The ape and the human were forced to commit to each other. Not that they were really forced, since after their first physical encounter, both were in agreement that their lives were dedicated to each other.

Noa's father was the one who opposed it the most. It wasn't normal to see a formal wedding between an ape and a human, but the political pressure around him, along with his own son's, had been enough to convince him.

For Mae, her life was starting to sound different. No interested boy came near her again. In fact, no boy at all. Noa had promised his father that he wouldn't touch her until they were married, and Mae didn't agree with that at all.

After that night, with barely an hour together, she had already gotten used to his hands and the way he touched her. And he refused to do it. Mae always initiated the approach. First, silly kisses, then touches on his hairy chest, and when she tried to go lower, Noa would run away to the nearest bathroom.

But that had to end.

Their wedding was being prepared by professionals hired by their parents, with a formal and political theme that came with it, which meant that their wedding would take place within two months to give them time to prepare everything.

To do that, she planned the ice cream plan. With the excuse of wanting him to try that human gastronomic wonder, Mae managed to convince him to let her visit him at his home.

He was the one who received her with a tender look. Mae hugged him, leaving the ice cream aside. Although the ape only half-responded to the hug, she didn't let go.

"Come, let's go to the living room."

Mae observed the house with curiosity. Due to the clan leader being close to humans and having economic power, there was a lot of human technology in the house, from TVs to computers and even a roomba.

"Are we alone?" Mae tried not to sound too excited.

"Yes, my mom went shopping, and Dad is never home during the day."

Noa could be so innocent when he wanted to.

For a moment, she felt bad about her plan to seduce him, but then she thought that it wouldn't hurt him, she just wanted to do what engaged couples did.

Noa led her to the living room, offering her a seat next to him.

"Here, I brought two types of ice cream for us to eat together."

She handed him a chocolate ice cream and took a tutti-frutti one for herself.

She watched him sniffing the ice cream, analyzing it with his gaze, and that made her laugh.

"Go on, try it. It's good."

Noa took her advice, taking a spoonful to his mouth, and she imitated him with her ice cream.

That's when she started to put her plan into action.

She knew Noa loved to look at her, especially her eyes, and she would take advantage of that. She lowered her gaze to her ice cream and left the spoon in her mouth, playing with it with her tongue. She didn't need to look at him to know he was watching her.

Their overprotective attitude may come as a threat to their relationship, though a good reason to include their drama in fanfics including a ship with Bunny or Alistair. 5/10

Poppy and Duchess: The ship was created in Fairest On Ice, when Poppy unintentionally challenged Duchess to ice skating. They accidentally skate/fall down a slope and ✨Poppy saves them✨ When they get down safely, Duchess’s arrogance narrowed down slightly towards Poppy and she actually compliments her ice skating. Melody and Meeshell: I think their relationship might help them with both their character. Opposites do attract, and Melody’s confidence might rub off on Meeshell’s introverted personality. Meeshell’s shyness might help Melody be more grounded and understanding with Meeshell’s overthinking. Plus, DONT YOU WANNA SEE THEN PERFORM TGT🥺❤️ 8/10

Briar and Ginger: With Briar deciding to rebel, Ginger would be able to express her distress to her, Briar doing the same, both understanding, in one way or another, what each other was going through. 5/10

SPOILERS AHEAD

Oh man you guys! I really enjoyed this episode! I loved it way more than The Broken Circle but I did not love it as much as I loved Ad Astra Per Aspera but that episode was so a cut above the average (as in in the running for best episodes of Trek ever written caliber stuff). That it hardly seems fair to say so because this episode was an absolute JOY to watch! Lol! I love a good time travel romp!

I remembered enjoying Paul Wesley’s Kirk in A Quality of Mercy but I wasn’t sure whether I was just riding the high of the previous season or whether he could pull it off twice. But he did and I really really like his interpretation of Jim. I honestly like it a lot better than Chris Pine’s if I’m super honest with y’all.

I mean he UNDERSTOOD the assignment! He was definitely at his Kirkiest when they initially arrived in the 21st century that body language and cadence was on point despite him not looking too much like Shatner. I mean hats off to the writers too for that one. The passion for chess without being overly cocky. The all of it!

There was something about the hot dogs scene and letting La’an have the bed in the hotel that felt very Tarsus IV even tho that might not have happened in this timeline. It’s still very James Kirk of him. Not to mention the whole bit where his type is overachiever, kinda uptight but also dark and mysterious and dare I say a little out of his league folks. Whom he charms without being pushy into warming up to him and letting their guard down. Also THANK YOU to the writers and to Wesley for recognizing Kirk Drift and acknowledging our boy is a hopeless romantic and NOT a babe hound.

