In the world of Vedic astrologers, there is a lot of remark about how in the age of the internet, rapid technological advancements, idols, overstimulation, 'fake news', and trend cycles as fast as lightning, we are living in times very influenced by nodal energy. Or at least, nodal (particularly Rahuvian) aspects of reality are increasingly 'in your face', accessible... If we take the concept of trends to be a very nodal phenomena for instance: throughout most of history, trends were not something you could observe so blatantly the way we do now.
A 'trend' was more likely to last an entire generation, and without the constant access to the past, present and future of the entire world that the internet now provides, you wouldn't even realise it's a trend. One would simply consider it 'normal'. People were not as aware of what the 'elites' are up to, what happens in other countries, mass information leakage etc. you are busy carrying your own burdens, and reaping your own joys, in your own bubble.
In older times, it's as simple as- the life you're born into is the life you focus on & work on UNLESS you are in a position of power (Solar energy) & therefore dealing more with the people at large & distant lands. Even still, your main focus is on your own kingdom/village/tribe. The average person is not going to really know what's going on in faraway places the way we now do. Sure, this nodal, constant consumption element of reality still existed, but it was less 'in your face'.
These days we have our 'black mirrors' (phones, laptops, etc) and they exist as a portal into- anywhere we desire. Lives & realities that don't even necessarily relate to our own. The need to be consciously aware of this is crucial in order to find the balance necessary.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Currently, everything is moving so fast, and there are constant forms of stimulation, movement, illusions and streams of consciousness to get lost in. So many rabbit holes to fall down without you even realising it that will drain & alienate you from your Solar energy.
Getting lost in trends and the lives of other people that in the physical realm, do not directly touch your own life, can be extremely draining to us. In an abstract way, this gives us insight into why it is that so many people feel depressed- lost, like the world is grey... there is constant fog, smoke & mirrors attempting to block our internal Sun, our personal unique destiny & divinity.
Ironically, I tend to think that the reason we're collectively so divided & lonely lately (there's many reasons, but in the way of esoteric takes), is the lack of Solar energy. People talk about how this society is missing the honouring of feminine (Lunar) energy, which is true- but only because of the lack of healthy Solar energy to support it.
I mean, a material manifestation of this is the.. beyond concerning (and somehow, rarely talked about?) statistics on the sperm count dropping. According to various scientific studies, we're looking at roughly a 50% decrease over 50 years... that's just- wow.
Another of many material manifestations of the way true Solar energy is becoming rarer/obscured: lately, the average suburban city is removing structures (Solar) & facilities people usually go to socialise and have fun- bars, clubs, cinemas, skate parks, venues hosting of events & festivals. Yes, the actual social aspect is more of a Lunar energy, but the Solar aspects (ie. the structures, the organised events, the provided food, etc) are the container for that Lunar energy to fall upon. For socialisation, intimacy, raw emotion & connection to exist healthily, we need some kind of structure, some Solar goodness to go off of so we're not just- floating entities in space talking to other floating entities in space about nothing in particular.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, Solar energy speaks of individuality, paving your own path, ego, sense of self- but here's the thing. If we lack sense of self, how can we connect with people? How can we feel unity if there's no 'self' in the first place? How can we connect and share with people if we feel we have nothing to offer and we're all regurgitating the same stuff- there's no reason to talk or connect if everybody seems to be just.. lacking substance, robotic, or a void
Solar energy is our ego, our happiness, our light. It represents that substance. Someone speaking from a place of Solar light is tapping into a place of authenticity & experience, whereas when we are lost in nodal energies; we are moreso becoming a conduit for other people's ideas and thoughts we've heard about, forgetting our own footing in reality.
I feel like- no, I've seen- time and time again how this current society can delude us into believing that the way to leave your mark on the world & make the world a better place, is to get lost in others. To always be in the know, informed and on trend when it comes to everything outside of yourself. It feels like we are being taught that if we aren't carrying the weight of the whooole world on our shoulders, we are selfish or living under a rock.
On the one hand, it is definitely important that we have some sort of a spiritual awareness of what's going on in the lives of others (be it friends, relatives, or people in other countries) but on the other hand, this constant focus on other people takes away from you having the chance to make a true difference and BE a beacon of light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes I see something dark on the news, very dark.. I'm in tears, I'm anxious, I'm asking the heavens why these things happen... how is it fair? I'm praying, I'm sucked in and can't look away from what I'm seeing because it feels like I have a duty to at least witness the suffering if others have to go through it. There have been times it's just debilitated me; until I realised something-
I am worth more to the world, the people suffering included, by focusing on fostering beauty, joy & goodness in my own life. I'm not helping the world by crying in my bed unable to feed or take care of myself because I'm distraught about something I saw on my phone. It's only impairing my ability to remain in a high vibrational state that I can create & share with the world from. People who truly make a difference are often the ones who either innately embody or have cultivated a very Solar nature- 'water off a ducks back'. It shouldn't be about ignoring or suppressing emotions, so much as using emotion wisely.
This doesn't mean it is best to completely ignore the world or be cold or 'heartless', but moreso that you need to be holding a torch for yourself in order to even begin to light the way for others. Those who are suffering generally do not want others to suffer for them (especially if they can't physically do anything to help)- that only creates... more suffering. I know in times of my own suffering, not once did I think 'damn, I wish someone was as sad and destitute as me' lol
I thought 'man, I really would love to be around people & circumstances that are positive, uplifting & nourishing so that I can feel that warmth again'.
If every single person in the world was utterly debilitated and absorbed in other realities, other people's lives, neglecting their own 'karma' & their own blessings, who would be there for people to look to for hope? Who would be the blueprint for what happiness actually looks like? In a world without strong, solar entities, who can those who are suffering look up to to imagine a better life?
Fill your own cup first!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes the best thing you can do for the world, is to manifest your own beautiful, magical, pure life- whatever that means for YOU. Build your own foundation so that you can be an inspiration & comfort for those who need it, while being stable and strong within your own being.
A lighthouse doesn't go out to sea and get into the storm with the ships. It doesn't go chasing the ships down to save them. It simply stays where it is, strong, radiating light and indiscriminate- unconcerned with who 'gets' the light. Trusting that the universe is working its magic and the right people are benefiting from your radiance. That is what staying true to yourself & your own unique destiny looks like.
