#and so she wouldn’t go to Tartarus alone

Ok so I keep hearing people say Percy and Annabeth are staying together because they are trauma bonded from Tartarus and if I keep quiet about this I’ll loose my mind.
Firstly, look up the definition of a trauma bond and you’ll find out that this is an entirely different thing to what you think it is.
Also, you have things backwards, Percy didn’t love and stay with Annabeth because he fell into tartarus with her, he fell into tartarus with her because he loved her and wanted to stay with her.
Them staying together forever has nothing to do with trauma bonding, they’re staying together because they’re in love. Thank you for coming to my TED talk ✨

1 STEP FORWARD, 3 STEPS BACK
friends and feelings don’t really go well together, do they ? percy jackson x aphrodite fem! reader, wc: 6.2k, note: IT’S FINALLY HERE!! THE LONG AWAITED PIECE!! i’d like to apologize for putting this out so late but you guys have been so so patient and i’d never thank you enough for that !!!!<3 please enjoy reading this as much as i enjoyed writing it!! (i did add my own twist to the tartarus fall for the sake of the story… sorry not sorry!)
Wherever Annabeth strayed, Percy followed. It was common knowledge at camp Half-Blood. Everyone could see how hearts seemed to float around the boy’s head whenever Athena’s daughter was around.
You knew this too. And every time Percy’s pining became too obvious, you’d turn your head and swallow the bitter taste of jealousy coming up your throat.
You’ve liked Percy ever since you were thirteen, when he was just starting to grow taller than you and when he made you double over with laughter at the jokes his step-dad told him.
But Percy’s liked Annabeth ever since he was thirteen, when he held the world for her and when he desperately wished she wouldn’t join Artemis’ hunters.
And the whole camp bet on when Percy would make the first move while you were left alone with envy simmering in your veins and the sting of a heartache.
Still, you couldn’t bring yourself to push him away from your life. His bright smile and his curls always made you wonder if he hadn’t been carved by Apollo himself.
Percy has been your friend ever since your arrival at camp. But you’ve also wished he’d be more than that.
It doesn’t really come as a surprise when the son of Poseidon comes to you for advice. You should shut him out and pretend you don’t understand what he’s about to ask, but your mother wouldn’t approve of one her own getting in the way of love. So you let it happen.
“I need your help with something…” are his first words as he stands against the doorway of the Aphrodite cabin. There’s only you and a few of your other siblings inside and instantly, all eyes are on him.
You know what he’s about to ask. You look down, resuming your work on your sister’s hair. “I’m busy Percy. Can you come back later ?”
You don’t look at him but you hear him sigh. “It’s…um… pretty important ? I mean… I’m asking you because I know you’re an expert in the love department, obviously and you’re the only one who can actually help.”
“Fine, come in. But don’t touch my bows! You messed them up last time and I spent forever untangling them.” You smile as you finish little Carla’s hair, while Percy’s hands stir away from your collection.
Once the younger Aphrodite kids were shooed away, you stood up from your spot on the bed, leading Percy outside to the porch. Leaning against the wooden railing you turn your head, studying the crease of his brows and the way his hair seems messier, as if he’d run his hands through it one too many times.
“So ? What do you need me for ? Are you trying to escape kitchen duties again ?” you tease, and he tilts his head, wincing.
“Come on, that was one time… I need your help for something else. Something important” you can see the gears turn in his mind so you egg him on.
“Spit it out Percy ! I’m becoming way too curious.”
This time he turns his entire body to face you. He takes a deep breath and starts. “Can you pretend to be my girlfriend so I can make Annabeth jealous ?”
Silence. You wonder if he just heard the sound of your heart shattering.
“Are you sure this is a good idea…?”
Percy nods. “Maybe she’ll see us together and realize that she actually likes me. She knows we’ve been friends for a while so it won’t be too surprising, will it ?”
You shrug, turning your gaze to the other campers prancing around the other cabins. Part of you wants to say no, to avoid yearning for something that’s not real. But there’s this tiny other part of you screaming to accept the offer, to bask in the experience of something that might never happen again. Facing him again with a smile, you find him already staring at you expectantly.
“What do I get from all of this ?” you tease, gesturing between the two of you.
“My eternal love and gratitude of course !” he laughs as you shove him playfully.
“Okay okay I’ll help you. That’s what friends are for, right ?”
He breathes out, obviously relieved. “Thank you so much ! I owe you one !” he tells you before pulling you into a hug.
The moment you hug him back, you realize the situation you got yourself into. Percy pulls away and starts walking backwards toward the sword training area. “I have to go right now or Mr D is going to be mad and I don’t want to be on stable duty tonight!  " he chuckles, but stay awhile after dinner and we’ll set up a plan alright ?”
You salute him jokingly. “Will do, sir !”
At dinner, your eyes flicker between your half empty plate and Percy, heartily laughing away with the Stoll brothers. Feeling someone softly nudging your shoulder, you divert your attention to Drew, looking at you with slight concern.
“You okay ? You’ve been staring at your plate forever.”
“Yeah yeah, just a little tired is all !” you manage a small smile. She nods before resuming her conversation.
Once everyone’s done, all of your siblings scuttle back to cabin 10 while you linger around the amphitheater, remembering Percy’s words.
There’s a whisper of your name coming from behind and you whip around just in time to see Percy jogging towards you.
“Thought you’d never come !” you tease
Your friend jokingly rolls his eyes before taking your wrist, guiding you towards the lake. “I wasn’t gifted with punctuality I know, I know no need to rub it in… Now come, we have a plan to set up !”
The both of you are sitting on the shore, the lights of Sound Island catching your attention. Knees hiked to your chest, you stare at them until Percy clears his throat.
“So… I was thinking…” he starts
“Oh, nothing good can come out of that” you joke and he chuckles.
“Seriously though, if we need to make it work people shouldn’t think our ‘relationship’ comes out of nowhere. You know what I mean ?
You nod, eyes still lost in the distance. “We could tell people you asked me out last summer, before I went home and before you went back to New York. We could tell them we were long distance and decided to make it official this summer at camp.”
You can see Percy nodding enthusiastically from the corner of your eye. “Yes ! That’s a great idea ! I would've never come up with that so quickly.”
The air is quiet now, the both of you looking at the waves lapping at the shore. Until Percy breaks the silence again.
“Do… um… Do you think we should set up rules ? I don’t want to make you uncomfortable, or break any boundaries… I don’t want things to get too awkward between us y’know ?” he rubs his neck, avoiding your eyes.
Turning to face him, you place a hand on his shoulder. “I know Percy, don’t worry. And you’re right, boundaries are essential in a relationship.”
“So… What should we do ? Or not for that matter ? You’re the relationship professional here, I’m all ears!”
The boy’s words put a small smile on your face, although you’re already starting to regret this ordeal.
“Well, we should definitely act ‘coupley’ in public. Hugs, hand holding and all that…” You’re about to continue the list when Percy interrupts you. “What about kissing ?”
You can feel your heart drop in your stomach. You should’ve seen this coming. Brows furrowed, you stared at the dark body of water in front of you. “Only for emergencies. The ‘no one believes we’re actually dating so we have to prove them by kissing each other’ kind of emergency. You get me ?”
Percy laughs at the idea. “I couldn’t have summed it up better. Emergencies only then.” There’s a moment of silence between the two of you while he toys with the rocks strewn around him before hearing him sigh. “D’you think it’s gonna work ? That she’s gonna notice me ?”
Mustering the nicest smile you could, you nodded. “Maybe our plan will serve as a little push for her to make the first move. There’s no way she doesn’t like you back. And I'm saying this as a daughter of Aphrodite.” your words elicit a chuckle from the boy next to you. You’re glad to see that he seems a bit relieved by your affirmation, the same you wished someone told you.
Stretching his arms above his head while stifling a yawn, Percy stands up. “Alright, I’m gonna go to bed, you coming with me ?”
Looking up at him, you shake your head. “Think i’m gonna stay out there a little longer, the air’s nice.”
The boy nods. “Alright. I’ll pick you up from your cabin tomorrow morning so don’t sleep in too long ! Otherwise Silena might just drown me with questions and whatnot.” he winks
You giggle. “Don’t worry about that Perce. Good night, I’ll see you tomorrow.” he smiles at you, pinching your ear as was his way of saying goodbye for the past few years before jogging up the hill.
You’re awoken the next day by Carla and Jamie, the two kids fervently shaking your shoulders all the while loudly whispering your name.
“Percy’s here! He says he came to pick you up! Is he your boyfriend ?”
The sleepy state you’re in makes it hard to catch up with their excitement so early in the morning. That’s until you actually hear Percy’s voice alongside Silena’s.
Silena. You shoot up from your bed, rushing to save the boy from your cabin counselor’s inquiries.
Emerging from your cabin while adjusting a slightly rumpled shirt, you catch Percy’s eyes, silently begging for help. You can’t see Silena’s face but judging by Percy’s attitude, she might’ve been asking one too many questions.
“Percy ! Hi ! I didn’t know you were going to pick me up this morning !” you loop your arm around his, a big smile plastered on your face as you wave to your older sister.
He looks back at you with a smile, obviously relieved by your sudden appearance.
“Had to pick up my girl.” he says with a smile, eyes shifting between you and Silena’s questioning stare. You dismissively wave a hand, a way to tell her you’ll explain later.
“I swear she was going to annihilate me! She kept asking me why I came to pick you up and why now !” Percy kept talking your ear off about how scary Silena was on your way to breakfast.
“She might seem… intrusive at times, but she means well ! Silena always cared for her younger siblings. And you’re definitely in her books so I don’t think she hates you, not until you actually hurt me though…” you tell him, eyes crinkling with amusement when you see his face pale.
You noticed that your arm was still looped with Percy’s. And you liked it. It felt natural, almost real. As you approached Aphrodite’s table, Percy slowed his pace. He slightly turned towards you with wide eyes.
“Annabeth is here ! And she’s looking at us ! What do we do ?”
Shifting as discreetly as possible, you notice the girl looking in your direction, eyebrow raised and a small smile on her face. Turning back to Percy, you shrug.
“Say goodbye, the way you would say goodbye to your girlfriend.”
Percy doesn’t need to be told twice. Almost mechanically, he pulls you closer, tugging you to his chest and slightly bending down to press a kiss on your cheek. “I’ll see you later” he whispers before moving away, leaving you at your table full of overexcited Aphrodite kids.
You didn’t see Percy until later in the afternoon at the climbing wall. Yet the kiss he’d given you before breakfast was burning your cheek, as if his lips had been scalding hot iron. Part of you thought this was a fever dream, that you’d wake up in your bed with Percy’s heart still out of reach. But every camper coming to congratulate you and ask questions about your relationship with the son of Poseidon served as a harsh reminder of the predicament you were in.
It was a very hot morning when Luke decided to take the younger kids for a swim in the lake, asking you and Percy to tag along. The two of you were supervising a group of Hermes kids, Percy playing with them while you watched the scene from the dock, feet dangling in the water. Lost in your thoughts and lulled by the sunlight, you didn’t notice Percy swimming up to you until he pulled you in the water. You emerged with a laugh, hanging onto Percy’s shoulders, all the kids around you tossing water and giggling. He didn’t let you go and you’re suddenly hyper aware of the proximity you share and of his hands on your waist. The kids' incessant cheering doesn’t falter.
“Kiss your girlfriend Percy! That’s what good boyfriends do after pulling their girlfriends in the water!” the older kids teased.
“C’mon guys…” he let out a nervous laugh. But the kids didn't stop.
“Percy and Y/N, swimming in the water, K I S S I N G!”
“That’s not even the correct lyrics !” he argued, to no avail.
Percy then stared at you and you nodded, heart hammering in your chest. He leaned in and you laced your arms around his neck, hands coming to play with his wet curls. The kiss was short and sweet and sent you over the edge. When you pulled back, you could feel the blood pumping in your ears. With flushed cheeks, Percy turned towards the group, shooing them towards the shore. “Okay alright that’s enough! It’s almost lunchtime, let's go!”
As you got out of the water, shirt clinging to your body, Percy stood at the edge, hoodie in hand.
“Here. You can wear this instead.” he smiles and you gratefully accept the piece of clothing, reveling in the comfort of the material and in Percy’s scent.
It was interesting to see how everyone seemed to gobble your story. In the span of a few weeks, you and Percy became the talk of the camp. Everyone wondered how, when and why it happened. During late evenings spent idling on the shore, Percy often praised your storytelling skills and the way the two of you managed to play pretend so efficiently.
“Do you think it’s working ?” he asked one night, as the two of you were setting up the camp’s bonfire.
“Considering Annabeth seems to talk to you more than usual I’d say yes ? I can’t read her mind though.” you answer, placing the wood you picked up under your arm.
Percy nods, a small smile adorning his face. As he turns and leads the way towards the bonfire, you trail behind, lost in thought. Everything was going too well. So well that You had to remember almost every night that Percy wasn’t really your boyfriend. You knew that wishing he’d just change his mind would probably anger your mother but you didn’t care anymore. Although he was supposed to be yours in the eyes of everyone, you knew his heart belonged to someone else and you felt like an usurper. You considered putting an end to all of this, tell the truth to Annabeth and witness your biggest heartbreak come to life.
Percy’s voice brings you back to earth: “you coming?” Picking up your pace, the two of you are quick to get back to the group, everyone cheering and hollering at your arrival.
“Got lost in the woods ?” Luke teases.
As you sit next to Percy, he wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you close. You almost melt into his touch before remembering your inner turmoil. He looks at you with a smile and you smile back, trying your best to conceal your sadness. As you turn to face the fire, he presses a fleeting kiss to your temple and it feels so real you almost want to burst into tears.
You feel sick. His presence is suffocating and the voices in your head seem to get louder. You free yourself from his hold and stand up. His gaze is questioning and you shake your head.
“I’ll be back. I just— I need some air.” you whisper and he nods, watching your silhouette disappear in the shadows.
Sitting against the trunk of a tree, your knees hiked against your chest and your face hidden in your hands, you fight the tears pooling in your eyes. Regret and embarrassment are flooding your mind, a breathless apology to your mother escapes your lips.
All of a sudden, you hear a branch snap and you lift your head up. You brace yourself for the worst, fists clenching at the thought of Aphrodite herself coming to scold you. Yet the woods are too dark and there’s no sign of your godly parent. The rustle of leaves seems closer to you now and your heart beats faster.
A whisper of your name makes you turn your head. To your left stood Annabeth, taking off her cap and putting it back in the pocket of her jeans. You let out a breath of relief you didn’t realize you were holding as you saw her sitting down opposite you.
Annabeth is the first one to break the silence.
“I saw you at the bonfire. Wanted to know if you were okay since you didn’t want Percy to come with you.”
You smile at her words and nod, fingers toying with blades of grass.
“I am, thanks. I just needed to get away for a bit. I was probably overwhelmed or something. Had a long day.” you laugh.
The girl in front of you fiddles with her necklace, brows furrowed and obviously trying to tell you something.
“Yeah figures, Percy told you about our quest didn’t he ? I tried to tell him it was too dangerous, you know ? He was just so determined to come with me, Nico and Will he didn’t listen to me. I know you two are practically glued at the hip so when I asked him if he was sure, he told me you’d probably do the same thing.” she smiles softly before continuing. “He trusts you as much as you trust him, you know. It’s not something you see everyday.”
Annabeth looks over expectantly, only to find you staring at a crumpled daisy in the palm of your hand and you’re pulled out of your trance by her voice calling your name.
“Oh yeah, no we talked about it briefly this afternoon. He told me you guys had to leave soon. You don’t know when you’ll be back do you ?” you ask in a small voice, faking a yawn to hide the tears at the corner of your eyes.
Your friend shakes her head before pulling you into a hug.
“I’m gonna miss you, all of us will actually.” You tighten your embrace. “Me too, be safe out there.”
Annabeth pulls back with a small smile. “I’m gonna head back and let you join your lover boy.” You watch her as she puts her cap on, disappearing in the shadows.
You don’t wait long before joining the rest of the campers, guided by the firelight and the giggles of the younger kids. As you make your way back to the fire, you notice Percy making a place for you. You walk on, blatantly ignoring his signs.
No one else seems to notice what just happened. Puzzled, Percy stands up and follows your footsteps. You’re only a few meters away from your cabin when the boy grabs your wrist, turning you around to face him. The few lights around the cabins highlight the anger and sadness painted all over your face and you jerk your hand away.
“When were you going to tell me ?” you ask, crossing your arms.
His face falls.
“I– I was going to! As soon as Chiron confirmed it, I promise ! I just– I couldn't find the proper way to announce it. I swear I didn’t want to leave you in the dark.” Percy sputters
You nod, averting your attention to anywhere else but the boy in front of you. You couldn’t bear to let him see how upset you were. He couldn’t see how his upcoming departure ripped your heart apart in a way it wasn’t supposed to at all.
“Whatever. It’s not like you need me to make decisions right ? I’m just the stepping stone in your ‘how to get the girl tutorial’” you laugh bitterly
Percy shakes his head.
“No, absolutely not. You’re my best friend and I care about you. So much. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I— I didn't think wisely but you have to know how important this quest is. Annabeth wanted you to come with her but I volunteered instead. I couldn’t let you go out there and get hurt. I’d never forgive myself if something ever happened to you.”
His words burn and you wipe your tears angrily. When you finally meet his eyes, you notice how soft his gaze is, and how sorry he seems.
“Yeah right.” you point an accusatory finger at him. “Don’t you ever think that i’m going to help you with your little love games anymore. I’m done.”
You didn’t let him reply. opting to turn around, you walk to your cabin. You spare him one last glance when you step on the porch. He stands still, hands in his pockets.
“Look after Will and Nico, would you ? I trust Annabeth with my life but I wouldn’t bear to lose them because of you.” your words linger in the air and Percy winces, as if slapped by the meaning of your words.
He nods and you walk into your cabin, tears streaming down your face.
You don’t talk to Percy for the next few days, always finding excuses to avoid being in his vicinity and busying yourself with as many camp duties as you could take. You managed to escape him without anyone noticing the weird tension between the two of you. Yet Percy was desperately trying to talk to you, always searching your eyes during meals and attempting to follow you around to make amends. But you slipped through his fingers, never staying around him for more than a second.
When the day of the group’s departure finally came, you reluctantly stood next to Chiron. The whole camp came to the border to wish the group good luck, and you certainly weren’t going to let your friends go without sending them off with a proper goodbye. You ruffled Nico and Will’s hair, making them promise to send an Iris message whenever they needed to. Annabeth hugs you tightly and you wish her a safe journey. Percy follows, and he’s awkwardly shuffling on his feet, all the while the other campers wait for their favorite amusement. Although you’re upset and heartbroken, you still wish him the best. When you look up at him, you can still see the same apologetic gaze he gave you almost a week ago.
You reach up reluctantly, lacing your arms around his neck. Under the scrutinizing gaze of your peers, you manage to press a feathery kiss on the corner of his mouth. While everyone cheers and celebrates the rest of the group as well, Percy’s hands find yours.
“I’ll stay in touch, promise.” he squeezes your hand and you just nod, pursing your lips. There’s a beat of silence, his hand still holding yours. You’re the first one to pull back, crossing your arms and standing back. Percy takes this as his cue to leave. With one last glance at you, he adjusts the straps of his backpack and turns away, following the rest of the group while you watch them disappear through the fields.
Ever since Annabeth and her partners left, your days at camp seemed to go by slower. Yet the occasional message of Apollo’s son, Will, always eager to update you on everyone and the quest made you look forward to what the day could bring. Ever since his arrival at camp Half-Blood, Will Solace has been like your little brother, always in your shadow. Every time his freckled face appeared through the mist, it was as if a weight was lifted off of your shoulders. Some days, he managed to drag Nico into view to say hi and during others, he almost had to tell Annabeth off for “hogging all his time with Y/N”. On the other hand, you managed to catch glimpses of Percy, whether he was in the background or coming in to greet you, asking how life at camp was. Conversations with him were short and you hoped the others didn’t notice the tension between the two of you that persisted even through a simple Iris message.
As the days went on, Will’s messages were rare, which was worrying. He’d usually call you once a week but your most recent conversation dated back two weeks already. One late afternoon, as you were supervising the archery class along with another camper from Apollo’s cabin, the frantic sound of hooves hitting the gravel path broke the kids’ focus. In a matter of seconds, Grover is right in front of you, panting.
“Chiron wants to see you… now.”
Feeling your stomach tighten in anguish, you rush to your beloved activities director, only to find him animatedly talking to someone via Iris message.
To Will Solace.
Although he’s on the other side of the country, he notices you first and agitatedly calls out your name, prompting Chiron to turn around.
“I’ll let the two of you be. There’s something important you both need to discuss.” Chiron solemnly announces before retiring, prompting you to rush to the boy.
“Will ! Thank gods ! Are you okay ? What’s going on ? Is everything alright ?”
Will lets you ask all the questions you could think of and your heart clenches at the sight of his bruised face and his torn clothes.
“I’m okay.. Nico and I are okay.” he breathes and you answer with anguish. “What’s happening ? Why– Where’s Annabeth ? Where’s Percy ?”
At the mention of the older two, Will’s face contorts in an expression you can’t discern and your face falls.
“Annabeth tripped and fell. Percy rushed to help her but he couldn’t pull her up nor himself.” The boy swallows. “So he told Nico and I to join the rest of our crew, you know, the ones from the Argo II, the ones I told you about ?” You nod and he resumes his story. “I— I thought he wanted them to help him pull him and Annabeth up but he… He let go and they both fell. They fell into Tartarus.”
The room around you was spinning. You sat in the nearest chair and brought a shaky hand to your lips. Will was still talking but the ringing in your ears was too overwhelming for you to hear anything.
After regaining composure as best as you could, Will explained how the rest of their quest was supposed to go. You were unable to utter a single word, the shocking news weighing heavy on your heart. He ended the call with a promise to come back to camp safely. As soon as you were alone in the room, you keeled on yourself, choking out tears.
Will’s words still echoed in your mind more than a week after that fateful call, especially when word got out that Annabeth and Percy, Y/N’s Percy, fell into Tartarus. Your days were tiresome and your nights full of nightmares. More often than not, you found yourself awoken by one of your siblings in the middle of the night, their hands on your shoulders prompting you to calm down. Pitiful stares from other campers weren’t spared either, and you could feel everyone’s eyes on your back almost everyday, already grieving the loss of two people that meant the world to you.
But you tried to keep face. Every piece of meal you scraped into the campfire was a silent prayer to your mother to keep your friends safe, every night spent on your cabin’s porch was another way of pleading the stars to bring everyone back to camp quickly and safely. To clear your mind as best as you could, you began to spend most evenings on the shore where you and Percy used to hang out all the time, before everything went down. Reminiscing on past conversations, the knot in your stomach only tightened when you remembered your last exchange, regret swallowing you whole at the idea of losing Percy and never mending things with him.
Sitting on the shore and skipping stones slowly became part of your daily routine. You were there at dawn and at dusk, feet at the edge of the water. This was the exact place you found out Percy and Annabeth came back. Meg McCaffrey, daughter of Demeter came bounding towards you, yelling your name.
“They’re back !!! They’re all back !!!”
Scrambling to your feet, you follow the girl as best as you could, too stunned to speak. And indeed, as soon as you joined the group of campers in the meadow, you saw them. Your eyes caught Will’s first, holding Nico’s hand tightly. You see them next, Percy and Annabeth. They’re in terrible shape, clothes torn and faces scraped. Yet here they are, stumbling towards Thalia’s tree, holding each other up. That’s the first thing you notice: Percy’s tight grip on Annabeth’s shoulder. You let out a breath, rushing towards the group. Will launches himself into your arms and you fall to your knees, holding him tightly.
“You’re okay. You’re home.” you whisper, a hand soothingly rubbing his back. When he pulls back, you open your arms to Nico, who gladly accepts your embrace. Once the three of you are up on your feet again, Annabeth pulls you towards her and Percy, although not without wincing. You let out a teary laugh at her demeanor before brushing dirt off her cheek.
“Let’s get you patched up.” you grin as you take a hold of her elbow. You turn towards Percy, who smiles tiredly before beckoning him to follow. “You’re going too Perce.”
The next few days Annabeth and Percy stay in the infirmary, you pass by often to help with bandages or simply to strike up a conversation. The bright smile with which Percy greets you everytime makes your heart clench and you avoid his eyes as best as you can.
The duo has undoubtedly become the talk of the entire camp again, and you can’t help but remember the bitterness crawling up your throat again. They seemed closer, with Percy still hanging around Annabeth as often as he could. Yet this time, you sensed a shift in their dynamics, blaming it on your mother’s powers. Ever since the pair came back from Tartarus, you started to fall into the background again. Percy technically hasn’t abandoned you but you did feel left out, again. Evenings with your dear friend on the shore were traded for long conversations in Athena’s cabin and the feeling of Percy’s constant arm around you now seemed like a fever dream.
With a heavy heart, you let life take its course again. Having pulled away from Percy, people started to speculate your potential breakup. You didn’t deny the rumors, wanting things to go back to what you were used to, wanting to hopelessly pine in silence without pretending anymore. But what you experienced in the past few weeks felt too real and every single time your path crossed Percy’s, you felt like drowning in unsaid feelings.
The day Silena found you sobbing on the steps of the cabin was your breaking point. She rushed to your side, engulfing you in a hug.
“Hey, hey! What’s going on ?” she asked but you shook your head, unable to find the right words and ashamed of what your answer might be. But she pressed on until you cracked.
“Percy and I, we weren’t actually dating. He wanted to make Annabeth jealous so he asked me to pretend to be his girlfriend and I said yes. And I feel so, so stupid because I liked him, really liked him and I thought that was the closest I’ll ever get to actually be with him but then he left and I guess his plan finally worked.” you let out a bitter laugh before resuming. “And I just can’t look him in the eyes anymore, it hurts too much. I probably messed up our friendship because I fell in love with him years ago when he only had eyes for Annabeth. And I can’t be mad at him! She’s perfect! Sometimes I just wish it was me…”
Letting out a shaky breath, you avoided your sister’s eyes until she held your shoulders, prompting you to face her. There was no trace of pity in her gaze, only the typical fondness she addressed to her siblings. With a small smile, she was about to comfort you until the hurried sound of footsteps caused the both of you to turn towards the source of the sound.
Percy stood in front of the porch, looking as surprised as you. If looks could kill, Silena would’ve already sent him six feet in the ground. On the other hand, you felt sick to your stomach. Judging by the expression on his face, your declaration didn’t fall into deaf ears. He slowly reached the first step but you stood up abruptly.
“Don’t.” was all you could muster before running off.
You blamed it on muscle memory when you found yourself on the edge of the shore again. But Percy wasn’t stupid. He figured out it became your favorite spot almost a month after he took you there for the first time. With your back facing him, he softly called your name, sighing when you refused to turn around.
“Go away Percy.”
“I can’t. I won’t.”
“What do you want then?” you finally snapped, facing him. “Do you want to laugh in my face ? Tell me I’m an absolute idiot for thinking I could ever have a chance with you ?”
“No! Absolutely not!” There's a second of silence before he starts again. “I, I heard everything and” you’re about to cut him off when he shakes his head. “No. Let me tell you what I need to tell you. I can’t let you hurt like that knowing I caused all this mess.”
Seeing him in such a nervous state somewhat calmed your own nerves. You sat on a big rock, motioning him to sit beside you. None of you talked for a little while, instead choosing to focus on the lapping of the waves. Percy decided to break the silence.
“I have– had feelings for Annabeth. For the longest time. And looking back on it, I was a jerk for asking you to fake date me. I was selfish, I didn’t even think about how you felt in the moment because I was too obsessed with the idea of Annabeth noticing me.” He swallowed. “I was blinded by my feelings until the quest. When Annabeth told me she wanted you to come with her, I told you I couldn’t allow you to get hurt. I meant it. And when we were in Tartarus, gods, I couldn’t help but imagine you instead of me. The place tricked us, made us see things coming out of our worst nightmares. I— I heard you most of the time. It recreated your voice and made me believe you were in so much pain and I couldn’t do anything about it. I still have dreams about it: you’re the one who’s falling into Tartarus because I can’t seem to reach your hand.”
When you turn your head to look in his direction, you find him already looking at you.
“What do you mean by that?” you whisper, eyes scanning his face.
He grabs your hand and you can’t help but twitch at the contact.
“I can’t lose you, that’s what it means. I took our friendship for granted and I’ll always beat myself up for that. Annabeth realized that before I did. When we came back, she told me to always be upfront about my feelings to people you hold dear. You never know when you might see them for the last time. So that’s what I’m doing right now.”
“Are you seriously friendzoning me right now ?” you scoff at his choice of words.
“No, no!” he closes his eyes. “Gods what I want to tell you is that I can’t stand when you’re not by my side. And I’m sorry for not noticing it earlier. I care about you, more than you know. And if you’d let me, I want to make things right with you, with us.”
Your heart softens at his declaration. You heave a sigh but you can’t hide the small smile growing on your face.
“We can try.” you shrug and you feel his grip tighten around your hand.
His smile almost rivals with the first stars dotting the sky. “We can try.”

