wasn't through a malicious way, it technically did happen to line up.

Spectacular Spider-Man, who for many is a perfect Spidey, also shares the Society's goals, which as seen in lots of fan art, sits oddly with people. What if he also just went through a Canon Event?

Peter B. Parker being an older more experienced Spidey could simply agree out of weariness, but I don't disregard the possibility of something happening to him either.

When Miles insists that Spider-Man always does both and Peter replies with "not always", I could see it also come from a recent scar, even if the scene is clearly referring to his monumental existing experiences.

"If it wasn't for Uncle Ben most of us wouldn't be here".

Maybe so, but that just sounds like an excuse at that point. One than in most Spider media would be pointed out, even if the statement is correct and valid.

- Counter Argument:

I don't think having this confirmed is necessary for the story, especially given that on its own, it's already a good exploration of grief and pain persisting even after the immediate shock has passed. As well as a lovely challenge to the Spider-Mythos.

They deal with monumental amounts of trauma, it's okay if they feel comfort in understanding a shared pain and even in the idea that by - in this case - inaction, the sacrifice of one cop, one father figure, one uncle, one aunt, one friend, one lover... Is vital to the safety of a whole Universe.

Now that makes their deaths feel like they weren't for nothing huh?

Eating like my BF Challenge

(A fun couples trend where significant others try to eat the same pace as their partners)

Miles set up his Smartphone's camera on him and Hobie with their own trays of Burger and fries, they decided to order burgers from HQ. The punker sat next to Miles having their trays showing off their burgers, fries and drinks.

The young Black latino remove his Spider-man mask having his Smartphone on live, he types on the live with a simple comment. "Eating like my BF Challenge 😝"

Hobie looks at the live, "You doin' a live?" He holds his Triple patty burger.

"Mmhhmm, is that okay, bae?" Miles asked with his eyes on his boyfriend, he quickly got a hold of his burger having to glance at him and copy.

"Yeah, luv. I know, you rarely do dis." He mutter as he holds his burger then glance at his boyfriend, "Luv, I noticed you order a Triple patty burger?"

"Yeah, I'm hungry!" Miles play it off, he normally eat a Double patty burger. If he's still hungry, he'll order another one, but the burger his boyfriend gets is massive and got everything even bacon. "This is big."

Hobie chuckles at the comment, "Oh yeh? Not as big as mine." He playfully smirks at his flustered boyfriend.

Miles' live went crazy with comments.

Gwen commented: DAT WHAT SHE SAID! 🤣

Gabi: I don't get it... 🧐

Lupe: Gabi ask your dad. Let see if he gets it. 🫣

Miles giggles at the comment until he saw his boyfriend taking a big bite of his own burger, then quickly taking his own big bite. The punker's mouth chews twice until he went into another big bite, which made Miles' eye widen then copy again.

This time Miles mouth was full trying to chew the same way like his boyfriend. Hobie seems to be daydreaming as he eat, because he wasn't paying attention to Miles, and staring off into the distant. He grab a yellow pickled pepper to bite the tip then squish the juice onto his burger.

His boyfriend copies him while chewing his food. Then Hobie took another big bite of his burger and shove three french fries into his mouth, which Miles struggle to do.

The live were cracking up by the way Miles look like he was struggling to eat as fast as Hobie. They saw the way Hobie was able to take two bites and swallow while Miles kept trying to chew fast to swallow the clumps of food in his mouth. Then he saw Hobie taking a sip of soda, then grab four french fries dipping them in ketchup before shoving in mouth and biting the biten pepper. He chews once then take a big bite of his burger, again.

Miles struggles to copy, as he chews fast to swallow and take another big bite. His right leg shakes trying to focus on catching up to his Hobie, he shook his head. Have his boyfriend always been a fast eater? That explains why he eats a lot, the punker doesn't chew enough to let his stomach rest. Either way his boyfriend metabolisms is crazy, he always remain fit and skinny.

The live comment section kept commenting:

Gwen: Damn, I never realize Hobie was a fast eater 😅 Did he skip breakfast?

Pavtri: For real! 😳 Miles is struggling! 🤣🤣🤣

Kaine: Yo, tell him to slow down! Shit gonna make you choke!

Gabi: Lupe! My dad wants to talk to you!

Jess: See! Now looks who's in trouble.

Noir enters live: What is going on? Why Miles look like he's questioning life choices?

The couple were eating, Hobie mutters as he glances at his partner, "Luv, your eating pretty fast?"

"Hmph?" Miles quickly turns to fast his boyfriend. He finally was able to swallow his food in his mouth to talk, "I'm just... you know, hungry. What about you?"

"I'm starving, Sunflower." Hobie took another big bite.

Miles copies him with a nod. "When did you last eat?"

"Hah! This mornin' had beans on toast, but I'm always hungry." Hobie chews twice and swallows then he grabs five fries to shove into his mouth and bite his burger as he chews, "I think I'ma order another one. This isn't enough."