I see too many people (myself included, but working on it..) with bleeding hearts. Completely lost and overwhelmed by the struggles, thoughts, opinions, beliefs & chaos of others, feeling as though they can't just sit and watch, they have to do something about it. Or if they can't do something about it, they have to at least feel it, delve into all that emotion. Instead of being the lighthouse and realising that nurturing yourself = raising the vibration of the world, which = one more person living in truth & happiness for others to look up to- they are missing that opportunity and becoming drained/psychologically in pain.
Do what makes you happy. It's so simple, yet so.. not! It's a skill, and it takes discipline & sometimes what feels like active rebellion in order to refrain from abandoning yourself and getting lost in something or someone else; whether that thing is positive or negative... 🌸
Very long story short - the most helpful gift you can give to the world, is your joy & faith in your own destiny.
To anyone who read all this, have a beautiful day and if you can, go do something fun lol, or create something ♡
note: I just want to make sure it's clear that I'm not saying nodes = bad & Sun = good or anything like that! Every planet, every celestial force plays an important role in life on Earth and the nodes have their own magic too. This post is just talking about the importance of staying in touch with your Solar light rather than getting completely and utterly lost in the pull of the nodes. I also want to add that of course sometimes there are unique occasions, where plunging into the darkness with somebody else is exactly what you need to do- but if that's the case, that'll be a part of your 'destiny', so even still you will be embodying your light if that makes sense. Never abandon your light.

Why do "conservatives" love the middle ages so much?
Tumblr media
Let me talk about this one topic regarding the middle ages and how they are portrayed in pop culture, but especially how a certain subset of people are very, very loud about it. And I with that I mean conservatives, or - let's be honest - right wingers.
We all know "sword guys", right? As someone, who was for a time part of the LARP scene, I knew actually several "sword guys". Like, nerds that collect sword replicas, at times even armor replica and then spend their weekends running around and playing "medieval knight".
In of itself this is not a problem. Everyone needs a hobby, right? But... I think that sword guys are actually a good window into what is happening the entire thing with the conservatives/right-wingers and the middle ages.
See, whenever anything medieval related is released anywhere - no matter whether it is pseudo-historic or outright fantasy - there is gonna be a wholeass army of nerds who will then come along and decry all sorts of stuff that they do not like as "ahistorical".
You know. Stuff like women getting shit done, or being in a position of power. Queer people existing. Or people of color doing the same: existing.
And yes, in fact there is a whole subset of "nerds", who are very vocal about what can only be described a "mythic past". As in, a past that has never existed. This is not really a new phenomena. This is something that mostly has its origin in 19th century Europe and it is called Medievalism.
I am not really interested in going into the origins of medievalism and how it is connected partly to the romantic movement. All you need to know is, that the Nazis were really, really into it - as were other fascist movements in medieval Europe.
There is a reason for this, of course. And this is linked to one of the cores of rightwing mythologies: A very toxic nostalgia and the idealization of that mythic past. Which is, ironically, also closely linked to capitalism.
Let me explain: A core part of both conservatism and ideas that are even further right are based on the idea that they want to either conserve a status quo - or more likely return to a past status-quo. And this is something that became more attractive specifically to a certain subsect of men under capitalism.
Under capitalism most people kinda feel alienated from their work and even society. Because most people feel like there is not much use in what they do and their work is not valued in all the important ways. And let me be clear: This is true. And this was true from the very beginning of capitalism. The working class is exploited, was exploited and always will be exploited.
This is also one of the core reasons for why right wing ideologies are so attractive to certain people is, that they give them an easy scapegoat in all the minorities they are blaming for... everything. "No, the problem that you are exploited is not capitalism, it is a Jewish conspiracy!" - "No, the reason you feel so alienated is not capitalism, it is 'the woke mob'." And so on.
And here is where medievalism comes in. Because it provides these people with a fantasy for them. A time where all was right (from their point of view) and where they would have been honored and could have been heroes. A time when they would have been knights and would have saved their distressed damsel. A time at which the gays were hung or burned, in which there was no feminism and of course Black people did not yet exist.
Of course, the reality is that in the medieval times they would not have been a heroic knight, but a peasant working on the field or - if lucky - maybe a tradesman. They might have been called in to fight, but it would have been a rather miserable and not at all heroic affair.
But they want that fantasy of that past in which all of the problems, they perceive in the present, have not existed. A past, in which they would have been seen as more valuable than capitalism sees them. In which they would have been honored just for being white guys.
This is a past, that never existed. But they want to believe in it - because right wing ideologies of course do not offer them any actual solutions for their problem. Because again: Their actual problem is capitalism, and right wing propaganda exists precisely to distract from this fact.

HOW HAZEL REPRESENTS BLACK GIRLHOOD
Being ostracized, the society Hazel was living in was cruel to black girls (still is) but we see how hazel's powers negatively affect her life hazel doesn't have any friends besides sammy, kids bully her many black girls feel ostracized in their communities, movements (white feminism, and misogynoir in historical black movements) here's an article that talks about black women feeling ignored in social justice movements https://www.apa.org/news/press/releases/2020/07/black-women-social-justice
2. Hazel & Her Mother
Hazel's mother plays a huge role in her life and SON her actions led her to freeing alcyoneus and she is also responsible for her curse. Hazel and her mother is something a lot of black girls can relate to, Hazel has a complicated relationship with her mother her mother is responsible for her death but regardless Hazel still loves her I want to mention this genius article right here that articulates what it's like growing up with a black mother https://therealarah.medium.com/the-strained-relationship-between-black-mothers-and-their-daughters-cc9673cd403f Hazel's mother does exploit her position as a mother ( using Hazel's curse in order to live more comfortably which is understandable considering that they were living in poverty but I think somewhere in SON they mention that she wanted to live like a queen ) While Hazel's mother does try to make amends, me personally i still dont forgive her. I think hazel is a fascinated character and i wish rick had more understanding of black mother daughter relationships enough so we can see it more in hazel's character

Playful Land: thoughts and long overdue replies
Since we finally finished the event, I can finally share our thoughts about it! There are some asks related to it that we had in our ask box ever since the event first came out, and now I am finally coming back to them lol I hope at least some of the Anons are still interested in what we have to say.