I called the La’an/Kirk thing way before it happened because of it. And from what was implied in the Ready Room interview with Paul Wesley it sounds as though we might get more La’an & Jim content in the future which I certainly wouldn’t object to! Although we are skirting the edge of when Jim & Carol Marcus supposedly met so that might get a lil complicated but the seasons (because they’re sorter) might not be 1:1 with years so they’ve got some wiggle room to work with.

I love seeing the cinematic parallels between Kirk & Jim’s love interest stuff in SNW that clearly draws them to each other later on. Chapel is a lot like Kirk and Spock is falling for her pretty hard. La’an is a lot like Spock by the time we meet him in TOS (not too similar to SNW baby Spock though) and they fell for each other pretty badly too! For example, both La’an & Spock are terrified of Kirk’s insane driving skills (or lack thereof lmao)! But enough about Jim & the whole K/S kitten caboodle! This episode is about LA’AN :D

Holy shit did La’an need what’s been happening with her in these past couple episodes. She got to face her generational trauma headlong, she got to see a mirror in Kirk and further realize the value of enjoying the fleeting and precious joys of life. By both convincing this alternate timeline version of Kirk that her version of the world is worth saving (also not the “Sam’s alive?” 😭 because his older brother dies unexpectedly and tragically in both timelines DONT TOUCH MEEEE, also not the potential Kirk bros content going forward also 😭). To eating the damn hot dog, and presumably letting Kirk talk her into taking the bed and just ugggggh.

And then HE DIES! They fridged Captain James T. Kirk of all people for HER character development lmao how’s THAT for a twist. Historically it’s been the other way around how’s that feel for once Jimbo? Damn!

Sera was an interesting villain, she was a good twist honestly felt like something was up with her the minute she had pics of that romukan ship. Also, I love all the self referential like, “yes we acknowledge this changed a little bit” stuff that’s happened. Like the Temporal Wars are why the Eugenics war is supposed to start around *now* and not the 90s like previously stated and Sera has been trapped trying to fulfill her mission for 30 years. Or how clearly Jim thinks everybody calls his brother George and only he gets to call him Sam when clearly that’s not the case lol. It’s nice little touches like that that really make me feel validated for having faith in the writers when nitpickers complain.

Also PELIA! She’s an art thief?! Incredible! Hilarious! Brilliant! No notes! Although it JUST occurred to me that because La’an went to Pelia before the whole “preventing the timeline from changing entirely” bit does THAT mean that La’an can at least talk to Pelia about what happened?! Because it’s implied La’an is who inspired her to become an engineer and that’s still part of our prime timeline! Maybe it’s like a Guinan and Picard situation! I think La’an should get to sob into the arms of our funky little klepto engineer grandma as a treat instead of breaking down alone in her room, please and thank you!

Anyway, baller episode! 9/10

Amber wishes she wouldnt have to share her birthday with her twin James, so he gets magically turned into a toddler. Hijnks ensue. Another brilliant moment of character growth for Amber and showing how much she really cares for James, despite them being polar opposites.

The Enchanted Feast - 9/10

Miss Nettle returns disguised as a visiting sorceress in order to steal the amulet but Sofia is having none of that shit so she gets her critter army to stop Nettle. Also Snow White is here in properly the best media appearance she will ever get since Kingdom Hearts

The Flying Crown - 3/10

Sofia befriends the brooding jock Prince Hugo cos apparently she doesnt have a life. Look, I know you need to work with him to do your flying derby race, Sof, but dont bother with this Hunter expy.

Mom's The Word - 10/10

Its Sofia's first Mother's Day in the castle and she gets left out when her mother is spending more time with Amber and James. One of the show's core themes is teaching kids about blended families and Sofia struggling to adjust sharing her mother with her step siblings is very potent.

The Silent Knight - 4/10

Aunt Tilly falls for some NPC knight, when Cedric is right over there. Like show, if you were gonna ship any couple. I want sorceror failhusband and chaotic adventurer wife. Or hell, the drama teacher Miss Elodie for a gay option.

Sofia's girl scout group goes to a wizard retirement home where Cedric's parents live and she helps Cedric win his dad's approval and stop his micromanaging bs. Also, Hell canonically exists in Sofia the First and that fact alone is both disturbing and hilarious

Princesses to the Rescue! - 9/10

James and his friend Jin get captured by a discount Tai Lung and their dads end up being captured too cos theyre that stupid. So its up to Sofia, Jun and Amber to save the day. Also Mulan is here and its a nice touch they gave her the armour she worn throughout most of her original movie.