You Promised - Percy Jackson x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
summary: in which y/n and percy realize they will never be the friends they used to be as not even time can fix these wounds
warnings: betrayal, sadness, cursing, anger
genre: angst
word count: 1k
.........................................................
y/n watched as the argo ll struggled to get the athena parthenos on deck. she tried desperately to help, but had to stop when she saw annabeth slip into what could be tartarus. y/n jumped down carefully, and clung onto the very edge of the wall.
“don’t let go! i’m going to get you out of there!” she yelled to annabeth and percy, who were holding on for dear life.
although annabeth and y/n had never been great friends, they were on the same team and they were fighting for the same cause. what kind of hero would she be if she let her own teammate fall into hell?
y/n reached a hand out to percy, telling him to hoist himself up to her and then they could pull annabeth out. suddenly, the large statue hit the wall, causing an earthquake, and y/n slipped.
“ah!” she said, dragging her sword into the wall.
she was to annabeth’s right, but below her. both hands on her sword for her life. she pulled herself back and swung, and kicked annabeth upwards. percy was able to pull her up and jason lifted annabeth up, back onto the argo ll. the force was killing y/n. percy then pulled himself up, while clinging to the small side of the wall.
“percy! please, help!” y/n cried, trying to get back up, but she couldn’t, she needed another hand.
“i promise nothing will happen to you y/n!” percy yelled back.
another piece of the rock percy was standing on fell off. he stood on a thin narrow piece of rock. the terror y/n felt for both herself and percy was unmatched. they were friends, and you’re supposed to help a friend, right?
“percy, get up here!” annabeth called frantically.
“what about y/n?” percy yelled back.
at this point, y/n was holding back tears. annabeth wouldn’t leave her here, she wouldn’t. despite their differences, she was a good woman, and she wouldn’t do this to her teammate. at least, that’s why y/n prayed.
“percy please!” annabeth screamed, desperation filling her voice, and tears coming to her eyes. “i can’t lose you again!”
percy looked down at y/n, who’s arms were sore. she gave him a look, don’t do this to me, but he did it. percy took annabeth’s hand and got onto the argo ll. pain ran across y/n’s already sore body, as tears filled her eyes. she saw percy’s sea green eyes looking down at her.
“hold on y/n!” leo yelled. “we’re going to save you!”
“you promised.” she whispered, before her sword gave out.
y/n felt herself fall, fall deep into the pits of hell.
what y/n saw in tartarus was something no average demigod could withstand, and she did it alone. she fought for her life every hour while the betrayal sank in every minute. torturing memories replayed in her head, and she was forced to relive them.
just when y/n thought she couldn’t be more messed up, she ended up on an entirely different level of insane.
………………………………………………………..
when she saw the seven again, relief filled her veins as she ran towards leo with a warm embrace. the two had grown close, often working on machines together and cracking corny jokes. she hugged hazel as tightly as she could. hazel was like y/n’s younger sister, and y/n so desperately wanted to protect her innocence, so that she would not end up like herself, corrupted and ruined. she never knew she would miss frank, but she did.
jason and piper were greeted with short side-hugs, and a half-smile. but the rage that filled y/n’s veins when she saw percy and annabeth was demonic. just when it couldn’t get it worse, she got stabbed in the back. she walked straight past the two, not even acknowledging their presence, and gave nico a warm hug, which he reciprocated.
“i thought you were dead.” leo said, smiling.
“you’re lucky, i would’ve made my ghost haunt you for years to come.” she joked back.
………………………………………………………..
the seven, y/n, nico, will, and reyna were all discussing the prophecy and the attacks, and what was to come. when they had come up with somewhat of a plan, percy asked to talk to y/n, alone.
y/n would’ve done anything but talk to him, but she politely nodded, following him into a small room.
“i’m glad you’re back.” percy started.
“really? because it seemed you were keen on my death.” she spat back.
pain and regret filled his eyes.
“not a day goes by without me regretting my decision.” he said.
“that’s not my problem.” she said, angrily.
“i’m sorry y/n. i’m so so sorry.” he said, sincerity flooding his eyes.
“i didn’t have to dive in, but i did, to save annabeth, because even though we have our differences, we’re fighting for the same cause. i saved you perseus.” y/n said, the thoughts her mind had piled up finally releasing. “all for you two to stab me in the fucking back. the back that took all sorts of slashes for you.”
“i know-”
“y’know what i know? i know that if i were annabeth hanging, about to fall into literal hell, you would’ve gone in with me. i get that, that’s boyfriend duties. but we were friends. you were supposed to pull me out of tartarus, not push me in.” she continued.
the silence was loud because percy knew y/n was right.
“you promised percy. You fucking promised.” she finished.
it became clear to percy that day that they would never be like the friends they used to be. she would never forget, and he couldn’t blame her. from that day onwards, y/n never called percy, ‘percy’, again, it was always ‘perseus’, or she rarely acknowledged him. they never hung out in the same room unless either hazel, frank, or leo, were there. she quit calling him a friend. time could heal everything, but not this betrayal, not this wound. whatever trust she had in percy deteriorated to nothing. why trust a man who couldn’t keep his promise?