I’m skipping everything with headcanons for now; I haven’t written those yet… but it’s likely going to be another big masterpost, so please bear with me. Thank you for your patience!
In short: we enjoyed the event very much. Now, let’s dive into details…
Anonymous asked:
Hey Ryu and Katsu, did you guys read the translation for the previous jp event 'Playful Land'? I haven't seen you guys talk about it or mention it, so i'm curious to hear your thoughts and opinions on this event.
personally, i enjoyed most of the event ( sadly same could be said about the the rushed ending though ;-; ) But it's mind-blowing cuz the event is basically human trafficking! Turning people into dolls and selling them off so they can serve as tools?! hello?! This is basically falling into the Black Butler territory lol (But i heard rumours that Yana wasn't involved in this event and a few previous ones apparently?). But then we also had funny moments like Jade force-feeding Floyd is so funny!
Also, what do you guys think of the two new characters? Fellow and Gidel. I swear Gidel looks almost identical to cheka :'DD
Anon! You’ve mentioned Yana’s involvement briefly, but I’ll come back to this point later in this post. But still, I’ll start off by saying that it really does have very strong Yana vibes because of the themes of the event, I am very surprised they went that dark. One of the biggest takeaways for us is that TWST has a lobby of people that exists in-universe and is SO POWERFUL that they can not only continuously support their human trafficking chain AND kidnap not just some random kids, but also someone as famous and of high pedigree as the likes of Vil, Kalim, and Leona. The implication that there is nothing they can do to get Fellow’s bosses in trouble is truly chilling. I love it when TWST gets creepy and grim like that, even though I really wanted the boys to get donkied… please, at least give Ace some donkey ears…!
And yes, just like you said, it had this nice balance of uncanny/creepy and funny. A lot of unexpected punchlines, a lot of “wow, this is dark”, I really love this contrast and the event played very nicely with it.
I’ll also talk about the characters later in this post, but I’ll note that there were a lot of fun and unexpected interactions lol Speaking of interactions, I also loved that we got to spend more time with Fellow and Gidel than we did with Rollo. I don’t think this is necessarily an improvement because Rollo’s event had different vibes and story, and it made sense for him to stay “hidden”; but the fact that as all the boys from this event got “eliminated”, they had to wait with Fellow and got to bicker with him is priceless. I really loved it because not only we get to see more of these nasty brats insulting our poor foxman, we got to see more of our poor foxman and his loyal catboy in general. This is a good thing.
So yeah, to answer your question about Fellow and Gidel! We loved them much more than we anticipated.
Gidel does look somewhat similar to Cheka lol, but at the same time, both Fellow and he have such distinct and unique oldschool animation vibes that I really love. Their designs and sprite movements and expressions are amazing overall, looking at them was very enjoyable.
FELLOW’S ENTIRE BEING!!! HIS ATTITUDE!!! HIS FAKE-ASS FACE!!! I love that he is so unbelievably shady that the senpais got disappointed in the boys for trusting this guy lol and yet, still kind of got somewhat charmed by him. Fellow knows what he is doing and damn it feels good to have a character who fails miserably against our horrible NRC boys, but is also cunning enough to cause trouble. He flip-flops between being a pathetic adult who got beat up by a bunch of kids (+Lilia) and being someone who manages to outsmart the boys because they just aren’t used to his brand of “desperate and shady”. What a smart bimbo lol the fact that we never beat him, too…
I keep bringing up Rollo, but at this point we have two characters that hold a deep grudge against the magic users and the society in general, and I find it very interesting. Mostly because of how different they are… I won’t dive into this thought now because honestly, it’ll make this already long post even longer.
But damn, the characters themselves. Their interactions with each other, the implied closeness to each other, the fact that the two of them are a unit with such a deep bond that Fellow can pretty much read Gidel’s mind. I feel like there is so much for of them that we could learn….
So yeah, my only grievance is that we didn’t get enough of them and I miss them already, but I feel like we’ll get a vignette of them just as we did with Rollo, so maybe it’ll fill the Fellow-and-Gidel-shaped hole in my heart.
I also wanted to mention that their fighting style is interesting. As you might know, we don’t play the game, but still love it when they don’t cut out the fight parts, and this is exactly why: Fellow doesn’t really attack himself, he just casts Gidel who hammers away?? And then Fellow still takes all the damage himself. I think it’s pretty unique and fun.
Hmm, what else. The song is cute. It ain’t a Make a Wish, but I don’t know if it’s fair to compare the two because of how different they are.
Alright, moving on.
Anonymous asked:
Yana said on her twi that she and the team worked on the base scenario and rough story beats but nothing about the actual writing. A lot of the characters act odd in this event (Kalim lost three years worth of development, Vil became a slacker, and just about everyone lost any brain they had, also Jade actively tried to hurt Floyd for no reason) which seems to support this idea.
When it comes to Yana’s involvement, I might be mistaken, but as far as I could make out, this is pretty much the level of her involvement with the events (at least these days), isn’t it? I tried to look through her twitter, and here is what she said about this event (rough google translation):
Our company was in charge of character design, costume design, scenario, card art direction, background art, and OPED storyboards and art.
And here is what she said about Glorious Masquerade:
Character design; Scenario draft; SSR cards art (sketch and finish); Toboso was also in charge of directing all other card art; Costume and mask settings Background art settings; Our company is in charge of the opening and ending storyboards and art.
So, character design – check, costume design – check, scenario (draft) – check, card art direction, background art, OPED storyboard and art – check. The only thing that Yana’s team did for Glorious Masquerade that they didn’t do this year is that she didn’t draw the SSR cards.
I feel like she didn’t talk about Playful Land as much as she did about Glorious Masquerade, but it was just a feeling that I got, it isn’t an objective measurement of her involvement.
So yeah, Yana didn’t write those lines herself, but I don’t know if she does it for events at all. Whether we should consider things that didn’t come from her brain directly canon or not is also a whole different topic, and we are very opinionated when it comes to that (you might know that we don’t read any additional material that had no involvement from her at all).
Still, the event didn’t feel as off as I thought it would after reading your ask. I did try to see your point and was ready to see some OOC scenes and dialogues, but… overall it was good? And for some characters, even really fucking great?
