the kageyama parents don't seem super involved in their sons' lives, especially when it comes to psychic stuff, so like. that moment at the end of season one where ritsu unbends the spoons with his powers. do you think that was when their parents figured out ritsu was also psychic

Cuddle headcanons part 1 ft: Kaito, Leo, Taiga, Ritsu, and Haku(reupload)
The characters were picked from a wheel. I will be doing a couple parts of this.
Taiga is so hard to write for because of his memory stuff. I do believe that he could remember his S/O(he remembers Romeo but that may be because it's Romeo). But who knows.
Tumblr media
Kaito loves cuddles. It's just the time when he gets to relax and be with you.
He's really into spooning, specifically if it's you spooning him.
He probably begs for cuddles after classes
He also asks for them as a reward for finishing his homework
He lovessss wake up in your arms.
Sleepily pulls you back down into bed when you try to get up in the morning
You up to your alarm blaring, and a head on your chest. You reached over to turn it off, letting go the hug you had Kaito in. He grumbled. He reached for your hand when you turned off your alarm.
You sat up, ignoring the grabs Kaito had given you. Before you stood up, Kaito wrapped his arms around your waist.
“Don’t go,” he sleepily mumbled. You smiled at how cute he was all sleepy and clinging. You gave him a peck on the cheek.
“Kaito, we have to go to class.”
Tumblr media
Leo in my mind can go three ways: one, he’s actually pretty clingy. Second, that he does it to show off but isn't really into it. Or he does it to show off and he loves it.
His favorite type is laying on his back and having you on top of him, or at his side.
You guys watch tik tok videos on his phone.
Leo's a brat and would never ask for them, he'd just kinda take them.
Cuddling every night is a must or else Leo will be an even bigger brat then he already is.
“About time you showed up,” Leo said, as you walked into his dorm room. He was sitting on the edge of his bed, arms crossed and an angry pout on his face.
“Sorry, I got caught up by Jin. He wanted me to do something for him.” Leo was getting on his back when he tensed at the name. His angry look still in his face.
“Jin, huh?” He hissed.
You got up on his bed, and approached him. You planted a kiss on his lips before tugging at his cheeks. Then you settled onto his chest.
“What was that for? You’re the one who-”
“We are not start this.”
Tumblr media
Taiga doesn’t really mind cuddles. Scratch that, he loves it.
He really loves having you sit in his lap, especially during his gambling sessions.
He has a hand on your hip whenever that happens.
Though when you guys are in bed, he's usually wrapping his arms around you and pulling your back towards his chest.
He’ll sometimes get the urge to bite your neck.
“Oh Taiga, you’re gambling today?” You asked, approaching the table he was at. Several students are also present, playing a game against Taiga.
He didn’t greet you, instead he pulled you into his lap. He placed a hand on your hip, before he placed his cards down, winning the game. The other students groaned and whined in defeat before leaving the table.
“Aren’t you gonna challenge other students?” You questioned.
“Yeah, and you're coming with me.”
Tumblr media
Ritsu loves cuddles though he only does it at night.
The day time is his working time and it'd be improper to cuddle.
But when he’s not working, he’s enjoying time with you.
He loves to hold you as you bury your head in his chest.
Cuddles are rewards to him after a long day of work.
There are times where he'd rather cuddle with you than go to work.
You were laying on your bed in your dorm, when Ritsu made his way up the stairs. You greeted him as he approached you and laid down in your bed.
“Hello honey,” he greeted back, nuzzling into your side.
“How was work?” You questioned? Ritsu sighed.
“Not as productive as I wanted it to be. The captain won’t sign any of the papers, even though I just want to help him.”
You pulled him into a hug. He hugged back and buried his head in your chest. You ran your fingers through his hair, and hummed a tune.
Tumblr media
Haku loves anytime he gets to touch you, especially if he gets to tease you about it.
Most of your cuddles end up in spooning or a kind of pretzel cuddle.
Most of the time he's busy with his dorm, but the occasional time that he's not, he's giving you all the attention he can.
He complains about not being able to spend the night with you, and if the opportunity ever arose that he could, he's taking it.
He places little kisses on the top of your head and neck.
Haku’s arms wrapped around your waist as he pulled you closer, and nuzzled into your neck. His legs intertwined with yours. Quietly whining when the sun hit his eyes.
You shifted as you woke up, which caused the grip Haku had on you to tightened. You held onto his arms as you leaned closer to him.
“Good morning Haku,” you drowsily said.
“Good morning darling.” Haku planted a kiss on your jaw, and one on your neck. You relaxed in his arms.
“Do you want to go on a little date with me today?” Haku asked.

I recently re-watched some of the MP100 anime and it's really got me thinking about how horrifying it must have been for Reigen all those times where he could only sit there and wait to hear if Mob was alright. As the audience, we follow Mob around the story, so he's not often absent to the viewers like he is to those who love him.
I've been thinking about season 1—Mob not showing up to work for the first time ever, not answering his phone, and his GPS pinging at a random spot in the middle of the forest outside the city. How must that taxi ride have felt for Reigen, just staring at the red dot on his phone screen, having no idea what he'd find? Sure, he's a powerful psychic, but he's also 14. He's just a boy.
Or during Mogami arc, when Reigen had to sit there next to Mob's body, empty and cold on the tile floor and completely devoid of life or a soul, with no idea when or if he'd return. After Dimple, who knows very well how possession works, had warned him again and again that Mob was dead and never coming home. The fact that when Mob first wakes up back in his body, Reigen was already bent over him, sweating, eyes wide, telling him, “I actually thought you might’ve died.” That was around 45 minutes or an hour for Reigen.
It took 4-5 hours for Reigen, Ritsu, Teru, and Dimple to just lay eyes on Shigeo after the explosion at the end of season 2. 4-5 hours of searching through the rubble after they all watched a massive explosion consume him first-hand. He was buried completely within the broccoli and they only found him once they got a shovel and started digging. How must it have felt, searching for that long and still not knowing if they were going to find him alive? Or those few moments after finding his face buried in the ground, calling out for him again and again without any response or signs of life? Reigen played it off as a joke—“I thought you were a goner back there Mob. Pretty scary!”—but you can hear the fear in their voices when they’re calling for Mob to wake up, and it’s not really a joke.
Or even before that, when Reigen was sprinting his way up hundreds of stairs, gun heavy in his hands, after Dimple told him that Toichiro was intent on mercilessly killing Mob. Walking in and finding him crumpled and broken, held up by his hair. One very quiet, very weak “Ma…ster…” and then he’s unmoving on the ground. Desperately, “Hey…! You still alive, Mob?”
“I’m a pathetic excuse for a master.” Always left waiting until it’s too late. Until Confession Arc, when he finally runs into the fray to bring Mob home himself, just in time.

This Week in BL
Feb 2023 Wk 1
Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most.
Tumblr media
Ongoing Series - Thai
My School President (Fri YT) ep 9 of 12 - WinSound totally won me over in this ep. They were great. Their competitive style of romance, made me really happy. Double tsundere it’s so rare to get and not be annoying or depressing. Of course the mains were adorable too.
Never Let Me Go (Tues YT) ep 8 of 12 - Solid little episode. Perth in the pool, thank U BL gods. Peeling the shrimp to rope, always a favorite of mine. Some awesome couple flirting and a nice romantic sex scene. What’s not to like about this episode?
Hit Bite Love (Sat YouTube) ep 2 of 6 - King is fucking adorable. Burger is clueless and (apparently) entirely straight. Shogun is one of the gayest characters ever put in high school BL. Heda is kinda awesome, basically a chaos wingman. Matteo is interesting. I genuinely like the central friendship between King & Shogun a lot. Queer baby besties! It’s Ming & Wayo-esk but better. Holy KINK FEST outta nowhere, BLman! I’m getting total whiplash with this show. Very Make It Right. What does it want to be? Who tf knows but I’m into it, that’s for sure. It’s accomplishing something, which most pulps don’t.
609 Bedtime Story (Fri WeTV) ep 11fin - my backup computer is down so I haven’t had a chance to watch this yet. Hopefully but next week’s report.
Tumblr media
Ongoing Series - Not Thai
HIStory 5: Love in the Future (Taiwan Weds Viki) ep 6 of 10 (or 11&12 of 20) - Jonny’s hair is driving me nuts. Hai Yi’s behavior is confusing me too. Office boys remain totally adorable. Very doomy mid run ep 6. Ah Taiwan, how unpredictable you are.
Candy Color Paradox AKA Ameiro Paradox (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 7 of 8 - these weirdos make for very strange boyfriends. Frankly? K seems like a useless bit of business, if you ask me.
Individual Circumstances (Korea Thurs Viki) ep 5-6 of 8 - I’m just annoyed with Mr. Tsundere at this point, he’s gone from grumpy to mean. I just want him to have a really good reason for having disappeared without saying anything, and good does not mean “sensitive pathetic authorial feels.” You don’t abandon your best friend just because you fell in love with them, that’s an unforgivably shitty thing to do.
The End Of The World, With You AKA Bokura no Micro na Shuumatsu (Japan Sun Gaga ep 1 of 8 - Stars Toshiki Seto (Senpai, This Can't Be Love). The world is about to be destroyed by a meteor, so Masumi visits his old uni library to read as much as he wants until the end. There he meets Ritsu, his player ex. It’s a bit awkward, and I’m not sure about the premise (it scares me that it might be sad). It’s racier, gayer, and has better kissing than i was expecting (again a sign it might go dark). Also Is Ritsu a big time bi-slut player or is that Masumi’s perspective? Regardless I’m intrigued if wary.
Tumblr media
Finished this week
The New Employee (Korea Weds Viki) ep 7fin - They are so cute it’s unbelievable. I thought it was a good office romance ending, if not a great Bl ending. All in all this is a darn near perfect nugget of an office romance BL, sweet and much gayer than we have any right to expect from Korea. Rainbow rice cakes forever! 9/10
Between Us (Sun iQIYI) ep 12fin - It’s a serviceable series about hot swimmers flirting and dealing with family drama in a sweetly earnest manner, but ultimately it squanders the talent in play. I would’ve preferred a cleaner narrative arc, less angst and more plot, fewer couples, and a shorter series. That said, there’s nothing objectively wrong, sub-standard, or off-putting about this show. And it has lots of consent and other good qualities. It’s fine. Watch along here. 8/10
I Will Knock You (Fri Gaga) ep 12fin - I did think a lot over why I disliked this one. Because on the surface it’s just your standard slightly terrible Thai pulp, and I’m usually not that mean about them. I think in the end it comes down to the uke who just seemed to never warm to the boy pursuing him, and never really actually wanted to be his boyfriend. Also terrible dead fish kiss. 5/10
Gossip
Apparently we have new scions (waves goodbye to BrightWin) - GeminiFourth: The Crown Princes of BL. If you’re wondering how their chemistry is so good (My School President), this article may explain it.
In Case You Missed It
Tumblr media
Caught up on 2020′s The Reason Why He Fell In Love With Me. (Gaga picked it up and I’ve been wanting to see it since it got announced in 2019.)
TRWHFILWM Series 1 - 2 teachers who work together at the same high school, one outgoing and the other reserved, start an affair. Gave me Ossan’s Love vibes and that is my least favorite kind of JBL. It’s just far too cartoonish and slapstick and I don’t like it. That said, it has several kisses, a happy ending, and they are cute together. So if you can this style BL, it you might like it.
TRWHFILWM Special - Completely ignores the first couple and the teacher premise, carrying over just one main character, and should have been a new BL (Boys Love flashbacks). I understand 2021′s season 2 continues this tactic. But I’ll watch it eventually.
Next Week Looks Like This:
Tumblr media
Not a lot actually, which is cool, I still got some 2022 catching up still to do. Why You Y Me, may be?
Starting:
Moonlight Chicken (Weds? YouTube) 1 of 8 -
My Beautiful Man S2 - ??? sorry I’m scared of this one and not really paying attention, it being Japan and a desirable property, I’m assuming it will either be impossible to find or just show up on my dash in 2 places at once.
Feb releases list is here.
2023 forthcoming BL master post. (see comments some are inaccurate, NOT UPDATED)

