The information we get about Ace's girlfriend comes from his suitor suit vignette and he does not mention how they actually got together, just some of the things that they did and how boring Ace thought all of them were. And I agree! The way they broke up does not make it sound like they were friends before dating, though they could have been casual acquaintances. The way Ace likes to goof around makes me think he was probably pretty popular, and had a lot of those types of relationships. His description of the relationship makes me think he probably went out with her because he thought she was cute and that it would be fun to have a girlfriend, but didn't actually stop to think about who she was as a person or what dating actually means. And hey, he was in middle school. He was going to be a bit stupid about those sort of things. The experience seems to have made him think a lot about what he wants in a partner, and we know from Ortho he was telling the truth when he's forced to spell it out:

His voice lines flesh out what he wants a bit more; he says he thinks it's important to find someone you have fun with and that he wants to get married later in life. So Ace knows what he wants... he just gets really embarrassed when called out on it and refuses to talk honestly about his feelings (though he kind of does that in general hehe)

So flashing forward to NRC. Ace knows what he wants and Yuu is such a perfect fit it hurts. Best friends to lovers is a popular trope in fiction sure, but in real life? At a school? Yeah right, Ace still has to see them every day if they break up, and not to mention... I feel like Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Yuu sort of fell into their dynamic almost immediately after the mine adventure and didn't ever stop to think about it because of how natural the friendship felt. And Ace knows if things end badly he's losing the whole squad, so yeah. Better to just swallow this and stay where he is. He's still in school! He doesn't need to think about dating! He's got a housewarden to surpass, upperclassmen he admires, and a bunch of idiots to take care of. He can worry about dating later. Besides, these feelings will go away after graduation he's delusional sure of it!!!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch Ramshackle Yuu is literally in a living hell. Maybe they're a bit more emotionally mature than Ace and they just know this could work out but THEY CAN'T TELL IF HE LIKES THEM BACK BECAUSE HE KEEPS GETTING SHY AND MAKING JOKES FML!!!! But like he also lets them steal his gym shirt :ccc and he gets pouty when someone else makes an offer :ccc and really smug when Yuu says no ccc: so like maaaybe? Or maybe not and this meaningless flirting is all they'll ever have and they just. Try to be ok with it and they sort of hate themselves for it.

hongjoong was watching one of your old youtube videos; a reaction video to ateez. this is when you first heard about them and wanted to get into their music years ago. who would've thought that life would end up here? you dating one of the members of ateez.

hongjoong giggled at your statement, "awww you loved me from the very beginning" he teased as you read your book on the other side of the room, half embarrassed and half entertained that he was watching that video.

"actually i was talking about mingi," you said cheekily, not even bothering to look up from your book.

all you were met with was silence. too much silence that consequently caused you, after long last, to raise your head and investigate.

and what you saw was a half glare and a big pout on hongjoong's face.

"aww baby don't be sad," you giggled as you went over to him and wrapped your arms around him, "your my favourite now!" you started placing your lips on his neck, trailing then softly in just the right spots, softening him up again.

it was only a matter of time before hongjoong caught onto this. and as he looked from you, to mingi, and then back to you again, he knew there was soemthing wrong.

"Wait, is that...?" You gasped as you recognized the tall figure emerging from the car, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a case of Modelo on the other.

Immediately, you looked down at your fachas -- a pair of sweatpants and an old college hoodie, perfectly paired with some slippers. Your parents were hosting a carne asada, but your dad had assured you it would just be family around.

No one ever really dressed up for this kind of thing, but that was unless the guy you had an embarrassingly big crush on was in attendance.

You turned to glare at your dad, who was working the grill. "Apa! You invited Richie?"

"Yeah, of course! What, you didn't want him to come?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I thought you two were friends... or something."

"We are friends! It's just..." you gestured at yourself exasperatedly. "You could've given me a warning!"

"Oh please, if he doesn't like you all fodonga, then that's his problem."

You rolled your eyes, having to plaster on your best smile as Richie came closer. He greeted your mom first, kissing her on the cheek before handing her the bouquet.

"Para ti, mamá. Just for you. Pretty, right?" He said with an utterly charming grin, accepting her excited embrace. "Thank you for inviting me. Let me just put these in the cooler."

As he approached you where you stood, coincidentally right next to the cooler, he nodded and waved at a few more of your family members. Everyone seemed excited to see him, and it was as if he had always been a part of things.

"Hey, Richie," you said with an awkward little wave, feeling your cheeks heat up.

"Hey, pretty lady," he said, his handsome smile seemingly wider than before, bending down to kiss your cheek. "Todo bien?"

