Yes the robojesters are very silly and I have to say I'm seeing the FNAF fandom leaning on the head canon that they may have not originally been child-care robots, but on-stage actors, and we're just given child-care programming later which makes me 👀 I love them being doting kiddo caretakers but also the idea of a dedicated thespian being throwing into a pile of wailing children and told to figure it out is absolutely hilarious to me.

Also yes!! I love me some Sanders Sides!! Love my boys. No one is surprised but Patton's bit with the tinier and tinier boxes absolutely was my favorite part. My parents did that when I was like ten and it started off with this GIANT box and I think there were at least six I had to go through before I found a plush of Snoopy and tickets to go to Camp Snoopy at Knott's Farm (forever salty that it was bought by Nickelodeon). I still have that plushy somewhere in my room 💜 and entire book of pressed pennies from Camp Snoopy.

Anyway I actually genuinely enjoyed the new Asides! I miss so much the original format of videos that were one-off and shorter, the conflict being self-contained and generally light hearted. And the interaction between Logan and Virgil was so adorable 💜

Tell me about moths 👀 I love moths and butterflies and BEES😍 (I'm lame, my favorites are the Lunar moth and the Rosey Maple moth. My fairy-sona's outfit is themed to a crossover of the two, though it was more lunar moth like when I first put it together. It's evolved a lot over the years.) Spiders and I have a love-hate relationship rn; the fuzzy ones make me want to cry (pos) and the spindly ones make me want to cry (neg). There's a colony of tiny spindly ladies living in my basement bathroom that I don't know how they got there and I don't know how they keep reproducing because there are no bugs down there.

"rinnie," haerin hums, eyes closing before yawning and snuggling in further your embrace as you pull up the blanket to cover areas that left haerin shivering. "would you still love me as a worm?"

she sighs and nods, you were back to spilling your nonsense again and no matter how tired she is, she can't help but agree and chase the warmth that you emit. "really? even if i was an icky dirty insect?"

she nods against you, eyes closing as your hushed voice coaxes her to sleep. "what about if i was an alien that doesn't look like myself anymore? like i'm green and have three fingers. would you still love me?"

"yes," she whispers, "i'd love you no matter what you turn into, because you're y/n." you flush and melt into her, hiding your face in her hair as she continues. "my y/n."

"please stop." she chuckles, "you started it." you stayed quiet, body heat through the roof and into the moon, disregarding the fact that it was winter season and heavily snowing outside. "why are you so hot?"

"w-what?" you clutched her tighter, turning into a tomato and almost combusting there and then. "your body heat, i mean." she stifles a laugh as you breathe out, "i like it. my human heater."

you stayed quiet, trying to collect your thoughts bit by bit and piece it together like a puzzle, and haerin felt her sleepiness running away from her. "y/n."

you turn to her, leaving the comfort of her hair against your skin, hand that was grasping her jacket releasing. "keep talking." you nod and pull the blanket further up the two of you, flicking your tongue to meet your lips before continuing.

"rinnie, you're tired, aren't you?" she nods, and she thinks, dreamland is not that far away from her reach. "of course you'd be, after all, you've been running through my mind the whole day." she smiles and snuggles further in your embrace, rubbing her cheek on your sweater.

"you like my sweater?" she nods again, your voice lullabying her so so close to sleep. "it's made of 100% girlfriend material." you chuckle, and that was enough for haerin to fall off the edge and tumble into dreamland.

you were well aware, and continued to spew nonsense. you knew how much she liked you to continue, swearing she hears you even in her sleep. that's how much she dedicates her time for you, that she hopes to see you in her dreams, hear you in her dreams, hold you in her dreams.

you leave a lingering kiss on top of her head as you close your eyes, whispers turning into stardust as you close your eyes, wanting nothing more to stay in this moment and never leave. your eyes glistened when you opened them, and tears started to fall. your heart felt like it was about to burst and you fell into silent sobs. i'm sorry, rinnie. please, let go.

haerin woke up the next morning, your side of the bed cold and empty as it's always been for a few months now. her sobs racked her back, shaking and shivering as she holds the same sweater you wore yesterday night when you lulled her to sleep, the material starting to soak at the hands of her tears.

mrigashira is associated with shape shifting, as Brahma's daughter assumed the form of a deer. angels are divine beings who can assume different forms and travel to different worlds.

punarvasu and swati are both connected to the universe and creation itself. it shouldn't be surprising that these natives are drawn to angel imagery.

purvaphalguni and uttaraphalguni nakshatras are both symbolised by the marital bed, union and consummation of love/marital bliss. again coming back to conception and creation. it seems to me that wherever there is creation, there are angels protecting it.

pisces rashi (pbp, ubp and revati) is the point of dissolution. its the final rashi and here, all that's been learned through all the other rashis is contained, it reaches its absolute point. its the height of moksha. spiritual liberation is the aim and again, it makes sense as to why natives of this rashi of completion and surrendering would be drawn to heavenly and angelic imagery.