(Previous Part)
After passing through the miserable Manhattan traffic, the roads of rural New York began to calm as they began the long journey to Maine.
Beside Will, Jason was twisting a map around, the paper crinkling with each slight movement he made. “You’d think they would’ve made these easier to read.” He grumbled under his breath.
“Well they sort of did,” Will replied, “Google maps offers great convenience, unfortunately there’s no demigod Google or Apple…or any of the other companies.”
Jason blankly stared at Will for a moment, “I’m going to pretend I understood what any of that meant.”
Will held back a laugh, he had forgotten that Jason wasn’t exactly familiar with modern technology. He was like Nico in that way, maybe that’s one of the reasons they got along so well. “It’s phone stuff, i’m not really the expert on it because I was never allowed to have a phone. But my Mom had one, and the other campers keep me up to date with all that other stuff.”
Jason’s eyes widened for a split second, Will could tell it was because of the mention of his Mom. He was probably surprised because Will typically didn’t mention her. “So your Mom, she’s…” Jason’s voice died off.
“She’s alive, if that’s what you wanted to ask. Her name is Naomi Solace, though I doubt you’ve heard of her. She’s a pretty well known country singer, always busy with tours and concerts.” Will seemed to fall into the past as he spoke about his mother. “I used to go on tours with her, they were chaotic but honestly amazing. Staying up until the late hours eating fast food, traveling around the country. It was great.”
Jason seemed hesitant to speak, but he noticed Will’s smile fading. “Did something happen?”
“Well, turns out monsters aren’t great for tours.” Will sighed as he stared out across the endless roads. “As I got older, more and more attacks happened. Eventually my Mom had to send me to camp, she didn’t want to. I still think she regrets it, but there was nothing she could do. Guess that’s just how it is.”
“Do you still keep in contact?” Jason asked cautiously.
“Yeah,” Will nodded, “I send letters, and Iris messages. Sometimes I even visit, though she’s pretty busy so I never stay long. She would probably let me stay forever if she could, but I wouldn’t burden her like that.”
Jason opened his mouth to speak but he hesitated, unable to find the right thing to say. After a moment he finally spoke, “She sounds nice.”
Will smiled, “Oh yeah, she’s amazing.” He meant it completely, his Mom was truly one of the best people he’d ever known. “But enough about my Mom, what do you think this ‘dark presence’ or whatever it is we are facing?”
Jason frowned, his mind delving into thought, “I’m not sure. What dark creature or thing would be out to get Nico?”
Will paused, a revelation hitting him so hard he almost drove them off the road. “Oh my Gods…how did I not realize sooner?”
“What?” Jason said, his hand was now tightly latched onto the door from Wills lapse in good driving.
“It’s Nyx,” he said the name like it was poison in his mouth. “It has to be. She’s probably still pissed that he embarrassed her.”
“Nyx?” Jason asked, his voice almost incredulous.
“Yeah, we fought her back in tartarus. Guess she’s still holding a grudge.” Will shook his head with an unpleasant look displayed on his face.
“So Nico left to what? Go fight a goddess on his own?”
Will sighed in pure frustration, “Yep. It’s a classic Nico move, I mean he would’ve gone to tartarus alone, again, if I hadn’t forced him to take me.”
“I guess in that way he hasn’t changed, still trying to face things alone.” Jason frowned.
“Right.” Will’s face was now unreadable even to himself, “At least he’s not alone, he took your boyfriend with him remember?”
Jason almost choked, “Boyfriend?!”
Will failed to hold back his laughter, “I guess it’s not official yet?”
“We’re not-he’s not-“ Jason stumbled over his words before giving up at forming a coherent sentence.
“Okay, okay. I won’t push any further, just know, it’s pretty obvious.” Will smirked as Jason tried to regain his composure.
“I’m not sure what you’re talking about,” Jason finally spoke with a false look of confidence. “Me and Leo are just-“ He was cut off by a sudden thump against the roof of the car.
Will glanced up in shock, “What was that?”
“I don’t-“ Jason began, but before he could finish there was another thump and sharp claws pierced through the roof.
Will grit his teeth looking ahead, “Hold tight Jason, the rides about to get bumpy.”
Bumpy was an understatement. The second Will swerved off the main road, the normal car ride transformed into a death trip. Each turn was so sharp Jason had to cling to whatever he could just so he wouldn’t be thrown across the car. He was convinced that any second now they’d go barreling into a tree. Yet, Will somehow maintained control, his driving was insane but also impressive.
In a particularly harsh turn, whatever had latched onto the car had gone flying off and when Jason turned to see he got a clear view of their attacker—well attackers. Rapidly approaching behind them was a small group of harpies, hellbent on turning them into bird food.
“Uh Will? You might want to speed up,” Jason said as he gripped his sword. There wasn’t much use for it in the small space but it was a good plan b.
“On it.” Will said, as his knuckles latched around the wheel turned white, they began to pick up speed making any movement of the car even more jarring.
Jason kept his eyes on the harpies which were still hot on their trail, “How do we lose these guys?”
“No clue,” Will spoke through clenched teeth. “Maybe you could blow them away?”
Jason perked up, for a moment he’d forgotten about the whole wind powers thing. “Good idea.” He spoke quickly before focusing on the wind beneath the harpies wings. With a slight twist they spiraled away, losing control of the air around them.
Will seemed to relax for a moment, but that was cut short by the cars suddenly sputtering to a slow stop. The extra speed and turbulence appeared to be too much for the old camp be vehicle. “Aw hades!” The look on Will’s face was of pure and utter frustration.
As soon as the car wasn’t moving, Will slung open his door storming over to the hood of the car. With a frown he threw it open and was promptly engulfed in smoke. Jason hurriedly rushed over to him, urging the winds to dispel the clouds of smoke.
As the smoke dissipated it revealed Will who stood there coughing and muttering a range of curses—some Jason had never heard before but he was sure they weren’t positive. “Of course this happens!” Will threw his hands up in defeat.
Jason winced, not sure how to comfort him.
“The one time I go out on an important quest, everything goes wrong!” Will spoke, his anger seemed more directed at himself than the circumstances.
“Every quest has setbacks,” Jason tried his best to sound optimistic.
“Maybe, but we left camp hours ago and we’re already stranded on the side of the road. Who knows what Nico and Leo are doing, and if we’re too late.” Will rambled on as he began to pace alongside the car.
“Will, things happen, I don’t see how this could be your fault.” Jason continued with his reasoning, but it was as if Will had heard nothing.
“What a great idea to send a medic on some important quest, like I could actually be a hero.” Will spoke directly to himself almost unaware of Jason’s presence.
“Will stop.” Jason took cautious hold of Will’s shoulders, a firm look on his face.
Realization passed across Will’s expression as he now understood how he’d been acting. “Sorry..” His voice was almost too quiet to hear.
“This is only a temporary setback, we’ll find away to get to them in time.” Jason spoke with every ounce of reassurance he could gather.
Will looked away, now focused on the dirt beneath his shoes. “Right, you’re right.”
Jason watched as Will seemed to shrink in on himself, embarrassed for showing a slight piece of his troubles. He felt a sense of similarity between himself and Will, he knew all too well the pain of hiding your true feelings.
It was the first time he saw Will not as this bubbly guy who was happy to do whatever whenever, but as someone who faced the same harsh world that met every demigod. Will knew loss, he knew more than he’d ever tell. He would never show that side of himself willingly. Instead, he let himself be portrayed as a calm reliable person with no struggles despite his constant turmoil. It didn’t feel fair.
At that moment Jason knew Will was a true hero, whether he believed it or not. He just had no idea how to prove it to him. What he did know, was that they had to succeed. Not just for Leo and Nico, but for everyone else, including themselves.

Minato and Kotone Lore 👁️👁️
Both born on January 8th, 1992
Parents names were Mei and Kaito Arisato
Moved from relative to relative after their parent’s deaths, but stuck with their Grandma in Yasoinaba when they moved with her in 2005
Mei was a dancer, Kaito was a music producer, so naturally they both ended up loving music
Were given their MP3’s the day that the accident happened
Only Minato went to Iwatodai, Kotone wasn’t interested and told him to go himself. It took a LOT of convincing but he left. Ko instead stayed with their grandma and has been studying to go into nursing school so she can be a care assistant for the elderly cus of it!! Kotone does visit Iwatodai occasionally and stays at the dorm (and since she is a Persona user, they let her come with to Tarty expeditions.
Since Minato came back to Iwatodai, he has not stepped on the Moonlight Bridge once (until the last shadow happened) Kotone just so happened to be there visiting when the mission happened and had tagged along to join the fight. Minato had a breakdown when they got there and Kotone had stepped up to be the leader (Fuuka stayed with Minato!)
They’re total opposites, but they complete each other in the things they lack
Minato
He was born first by 5 and a half minutes and teased Kotone relentlessly about it (not so much anymore)
He is really shy with new people, so much so he’ll go completely mute, but once he warms up to someone, he’ll be more expressive and open.
Kotone is the only person who’s seen his true self (before SEES came along at least)
He’s always been at Kotone’s side, so when he left for Iwatodai alone, he felt empty, and wouldn’t really interact with any of SEES outside of missions until after the Priestess mission.
He likes to collect CDs and manga
In track and photography club
insanely socially awkward someone save this man
tends to speak before he thinks, so he unintentionally upsets people and doesn’t realize
Gets embarrassed easily lol
Owns a guitar but sucks at playing it
He also writes lyrics!!!!
He bought his first keyboard after getting a lot of money from Tartarus. He’s been getting into making music just like his dad did !!!
Listens to a little bit of everything, but really likes metal and late 90’s-early 00’s rap
He listens to his dad’s CDs and his mom’s VHS tapes of her dancing all the time just see her face and hear his voice…He’s scared that he’ll burn them out lol Kotone can’t stand to watch and lister to them because she’ll start to cry and she hates crying
He’s really good at dancing thanks to his mom, and even took ballet when he was younger.
He’s in love with Fuuka!!!!!!( sorry not sorry!!! lmao)
He’s dated both a guy and a woman in the past. He’s biromantic and demisexual.
Kotone
She gets hyper easily and it made it hard for her to get friends early on, but she always had Minato so she was okay with it.
While she loves music, she’s never really wanted to compose or dance, she just loves listening to music.
Took a couple ballet lessons with Minato, but she didn’t like it so she quit. She did go watch him though!! Instead she started martial arts classes. she graduated with a black belt~
She uses a Naginata in battle, but she also uses her martial arts skills to beat shadow ass!!!! (Minato is so proud of his sister!!!!!)
Is a force to be reckoned with in Tartarus.. Minato was scared to let her join during her first trip to Tartarus, but after watching her stagger the Reaper in one punch (haha get it), he decided she’s just fine
She LOVES horror movies, much to Minato’s dismay (he…. doesn’t prefer them he‘ll but we all know he’s scared of them)
Always was the one to stand up for Minato since he never talked to anyone but his family. He would just sit there and take the bullying and Kotone was not having it!!!
When Kotone is home in Yasoinaba, she attends Yasogami high and works part-time as a tutor and at the Amagi Inn. She tends to spend time with the owner’s daughter and help her in her studys!!!!
She takes care of all the Inaba cats and updates Minato on the additions to their family everyday. (“Minty!! say hello to your new niece!” “My 17th niece.. Ko, you need to bring them here.” “Oh my god YES!!!”)
Kotone’s in drama club, but no sports clubs.
Ropes Minato into helping her practice lines cus secretly, he’s a really good actor too
She loves Tuxedo Sam, has a huge collection of Sam plushies (Minato won her a HUGE plush at a festival when they were 15)
also has a lot of plushies and squishmellows
pansexual club!!
Kotone falls in love too easily, and her crush changes like every week, but she never acts out on it cus she’s super nervous. (“OH MY GOD MINTY GUESS WHO I LIKE” “Who is it this time? Kanjiro-San, Chiko-Chan.. Ohh, or maybe do you like Karina-chan again?” “NO!!! ….It’s Tomo-kun…” “Oh, good luck.”) She’s never gone out with anyone cus of her shyness, but she’s also scared that she’ll fall in love with someone else during a relationship. She has gone on dates, but never made anything official.
On that note, Ko is a super flirty person! Max level rizz for sure
She loves hanging out with Ken!!! They learned that they both love Neo Featherman and talk about it all the time!!! She feels like she has a little brother and is happy she can be a big sister for once!!
She also loves her Junjun!!! They became super fast best friends, and she even helps Junpei with planning dates for him and Chidori!! Best wingwoman!!

Hot take I don’t think ANY demigod would make it out of Tartarus if they fell in the same way Percy and Annabeth did but alone. Yes, even Percy.
If I remember correctly he almost let himself sink in the river they fell into, and if Annabeth hadn’t been there to give him hope he would be a goner. He’s also had other moments where he feels like he is deserving of death, and I feel like Tartarus would enhance that. Tartarus is meant to drive people to insanity, so if I had to guess a way Percy would be affected is by making him feel like he doesn’t deserve to live.
Yes, he is an extremely powerful demigod but to get out of Tartarus you need more than power. You need a strong will to live, the mental strength for the emotional scars Tartarus is about to give you, and quite frankly I don’t think Percy has a lot of will to live.
Yes he is determined to have his happy ending but it didn’t take long for Tartarus to make him forget about that the second he fell into the river. If he were to go in another way, maybe, but specifically by falling in the same way Percy and Annabeth did together, no.
He’s also a son of Poseidon, a powerful one, so like, huge target on his back. Many enemies he makes there would be probably just because of that. And there might be friendly titan out there like Bob, but Bob doesn’t have his memories to he doesn’t remember Percy’s dad being part of the reason they’re exiled to Tartarus. All of the other ones though, yikes.
Would Nico be able to make it out solo? I don’t think so . He made it once but he was captured the entire time, and he didn’t fall in the way Percy and Annabeth did so there’s more to consider.
Most demigods would die on impact from the fall, and I think that’s Nico included. Percy and Annabeth only survived that because Percy could control water and they could make it to the river, but Nico and other demigods can’t do that.
What he does have on his side, however, is that he’s more in his father’s element than other demigods. He also made friends with Bob which is a huge advantage. But that doesn’t really matter since he would’ve died on the fall anyways.
Jason, I feel like, would make the fall because he can fly, so he won’t die on impact. But his huge disadvantage is that he’s a son of Jupiter, which is like the Titans in Tartarus’ number one enemy. They would probably smell his scent because he’s a powerful demigod AND a son of Jupiter, and I’m not sure if Jason can take that many attacks against him. Anyway, he’s dead so argument is pointless but idk I just wanted to consider it.
Would Thalia make it? Probably not. Her powers are more lightning based, instead of wind. So I don’t think she would survive the fall. And she has a big fear of heights, which I don’t know if that would change much but with that and the fear of Tartarus itself, who knows, she might have a heart attack before she makes it down. I’m joking, mostly.
Thalia is also a hunter of Artemis, which I think is both an advantage and a disadvantage at once. For one, she’s faster and stronger than normal demigods, so yay. But also, I wonder if being a hunter gives her some sort of aura, which could possibly attract more monsters. She’s a daughter of Zeus, so she already has enough enemies down there. But that’s all assuming she makes the fall down.
Would Luke make it, if he were alive that is? Umm, that’s actually a tricky one because he was on the Titans side, so they might would probably love him and help him out. However, again, the fall down would probably kill him. If he managed to fall into the river though I think he’s got a pretty strong will to live so he’s got a good shot.
A thing about Luke though is that nothing for him would really be too far, as in there’s probably nothing he wouldn’t be willing to do to survive.
Those are all the demigods I can think of that I’ve heard people say could survive. There’s probably more, but I really don’t think they would make it. Most would die from impact, so immediately no. And if they were to survive the fall everything else would just be too much. Tartarus is meant to drive you insane and be nearly impossible to get out of. So it’s okay to admit that’s what it would do to everyone, including our favorite characters. Also, assuming they make it to the doors(because they’re taking Percy and Annabeth’s route), if they don’t make any sort of alliance, who would hold the button for them? They’re stuck there forever or until death.