I’ll go through the list of things that you’ve mentioned.
I am not sure what you mean when you talk about Jade actively trying to hurt Floyd for no reason, but I assume it’s the popcorn scene because I don’t remember any other occasion of him doing so. And even then, it doesn’t really feel like him trying to hurt Floyd? He was being a nasty sibling trying to bother Floyd, which is not only a very sibling thing to do, but also a very Jade thing to do; Jade’s entire motivation to go to the Playful Land was to enjoy the chaos of it all, so it makes sense that he was feeling extra naughty and playful. And Floyd’s reaction clearly indicates that this is just a “uhhhh you’re being annoying” situation, and he is very used to it. Am I missing some crucial scene in which Jade tried to hurt Floyd? Did he shove him off the ferries wheel while I wasn’t looking? I am genuinely confused.
I’ll say it about every boy you’ve mentioned in your ask, but still: I loved the tweels characterisation in the event. Especially Jade because we don’t get to see him having so much fun at other’s expense openly very often, and this is exactly Jade’s brand of fun: to enjoy watching people in uncomfortable situations: Floyd being force-fed, Vil and Floyd losing to Ortho, Vil struggling with cute merch… and all of it backfired greatly for Jade in Vil’s vignette, which is *chef’s kiss*
Overall, Jade was being nasty the entire time, and Floyd was very Floyd-like too, driven by his own fun only, eager to punch as many puppets as he could and ruining Fellow’s day as much as he could before going down. They had to put a bag over his head so he wouldn’t bite them anymore… peak Floyd behaviour…
I also don’t think Vil was necessarily being a slacker. This specific cast had to be a part of the event, and I think they did a good job at making it somewhat believable: everyone had their own reasons to go (knowing for a fact that Ortho is way too stubborn not to go and going to at least make sure he isn’t getting in trouble sounds like a Vil-like reason to go), plus Fellow’s unique magic played a big role in the boys being so uncharacteristically relaxed. Yeah, you still have to suspend some disbelief with some of the boys for the sake of this event’s premise working, but it’s pretty self-aware about that.
But also? I kind of very like it when Vil is not super uptight? And I really appreciate the fact that Vil had a bunch of silly moments + his entire interaction with the main trio of boys was very good. He is still the mature one, he is still one of the strongest ones, he is still a leader and he is still very caring for Ortho and the rest.
And Kalim, well… I kind of loved him the most in the event..? I feel like it highlighted him pretty nicely.
Let’s be super blunt here: Kalim didn’t have 3 years worth of development. He had some development during and after his and Jamil’s book, but it didn’t end up changing much about him. This isn’t a bad thing, this is still a part of his character’s trajectory, it’s just that you don’t change that trajectory radically after one event, even if it’s as drastic as overblot of someone who is very dear to him. Even though Kalim promised that he would punch Jamil for being “a bad guy”, he never ended up doing that; instead he asked the rest of the Scarabia boys to trust him and don’t treat Jamil as a traitor. One of Kalim’s most important character traits is that while he is very detached from the reality of regular people and has no idea about what they’re going through which leads to him being insensitive at times (something that he did a couple of times during the event btw, he really had no idea why Fellow got so insulted over his comments about money…), he has a huge heart and always wants to treat others with kindness. If you give the bad guy a chance, he might realise the error of his ways – this is like core value for Kalim. This is why he is such a good contrast to both Ortho and Ace, who are very willing to tear Fellow’s ass apart, and this is why it made perfect sense that he would be one of the stars of the event. He is also pretty stubborn despite being so good-natured, and this is always typical Kalim: you WILL be his friend, whether you like it or not. Kalim’s not a villain and he got transferred to NRC only because of Jamil, not because it fits his personality.
And if you’re talking about him skipping school, then… I don’t remember any Kalim development addressing this side of his? He doesn’t like studying, and this is a constant for him lol BUT!
What is interesting and what does feel like a development (or rather an expansion of his characters that we didn’t previously know of) is how despite his principles and the fact that he doesn’t want to get violent, he is willing to attack Fellow directly if it means protecting Ace and Ortho. I haven’t seen every single piece of Kalim lore (i.e. vignettes and other events with him), but it was very fun to see Kalim-the-older-brother and to realise that this is how he sees his kohais. This doesn’t mean that he is a great protector, he kind of screwed up at the end lol but the fact itself shows how big his heart is, and honestly, even though I love every single nasty guy from NRC, I think Kalim being so stubbornly and unapologetically good is his strongest point. And it doesn’t ruin anything about his character.
Once again, I am not sure what exactly you meant by Kalim losing years worth of development, but these are some of my thoughts. Once again, you are  entitled to your own opinion. I am just sharing mine: I think this event had good character writing, and I didn’t even hate Leona all that much this time, which is a huge deal for me lol
Overall, this was a very good event. It ended kind of abruptly, but pretty much every event does that + some of the vignettes helped to add some of the info that felt like it was missing… which is exactly what also happened to Glorious Masquerade.
We had a lot of fun with it, it’s great. Really made us remember just how much we love these boys and their shenanigans.

WonderPre ep 2 watched and oh man I love Iroha!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Couple things we learned: Komugi's ribbon has a new symbol on it, definitely to indicate her powers as a Precure. AND: the doggo now speaks in her dog form asfjhghsfkjf.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also learned that Komugi was a rescued dog per say? Stray one? Like, Komugi found her all alone and scared, and took her to vetetarian? And slowly gained her trust but showing Komugi kindness and patience. Really, it truly made me adore Iroha, and understand why Komugi loves Iroha so.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mayu also visited Iroha's family... store? I need to recheck what Iroha's family occupation was again, haha. But like, she found an accessory tha really fits Yuki. And, as Iroha's father pointed out: she clearly loves Yuki. Also, confirmed she's around same age as Iroha and Satoru.
Tumblr media
Now, relating to Daifuku's backside... he indeed does not have a heart shape. Which makes me wonder what the point of the heart on both Komugi and Yuki's backhead is. As I would have assumed Daifuku to have one too.
Tumblr media
Also, Iroha's dream reminds me too much of usual Pokémon protag dreams askfjhsfjfsskjff. Very wonderful (cough) dream of her!