Tommy and a few of his friends - Tubbo, Becky, and Jack - had just come back from a road trip to Stonehenge, something you'd had a little fixation on since the beginning of time. So, when he came back and told you all about it, you instantly went on a rant about it.

He loved the fact you could talk for ages about things you loved, and luckily, he was drained of his social battery and wanted to hear you talk him to a point of relaxation. He sprawls out on the couch, resting his head in your lap, his hoodie used as his source of warmth. You run your fingers through his blonde hair as you rant on and on, entertaining him as he feels a tingling sensation run through his head and spine.

"And the coolest part is like, how did they get there? No human, especially so long ago and with the lack of technology, could've moved those giant rocks like that! I really think it's aliens, because one, who else could've done it, and two, we aren't alone out here! I hate how everyone's convinced that we're the only humanoid species, other than monkies, I guess, out in the universe. This galaxy is like billions of miles of open space, and there's like a trillion planets and microplanets and moons!"

He lightly smiles, comforted and amused by your passion to try and figure out how Stonehenge came to be. You take a deep breathe before you continue, having run out of air in your lungs as you spoke.

"And like, I know they're preserved and stuff, but how the fuck where they able to stand like that on their own for thousands, maybe even millions of years? You'd think a bad thunderstorm would fuck that up, right?"

He nods, burying his face into your stomach area, getting comfortable. You dim the lamp next to you, letting him close his eyes.

"It's just so trippy, like pyramids were a hundred percent humans, these fucking mile high stone cones, but Stonehenge? No, that's fucking aliens."

You look back down, seeing his chest lightly drifting up and down as he breathes. He's now drifted to sleep, his arms lazily draped around your waist.

You lightly smile, seeing he's been calmed by your enthusiastic words as per usual, helping him rest after a long, exciting day.

Gem always loved the moon. If she happened to stay up late, working on some kind of project, she tried to take the time to just look at the moon. This is what a moon was supposed to look and feel like- no gravity issues, not getting bigger, just quietly vibing in the sky.

One night she was helping lug some shulker boxes around with Pearl. As per usual, she stopped briefly to smile up at the dark sky and the bright moon.

“Oh, isn’t it so pretty Pearl?”

“Gem why did you stop?” Pearl came back around a corner, glancing up. “What is?”

“Why, the moon, of course!” Gem replied, jokingly scandalized. “I mean, shouldn’t you love the moon, since you’re named after it?”

“Not really.” Pearl pointed to where the boxes needed to go. “I mean, it’s just a moon. I’m the better moon anyway. The pearlescent type.”

“Gee, I didn’t think you’d have beef with the moon.” Gem said curiously. “I kinda thought you were like related to the moon or something. Oh wait, I know, it’s because you’re an alien!” She giggled.

“Gem, I’m not an alien!” Pearl was not laughing, and in fact Gem could see her flip from her sword to her axe and back again in agitation. “Stop saying that! I’m not kidding.”

“Pearl…” Gem reached for her, but Pearl stormed off before she could say anything else.

Upset, Gem flew over to Impulse’s place. She literally flew into him as he was coming outside onto the bridge.

“Impulse, Pearl just yelled at me.” Gem couldn’t decide if she felt upset or confused. Probably both.

“Oh Gem, I’m sorry.” Impulse looked sad and gave her a hug. “Pearl’s been acting super weird recently. She yelled at me too the other day for talking about the moon from last season.”

“She stormed off because I joked that she was an alien!” Gem sat down on the edge of the bridge. “I mean, if it upsets her, I should stop joking about it, and I will. But she’s also not acting like herself. It’s… does Pearl not seem like the Pearl you remember from Boatem?”

Impulse sat down beside her. “No, yeah, literally, this isn’t my Pearly. I spent all of Boatem and falling through the Boatem hole with her. She loved the moon! She was the only one chill with it, kept insisting it was her cousin coming to visit!”

“She definitely was considering threatening me with something sharp, and not in a fun way.” Gem said, frowning. “It just doesn’t make any sense. I’ve known her even longer then you have, and she’s never been like this.”

“Impulse! Gem! Hello, hello, hello!” A cheery voice interrupted their depressing conversation, and they turned around to see Zedaph clip-clopping up the stairs towards them. He smiled at them, and despite it all, seeing the goofy redstoner made them smile too. “Impulse! Just the dwarf I was looking for, because I came specifically to your house! And Gem, I’m sure your brain would be useful in this as well!”

“What’s up, Zed?” Impulse got to his feet and slapped Zedaph on the back amicably.

“Well, it’s about the moon.” Gem and Impulse froze. Zedaph, obliviously looking at his notes, continued after a long silence. “Sorry, I was reading my notes. Yeah, the moon is acting weird.”

“What do you mean by weird, Zed?” Gem asked cautiously. She could feel a low panic simmering through her body.

Zed looked up and laughed. “Oh my, you two look like you’ve seen a ghost! No, no, not like whatever happened last season- I wasn’t paying attention, I don’t remember that- this is different. The moon patterns are behaving super weirdly.”