some a3! x enstars headcanons
because they've been consuming my brain!! (while i slowly lose the canon characterizations of a3 characters, and try to understand enstars characters)
As stated in this post, i LOVE the idea that Sakuya is the adopted little brother to Rei and Ritsu. (in the reblogs of the post, @/nobleartsy made super cute art of the idea, and @/otome-crow gave some really good ideas adding onto the post, so please check both of their blogs out!!) kinda just rewording some of otome-crow's post, Sakuya has this whole goth outfit to fit in with his brothers :)) Sakuya tries his best to attend lives of UNDEAD and Knights, but will just have to occasionally settle for watching official recordings of their shows. In turn, Rei and Ritsu also try their best to watch the Spring Troupe's shows! They just want to support one another <3
Banri and Tsuzuru are both fans of UNDEAD (even before they met Rei in person! A couple more Mankai members became fans of UNDEAD and Knights after meeting them in person). They both were stoked to meet Rei, and the latter also gave Banri and Tsuzuru some signed merch!
(Genuinely decided to make Tsuzuru an UNDEAD fan bc i think the image of a sleep deprived Tsuzuru trying to work on a script while blasting UNDEAD's music with his headphones, but is still loud enough for people in the room to hear is hilarious)
One time, Ritsu visited the company and fell asleep on top of Hisoka on the couch. This created an impromptu cuddle pile
Yuki is a big fan of Shu's clothing work, despite it being a bit more underground compared to other Japanese fashion designers. This led him to discover the idol group Valkyrie. Some of their songs are now in Yuki's playlist that plays while he and Taichi sew
(I also think Yuki would have great time with Kuro, letting him help with costumes (: )
Chiaki and Sakyo know each other... somehow. Their relationship is unknown, and they never really elaborate what it is when people ask. On the very rare occasion they see each other on the street, they greet each other but talk with such thinly veiled animosity toward each other; and yet, they have each other's numbers in their phones. Make of that what you will (guess a hero and an ex-yakuza don't mix well together)
Sakyo and Keito went to the same middle school and were best friends. They were really close and mainly bonding with each other over manga. They lost touch when they went to different high schools, so neither one of them knows that one is an actor and the other is an idol
Tsumugi Tsukioka and Tsumugi Aoba are acquaintances! They met because they both frequently go to the same cafe; one day, they just started having friendly small talk, and now they meet kinda monthly? Almost as if they're on a schedule lol They just have nice small talk with one another at the cafe and rant to each other about their lives (without getting into too much personal details), offer each other advice, tell stories from their lives, etc! It's come up in conversation that Tsukioka is an actor, but Aoba never mentioned that he's an idol yet
Kumon is a big fan of RYUSEITAI and would love to go to one of their live shows one day! He doesnt have a favorite member (his favorite is a tie between RYUSEI Red and RYUSEI Yellow)
(Listen, I could probably make another entire headcanons list about the characters favorite idol groups, if they have any lmao)
Tenma met Izumi Sena once, while he was abroad. The actor had no idea who the other guy was, and vice versa (Izumi gave him directions)
I am convinced Wataru would love Homare's poetry; he's been a fan, and ever since Wataru heard Homare joined an acting troupe, he's been negotiating with members of Dramatica to go see a winter troupe play!
And that concludes the headcanons i can think of atm, thanks for reading :) if you have any of your own please add them in either the comments or reblogs!! I would love to read them <33

Tumblr media
AO3 Link - Wattpad Link
Fandom: Ensemble Stars
Series: I Want To Be With You!
Characters: Ritsu Sakuma, Rei Sakuma, Anja-Sophia 'Ann' Wolff (OC), Nyeli (OC by @watersofcamelot)
Summary: Lately Rei shows up more and more around Ann and Ritsu does not like it… To say the least.
Masterlist - Next Chapter
What was going on? What was happening? Ritsu didn’t know the answer to that. All he knew was that he did not like this, at all, and he would honestly be better off not having this sight to begin with. Because whenever managing to make some time and comes over for a visit to a certain someone’s office to see her and a tiny chibi–like creature with cat–like features, he would be there… Of all people, that one guy Ritsu never wanted to see. That thing looks like his older brother, but it’s not. Or so he would tell anyone who would try to convince him otherwise. The guy in question? He would rather not say his name nor think about it and yet it had already echoed in his ears unpleasantly when the feminine voice said ‘Rei–San’. The first name basis despite the ‘--San’... It pissed Ritsu off hearing that, especially when it came out of her mouth. He felt like getting the next best object and just throw it right then and there. Or he would punch a wall in if he could… He just didn’t have the energy for any of that.
That didn’t change any of this turmoil going on within him whenever he was forced to listen to it for a while. Sure, Ritsu kind of exposed himself to it all the same yet his legs would always grow stiff when hearing any sign of his ‘older brother’ talk. It was never anything special nor would anyone find this alarming yet it made Ritsu debate nonetheless. Even if he wanted to run every single time he couldn’t. He was afraid what would happen if he turned a blind eye after all… Ah yeesh, this was such a pain! He didn’t know what to do, how to handle this… After all, talking to Anija was not something he could make Ann avoid.
Ann herself was a translator after all, thus in charge of some affairs overseas, and if Anija had business overseas one way or another, whyever that was, Ritsu had to force himself to understand and swallow whatever bitterness had been building up at the time. Doesn’t mean he likes it, far from it. Though that did not make his stomach turn, no, this would just make Ritsu dislike the situation at hand.
It was how cozy the two got, to say the least, something which worried him more than it should. Each time he listened the air was… Cozy, comfortable, the two got along. And something made him dislike it. This was just ticking him off and he couldn’t handle it. If his legs would not freeze out of nowhere he would just barge in and drag the translator off without a word but he always hesitated at first to even enter. Even more when hearing an unbothered ‘Nye’ echoing through the door. It always made him shiver uncontrollably… All because of Anija’s presence. And it was only when Anija was present. But then again, wasn’t he just overreacting as well as overthinking something? He hated this, he really did, and yet he couldn’t decide exactly what—
“Huh? Ritsu, what a surprise~” A rather unpleasant voice would always bring him back to reality however, making him always startled for a split second as he had finally taken notice. He was no longer staring at a door, all lost in thought, but a face similar to his. They even shared eye and hair color. The male was a little taller however and his hair was way longer and wavier than Ritsu’s own… Anija, of course, and he had a sickening smile on his face. He never liked seeing it yet at this moment it just wanted to make him throw up right then and there. And yet, that guy kept talking with this frustrating smile. “Haha, why are you standing there? Come join us~ You can even sit on big brother’s lap if you like~!”
“No thanks…” Ritsu tried to keep his usual facade, though not needing to try too hard to pretend. He was annoyed after all… He only had to hold himself back after all, to say the least. It was no secret how Ritsu thought about his own brother anyway, and it was not a secret to Anija either.
“Ow… You wound me.” This one even dared to respond.
Though it only made the younger one of the Sakuma brothers glare at the older one, unamused. “Yes yes. Whatever you say Anija.”
Before the conversation could be continued however taps would interrupt the exchange from below before Ritsu felt someone crawling up one of his legs, right up to one of his shoulders and suddenly nuzzling against one of his cheeks which seemed to calm him down a little. “Papa~” The tiny cat–human hybrid wearing his usual dark blue hoodie said as his ears wagged with happiness, making Ritsu sigh and lift up one of his arms to pat the tiny one softly.
“Hello, I’m happy to see you too Nyeli.” He responded and continued to pat which only made the kitty purr for a while. Just in time before this could escalate, or at least could have gotten to its worst possible outcome in no time. Then again, it continued soon enough, much to Ritsu’s dismay. Does Anija ever shut up?
“Haha, if he wasn’t my adorable nephew, I’d be jealous.” He joked, or attempted to, chuckling even, which made Ritsu grumble.
“Who said you—”
“Nyancle!” Nyeli responded, however, silencing Ritsu for a short moment. He didn’t know how the kitty and Anija managed to get along yet here they were and he couldn’t do a thing about it. It was not the worst though and fair enough…
“Ah— Right… Sorry…” Ritsu forced the word out of his own mouth however, wishing he didn’t have to. Then again, Nyeli saw many as his family, so this had to be expected.
"Nye nye Papa nye~" Nyeli continued nuzzling however, not fazed in any way. He was just being a joyful kitty, wanting to be all nuzzle and cuddly. It lifted Ritsu’s mood up a little but only enough to keep himself under control.
“So, why are you here? You got business with Ann here?”Anija dared to ask, something which always got under Ritsu’s skin. It shot through his mind, just how dare he ask something like this? And yet, here he was, just asking away, as if it was nothing. Why was it so infuriating!? Why was he fuming at the mere thought of it? This was beyond the usual annoyance and disinterest… He wanted to scream, something was terrifying about this question… Especially when it had been asked so casually.
“Who knows. As if I’m telling you~” Ritsu responded, forcing the usual tone out of himself. He didn’t want anyone in the room to know or catch on. The last thing he needed was to be honest.
“Haha, but big brother wants to know.”
“I don’t have to tell you, do I?”
“Ow~”
“Don’t annoy Ann–Chan you know…”
This seemed to finally make the last one in the room speak up, though the words were almost the equivalent of a face punch, even if this had never been the intention. “Ah– No, Rei–San isn’t. Don’t worry.” Ann tried to reassure him it seems, perhaps somewhat sensing the tension… He wanted to avoid it but it would be impossible in some way so honestly… Maybe it was not completely unexpected. “He came over because… Work. You know… About—”
“It’s an overseas project. I was merely asking for the young one’s guidance~” Anija interrupted, making Ritsu nearly roll his eyes. By then Nyeli had hopped onto his arms at least and thus Ritsu was able to pat the kitty, making said cat purr and Ritsu himself would be able to keep calm.
“Y… Yeah, basically.” Ann responded rather softly, almost embarrassed sounding.
“Are you done soon?” Ritsu decided to ask, knowing that he could just leave if they were not. In fact, it might be for the best if that was the case.
“Oh, does my little brother want some private time~?” Anija’s voice would say so disgustingly casually, it was almost insane to think about.
“That doesn’t answer anything…”
“Yes yes, message received~” The older ‘brother’ then finally turned around, facing the brunette directly. “I’ll take my leave then, if you don’t mind. We can discuss it later.”
“Ah— Y… Yes. Of course.”
“Haha,  thank you. I’ll see you then. And make sure to treat my brother well~” Yet before he would finally leave he just had to get down to Nyeli, enough to come face to face and seem to pat him as well. “And you behave too, little one.”
“Nye~” The kitty nodded, tail wagging ever so eagerly before Anija finally removed his hand, walking past Ritsu and leaving, though after waving the trio ‘bye’. Talk about taking too long… Or at least longer than Ritsu liked.
He even sighed as a result, a little relieved, though he would not get a chance to get some rest about it just yet. Something bugged him, it really did, and it would keep bugging him. Well, that would be unless…
“Hey, can I ask you something?” He broke the silence rather quickly, maybe before Ann could even say anything. He was even facing her with the kitty in his arms, said cat perhaps being rather confused more than anything. But he was not looking at that and instead was staring at the confused woman at the desk, having her eyebrows raised.
“Huh? Uhm… Sure, what—”
“What do you think of Anija?”