A pretty fierce tingle ran down your spine as you felt his stubble graze your skin, and you had to keep yourself from shuddering.

You nodded quickly. "Y-yep, all good."

He knelt to put the beer in the cooler and your dad called out behind you, "Ey, Richie! How are you, compadre?"

Richie went to greet him next, the two of them clapping each other's backs.

"Smells fucking amazing. You need help with anything?" Richie offered, his eyes momentarily flicking in your direction and meeting your gaze.

You looked away, smiling a little to yourself.

"Niña," your mom said teasingly, elbowing you a little on the side. "Is there something you wanna tell me? Are you two finally dating?"

"No! We're just friends," you said defensively. "I don't even know if he likes me like that."

8.) Obi-Wan’s favourite thing about Luminara.

Probably her compassion, insomuch that most people who don’t know her wouldn’t immediately recognise it. She’s canonically accused of being uncaring by Anakin—a lot of people don’t like her because they perceive her as callous in my experience—but I have found the opposite to be true, and I think Obi-Wan would see that too. She goes to great lengths to protect people, too great lengths he would sometimes argue, but it comes from a place of care and selflessness.

Also, she just kind of funny? She’s clever and quick and can make him laugh in a way few can.

9.) Luminara’s favourite thing about Obi-Wan.

Patience. She watched him raise Skywalker and has endless admiration for him because of it—Luminara would not have survived with Anakin as her padawan. He stays very calm under almost every circumstance—even when she’s got a mind controlling worm on her face, but his joking was more to calm her than to cause stress—and it’s something she tries to emulate.

12.) Have they ever been caught in a compromising situation by either their Padawans, Clones, or fellow Jedi?

Oh, god, yes. Master Qui-Gon used to tease them about lack of subtly all the time, Quinlan inviting himself in for threesomes, Anakin rushing into the room without warning, poor Barriss at the wrong place at the wrong time. Luminara finds it hideously embarrassing each time, she’s got a rep to maintain after all, but Obi-Wan mostly finds it funny. Except for when it was Barriss. No one was laughing after that incident, Barriss was scarred for life and has had nothing but stilted conversations with Obi-Wan ever since.

13.) Luminara’s favourite physical feature on Obi-Wan.

I think she’d quite like the beard, but that’s a newer development. His hair in general then I guess, it’s a shade you would never find on Mirial so she sees it as unique and pretty. Also his massive dick, probably.

14.) Obi-Wan’s favourite physical feature on Luminara.

I think her eyes, which is super cliché, but she has very pretty and expressive eyes. She’s very good at keeping a neutral façade so it’s hard to tell what she’s thinking most of the time, but the second he makes eye contact it’s a dead giveaway. I hc that she practices makeup on him sometimes and he does it on her in return, he likes to give her orange eyeshadow and winged liner to make the colour really stand out. He’s gotten so good at that whenever there’s a formal event she makes him do her makeup for her.

32.) If Order 66 never happened, what would their futures look like?

I think Luminara would be pretty focussed on Barriss if Order 66 never happened because she still would have bombed the temple, something like rehabilitation and desperate attempts to prevent execution. This would probably be deemed dangerous attachment by the council and put a dent in her future as a member. Don’t get me wrong, Luminara’s as Jedi as they come, but that would put some distance between the Order—though Obi-Wan would be with her every step of the way.

Anakin would probably leave, Ahsoka already gone, so there would be very little keeping Luminara and Obi-Wan there too without the war. I think they’d allow themselves a relationship whether they left or not. If they left they’d probably leave Coruscant altogether for somewhere cooler, maybe Stewjon (I’d say Mirial but Obi-Wan doesn’t deserve another desert lmao). Maybe get a cat. Be Luke and Leia’s kooky aunt and uncle.

They’re both bisexual. Maybe that’s me projecting but I mean it’s basically canon when it comes to Obi-Wan and Luminara looks like she’s kissed girls idk what to tell you.

I’d love to read ANY kenduli fanfic, that’s the truth—I’ll take any content because it’s so sparse. I have a few stories I’ll probably write at some point though if no one else does: non Jedi au because it’s fun to see everyone’s ideas about what they’d be up to if they weren’t Jedi, any post order 66 au (I’m writing one rn it’s horrifically angsty but I live for that) and anything with Barriss, Ahsoka and Anakin too.

48.) Obi-Wan’s favourite memory of Luminara and Luminara’s favourite memory of Obi-Wan.

I like to imagine that, whenever she could, Luminara was always over at Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon’s apartment and they’d spend long evening just talking on the balcony and looking over the city. Obi-Wan remembers these evenings particularly fondly because Luminara was never that carefree again.