“Okay, let me take a look.” Impulse said after several calming breaths. He took the papers in Zed’s hand.

“I’ve been marking the position of the moon since the season started- been thinking of some kind of Zedvancement to do with that big sky orb square thingie. But it’s been all over the sky, slowly. Can’t make heads or tails of it.” Zed remarked over Impulse’s shoulder.

“Huh…” Impulse was tracing the moon’s path over time with his finger. “Gem, do you notice anything familiar about these patterns?”

Gem watched Impulse’s finger trace, and then gasped. “It’s letters! H-E-L-P. Help! It’s help.” A chill went through her suddenly, and she looked across the bridge to see Pearl watching the gathered group from on top of her mountain.

“Help?” Impulse murmured, brain clearly whirring. Zed looking at it too, thoughtfully chewing on Impulse’s sleeve.

“Hey Impulse?” Gem asked cautiously.

“Yeah?”

“Do you remember how we were just talking about how strangely Pearl was acting?”

“Yeah…” Impulse looked up from the document, now studying Gem. “Why?”

“What if… hey Impulse, what if that’s not our Pearl?” Gem had her eye on Pearl on the hill.

“Help…” Impulse murmured. “Gem, if you think that’s not Pearl, then could she be…” He looked up at the sky, at the moon that was just starting to rise.

“Oh my god Pearl’s trapped in the moon!” Gem gasped.

“Pearl is the moon. She said help, oh my god that makes so much sense!” Impulse clutched the papers to his chest.

“Guys?” Zed spit out Impulse’s sleeve. “You do realize how ridiculous you both sound, right? Like, I’m me, Zedaph, and I’m saying this is too much. There is no way a person can be the literal moon!”

“Maybe not…” Impulse muttered. Gem shivered, watching Impulse trace the same word over and over again.

HELP

Lots of new guys, lots of test designs! i'll give info on them, starting from up left to bottom right.

Pulasan! He's a drain fly, but he calls himself a 'were drain fly', despite him looking and acting the same way regardless of full moon or not. He lives in the Spooky level's forest, full of dead trees and with an ever present moon. Pulasan just loves to act feral and violent, and is not shy about clawing or biting people. As a result most people avoid him, and that actually makes him sad! He won't under any circumstances drop the 'were' act, but he IS lonesome and wishes someone could understand him. Also, Pulasan has the ability to create wolf spirits, but he seems to no real concept of what a wolf is, and makes them act like bugs (climb on trees for example) when they're not used to attack someone.

Second might be familiar to some, it's Lollipop Climber. He's a horse leech. I'm much more satisfied with his design now. He's a pompous vampire that sticks to all the 'classic' and strange vampire habits, like having to be invited and not being able to touch silver. He's constantly fighting with Bloodlime, Lollipop truly hates him because of the former's taste in music- Lollipop thinks vampires should only create or listen to classic orchestral! In any case, Bloodlime flexes with his big castle while Lollipop wallows in misery in his home, a pile of mud in a dirty pond.

Third one is Jambul, he's a black crazy ant (actual name of the ant). He's actually a very good scientist, if not the best in the Fruitbugs world- however his visual disability and crossed eyes make people not take him seriously. He studies storms, black holes and potatoes- the latter because he wants to create a new energy source. He's a kind person if you get to know him, but Jambul's very focused on his work, to the point he doesn't always sleep. Despite his huge hands and fingers, he's fairly dexterous, but has sometimes issues with what's around him and knock things over.

Fourth one is Quince- the original fruit is only white and fuzzy when it's not ripe, but Quince is just a young adult that could lose his fur as he gets older (but he might not get older since he's a video game character). He's a vampire moth. He works as a clothing store owner- he's affiliated with Cucumber, so Quince's products are high-quality and expensive. As a shop owner he's pretty pushy in a classic salesman manner, with sometimes peer pressure such as 'but you'd look WONDERFUL with this 999.99$ coat!'. Despite his customer pleasing attitude, he's actually kinda mean- he JUST bites people that dislike his style/products, and has the nefarious plan of 'conquering the fashion world', so that Cucumber's brans dominates the whole clothing market. He has this mean side because he was relentlessly bullied in his past, and wants to enforce a new norm to not be left out ever again. His wings were burnt by his bullies, that were initially his friends.

Fifth one is Swenson Red Grape, but he's just known as Swenson. He's a Sabethes Mosquito. He's a star that creates synth music, which is like our world's 80s lyrical music. Swenson composes and writes all his lyrics by himself, and he has few bodyguards and managers- because he dislikes using people and... He didn't actually want to be a star! He just started music in his room, and was peer pressured to do a concert because he was 'talented'. From there he got much more success than he ever wished for, due to the fact that his music is unique in the Fruitbugs world. As a result he's infamous for not being open to fans and paparazzis- he's actually downright cold/dismissive. He often dreams of 'escaping to the countryside' where no one knows his name. He wants to be seen as a person rather than a star/music creating machine.

