Unpopular opinion: people don't get to choose what kind of family they're born into, and this includes people whose families have more wealth. But people do choose whether or not to be assholes to those people, based on stereotypes and presumptions (about ego, attitude, etc) that may or may not actually be true for that person. And in those cases, the person with the wealth isn't the issue.
I know someone who got an inheritance and every time we talked about it, they started crying. They felt so guilty because they didn't "deserve the money" and they knew how hard it is for someone to get that amount, and they just wanted their parents back.
Don't be an asshole to someone based on the circumstances of their birth, period.

The way some of yall mischaracterize Ratio as being stoic in chill when in reality he is 24/7 resisting the urge to rip everyone around him a new one is crazy to me like. He cares so much, so much. It’s unhealthy, he loses the idgaf war every time because Ratio is the least nonchalant person ever like
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was this close to breaking character and throttling Sunday like you cannot tell me he wasn’t planning a murder in this scene. Ratio straight up calls Sunday a crazy bitch but everyone brushed it aside 😭
Honestly his entire conversation with Screwllum is just him tweaking, watch it on YouTube the VAs performance is amazing, you can here just how much He Cares
Tumblr media
Genuinely, Aventurine is way better at concealing his true feelings that Ratio. Ratio may be acting for the sake of the plan but the way he truly feels about anything he’s doing always seeps through, it’s why he apologizes to Aventurine in 2.0 in their staged argument scene. It’s why he is as mean to Sunday as he can be. It’s why him pretending that he “hates” Aventurine makes him act so silly. Ratio can’t fully commit to the bit, he can’t force himself to not care or to be someone he isn’t, because fundamentally Ratio CARES and that is something he is incapable of hiding, alabaster bust or not.
The problem is that him expressing his care is often done in a rude and/or blunt manner which people tend to interpret as stoicism or apathy when it’s anything but. Ratio’s vial that he gives to Aventurine is short, sweet and gets straight to the point, because that’s the easiest way for Ratio to express his emotions, even if it’s often detrimental for him and anyone else around him. However Aventurine understands him quite well, and knows that although brief, Ratio telling him to “stay alive, survive this and keep on living” is how he truly feels towards Aventurine, and that’s enough to keep him going.
Underneath Ratios carefully crafted marble facade is a man who cares so much and is so bad at expressing it and I wish the community in general, especially Aventio shippers would acknowledge that more. Ratios true moments of sincerity are brief, but they are anything but stoic. Let the man be soft, it’s in character.

The hug!!
This one was once again commissioned by our dear @i-am-as-normal-as-you-are and we actually talked about this scene quite a lot. Charles is still going through it, and he doesn't even feel like he should be getting the hugs he needs. Poor boy.

The tragic idea that the Betrayers loved their siblings so much that it ended up being what drove them apart. They didn't want to settle for anything that could hurt their family, and mortals were doing so, either directly (a mortal usurping one of them) or indirectly (emotionally hurting them during the Schism by just. dying so much). To the Betrayers, it wasn't worth it. They wanted their beloved family to leave and go somewhere that wouldn’t hurt them.
To them, it's the primes who are the betrayers. The primes were motivated by more than just love for their immediate family - they loved their creation, too, and more than that, felt a responsibility for it. They would rather fight their own siblings than leave it.
We saw all the gods love and protect each other during the opening of Downfall. The Betrayers were not uniquely evil from the start. They wanted to save themselves and their family from hardship and suffering, even if it meant leaving their creation, their game, and in response their siblings locked them away. Not only do they not love mortals, they view mortals as this corruptive force that somehow turned their family against them. Do they think that, if they succeed in exterminating them, the Primes will be freed from their influence? Maybe - perhaps some of them are waiting to forgive and embrace their siblings, but far from all, I suspect. Asmodeus certainly expressed during Calamity that he didn’t so much want to be reunited with his siblings as he wanted to punish them. He was betrayed by the ones he loved most for the sake of a game! Maybe togetherness and forgiveness was once an obtainable goal, but not anymore. Even if the Betrayers succeeded in ending Exandria, the Primes would never forgive them, and they would never forgive the primes. Their family can never be whole again because of, as they see it, the toxic influence of mortals. So they hate mortals for this influence, but more than that, they hate their siblings for being so weak as to fall for it.

you wonder why your cunt is often soaked with his cum when you wake up in the mornings—parts of it already leaked out, smeared and sticky between the inner of your thighs. you would know if your husband satoru fucked you in your sleep, you would’ve felt it, he is that big. but the truth is, as you soon find out, that he has a secret little thing, a morning ritual if you will, regarding that achy hardness in his boxers upon waking up he likes to involve you in, bc otherwise the relief is not that sweet. so, he strokes himself when you sleep still, his head slightly dipped in your cunt—holding back, but barely, from thrusting deep inside you—as he carefully works the load in his balls out, and inside you….why would he waste it after all when you’re right there beside him

i've already made posts about this so many times but every time the raven queen's ascension gets brought up and its talked about like she did it for immortality or purely for power it makes me go a little insane because the story of her being a follower of the god of death before her and taking his place specifically because he didn't respect death is one of the best things about her lore in my opinion. that one of the biggest differences between her and those who failed attempts at ascension is that she did because of faith and not to spite it.