Star Sign -birth- TEAM01 - Release commemoration 🌟 Short Story
Tumblr media
"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"
When I smiled and said that, Ritsu, who was next to me, made a clearly exasperated face.
His thinning eyebrows became even finer. In response to the faint but definite tremor around his eyes, I couldn't help but let a smile creep across my face.
(Cute)
His unadorned expression was fresh and so cute that I couldn't help but…. What if I told him the truth? He would probably frown even more.
"Natsume Soseki?" Rui's voice gently seeps into the deep indigo night sky. Then, continuing, Yosuke and Souta say, "Too old-fashioned," and "It's fine since it's romantic." "Don't give up on wooing him, Prince," said Minato. The casual sounds drew ripples, touched someone's heart with meaning, and soaked in as I witnessed it. (Ah. That's nice.) This must be "what I wanted". That's why I wanted to be an actor.
My parents were busy with work, and I was often alone at home. I still don't know the scene of a family gathering that often appears in dramas. I only know that "it seems to exist to some extent that can be presented as a common recognition to the general public".
As long there's mininal communication, I just have to be quiet and smile vaguely. Because everyone says to me - "Kazuki-kun is a beautiful and well-behaved child". I never thought that was particularly unhappy, though. (I didn't know what to compare it to) To begin with, there was no one at home who I wanted to reach out to, and there was no word that I wished to reach me either. (There wasn't, really…. Hey, Ritsu)"
But, that's right, isn't it? It's a bit difficult to wish for something you don't know at all.
"It's scary how smoothly you can say that kind of line…" "Really? Is that so?"
I answer with a cheerful voice, and a small sigh escapes from Ritsu's thin, well-shaped lips, making me even happier.
"Hey. Did I look really cool just now?" "You sound like you've been saying that for a hundred years and it's terrifying." "Oh, you found out." "…What?" "I practiced a lot, but you found out. I wanted to confess more casually."
How much you changed my life, something like that. (You don't know, do you?) Through the screen, your bright and clear voice, your earnest passion, lifted me up and illuminated me when I was still a kid. (But, you don't have to know.)
The sound that beats in my chest. The feeling that has no name. The colors that seep into the air. The distant sparkle that is like reaching for a star that can't be reached - the shapeless longing that flickered in my heart, it's because of you.
"Ugh…a public confession, gross." "Yousuke, don't say that! …Sorry, Kazu-san. He probably doesn't mean much by it." "Hey. Either follow up or put me down, choose one." "Anyway, it's amazing that you can say that without any hesitation." "It seems like all the girls would be thrilled by that."
"I'd probably totally freak out if I were a girl, though…" "By the way, why is there not a single car passing by since a while ago, when I want to hitchhike!?" "It can't be helped, it's late at night." "Are you already exhausted from walking up the hill for five minutes?" "What? If you're going to say that, you can carry me on your back, gorilla." "Speaking of Ibara-san, he didn't show up at the site today." "Maybe he's busy with various things?" "That guy, seriously…" "I'm tired… I want to go home and take a bath!"
The sparkle of words that break in front of my eyes.
(It's fine if only I know) The common sparkle that taught me how beautiful it is. The joy, the sadness, the many feelings that it brought to me. How much it enriched my heart, my life. The longing that drove me, that brought me to this moment, to this place, it was undoubtedly you. I will never forget, for the rest of my life.
(Even if you can't love yourself as much as you want) It's okay. I will love you for that.
"…What?" "Nothing, never mind."
In the southern sky, a bright and round silver moon that erases countless stars. While listening to the glittering voice as if embracing it in the depths of my chest, the six of us walked side by side, aiming for the same place.

I’m chronically online so I compiled all the currently available enstars tv anime pasha listings I’ve seen for each character. These are mostly from japan mercari or twitter so I’m sure I missed out on a few listings elsewhere, but scrolling through thousands of listings is pretty time consuming. Disclaimer before reading ahead, I’m not an expert, just autistic and researched into it for the past week or so.
Q: What is a tv anime pasha?
A pasha is short for pashakore, which is pretty much just paper merchandise made to look similar to a polaroid picture. The TV anime ones are rare since it had a limited release, and even now I’m looking for listings for certain characters since I’ve never seen them sold online (Mao where are you…) They can range from being sold anywhere between 3 to 30 bucks. There is also an even rarer version of the anima pasha that is the same design but with a broken holo foil effect, and can be compared to foil signed pashas in how they were seeded.
The official promotional art showcasing all the different anime pashas.
There can be multiple individual listings for each character pasha, in which case I chose the single cheapest one. However, with bundles, it’s harder to estimate the individual price, hence why there are many bundles shown here. If I felt something was too expensive however, I excluded it.
This is mostly just a small thing I compiled out of my own curiosity and search for anime pashas of characters I produce. I sadly never saw any I was interested in, but didn’t want those hours to go to waste, hence the compilation to show anyone that’s curious about the topic.
Term I used for searching: あんスタ アニメ ぱしゃこれ
Characters I’ve never seen being sold: Koga, Nagisa
Characters I’ve seen listings of, but have been sold as of posting this: Shinobu, Wataru, Ibara, Tsukasa, Rei, Izumi, Mao, Eichi, Tori, Madara, Keito, Arashi

Hiii! Congrats, 1400 is such a big number, I think you definitely deserve it!
Can I pls get lovers, the sun and the star for Ritsu?
Thanks a lot, stay hydrated)
Aww thank you!! And I agree, I really am amazed by how many people are following a small blog like mine. kinda mindblowing
Also I´m happy about this request because Ritsu is one of my favorites and these prompts definitely fit him <3
1400 followers celebration rules

The Lovers - How would this yandere deal with their darling being in a relationship with someone else?
Badly. Like not kidding, he might be the one that would handle their darling having a lover the worst. It´s just unthinkable to him. The one he loves and adores, being happy with someone else, just leaving him behind like that? He can´t handle it. He would be so so jealous.
He would try to insert himself into any kind of moment you and your lover might be having. Insisting that you should take him along with you. He´s your best friend, right? You´ve been together since forever, you won´t just abandon him like that, right? Do you hate him now? Do you love them more than him? Did all the time you´ve spent together mean nothing to you?
Yeah he would try to manipulate and guilt-trip you to strain your relationship with your lover. He makes it very clear that he doesn´t approve of the relationship from the very moment you tell him about it. Might cling to you more than ever to anger your lover and make them break up with you because Ritsu is taking up all of your time.
And if the breakup doesn´t happen? If his efforts are for naught? Ritsu would probably go crazy and end up stabbing your lover, over and over while screaming that they never deserved you anyway and that you two were meant to be together from the very beginning. And he would do anything to be together with you
The Sun - When would this yandere feel content with their situation?
I don´t think Ritsu would ever really feel content with your situation. You two could have been in a relationship for several years with you showing absolutely no signs of being unhappy and yet there is still always this thought lingering in the back of his mind that you might decide to leave him one day. More than anything else, he doesn´t want be left all alone by you. Maybe if his doubts get bad enough he would you chain you up somewhere that no one else can find so there is no way for you to leave him.
Only when you two are all alone, cuddling together in bed with no one able to interrupt you does Ritsu truly feel at peace.
The Star - How would this yandere deal with their darling’s loved ones?
It depends. He´s probably fine with your family. They are your family after all so there is no possible competition. Though he would get pouty and clingy if he felt like you spent more time with your family than him. He´s your boyfriend, don´t you like being with him? Just cancel your family reunion and spend your evening with him instead. It´s not like you could ever escape his embrace anyway.
Your friends? He´s not going to like them. They have a bond with you when all you really need is him. You don´t need to waste your time with them. If he ever gets an inkling that one of your friends might have a crush on you? Yeah Ritsu is not going to tolerate that. Either they take his threat seriously and stop hanging out with you or he might be forced to go back to more extreme measures again

Day 3: Baking/Warm
@takaritsuweek <3 if you see typos no u don't I didn't really proofread lmao
***
Takano Masamune liked to think that he was pretty good at cooking. He could whip up a meal pretty quickly using whatever nonsense he found in his cupboards and it always turned out at least decent. When he really put in the effort he dare say he could even make delicious meals.
Onodera Ritsu on the other hand hated cooking. Not only was he constantly terrified of undercooking any proteins involved (raw chicken was the bane of his existence. He always ended up making it too dry or just slightly burnt out of fear of it being a little pink in the middle) but he also hadn't quite wrapped his head around balancing spices. He always put too much or too little of stuff. Recipes were never clear enough! They always said a 'pinch' of this or a 'sprinkle' of that, like that was supposed to mean something to Ritsu!
Now, baking on the other hand...
Ritsu didn't bake often, but he certainly enjoyed it more than cooking. You didn't have to keep an eye on a pot to make sure nothing boiled over, there were clear cut measurements and instructions to be followed, and dessert is always more fun than dinner anyway!
Masamune did not hold the same sentiment. When it came to baking, one wrong measurement and the whole thing was a disaster! Cooking was more lenient, so long as you didn't burn anything (as Ritsu tended to do). Plus, he wasn't huge on sweets and the less sugary baked goods, like bread for example, took way too much effort to make in his opinion. He could get bread at the store for cheaper and his arms wouldn't be sore from kneading.
However, there was one aspect both men liked about the different styles of food making and that was watching the other do it.
Even if Ritsu denied Masamune's offers to come over to dinner, he still found himself at his boss' apartment more often than he'd like to. Once in Masamune's kitchen Ritsu would always offer to help cook just to be polite, but knew it would be rejected. After sitting down (Ritsu secretly feeling relieved that he didn't have to help) a weird, warm sense of what Ritsu could only describe as "domestic homelife" would fill the kitchen. The sounds of stirring, boiling, and the gradually building smell of whatever meal Masamune was preparing that night would bloom throughout the apartment to create a peaceful illusion of something Ritsu was too afraid to put a name on. Ritsu tried not to think too hard about it otherwise it would shatter.
There was something...charming about watching Masamune cook that Ritsu couldn't quite put his finger on. Masamune was focused, like he was with everything he did, but somehow also casual. Like he was confident and knew what he was doing. Then again, he always acts like he knows what he's doing, Ritsu would often think as he tried not to roll his eyes.
Sometimes Ritsu dared to daydream what it would be like to come home everyday and let Masamune cook for him, not that he would dare let Masamune know that, especially since Masamune had already offered and Ritsu knew he was dead serious. If Ritsu ever dared to crack open even an inch and share the slightest vulnerability then Masamune would undoubtedly take complete advantage of such an opportunity, like he always does.
To be fair, Masamune didn't get many opportunities, so of course he had to take advantage of them when he could. Like the first and only time he'd seen Ritsu bake.
Masamune had shoved his way into Ritsu's apartment with some flimsy work excuse despite Ritsu's protesting.
"At least let me finish up in the kitchen first." Ritsu huffed once he realized that Masamune wasn't going anywhere.
Masamune raised an eyebrow. "What are you making?" He asked, instinctively trying to crane his neck to get a peek into the kitchen.
"Cookies." Ritsu mumbled, annoyed at being interrupted.
"Why?"
"I just felt like it." Ritsu snipped. Did he need a reason to bake cookies in his own home?
"I didn't take you for a baker. I didn't take you for a person who does anything in the kitchen, really." Considering Ritsu's track record of malnourishment, Masamune thought that was a fair statement, though it seemed Ritsu disagreed.
"If you're gonna be rude then you can show yourself out." Ritsu huffed before making a show of turning his back to Masamune and going back to the kitchen.
Masamune rolled his eyes and trailed behind him, standing in the doorway of the kitchen to watch as Ritsu went back to the two separate bowls he had: one for wet ingredients and one for dry. Ritsu double checked that the oven was preheated before he got back to work on the mixing.
Ritsu tried to ignore Masamune and pretend like he wasn't there as he slowly combined the two bowls and mixed until he got a dough, however it was difficult to do so considering how Masamune was staring.
"What?" Ritsu finally snapped as he started to line a baking sheet with little balls of cookie dough.
Masamune bit back a smile as he realized that Ritsu had no idea how cute he was: flour all over his shirt, dough sticking to his hands, and so unbelievably serious and determined about making a batch of cookies. Even with something like this, he's determined to do his best, Masamune thought.
"I just love you, is all." Masamune said, calm and collected in appearance despite inwardly feeling nothing but a shining adoration.
Ritsu almost dropped the tray. "You-!" He cut himself off with a sound of frustration and shook his head before starting his sentence again. "You can't just say things like that!" Ritsu managed to get the tray in the oven without losing any dough to the floor. He also didn't burn himself which was a major plus!
"Can I try one when they're done?" Masamune asked, electing to ignore Ritsu's protest of his affections.
"No."
Masamune frowned. "Why not?"
"You don't even like sweets that much, so why would I waste one on you?" Ritsu asked as he started the process of cleaning everything up.
"I'll like it if you're the one who made it."
Ritsu paused his movements altogether before emphatically shaking his head. "I-I'll never understand how you can say things like that with a straight face!"
"So, can I try one?" Masamune repeated.
Ritsu considered the question for a moment instead of outright denying, which was a good sign, Masamune hoped.
"If you help me clean up." Ritsu finally decided.
Masamune left his spot in the doorway to assist Ritsu in cleaning up the measuring cups, spoons, bowls, etc, that had been used in the process of making the cookies. He had to bite back the comments he wanted to make of how it felt like they were a married couple cleaning up together lest he risk losing the opportunity to try something Ritsu baked.
I learned something new about him today, Masamune thought idly as he watched Ritsu wipe down his countertop. He was glad Ritsu wasn't looking at him so he wouldn't see how he was smiling like a total idiot.
In the end, both Ritsu and Masamune were right about the cookies: Masamune still wasn't a huge fan of sweets, but he was a fan of sweets made by Ritsu.