Ghostly Gala - 7/10

On Halloween, Sofia befriends the undead and convinces everyone in the castle that they're not seeing things, honest. Seriously, this girl could befriend Eldritch monsters and convince everyone that they're chill.

The Emerald Key - 10/10

A Hawaiian princess has lost a precious heirloom and washes up on the shores of Enchancia, calling for help. Another Hawaiian princess shows up, declaring shes the real deal. The Enchanican royal family immediately decide the best way to tell these two indigenous princesses apart is to get them to partake in white royal etiquette and activities and automatically assume the one doing the best at all of them is the real princess. Sofia realises that the imposter is always the whitewashed one.

Man, after Amber became a good person, the writers really doubled down on making her friend Hildegarde the new alpha bitch. Supposedly this was the episode to humanise her but honestly after watching this whole series, she really hasnt improved since this episode so it feels like lightning in a bottle we will never get again. The highlight was definitely Sofia yelling at Hildegarde's constant know it all attitude.

Baileywhoops - 8/10

Finally, Baileywick gets a good episode. I love the idea that Baileywick is such a good steward that EVERY OTHER STEWARD IN EVERY KINGDOM WANTS TO BE HIM OR WANTS HIS JOB. He's like the Alfred of this show.

The Curse of Princess Ivy - 10/10

Amber steals Sofia's amulet out of jealousy, unleashes an evil princess by mistake and now all hell's broken loose. Sofia really rakes Amber over the coals in this special and its glorious. Again, another episode that develops Amber as a character and its great to see the message of earning forgiveness and actually putting the effort in to change, instead of putting pressure on the victim to just enable their abuser's behaviour. Rapunzel's there as well with a banger song.

Winter's Gift - 8/10

Sofia meets a fawn named Autumn, who freezes everything she touchs and she fucking hates it. (Hmm, wonder why Elsa or Anna didnt show up in this ep?) However, Autumn fears the witch who gave her the powers in the first place won't do it cos she hasnt got her a nice enough gift in return. Turns out the witch is super nice, actually.

The Leafsong Festival - -8/10

Clover's dragon friend Crackle gives up her fire powers so she can be in a talent show but she has to get it back or THE ENTIRE KINGDOM WILL FREEZE TO DEATH AND APPARENTLY A SMALL DRAGON CAN MELT A KINGDOM'S SIZED COAT OF ICE.

Substitute Cedric - 10/10

Cedric begrudgingly decides to be substitute at Sofia's school for a day but turns out he really enjoys teaching and helps the kids practice magic on some wizard bullies. Cedric becoming more of a cool uncle is the best. Also, Sofia yelling the phrase "prank day is over!" to the wizard bullies as a war cry is really badass.

Clover Time - 4/10

Clover acts like a shitty roommate to Sofia, which is weird cos I thought Clover already lived with Sofia. Yknow, him being her pet and all.

In a Tizzy - -5/10

Ruby gets her own fairy godmother to help her build a cart and practice for a go-cart race. Thats neat! And yet, this all could've been solved if Ruby's mum was in the episode

A Tale of Two Teams - 6/10

I love how despite being a royal for like a year now, Sofia always chooses her old friends whenever she can. Neat how this is the episode where Jade actually needs glasses as her vision is causing her problems during kickoff. Amber also learns to manage and be a good coach. Man, the writers really put their all into giving Amber little intricacies with her character and James has...knight stuff

The Littlest Princess - 7/10

Sofia befriends a group of freeloading spirites who cause havoc in the castle and has to find a way to convince them to leave since that's the only way to get rid of them. I like how Sofia's flaw of being too trusting to everyone she meets causes trouble and Miranda gets to shine as being the best parent/role model in Sofia's life.

Buttercup Amber - 10/10

For some reason, Amber joins Sofia's girl scout camping trip and unlike the last experience with Baileywick, this one is actually fun. Seriously, Amber brought her entire wardrobe of dresses to camp and the girls inspire her to create a huge tent out of them. Nice to see Amber has changed a lot since Season 1 already.