There are lots of memories from their childhood that Luminara treasures—sneaking around and getting into trouble, him stealing her favourite dessert from the mess for her, building their lightsabers together—but her absolute favourite memory is later on as Masters watching how hard he worked to make Barriss like him. He cooks meals with her in mind if he knows she’s going to be around, offers to help with her form or research, sends her articles he thinks she might find interesting. He’s like an awkward stepdad trying to relate to his teenage stepdaughter and it’s not going well but just trying is a very quick way to Luminara’s heart.

Well, in Rouge's case, while I imagine her natural abilities is enough to get the job done at the bare minimum, any gadgets she'd have would just mainly be ones for spy work. {This also applies to those who has specific jobs.} (Unlike Tails, who often has to adapt to whatever problem is going on at the moment. Which would mean modifying or hijacking what he has on the fly. What was once a vacuum can be a flamethrower at any moment. In a way, it can actually make him a bit unpredictable, compared to those who have a specific form of combat. {Sonic's a quick thinker and uses his environment to his advantage, but would you catch him with guns?} He could be demolition, a trapper, defensive wall, setup/diversion or a summons lord. Whatever support is needed at the moment.)

In fairness, Rouge, Charmy and even Cream don't get a lot of opportunities to use their flight much other than maneuvering. Tails is more or less the same spot, be it game or adaption. (It comes down to it being used in different gameplay more, like that one Eggman boss from the original trilogy where he essentially has infinite flight. I think Tails Adventure had one too.) As far as shows which are generally free from game limitations, outside of AOSTH and Boom, they seem very keen on keeping him glued to the ground unfortunately.

What's funnier is that in Sonic X; which predates Lost World by nearly a decade, he actually did this before. At the end the episode where the Chaotix try to pair Tails with Cosmo, just before he returns the trinket she dropped earlier, you see it wrapped up in one of his tails. Just like the toothpick. And this adaption had Sega's hand on it. (And just to throw more tidbits out there: Tails using himself as a fan predates Archie and Mania, from a very old minigame from a popcorn machine. Where you see him fanning the flames, to a point where he slides a bit and has to reposition himself. And depending on how he uses this supposed tornado move in Superstars, it could be a "semi-nod" to the AOSTH episode Tails Prevails. {As well as another hc of mine being fuifilled. Tails being able to blow stuff away just makes sense})

Eye for an eye, it's a fair trade. :P (Heh, been trying to explore interactions that don't get touched on very much. Good place to start is to find a base that strongly supports both and work from there.)

I do think Tails rebuilding his weapons on the fly (hehe) is a cool idea, and I could totally see it in a comic or a cartoon, how do you implement it in the games? I guess it's not impossible to come up with an explanation... oh it could be really cool if during the game you found a "base" that you can modify into a weapon of your choice (different ones with different strengths and weaknesses), and it would make people want to replay the game to choose a different weapon and try to beat the levels with it. (Maybe there could be a weapon that is harder to use so you pick it if you want to basically pick hard mode) It all sounds really cool but I'm not sure if we could actually get it in the games though. (Plus Tails being the sidekick can't ever be cooler than Sonic, you know how it is)

I also think Rouge has an advantage here too since she can also glide and maneuver with her wings, while the kids need to constantly flap/spin to stay in the air, so I don't believe they'd be able to replicate her fighting style with all of them cool kicks. (What little we see of Rouge(s) fighting in Prime is well done I think. Tails uses a drone :| But now that I started thinking about it, it's starting to make sense but uh. He's fighting in Boom and the comics though, and I'm already suspending my disbelief by believing he can fly in the first place, soo)

(Also I don't think there's infinite flight in Tails Adventure, in Sky Patrol you're forced to constantly be flying but if you don't replenish your stamina and get tired and fall, you lose)

Nooo way. (I need to rewatch X. Someday). It actually makes me feel better because I love that silly thing and if it was even in X we might see it again, I'm taking it as a win.

Also about Superstars, Sonic and Knuckles just get their regular attacks that they have in Modern Games (punching amd homing attack if I'm remembering correctly); I hope it means that the attacks Amy and Tails get would be added to their modern gameplay later on too. (Also interesting that they're using the clear emerald for this, because in Fleetway it also had special powers compared to others even if it manifested a little differently, it was basically the ME before the ME was a thing)

One thing I find interesting when it comes to Tails and Knuckles, is their interest in history. It makes sense for Knuckles, though seems a bit out of left field for Tails (but alas he must be the exposition fairy even when Knux isn't around), I wonder if Tails got into it because of Knuckles. (Also they're both afraid of ghosts, it's funny).