Miles quickly did the same thing and tries to maintain his chuckles, "Bae, have you always ate this much?"

"No, not really. Then again," Hobie look at the Smartphone with a charming grin as he chews, "A lil lore about me, I use to be a squatter and rarely ate. Cigarettes and alcohol always keep me full. Now, that I'm in a better place with mi life. I eat often and smoke less." He finished up his burger.

Then Miles pouts at his boyfriend, "Awe, bae." He knew his mother gave him meals to eat for a week. Then he tries to do the big bite but couldn't, his boyfriend eyed him with shock. That made Miles snicker as he takes a small bite.

Miles snickers as he chews, playing innocent, "What?"

"You shouldn't force yer self." Hobie finished Miles' half of the burger. "Triple patty is a lot."

"You gonna order another one?"

"Yup!"

Miles nibbles on his fry with ketchup, "It was a good burger, but I think next time I'll stick to a double patty and chew more..." He glances at his man. "You ate so fast."

"I got use to eating fast since we're Spider-men. Always gotta be ready for anything." Hobie hums.

Miles kisses his boyfriend's cheek, and snuggles him as the live went on. "Gwen said you eat like a vacuum." He giggles.

Hobie snorted, "And she eats like sprog! Always got food on her face." That made the live comments go wild with Gwen responding while Pavtri laughing.

How much I want more fanfiction where Theo is kind of adopted by Derek and Peter. They're perfect for mentors because they weren't perfectly good themselves like Melissa or the sheriff. In general, I love works where the topic of how adults realize and accept Theo is revealed. If you have such works in mind, share them, maybe I haven't read them yet.

Alondra, I loved the Thanksgiving Nonviolent Communication Drabble!! This was just so sweet to read, especially with seeing Miguel and readers' friendship really show now that they’re starting to feel more comfortable being with one another. The fact they have dinner every Saturday now!! 🥹 and when Miguel can’t help but smile when he sees reader working with him 😭 and when he blushes a bit when reader compliments him and his cooking! its just too cute!! I can't help but say thank you every time you include the coffee cup detail, I just smile so much when I read it! The whole interaction of them trying to ask each other to have dinner with one another for Thanksgiving??!! I was giggling so much reading that, too cute! and Lyla just absolutely helping with the conversation 😂 I love how their conversations have also gotten more causal, in the way that they banter more, Miguel smiling more!! I also just love their friendship!!

The messages with the gang was so cute too, and omg this line “The whole government name...” from Hobie when Miguel finally responds 🤣 but the fact Miguel was actually open to invite everyone over for dinner too 🥹 I love how we're seeing him open up a bit more now that he's really trying to change for the better, and its just so nice seeing it come into fruition slowly. I’m so happy that Miguel is making so many new wonderful memories in his penthouse!! I keep mentioning this but I smile so much every time they say “always” to each other, I’ll never get over it! ❤️

The conversation with Peter B- first I love the way you write him too, you capture his personality really well! and just- he knows that this friendship between you and Miguel is special 🥹 and I know he's rooting for them too!! ok and the reference to Lyla's secret stash of photos 😂 of course they're appropriate photos only, right? (I love how you write Lyla too! her little quips with Miguel is always funny!!) The ending of this was really sweet too, despite Miguel holding back still with physical touch, the day that one of them comforts the other physically- I'm going to freak out (in a good way) but I still love the slowburn of it all!! I can't wait to read more and see their friendship evolve!!! I hope this doesn’t sound too cheesy but I’m thankful for coming across your story on here and just- thank you everything, and for continuing to write Nonviolent Communication, especially with how busy it can be this time of year!! Hi @sunsetdoodler !! I'm so happy you loved the drabble!! I had a lot of fun writing this for different reasons, one being I just wanted a sweet and comforting moment for Thanksgiving with Miguel. Then it was also fun because it's very lighthearted compared to what I've been writing for part 11. On top of that, it was fun thinking about what their friendship looked like at this point of the year when part 11 takes place 4+ months before. Lowkey feel sad I didn't get part 11 out before then because now we'll have to jump back in time 😮‍💨 but AHH I loved the progress in their friendship and as you said, how much more casual their conversations are on top of the fact they have dinner every Saturday (I just love it so much!!). Also, Miguel throughout this entire drabble was SUCH A TREAT. I loved writing him looking at reader behind his shoulder and smiling; blushing when reader compliments him; and him cooking all of dinner (I also loved including that he had already bought everything 😭). And omg, the coffee cup detail!! I will include it as many times as I can because I love it even though it's such a small thing but so important!! Haha, the part with them talking in unison to ask each other about dinner and Lyla knowing what's going and just taking the opportunity to tease them- I had to!! I don't include Lyla a lot in the main parts but I wanted to for this and it was so much fun adding her teasing to the drabble (especially her clapping at the end for them and Miguel telling her to shut up!!