Sixth one is Coast Live Acorn, Coast for short- he's a conehead mantis. He doesn't look like much of an acorn, but i tried to make him more alien than acorn-like. In any case, Coast is mean! He wants to conquer the Fruitbug world, to make everyone his servants. He believes he's the best alien in the universe, who's above any planet's lifeforms. To achieve his plan, he destroys buildings to rebuild them to his liking. This more annoying than anything for NPCS and other fruitbugs, who have to redecorate their homes from scratch and put away the Coast-shaped furniture.

Seventh is Hawthorne Wildflower, who's a common cricket. He's still the same as before in terms of personality. But i added the fact that he's very caring if you get close to him- he'll craft things for you and bring you... 'Gifts' (animals with 1HP so you can kill them and gain EXP).

Eighth is Criollo Cocoa, he's an unicorn mantis. Like Cocoa, Criollo creates chocolate- except his is very fancy and not poisoned. It's expensive too. He's very snobbish and believes he's above almost everyone, safe for fellow 'high quality' products creators like Cucumber. Criollo also says he's above eating his own chocolate, but occasionally during fancy parties, he'll take one or two without anyone noticing. Deep down he wishes he had more real friends, but he has too much issues interacting with 'regular' people. Except for Nacional Cocoa.

Ninth is said Nacional Cocoa! He's a yellow orchid mantis. He's a mime that loves to perform as the most dramatically sad man in the world. In reality, he's actually sad, but prefers to not let anyone know. The only things that bring him a smile are Criollo and making others laugh with his mime antics. Few people seem to like him though, because of his association with white chocolate that makes people irrationally angry in the fruitbugs world (for no real reason other than taste).

Tenth is Blood Peach, he's a question mark butterfly. He's a knight that works for Nectarine (that i need to update/redesign), and the two actually are in a close platonic relationship with. Blood Peach would do anything for his partner, and like the latter, Blood is no stranger in sending meat eating butterflies to eat his ennemies' flesh. Though he does prefers to fight 'fairly' with his sword if the other person has a weapon.

Eleventh is Peanut, he's a mole cricket. He lives in the Desert level, in an area is like the underground from pkmn Diamond/Pearl. The players must help him extract cool rocks via a minigame that's like fossil extraction from Spectrobs. Don't get him crystals/gems, he thinks those are overrated, he's a 'regular' rock-based geologist. Peanut rarely uses tools to dig, because his claws are efficient and his body is actually half mechanized, hence the smoke pipes coming out of certain parts of him. As a result, he has much more stamina than most people and can dig for hours on end.

Last one is Medlar, he's a girafe weevil. He looks like he has a mascot head on, but that's his actual face- he can emote but chooses not to. He used to work at an amusement park, where he was a mascot that took pictures with people and generally brought joy to the park. But it closed due to financial reasons, and it was left to rot. Medlar, knowing nothing besides how to be a mascot, also was left to rot. He still roams the park, hoping a visitor will come and enjoy the rides, and even take a picture with him to make him feel whole again. Even during the better days of the park, Medlar was obsessed with how people see him- partially because that would be bad rep for the structure, but also because he has zero confidence and relies on people to feel loved and worthy. He does not actually know who he is outside his role as a mascot.

I’m rereading the books after a couple years, and was a bit saddened to find that most of the fandom fell away after the series had ended (bc I actually only read the books for the first time when the entire series had been published for years), but you post regularly and reblog regularly, so yay, it seems that people are still here!!! After years of loving these books and rereading them I’d love to finally join the fandom— any blogs you’d recommend I follow, ppl who are still into LL and active at least every couple months? Hey hey, welcome to the fandom!! Yeah we're still here, it kinda gets a bit quiet now and again with all of us being busy, but the fandom is still around and kicking!

Most LL fans as far as I'm aware post about the series on their main blogs that have frequent activity, so if you don't mind following people that post any kind for a while but have something LL related now and again, this would be your option. If you wanna chat them up about the series then I would say @kip-loric @biddybaboop @simpforsix are very active and occasionally share LL art or incorrect quotes or memes!

If you are looking for LL blogs, I would say @5s-missing-eye and @apocalx post on occasion, but they're super passionate about the characters and have tons of interesting aus and headcanons and book thoughts to read through!

Kip currently has a Gem AU with the Garde that you can ask them about if you happen to know about Steven Universe, and both them and apocalx have LL OCs who are Human Garde with some detailed backstories and personalities!

I usually just follow the lorien legacies tag and find stuff from there, and once in a blue moon you get a new person come out and post some art or incorrect quotes or fanfic ideas for a while! The tag updates sporadically as well, but sometimes in the year it gets pretty frequent (like now for example since it's break for some of us in school).

Kinda ironic we went from SatAM Robotnik being [allegedly] claimed the most evil Eggman; clowning on game Eggman for not being such. (Despite the fact that the former had to steal someone else's invention in order to conquer the kingdom, then was planned to be replaced by the writers with originals. Meanwhile the latter in the Classic titles alone, had an ending where he burned down a city with something HE created.)