Tumblr media
Soo, Iroha was told to not tell anyone about Precures and Garugarus (that was actually named by Komugi. Not not an official name per say), but she really, really want to tell Satoru. Because she knows he could be of help. And the next bit is what made me really like Satoru too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bad screenshot timing but, he basically apologized for putting unneeded pressure on Iroha about the weird black colored creatures rumored to have appeared. Like, of course he wants to know, but he also clearly realises Iroha cannot tell him. At least yet. And he also assures that if she ever feels trouble, she can tell him. This is very sweet of him and I already can tell I'm gonna adore Iroha and Satoru dynamic.
Tumblr media
Now, about Iroha's henshin to Cure Friendy: I thought it was way better than Komugi's. As in, the choreograph or however you wanna call the movement and happenings on the scene felt way more interesting and more fun to animate. Komugi felt a bit.... stiff? Not stiff as in bad animation but stiff in that, it was good animation but not a lot happened on the screen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like these parts are so darn lively with Iroha! And the transformation parts itself were so goooood, I really adore her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think she has a strong chance of joining my fav cures list as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND, we got the usual "omg what is happening" scenario from her! Thou instead of high jumps it's high speed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y'know, the way her approach to helping the Garugaru is talking to it and introducing herself and keeping a calm, friendly voice of genuine wanting of helping is really adorable of her, and while it does seem like that, for now, the battles are more about helping the Garugaru to calm down, I'm liking this fresh change of battling. I'm sure that, once we get to know the truth behind garugaru's, things will change.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next week, we'll be visiting Niko Garden and and I would assume that it is also when Satoru is clued in on everything, as he is finding the garugaru egg first before the girls this time around. Also, this garugaru is definitely the bunny from the poster and opening. Look at the jewel, it's different from others. I'm excited!

Walt Whitman And His Window

It is 10:50AM on a recent Friday morning and I'm standing in front of the wooden-frame house at 330 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in Camden, New Jersey.
It's not as hot as you might think it'd be on a late August day in this part of the United States, but it's hot enough for me.
This generally undistinguished home was Walt Whitman's last residence and the only home he owned outright. When Whitman moved in during the spring of 1884, he wrote his friend Anne Gilchrist and informed her "I have moved into a little old shanty of my own." He would live here until he passed away in the upstairs bedroom on March 26, 1892.
As I learn on my tour, Whitman was not exactly in the best of health in his later years. Whitman suffered a serious stroke in 1873 and was largely confined to his bed during most of his time living at this residence. He was fortunate enough to have several tenants assist him during these years, along with the almost constant companionship of Mary Davis, a nearby widow who moved in to assist him, bringing a veritable menagerie of pets with her.
Making our way through the home, the guide, a retired National Park Service Ranger, informs our tiny tour group that Whitman had to be brought up and down the stairs multiple times a day by Mary for different medical treatments. His one constant request was that he be brought downstairs so he could look out the parlor window to see the "constant cacophony of people going about their business"
As you probably know, there were no mobile apps during the 1880s.
If you wanted something, you had to physically go out and get it---a strenuous requirement, indeed.
For someone so closely associated with what I like to call "sensual pastoralism", I found it a bit unusual that Whitman in his later years ended up being a city mouse. Sure, he had lived in Brooklyn for years (the first proto-hipster?) but that was before the muscular era of exponential industrial urbanism had made Brooklyn look and feel the way it did when it was annexed to the rest of Zoo York City in 1898.
What Whitman experienced from his window is one of the joys that most people experience from the urban condition: the ability to see what people do in close proximity to each other with great frequency, dare I say WITH A MILLION DIFFERENT PERMUTATIONS.
His window onto what is now Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard was in fact, his literal window into this world.
To use a contemporary phrase to describe a past condition or state of being, Whitman was truly able to "age in place".
We should all be so lucky.
Some related odds and ends:
I've always loved the Caedmon Records poetry albums. This one features Ed Begley reading some of Whitman's works, including "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry"
Camden, like most older American cities, has been mightily transformed by a host of processes over the past 75 plus years (residential red-lining, middle class flight, racism, etc). This feature from the folks at Segregation by Design visualizes some of those changes.
A team of scholars continues to work on the Black Camden Oral History project which brings together some compelling interviews and other materials detailing the Black Power Movement at the Rutgers University-Camden campus and in the broader community.
I took the 401 bus from the Water Rand Transportation Center to try one of the (cheese) steaks at Donkey's Place about a mile and a half from the Whitman home. Hot shredded beef with American cheese never tasted so good, let me tell you. Sitting at the bar was the place to be as people drank Donkey shots (don't ask) and talked about heading to the (Jersey) shore later in the day.

Hi guys!
I’m going to be discussing more recent events that were caused by systemic racism before the Black Lives Matter Movement was created.
War on Drugs:
‘The War on Drugs’ is a saying used to talk about the government led initiative that aims to stop the illegal drug use, distribution and trade by dramatically increasing prison sentences for both drug users and dealers.
Background Information:
The rise of recreational drug use in the 60’s was probably a contributing factor to what led President Nixon’s focus on stopping some kinds of substance abuse but it’s not as simple at that. In June of 1971, Nixon declared a ‘War on Drugs’, stating that drug abuse was ‘public enemy number one.’ Nixon signed the Controlled Substance Act in 1970 helped officially classify and regulate dangerous drugs. Schedule 1 drugs are considered to be the most dangerous. Marijuana, LSD, Heroin, MDMA (ecstasy) and other drugs had this ranking.
“The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the anti war left and Black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalising both heavily, we could disrupt their meetings, and vilify them night after night on evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course, we did.” - John Ehrlichman (domestic policy chief) (1994, Harper Magazineh)
Nixon increased federal funding for drug control agencies and proposed strict measures, like mandatory prison sentences for drug related crimes. President Reagan in the 80’s reinforced and expanded upon Nixon’s Drug policies. He passed severe penalties for drug related crimes in Congress and state legislatures led to large spike in the prison population in relation to nonviolent drug related crimes. Congress passed the Anti Drug Abuse Act in 1986, which established mandatory minimum sentences for certain drugs.