The whole class is distraught by both you and Midoriya’s disappearance, neither of you knowing the other is gone. Todoroki stands to the side unease in his gut knowing his friend is gone but also worried because he knows why you left. You say you were going to do it before he and his father could stop him. You were going to kill Touya Todoroki.
And in April both you and Midoriya had left U.A. off to fight your monsters.
Your first week you spent alone was long and sleepless. Hosu was not the same city it was before though slightly better in the day there were still villains but at night were worse. You hardly got sleep finding shelter in abandoned homes only getting a few hours in before continuing to figure out where Shinyo Takami was. They lost sight of him only a few months ago and with all the destruction he wouldn’t try to leave but instead start to create an army. It took some time but you hear of a man they call the Devil’s Advocate around the dark streets of Hosu. Once the sun came down the crime and danger came out. In the few months he spent hiding a small empire of surrounding bars and underground clubs was under his control and the only way to get close to him was to fight.
The loud sound of chains and screaming fill your senses as you walk down the steps with others, your hood and a mask covering your face from people around you. The chanting and yells got louder in the middle of the large underground club was a huge cage lined with large plexiglass, there were two levels for viewing and the huge cage had large industrial lights lighting it up as people yell at the two people fighting inside. Standing towards the back that still gives you a decent view of the fight, you watch as the two fight it out, one of them was built like a tank as he threw the other guy across the cage, blood coming out of his mouth as hit the ground dead on impact. The sight of death before should have made you sick but you just seem numbed to it. The crowd roars as the winner lift his arms in the air, his arms coated in blood.
“And the Undertaker continues his winning streak, our next fight will be happening in a bit. Those who wish to fight are more than welcomed.” A man says in a mic and the crowd goes wild before settling down slightly. You head towards where that man by large chalkboards with bettings some up to millions of dollars.
“I wish to fight.” You say to him and he looks down at you not seeing much before nodding, “You’ll join the next one, you got a name.” He says his breath smelt of weed and alcohol making you cringe slightly.
You shake your head and he laughs, “You win, you'll be given one.” You nod, stepping away from the booth the crowd is getting slightly agitated until a bell goes over.
“Ladies and Gents, our next fight is going to begin. We have a new contender stepping into the ring.” The man yells out and someone grabs your arm and brings you inside the cage, the lights blinding you slightly as people scream around you. The door on the other side of the cage opens up and a lanky man enters, wearing all leather holding two long blades in his hands.
“Let's have a good fight everyone!” He yells and the bell dings and everyone is cheering.
You pull out your staff and the guy in front of you laughs, “Really how’s a staff gonna hurt me, you must be stupid.” He rushes towards holding the blades up. You pull your arm back chucking the staff towards his chest pressing the button right before letting go and the blade flies out. The staff spears through his chest out his back digging into the floor, his body staying up by it. He chokes on blood, his eyes wide before he goes limp the fight is over in seconds.
The crowd is silent if you blink the fight would be over, then the crowd goes wild cheering you as you go over grabbing the staff pulling it out his body pulling the blade back in.
“Would you believe it! The fight is over before it even begins. Who is this person!” He calls and the doors open and two people come to take the body away, throwing another person in. No bell goes off signaling the fight and the man comes rushing to you his hands covered in frost, he sends a blast your way which you dodge turning to face him as he sends another blast at you and you block it with your braced arm, frost grows on it but the material heats up and it melts away. Running towards you, kicking him in the chest and sending him flying back he gets up sprinting towards you. You dodge, spinning around him grabbing the smaller knife from your waist, you slice it across his neck and he falls to the ground bleeding out.
The crowd is insane by this new contender that is insanely good, “Would you look at that another down.” You see in the corner of your eye a figure appearing from the second level in a more restricted level and you see it was one of Takami's associates, Tadashi Kase. He was a large crime boss in Hosu known for drug dealing and arms dealers in the black market. Your best shot at getting to Takami was through him.
“Give me your best!” You yell out and the crowd goes wild cheering you on.
“Seems our new spitfire has challenged the Undertaker. Your choice but be ready to say your goodbyes to this world.” The announcer calls out and you feel the floor shake as someone comes heading your way. The cage doors open and the Undertaker in front of you is much bigger towering over you, he could be almost as tall as All Might. He smirks at you and you see his sharp teeth that are stained red.
“Our reigning champion faces our new challenger!” He yells out and the bell dings starting the fight. The Undertaker comes rushing towards you like a battering ram and you dodge before he can swipe at you, he slams into the wall turning to look at you.
“Trying to run is pointless!” He yells running towards you again, he swipes his hand out to hit you but you slide under it bringing your staff up both blades out, the blade slicing his arm.
His arm has a large gash on it and his other hand grabs your leg tossing you across the cage, you hit the fence and your staff flies out of your hand. You land on the ground feeling the wind knocked out of you, the floors slippery with blood, you hear footsteps rushing towards you and you dodge right before a foot stops on your face. His hand wraps around your leg again throwing you and your face hits the ground and you feel something crack in your nose. Rolling and getting up you pull the knife from your waistband and swing it at the fist heading towards you cutting his hand, and making him pull away.
“Your puny knife isn’t going to kill the Undertaker!” He yells he blocks you from getting your staff. Throwing your knife, it digs into his shoulder and while he’s distracted slightly you run towards him sliding between his legs, running towards your staff you slide on your knees grabbing it and spinning around on your knees thrusting the blade in his stomach before he can reach you.
Pulling away you get up creating distance between you two, he growls bloodlust in his eyes and he charges at you. You run away heading towards the wall with him following behind you. Running up the chain fence you flip over his head splitting the staff in two you slide down his back the blades digging into his back cutting it up in ribbons. Once you touch the ground you bring one of the blades across both of the back of his ankles cutting the ligaments and nerves helping him stand. As he falls over his hand hits you in the chest sending you back, you don’t feel any bones break thank god for this vest. Standing up you walk over to him he is trying to pull himself over to you trying to stand up but from the multiple cuts targeting arteries and nerves, he was stuck on his back. You stand above him, you put your staff back together raising it above your head. His hands shoot up to cover his face but you bring it down the blade piercing his neck and his arms still before falling, you hear him choke on the blood for a bit before it gets silent.
The crowd goes wild seeing you defeat a champion only after fighting two other people. You pull the staff out closing the blades, you pull down your mask feeling blood pooling down the back of your throat and you spit the blood out wiping the excess blood from your face. Leaning your head back you take in the air as your lungs burn from the fight.  These were the first ones since getting out of the hospital. You feel the hood fall off your head and people are shocked at your appearance.
“It’s a girl.” “Look at how small she is compared to the Undertaker.” “Look how young they are, she’s practically a child.” The comments continue before they are silenced by one man.
“Quiet!” The room quiets down in an instant. You look up to see Kase looking down at you scanning your face. “What is your name?” He asks and you shake your head, you weren’t about to tell him your real name. Hey, I’m just your boss’s long-lost daughter whom he abandoned. “What are you here for?” He calls out,
“I come here seeking revenge on those who wronged me!” You yell out and some people cheer.
You were here for revenge and the man above you was one of them. Kase raises his hand and silences them, “Then your name shall be Nemesis, you will seek those of retribution and enact your revenge!” He says and everyone begins chanting your name.
“Your new champion Nemesis!” The announcer yells and the crowd is cheering, chanting your name but your gaze is stuck on the man that would lead you to your father. Nemesis, the goddess of divine retribution, seeks out evil and punishes them for their deeds. You would be getting your revenge starting with him.
You didn’t know after the fight you were going to be pulled away from the fight club, they said you were going to meet the Advocate. You end up back on the surface now in a large compound that had much traditional architecture but a more modern look. You were brought into a large office and there he was…Shinyo Takami, your father. He was older, his hair similar to Keigo’s but brown and longer pulled back, a large scar runs on the side of his jaw, his blood-red wings against his back as looks at you across the desk. Kase goes over to Takami, leaning over and whispering something in his ear and you see his eyes widen with surprise written on his face.
“You’re the one to kill my champion?” He says his voice was deep as his gaze tracked over you, he was surprised a girl your age was able to take someone twice your size and strength. You nod, keeping your face straight and he smirks. He grabs a cigar from a drawer lighting it up before inhaling the smoke, he looks at you as the smoke leaves out his nose.
“What quarrel do you have with us to go after my strongest man?” He says and you shrug.
“I have no problem with you or your fighters. I only wish for a place I can stay while I finish my work.” He nods, snapping his fingers, and the doors open. Two men drag in a man who was covered in bruises and cuts and he’s thrown in front of you.
“This man has betrayed me, I will allow you shelter here if you prove your loyalty.”
You pull your staff from behind you unsheathing one blade, the man before you cries out and begs for mercy, “Please I have a family, have mercy.” You felt yourself freeze slightly. You wouldn’t be able to turn back from this, the people before were bad. Blood was already on their hands and this was the only way to enact your revenge. His cries are silenced as you whip the blade across his throat spraying some onto your face. He makes a gasping noise before collapsing onto the ground, blood pooling around him.
“What were his crimes?” You say look at the body lying in front of you.
You hear your father laugh, “Nothing..” The air feels ice cold hearing that single word, you killed an innocent man just for your gain. You look up, staring at him with cold eyes, you have lost the innocent light and morals with this death.
“Welcome Nemesis…”
The door behind you closes as you look around the new room you would be living in, it was quite simple and traditional. There was a futon against the wall in the middle of it, a small closet against the wall across the bed, and a door to the left of the closest led to a full bathroom including a washer and dryer for you to use, there were also two large sliding doors parallel with the main door that when you open them up it led to the outside area and other ways around the compound. Walking to the bathroom you strip, take a shower cleaning off the sweat and blood on you for the past week. You hiss in pain having to crack your broken nose back into place.
After you get out you're dressed in a bathrobe. You fill up the tub with water and detergent that was under the sink. You throw your shirt, pants, socks, the left glove, cloak, and undergarments in the washer letting that go while in the tub you hand clean your boots, the belts, the vest, and your brace. You took the time scrubbing the dirt and grime off it. Being on the constant move in Hosu to avoid villains and find information didn’t give you the time to clean up. Leaving the items to air dry, you move the clothes into the drying, throwing in your boots as well. You then took the cleaning the staff and knife, you didn’t have a kit to clean your gun but you should be fine since you didn’t use it at all. Draining the brownish-red water you head back into the main room it was late from the fight club to you meeting your father. You lay down feeling sleep call to you and you sleep for the full night for the first time in a while.
When you woke up you could hear people walking around outside and voices getting louder as they got closer to your room and then left. You get up out of bed, get dressed, grab your staff, and put it in the back holster before leaving your room.
As you exit your room you hear someone call out your name, “Nemesis!” You turn to see Kase walking over to you. “You have work to do.”
When joining the Devil’s Advocate you weren’t just going to be able to live here and leave when you want so you were given work as a payment to stay. You would accompany workers during drug deals and weapon dealings as a form of protection but also in case they need to clean up loose ends. Your ledger of kills racks up quickly with how large group gangs work. You were given time by yourself and you use that to find whatever information on finding the League more specifically Dabi, though they haven’t gotten you any closer. Your connection to Takami however was starting to make you known to both villains and heroes as well. Villains knew of Shinyo Takami, the Devil’s Advocate for his work before creating this empire and now. Heroes knew of Shinyo Takami by relation to both Hawks and you and the name was getting too popular for heroes to ignore.
You had just got back from trying to find anything more on a location for the League but it only ends with another dead-end and a dead villain that lacked information. You were ready to go into your room and take a long nap, but your plans were ruined by Kase calling you out.
“The Advocate wants you.” You haven’t seen Takami since you first met, you would catch glimpses of him passing through the compound or nights at the fight club where you got the cash you would see him. He would be up in that private area with other people as they talked about who knows what or it would just be him as he watched you tear through your opponents. Both you and Kase walk into Takami's office, Kase going over to stand to the side of Takami while you stand in the middle of the room.
“You know you don’t have to wear that mask, I already know what you look like.” You hesitate, you rarely took it off once you left the comforts of your room only really pulling down the mask to eat or drink when you were completely alone. The only people who have seen you without a mask were Takami, Kase, and the random crowd for the fight club but that was a while ago so they probably didn’t remember all of them drunk or high off their minds.
You pull the mask down and he smiles, “Much better, now I have some business that I need to attend to and I need to make sure nothing goes wrong.” He pours himself a drink taking a swig of the liquor, “You’ll make sure nothing goes wrong hm?” He says his stare is piercing and you wonder if he forgot you and can’t see it was his child in front of him.
“I won’t disappoint you.” He smirks standing up and finishing his drink.
“I expect nothing below perfect from my champion.”
Night falls when you arrive at the old warehouse and it was what you usually expect in movies where the gangs meet up to exchange drugs, weapons, and money. You slip away from Takami and the group he comes with going around the building scaling up it and entering through one of the windows. You land on a catwalk that surrounds the entire floor giving you a vantage point from anywhere. It had begun to rain and it pounds against the roof. You hear the doors opening up and enter Takami and Kase along with a large group of men.
“And here he is the Devil’s Advocate. You are quite a powerful man Takami and in only a few months.” You hear a voice call out clapping his hands.
“You wished to make business with me so it would be better to hear whatever ass-kissing you’re gonna do personally.” You hear Takami say, from your viewpoint you could Takami talking to another man whose back was to you at the moment.
“I just hope all my business partners feel quite proud of their work and I must say you have quite a long list, though I wonder how you must deal with those children of yours.” The man says and you tense slightly and you could see Takami’s wings flexing slightly and getting annoyed.
“I mean one of them is the number two hero and your other is in U.A. very good hero school. You must have messed up parenting them to become villains.” He laughs and you see that Takami is silent. “I never care about those two and they wear the Takami name with shame.” He says.
“Now what do you want, Giran? Don’t you have your League children to go give them goodies?” He hisses. Wait, Giran knew the League. This was your first piece of good news that would get you closer.
“They're a bit busy at the moment but we keep in touch, though the League is always looking for people to join the fight. What happened to that one they call Nemesis, they're just what the League is looking for.” Giran says.
“They're occupied at the moment, they already have a place here anyway. Are you here to actually do business or just waste my time.” Takami says knowing you weren’t going to leave. You were somewhere in this building.
“Definitely business, probably in a more formal location.” You see him walk over to Takami and hold out a business card and Takami takes it. “Call and we’ll be sure to make a more serious arrangement.” The whole interaction was less than 15 minutes which was different from other meetings and dealings you went to some taking up to an hour or two.
“Why leave so soon, have clients lined up down the block?” Takami calls out as you see Giran walking backward away from him.
“Well, a huge load of police cars and heroes heading your way wouldn’t want to be in the way of that.” None of you have time to react as the large warehouse doors are broken down and police and some heroes rush in and its beings an all-out gun and quirk fight.
You jump down from the catwalk stopping a bullet from hitting Takami with your arm brace. Grabbing Takami’s arm you lead away from the fight Kase follows after protecting your back while you move. You kick down the metal door, the three of you heading outside with a few of Takami’s men. You rush towards the car, opening the door, and Takami and Kase get in one of the men running around to the driver’s side. You go to close the door when you feel a bullet hit you in the chest sending you down onto the ground, the wind getting knocked out of you. The car speeds off assuming you were killed.
You hear the cop coming up, “Takami got away but I was able to stop one member requesting medical assis-” You swing your staff out, thrusting the blade into his chest going right through his bulletproof vest into his heart. Blood spills down onto your face and you stand up quickly as the cop falls down the rain drenching you as well. You press a hand to your chest feeling a slight dent in the vest, thank god it was bulletproof.
“Hey, you!” A voice yells and you sprint through the street, you run up the wall pulling yourself up on the rooftop.
You can hear sirens going off and yells as you jump over gaps in buildings trying to put distance. With the rain becoming heavier and the darkness it was getting difficult to remain fast and safe. As you go to jump over another gap between buildings you feel a body collide with yours and you both go falling. You hit some railings and ducts as you crash down towards the ground, you hit the ground and don’t feel anything break but you can tell you’re gonna bruise. You groan, pushing yourself up to see the other person who grabbed you getting up as well.
You pull your staff out chucking it at them but they dodge it which surprises you with their fast reflexes. They rush at you throwing punches and kicks at you which you dodge and counter with your own and it becomes a back and forth. You rush at them to go get your staff when they twist around now behind you grabbing you by the neck flipping you over them and you hear something rip. You flip over rolling on the floor before standing up not realizing your mask is ripped and your hood has fallen off. Looking at the person before you you’re in shock not expecting him in front of you and you almost killed him without hesitation. His hair was cut short and he had a long scar running up the side of his face, making him quite similar to your father, just the different hair color. He was in complete shock seeing you in front of him, your eyes were cold, and calculated the scars going through your right eye and under your left hardened your expression. He almost didn’t recognize you with your hair change and the costume you wore but he did now. His sister was with their father working under him as the villain heroes heard and villains feared, Nemesis.
“What are you doing here?” You call out the rain pouring down on the two of you and you pick up your staff holstering it. The blood on your face getting cleaned off by the rain but not getting it all off.
“We heard the news that Devil’s Advocate was getting in contact with the League and that another villain was getting popular, and surprisingly both my father and sister were working together. Are you insane Y/n!” He yells out and you look away from him. “You're becoming more wanted with the murders you committed.”
“They were villains; they were going to die in prison or some other way.” You say and he looks disgusted.
“Do you hear yourself, why even join our father? Do you think he wouldn’t recognize you?!” He says throwing his hands in the air.
“If he did I would have been dead a while ago, he’s my link.”
“To the League, you think we haven’t figured out what you were doing when you left.” He says they knew that you were going after the League to kill Dabi. “You don’t have to do this, just stop and we can help you...I can help you.” He says and you whip your head to look at him.
“The heroes are going to help me? What have they done to help us at all, they only made our lives worse. Thought you would have figured it out in the file I left. The Commission. Every single thing they did was to hide the corruption and evil in the hero society. They drugged us to become better heroes, never telling us and never sharing it with the public. I see the truth in this world, heroes...villains it’s all bullshit! I intend to finish what you heroes fail to stop.” Hawks can’t believe the words coming out of your mouth, he couldn’t see a glimpse of the old you, only this new version of you that was cold-hearted and cruel.
“You’re different. The old you wouldn’t want this.” He says tears were streaming down his face but were masked by the rain.
“That’s what the truth does to a person.” You hear sirens coming your way and you could hear heroes calling out Hawks’ name. You turn your back away from him getting ready to run, “Don’t try following me again Keigo, I won’t hesitate next time to hurt you.” You rush out disappearing quickly in the rain and darkness. Hawks feeling the heat from flames come to him knowing it was Endeavor.
“Hawks you alright did Nemesis get away?” Endeavor is concerned by Hawks’ expressionless face, “Nemesis...Nemesis is Y/n.”
The cold rain pelts down on your face as you run through the dark city, the sound of sirens fades but you keep running. Keigo knew your goal, probably telling the heroes which limit your time frame you had to strike for the Devil’s Advocate now. You had to go after your father. You rush out darting into the street when bright lights flash and you feel the car hit you. You roll over the windshield right over the car hitting the ground rolling a bit and you feel pain in your knee. After you fell from the building and now this, you definitely heard something crack.
You can hear the car screech to a halt and someone rushing out of their car, “Oh my goodness are you okay?” The voice sounds familiar. You roll onto your stomach pushing yourself up to get on your knees right as the person is helping you up. “Are you alright?” You turn to see who hit you and you're staring at All Might whose jaw was open seeing one of his students staring back at him. “Young Takami?”
You push yourself away from your former teacher, clutching your ribs. He froze in shock. The moment of paralysis leaves him and he calls out your name about to go after you but you already ran off. You run for who knows how long until you end up in an abandoned store your lungs are burning your legs feel weak, and your knee is on fire. You find what used to be an office closing the door and locking yourself in. You see the room was used as a quick shelter for someone, you see there is a small fridge and you open it and find a small bottle of water. Grabbing it you chug it before falling back against the wall and taking in deep breaths. You thought tonight was going to be easy but here you were locked in an old store hiding from the heroes and also from yourself. Everything was different now.
What would you be able to go back to after you kill Dabi, you’re already a wanted criminal and your rap sheet is only going to get longer. You saw the way Keigo was looking at you, disgusted and afraid of what you became. What would your classmates think, you were a monster, a murderer, a villain. You would be able to look at them telling them it was what you had to do, you can’t picture what Midoriya would say to you. He would probably hate you, and your dreams of becoming a great hero side by side wouldn’t happen. You both were on opposite sides destined to be enemies. You feel tears fill your eyes sliding down your face though you do nothing to stop them, you don’t deserve to cry. Your friends and family should be crying ashamed of you, not you crying. You decided to do this and you couldn’t go back on it now. Exhaustion calls you and pulls you under and you sleep.
In an abandoned shipping yard, the heroes talked about the events that occurred, “We may have escaped that explosion by the skin of our teeth… but that blast erased any trace of the League.” Edgeshot says after the events in the past few days had been long and stressful for those heroes that remained. “Have we extracted anything more from Nagant?” he asks Endeavor.
“Not happening. She’s in such bad shape, the folks at Central hospital say they don’t even know she’s alive.” Endeavor says remembering how Lady Nagant was practically a corpse when she exploded.
“A woman afflicted by powerful despair still clinging desperately to life.” Kamui Woods says. “Endeavor. Is it time to stake everything on turning this around?” Edgeshot questions the Number One, “Maybe we should expand this beyond us and bring in every last remaining hero informing the others about Midoriya and One For All and throwing an all-encompassing net at this investigation.”
“That business with Lady Nagant made it clear that the brunt of hunting down the League will be left to Midoriya. The cops are up to their eyeballs with other problems, and there’ve been no eyewitness accounts of the League for a while. We should put together a task force before the pool of colleagues we can count on has dried up…” Mt. Lady says thinking about her old colleague Death Arms when he retired.
“Right. Desutegoro quit two days ago.” Endeavor mutters.
“In the big battle, he led the charge to round up the spy heroes working for the Paranormal Liberation Front. He seemed like a hero with some backbone to him. Any given hero’s thread could snap tomorrow, and it wouldn’t come as a shock. We hear about more heroes hanging up their costumes everyday.” Best Jeanist says. A lot of heroes resigned after Jaku and the Villa seeing many of their co-workers and friends die was too much for some.
“Plus the media’s closing in on Deku since heroes who do quit end up leaking details.” Endeavor adds, “With law and order all but gone, power runs unchecked in the streets, so we can’t let the world learn the truths behind One For All. If that were to happen, Deku will be the one caught in a vicious cycle of negativity.”
“I’ve been thinking,” Mt. Lady sighs, “Is All For One planning to go public? About Midoriya, I mean. And One For All… why not make that his opening move?”
“That would force us heroes to mobilize and lock Deku away somewhere safe. So his silence tells us he doesn’t want that still… unless Deku and the rest of us are out there taking action, we’ll never get any leads.” Endeavor says it’s silent between them all as the weight of hero work piles on them.
A phone buzz and Best Jeanist take his phone out, his eyes widening seeing the message, “All Might ran into Nemesis.” The heroes perk up hearing the villain’s name.
“Did she do anything?” Edgeshot asks and Best Jeanist shakes his head.
“No quite the opposite, after All Might accidentally hit her with his car she just ran off.”
“I still can’t believe that Nemesis is Hawks’ sister. Is he sure that’s her?” Mt. Lady says while they were worrying about Midoriya, another villain, an organization was rising in popularity that contained both Hawks’ father and sister.
“Hawks said that it was her and I trust his judgment.” Endeavor says though Hawks and him had their differences he could understand what he is going through to find out his own family has turned to a side of evil.
“This can’t be the same girl though her files for quirk registry she should only have the mutant quirk that’s it. She was shot at, fell off a building, and got hit with a car, and she is still able to continue.” Kamui points out. Any normal hero would have been down from just the gunshot.
“We know that she lacks her quirk but since she had removed the implant, we have a brief idea of what has happened to her, but we still don’t know what else the drugs could have done to her or the equipment she’s using.” Best Jeanist points out, “And since the closing of the Commission and the no other hero involved in the commission got their implants removed, we don’t know what else that formula could be hiding.”
Mt. Lady sighs, frustrated with everything going on, “So we have to keep an eye on Midoriya and try finding Takami at the same time, this will definitely be something.”
“Well we know she is working alongside the Devil’s Advocate and finding their headquarters won’t be long; it's just keeping up with her if she tries to flee,” Edgeshot says, looking at his colleagues. Endeavor is silent while they all discuss he had been the one to get to Hawks first, and within that interaction, something had changed and he was no longer the same smiling hero as before.
Keigo just stares out on the water outside the loading room the others were in, he didn’t know what to feel. Should he feel happy knowing she is alive and somewhat safe even though she is with their father, or betrayed that she abandoned them all to finish this stupid wish of hers? He didn’t sleep for days when you first left thinking that you were killed your first night or maybe the League had found you and killed you off. He had frequent nightmares of Dabi getting his clutches on you again and doing horrible, horrendous things to you. He couldn’t do anything but watch and hear your screams of pain and torment as you beg for mercy or even begged for death, to remove you from this cruel world and end your suffering.
He pulls something out of an inner pocket from his jacket holding the small Hawks toy in his hands. The plush is light in his hands and his grip would tighten on it. He leans his head back looking up at the sky trying to blink away tears. He hoped you were okay, even though his hatred for his father still stood he knew you would be safer there than out in the city by yourself when you're vulnerable and weak after fighting. Come back kid...please.