"Alright, the big scenes are shot!" Johnny said, an uproar of cheers happened in the small room from actors and crew alike, especially the main man himself, Henry. "Holy shit, that's it?! Really?" Henry asked, bounding over to Johnny and seeing that he wasn't lying one bit. Overjoyed, Henry hugged on Johnny. "The big scenes are shot!" He said, louder than before, which caused another uproar of cheering and applause, Henry physically relaxing at the huge weight that was lifted off his shoulders. "Wow, this is amazing." Addison spoke, giving a small hum as Michelle barked beside him. It was her way of cheering along with the excited humans, barking. She wasn't a howler, it wasn't in her to howl. "Okay, everyone, I have treats in the back of Johnny's truck. Come out here with me. They're allergen friendly!" Henry said, leading out with plenty of people behind him. He hopped onto the bed of Johnny's truck, opening up the coolers that he had, which were both filled with brownies and granola bars that Henry had made beforehand. Let's just say, everyone was very pleased with the free food they got in turn for their help. "Ahh, these are good.. You know, if this did not work out, working at the cafe would." Sven said with a thick Swedish accent, not like anyone else around, sitting in between Calvin and Konrad with a brownie in his hand. Short, blonde hair, fair skin, but he had very little clothing on, compared to everyone else. Similar to Konrad, he was heat sensitive and got sun-burnt fairly easily. He was more so there just to meet up with the main crew, specifically Henry, but he did enjoy the kindness he got from everyone there. "Hehe, yeah. Mrs. Suave offered me a job there once, and I said I would apply if I ever needed the money." Henry said with a soft chuckle. He sat across from the three with Johnny by his side and Addison on the other, Michelle on the ground playing around with some of the other people, namely Rupert. "What else needs to happen after this? The finals have already passed, I know Calvin and Konrad are ready to hit the road." Johnny said, earning a 'cheers' from both of the brothers. "And me and Dave aren't far from leaving for our trip to see dad at the base." "The only thing that needs to happen, is the court scene, getting the place cleaned up of our stuff, and getting the.. The lease back to the county." Henry said, moving to pull the list out of his pocket. "Which, we've done a good job of cleaning up after ourselves, that's the least of my worries. The court scene can be shot easily, so we can knock that out when we get to the courthouse." "Okay, power plan." Calvin started, leaning forward so he wasn't leaning against the wall of the bed anymore. "We can clean up here before any of us leave. Me and Konrad have to head the opposite of town, so we can ditch then. Johnny and Dave have to head in town, the scene can get shot, the lease can be given, and boom; footage is in Johnny's hands, everyone can go their separate paths." "I'm down with that." Addison said, getting an agreement from Konrad and Sven, "Honestly, the sooner it gets done, the sooner we can all get home. But, Henry, we need to keep in mind that Rupert also has to get to the airport before eight tonight, and he needs to pack." Johnny pointed out. "Alright, me and Rupert can hitch on my bike, I can drop him off at the apartment for him to pack. Think you and Dave can swing by to pick him up after the filming is done?" Henry said. "Or, instead. Dave and Rupert ride with me and I drop them off there. You go ahead to the courthouse to get it ready before hand, so once I get there, we shoot it and ditch. I can drive Rupert to the airport, no problem. Not a lot of traffic, plus, it'll be on the way." Johnny said. And thus, a plan was in motion. ~~~ "Thank you so much, Felix!" Henry said, hugging the newly graduated law student tightly.  "Honestly, it's no problem at all! You know one of my favorite games is Ace Attorney." Felix said, hearing a small chuckle behind him. Well two. "Well, this has been pretty fun to do. Don't really see much in a courthouse. I see Felix embarrass himself all the time, but this is still entertaining." The judge, who's name was Hubert, spoke from his stand as he looked over the lease Henry had handed to him at the beginning. "Dad!" Felix said, his face flushing a small pink as he let go of Henry. "Пап, dad's making fun of me." He said, stifling his laughter as he looked to the other attorney. "You're almost what? Thirty-three? Still tattling on your old man?" Hubert joked. "Hubert." The warning tone of Vladimir came, earning a small 'oooo' from both Henry and Felix as Hubert and Vladimir looked to each other. "Alright, I'll lay off juuust a little. Don't expect anything less, however, when we're at home." Hubert spoke, causing Felix to roll his eyes at Vladimir's shrug of 'I tried'. "Alright, Henry. The lease came in early, still in your name. The building will be inspected to see how it is, but I'd imagine it's in better condition. Your name is off the lease." Hubert said, looking to the albino. "Have a good summer, Hen." "Yes! I'll still be in town, thank all of you! Oh, and Felix? I'll make sure your name is listed off as a Phoenix Wright joke, yeah?" Henry said, looking to the two older men. "And if I may ask-?" "You can list mine as VonBraun." Vladimir said. "Drop the Brown." "Reverse it for mine. Drop the VonBraun and keep Brown." Hubert said, earning a thumbs up from Henry as Johnny typed it into his notes. "Alright, I'm gonna head out and swing by Dave and Rupert. See ya, Henry!" As Johnny left, Henry gave Felix one last hug. "I know who to come to if I have any legal issues now." Henry joked. "I'm flattered, but also, do NOT get yourself in any legal trouble on purpose." Felix said, the three waving bye while Henry left out. "You two really went for not being married in canon, huh?" Felix said, looking to his parents. "Hey, makes it seem better. Plus, you really think Vladimir VonBraun-Brown would fit?" Vladimir spoke, causing a bit of laughter to spread through the family, as Felix began to clean up. ~~~ Few days had passed at this point. Update on everyone's placement and situation. Calvin and Konrad are currently with their grandfather in Wyoming. Henry is with Jenny and Gabe, still in Arizona. Dave and Johnny are approaching their dad's place, still on the road. Rupert is with his parents and brother, in New York. Terrence is in Arizona, helping his mom within the cafe. Sven now works at the cafe with Terrence and Mrs. Suave, in the back.   Felix has taken a vacation down to Florida with his parents. Joker's hard to talk about because he's... not anything. I love his design and his mannerisms and thats all there Is to like about a silent protagonist. I'm fond of the image of him I created in my head and some of the trends in how fanfics tend to depict him. I appreciate that because the persona writers simply did not write him he is the only character free from the persona writers' bullshit. i hesitate to say persona would be better if the protagonist wasn't silent because of this. In the blank space where the character you play as in persona 5 should be like in the outlines of his context and the small cues about him i think there's fucking interesting space to elaborate on and picture a good character. lyrics of shapeshifter (??? the poes masquerade song) are interesting in the context of a silent protagonist thats really cool, the way Arsene talks to him is interesting that's actually the most direct character we get on him right because Arsene is a facet of Joker with real set in stone dialog and what he says is aren't you tired of being nice don't you want to go apeshit. ravage them. i like akira in my head and hey i like elaborating on characters in fic and a blank one makes a very obvious space to do that so i guess thats one benefit of him not talking