Carol of the Arrow - -8/10

Ah yes, I love watching Sofia the First talking about anti-royalism, despite being set in a world where the royals are super friendly and interventionalist, there is no classism between the royals and commoners and that colonialisation doesnt exist. And yet we have a non-furry Robin Hood trying to help the common folk and Sofia's standing there like 'oh she's my fave celeb i cant be a royal!! i'll pretend to be a commoner again so i can show her royals can do something' but SHE'S GOT NO REASON TO HIDE HER IDENTITY COS SHE'S A FAMOUS PRINCESS AND ISNT EVEN HIDING HER NAME AND APPARENTLY FEM ROBIN HOOD FINDS OUT ABOUT HER AND REALISES OH HEY MAYBE ROYALS ARENT LAZY GOOD FOR NOTHINGS AFTER ALL. WASNT THERE A SCENE FROM TWO EPISODES AGO WHERE THE ROYAL FAMILY WAS GIVING AWAY FREE GIFTS TO ALL THE PEASANT CHILDREN IN ENCHANCIA. WHERE DID SHE GET THIS PRECONCEPTION FROM? Hildegarde acts like an abusive bitch to her friend Clio but instead of Clio leaving her and finding a new group of friends, she forgives Hildegarde after one apology. Oh and before you ask, Hildegarde doesnt retain her lesson from this in later episodes. I feel so sorry for Clio. Especially since she has a lot of fun potential as a side character.

Summary: Your a 28 year old rookie or so they think who eventually gains the Second Devision Commander position. Marco is 33 since were skipping 10 years. (Im not good at math) Marco first talked with you like he does all rookies. At first no one has any clue you were a devil fruit user, you were such a sad soul crying silently or having a dead expression on all the time. Then Marco helped you out of being bullied after seeing how severe the bullying was getting, it was becoming torture. You then learned how to be the second commander of the Whitebeard pirates with Marcos help. Many years later while playing spin the bottle truth or dare both your feelings are revealed.

(N) POV

"..*speech*...... all right rookies line up to get your room key. If you loose it, then well throw you overboard! Hahaha thats all kids" you hear Pops say as your in line, these four guys cut you which you let them, saddened eyes dejected looking down. Little did you care for someone elses eyes on you.

~ After Getting Settled In Your Single Person Room Since Your A Female~

You go out but are pushed/bumped into by the four men.

"What are you doing over here all alone? Why not go drink and meet new people? Yoi" you turn to see the first devision commander Marco say with a ale mug in his hand. You reply

"Allright suit yourself I wont push you but if you need to talk im here Yoi" he says then walks off.

~The First Couple Nights Nothing Happened~

Then one night since you always suppress you devil fruit so others can touch you. After dinner after everyone left they stuffed you in a barrel and left you over night. In the morning you woke up early to hear someone by you saying.

"Odd, whered this barrel come from? Yoi" you hear obviously Marco from his speach pattern.

"......help....." you whisper but he seemed to have caught it because he opened the barrel to reveal you curled up inside. He helps you get out.

"What happened? Who did this to you?! Yoi" he asks and you just look down. He helps you out of the barrel. An involuntary tear running down your face. He bends down and softly wipes away your tear with his thumb.

"If others are bullying you come tell me. Its not right and we dont have room aboard the ship for troublemakers Yoi!" He explains as you just look down and nod another tear fallen.

"I have to start my shift, but feel free to come in to the medical office anytime to talk. I mean it (n) Yoi"

~Later That Night At Dinner In The Back~

"Come on doll, chug chug chug!" The leader of the four yells, voice getting lost in the crowd. Them holding onto your arms. Once their done spilling alcohol down your throat and all over you, you fall down on the floor in the puddle they made of alcohol.

"Oh shit she fell we should leave so no one notices" the leader says as you just lay there completely expressionless.

~After Dinner~

You were curled up partially hidden by sitting barrels but someone noticed you. You felt yourself being picked up and carried away. Once to said destination you hear.

"(n) I cant help if you dont tell me what the problem is or in this case who the problems are. I know theres more than one of them. Is it three or four of them? Yoi" the commander asks.

"Of course Yoi" he says with a big smile as he turns off the lights then you hear him exit the office and lock the building. You drift of to sleep on your med bed.

~Months Later~

Everytime something happens you have to visit Marco, who has been getting more and more suspicious of certain men. Their bullying has been getting worse and worse but just so they dont get caught, but they went to far this time.