Assassination Classroom - Over The Moon AU
I have watched "Over The Moon" on Netflix recently and have the amazing idea. What if we wrote an Over The Moon AU for Assassination Classroom?
Tumblr media
Here is my concept of the Over the Moon AU. Please bear with my long ramblings.
-------------
Thousand years ago, Koro became fatally ill due to an incurable disease. His beloved wife, Aguri, loved her husband very much and decided to find a way to heal her dying husband.
So she travelled far and wide to search the legendary Tree of Life, a magical tree that bears a legendary magic peach that only blooms and grows once in a thousand years, which could heal all diseases, no matter how incurable it is. After weeks of searching, she found the tree, and saw the magic peach, glowing with power. Desperate enough to heal her dying husband, she plucked the peach, went home, and made a healing elixir that could heal Koro.
She made Koro to drink the potion and feel the healing power of the elixir, so Koro will be healed. As expected, Koro had recovered from the disease and they lived happily.
But the happiness was short-lived. Aguri found the painful truth about the magical peach too late.
Shin (the Second Reaper), the young and talented village healer, told her the painful truth about the peach. The one who intakes the magic peach can be cured by any illness that plagues him or her, but there is a catch, a curse. The one who intakes the peach can't die, and will be immortal forever.
Aguri clung on her husband’s hands tightly, as she held on his fleeting embrace. He was floating upwards, a mysterious force pulling him away from Aguri's loving arms. The curse has started, and Koro was taken away from her. She cried and cried, holding Koro's hands tight, but she can't cling to him any longer. She let go him, her hands trying to reach her beloved, but Koro was now far away, floating to the glowing moon above.
Aguri was grief-stricken and feels regret over the loss of Koro, so every day and every night, she would offer mooncakes and sweets to an altar she made for her husband. She would pray and sing, so Koro could hear her voice, hoping that she would reunite with him soon.
Unfortunately, Aguri is a mortal and have a short lifespan. She never remarried, as she still loves Koro very much. The tried everything, she prayed and plead and she went to the Tree to find another peach to eat so she could be reunited with Koro, but the peach only grows once in a thousand years. She fell ill and died alone at a young age, without Koro in her embrace.
The now-immortal Koro was alone in the moon, trapped forever in rock and lunar dunes. He cried for the loss of Aguri, as his crystal tears fell to the ground, giving life to the rocks that became his faithful subjects. The rocks turned to humanoid teenagers, which will help him cope with the loneliness and longing for his beloved Aguri.
Every 13th day of the third month (March 13th), people celebrates the tale of Koro and Aguri by eating and offering mooncakes, while telling the children about their tragic tale. The moon would shine so bright at this time, forming a crescent shape as the reminder of Aguri's love for Koro.
Thousands of years after, there was a boy named Nagisa Shiota. He lived a happy childhood, his father would tell him stories, while little Nagisa and his mother, Hiromi, would listen to the tale under the moon. Their favorite story was the tale of Koro and Aguri. When Nagisa was 8, Nagisa's father gives him an old necktie with a crescent moon emblem and a golden moon pendant.
They were very happy, until Nagisa's father died due to illness, leaving his mother depressed and insane, as she started to think that Nagisa was his daughter she never had. She began to have delusions of a happy family, and became abusive to her son, punishing him if he never did her wishes.
Until the day they met the Asanos.
When Nagisa was 14, Hiromi met Gakuho Asano, a widower, and it was love at first sight. After a year, they are planning to get married, and Hiromi began to revert back to her old self, although she was a little abusive to Nagisa.
Gakuho has a son, Gakushuu. He is the same age as Nagisa, and he was very different from the meek Nagisa. He was always serious, competitive and kinda proud, and Nagisa had difficulty getting along with him.
Nagisa was tired of this life. He still wanted his father, and hated the fact that his mother easily replaced his father by Gakuho in her heart. So he wanted to meet Koro, the god of the moon, to prove to his mother that love is not replacable, and it is forever. He had a plan: to build a rocket to the moon.
With a little knowledge of Science and determination, he successfully made the rocket, but he never expected Gakushuu joining his plan to meet the moon god, let alone met Koro in personal. Nagisa lost control of the rocket due to shock, crashing it.
Nagisa was pissed when he found out Gakushuu joined him in this plan. Gakushuu argued that he silently help Nagisa solve the equations needed for the rocket, as some of the calculations Nagisa did are slightly wrong, and can cause trouble for Nagisa later on. Also, Gakushuu wanted to see if this Koro is real all along, as he was still skeptical about the story.
They were arguing when they were suddenly taken away by flying... Octopuses? Gakushuu loses his shit.
And do I have to tell you Koro was always holding concerts at his kingdom? Can you imagine that?
Gakushuu and Nagisa meets Koro, the god of the moon. Nagisa was ecstatic and took a photo with the moon god, while Gakushuu was still mumbing how this is possible. It was peaceful until Koro demanded about a gift to them. The two humans were confused about the immortal's demand. They don't know about the gift.
So Koro had stolen the picture of Nagisa and him as a ransom, as he announced to all his subjects that anyone who can find the gift before the last sliver of moonlight in the orb fades, their greatest wish will be granted. Of course, all of Koro's subjects were excited, so they rush out to find the gift. Nagisa wanted to get the picture so he ran outside, leaving Gakushuu looking at Koro with a glare, suddenly challenging the moon god, demanding about the picture. Koro agrees.
They settled the fight by doing a quiz bee. Two girls, a blonde named Rio, and a purple-haired girl named Ritsu, held the contest, while the Gakushuu and Koro were the contestants. They answered questions with precision, and even Koro was amazed of the strawberry-blond kid's intelligence. But they still continued on, Koro was starting to get annoyed by the kid's knowledge. Until the final question.
Koro mocks that a measly kid like Gakushuu can't answer the final question, as Koro was a thousand years older than Gakushuu and more knowledgeable. Gakushuu, having a sharp mouth than anyone, retorts and mocks the moon god about the past.
"You are more knowledgeable than me, you say to me... But why you never stopped Aguri from picking that magic peach, making and letting you drink that potion that made you who you are now? You're selfish, because if you are knowledgeable as you said you are, I think you know the peach can make you immortal! Aguri was fooled by you!"
Koro was aghast about the accusations and he was pissed, unable to concentrate, leaving Gakushuu to be the victor. Koro screamed angrily that Gakushuu and Nagisa would never get the picture until the gift was given to him, breaking the deal. He left the room with Rio and Ritsu (who was apologizing), locking Gakushuu inside.
Koro was in despair, his heart was desperate to find the gift. Okuda and Takebayashi, the royal chemists, were busily mixing potions that will be needed for the ritual. Irina, one of Koro's two trusted advisors, advised the moon god to calm down. Koro replied that he can't bear to calm down, as the time is nearly up, and he can't reunite with Aguri if the gift was not yet found. Irina assured that they will find it, that Koro will gonna reunite with Aguri. The moon god smiled gratefully at Irina as he looked at what the chemists do.
After a few moments, Okuda announced that the potion for the ritual was ready. The gift was the only one left needed. Koro sadly smiled as he looked at the orb.
Nagisa went with a team of bounty hunters, Terasaka, Muramatsu, Yoshida and Hazama. They fought and escaped the obstacles, as they reached the crash site, finding for the gift. Nagisa started to lose hope, praying for a sign. As he looked around, he noticed a sliver of pale light hitting the necktie. Nagisa widened his eyes as he realized that the necktie was the gift, and happily shows it to the bounty hunters. The bounty hounters, however, had interests for Koro to grant their wishes, bullies Nagisa into giving them the gift. Nagisa gives them a gift, but he was pushed by Terasaka, while his team laughed behind him. Suddenly, he was saved by a red-haired boy and a green-haired girl.
Terasaka calls the new arrivals outcasts as the redhead smiled like a demon, "You both were exiled by the great Koro-sama, why are you here?"
The redhead shrugged and threatened them in a conscending tone to give the necktie back to Nagisa, while the green-haired girl smiled menancingly, sending Terasaka's team shivers down their spine. Terasaka suddenly ran towards his bike with the necktie in his hands, and rode away, along with his team. Nagisa was shocked, before the redhead grabbed his hand and ran to a big pond where they could catch up with Terasaka. They reached the pond and rode on the huge toads's backs back to Kunugigaoka, as the toads like to feed in the lake near Kunugigaoka. Nagisa asked for their names.
"It's Karma and this is Kaede, by the way. You?"
"I’m Nagisa."
"Hi, Nagisa!"
Nagisa remembered what Terasaka said, and asked about it. Karma sighed as he reveals that Koro exiled him due to a song Karma sang to him about moving on. Before the exile, Karma was one of Koro's trusted students. Nagisa find out that Koro loved teaching, and Karma was one of the lucky Kunugigaokans who are the moon god's students.
Nagisa also found out the Kunugigaokans are born through Koro's magic tears. That means Karma practically came from the moon god's tears.
Kaede, on the other hand, was Aguri's actual younger sister. Nagisa was confused how she was with Koro when she was supposed to be mortal, while Aguri can't, Kaede revealed that she is actually a spirit, kinda like a shikigami, who died years after Koro was floated away to the moon, and her spirit remained to accompany Koro as his companion. Nagisa wondered why it was not Aguri, and Kaede explained that Aguri was the one who picked the peach, making it part of the curse Koro was suffering. The curse was not only to make Koro immortal, but it also affects Koro and Aguri's fate. They can't be together happily, even how many lifetimes they will be in. She was also exiled with Karma after telling Koro that a ritual to bring Aguri back would possibly not work.
Nagisa realized that Koro was unfair giving the two of them the punishment of exile for just saying a helpful comment. Nagisa spoke that he never expected Koro to be an arrogant and selfish prick, as his father told him before that Koro was graceful like a swan landing on a quiet lake, full of kindness and hope. Karma replied that Koro just missed Aguri, and love can make you desperate to do anything that may be impossible.
Nagisa smiled bitterly and agree. Kaede asked about Nagisa's family life and the bluenette told the entire life story. The two listened attentively to him. He even told them about his mother and Gakuho being remarried, and Gakushuu.
Karma smiled, "I hope I will experience having a sibling. Well, a sibling who could share my hobbies of pranking other people..."
Kayano nodded as she spoke with a cheerful voice, "Having a sibling is a fun experience though! Aguri was sweet, and she was a good sibling. Besides, we were alone for a thousand years, since we were exiled by Koro-niisan from the castle."
Karma smiled, "It is not bad to move on. You can remember them forever, cherish their memories, but you can't stay in the past and be stuck. Otherwise, you will feel alone forever."
Kaede had also remarked one fact about Koro.
"When he was overwhelmed by great emotions, the entire kingdom of Kunugigaoka will be affected, since he was the one who made the kingdom from scratch. In fact, when he was striken by great grief, Kunugigaoka will plagued by darkness, as Koro's happiness powers the entire kingdom's bright lights. The last time he was striken with great grief was the time he first landed on the moon, long before the kingdom of Kunugigaoka was made."
The trio catch up to the bounty hunters, after they reached the kingdom of Kunugigaoka, Nagisa seeing the orb on the castle glowing faintly, signalling they were running out of time. Terasaka and the gang tried to stop the trio from getting the tie, but the trio were persistent. They fought and fought, Kaede was jumping like a rabbit, Karma was happily punching Terasaka, with Nagisa watching at them in horror and shock, but in between their fight, the tie was accidentally destroyed. The bounty hunters stopped fighting them and proved that the tie was now useless.
Meanwhile, Gakushuu finds a way to escape the room and wanders around the place, looking for something to use for defending himself while looking for the photo. While finding, he met Isogai, a kindhearted Kunugigaokan who happily helped him find the photo. Along with Isogai is Maehara, a flirty blond haired Kunugigaokan.
Nagisa looked at the tattered tie in despair. "It was my father's gift to me, along with this pendant I am wearing."
Karma looked at the pendant and remarks that the pendant seems familiar. Nagisa looked at Karma in confusion, as Karma shrugged, thinking that he may be wrong. Nagisa looked at the pendant and saw something in it. The moon seems like it was actually part of something.
Kaede squinted at the golden pendant and commented, while smiling wistfully, "I remember that Aguri-neechan has that similar necklace thousands of years ago, a full moon necklace. Koro-niisan too have a similar pendant too, although it was a crescent moon pendant. He was still wearing it even now, after a thousand years. I remember that if you combined those two necklaces, it will become a whole moon, like a damn puzzle. It was their version of a wedding ring."
Karma laughed, "Yeah, I remembered that pendant. Koro-sensei showed it to me back when I was still his beloved student. He was so protective of it that he cried like a waterfall when I hid that pendant playfully that time. I remember that is how Itona-kun and Ritsu-chan was born."
Nagisa stood there, pondering over their tale. Being a perceptive person, all the pieces were put to place.
"Like a puzzle. The pendant is like a puzzle. The gift..."
Nagisa's blue eyes widened as he had realized that the tie was not the gift, but the pendant. The pendant that was with him all along!
Karma and Kaede smiled happily for Nagisa while Nagisa looks at the orb above the castle, there is only a sliver of moonlight left. Nagisa knew that there is little time left so he ran along, with Karma and Kaede following him.
While running inside, Gakushuu and Nagisa bumped to each other, and Nagisa hugged Gakushuu in happiness. Gakushuu was shocked as he tried to pull back (he kinda hates hugs), but Nagisa tightly gripped him.
Meanwhile, Maehara and Isogai looked at Kaede and Karma in apprehension, as all Kunugigaokans know that these two are exiled by Koro-sama due to personal reasons. Karma playfully greeted them while Kaede waved back.
Suddenly, a tall man came in, looking at the scene with a serious look. Everyone looked at him, even Nagisa who was pulling away from annoyed Gakushuu.
"Karasuma-sensei!" The four teens greeted the man, who was named Karasuma. Karasuma is Koro's second trusted adviser, along with Irina. Karasuma spoke in a serious voice, "I know you have the gift, the octopus is waiting for you in the main room."
Nagisa was confused why Koro, the god of the moon, was called octopus by Karasuma. Karma, remarked that Koro has great affinity with octopuses as Aguri loves octopuses. In fact, he was sometimes called "octoperv" by some people close to the moon god, due to his hidden pervert nature. It was a cute nickname for the immortal moon god.
Nagisa raised an eyebrow, he never knew about the fact that Koro was like some ordinary male, sometimes a perverted creep.
Koro was in the middle of the room, waiting for the gift, with the Kunugigaokans looking at the new arrivals with concern, happiness and relief. He raised his weird-looking eyebrow to Karma, who smiled like a demonic entity, and Kayano, who awkwardly waved at him. Kayano then looked at Koro with a concerned look, reminding him that it may not work and her opinion still stands, and the moon god smiled sadly, as he walked towards Nagisa.
Nagisa held the golden moon pendant to the immortal and Koro gently picked it up from the bluenette's hands. He looked at the pendant wistfully and removed his own crescent moon pendant from his neck and connected the two necklaces together. It fits like a puzzle piece. Takebayashi poured the potion over the necklaces and the necklaces glowed brightly.
"As two halves can be whole again, this necklace was now complete, like our love. Now, you can come back to me... Aguri."
The castle scenery changes, as it morphed into a clearing, with lots of trees around the place. There is a house in the middle, and Koro, in simple yukata he was wearing back when he was still mortal, was standing in front of the house. Nagisa, Gakushuu and the Kunugigaokans were looking from far away.
The door of the house opened, it revealed a short haired woman wearing a fancy yukata. She was short, with onyx eyes tinged with brown hues. Her short hair was adored with little hairclips and jewelry that was common for women in her time. Nagisa and the Kunugigaokans gasped from far away as they saw the woman. They saw the woman on the paintings of the castle, paintings where it was depicted Koro with his beloved wife. The woman was Aguri, the woman in the paintings and Koro's beloved wife.
It was a tearful reunion, with Koro looking at his love with a longing look as he spoke how he had missed her, and they were now reunited after a thousand years. Aguri smiled and held Koro's cheek with gentleness, but Aguri's hands glowed and slowly became transparent. Koro looked at Aguri in shock.
Aguri tearfully reveals that she can't stay any longer, as they can't be together, and Koro has to move on. Koro shook his head, screaming Aguri's name as he tried to hug Aguri and stop her from fading away, but the woman slowly floated away like how Koro had done a thousand years ago. Koro reached out desperately, trying to grab his beloved wife's hands, but Aguri faded away, smiling and saying, "I will always love you forever."
As Aguri faded away to the wind, the sliver of moonlight on the orb shatters, leaving into nothing. The time was up, and it was too late to bring Aguri back. She was gone forever.
Kaede looked at the scene sadly, as she saw her sister faded away to the wind, like how Koro has done before. She sadly remarked that she knew from the start that the ritual will never work in the first place. The curse will always plagued their fate. Also, if that was possible, you can't bring back the person long dead for a thousand years. Koro is an immortal, and Aguri isn't.
Upon hearing Kaede's sad truth, Koro was stricken with grief over the loss of Aguri once again, plunging Kunugigaoka into darkness. The god suddenly formed a protective barrier around him, forbidding anyone access to him. The Kunugigaokans were worried about their leader, Karasuma voicing his concerns.
"We can't enter the barrier, it is too powerful and no one can enters there. If there is someone that can enter it, they can't go out until Koro stopped the barrier. And knowing him, he will stay like that forever."
Irina continued, "He really loved Aguri very much, and did everything to make her come back. But we all know that it is impossible. Kayano-san was different from Aguri-san's case. That curse..."
Nagisa was confused, "How Aguri was different from Kayano?"
Karasuma looked at the moon good and sighed, " There is actually a story that was actually not included in the tales that you humans say about Koro and Aguri. When Aguri picked the magic peach and made a potion for Koro to drink, a powerful sorcerer named Shiro was very angry. He wanted the peach to himself, to be immortal forever. When he found out that the magic peach was gone, and hearing the news that a mere mortal became immortal after drinking a potion containing the peach, he was pissed. Of course, he can't curse Koro, as he was now immortal and now in the moon, so Shiro cursed the one who made the potion, the unfortunate Aguri. He used a forbidden spell to curse her."
Gakushuu asked, "Let me guess, the curse was not to let Aguri reunited with Koro forever??"
Irina nodded, "Yes. Aguri's spirit and Koro can't be reunited until the curse is broken. Shiro had announced that the curse should be broken before the last sliver of moonlight in the orb shatters, or Aguri be gone forever. But unfortunately, the curse was too powerful, even the gods can't easily lift it without trouble. Even Koro, who now revered as the god of the moon. But he tried everything to break the curse for a thousand years, and this is his chance to do it right. But he failed. That sliver of light was gone. Now Aguri is gone, and Koro can't bring her back forever."
Nagisa and the Kunugigaokans were worried when they heard the words. Even Gakushuu, who shows slight concern. Nagisa stepped forward and into the barrier's end, touching the barrier, expecting it to feel like a wall. They all were shocked when his hands passed through the barrier. Nagisa looked at the depressed god of the moon and determined to enter the barrier. Gakushuu stopped him, his hands touched the barrier. Unlike Nagisa, it never passed through.
"Are you crazy?! What if you will be stuck there forever? I can't go home without you, I still have a future on Earth!"
Nagisa sighed as he smiled, "The moon's guiding light will be gone if we don't do something."
He went inside, ignoring the pleas of Karma and Kaede telling him to stop. Nagisa walked towards Koro, who was curling up into a ball.
"Koro-sama? It's me, Nagisa. The effeminate boy? I want you to know the Kunugigaokans needed you..."
Nagisa went to reach Koro, but something... Or someone stopped him. It was the vision of his father. Nagisa widened his eyes in shock and sadness as he looked towards his father, reaching his hand to hold his father’s face once again. He cried, as he screamed for his father to come back. But like Aguri, the vision floated away, leaving Nagisa depressed. Nagisa curled up to a ball in sadness, as the memories of the happy times rushed over him.
Meanwhile, Gakushuu, Karma and Kaede tried hard to break the barrier, but it was no use. Gakushuu punched the barrier but it wouldn't budge. He may not admit it, but he is started to care about Nagisa. Kaede tearfully screamed as she pounded in the glass in desperation. In her desperation, she revealed a secret Gakushuu was shocked for: Nagisa was Kaede's descendant.
Kaede had apparently died in her 20s when she give birth to a baby boy, her first child. Before dying, she gave her sister's necklace to her son as a reminder of her sister's love for her husband. It became a family hairloom, and Nagisa got it from his father thousand of years later.
Karma comforted Kaede as Gakushuu looked towards the greenette and Nagisa in shock.
Meanwhile, Koro had noticed Nagisa crying towards the vision of his father before it fades away. Koro felt sadness as he looked towards the depressed bluenette, he realized that both he and Nagisa are similar. Both of them lost a loved one and grieving over their loss. He floated towards Nagisa and gently lifted the teen's head.
Nagisa looked at the moon god with a tearful gaze, as the moon god sadly smiled, speaking in a soft voice, "You don't belong here, Nagisa-kun. You have a family to come back to. Don't drown in sadness like I did, you are still young. I know it hurts to let go of them, but we had to move on and be happy with the ones we currently have. You will remember the moments with them, but we can make new ones. You have your mother who needed you, your new stepfather to support you, and a new brother to love you."
Nagisa looked down as he spoke in a soft voice, looking towards the moon god's dark eyes "It's not too late for you to move on too." Aguri may be gone, but they are still there." Nagisa pointed out to the teenagers who stood outside the barrier, "They needed you too."
Gakushuu punched the barrier, with Karma punching along with him. "Nagisa-kun, I know we are not in good terms, but we will try to work this out! Because we are now a family!" With one last punch, the barrier shattered, as Gakushuu and the Kunugigaokans rushed in to greet Koro and Nagisa.
Nagisa hugged Gakushuu tightly, as Gakushuu, still uncomfortable in hugging people, squirmed before giving up. Kaede smiled at Nagisa, while Karma patted his back.
All Kunugigaokans rushed towards the moon god, as they hugged the crying moon god. Ritsu, Okuda and Kurahashi was crying loudly, hugging Koro tightly. Karasuma and Irina stayed behind, but they were smiling at the joyful event.
Later on, Koro and the Kunugigaokans are ready to say goodbye to Nagisa and Gakushuu. Koro had apologized to Karma and Kaede for banishing them from the kingdom, as they were just trying to make him happy by moving on and focus on the ones who loved him now. Karma just laughed and said that it was fine, traveling was fun and exciting, that he gets to pick fights easily outside without Koro scolding him, making the moon god slapped Karma's head playfully. Kaede snorted as Karma hugged Nagisa and Gakushuu tightly as he admitted he was going to miss them, Kaede giving Nagisa a quick peck in the cheek. Nagisa blushed pink over the actions. Koro happily gives Nagisa the picture of Koro and Nagisa together, as proof. Nagisa clutched the photo with happiness, as Gakushuu rolled his eyes.
With the octopuses flying them away, Gakushuu and Nagisa returned to Earth. To a human observer on Earth, they are like shooting stars. Nagisa looked at the photo in his hand, and saw the photo is fading away. Nagisa realized that he didn't need proof, so he let the photo floated away in the wind as they fall towards the Earth.
Months after, Hiromi and Gakuho had married. Hiromi changed for the better, and Nagisa is happy that his mother is now happy in life. His brother, Gakushuu, started to warm up to him.
They celebrated the March 13th festival with their relatives by eating mooncakes and sweets while sharing stories of Koro and Aguri. Nagisa laughed at some of the story as he looked out at the moon. The moon was glowing bright, as if it was acknowledging Nagisa.
After the mooncake eating, Hiromi was with Nagisa, looking at the moon with a serene look in their faces. They remembered the memories of the past, but there is no heartbreak now. Hiromi apologized about how she acted towards Nagisa ever since his father died, and Nagisa smiled as he hugged his mother tightly. As they playfully chasing each other in the night sky, the moon shone brightly than ever, as a beautiful swan in a lake flew towards the moon.
-----
So what do you think about it? I tried hard to fit the Assassination Classroom elements to Over the Moon, add some twists and new ideas, and hoping that there is not a character that is too OOC.