they are more interesting offscreen than in ztd. largely it makes luna way cooler her being created in the image of a dead woman who she exists partly to kinda sorta bring back to life/be replaced by in a better world is sick. the secret password in the gaulem bay being "reminescence" is sad with Diana in mind. i think she is a cool backdrop of context to VLR the rhizome does get sadder going through it with her in mind. there's a lot of weird stuff to explore with how like. sigma can only meet her after she already knows him, she can only meet sigma after he already knows her. she falls in love with a dude and then he gets really essentially replaced by a very different 40 years younger version of himself and she is just kinda bound to be his anchor assistant

but whats actually in the game. i barely remember a thing about diana ever other than the happiness is closer than you think scene which is good and the two parts where delta talks to her. like i just cannot tell you much about diana she leaves very little impression on me. and ztd sigma well he doesnt really either... theyre fine? their end is one of the better parts of ztd. or at least one of the more memorable. Like most of ztd there's some theoretically interesting concepts you can expand on in fic etc but the game itself doesnt get and/or utilize the space to go into it much itself.

this.... may not come as a shock, considering that i talk a lot about music as an inspiration, but i HAVE to listen to music while i'm writing - that's not cursed, but if the fic in question is centred around one song in particular, then i'm required to listen to THAT song over and over again until i'm finished 😭😭 when i wrote motion capture, i listened to 'you are the sunshine of my life' (a two and a half minute song) for literally five hours straight as i bashed my face against the middle section and i genuinely thought i was about to lose my mind 😵‍💫😵‍💫

i read this fic a long time ago when i was deep in the LU sauce, and i genuinely think it changed me as a person - the author has the most incredible, beautiful way of writing, and this particular fic always felt like the epitome of that fairytale, folk-tale-y style that hits so so deep for me. i cry every single time, without fail, and i love it more than anything - even if you know absolutely nothing about the legend of zelda, i cannot recommend this highly enough. it does that speed-up-slow-down music-swelling final-spotlight ending that i've always wanted to be able to do, and the author absolutely nails it 😍😍😍 an honourable mention to another of their works, this is the recipe of life, which for me is THE hyrule-centric fic and i won't hear arguments to the contrary!