When everyone was asleep, you thought you were alone on deck. When a bag went over your head, they stuffed a rag in your mouth and you felt yourself off the ground. Suddenly you feel a piercing pain go through your hands and then feet then stomach as you coughed on blood on the rag desperately trying to yell. Then they left but you still felt eyes on you as you passed out from pain. You awoke in the morning with an IV in your arm on a med bed. The heart beat monitor gave you away. Raising your head to see Marco walk from behind the wall, to your bedside. You just realized your eyes have betrayed your tears overflowing falling hard from your face. The first devision commander gave you a tissue.

"(N) this has been going on for months tell me whose doing this to you Yoi!" Marco lost his cool for a moment then readjusted himself.

"(N) please for your sake and mine please just tell me who they are Yoi" he says softly and holds your cold hand warming you up. Everything youve bottled up came crashing down. Through tears you say

"What do you mean you deserve all of that? No one deserves what youve been through! Yoi" he replys taking off his glasses pinching the bridge of his nose, then putting his glasses back on.

"Sobbing you speak through your sobs.

"I killed my ....parents when I..... was very young.... I pieced it ....together. I couldnt control it..... their dead because....of ...me" you full on ugly cry sitting up Marco undoes all your IVs and wires and rubs your back. Hes on his rolling chair and transforms into hybrid form pulling you onto his lap hugging you as you cry it all out.

"Sounds like youve been surpressing you devil fruit for a long time Yoi"

"What did they do to me this time? I passed out from the pain..." you question him as he replys.

"They crucified you to the sail pole. To be honest I was scared they nailed you with sea prism nails and one through the stomach. I didnt think youd make it but your natural powers happened and regenerated yourself when you were asleep. Yoi" Once done crying you look up at Marco.

"Do I deserve to live after something like what I did?" You tear up but are quiet now.

"Of course you deserve to live! Find your own happiness. It sounds like an accident you couldnt help it or control your powers. Where are you from? What have you been doing this whole time with your life? Yoi?" He asks rambling.

"I just feel like I deserve it..... Im from Skypeia.... I had a angry phase so.... id destroy islands. The world government wants me dead only. Heres my bounty" you pull out a paper from your shirt and give it to him as he transforms into human.

Well have to keep your bounty hidden from the rest of everyone. Now that thats decided what to do with these traitors hmmm. (N) since they did you wrong so harshly what do you recommend?" Pops asks.

The first commander unchains them as they talk more shit, your expression changes from expressionless to pure anger as you reach out encapsulating the three in balls of lightning as you go up to their leader. Suddenly the sky darkens very quickly with thunder and lightning. Summoning a huge lightning bolt you grab Riko by his collar and pick him up you stab him through the mouth into his stomach as the lightning dissapears all thats left is ashes. You drop him causing him to shatter and disperses.

"Oops my bad" You feign ignorance. Now the other three are scared as hell.

"Have mercy!!"

"Ahhh no!!!"

"Help anyone!!!"

You let them go as they jumped over board you make the sea an electric barrier so they cant drown. Then you step on the railing smile at Marco which leaves a blush on him, and fall off not seeing Pops and Marco, them of which walked to the edge to see what you would do. You walk on the electric water as the men scream out in absolute pain as you yell.

"Heavenly Electric Rain!" As all around the Moby Dick is surrounded by electricity then a loud *BOOM!* is heard as the circle of lightning goes outward until Pops and Marco and others on deck see whats going on. You bring your hands down as the water vibrates then explodes as you raise yourself up to the railing now with electricity on your feet hovering. A crowds gathered as you point outward the circle explodes in a radius outward in all water killing anything in it. After the lightning went to the horizon exploding all the water like a tsunami of water and electricity in a circle around the Moby Dick going outward. Everyones mouths agape. You raised your arms spreading the sky to reveal the sun and a cloudless sky. As you float on electricity over the railing and hop down on deck. With tears in your eyes.

"Child you are strong no question about it you deserve your rank. We will announce it at dinner. And Marco show her to her new room. Thats all for now." Pops says smirking. You walk with Marco to your room which you just mainly had clothes, shoes and money. Your tears stopped. He helped you pick up everything and move to the second commanders room which Marco gave you the key for.

"I dont think anyone had any idea you were that powerful. Why didnt you ever fight back little bird? Yoi"

"Because I thought I deserved the pain and torment for what ive done..but I see now how things should really be because of you" Marco and you make eye contact and you blush while he smiles wide with a twinge of red on his face.

~At Dinner~

"Listen up everyone! We have filled the Second Commanders position say hello to (N)D.(L)!" Pops yells as everyone cheers and murmurs what happened eariler. You stand, smile softly and wave then sit back beside Marco and Izo who was beside Marcos other side. You, Marco and Izo chat, eat, and you drink water. As the night grows the first commander bends down to your ear and whispers.