Rom-com anon back again, this time with the actual au people signed up for! Today’s topic: TakaRitsu and cooking!
Or why Ritsu should not be left to his own devices with cooking and even being supervised under An-chan is cautionary thing certain times of the year.
Because Ritsu isn’t incompetent per say, he can make a couple basic dishes and they usually taste pretty decent. He knows enough that he could probably survive on his own without dying of malnutrition or killing someone.
Except when it comes to Valentine’s Day: the Russian Rollete of Ritsu’s cooking abilities.
Because their first Valentine’s days together, Ritsu wanted to do something special, something different than traditional gifts, for his beloved Saga-senpai. So of course he decides, despite having never cooked a day in his life before hand or having any basic knowledge of what happens while cooking, to make a chocolate curry, because everyone loves chocolate and everyone loves curry, obviously you need to combine them for maximum satisfaction!
Let’s just say that resulted in Saga, who was too deep in love at this point to even consider not eating this health hazard, eating all of it and then a fun trip to the hospital while Ritsu horrifically sobs about maybe accidentally killing his boyfriend. He ended up all right in the end, but it was a case of food poisoning the doctor was amazed was even accomplished in the first place.
After that Ritsu learned to make cookies from An-chan that didn’t almost murder the love of his life, which is usually what happens for Valentine’s Day but every now and then Ritsu things: “what if I tried something different? Did something unique??” Which has very similar results with the added bonus of Yokazawa lecturing him until Takano is good to leave the hospital, to which he turns and lectures Takano for eating in the first place. Neither have learned their lesson and Valentine’s Day is now Yokazawa’s most hated holiday.
On the other hand, we have Takano, housewife extraordinaire, who once read that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach and proceed to polish his cooking skills to mastery level with the mindset that if he’s a good enough cook, Ritsu will never leave him and love him forever.
Then as this man got more into it, he took more interest in the nutritional aspect and has become like a smug pet owner as Ritsu flourishes under his cooking that Takano precisely calculated Ritsu’s exact nutritional requirements to include while also tasting amazing. Like every time he sees Ritsu eat his cooking, this man just emits the arrogant aura of “hahaha no one will ever take Ritsu for me or provide for him like I do!!”
And you know this man makes the most lovey-dovey, Instagram worthy bentos for Ritsu. And this doesn’t stop when they are working together. So one day Kisa will be like “oh what did you bring for lunch Ricchan?” and Ritsu will just casually show his bento that looks like it was professional made that has the egg omelet cut into hearts and the words “I love you” made out of salmon on a bed of rice and just dripping and love and devotion and this man suddenly understands why Yokazawa always looks so exhausted whenever he’s in 15 feet of Takano and Ritsu being the absolute worst at hiding their relationship.
(They lose all braincells and become lovestruck fools whenever they are around each other your honor, and not even food is safe from their lovey-dovey shenanigans)
Ah, serotonin how I have missed you. You have me imagining Takano trying to cook but then Ritsu is just too adorable with his eyebrows furrowed in frustration and he keeps almost cutting his hand with the knife and he scowls at the incredients he's supposed to use like they're an enemy and Takano can't help but kiss him and oh no there goes their lesson 🙃 I am not okay. Also. I need. Ritsu and Takano to have a food fight. A smear of butter ends up on Ritsu's nose. Takano has some on his forehead. Please this is very important to me. Rom com anon once again you give me so much life and I feel a lot better today was a rough day thank you for your service 💜