To now the concept of game Eggman being "redeemed" is slowly becoming more embraced by fandom; when the man has a resume of reeking havoc by disrupting timelines and dimensions, mistreatment of creations, awakening deities, destroying habitats and history for his theme parks and self gain, blew the moon up, broke the planet apart, conquered it with heavily implied murder and almost doubled down by on it by making a sun, made something that going to suck energy dry, the enslavement of an alien species, and so on. Yeah, that's a prime candidate for redemption. /s

Wasn't too many heroes a complaint at one point in this series? Why would you want the main friggin' villain to be in that category of all things and what good does it do him.

You can always tell how people look at him through what they say about him VS what they say about other villains.

They'll insist that redeeming moments give him necessary depth... only to turn around and praise Mephiles for being a 100% baddie, or Nega for being "an evil Eggman", or Starline for supposedly being more cruel than Eggman despite evidence to the contrary, or Erazor for how abusive and unrepentant he was. (I like Erazor mind you, but it's another suitable comparison.) The list goes on. He's not allowed an Erazor/Merlina endgame moment with no strings attached. He's not allowed to have big boy villain moments, if the fandom has anything to say about it.

I'll never stop loving the good doctor, despite Frontiers' admirable efforts to butcher him. But being an Eggman fan fucking sucks sometimes, with all the disrespect he gets from the fandom and various official material alike... especially nowadays, where it feels like many of his own fans don't even like him for him anymore.

I have seen pretty much everything that is out/widely known about as of day one so I'm just gonna ramble about everything. Starting with positives and then getting into the things I didn't like towards the end. Cause hoo boy are my feeling very mixed about this whole thing let me tell you.

I like Cassie! We have proper context and motivation for her right off the bat. Immediate story improvements there!

The gameplay of the whole DLC looks way better. Personally I've never liked games that box you in to one path too much in a way it's too obvious, but the DLC makes it realistic and gives paths that loop back around to places you've been. The map still doesn't make sense but that's just the SB experience at this point I guess.

Eclipse. ECLIPSE. ECLIPSE CANON OH MY GOD. He's sweet and gentle and acts just like how a caretaker should! Sun pleading for help and Moon expressing their pain being forced to work as entirely separate programs, both of them fighting each other's triggers.... Aauughhhh I love them. The fact that all they needed for so long was a simple reboot and there were just no human workers around to do it.... 😭

AND ROXANNE. Seeing the side of the characters actually being child entertainers is so nice! Even if it was done just to make the moment bittersweet. "Do you still like carrot cake? I like carrot cake." They're all supposed to be kind. They're supposed to be good and wholesome and they've all been twisted into monsters that aren't their true selves.

Bonnie design reveal!!!! Further implications that Monty murdered him!!! I...! I'm not sure I like it. It's difficult because he has no consistency in his appearance. The Bonnie Bowl mascot is purple like OG Bon but the design we see in the gator ride telling Monty's backstory is blue. What are those shoulder pads and how would that work on an animatronic, like at all?? He has no room to move his head! Don't get me started on the inconsistent coloring between his gloves and his outfit. Idc if I sound pretentious for this, the clothing choices hurt me as an artist tbh. If you're gonna make him blue let him wear hot pink or or even yellow. Idk idk it just didn't mesh to me. Oh and his neon sign had the star glasses but his cut outs didn't. Inconsistency is Steel Wool's middle name.

TL;DR I like the characterization given to everyone this time around, it felt right for them. Bonnie's design is inconsistent and kinda mid. And trying to force in booklore most people won't know about is just stupid and I'm mad about it. That's about it.

I definitely wanna draw Cassie with Roxy post game- because I do believe she survived that elevator crash- and maybe make a Bonnie design I'll like better. And I definitely wanna see other people's art. That'll be the best part of all of this.

Howdy, it’s the fun fact not anon, I’m going to fully keep it a buck fifty, I sent a fun fact last night but my tumblr is being weird as hell and something was going on with the Wi-Fi i was using? So I’m just gonna say the same stuff again and if it went through this is sadly not a new fun facts.

Last night I was ridiculously eppy after spending the day with friends, so my initial fun fact as literally something I had just found out about and had no relevance whatsoever, which was that apparently glasses that can make subtitles are supposed to be coming out sometime in the near future, so if that works it’s pretty cool.

Then I got derailed(or re railed? Since it was a semi relevant fun fact. Either way I was very excited it came to mind,) because I did have a fun fact: It’s the classic we casually have more computing power in our phones than it took to send people to the moon in 1969. When I was trying to look up specific numbers, I found out that nowadays some fancy USBs have more computing power than the guidance computer on Apollo 11.

Then I ended it off with an ask: How do aliens react to humanity’s ability to do buck wild shit with relatively limited resources or technology? I.e using limited computational power to send someone to the moon, building gigantic pyramids, being a general nuisance to any invader, etc.

Then I proceeded to get absolutely 0 sleep until like 5:30 am.