The King's last gift
Danny was tired, tired of being responsible for protecting the world. At first it was just Amity but the ghosts began to explore more and the halfa was exhausted. He was the only hero available and it was taking its toll.
He knew he couldn't go on like this, let alone with his coronation around the corner but he didn't know what else to do. He knew he couldn't interfere with the world after the crown was on his head. The world would fear him (maybe even more than now) and protecting them with so much power in hand could do more harm than good, but if he didn't protect them, who would?
His core ached at the thought of all those people begging for a hero who wouldn't come, so Danny took desperate measures, and cheated a little.
He visited Desiree; she watched him with a raised eyebrow, curious. And Danny did what he forbade long ago, he wished. He wished for the future and for humanity itself, he uttered the words he had wanted to say ever since he knew he would not be able to visit earth for a long time.
"I wish for the world to be safe even when I no longer live in it, I wish for there to be someone who can protect it, even if it's just a human."
Desiree blinked in surprise not expecting the King who had "forbidden" her to do such a thing. She smiled and nodded. Her power grew exponentially but neither she nor Danny said anything about it. The halfa would not undo that wish after all.
In New Jersey, Thomas and Martha Wayne were celebrating the birth of their son. Neither of them noticed the spark of magic entering the baby, nor the boy's unusually blue eyes. Bruce Wayne, the Ghost King's latest gift to mankind, had been born.
And years later, when the Justice League was formed and everyone was talking to each other, John Constantine looked at the dark knight curiously, wondering if he was aware that he was death's favorite.

“Please don’t doubt your goodness. Whenever you fear yourself becoming an echo of another’s sins, or undermine your own efforts to help others by doubting if you’re motivated by the right reasons, or be weighed down by thoughts and fantasies that flutter away without ever leaving your mind. There are many reasons to pause, and consider the wisdom of what the virtuous path is, but diminishing your righteous heart is never one of them.

genuinely baffled by how some people see homura as evil. how on earth do you watch rebellion and come to that conclusion
#not rb#pmmm#the entire time I was binging madoka with a friend I was. waiting for her to do something really fucked up#that would justify all the discourse I've seen/heard about#even my friend was like “oh just you wait”#plot twist: the self-declared demon is just a mentally ill teenager! many such cases#homura has such an. obviously warped view of herself no wonder she fucking acts like that#how the fuck does anyone take what she says at face value???????#I would even go as far as to say that she's not even a particularly strong judas parallel#her betrayal of madoka is selfish‚ but it's born out of a need to protect her.#it's an extension of what she was trying to achieve in the original series#judas betrays jesus out of envy. out of obsessive hatred. not‚ notably‚ out of any concern for his wellbeing/happiness#even the more charitable interpretations of judas depict the betrayal as something he understands to be a pointlessly cruel act.#he gains nothing/very little from it. often‚ he only harms himself#homura absolutely has something to gain from betraying madoka‚ but the thing she gains IS MADOKA#it's unhealthy! it's twisted! but it's love!!!! it's badly coping with grief!!!!!!!!!!#it's selfishness born out of selflessness!!!!!!!!!!#homura's situation is so uniquely fucked to begin with that I can't really understand how anyone can see her acting against it as “evil”#the law of cycles doesn't really “fix” a lot. it's better than the original status quo#but I can't blame homura for wanting to sever madoka from her role and trapping her in mundanity#because she's not wrong!!!!!!!!! madoka SHOULD be a regular teenage girl living her life#contract or not#idk. homura better do something really fucked up in walpurgisnacht rising if she wants me to take her demon shtick seriously. anyways‚

Just saw the post about stan raising shermie in selfish shellfish and the addition of protective shermie and it made me think:
By the time the two are reunited with the other Pines shermie is likely around the age to have started school or close to. What about that thing kids do when they learn something new, be it a new fact or rule, they have to share and make sure everyone knows. I imagine that stan managed to get a motel for them at least a couple of times. You know what motels have? Public access tv -> little kid shows that teach little lessons and morals.
Little Shermie watching an episode of something on people pleasing and how that's not always a good thing. Looks at stan and the others goes "huh..." Shermie having a tantrum at these adults and stranger who looks like his big brother for how they're treating Stan. And shouting Sesame street like teaching at them. About how stan never puts himself first and always takes care of him.
I just had to share the mental image of a toddler quoting something like elmo and having a better understanding in that kid logic way
Selfish Shellfish AU - Masterpost

Oh. That would be the CUTEST!
And what is Stan supposed to do against this? Argue back? He tries, but the toddler refuses to listen to reason.
“Nuh uh, Wrong wrong wrong! Elmo said so!”
“Look, Shermie. That’s only true for good little kids like you. I’m all grown up and you’re my responsibility so I have to think about you first, got it?”
“NO! Wrong!” Shermie throws his toast at Stan and refuses to eat unless Stan eats first.
If Stan wasn’t so frustrated with this whole development, he’d be proud of Shermies manipulation tactics.
Stan tries to ban Sesame Street after that but Shermie cries so much that he has to compromise. Shermie is only allowed to watch it together with Stan.
And so they keep watching it all cuddled up under a blanket. And maybe there is a special episode dealing with child abuse/neglect in very simple terms and Stan just starts crying. It's hitting too close to home.
The stupid muppets tell him that it’s not his fault and that he has to reach out to someone he trusts even if it's scary.
Stan hugs Shermie tightly from behind, who is too enraptured with the show to notice his quiet sob.
“Hey Sherm, did you know we have another brother?”

thinking about wasted potential of post-yj98 greta today. like could u imagine if they delved into how she adjusted to being alive again? if they showed the peeling back of some of the naïveté she had as secret, how jarring it is for her to suddenly be mortal again? that sound is too loud, she gets irritable. that texture was unexpected, she bursts into tears. she only takes showers, never baths. her friends have to constantly remind her to consider other people’s emotions because she’s so overwhelmed by her own. what about the first time she cuts herself on a piece of paper? or when she realizes her clothes don’t fit as well, that she’s getting older? how does her first birthday after being dead make her feel? we could’ve had it all