looking from the outside - s. tomohito
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You felt left out before, but it hurts even more when your childhood friend/crush leaves you out.
Word Count: 994 (so close to 1k,,,)
Genre: One Sided Love, Angst with a Happy Ending, Fluff
Pairing: Sugino Tomohito x Reader
a/n: i knew the assassination classroom fandom was alive somehow, yall are little gremlins hiding in the closet until you find a blog that does requests for your boys >:((
Tumblr media
Now, you never expect to get pulled into the E Class antics, even though you weren’t in E Class but Sugino seemed to trust you to help them and not tell anyone else about Korosensei. But one of the few things you noticed every time you visited E Class, it was the way Sugino looked at Kanzaki. He never looked at you like that. You wished he did though, but you were merely reduced to his childhood friend and that was all you could be.
You couldn’t spend as much time with him since he was in E Class and you were in A Class, not to mention you were the vice president, so you were always busy either way. The only time you could spend time with him was after school but sometimes he would get caught up with his E Class friends. In a way, you resented E Class but he looked so happy with everyone, how could you be mad?
You had even made some friends with E Class and that made you more frustrated because they were so nice. You had even met Kanzaki and she was so nice to you. You could see why he liked her so much. You wanted to be mad at her for stealing your chances with your best friend but you couldn’t bring yourself to get angry. You figured it would never happen anyways.
It’s after school right now. You were mostly waiting for Sugino as you usually walked home with me. You avoid the eyes of your classmates as you plug your headphones into your phone, putting on your headphones in the process. You play one of your songs in your playlist and of course it had to be the one you related to pretty well.
You were out of my league Got my heartbeat racing If I die don't wake me 'Cause you are more than just a dream
You’re muttering the lyrics under your breath and you’re so focused on it, you don’t even realize that Sugino has arrived.
“Hey y/n-chan!” You nearly jump before greeting him with a small smile. “What song are you listening to? Can I listen?” You nodded, giving him an earbud to listen. You can feel your heart racing just a little bit when your hand brushes against his as you both walk to the neighborhood you lived him.
As you both listened to the song, he had started to ramble about E Class. There was a few things you didn’t understand which only worsened that jealous feeling in your heart. You felt left out. How much were you missing? How much do you not know when it comes to Sugino? What else do they do in that class? You felt like the friend that was only there for the sake of being there.
Finally you arrive home, Sugino bids you goodbye as you do the same to him. Walking to your room, you go to your desk to start studying like usual. But of course it was hard when you keep thinking about your best friend and his liking to Kanzaki. There’s a wretched feeling in your heart as you continue to think, no, believe, that he would love Kanzaki and you would still be named, “Sugino’s childhood friend.” But maybe you would settle for that. He never really showed any signs that he liked you that way you liked him, he never said anything that would be a sign as well. You can feel yourself losing hope.
The next day comes by and you’re called by E Class for your assistance with a plan. It was a plan they would execute when they would go on the trip to Okinawa. You had to help perfect it along with Ritsu. While you did that with Ritsu, you listened to the conversations around you. More specifically the conversation with Nagisa, Karma and Sugino.
“When are you gonna confess to her?”
“I don’t know yet really...” You glance and see that Sugino’s face is pink with embarrassment.
“You should do it soon, we only have so much time left.” Karma referred to the fact that the world might just blow up. “If we’re gonna be dead soon, might as well do the things we would never do.” He comments. You start to tune everyone else out, only listening to Ritsu and others who were helping perfect the plan. Unbeknownst to you, your best friend has been looking at you after you tuned everything else out.
Days pass by and the only thing that’s been in your mind was who Sugino was gonna confess to. You automatically assumed it would be Kanzaki but there was no signs that he had confessed to her. It’s after school once again and you’re about to walk home with Sugino. You’re more deep in thought than usual and your best friend notices.
“You okay, y/n-chan?” He asks you.
“Yeah, just really in thought.” You’re quiet for a moment. “Do you like Kanzaki-san?” You asked. Might as well rip it off like a bandaid at this point. You tell yourself.
“What do you mean?”
“Do you like her as more than a friend?”
“What made you get that idea?”
You’re quiet, gathering your thoughts to respond to him. “You don’t look at her the way you look at me, you seem to be brighter around her.” Your voice is soft but he can hear you loud and clear. “You just seem happier around her.”
“That’s not true! I like you, y/n!” You look at him in disbelief and shock.
“You like me?”
“I’ve always liked you!” He said with a soft smile. “Do you like me too?”
“Of course I do.” You hit him on the head lightly while he laughs. “I really thought you liked Kanzaki-san...” You muttered. “I felt left out for a while.”
“Well, I’m here for you now.” He smiled brightly, his hand moving towards yours to hold it.