Engineered Angst Full poster: 5/10. what's going on here?? Is the person in front going to an eye doctor with funky walls? And why does she kinds look like a Urbz DS render? So many question, no answers

Engineered Angst Red: 6/10. Better than the previous one imo, I like the sims' facial expression a lot! And this is a me problem, but it kind of reminds me of the promo clips of the virtual boy?? Y'know that nintendo console that only used red and black as its colors? Still pretty cool though!

Searing Indifference: 7/10 Angsty teen poster number 3. Honestly? Iconic, this is one of those posters that I still remember from playing the game when I was younger. I've always thought it was a band poster though. Nonetheless, it's a very cheesy poster but I just can't rate this any lower

"Civic Idol" by Adora Wall Arts: 7/10 AMAZING POSTER!! I'd say it's the best "emo/edgy" poster in the game. I'd only like to know what the hell that humanoid thing is. Also, the red thing looks wonky and apparently the white stripes are meant to say "Civic Idol". But the skyline and the moon look so great and the red stripe makes it look like dangerous and egdy. Kudos for the amazing composition of this one

Pets poster: 5/10. Cursed. For some reason, this poster looks much more jankier and pixelated than the others, even the basegame ones. Kinda simple, but it sorta does the job (Fun fact: this is one of the few posters that have variants! Which redeems it)

Revolutionary Rebellion poster: 8/10. Really cool! I love the hard red with the black and white and is much less crispier than some other posters. In the build&buy description it says that we should check out the Sim with the moustache but honestly, I have no idea what that's about. At least it looks pretty nice! Kent, Nervous and Moustache Mercutio is my fave rockband

"It's Reggae, Mon" Poster: 9/10. Really pretty!! I love the posing of this guy and with the sun flare and background it's one of the most beautiful posters available! Also, seeing the previous music posters' description, I thought the devs would've made fun of the genre since they also did that with the teenage angst posters. But I think it's actually really nice and cool what they wrote about reggae music so I've included it for you to read

"Fists of Bunny" poster: 8/10. I think this might be an anime reference or something? Or is this what the Social Bunny does when he's not with a sim? Just anime kicking in the Void? I don't get the reference, but it does look cool! Would I hang this up in my actual room? Probably yeah! And I like that it's the Social Bunny, we don't see the guy that often in the Build&Buy

Inverted Vertigo, Cover art: 5/10. What the hell is going on here??? Hands??? light strokes? Some people? A face??? This reminds when I discovered blending layers in a drawing program for the first time honestly.

All the alien posters: 8/10 Tumblr limits me to only upload 10 images, so these guys are getting grouped. Hell yeah! Alien posters! These look cool as hell, HD quality next to the pets poster. I don't know how to feel about the way too human alien head on the left though, it kinda freaks me out, because for the sims 2 this is far too realistic. And apparently the guy on the surfboard is PT#9 cousin, RT#66 surfing through the galaxy, good for him! These posters are rad as hell in my opinion, especially after some rather small and pixelated ones.

lots of stuff, i am happy to say! but the big one right now i guess is finally finishing up school. when i'd started college i ended up being in a relationship that, like, completely wrecked my self esteem and mental health at large, and i thought i'd never be able to graduate (and even came damn close to losing my scholarship at one point, which *would* have made it so i wouldn't be able to graduate lmao). so, being back now feels like a really nice accomplishment to me, and it's amazing to look back and see how much i've progressed in the past three-ish years and how much better i'm doing!! pair that with the fact that i'm doing work that i'm enjoying and feel like i do well, and yeah i do end up feeling pretty proud of myself! it's certainly not the biggest achievement in the world, but it's big to me, and that's what's important

We’ve already discussed it! Libra. But you know what? He’s hella evil. Virgo moon, that crazy plan was all Virgo moon. Leo rising, I have no actual reason for this other than I know three men who are Leo risings and they’re straight trash lol. They’re selfish and their actions are usually dictated by their irrational emotions. They always act like they’re right too, and like you’re insane for ever questioning them. And they’re super manipulative.

what does this mean about how he fucks you? nothing good at the start tbh. he’s going to pretend that you’re literally nothing more than a hook up, he’s going to play games and make you jealous, and only if you’re strong enough to stick it out, he’ll admit the truth. (which is that there was never anyone else as soon as he took you out on that first date) but other than that, we all know ransom has a degrading kink. which probably creates a lot of roleplay scenarios where you pretend to be various members of staff and he pretends to be a customer that’s less than pleased with your performance.

The daddy of all daddies:

again, we’ve already talked about it. he’s a Capricorn. But let’s take it further with a scorpio moon. All those walls he put up, all the lying, and keeping those feelings to himself, undeniably Scorpio, along with probably at least 3 other placements. But there’s also just something about him that is comforting and sweet so I’d give him a Taurus rising.

what does this mean about how he fucks you? well, the Capricorn makes him a fucking demon. he just always wants you under him, or at least bound, disadvantaged in some small way. he likes reminding you that he is in charge and that no one is better at it than him. but then that Taurus rising makes him soooooo good with aftercare and intimacy that practically suffocates you on those mornings you wake up together or the rare weekends you guys have before he demands that you move in with him.