It’s Affects:
The “War on Drugs” aimed to reduce drug use and help public safety however all it did was majorly contribute to the skyrocketing prison population. Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” campaign created a culture of public fear around drugs. Zero tolerance and mandatory minimums policies led to the growth of the US prison population. In 1972, 161 per 100,000 people were incarcerated, by 2007 the number had reached 767 per 100,000 and in 2021 the number had dropped slightly to 639 per 100,000 people. Even with that slight decrease the amount of people in prison is almost four times as high as it was fifty years ago.
46% of incarcerated Americans were convicted of drug related crimes and while 14% of the population is black, black people represent just over 38% of the prison population with higher proportions in some states. In 2019, officials noticed that 81% of those convicted of crack related offences were black. Many believe this is because of the disparity in sentencing guidelines between crack cocaine and powder cocaine and where powder cocaine is more associated with white populations.Five grams of crack cocaine trigger an automatic five year sentence where as it took five hundred grams to merit the same sentence. The result has left many in the black community“bared from a wide range of employment, educational, social security and other benefits”
Link to Theorist:
This links into the theorist Karl Max in that he had the view that law enforcement (among other institutions) only serve the people in power and that crime control and punishment is to sustain systems of oppression such as systematic racism.

I voted FDR in the poll because of well, the everything, and I was astonished to see how many people had chosen Nixon.
I know our education system is bad, but it was genuinely horrific to see all the other options in the single digits. For most of these people, the only bad thing they know about Nixon was watergate. I remember at least being taught about the internment camps in school, even if they neglected to mention who was president at the time.
FDR fancied himself king of America, and it's disheartening to know how few people realize how genuinely evil he was.
I mean, Nixon was on there mostly to prove that tumblr as a whole does not understand or remember history. Their knowledge of history comes from half-remembered public education, and from ahistorical and hysterical tumblr posts.
Don't get me wrong, Nixon did fucking suck.
He normalized trade relations with China, which ruined American manufacturing, sending countless American jobs overseas, and the rest of the world soon followed suit; that's why 90% of what you own is cheap and low-quality and made in China. Not to mention that the massive influx of foreign money is what led to the CCP being able to continue to prop itself up, when it otherwise would have collapsed under the weight of its own incompetence and inefficiency decades ago otherwise, like every other experiment with socialism inevitably does.
Then there's his taking America off of the gold standard, which permitted the massive expansion of the money supply, which led to the inflation of the 1970's, and all subsequent inflations, since the main safeguard and deterrent to inflationary monetary policy has been removed.
And then there's the incredibly underhanded tactics that he used to to get his political opposition: See, in spite all of his hatred for hippies and the Black Panthers, you can't ban ideologies or political movements. But, both groups tended to smoke marijuana. So what do you do? You stoke latent anti-Mexican sentiment in the American populace, and paint weed as a demon drug that makes people promiscuous and a danger to society. And once it was criminalized, well, now he had all the excuse he needed to crack down on certain groups who opposed him. He wasn't throwing them in jail for their ideology; he was throwing them in jail for the reefer! Totally different! The "War on Drugs" is total bullshit, and like all attempts at prohibition in this country, it just led to a greater amount of the "banned" item in increasing potency and availability, while creating a robust criminal underclass to supply the prohibited good.
And we can't forget that he ordered the bombing and invasion of Cambodia and Laos, two countries which had the misfortune of simply being next to Vietnam. He even ran on a platform of ending the war in Vietnam, and while the peace talks were already started by the time he was elected, it took four more years for America to finally withdraw from a war it had no business being involved with in the first place.
He weaponized the FBI and IRS against political enemies, keeping tabs on anyone that he thought was against him, spying on and even illegally wiretapping opponents. He, like so many others, tried to consolidate more and more power into the Executive branch of the government, outside the normal separation of powers. His election strategy was to openly court racists who were mad about desegregation.
And, of course, I'd be remiss if I forgot to mention Tricky Dick's Wet 'n' Wild Water Heist of 1967. Leave the water in the Reflecting Pool alone, man.

Wisteria Lodge pt 3
We return to the cautionary tale of Mr Scott Eccles who unknowingly spent the night with a Victorian Era catfish.
And also my quest to live in a fictional house, because it sounds pretty and apparently no longer has an owner.
A cold and melancholy walk of a couple of miles brought us to a high wooden gate, which opened into a gloomy avenue of chestnuts. The curved and shadowed drive led us to a low, dark house, pitch-black against a slate-coloured sky.
It's not at its best on rainy days, that's fine. It's very atmospheric and totally going for that witchy aesthetic. I can work with that.
“Well, sir, it's this lonely, silent house and the queer thing in the kitchen. Then when you tapped at the window I thought it had come again.” “That what had come again?” “The devil, sir, for all I know. It was at the window.”
And there are friendly neighbours checking in when things look weird. Aw, how nice of them.
Outside of the joke, I have an unpleasant suspicion that the 'devil' will be the cook and this is going to be retroactively racist. But Maybe it's Aloysius himself risen from the grave. Or not-grave as the case may be (the body was not recognisable, we can't assume).
"Lord, sir, what a face it was! I'll see it in my dreams. [...] It wasn't black, sir, nor was it white, nor any colour that I know but a kind of queer shade like clay with a splash of milk in it."
Yep. It's going to be the cook. Yep. OK then. Sometimes being proven right is wonderful, sometimes it's just...
Tumblr media
Odds and ends, some pipes, a few novels, two of them in Spanish, and old-fashioned pinfire revolver, and a guitar were among the personal property.
Well you can't trust a man who leaves his books and guitar behind.
And then I guess the racism intensifies? We're now in the realms of some sort of reference to... maybe a Victorian idea of a Voodoo-like culture/religion? I don't know much about that family of religions, but this seems like it would match the western portrayals I do know of animal sacrifice, burnt offerings kind of things. That leads me to believe we're probably not talking about mainland Spain, but one of the colonial territories. Caribbean, perhaps?
Puerto Rico's crest looks green and white, though their flag isn't, and they had a revolutionary movement going on in the late 19th century, it looks like. This could be related to that? Like I said, my knowledge of the history of Spain and its colonies is not exactly good.
“I must congratulate you, Inspector, on handling so distinctive and instructive a case. Your powers, if I may say so without offence, seem superior to your opportunities.”
High praise there from Holmes. We finally have a detective character who is being recognised as good at his job. I'm almost speechless.