Symphony Saga: Resonate summary/outline
Chapter 1
(Introduce the lore and conflict as Uta/Defoko and her life/surroundings are introduced.)
Uta Utane (AKA Defoko,) 14 years old, is an artificial humanoid from a dystopian planet (Discord) where music is banned and kept a secret by the government. This planet mass-produces androids. This planet is at war with another dystopian planet (Monochrome) and they both produce androids for the purpose for fighting the war. Due to a manufacturing error, the one of the “Default female-1” (codenamed “Defoko”) androids ended up significantly more sentient. She hated the war and fighting, so she rebelled. Defoko feels very depressed and empty about her life, and hates being a machine.
Chapter 2
One fateful day, Defoko, using her advanced aerospace engineering intellect, completes a high-speed “disappearing” spacecraft she was building so that can flee from the planet unnoticed. She arrives at the magical world of Whimsica where things are better on December 3rd. Defoko changes her name to Uta Utane, after some kanji she saw on the sign of a karaoke cafe around her new home.
Uta chose to name herself after kanji from the cafe, because the musical sounds coming from the building made her feel something “warm and poignant.” The night when she visited the cafe, Taya and his friend Ritsu were inside, having a session of singing karaoke. Taya was singing a solo in attempt to get over his shyness. The sound Uta fell in love with was actually Taya’s singing voice.
Uta begins living alone in a small, worn-down apartment. She acquires a part-time job repairing computers to make ends meet.
Uta would describe herself as being self-aware, but lacking the ability to feel euphoria. (Think of it as a sort of depression.) She wishes she were a “real girl” so she could feel this emotion. Despite this, Uta is a very kind, considerate, wisecracking, and compassionate spirit...
On Whimsica, she is still very lonely for now.
That night, Uta sleeps and she has her first dream, because she experienced something that gave her life a meaning (music.) She hears music in her dream and it makes her happy, but when she wakes up, she cannot explain the sensations she felt.
Chapter 3
Uta enrolls herself in the local magical high school, as she is still a young teen and she wants to meet friends. It is her first time going to a proper school. Her new school is very strange. Along with human students, there is also an array of supernatural humanoids, talking animals, anthromorphs (furries,) other creatures, and even... talking objects!?
Even if that is true, Uta sadly feels she still doesn’t fit in.
On her first day at school, Uta‘s first period class is cooking class. She ends up making the confections explode, and gets a scolding and awful grade from the teacher, Miriam. She doesn’t feel like she fits in. On her way to her second-period class, Uta ends up meeting Taya Soune, her shy 15-year-old classmate.
Taya is very late to his second period class because a mean bully girl named Tei Sukone threw his monocle in the big wishing well and ran off, leaving Taya having to change into his wetsuit, dive in the well and find his monocle, and then go back to the dressing room and change back into his suit and tie outfit. Uta meanwhile is wandering the chaotic hallways of the school, completely lost.
Sometimes in Adventure Academy, when class is in session and students are supposed to be in class, there is a small chance of a monster spawning in the hallways. If a student needs to visit the bathroom or walk down the hall for any reason during a class session, a hall pass can protect students from these monsters.
A monster ends up spawning in the hall as Uta and Taya cross paths. It’s six feet tall and looks like a cross between a penguin, bear, and snake. And it has lots of neon spikes. Neither Taya or Uta have a hall pass on them, so it attacks them!
In Whimsica, monsters are creatures with no souls that typically do nothing but cause destruction. They are mostly made of negative emotions.
Taya may have some magic, but isn’t very good at fighting, so Uta uses her epic android powers to protect them both ad defeat the monster. Uta has a magical machine gun type of pistol, a force field shield, and teleportation powers, and something like The Force to fling large objects with psychic power.
When monsters in Whimsica are defeated, they sometimes drop various kinds of items. The monster drops game tickets to use in the arcade. Uta doesn’t know what they are.
Taya thanks Uta profusely for defeating the monster. He is in awe of the new student’s powers and asks where she is from. Uta is very shy, which Taya doesn’t expect since she is so good in battle. She has a quiet voice that sounds monotone and a bit artificial. Uta finally spits out that she is an android from space. Taya realizes Uta may be sensitive about this, so he vows to try and keep this secret...
Taya tells Uta his name and begins to get to know her. He is quite friendly and guides Uta on her way to her second period class, magic class, which they have together. After school, Taya says he will go to the mall with Uta and show her the arcade, and use the game tickets they acquired from the monster.
Chapter 4
Uta’s third period is math class, which Taya isn’t in. She feels lonely again and thinks about Taya. But then, she ends up meeting two new friends named Teto and Momo, who welcome her to the school. Taya’s third period class is music class. He has this class with with Ritsu, along with Ritsu’s other good friend, Ruko. Taya tells Ritsu about the kind and cool new student named Uta, but not the fact that Uta is an android from space. Ritsu notices that Taya seems to be fond of Uta, which is great, because he notices Taya seems lonesome a lot and wants him to come out of his shell more. Ritsu then offers to help Taya become more social, by offering him friendship and introducing him to Ruko as well. Taya is overjoyed to have a closer bond with Ritsu and another friend in Ruko.
After third period class, is lunch break, and everyone meets up together. Uta introduces Taya, Ritsu, and Ruko to herself, Teto, and Momo. They become a group of six.
For fourth period, Uta has computer coding with Ritsu. Taya has cooking class with Teto and Momo, and Ruko is alone in language arts.
In fifth period, everyone has gym class together.
Finally, in sixth period, Uta and Taya have Whimsica Geography class together. Everyone else is together in dance class.
Uta starts opening up to Taya when she feels she can trust him. By the end of the school day, they are friends.
“I want to be a real girl.” Uta somberly tells him then. “I want to have a soul. As an android, I cannot truly feel joy.”
However, Taya believes that Uta is already a real girl, and that she has a beautiful soul. He is determined on his quest to help Uta feel true happiness.
Chapter 5
After school, everyone else is busy, and only Uta and Taya have free time. Taya takes Uta to the arcade. Uta hears all kinds of music at the arcade. Taya has never seen Uta so entranced before. Uta asks Taya why these sounds make her feel so alive. Taya tells Uta that they are more than just sounds, they have feelings and soul, and are called “music.” Uta falls in love with music. When she hears it, she becomes indescribably enthralled.
At the arcade, Taya plays a dance game and gets a pretty high score. Apparently, it’s Taya’s favorite game at the arcade and he has had a lot of practice every chance he could get. Uta is mesmerized as she watches Taya dance to the music. Uta is a bit shy to dance herself, but a spacecraft piloting game catches her attention. Uta plays the game and gets an incredibly high score, and ends up attracting a crowd of people in awe of her skills. Uta ends up getting a huge output of coins to exchange for prizes. When Uta and Taya put their coins together, they have enough to buy a brand-new karaoke machine that even comes with three karaoke albums to sing to!
Music had awoken something deep in Uta’s soul. It’s a feeling of excitement, thrill, and comfort, but also immense yearning. Uta feels she wouldn’t be truly happy unless she would be able to compose music and sing. Taya sees Uta staring longingly at the karaoke machine.
“Oh, would you like the karaoke machine?” Taya asks Uta. “If so, it can be all yours. I already have something like it. I think it would be great for you. You want to sing, don’t you? You’ll get to experience music even more!”
“Thank you.” Uta says. “But... I’m afraid I can’t.”
Uta looks incredibly forlorn.
“Why?” Taya asks softly. “What do you mean?”
Uta explains that she feels she wouldn’t be able to sing or compose music, since one needs a heart to be able to make music. Uta is convinced she doesn’t have one. Also, can a being with an artificial voice really sing?
Taya can tell how much Uta longs to create music. He hugs her gently and tells her a story. Taya thought he couldn’t sing either at first, because he was too shy. But thanks to an old friend he has, he found the courage to keep trying back then. Taya promises he will help Uta however he can as well.
Taya ends getting a bit emotional... Uta ends up getting emotional too. They end up holding up the line. Merli, a snobby girl from school, is next in line. She rolls her eyes and says “Oh PLEASE.”
Taya ends up developing feelings for Uta. Her story and dream pulls at his heartstrings. He feels very sincerely for her.
Chapter 6
They end up buying the karaoke machine and go back to Uta’s apartment. Taya calls his parents and tell them he is at a friend’s house. Taya supports Uta with her dream and teaches her the first steps to singing. They have their first singing lesson.
Taya is a bit shy with singing in front of Uta, but he is determined to be a good vocal coach. He looks back to the exercises he did with Ritsu in attempt to get over his shyness. As Taya sings, Uta recognizes his voice as “the sound that awakened her soul” back when she first came to Whimsica, but she keeps quiet about it due to being bashful.
It takes a while, but Uta finally figures out how to match pitch. She is able to vocalize simple tunes, but still has a long ways to go...
Chapter 7
The next day before first period, Teto sees one of the non-humanoid students in the school getting bullied in the hallway. The bullies are Lily, Mizki, Merli, and Galaco, the snobby girl clique. They are surrounding and throwing paper at poor Inuhebi, a cute, sluggish limbless creature with a snake’s body and a dog’s head.
Teto is a little apprehensive to face up to them, but knows she has to do something.
“Like, wow. Being fabulous is like, so last year.” Teto says.
“As if. Last time I checked, you weren’t exactly a notable figure.” Mizki says.
“Who needs to be? I’m so sorry you guys can’t just have fun without worrying about who’s on top.” Teto rolls her eyes.
“Shut it, clownface.” Galaco says.
“Yup, that’s me! I’m clownface!” Teto laughs. And laughs, and pulls out a horn and honks it and does a cheesy little dance.
“Ugh. Let’s get outta here.” Merli says.
Teto successfully chased away the mean girls.
Teto goes up to little Inuhebi and asks if he’s okay. Inuhebi isn’t hurt, but he’s sad because he can’t move very fast, and is bullied a lot and is usually late for class.
“Hmm... how about you be my buddy? I’ll carry you on my shoulder. We’ll always be together!” Teto said. “Then you’ll never be late again, and I’ll always be there for you!”
Inuhebi is so happy that he cries tears of joy. Teto lifts him up and lets him ride on her shoulder.
It turns out that Uta, Taya, Teto, Momo, Ritsu, and Ruko all have first period together, but they just didn’t notice before. Inuhebi also has first period with everybody. Teto introduces Inuhebi to the rest of the group, and they are now a group of seven.
“Oh yeah... you were the girl who made the kitchen explode!” Ruko says to Uta, remembering the previous day. Uta is a bit embarrassed.
Momo is the best cook in the class, so she offers to teach Uta a bit how to cook on the side. Taya is very great with cooking and baking as well.
Taya, trusting the others, tells them about Uta’s dream, but is vague about the fact that she is an android from space. Everyone in the group finds that they have an interest in singing in common.
“Hey, since we all like to sing, how about we start up a music group?” Inuhebi suggests.
“Sure!” Momo replies. “That would be fun!”
“That would be great!” Ritsu says. “But what will we name it?”
Everyone begins thinkng long and hard about it...
Chapter 8
Later that day, the group of seven go to the music store together.
Afterwards, everyone goes to Uta’s house and have a karaoke party session.
Uta feels awful and dejected however when it’s her time to sing, however. Everyone else sang so amazingly, and Uta can barely carry a simple tune at this point.
“It doesn’t matter how well you sing, Uta...” Taya reassures her. “It’s about being happy and doing your best. We all want to hear you.”
Everyone cheers Uta on. She takes a deep breath and begins singing “When You Wish Upon A Star” but messes up a bit and stops the music.
“I can’t do it.” She says, her entire body shaking.
“Uta, don’t give up!” Taya says. “I’ll sing with you this time. Will that help?”
Uta nods and tries to calm down.
They take turns singing lines from the song. Uta finally is able to sing the last few on her own. Taya comes in and harmonizes with, her and Uta is amazed at how they were able to sound together.
Everyone claps for both of them. It’s a wonderful feeling Uta wants to treasure forever.
“This moment resonates in me.” Uta says.
Chapter 9
(More stuff happens I guess)
Eventual Chapters
Taya eventually hears Uta practicing her singing by herself a lot. At first Uta is very upset and discouraged because she just can’t seem to control her voice well. Eventually, Tei Sukone, who bullies Uta and Taya, says Uta should just give up. “She’s just a robot, right?” Tei says. “Robots don’t have souls. They don’t have what it takes to sing.”
Uta feels deeply hurt and discouraged by this comment and considers maybe she wasn’t meant to sing. Afterwards, Ritsu becomes very angry with Tei... but he also has things to say to Uta as well. “Are you really going to give up just like that?” Ritsu criticizes Uta. “Don’t be so weak-willed!” Uta begins crying. Taya comforts Uta and tells Ritsu he was a bit harsh. Uta was already feeling hurt enough.
Uta doesn’t give up, runs off somewhere, and sings all day with bad technique and without any breaks until she passes out alone. Taya searches around town for Uta and finds her unconscious. Everyone is extremely worried. Ritsu gets a chance to apologize to Uta and says he just wanted to see her fulfill her dream and would’ve been as crushed as Uta if she were to have given up. He didn’t mean to be so harsh. Ritsu and the rest of Uta’s friends reassure her and recommend her to take breaks and exercise better technique.
Uta’s friends help her the best they can, and Uta begins practicing singing nearly every chance she gets, but this time with breaks and good technique. Taya can tell that Uta really loves music and is truly determined. Eventually he’s impressed and blown away by how far she gets. Even though Uta was never programmed to be able to sing, she eventually begins to develop a unique singing voice through hours upon hours of practicing painstakingly.
Eventually there is a part where Taya, along with the rest of the group of Uta’s good friends (Teto, Momo, Ritsu, and Ruko) are captured because they were accused of stealing (deforcing) “Defoko” away from the planet that produced her. Uta is taken back there as well, but she uses the combat powers she kept hidden for a long time to bust out.
Uta then fights her own creators with a power that is foreign (and deadly) to them.... The power of song! The power of love, and passion, and heart, and... joy! The evil aliens do not stand a chance against the power of Uta’s magical song and voice.
“Defoko! When the heck did you learn to produce a singing voice? This isn’t what you were programmed to do! Stop this madness, right this instant!” They tell her.
Uta does not give them mercy. They took her precious friends. They continue to manufacture androids that cannot feel joy. This needs to stop right now!
Uta ends up destroying the entire sinister operation, and also starts the dystopian planet Discord down its path to peace. However, Monochrome, the ultimate enemy in the story, still won’t budge...
After this feat, and rescuing her dear friends, Uta fulfills herself and unlocks her magical girl transformation. In Whimsica, magical transformations are unlocked when the user “fulfills” themself, symbolizing that they’ve overcome a difficult hurdle, accomplished a wonderful goal, or opened the door to their true self.
Now that Uta is fulfilled, she unlocked the power herself to be able to experience euphoria. All the other androids that were produced by her shady manufacturer also gained the ability to feel joy as well.
Uta had slain the chains in her heart and will live on happily with Taya and the rest of her friends.
“This moment resonates in me.” Uta says.
“Wait, that’s it...” Taya says. “Resonate... that’s a perfect name for our music group! We should call ourselves Resonate!”
Uta’s three siblings are also androids created by the same planet who admire her and want to be her siblings after she ends up saving them. They are related in a sense since they were created by the same “company.”
But this is not the end of the story with everyone.
Now it’s time for Taya’s story.
Taya hasn’t seen Saya for years... He is beginning to lose hope that she’s still alive...
Taya Soune and Saya Toune were childhood best friends who grew up someplace else. However, one day when they were both 12, Saya became depressed, and it was hard for Taya to watch his friend suffer. Some time afterwards, an earthquake hit the area and everyone had to take only their most important items and evacuate rapidly before a tsunami were to hit. Taya had to move to his current location, and had to leave Saya without saying goodbye. He never saw Saya again.
After this incident, Taya never got a phone call from Saya, or a letter or any hint she might’ve still been alive and out there. It wouldn’t have been unlikely that Saya and her family had died tragically in the earthquake or aftermath tsunami.
Taya is now left with a heavy, broken heart, and an intense fear of earthquakes. He is most torn apart that the fact that Saya had depression and the last few months before her departure to be so sad.
One day in the present, Uta, Taya, and the rest of the friend group are out at the mall. A song comes on that reminds Taya of his memories with Saya. He begins fighting back tears, but eventually starts sobbing and splits from the group, telling everyone he needs a moment alone. Everyone is concerned. Uta approaches Taya gently after he calms down. Taya then tells Uta about Saya, their story, and how much he misses his friend.
Uta is the first person Taya tells about Saya since he had moved. None of his other friends knew about the sadness he hid in his heart.
It had been years since Saya’s disappearance. Taya has pretty much lost all hope at this point.
Uta reassures Taya that he still shouldn’t give up hope. Uta’s words uplift Taya with a new hope that he had never before felt.
One day when Taya is feeling useless, Uta consoles him and tells him something she was too shy to say before.
“Taya, your voice was the sound that awoken my soul. When I first came to Whimsica, I walked past the karaoke cafe, and I heard you sing. It was the first time I had ever heard music. You sang so wonderfully, and I felt so warm. I felt then, that music was a truly amazing thing. It was you who changed my life Taya... So please, don’t feel sad.”
Eventually, it turns out that Saya is actually still alive. One fateful day, Taya and Saya reunite. Saya becomes a part of Uta and Taya’s group of friends.

