My roman empire is that Reaver is, or at the very least was, a human. That he had parents, and possibly siblings, and friends and a home and, from what is heard from his diary, a lover that he genuinely cared about. That he probably had a normal job, a normal name, and hopes and dreams and passion and probably so much love to give. It could just be my naivety and blind optimism, but I do, with all my heart, truly believe that whoever Reaver was before he, UNKNOWINGLY, made that deal with the Shadow Court, was good. That he had goodness in him. And that makes seeing him the way we do in the games, and him still looking so young, so much more heartbreaking. He really was just a dumb kid scared of losing everything, and he lost it all anyway.

Lark called Normal his son in the latest episode despite saying in episode 6, that his hookup with Rebecca didn't happen around the time she got pregnant with Normal. Also, he was under the influence of The Doodle in that moment, making it hard to lie.

Taking that into account, he was then either able to keep himself from revealing a second hookup that DID happen around the time of Rebecca's pregnancy, or he has some weird unrequited pseudo-parent mindset towards Normal