Also, the messages from the gang! I had so much fun with those! You can tell because I even went in and color coded them as much as I could with the colors Tumblr has to their assigned colors; my favorite one to do was Hobie's for the inconsistency! 🤣 The "full government name" line - the way I knew I needed to include that and have Hobie say it! Definitely one of my favorite things about this drabble, not gonna lie! I also love that Miguel found it amusing! Regarding Miguel being open to inviting them, SAME! Once again, it was fun to think of where Miguel is at months in advance (seriously, I'm upset I didn't put part 11 out sooner) and have him being open to inviting them to his home and making a new memory in his penthouse (I just want this man to feel happy in his own home, I swear 😭)! And their little "Always"! I've been feeling like maybe I'm including it too much but I love it so much because it's theirs, just for each other, so I'll just continue using it.

I'm so happy you liked Peter B's conversation and the way I wrote him! I was actually nervous about it because I haven't included much dialogue for the other spider members and I always like to keep it as close as possible to how I think they'd actually speak. So, I was literally writing that part yesterday and playing around with the structure of his statement to see what made sense while hearing Jake Johnson's voice in my head (I didn't mind it one bit because I love him but it was kind of funny I was sitting there writing this in between breaks while cooking with my family lol)! But yes, he knows it's a special friendship and he's definitely rooting for them (so is Mayday, hehe 😌)! As to Lyla's secret stash of photos - we can only hope but we're not too sure right now. Miguel has tried to look for the file but can't find it so I guess only time will tell 😂 but omg, no, writing Lyla for this drabble was so much fun, I swear! I wish I could include her more in the main series but most times reader and Miguel are having serious conversations and so it just doesn't feel right to include her sassiness but maybe now that reader and Miguel are more casual with each other, that might change! And thank you, it seriously makes me so happy that you like the way I wrote her and Peter B.!

Omg, Miguel thinking about physical touch and that whole little part just made me wish we were there already but we must remain strong! It's coming soon but not yet. I already have that part planned out and just thinking about it makes me want to scream in a good way because before we get to that good screaming part there's gonna be sad screaming and that's all I'm going to say about that but just know - reader and Miguel having intentional and full on physical contact is coming soon!!!

I like to think they still keep this kind of interaction but it's more friendly now especially with reader being what ties them together lol)! AND THEN MIGUEL IN AN APRON!!!! No because why does Miguel wearing an apron sound so comforting to me???? AND HIM DRYING HIS HANDS - I swear I'm delusional for going mad over the most basic things ever but AHHHH!! Though I have been writing the MC as if they came back in their age before they time traveled because it's easier (and well, time travel shenanigans lolol), but at the end of the day, it depends on the reader ☺️🌺

Flipping through journal "detergent, sour sanding sugar, milk, eggs & cauliflower. Got it.".

He loves them he really does, but sometimes he can't help thinking 'why are they like this?'.

My internet dropped out for a bit so sorry if I'm late with this! Also...card anon got my attention with that headcanon hehe.. Daily Hobie HC! I think he'd be all up for handmade gifts. Whether he's doing it for you, you for him, or perhaps both of you guys for the rest of the group. At first, it'd probably be pretty average. Just chatting about ideas and designs for whatever you guys are doing. What would suit who, perhaps even joking around about just saying 'screw it' and dumping specially colored glitter on them. However, this peace never lasts long because one of you always manages to start something. Whether it's you putting a sticker on Hobie's cheek, or him doing a little hand imprint of paint on your shirt (don't worry, it washes out), something will always manage to happen leaving both of you looking more like a crafted gift than the actual gifts. Maybe, Hobie possibly decides to just press a silly sticker onto your forehead, which in turn gets you to retaliate with showering him in glitter... Which results with you also being showered with glitter from him since Hobie will tackle you and rub the 'excess' glitter off onto you, as well as definitely stealing a kiss from you. Sometimes, you'll even draw/paint on his face, at the cheap price of 'decorating' his face with kiss marks before you draw/paint on his face. Afterwards, Hobie will come out with multicolored whiskers and a red triangle nose, with the background of your kisses all over his face, but hey, he'll absolutely own it. And sometimes, Hobie will do the exact same, putting on the reddest/most vibrant colored lipstick on and brutally murdering you with kisses as revenge for managing to make a ball of glitter and throwing it at him. The others never seem to ask any questions when both of you guys looked as if you went into Willy Wonka's factory but instead of chocolate it's bloody glitter... at least they appreciate the gifts though. You worked hard on not letting Hobie dousing them in hot pink and green glitter. Also, yes. I have made a glitter ball before and WHEN I SAY USE THEM AS A LAST RESORT... TAKE ME SERIOUSLY BECAUSE THOSE ARE DEADLY. Glitter balls contaminate your whole country if you're not careful... - 🐦‍⬛