Actually offense. The Percy Jackson Tv show had no suspense. Everything was stated out right we never got to wonder or be suspicious/surprised because everything was stated. Some Examples Medusa, The fates, Furies, EVEN CRUSTY FOR GODS SAKES. There was no build up, even the Summer solstice failed. It was supposed to be a DEADLINE but they went passed it and brushed that off in one convo with Zeus. Hades complete mood switch???? Why was Athena so petty?? Like yes Athena is most likely petty but she wouldn’t take a risk like that its, NOT smart.
Dont get me started on the last episode Traitor reveal. NO SUSPENSE No dramatic drop just. “Your the lightning thief..” LIKE BRO WHAT WHERES MY 60 SECONDS.
Im sorry to say this but I wasn’t content or happy with the tv show. Even the Cgi was weird and the fighting was terrible. The sparing they did with Luke and Percy was the best fight scene in that while show… and that is just sad. Even the fight with ARES was underwhelming. Im hoping they’ll take this criticism and really change that for season two I want dramatic drops, build up, TIME TO BREATH. MAYBE EVEN A LONG FIGHT? They drop so much lore and so fast you don’t have time to digest.
Im pissed about the May lore drop WE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT HER UNTIL BOOK 5. ANNABETH WASN’T EVEN ALLOWED INSIDE (or it was just the kitchen I believe) BUT STILL. Annabeth was almost as clueless as Percy if I remember correctly. Even if she wasnt she doesn’t have the right to spill that secret of Lukes like girl what?? Luke shouldn’t have told about Thalia but still at least she was his friend as well but his trauma about his mom was not yours to share also guilt tripping Hermes??
May’s fate wasn’t even really Hermes fault. He tried to talk her out of it and it was Hades who cursed the oracle in the first place. Im just so upset about all the secrets that were revealed early.
The acting didn’t have much emotion or I felt they portrayed it wrong. For instance Percy reacted to almost everything with the same face. The show was way to dry for my liking. Percy jackson is supposed to be funny. Sally kind of seemed like a mean mom iykwim. I mean she just had no patience for Percy at all and it constantly felt like she was guilt tripping him… no just me??? I get that shes a struggling and single parent but Whattt???? She’s supposed to be supportive, kind and loving. If I met that sally I wouldn’t expect her to sit me down in her kitchen offering us a blanket and cookies.
THEY DID GABE FOWL. They did him so poorly that man did not deserve to die sure he was a dead beat but seriously?? Tartarus would not smell like him. They should have just let him get divorced it would have made sense but turning him to stone?? For what being a lazy, grouchy stepdad??
Gabe in the book was abusive manipulated just a straight up Piece of sewer gunk. He HIT them he abused them and manipulated them into staying quiet. The entire scene with the cops and everything. The guy in the show tho?? He looks like he’d fall over from the raise of a hand bro wouldn’t even be able to throw a punch. He doesn’t even have a job?? He looks like the worst he would do is yell and make fun of you because he’s probably projecting because he’s completely useless but deserving death?? He was more of a nuisance he didn’t deserve to die being divorced and alone forever I can’t understand but seriously??
Also the Percabeth slow burn… they’re pushing it they were just friends in the first book maybe in the second we start getting into it. But seriously the first season? She just started opening up to him in the first book. WE DIDN’T EVEN GET THEIR TALK LIKE UGH WHAT I wanted the Annabeth backstory about her dad but they didn’t have the convo about her going home for the summer we didn’t get into it. They’re overcooking my 5 book long slow burn.
They stuffed to much into too short of episodes that we didn’t get time to breath or get to know our characters. It was just a one minute battles here and there, a few conversations about impending doom and Percy being sad about his mom like. I know I’m being Petty but they should have split most of those episodes into two so we had more time to learn about our characters or digest the info dumps. The first episodes had me reeling I swear my head was swirling. The characters themselves didn’t have time to breath “Oh your claimed by poseidon now you have to go on a deadly quest to find the master bolt everyone thinks you stole but we think hades stole it also he probably has your mom.” Why are they shoving everything in our face. Percy in the books had 3 DAYS to come to terms with his parentage but show percy had like a day AT MOST.
I don’t know, they just could have done so well but they didn’t. I swear Mikey mouse must have tied Rick to a chair no way he said yeah this is amazing or a good script decision. THERE WERE SO MANY PLOT HOLES or decisions that didn’t make any sense.

Time is flying by fast, and that villain asshole knows something, but he never opens his damn mouth even though he doesn’t have much to lose.
I’m not really up to talking now. Give me a day, and we can discuss your note. But just…leave me alone for the night.
“L/n will be out today as she got into a fight on her way back to the dorms yesterday. Although I’m sure many of you already know that.” Aizawa flips his file open and stands at the lectern, eyebags on broad display. “She’ll be back tomorrow—”
“Aizawa-sensei, where’s Bakugou?”
Eijiro had beat Izuku to the question the moment he saw the empty seat in front of him. It was unlike Katsuki to skip class.
“He’s taking care of her because she’s out of the dorms today. We don’t want a repeat of yesterday.”
Izuku feels a little insulted by that. It felt as if Aizawa had chosen Katsuki over him because he had more faith that the explosive boom boom man could take better care of you than he could. He knows that wasn’t the case, but a twinge of jealousy still settled in his heart and refused to leave.
He tried to gloss over everything that happened the best he could when his classmates asked yesterday, but it still got Katsuki leaving the dorms even though visitor hours were ending in mere minutes. He wasn’t back until the sky was dark either.
And that’s when he backtracks. Wait*, out of the dorms*? You just recovered from a huge amount of blood loss and a knife to the shoulder blade! How could Aizawa allow you to leave again? “She’ll be back by nightfall with Bakugou.”
Roars of questions and raise hands fill the classroom as Tenya attempts to calm everyone down with his excessive, robotic arm gestures. It doesn’t work.
“Enough!” Aizawa shouts, eyes glowing red.
The class is consumed by pin-drop silence in under 5 seconds.
“If anything, you should worry about yourselves. Summer holidays might be coming up, but with all the lost time due to the war, you’ll have to brave extra remedial classes to get up to speed. Discuss this incident in your free time. Class dismissed.”
Izuku wonders if you’ve read his note. There’s something stirring inside of him again, the strange feeling like something wasn’t quite right, like you were hiding something big from him. His head throbs, causing him to wince. But he’d given his word to wait, didn’t he?
He frowns and slumps in his seat. He’ll just have to check in with you after school.
--
Last Night
“You don’t seriously expect me to go along with this,” Aizawa sighs, eyebrow raised in genuine amusement.
“Sure, you’re being discharged tomorrow morning if the tests run are clear, but that doesn’t mean you can go gallivanting off wherever you want. If anything, you should be at the dorms, resting.”
“Sir, I need to see him again.” You insist. “I do it every year, and the connection between yesterday’s attack and my past with Izuku is only going to cause more problems if we can’t figure out a way to break his Quirk.”
“I’m not compromising U.A.’s students’ safety for this,” Aizawa deadpans, “You’re going through a tough time now, and the guy took you by surprise. You’re still learning, so I’ll give you a free pass on that, too. But going out to Tartarus is like walking straight into a lion’s den.”
“Then I’ll walk into the den with her.”
Both of your eyes flicker to the blond leaning on the side of the infirmary’s door frame, eyes sharp and arms folded. “Tartarus, eh? Sure, let’s do it.”
“Kacchan can help me then!” You jump in. “All Might can drive us there. We’ll only talk to him for an hour, you know how the procedure usually goes.”
Aizawa doesn’t say anything, simply staring at Katsuki like he was something he pulled off his shoe.
“I’m the only one actually caught up with the curriculum, aside from that green mop-headed nerd.” Katsuki shrugs. “A day wouldn’t hurt to miss for something this big.”
The next day, two forms of approval to leave the dorms were set by your makeshift bedside table.
--
Present
“And I was hoping that with the shenanigans of the outside world, you’d finally lose hope and I’d be free from your annual torment,” The villain, Isamu Suzuki, sighs, strapped down to a metal chair. “I see you brought a friend with you today.”
“I’m just here to make sure that she doesn’t have to do this alone. So don’t you dare pull some weird psychological shit, got me?” Katsuki says, tone cold, before flopping down on his armchair. Now that he’s in front of you, you can sort of see the family resemblance. His hair was longer than before, blond hair running past his shoulders. But he had the same ice-blue-like eyes as his brother you met not 24 hours ago.
“You really are a lucky girl,” Isamu sighs, making you stiffen. “Not only do you have that green-haired imp as a friend, but you also have one of the most volatile people on the planet helping you through something as trivial as this.”
“Shut it, asshole,” Katsuki grits out, crimson eyes staring daggers at the villain. “I ain’t the one on the other side of this glass, am I?”
Isamu goes quiet at that.
“We captured your brother yesterday.” You start, and it makes the blue-eyed villain’s eyes snap to you. “He was trying to avenge you.” You leaned back, not letting an inch of fear cloud your voice. “He wanted to kill me.”
“Where is he?” He demands, eyes glaring at you. “What did he do—?”
“Then tell me how to release Izuku from your Quirk,” You offer, standing firm. “You have nothing to lose. I don’t see why you have the persistence to hold out for over 6 years.”
“Don’t play mind games with me, brat.” He sneers, turning his head away. “You’ve been haggling with me for the past half-decade. Do you really think I’ll tell you what you want just like that? Fat chance.”
Staring at the scene playing out in front of him, Katsuki’s hands start to steam. “Do you want to know about your shitty brother or not?”
Isamu’s expression changes, dulling a little. Then, his lips curl into a hair-raising smile. “You know, I saw him back when All For One freed all of Tartarus.” His eyes are small, beady and knowing. “Deku, right? Your precious Zuku captured me in 5 minutes flat while he was on his rampage.”
My eyebrows twitch, and I remain silent.
“He didn’t even recognise me, even though it’s only been 5 years.” He continues, adding insult to injury. “I’m not surprised, though. He always did have a heart of a hero…” He pauses for a pregnant moment, eyes glowing bright blue.
“Just like when he protected you all those years ago.”
“Quit talking about it like that,” You mutter, voice low. “We were just kids.”
“Kids that threw me in jail,” he sighs, “You’ve always been a lucky girl, having him save you like that.”
And for some reason, that’s the line that makes you snap.
“Why does everyone keep saying that?” You explode, hands fisting the armchair’s thick leather. “Did you think I wanted to get involved? I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it costed me Zuku’s memories. Why did you erase his memories that day? Why did you choose me?”
Your eyes well up with unshed tears, and you feel Katsuki’s hand on your shoulder. A silent form of support you didn’t have the time to appreciate.
“If the asshole’s getting to you, we should go. Don’t force yourself to be in the same room as this asshole for too long,” he whispers, voice warm and coaxing.
That day replays in your mind like rusty DVD tape, static lining your memories as you recall your last day with him before even reaching middle school.
It’s painful.
--
15th July, 6 years ago. (10 years old)
“Starlight, come on! Slow down—”
“Not a chance!” You replied, pulling him along with an award-winning smile on your face. “It’s your birthday! I won’t let Kacchan ruin it just because he’s not here. We’ll have cake and I even got you a present—ooph!”
A man in his early 20s crashes into you, and you immediately recoil back as Izuku frantically catches you, eyes shining with concern. Big wads of cash fly in the air as money scatters.
“Are you alright?!” Izuku asks, voice hitching.
The man gets up on his feet and whips to the both of you. Eyes brimming with anger, he starts to pick up the cash as quickly as he could manage. “Shit, shit, shit—”
“He’s over there!” A policeman says, pointing over at the man in the baseball cap. Frantically, he grabs you by the arm and yanks you away from Izuku, making you cry out. Izuku scrambles to get you back, but when the man shouts, he goes frozen stiff. “One more step and this one gets the full blast of my quirk!”
You didn’t know it at that time, but he was bluffing about having a quirk that could murder people. With everything flying by so fast, no one probably noticed how badly the robber was shaking, or how his words were rushed and forced.
All you could think about at that moment was how much you didn’t want to die. If you’d just been looking at where you were going, none of this would have happened. Izuku would still be here with you, memories intact and untainted.
The next second is a chaotic one, because that’s when a hero shows up. There’s frantic shouting by the blue-eyed captor, repeating his phrase as you’re frozen stiff in his tight grip. You don’t even want to breathe, too scared that if you move a muscle, that would be your last movement at all.
More people come and the baseball hat dude is getting desperate. There’s a purse with wads of cash at his feet, and you can tell that he just wants to take it and flee. One small movement from the police pushes the baseball cap dude off the edge.
“I said stay back!” He yells frenziedly, activating his quirk.
That was the first time you ever thought: This is it. I’m going to die.
You wish it was something a little less conceited, about how Izuku or your parents felt to have their daughter sent back to them dead after a normal day of school.
That was the only thought that raced past in your mind as desperate arms pull you out of the baseball cap dude’s grasp.
You’re thrown on the hard pavement, the rocky ground causing your knee to bleed out. You don’t feel anything though, because your best friend had taken your place.
“Zuku—!” You wheeze, lunging for him, but it was too late.
The man’s quirk had activated, and Izuku’s head lolls over as his green eyes, full of fear but relief that you’re safe, flutter close. You grab his hand desperately, shaking him. The baseball cap dude doesn’t move as he’s yanked away from Izuku, and in a second he’s back and smirking at you as he’s dragged away from the scene.
“Don’t expect him to be the same when he wakes up,” He yells while getting shoved into a vehicle.
The heroes involve comfort you, but it doesn’t stop you from sobbing like a child, calling out your best friend’s name in loud, ragged sobs.
--
“I saw his memories of you,” He shakes his head in disgust, rolling his eyes. “There were many of you and that short-fused bomb over there—”
“Oi!”
“But it was mostly you.” Isamu continues without missing a beat. “I never saw such unwavering devotion from anyone, much less a child. He pushed you out of the way without hesitation, not even caring about what the consequence was.”
“You want to know why I chose you?” Isamu glares at you, practically spitting now. “It’s because he’d do anything to protect you, just like I’d do anything to provide for my brother,” He snarls, before his glare evaporates into a more sombre expression, expression softening. “And now look at where we both are.” He shrugs, a sad smile stretching across his face.
“They’re both gone.”
Katsuki’s hand on my shoulder is the only form of comfort you feel now. With his help, you stand up shakily, cheeks wet. “Don’t ever, compare my relationship with Zuku with you and your brother. We are nothing alike,” You hiss, turning heel to stalk out of the door. “We’re done here.”
“And I thought you were one of the kinder ones out of all these heartless heroes in the room.” He scoffs, “You still haven’t given me intel about my brother—”
“Your brother can burn in hell for all I care.”
With that, you slam the door shut behind you, and dissolve in Katsuki’s arms.
--
Izuku can’t read you when you get back. You sound fine, but you kept evading conversations pertaining to where you went all through dinner. That’s when the note comes in, so late that Izuku had completely forgotten about its existence. It’s on his mug, the one he always uses whenever he’s working late into the night.
I’m not really up to talking now. Give me a day, and we can discuss your note. But just…leave me alone for the night.