Of course, he still decides that he wants to try solving the case on his own out of some sort of pride, which seems counter to actual good policing, but sure.
"I could tell by numerous subtle signs, which might have been lost upon anyone but myself, that Holmes was on a hot scent. As impassive as ever to the casual observer, there were none the less a subdued eagerness and suggestion of tension in his brightened eyes and brisker manner which assured me that the game was afoot."
Watson comparing Holmes to a hunting dog again, and once again delighting in his own ability to read his bff so well. Aww... they're so sweet sometimes.
I waited, therefore—but to my ever-deepening disappointment I waited in vain. Day succeeded day, and my friend took no step forward. One morning he spent in town, and I learned from a casual reference that he had visited the British Museum. Save for this one excursion, he spent his days in long and often solitary walks, or in chatting with a number of village gossips whose acquaintance he had cultivated.
Watson: Why isn't he doing anything?
Holmes: *researches things at the British Museum, does recon, and gathers witness statements from the locals*
Watson: He's not doing anything!
The Oxshott Mystery a solution Arrest of Supposed Assassin
Well, that's disappointing. Now I know it isn't an assassin at all.
But it doesn't seem like they think that Mr Garcia is still alive, although I'm holding out hope on that one. The Body. Wasn't. Recognisable. There are only two reasons to beat a person's face in like that and one is extreme rage, the other is to conceal the identity. They're currently going the racist route of calling the cook a 'savage' etc., trying to sell the vicious rage narrative, but I'm still not convinced. Baynes, don't give into the racism. Come on, man. You were doing so well.
Also, I love the word 'ambuscade'. I don't think I've seen it before. It's just another term for ambush, but still. It's a lot nicer.
“Really we must see Baynes at once,” cried Holmes, picking up his hat. “We will just catch him before he starts.”
So he's definitely got something wrong, but we already knew that because there's an entire half of this section and another section to go.
“I can't make the man out. He seems to be riding for a fall. Well, as he says, we must each try our own way and see what comes of it. But there's something in Inspector Baynes which I can't quite understand.”
Hmm... Does Baynes have a secret plan? Is he trying to draw out someone else by taking the cook prisoner? Lure someone into a false sense of security. He does seem several degrees more competent than the average law enforcement professional in these stories.
“We may put aside this idea of Baynes's that Garcia's servants were concerned in the matter. The proof of this lies in the fact that it was he who had arranged for the presence of Scott Eccles, which could only have been done for the purpose of an alibi. It was Garcia, then, who had an enterprise, and apparently a criminal enterprise, in hand that night in the course of which he met his death. I say ‘criminal’ because only a man with a criminal enterprise desires to establish an alibi."
He could have been in collusion with his servants, of course, but other than that, yes. Also, I'm pretty sure people want alibis for non-criminal things. Not good things, sure, but non-criminal things. Like sneaking out to a party or... playing a prank. idk.
“We can imagine that in the confusion of flight something precious, something which he could not bear to part with, had been left behind. That would explain his persistence, would it not?”
Should have had a bug-out bag. Clearly not prepper enough for a life of crime. Always have your most precious possessions on you, or located conveniently enough to grab and go. You've got to be smart about these things if you're going to go around doing politically motivated murders - or other crimes, I suppose.
"The other mansions belonged to prosaic and respectable people who live far aloof from romance. But Mr. Henderson, of High Gable, was by all accounts a curious man to whom curious adventures might befall. I concentrated my attention, therefore, upon him and his household."
Alas, Mr Hynes Hynes, we never got a chance to know you.
But also HA, Watson. And you thought he wasn't doing anything. What did you want him to do?
"the step of a deer and the air of an emperor"
That's one hell of a description.
The step of a deer you say?
Tumblr media
He's beauty, he's grace, he's falling on his face.
Also, the fact that their names are Henderson and Lucas.
I have to.
I have to.
Tumblr media
"Henderson has two children—girls of eleven and thirteen. Their governess is a Miss Burnet, an Englishwoman of forty or thereabouts."
Oh no... is this a kidnapping plot? In which case, I'm glad Mr Garcia died. If he is dead. it's looking more likely that he's dead, though, as nothing seems to have happened at the Henderson household. Or he wants everyone to think he's dead, at least. Kidnapping is a terrible thing to do. Why couldn't this have been a nice, clean assassination. There's no need to bring the children into it.
And I feel like the governess is probably involved, in which case the finger of shame points at her. Was she also seduced by Mr Garcia? Is he the Spanish bisexual James Bond of the Victorian era?
The emperor reference doesn't seem like it's being used lightly, and the emphasis on 'Henderson's' riches added to it. I'm thinking maybe foreign potentate in hiding? Deposed royalty in exile? Assassination is looking more likely, but also kidnapping is still a possibility. The directions could be directions to the nursery/children's bedroom.
"It was my system which enabled me to find John Warner, late gardener of High Gable, sacked in a moment of temper by his imperious employer."
There's the 'imperious' thing again. Definitely the air of some kind of royal in disguise going on. Also, I'm so used to servants who have been fired being suspects in these things, my brain immediately though he must have been in cahoots with Garcia, but apparently he is in cahoots with Holmes instead.
"They are very violent. Twice Henderson has lashed at folk with his dog-whip, and only his long purse and heavy compensation have kept him out of the courts."
OK, maybe the kids need to be taken away from him if he goes around whipping people. Also, now I'm sad Garcia didn't assassinate him. Horrible man.
"I may add that Miss Burnet's age and character make it certain that my first idea that there might be a love interest in our story is out of the question."
Excuse me? Excuse me? Her age makes a love interest out of the question? Her age? She's 40, she's not dead. Her character, maybe, I don't know, never met her, but her age. Holmes you're channelling 'fourteen year old in fandom' right now and it's not a good look.
That comment alone makes me hope that she and Garcia had the fling to end all flings. I hope she and that bisexual assassin went to town. I hope they had so much sex. I hope they had a romance for the ages. Tragic and doomed and so very very dramatic and passionate.
I hope, if their plan was to kidnap children, that they met a sticky end, but before that, I hope they were at it like rabbits.
Her age... really. Pshaw.