Fic-Marlene and some Marc backstory

I will have to change a few things about her though, since anything Layla took from Marlene she'll keep. So Marlene won't be the daughter of an archeologist but the daughter of a college professor or something like that?

I'll keep the fact that she changed 200 times of career path/returned to school 20 times lmao.

Also for some reason I was sure she was French too, I didn't find that information anywhere for or against it. So I'll keep that headcanon, at least partially. So Marc met her through JP (but not through a mercenary job).

She was the only other serious relationship Marc had before Layla. They dated for quite some time before, not sure how long, between 3 to 5 years. She was a friend of a friend of Jean-Paul. He knew her before but not super well. Marc met her during one of their holiday, at the beginning of his mercenary career.

She was not a great girlfriend, she turned out to be emotionally abusive.

Some Moon Boys character analysis with that ?

I've mentioned in other metas how Marc went into the army because it was his quickest, and possibly only, way out of his family home while having barely a high school degree.

I also mentioned that it wasn't just because of that, it was because the army - with its strict expectations, its rigidity and the potential violence of first line combatant - was something familiar to Marc (and Jake). It was, unconsciously, reassuring. It was something that wasn't too far away from what he was used to, somewhere were he would be forced to do things, somewhere with violence, somewhere that wasn't too far from who he had been told he was. He thought it was the only place that would take him, where he would feel 'at home'.

And then I realized, that his personal life would be the same. That he'd unconsciously look for something familiar, something he was used to.

It was like how Jake couldn't tolerate nice touches. They felt alien to him, unfamiliar, weird, stressful. Being hurt felt better to Jake than being hugged.

Marc was the same but with psychological/emotional things. Someone being nice, kind, caring with him, it was weird, it was alien.

With his friends, in the many jobs he had - they were often violent, ultramasculine places - he had this 'tough love' kind of relationship. Even with Frenchie. Making fun of each other, being jerks sometimes even, but being supportive and loyal, without ever being truly open or vulnerable. That was the kind of friendships Marc got, and he was kinda comfortable with that.

In love.

Marc's love life had been very hectic and he wasn't often with the women who had it all together. He got with women who had their owns issues, had relationships that were difficult to keep, unpredictable, with lots of drama, fleeting, brief. Until he was 22-23, that's all he got. Nothing even close to a committed relationship.

But then there was Marlene. She was French, educated, liked fine things and dressing well, and was very very attractive. She was fun, she liked action, she made him go out and have more of a life. She had more friends that he ever had. She knew what he did for a living, and she didn't seem to mind, as long as he could buy her nice things. And the sex was amazing.

He wanted to try for her, try that commited relationship thing.

Without Marc realizing it however, he was still following that pattern. Looking in women for something familiar, something he was used to. Marlene was getting more and more manipulative, she wanted everything from him. His undivided attention, his money - anything she wanted, she had to have it. If he didn't, she would get angry, throw fits, even threaten him. Like she'd threaten to rat him out to the police and tell them everything he had done as a contract for hire. She was limiting the jobs he could take and his communications, and if he didn't bring back as much money because of that she'd get angry.

Marc put up with it for a long time. He tried to defend himself during arguments, to not always do what she wanted. But in the end, he didn't want to leave her. It was a familiar miserable feeling, almost soothing. She was just difficult, he told Frenchie who was starting to get concerned, she wasn't really abusive. He knew what emotional abuse was, and Marlene wasn't as bad as his mother had been. She didn't shout names or insults at him, or make him feel like less than nothing - not really.

Frienchie was getting really concerned, since it was because of him that Marc had met Marlene. Marc seemed to not see how emotionally abusive she was, or didn't seem to care.

JP : Marc, you deserve better than her

Marc *no. I don't *

After years of this, and some very difficult times, Marc and Marlene ended up breaking up. Marc was able to see how toxic she was in the end, whether he broke up with her or whether she left him.

Marc also carried this emotional (and physical) masochism. Again, for the familiarity of it, but also because he wanted to punish himself for everything he had done, and because he didn't think he deserved anything else.

A few years later would be when he met Layla. And as wonderful as Layla was (although not perfect, nobody is), Marc needed something to feel miserable about in their relationship. Layla wasn't treating him badly, far from it. He'd never felt such connection with someone else before. But it couldn't be perfect, it couldn't even be good. That was one of the many reasons he didn't tell Layla about what happened to her dad. He had contacted her to tell her, but he wasn't able to bring himself to do it. And now, keeping this secret from her, that was what kept him in anguish, that was what kept him from fully embracing their relationship. Old patterns die hard.

Coming into the season 2-3 fic

Now how all this would play out in the fic.

Marlene will come back in their life, about 15 years after Marc broke up with her, saying she lives in London now too and wants to reconnect. Steven doesn't know her (he might have briefly seen her a few times) and Marc quickly informs him that she was not a good relationship and they shouldn't interact with her.