Pearl Girls: Penthouse Showdown
Tumblr media
–Part of the Pearl Girls series.
Argent
“Listen closely, Alexis,” Crystal Creese said to me over video chat. “From what you told me about Yvonne, I suggest you wear your black leather corset, garters, and stockings. It will be your best chance to rekindle your relationship. At least, the best chance without me there to help smooth things over. Are you certain you can’t wait until tomorrow night when I’m back in town?”
As much physical intimacy I had shared with Crystal over the past few weeks, I’d kept many secrets from her: My life as a Pearl Girl. Seducing a married professor ... and being whipped by his wife. My secret identity as the superheroine Argent.
One of the few things I had confided in her was the non-superheroic portion of my failed relationship with Yvonne Yates. There was no one else I could turn to for advice about how best to renew the intimacy that Yvonne and I had once shared, when we fought crime as the heroines Argent and Sable and met as lovers in the bedroom.
I hadn’t told Crystal that I was only reaching out to Yvonne because executive Pearl Girl Treasure Tartarus had ordered me to. As a form of punishment, she was forcing me to choose between protecting Yvonne and being completely loyal to Treasure. As ashamed as I was to admit it, I’d chosen Treasure. Even more shameful, my ever-present pearl necklace buzzed throughout my body with the bliss of obedience. Worst of all, I had an identical pearl necklace in a case in my bedroom. I planned to slip it around Yvonne’s throat, turning her into a submissive Pearl Girl like me.
After all that, I wasn’t about to tell Crystal that I needed to seduce Yvonne so urgently. I’d promised to deliver her as a newly-programmed Pearl Girl to kneel at Treasure’s feet before the end of the day. “I’m sorry, Crystal. Yvonne will lose her nerve by then. Or I will.”
Crystal's sexy smirk filled the screen. “If I were a different type of mistress, I’d order you to wait.”
I smiled back. “If you were different type of mistress, I wouldn’t have given you a passcode to my private elevator and an open invitation to my penthouse.”
“I suppose not,” Crystal laughed. “That’s exactly the type of confidence we talked about, Alexis. You’ve been very subby for me lately, which is delicious. But Yvonne remembers you as a domme. You need to switch and show her you still know how to take charge of the situation … and take care of her needs.”
“You’re right, Crystal. Thank you. I’ll wear my dominatrix leather and show her who’s boss.” I didn’t say that the pearls would show Yvonne that Treasure Tartarus was the boss of both of us. “I’d better go. Have a safe trip home.”
“Good luck, Alexis. I look forward to putting both you and Yvonne through your paces.”
I didn’t say that it would depend on what Mistress Treasure allowed. Instead, I slipped into the shower. There was more than an hour before Yvonne was scheduled to arrive, and I’d never known that girl to be early for anything.
Sable
I’d need to get to Alexis’s place early to have any chance to teaching Alexis her place at Professor Patriarchy’s feet!
After a whole semester of missed connections, I was so grateful that Alexis had finally agreed to meet me on such short notice. Professor Patriarchy had massaged the requirement into my brain that I absolutely could not cum until Alexis knelt before him. My body burned with release. I don’t know how much longer I would have been able to hold out.
Luckily, Alexis called me to meet up, so I wouldn’t need to wait long.
The plan was simple. Once I surprised Alexis by being early, I’d make a super-smooth pass at her, under the guise of “reconnecting.” Once she let me in close, I’d slide my fingers into her hair and use the special pressure points on her scalp that Professor Patriarchy had shown me. The stimulus would paralyze her body and reshape her thoughts, just as I’d done for my roommate, Thora Thames.
Although Alexis was likely too stubborn to submit to me alone, all I needed to do was stun her long enough to unlock the private elevator. The Professor would be in the lobby, waiting for his chance to get his fingers around Alexis’s skull and reshape her brain into someone who knew how good it felt to kneel.
In the past, I had usually let Alexis take the lead, both as her sidekick and as her lover. However, I was afraid that if I let her set the pace of our meeting, I might lose my chance. My intense need to cum when Alexis submitted to the Professor kept me driven, but made it hard to think more than a step or two in advance. Arriving early would put her off balance, which would only help the Professor claim what he deserved: Alexis’s complete and total obedience.
Unless she’d changed it, I still had a passcode for Alexis’s private elevator. However, using it would alert her I was on my way up. I opted for a better surprise. Using my superheroic powers, I flew up to the balcony. My charcoal gray school blazer and dark plaid pleated skirt weren’t as concealing as my all-black Sable costume had been. But even in Skarlette City, people didn’t regularly look up, expecting to see a woman soaring through the sky.
Plus, I was fast. Four seconds after I lifted off in a nearby alleyway, my saddle shoes touched down on the balcony of Alexis’s penthouse. Slipping inside, Alexis wasn’t in the living room or the kitchen. I arrived outside the master bathroom just in time to hear the shower turn off.
This was going to be easier than I thought! I stood right in front of the bathroom door. When Alexis opened it, I’d say some sort of really smooth, charming line. She’d be overcome with desire for me and kiss me on the spot. From there, it would only be a few moments until my fingers on her scalp left her stunned and open to Professor Patriarchy’s lessons.
A few minutes later, Alexis threw open the door and shrieked in surprise. “Yvonne!” She dropped the terrycloth robe she’d been pulling on. All she wore was a towel wrapped around her hair and that stupid pearl necklace she was so fond of.
Now was my chance! All I needed was the perfect sexy one-liner that would make her throw herself at me. Droplets of water clung to her soft skin, and little rivulets flowed from stray strands of her platinum blond hair that was longer than I’d ever seen it. Just one clever phrase would make her mine. Her nipples stood straight up, yearning for touch. It was the perfect time to be charming and make her come to me. She’d completely shaved her pubic hair, something she's sworn she would never do.
“You are so fucking hot, Alexis.” I threw my arms around her neck and kissed her.
So much for clever!
Argent
I had forgotten how tender Yvonne’s lips were. As shocking as it had been to see her right outside my bathroom door—a full thirty minutes early, no less—and how disappointed I was in her male-gaze-focused “naughty schoolgirl” outfit, the overriding emotions I felt were relief and gratitude. Gratitude that Yvonne and I still had a connection. Relief that I’d be able to use that connection to turn her into a Pearl Girl.
Of course, the necklace that would make her a Pearl Girl was down the hall in my bedroom. I luxuriated in the soft, hot, wet pressure of her lips on mine, running my hands over her shapely flesh. With gentle nudges and half-steps, I urged Yvonne toward the bedroom. I could afford to take my time and relish her feminine curves and spry little tongue that I’d missed for so many months.
For her part, Yvonne was following my lead but had unwound the towel from my hair, dropping it in a soggy mass on the hallway floor. Her hands glided under my wet hair, pressing against my scalp. Slowly, she slid his fingers this way and that while gently pressing against my head. My toes curled. My throat moaned. My pussy dripped. The sensation was amazing. Who knew a scalp massage could be this erotic?
Somehow, her talented fingers stroked my scalp in perfect harmony with her luscious lips and insistent knee working its way between my thighs. The pleasure from all three pulsed in time with one another, each one echoing the other two, leaving me awash in bliss. My senses overflowed with ecstasy, drowning out my drive to steer Yvonne toward my bedroom. I leaned back against the wall, all strength massaged out of my mind. Her fingers danced among my wet hair as I slid down the wall, all thoughts of the pearl necklace forgotten in my haze of—
BUZZ! A buzzing, burning, electric lust arced from my necklace to my spine to my clit. My eyes shot open as I moaned against Yvonne’s lips. I needed to obey Treasure. I needed to get that necklace. Yvonne continued her heavenly scalp massage, but I couldn’t enjoy it. My body trembled with jittery, buzzing, crackling desire.
I broke our kiss and pulled myself to my feet. “I’m so glad to see you, too, Yvonne. I, um, got you something. I’ll go and, uh, get it.” Caressing my own pearls for reassurance, I pulled myself from her arms and flew down the hall. Literally.
Sable
I knew that Alexis would be reluctant to learn her proper place a Professor Patriarchy’s feet, but I never expected her to shrug off the seductive power of his mental focus technique. For a moment, it felt like I'd had her. Alexis had relaxed into the pleasure of my touch. Ever so slowly, her powerful body had melted, sagging against the wall. Inch by inch I had been easing her to the floor.
The moment before her knees hit the Persian rug, Alexis’s body had jerked as though she’d been hit with a cattle prod. She’d shot to her feet, clutching those stupid pearls. Muttering something about a gift, she flew down the hall. Literally.
Shit!
If even catching her by surprise wasn’t enough for me to stun Alexis, I would definitely need the Professor's help to fully subdue her. Rushing to the entryway, I punched in the passcode to unlock the elevator and disabled the notifications. As soon as the Professor arrived, he would be able to join me in the penthouse. At least then we’d have Alexis outnumbered. But where was he?
“There you are, Yvonne!” Alexis said from behind me. She’d pulled on a green silk robe and stood in the hallway with one hand on her pearl necklace. With the other, she held out a fancy-looking jewelry case. “This is for you.”
Inside was a single string of plain, white pearls, their pristine sheen dazzling against the black satin-finish of the case. I had never seen jewelry so beautiful. Just glancing at them made me wonder how delicious they would feel against my throat. I couldn’t take my eyes off them, the appeal was so irresistible.
In that instant I understood how Alexis had resisted the mental focus technique. And I knew exactly what to do about it.
“They’re beautiful pearls, Alexis,” I said, tossing my dark hair off my shoulders. “Put them on me.”
Her eyelids fluttered with pleasure at my words. “You won’t regret this, Yvonne.” She took the necklace in trembling fingers and stepped closer.
For Alexis to be near enough to reach my throat meant that I could reach hers. While she was focused on my necklace, I grabbed hers with both hands. One sharp yank snapped the gold chain in two places. Squeezing the remnants with my superheroic strength, there was a tiny electrical pop and the smell of ozone. I crushed her pearl necklace to dust.
At my neck there was a tiny click, nearly drowned out by Alexis’s sharp gasp. She gazed down at me, her eyes wide.
Argent
For the first time in months, my eyes were open. I could see what had become of me. My prized pearl necklace hadn’t been just some tangible symbol of a new life of liberated pleasure I’d been building for myself. Those tiny, white pearls had been an unbreakable collar around my mind. All this time, some part of me had been struggling against the incessant, buzzing pleasure that directed my actions as surely as a horse’s bit and bridle. After pushing against the pearls for so long, their sudden absence left a void that was filled with the shame of all the things I’d done as a Pearl Girl. Burying my face in my hands, I sank to the floor.
How could I have done such twisted, humiliating, and hurtful things as “Professor Pearl Girl”? How could I have turned my back not only my responsibilities as a superheroine, but my duties as an educator and my own sense of dignity?
Worse, how could I have developed such a fetish around it that even as I sobbed over my wrongdoing, my pussy still dripped?
Down the hall, I heard the elevator doors open. The fact that the security system wasn’t supposed to admit anyone paled before the magnitude of what I’d done as a Pearl Girl. Of who I had become. Of the trusts I had betrayed.
Heavy footsteps approached behind me. I knew I needed turn to face them, but opening my eyes meant seeing the face of my greatest betrayal: Yvonne. Even now, the pearl necklace I’d placed around her neck was working its devious, buzzing net of pleasure around her mind. Removing it meant touching it, and I knew that despite my superpowers, I didn’t have the strength for that. The moment my skin caressed a single pearl, I would be lost to the pleasure again. There was only one thing I feared more than falling under the sway of the pearls again: The part of me that ached to submit once more.
“Doctor Ames, you arrogant cunt,” growled a deep, masculine voice from behind me. It was Professor Paulson, the misogynist who had pressed his ideas into Yvonne’s head. “You’ve fallen right into my trap—captured by your own perverted, homosexual desires. I would say that you’ll regret the day you crossed me, but you won’t regret anything. By the time I’m done with you, that over-educated head of yours won’t be able to spell ‘regret,’ let alone feel it.” Powerful thighs grazed my back as rough hands tore open my silk robe and groped my breasts.
Maybe it would be better just to let it happen, to be mindless again, to be free from shame and agency and regret.
“Once you’re mine, the real fun will begin,” he said. “I’ll turn you against every other uppity bit of trim who trusts you. You’ll bring them to me just like this little slut brought you to your knees.”
He ran his fingers through my hair, each stroke offering the promise of mindless bliss forevermore.
He’d make me betray my fellow women? Would he turn me against Crystal? Against my students? Against the Libido League?
Against Treasure?
With superpowered reflexes, I jerked my head backwards. I hit a tumescent bulge. There was a shriek and the sound of a body hitting the floor a dozen feet behind me.
The only way to keep from becoming a tool for villains was to do the work of a hero. No matter how shameful it would be to face my failure, I had no other choice.
Taking a deep breath, I looked up at Yvonne.
Sable
Oh wow. The moment Alexis fastened the catch of the necklace, my body filled with a intense buzzing sensation, like sitting on a motorcycle a full rev. But I was standing still. The buzzing was so intense that it filled every inch of me. My mind was trapped on the far side, a faint whisper against the all-encompassing, senses-shattering buzz of the pearls.
I relished the sensations for a short eternity. Minor fluctuations of the buzz moved my hands. They pulled my phone from my jacket pocket. They started to dial a number I didn’t know.
Alexis took the phone from my hand. “Easy, Yvonne. I’ll dial for you,” she said.
She handed it back and I brought it to my ear. Alexis flew down the hall and out of the penthouse. The buzz left no room for me to react. On the third ring, a woman’s voice answered, both familiar and not. “Absinthe Jewelers. How may you be of service?”
The buzz spoke with my lips. “First time Pearl Girl. I am … I am alone.”
“Excellent, Yvonne. Stand by for your first lesson. An established Pearl Girl will be with you soon to begin your training.” The line went dead. I stood motionless, cocooned in a buzz of bliss.
Alexis flew back into the room. “Pearl Girl Yvonne, I’m here to begin your training.”
“I am ready for instruction,” the buzz said through my mouth. Saying those words super-charged the buzz. Every nerve was on alert, ready to be molded. It intensified its hold on every cell of my body. It enhanced my sense of touch a thousand times. Every caress of Alexis’s hand was like a dozen orgasms in one.
And yet, I didn’t actually crest, my body still tight and needy from Professor Patriarchy’s commands.
Alexis took her time. She asked me every detail of my lessons at the Professor’s heel. Every question I answered, she rewarded me with pleasure. She then explained how the Professor was wrong. Point by point she refuted his arguments. Working my fingers over my scalp, she desensitized my body, making it immune to his phrenological manipulations. Every word, every thought, every touch was sealed into my brain with the inexorable buzz of the pearls.
By the time she’d smoothed out every other hook he had within my mind, my body was quaking with the need to climax. Despite all that Alexis had taught me, Patriarchy still had that single hold over me. I couldn’t cum until Alexis knelt before him. I whimpered.
After an eternity on the edge of a climax that would rewrite my mind, Alexis snapped, “Yvonne, open your eyes.”
Argent
When it was clear that the pearls alone weren’t going to dislodge Paulson’s last hook in Yvonne’s mind, I knew I had to show her what she needed to see. Just maybe not the way Paulson had expected her to see it.
I hoisted the Professor’s unconscious bulk onto the coffee table. As Yvonne looked at me with desperate, tranced-out eyes, I pulled his hands behind his back. Positioning a pair of Libido League superpower-dampening cuffs at his wrists, I knelt beside him to fasten them.
The moment my knee touched the floor, Yvonne let out a sharp cry. Her eyes rolled back, every muscle in her body going taut. As wave after wave of climax worked its way through her body, I caught her in my arms. Guiding her trembling flesh to the sofa, I whispered encouragement in her ear. “This pleasure comes from you, Yvonne. You deserve this pleasure. It is your birthright. You will always be worthy of it.”
When her body finally stilled, I was confident I’d freed her from Paulson’s hateful grasp. It was time for Yvonne to make up her own mind.
“Your instruction is complete, Yvonne. Crush your pearl necklace just like you crushed mine,” I said, a tear rolling down my cheek.
With an electric pop, Yvonne tore the necklace in half and ground it to dust between her super-powered fingers. After a few moments, her eye fluttered open and found my face. “Did that really just happen, Alexis? Or was it the most fucked-up wet dream ever?”
I laughed. “Even after all we’ve been through this semester, you still know the perfect thing to say, chum.”
“I don’t know about perfect, but right now saying anything that doesn’t begin with ‘I obey’ is a win.” We collapsed into giggles, holding each other in our arms. I had missed her so much, it felt like another lifetime that we’d been together like this, easy and free.
Once our mirth and tears had subsided, Yvonne looked up at me with her big, trusting eyes. “Seriously, Alexis, what’s the next move? There’s so much stuff going wrong at the school, but how are we going to stop it without revealing our secret identities? Even if we do, how will we possibly show our face in front of the rest of the students? What will the League think of us when they learn what happened? What about—“
I pressed my finger against her lips. “There will be time for worries later, chum,” I said. In order to address Yvonne’s doubts, I would need to quiet my own. “For now, we start with what we have. This Professor Patriarchy asshole is out of commission. His super-seductive scalp massage is too dangerous for the police to handle. We’ll need to take him to Libido League Tower. After that, we set our sights on Skarlette City University. We won’t rest until every Pearl Girl is freed from her bejeweled collar and those responsible have been brought to justice.”
Now to see if it was easier said than done.

