I just started reading this beautiful edition of Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne and I'm enjoying it a lot so far but Phileas Fogg... I know what you are... autistic.
This man has a rigid routine that never deviates day to day, even down to the minute; he goes to a social club each day but dines alone and never talks to strangers and perhaps best of all, he fired his butler for getting the temperature of his shaving water wrong by TWO DEGREES.
Honestly it must've been quite nice to be a rich autistic man in the nineteenth century because you could just pay people to accommodate your habits and would be seen as 'eccentric.'