chapter 84 is the best chapter of fruits basket and you can’t change my mind
chapter 84 is the chapter where we finally get the full story on yuki’s childhood. at this point in the story, yuki is doing better; he was able to admit to himself that he will “open the lid,” but that he doesn’t have to push the issue, and that he loves tohru and feels safe confiding in her. this is relevant to chap 84 because of its framing device: yuki confiding in kakeru. immediately before this yuki gets trapped in a storage closet and knocks over a bucket of paint, causing a flashback that triggers a panic attack. the fact that yuki feels comfortable and validated talking to tohru makes him feel like he can talk to kakeru as well, which is a big step for yuki, who, up until now, has been extremely private.
this is, hands down, my favorite chapter of fruits basket. it is artistically stunning, emotionally poignant, and an unbelievable insight into yuki’s character and the effects that neglect and emotional abuse can have on a person. now join me as i analyze......nearly every single page in this chapter :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the third page of this chapter indicates something very important: that we are in yuki’s head. not just that the chapter is yuki’s point of view, which was indicated on the first page through narration, but that we are literally seeing from his eyes. the angle of the servant’s hand and the wideshot of akito are both from his sightline. in this chapter we are yuki, without the bias of kyo, akito, or ayame, the lenses we have experienced yuki’s childhood through so far.
Tumblr media
fruits basket’s costume design is impeccable in general, but i especially love the choices in this chapter. i love the juxtaposition of akito wearing a kimono against yuki’s western suit. i wouldn’t say fruits basket is a story about east vs west, but i would say it highlights traditional values clashing with modern ones. yuki is going from his mother’s world, a character who we only see wearing western-style clothing and living in a fairly western-style house (for a sohma, anyway) to an uber-traditional setting that, for yuki, becomes a cage. it’s worth noting that the very next time we see yuki, he is wearing a formal kimono.
Tumblr media
(akito, shigure, and ritsu are the only characters we see wearing kimono in everyday life. from a functionality standpoint, it’s because kimono are expensive, cumbersome, and in modern japan, very formal. that being said, yuki would have grown up during the lost decade, where showing off signs of wealth was frowned upon. akito seems to be the only one who wears kimono regularly during the height of the lost decade, though japan was still struggling economically into the early 2000s, when the majority of fruits basket takes place)
Tumblr media
this little scene is one of my favorite scenes in all of fruits basket. it’s gorgeously drawn, and encapsulates what it meant to be yuki sohma before meeting tohru better than anything else in the manga.
i don’t think it’s a mistake that yuki is wearing western-style clothing here; in the page right before this one, he witnesses some servants speaking distastefully of kyo, and i doubt this is the first time he’s heard someone speak of kyo this way. even as young as he is, i think he knows that talking to kyo is taboo, especially for the rat. yuki has never been accepting of his role in sohma family’s traditions, and speaking to kyo in it of itself is a small act of rebellion. he is stepping out of line in the only ways he knows how.
the fact that kyo is an outsider is not just a metaphor here; he is physically standing outside akito’s room, excluded from the new year’s celebration inside. yuki, who in the pages previous had just had it established to him that he is not wanted by his mother,
Tumblr media
his brother,
Tumblr media
or the other zodiacs,
Tumblr media
thinks maybe, maybe, this other boy who has also been thrown out and rejected by his own family could understand him.
Tumblr media
the next page takes us out of yuki’s head for a moment to show us his reaction to kyo’s words. the low angle highlights yuki’s defensive position, shoulders slumped and hands pulled into his chest, versus kyo’s solid stance, feet shoulder width apart and hands balled into fists at his side.
in kyo’s first close-up, he is silent, just another wide-eyed child. but here, he has become the cat, pupils slitted and teeth bared, screaming the exact words yuki does not want to hear. kyo’s humanity is conditional to the other zodiacs, and for kyo, the same goes for yuki.
Tumblr media
i am never not impressed by takaya’s ability to show emotion. it reminds me of how those big, fat, overwhelming ghibli tears look the way crying feels; that is what this expression is to me. hands curled protectively over his front, flushed and wide-eyed and at a loss for words—i know exactly what that expression feels like on the inside. it’s so intimate and immediate, and we are instantly pulled out of it by the jarring slap from his mother, a panel with no color grading, backgrounds, or faces.
Tumblr media
yuki himself is so shocked by this that we are abruptly pulled out of his point of view, looking at his mother’s angry face through a medium shot, yuki’s own reaction obscured by her jagged dialogue.
Tumblr media
i think kyo’s outburst makes yuki desperate; if even the cat can’t accept him, then his own estranged brother must be the only option.
the first shot on this page is from yuki’s sightline, looking up at his tall, bright brother, followed by ayame’s view of a much smaller, shadowed yuki that is partially obscured by his own panel. takaya loves using negative space, and i think it is especially poignant in this panel. the majority of this shot is negative space, the gap between yuki’s hand and ayame’s arm swallowed by the rest of the empty background.
Tumblr media
i want to go back a few pages to talk about these panels in conjunction with the ayame page. this is the first we see of ayame in this chapter, and if you put the two pages next to each other, it is as if he is completing the action of looking over his shoulder at yuki, revealing his entire face, and then hiding it again. i also think it’s interesting that shigure is looking at yuki dead in the eyes, looking somewhat bored and somewhat amused. in a previous chapter, though, shigure does say this to ayame:
Tumblr media
i do like that shigure seems to be the only one paying attention to what is going on with yuki at this time but also chooses to do nothing about it, instead using it as a jab at ayame.
Tumblr media
and then, after yuki’s classmates approach him, there’s a pretty big change in tone; shojo sparkles, the silhouette of children playing against a big, wide sky, sun-dappled buildings and smiling faces. up until now the outside world has been featureless and empty; now it is detailed and nostalgic, and yuki’s face is clear and unobstructed. then:
Tumblr media
yuki’s carefully impassive face gets cut off gradually by the panel borders
Tumblr media
until we can’t see it at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the next three pages proceed the same way, his face obscured by the angle, his hair, or borders.
Tumblr media
until, finally, we are allowed to see yuki’s face, after being rejected any form of human kindness or affection from literally any person in his life, fading into the darkness of the sohma estate, trapped inside the proverbial sliding door.