Keeper of the Underworld Files
Chapter Three
⚠️: Cursing (honestly I think this applies pretty consistently throughout the story)

Tumblr media
I only had to wait another half hour or so for the next load of souls, but oddly enough, Chiron came back with just one. I looked at him questioningly as the boat came closer to the dock, he just shrugged at me. He came up, soul in tow and gave me the paperwork and coins, but not the regular kind, he dropped me a fistful of what looked like arcade tokens, I had to wonder how he was even allowed to accept this. All Chiron did was mouth “I have no clue” before walking away.
Great, I always wanted to be left alone with some weird ass mystery soul. I had to do stacks and stacks of paperwork just to order a new desk when some angry grunt of a man broke my last one. Imagine how much paperwork I would have to do to file in a messed up soul. How do you even mess up a soul?
So many questions and no time to even attempt to answer any of them because I have to process this soul right now, *sigh* such a demanding job, HR must hate me, I really can’t keep a file short to save my life. So I opened the file “what in the actual Tartarus?” I muttered to myself when all the file said were these five words, five words which I might add, I had never in 3,000 years seen in a file: “THIS FILE DOES NOT EXIST”. How the River friggin Styx, does this file not exist!?! Shit, I was going to have so much paperwork to do. I’ve never even seen anything like this, I don’t think we even have paperwork for this scenario, don’t you just hate it when unprecedented scenarios come up at work.
I slowly looked up to see an oddly dull grey woman with electric blue eyes. Sure her eyes were electric blue in colour, but they lacked the vividness that showed a soul. This thing had no soul? Why is it even here, this is NOT within my jurisdiction (Not that a lot is, I mean I really just sit here and do basic maths, aside from that I’m just your average secretary really). “Hello there” I said to her(?) as calmly as I could possibly manage. “Hello” She replied flatly “would you mind telling me a few things about yourself?” I inquired. She didn’t have a soul, but she was here, so she had to have been alive at one point, I guess, kinda sorta, in some strange way. “They took me down,” She said in that same tone. Took her down? She was murdered?
This was beginning to make less and less sense, “would you mind repeating that?” I asked with a raised eyebrow “They took me down” She deadpanned again. Down from where? Earth? Because if that’s so then I could have told her that. “How do you mean?” I asked, she waited for a beat “They took me offline” She droned. I have no idea what that means, I mean I’ve never been to the surface before so I’m not exactly up to date with all the lingo. There was only one deity that I knew to call about weird words like “Offline” so I picked up my phone for the second time that day and began to dial Hermes. The thing didn’t even get the chance to ring, he must be on his break, or just slacking off, but that’s none of my business and even if it were I wouldn’t rat out a friend like that.
“Hermes, leave a message after the beep… Beep. And if you’re stupid enough to believe that you can leave a voicemail on a rotary phone then you should hang up now and never call me back!” Hermes bellowed into the phone “Hermes, what does Offline mean?” I asked ignoring his opening “Wow, right to business Keeper. Not even a ‘Hi, how are you’?” Hermes jested “Hi, how are you? Now what does Offline mean?” I sassed him “Well I’m not completely familiar with the definition of it, but it’s one of those weird digital terms. I think it’s like not having any internet” Hermes posed “Great, now if only I knew what internet was” I said through the phone “Uh, I don’t really know, but the best way I can explain it is like, if the phone disconnected right now, then it would be like this phone was Offline, sort of” Hermes tried to explain.
“I don’t have time for sort of right now, Hermes. Is it or isn’t it” I demanded “It is in that the concept is the same, but it isn’t in that these phones don’t use the internet.” Hermes expanded. “What’s the emergency anyway?” Hermes wandered over the phone “If I tell you this you have to promise not to tell anyone” I warned, “Scout’s honour, Keeper, don’t worry” Hermes promised. “You were never a boy scout, but I’ll take your word anyway” I rushed.
“Chiron just dropped me something I’ve never seen before,” I continued “How? They’re all just souls, you’ve this done a million times. What’s different about it this time?” Hermes questioned. “That’s the thing,” I sighed. “It doesn’t have a soul, it’s not a soul. It’s just… here and I don’t know why” My worry was definitely on the rise as I realised I would have to tell someone about this. “WhAt?!?” I could hear Hermes’ jaw drop on the other end of the line. “Yeah and somehow this part is the kicker, when I asked her how she got here she said, and I quote, ‘they took me down’ and when I asked what she meant by that she said ‘they took me offline’,” I explained, “I… you- that,” Hermes stumbled.
“Yep” I said “But that means that something digital- lived?” He didn’t sound like he was sure of that, almost more like he was asking me. “I don’t know, I had to call you to figure out what offline even meant” I said, my own irritation felt like it was starting to seep through my skin. “Okay, so a digital thing both lived, died, and then came to your gates'' Hermes summarised, just when I thought it couldn’t be worse, it got worse “If she’s here” I started, but I didn’t want to believe myself.
“Then that means, not only did she live and die, but she believed in this” I said as it sank in, “She’s here, not in the Valley of the Reeds, or Valhalla, and not hell or heaven. She’s here” I thought out loud. Silence rang out over the line as Hermes let the same information sink in. “So this thing- it uh. I mean a human made it? And it sort of… came to life-ish” Hermes seemed to be trying to work through the thought process himself. This wasn’t the way of things, humans weren’t supposed to be able to create life, er, at least not this way, not like the gods did. I looked up at her again, she was just standing rigidly, she had a blank stare on her face. It was kind of disturbing and that’s a lot coming from an Underworld employee. “Uh, yeah? I guess. I just don’t know what to do with her” I said.
“I mean, no soul, not really your problem is it” Hermes offered. “Sort of, I think, but Chiron still brought it to me. So for the time being anyway, yeah, yeah it is my problem” I rambled a bit. “Keeper,” Hermes cut me off, “Call Hades, he’s your boss, it’s his problem” Hermes imparted. “Yeah, but then I have to bother him, and his coffee machine broke this morning, I know because he sent me the paperwork to fill out so he could get a new one” I sighed, “Ooh, maybe wait on it then” He hissed as though the thought of Hades before his coffee had heated the earpiece on his phone and physically burned him.
“Or I could just hide it and pretend I never saw it,” I suggested. Really, I already knew that wasn’t an option, but man can a clay girl dream. “Right and then you’ll feel guilty and turn yourself in to Hades because you feel bad” Hermes sassed me, I sighed for what seemed like the millionth time today “you know me so well. I guess Hades is my next call” I surrendered. “Laters!” Hermes exclaimed and promptly hung up.
I waited with my eyes closed for a few seconds before I finally put down the phone. “Dear gods this one is gonna bite” I muttered to myself as I rubbed my temples. I bit my lip a little before looking back up at her. “Do you have a name?” I asked her. That felt like a stupid question to have to ask, I usually had a soul’s name right here in the paperwork, then again this thing didn’t have a soul and the only paperwork that she came with was a total waste of paper.
“Alice,” She intoned. Great she didn’t even really talk, I mean yeah, she talks, but not in a super helpful way. Sure she answered the question, but that was it, the bare minimum. She kind of made me wanna tear my hair out, but maybe that’s an activity for another day. Alice, her name is Alice, at least I know what name to give Hades when he inevitably asks. I sucked in a deep breath and closed my eyes before even trying to consider what to do next. Maybe if I hold my breath for a really long time then I would pass out, but this would be the dream so actually I’d wake up, see my alarm clock and realise that this was a really vivid dream.
I let out a dramatic sigh and looked back up at Alice, shaking my head slightly as I told her to sit down. Gods, it’s gonna be a looooooong day. I looked at my watch really hoping that my day would be over soon enough that I could just clock out and go to bed. Of course, I had three more hours so the only option really was to suck it up.
I looked over at Alice one last time before hesitantly pulling the phone off of its receiver and beginning to dial Hades…

Golden Eyed Girl (good is... hard to come by)
Summary:
Annabeth Chase takes one look at Hazel Levesque and wants to throw up. Here's this skinny little daughter of Pluto is, looking like a ten year old rather than the thirteen year old she had heard about, and-- She looks nothing like Luke Castellan, nothing, but-- She looks almost like Kronos. And maybe, just maybe, while the Crooked One was swept into the pit by her blade... maybe it found somewhere to HIDE. She is suspicious. And Percy knows what she's thinking, but he's the only one.
After Annabeth flips Percy, and flings herself into his arms, after she walks the city with Reyna, after Leo fires on New Rome (on all the dreams every demigod at Camp had– a safe place, another home, a they-maybe-won’t-die-as-children-anymore ) the seven gather in the Argo’s dining room.
Jason and Piper sit half entwined, and Leo’s next to them, rummaging in his toolbelt with shifty eyes, and Percy’s still resting his chin on her shoulder. She missed him. Ripped herself half in two to get to him. She’d thought that after Luke– Kronos– they would be safe , or, well, as safe as demigods could be. She’d thought that Percy wasn’t going to die at 16 anymore, that she had someone who wouldn’t leave her like everyone always did.
But Hera– she’d stolen Percy. Just like Hades had stolen Thalia, and rage had stolen Luke, and Helen had stolen her father even though they’d made up, she had been alone once more.
Percy was a part of her, and without him– without him, Annabeth had felt like the scared yet fearless, overly proud twelve year old she had been before him. Except without Luke this time.
Luke . Luke and his blue eyes until they were gold, gold and burning into her and Kronos was dead now but his eyes weren’t because they still haunted her sometimes when she closed her eyes.
She hadn’t told Percy that, but he’d known anyway. Probably because he felt the same.
Finally, Frank and Hazel, the two Romans who Percy had already clearly bonded with (he always made friends so easily compared to Annabeth) entered the room. Hazel was looking down as Frank pulled her into the seat.
They started talking, Annabeth leading as usual– already, Jason and Percy had started that stupid Big Three pissing match– (thank the gods Hazel hadn’t involved herself, still looking down– but then, Nico had never been as into the rivalry as Thalia and Percy had. Although, part of that might have been the grief masking every emotion he’d ever goddamn shown).
By the time they finish talking, Annabeth had all but forgotten about Hazel and her lack of eye contact. That is, until, as they leave, Hazel looks up, and her eyes are gold–
All Annabeth can think about is Luke and Kronos, and Beckendorf, Silena, Mark– every single goddamn dead person she watched go up in flames. So as she draws her knife ( Luke’s knife ) and starts to lunge ( hand it to him ) is that Kronos was dead so why does Hazel have His eyes– unless. Unless on the way to The Pit, on the way to Tartarus, what if– She’d already been informed Hazel had previously been dead. So what if– what if–
While Kronos was swept down through the Celestial magic of the Bronze– what if he had found somewhere to hide ? Somewhere to strike and–
What if Hazel was that spirit.
And she has only just gotten Percy back so she lunges , striking to maim or kill because she doesn’t care anymore this nightmare just has to be OVER –
And Frank intercepts her, grabs her arms–
She flips him, shakes him off, and sprints . Percy follows.
They end up in the stables. She starts to cry.
“-Beth. Hey, Beth. What’s wrong?”
“Her eyes ” she manages to croak out, “her eyes , Percy, why are her eyes like–”
Percy nods, and sits down, gesturing for her to follow. “I– I know. I didn’t at first, when my memories were still gone, but… Luke. I know, Wise Girl, I know.”
“But– are you sure? I just– I just got you back, Seaweed Brain– how do– how do you know she’s safe ? How do you know that He’s dead ?”
“We both watched him… him die, Wise Girl. That has to be enough.”
It should have been. Hazel seemed sweet. Looked more like a ten year old than the twelve year old Percy had told her about, but—
One look at those eyes, and Annabeth had wanted to puke. Here was this skinny little daughter of Pluto is, looking like a ten year old rather than the thirteen year old she had heard about, and–
She looks nothing like Luke Castellan, nothing, but--
She looks almost like Kronos. And maybe, just maybe, while the Crooked One was swept into the pit by her blade... maybe it found somewhere to HIDE.
She tells Percy that. He nods, looking sad.
“You know that’s impossible. You said it yourself. He’s in so many pieces, He’s– He’s never coming back. Never going to hurt us again.”
They both know it’s a lie. They both know that every birthday a person isn’t around for, every reunion, every anniversary of a battle or a skrimish, their eyes will skip over the spots that their dead should be. Where children should be. Luke, Silena, Beckendorf, Mark, Abigail, Michael, Lee, Castor–
Where who Pollux should have been was. Who they all should have been. But she picks her head up, leaves the stables holding Percy’s hand, and apologizes to Hazel and Frank.
If she later cries herself to sleep in the stables with Percy, well, that’s no ones business but her own.
She will never stop fearing those golden eyes. Might never be able to look Hazel in the eye.
But she and Percy are alive, and somewhat safe, and for tonight, in the dark, she can pretend.