Marlene even meets Layla and wants to be friends with her. Layla isn't interested in that.

They all agree they should just never see her again...except for Jake. Some stuff happens in between, and Jake didn't intend to date her, but it happens anyway. Jake is fully aware that Steven & Marc have no interest in interacting more with Marlene, so he keeps it a secret. From everyone. Even from Frenchie.

They all eventually learn that Jake and Marlene are dating (Marlene thinks it's Marc, since she was never aware of Marc's DID and Jake doesn't want to tell her), Frenchie being the first one to know.

JP is...unhappy is an understatement. It took him years of work to get Marc to realize how abusive she was. Will he have to go through the same motion with Jake? Well, yes. But this time, JP has help from Steven & Marc.

Steven, once he learns about it, makes it his duty to co-front with Jake whenever he's with Marlene, and point to him every bad behavior she could be showing. She is indeed starting again her old habits of manipulation with Jake. Jake has, unfortunately, fallen in love with her, and is very hesitant to break up. He was as emotionally dependent as...well all of them were.

It's Marc, however, once he learns about it and calms down, who really opens Jake's eyes and convinces him to break up with her.

So Jake does. But Marlene isn't going to give him up that easily. She tries to get him back many times, in many different ways. She manages to sleep with Jake one last time. Which is the one time too many. Shortly after, Marlene tells Layla, that she's pregnant with their child (Diatrice wooh).

Layla's reaction to that is a whole other thing to go through at another time.

All the Moon Boys freak out, but they decide they can't let Marlene raise the child. The risk of her being also emotionally abusive to the child is just too high. They have to get custody as soon as they can.

For now, they're biding their time. Marlene tells Jake that, of course, he'll be able to see his daughter whenever he wants.

Barely three months after Diatrice is born, however, Marlene leaves for the USA with her new boyfriend.

The Moon Boys and Layla decide they have to follow her to the USA. And that's where they move to NYC to meet Matt for a time.

They hire Jennifer Walters aka She-Hulk for Diatrice's custody battle, and through Jen they'll meet Bruce. And through Bruce they'll get their new American psychiatrist Dr Samson.

well i've finished the first star wars trilogy lads (return of the jedi was my 69th film of the year jsyk lol hashtag nice)!

some of the bits of the trilogy i liked: all the characters (esp luke, r2d2, LANDO!!! (how have i never heard of him??? he's literally amazing & he and han's relationship is so great lol) & leia), the various shots of multiple moons/suns on the different planets (& in general the aesthetic of a universe that's very different from ours but also very recognisable is just so clever!), the MUSIC, han & leia were GREAT and i honestly wish we'd had more scenes w/ their developing relationship tbh!, the costumes were really cool & i adoreddd how they did leia's hair!, the aliens are so alien!! & i loved how much attention was paid attention to how species don't all look the same (like the ewoks were all individuals and each had their own personality which was really fun!), all the force stuff is really interesting (it's especially cool to see a sci fi thing that isn't afraid to also be a fantasy story lol)... tbh in general i really enjoyed them, and in a way the fact i've absorbed SO much star wars lore from just being... on earth lol meant that i felt like i basically already knew the story, but it was nice to finally be able to say that i've seen star wars lol

things that were silly/i didn't like: the opening text crawls should have had a narrator... like that's not me whining about reading but more it would really make it more cinematic, why'd they make yoda look/talk like that... like i get he's iconic to cinema and everything but idk he made me SO uncomfortable lol, the fact both luke and leia lose their loved ones in one day and neither seem to really grieve/process was a bit odd (like leia lost her whole planet and it's just ???? never addressed really lol??), ok so this isn't plot related but what WAS that scene at the start of the 3rd film in jabba the hutt's.... hut(?) where there's a whole jazz song sung in some alien language that just goes on WAY too long lol?? (there was also some music in the first film at that bar where luke first met han but that didn't felt so awkward fsr lol), all 3 films have a kinda boring beginning (like, the first begins in the middle of a war we don't understand, the 2nd is some random battle & the 3rd, which is arguable the most interesting beginning, starts with them trying to rescue han), palpatine sucked... best part of the trilogy was when he was thrown into ?? something by vader that was great lol, some of the dialogue was a bit awkward but like i didn't care that much lol i've seen much worse, the space battles themselves weren't that interesting to me but that's mainly cos they felt a lot like car chase scenes in action films which i just don't care for lol (but like it's called star wars so i know why there had to be wars amongst the stars lol... the lightsaber stuff was cool tho even if the technology wasn't /quite/ there in the 70s/80s to make it super slick, & the final thing is idk if this was just cos i was watching it ...not legitimately, but the font for the 'in a galaxy a long time ago something something' is SO bad like i get it was chosen in the 70s but pleaSE it's so bad it hurts my eyes :(... honestly i know it sounds like i'm complaining but i did legit enjoy them and am kinda annoyed it took me so long to watch them lol