"You wont have anymore problems, I promise Yoi" and that makes you genuinely smile up at him making him blush, him drinking to hide his blush.

"Thank you Marco I owe you" you playfully nudge his arm lightly as he smiles wide at you.

~One Year Later~

You and the First Devision Commander have grown quite close over the year of him teaching you your position. He calls you little or baby bird as a term of endearment but not to anyone else and you call him big bird he is more protective of you now than before too. You have been going on missions bringing back tons of gold. Pops is mighty impressed by you, the used to be wordless, emotionless woman now your bright and cheerful and he knows too its because of Marco. When Marcos birthday came round you got him the rarest gem of Sapphire with flecks of yellow and red in it. You dont know what he did with it but you gave it to him regardless. Youve decided to get him something ever year from now on. You let it slip to Thatch that you really like like Marco then the whole crew knew except for Marco. They knew youd kill them if anyone spoke a word. Only Thatch knew how Marco felt about you. But eventually he let that slip too. But no ones told you or Marco anything. No one knew your birthday even though everyone would ask you and try and figure it out. Ace is in your second devision squad. You and Marco always spend your off days together.

"Youve really gotten the hang of it little bird! Yoi" he exclaimed and petted your head, in your office. Going through your papers as you watch he applauds you again.

"Good job (n) now you dont need me anymore Yoi" your mouth agape with a sad expression.

I can also try OCs--I used to write several tbh, and Drake has had a lovely relationship with @bucketfullofocs Aya before I was lured away to Pokemon Fandom and gave Drake a break cause we didn't see him for a long time. I've even dabbed a pinky into Drake and Corazon (a Still Lived Corazon AU I think) and the possibility was surprisingly nice. I would say It's called: Free fall, just because I did let a lot open to interpretation, I think all my fics have a closed ending or something that lets you know I will go back to them. This one is very much open, None of us knows what happened to Toto, and I'm not sure if i was obvious enough highlighting that Lewis was god. Aside from that maybe Honey please try to love me as it is an unfinished work that started and ended with a break up

One thing that has always annoyed me about the fandom is this whole.. standby lesbians thing with rosemary. This has been said so many times before but I'm saying it again cause it's STILL annoying and people still do it so like. . Often they're just sort of. Being there. In the background of other(mostly MLM) ships, serving as this prop. Like when people draw davekat/dirkjake/pepsicola/etc they're always doing something like talking or cuddling or shopping or it's like a shitpost about divorce or something or whatever. But very often when i see rosemary it's like. They're just eerily standing next to one another and smiling. Like almost the entire fandom agrees that it's a good ship, but literally no one actually wishes to understand their personalities or their bond beyond that. It's just. Prim and proper lesbian rep to fill in the gaps. Much of their tags on social media are filled with this very bland fanon version of them, and very often it's accompanied by a different, more characterized ship as the main focus of the post. They're just kinda there to sit still and look pretty. Like I've seen people crackship yaoi just for the sake of yaoi and call it the ship of the century but the same group would tell you that rosemary is boring because uhhhhh smart words and uhh girl read book. The ao3 tag is also atrocious. I need to break my neck to find good content for one of the only canon pairings in HS 💀

sadly this doesn’t just happen in homestuck, this happens in almost every fandom. and then ppl ask why sapphic creators are so LOUD???. someone has to provide the actually accurate awesome stuff… it’s so funny because whenever i read a wlw fic with an mlm side pairing they still do them justice… i feel like a wlw fic author will drop the best interpretations of mlm couples and then an mlm fic writer will just like make the background wlw characters sit there and do nothing most of the time.

but that might just be me tbh idk i don’t keep track of every thing i read. i dont really understand why every single fandom has this weird imbedded mysogeny its like i can’t find any content of ships i like without them being either objectified or simplified yk. i also have beef with the fact that there is NOT!! ENOUGH!! well written PLATONIC dynamics ever like that’s the most fun thing to me like i actually need dave and kanaya duo content desperately.

i feel like a lot of authors lack the crucial understanding that everyone is always going through something. when characters aren’t in a certain scene they’re still doing something in the story. like where is the background tea. where is the nasty deets. things dont always happen in a linear clear perfect way like i think while dave is figuring out what touches are in which quadrants we should have rose and kanaya start gaslighting karkat into believing he is made of earth crab. let rose fake her own death with kanaya and have terezi conduct a case while davekat suck face yk. we’re all a little silly