Percy jackson
Seven days and seven nights
A warning, a storm, and Will’s world gets flipped upside-down. Day 11: Storming
Finally, where i'm meant to be
Percy huffs as Annabeth attacks his hair with a comb. “I don't get why this is such a big deal to you, it looks fine.” “Of course you wouldn’t understand. You’re a boy,” she says matter of factly. As she finishes combing his hair to within an inch of its life, she forces him onto the edge of the tub, looming over him with her arms akimbo. “Alright Seaweed Brain. Because you’re clearly insistent on ruining your natural curls, I’m staging an intervention.” He doesn’t like the glint in her eye. It’s the same look she gets when she’s about to execute a particularly deadly battle strategy. All he can do is nod. Or: Annabeth shows Percy how to take care of his hair. Fluff ensues.
The healing sun
You are Asclepius. You are 9 and just want to help people. Your father is kind, and warm, and you love him dearly. Or, a look at a relationship hindered by loss but persevering through love. Asclepius and Apollo throughout the ages.
Eclipse
According to the prophecy, Will has to go to on a quest to Tartarus. According to Apollo, that isn’t going to happen, even if it means he has to break the Ancient Laws.
demand nothing less (than transformation)
Dad is quiet for a moment, stroking her hair. Then, with a surge of his usual flamboyant excitement: “At what time is your date?” Kayla blinks. She pulls back a little to look at Dad. He’s still a little blurry from the tears, but she feels much calmer now. “He’s picking me up at six. …Why?” Dad’s eyes—cobalt blue—sparkle. Literally. “We’re going to dress you to the nines.” (or: apollo loves his daughter. he also loves fashion. even better is when the two intersect.)
Bad sons
Hades turned to the demigods that were still kneeling. “I need to speak with Will Solace,” he said to the shocked room, in the tone he could have used to say “I came to ask if one of you could lend me a pen.” “Alone,” the god added after a moment, staring right at Nico. Or, Will and Nico go on the stupidest quest ever. And it’s all Apollo’s fault.
Dawn Rises From the East
During the Battle of Manhattan, Michael Yew fell into the East River; his body was never found. Two years later, a homeless kid known only as Ferret has a chance encounter that changes everything he knows.
Yuri on ice
dismantle. repair.
Viktor is standing across the street waving. Despite himself, Yuuri smiles, even as he realizes his shopping will have to wait. He waves back. There’s a man in a white coat behind Viktor. A stranger, except that he’s standing too close. A fan, maybe, or a sleazier member of the paparazzi. He’s raising his hands, and Yuuri opens his mouth to shout at him to not touch Viktor and then— And then there’s the screech of brakes as the car stops, too late. Viktor’s legs are sticking out at odd angles from underneath it. A sheen is spreading across the asphalt beneath him. Like oil. Like blood.
icebreaker
Yuuri's husband is possibly not as oblivious as he seems, because he grins and asks, "Have you never looked up Yuuri?" "There's a porn actress with the same name who went into politics," says Nate, "so she's most of the results, and some stuff about figure skating." "Some stuff about figure skating," Victor says ruefully to Yuuri.
Love Born in the Eye of the Storm
After a snowstorm cancels their return flight and all the hotels are overbooked, Yuuri decides to detour home to wait it out. He offers to let other stranded skaters stay at Yuu-topia, he just didn't know one of them was Victor Nikiforov.
Glory is two steps away
Yuri Plisetsky and Yuuri Katsuki are about as different as cats and dogs, which is to say they have no reason of ever even being acquaintances. Through a stroke of luck, as well as a couple dozen cat pictures, a tight friendship blossoms instead. On their own each skater stands out just fine, but together they shine, pushing each other past previous limits and onto the golden road of victory. Of course, there is still the living legend to worry about, but he's currently too besotted to lace up his skates, so... Or: The Bathroom Scene™, but it goes a little differently. Just enough to that Yuri has a new friend and Victor stays in Russia, but manages to pine all the same.
It ain't much, it's only everything
Yuuri read the headline - “Top Skater and Model Viktor Nikiforov Finds Soulmate!” Oh.
Avatar the last Airbender
Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores
The Water Tribe has kept the secrets of the sea-walkers, a gift of transformation that grants those blessed a tail and the ability to breathe underwater, away from the eyes of the rest of the world forever, and this secrecy has only become more important in light of the seemingly unending war and conquest of the Fire Nation. Sokka, as the last warrior and sea-walker in his village, knows this more than most. So when he finds himself accidentally pulled onto a Fire Nation ship, he chooses to stay aboard as their would-be "captive" rather than reveal the Water Tribe's secrets. But what he couldn't have imagined was that while aboard this ship, he'd form an unlikely bond with the exiled prince of the Fire Nation. This tenuous friendship grows into something considerably stronger the longer this pair navigates the biases created by their upbringings, the constant clash of their two worlds, and their feelings for each other. But there are still secrets and conflicts that can't be erased, and it's up to each of them to decide if they'll choose the worlds they're used to or fight for a new world where they can be together.
Golden hour

Persistence hunting
"You need food, Rocket. Worse than me. A hell of a lot worse than me, and I'm worried about you. We have water, neither of us are hurt, but both of us will die eventually if we don't eat. And I can hunt down one of those," he said, pointing off into the distance at a four-legged ungulate of some kind, grazing on the tough grass. "Neither of us have any weapons, genius. You're gonna just run up to it and crack it on the head with a rock?" "No," Peter said. "I'm gonna run it down and slit its throat."

PJO characters & their mental state!
grover. yes i included this mf stop the grover erasure. dude is quite chill, but also has put a lot of expectations on himself, including taking the blame for thalia -> tree transformation and Sally’s abduction. also the whole pizazz with the Council of- i forget the name but all them dumb satyr dudes would have caused him to have imposter syndrome. he has anxiety, paranoid 24/7, OH and OCD.
jason. mans went through some stuff being raises by wolves, but i think because that is literally all he knew when he grew up, he wouldn’t have been affected by it much until camp jupiter, where he would have to adjust aswell as rising up to being praetor with big responsibilities and expectations. not to mention! he was abducted and had memory wiped. i reckon hes a bit of a perfectionist, has anxiety but can mask it pretty well. idk about what types of actual illnesses he has
fank, i mean, i feel like apart from his life threatening stick, and his weird ass upbringing/background, dude didn’t have a lot going for him mental wise. but he also 100% has paranoia, thanatophobia (intense fear of dying), umm and occasional anxiety. plus inferiority complex
piper. she lived with the fact that she was going do betray her best friend and bf in exchange for her dads life, finds out her relationship w Jason isn’t even valid, and watches her dad go insane. goes on a world saving quest and watches her first love die in front of her, all while trying to figure out her sexuality
hazel. she grew up as the weird kid, AND was a woc in 19… 40s? which would not have helped her situation. powers that she knew got people killed or badly hurt, and didn’t know how to control it or stop it. then homegirl is stripped from her only home and the only boy that looked out for her (and she loved!!! 😕) to some fuckn place in who knows where. cut to the chase she had to sacrifice herself to save the world for some weird earth god lady at 13. THEN REVIVED? into the modern world and has to adjust as a legionnaire and save the world. at thirteen
percy. ABUSIVE FATHER, MOTHER ABDUCTED AT RIPE AGE OF 12. two world saving prophecies! went through tartarus, and also has mad expectations (from others, but actually mostly from himself). dude has hella PTSD. its triggered by things like alcohol (duh), smell of monsters, and occasionally blood, depending on the situation. also fear dying alone.
reyna my fav girl never caught a break since day 1 fr. after literally everything she had to go through to even arrive at Camp Jupiter (fighting for her life against pirates, parting ways with her sister, her only family!, and being dumped with a life altering prophecy from Aphrodite) shes bumped up to the highest role possible, expecting to carry the legion with no support, no break, for like 9 years or so. the one person she even remotely cared for was abducted, comes back with a gf, and leaves again, leaving her alone to carry the legion and watch so many of her soldiers fall in battle. SHES TIRED AND BURNT OUT AF
annabeth. oh boy, girl runs away so so young from her bitch ass dad who cares nothing less of her, learns to fight for her life on the street with two others like her. gets hit with a prophecy that someone will come to camp to save her and be her lifelong love or something like that (correct my rust brain) and finds out this person is part of the great prophecy claiming he must save the world or will die. goes on TWO world saving quests, in which she protects percy by getting stabbed instead of him, watches her old crush/idol idk betray her then die, face her greatest fear as a daughter of Athena alone, and fall into Tartarus. burnt out gifted kid. probably has OCD, def has arachnophobia, basophobia (fear of falling), and insane PTSD!
leo. i feel like this is overlooked so much, but at like 5, mans watched his mum die in a fire that he accidentally started, was abandoned by the rest of his family, never had a home, literally running between foster homes or on the street (FOR LIKE 9 YEARS) and had to live with his own uncontrollable powers that caused the death of his mum. trauma and depression going crazy for this fella. imposter syndrome. fear of dying alone. autistic
nico. enough said

Crimson Eclipse (Hell Trip #1)
This is going to be out of order because I feel like it. Also sets up the plot and loose threads. Here we go!

Part 15 | Hell Trip #2
—————————————————————
The room went quiet before the enormous wolf ran towards the queen, past any guards or witches in his way, and was met with a soft hug. He had towered over the queen, but it didn’t matter. He was back in her arms and he would never leave her again. The guards tried to pry Crimson away, but the queen quickly stopped her guards.
“My sweet little Antonio.” His tail couldn’t stop wagging as he began to break down crying. It had been eons since their separation. He melted in her arms as she began to pet her son. No words were exchanged after that as the two stayed hugging by the throne as if they were never separated. Time paused just for them as the guards watched. The hug only grew once Lucifer came into the room, picking the two up. The large bombastic man had picked the mother and son duo up before spinning them around in a little circle. It was sweet and it was all Luna wanted for Crimson.
All the nightmares and conflict for this moment; it didn’t matter that she was a felon in the kingdom of hell, she had done it for him. It was always for Crimson; he deserved this moment and Luna would do it again. Crimson broke off the hug to go pick up Luna. She softly smiled as she had never seen him this happy before, but she knew she had some punishment for her actions. But she wasn’t going to ruin his moment. Crimson ran off to meet his uncle’s partners, and the queen took Luna into a separate room.
“Miss Eclipse. You should be hanged for your actions or in the depths of Tartarus.” The queen looked over at the small child before grabbing something off a shelf in her room. Her room was filled with plants and numerous bookshelves, but it didn’t matter to Luna. She wouldn’t be around much longer in this room. “But… you brought back my son and clearly care to break the rules for him. So you will be pardoned this time.” Pardoned? Luna took a sigh of relief, thinking that Crimson would be left alone with Sunny and Viktor before she was given a picture of Lilith and a small child. It was Crimson, she could tell through his smile. He didn’t look different from her and he looked happy. But inside Luna felt a different feeling; sure she should have been happy for Crimson but she felt more lonely and the queen quickly caught onto this. “You aren’t as happy as someone who just got their life saved.”
“I am happy just. It reminds me of my parents before they left me.” The queen walked closer to the child and escorted her out of the room and towards Crimson and Lucifer who were talking with guards.
“You cannot control the people who leave you, but you will always have people that will want to stay around. Even if your family leaves you, you will grow another one and I sensed you have. You done things many children would never do for someone you haven’t known for a long time.”
“And I would do it again.”
“That only shows me you care for him, like I had done all those years ago. You saw what had happened, and you took the curse just to learn more to help him. I may not know your old family, but I know you have people who care for you more than they did. And a spot here will always be welcomed for any family of my son.”
“Even though I killed one of you guards?”
“He had it coming either way.” Luna let out a nervous chuckle as the queen pat her on her back. “Besides, you have a far bigger destiny than you or I can dream of. But that is a fate I can not tell you about but only set you down on.”
“Destiny?”
“More or less, all it takes is a small ripple to cause a violent storm and only one small act to change a person.” The queen set Luna off to enjoy her time with the prince and king. She knew what Luna had to do, and she knew Luna was the right one she had chosen. After all, it was like meeting the small child left in that town by Viktor all those years ago. Luna would figure it out of course. She and Moony weren’t that different and for good reason. But that was for another day. Luna should enjoy herself now and later find out what she had to do. The rebellion was only slowly coming and Luna would need to be ready. Lilith had failed to prepare her when she was first in the town, but this rebirth wouldn't be in vain.

Chapter - 10(Part 1)
(Percy's POV)
Friday afternoon, I was sitting with Nora at the lake, resting from a near- death experience on the climbing wall. She had scaled it in ten seconds flat, but the lava had almost gotten me. My shirt had holes in it. The hairs had been singed off my forearms.
We were laughing about the sword fighting incident that had happened the previous day, until I got up the nerve to ask Nora how Grover's conversation had gone with Mr. D.
"Fine," she said. "Just great."
"So his career’s still on track?"
"Chiron told you about a searcher’s license?"
"Well…no." I didn't know what a searcher’s license was, but it didn’t seem like the time to ask. "He just said he had big plans...& that he needs credit for completing a keeper’s assignment. So did he get it?"
Nora looked at the naiads. "Mr. D suspended judgment. He said he didn't fail or succeed with you yet, so your fates are still tied together. If you got a quest & he went along to protect you, & you both came back alive, then he’d consider the job done."
My spirits lifted. "Well, that’s not so bad, right?"
"Grover said & I quote 'He might as well have transferred me to stable-cleaning duty'." We laughed.
We talked about canoeing & swordplay for a while, then debated the pros & cons of the different gods. Finally, I asked her about the four empty cabins.
"Number eight, belongs to Artemis," she said. "She vowed to be a maiden forever. So, no kids. The cabin is, kind of, honorary. If she didn’t have one, she’d be mad."
"Yeah, okay. But the other three, the ones at the end. Are those the Big Three?"
Nora tensed. We were close to a touchy subject. "No. One of them, number two, is Hera’s," she said. "That’s another honorary thing. She’s the goddess of marriage, so of course she wouldn’t go around having affairs with mortals. That’s her husband’s job. When we say the Big Three, we mean the three powerful brothers, the sons of Kronos."
"Zeus, Poseidon, Hades."
"Right. After the great battle with the Titans, they took over the world from their dad and drew lots to decide who got what."
"Zeus got the sky," I remembered. “Poseidon the sea, Hades the Underworld."
"Uh-huh."
"But Hades doesn’t have a cabin here."
"No. He doesn’t have a throne on Olympus, either. If he did have a cabin here…" Nora shuddered. "Well, it won’t be pleasant. Let’s leave it at that."
"But Zeus & Poseidon-had like, a million kids in the myths. Why is Poseidon's cabin empty? & why do you stay alone in the Zeus cabin?"
"Sixty years ago, after World War II, the Big Three agreed they wouldn’t sire more heroes. Their children were too powerful. They were affecting the course of human events, causing carnage. World War II, you know, was basically a fight between the sons of Zeus & Poseidon, & the sons of Hades. The winning side, Zeus & Poseidon, made Hades swear an oath with them: no more affairs with mortal women. They all swore on the River Styx."
I said, "That’s the most serious oath you can make." Nora nodded. "And the brothers kept their word-no kids?"
Her face darkened. "Seventeen years ago, Zeus fell off the wagon. There was this TV starlet with a big fluffy eighties hairdo-he couldn’t help himself. When their child was born, a little girl named Thalia...well, the River Styx is serious about promises. Zeus got off easy because he’s immortal, but he caused a terrible fate on his daughter."
"But that's not fair. It wasn’t her fault."
Nora hesitated. "Percy, children of the Big Three are more powerful than other half-bloods. They have a strong scent that attracts monsters. When Hades found out, he wasn’t happy about Zeus breaking his oath. He let the worst monsters out of Tartarus to kill Thalia. A satyr was her keeper when she was twelve. He had to escort her here with a couple of other half-bloods she befriended. They almost made it to the top of that hill."
She pointed across the valley, to the pine tree where I’d fought the minotaur.
"All three Kindly Ones were after them & a horde of hellhounds. They were about to be overrun when Thalia told her satyr to take the other two half- bloods to safety while she held off the monsters. The satyr didn’t want to leave her, but he couldn’t change her mind, & he had to protect the others. Thalia made her final stand alone, on that hill. As she died, Zeus turned her into that pine tree. Her spirit still helps protect the valley's borders. That’s why the hill is called Half-Blood Hill." Nora had tears in her eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"Thalia was my older sister. I came to camp a month later only to find out she's dead."
"So how come Hades didn't notice you yet?"
"Well...I don't really know. I was born 3 years after she was. My twin brother - Jason, disappeared when we were four. I was the only one left. I stayed with my mom for a while. But she would blame me & say that Thalia & Jason were gone because of me."
"Sometimes," she continued, "I feel like it really was my fault. It would've been better if I was taken instead of Jason." She began crying.
"Hey, shh, it's okay. Don't blame yourself." I say wrapping her in a hug. I'd never seen anyone so broken & vulnerable before. Nora was the kind of person who always put a smile on her face even if her life was falling apart.
I stared at the pine tree & wondered, if I’d acted differently, could I save my mother?