Tumblr media
"Miss Burnet has not been seen by any human eye since the night of the murder. From that evening she has utterly vanished. Is she alive? Has she perhaps met her end on the same night as the friend whom she had summoned? Or is she merely a prisoner?"
Super dead. His majesty Mr Henderson does not seem the type to take prisoners. Although maybe he wants information. Eh, I guess she's probably alive, though, that way we can get someone to tell us what happened in their own words, since it seems that, in spite of the shoddy method of identification, it seems that Mr Garcia is indeed dead.
Unless he did fake his death and he and Miss Burnet have run off together.
“I know which is her room. It is accessible from the top of an outhouse. My suggestion is that you and I go to-night and see if we can strike at the very heart of the mystery.”
OK, yes, she's alive and Watson and Holmes are once again breaking and entering to free a woman from captivity. Only this time the woman might be a kidnapper. But also her employer seems to be a monumental dick - as I'm assuming that Holmes' information comes from more sources than just the ex-employee.
So, next time I imagine Miss Burnet will be discovered and tell us her side of the sorry tale. I'm currently in the foiled kidnapping way of thinking. And I'm 90% sure Garcia is actually dead, even if their method of identifying him does leave me groaning. And I'm sad he does not appear to have been the cunning bisexual assassin of my dreams.
Tumblr media
Oh, and apparently the house is a rental, so that's a shame. But it does come fully furnished and now with extra guitar, books and remains of potential ritual animal sacrifice... so upsides.

Many self-described “anti-racists” paint themselves as noble standard-bearers carrying on the legacy of the civil rights movement. Ibram X. Kendi, writing for The Atlantic, refers to “an anti-racist [Martin Luther] King [Jr.]” and says that attempts to dissociate King from contemporary anti-racists amounts to a “second assassination” of King–this time of his legacy rather than his body. In a post for Martin Luther King Day 2023, Penn Medicine’s CPUP Anti-Racism Committee portray themselves as carrying on King’s legacy. A CNN Explainer discussing Critical Race Theory suggested that, “the idea behind it [Critical Race Theory] goes back much further, to the work of civil rights activists such as W.E.B. Du Bois, Fannie Lou Hamer and Pauli Murray.”
There’s some substance to this assertion. In certain speeches and passages, MLK in particular can sound a lot like a modern-day “anti-racist.” As John Wood Jr. notes in Quillette, King endorsed something resembling the “implicit bias” discussed by writers such as Robin DiAngelo. He talked about systemic racism and the “white power structure.” In a passage in Stride Toward Freedom that parallels Kendi’s famous declaration that all gaps in achievement between racial groups are caused by racism, King writes that “They [segregationist commentators] are never honest enough to admit that the academic and cultural lags in the Negro community are themselves the result of segregation and discrimination.”
Furthermore, King strongly supported affirmative action in 1965 as a necessary corrective to centuries of segregation.
Of course, King was writing in the 1950s and 1960s. It’s an open question whether his analysis of black-white relations still holds 70 years later. Indeed, a frequent critique of modern-day “anti-racists” is that too many of them still pretend we’re stuck in the 1960s. If King were still alive, would he think and write differently about the “white power structure” than he did in 1963?
But a deeper rift exists between civil rights leaders like King and the ideals espoused by too many of today’s “anti-racists.” In at least three key areas, the ideals of many so-called “anti-racists” (who author Coleman Hughes perhaps more accurately refers to as “neo-racists” in his book The End of Race Politics) today are completely at odds with those of the civil rights movement.
Regarding racial integration, for instance, many “anti-racists” are pushing for a world that’s radically different from the visions of civil rights activists like King and Murray. At the heart of these men’s visions was racial integration. Murray, a queer black civil rights activist, proclaimed in 1945 that, “I intend to destroy segregation by positive and embracing methods.” “When my brothers try to draw a circle to exclude me,” he said, “I shall draw a larger circle to include them. When they speak out for the privileges of a puny group, I shall shout for the rights of all mankind.”
Speaking at the Youth March for Integrated Schools in 1959, King intoned, “As I stand here and look out upon the thousands of Negro faces, and the thousands of white faces, intermingled like the waters of a river, I see only one face—the face of the future.”
In contrast, some of the most prominent “anti-racist” voices actively promote a segregationist agenda. A Washington Post article asks, “Can black and white women be true friends?” The author, a black woman, answers that question in the negative. Why? “Generally speaking,” she writes, “it’s not that I dislike white women. Generally speaking, it’s that I do not trust them. Generally speaking, most black women don’t.” An article in Vice even cautions white people against entering into an interracial marriage. “If you’re trying to start a mixed raced family,” the author warns, you should “sit down and deeply interrogate your intentions.”
Why do leading “anti-racists” actively discourage racial integration, using rhetoric that eerily echoes the KKK rather than MLK? Some believe the perceptions of black and white people are so divergent that genuine interracial communication is nearly impossible. In her New York Times bestseller So You Want to Talk About Race, Ijeoma Oluo describes the difference in perspective between white and black Americans as “not just a gap in experience and viewpoint,” but as “a chasm you could drop entire solar systems into.” Others seem to perceive members of different races as belonging to truly separate species. In their book Is Everyone Really Equal?, Robin DiAngelo and Özlem Sensoy argue that members of minority groups are characterized by the following traits: “feels inappropriate, awkward, doesn’t trust perception,” “find it difficult to speak up,” are “timid,” and “lack initiative.” By contrast, members of majority groups (e.g., white people) are characterized thusly: “presumptuous, does not listen, interrupts, raises voice, bullies, threatens violence, becomes violent.”
When these “anti-racists” caution against racial intermingling on the grounds that white people and black people are fundamentally different and/or cannot understand each others’ perspective, they can no longer claim to be champions of the vision for civil rights shared by leaders like King and Murray.
The second big area of difference between many modern-day “anti-racists” and the civil rights activists of the 1950s and 1960s is that the foundational ideal of the latter was brotherly love. King emphasized to his followers that, “Love must be our regulating ideal.” While leading the Montgomery bus boycotts, he urged every speaker and minister within the movement to hew close to this ideal. In his book, Stride Toward Freedom, King recounts an instance when one minister “lash[ed] out against the whites in distinctly untheological terms” and referred to extreme members of the white community as “dirty crackers.” King reports that the offending minister “was politely but firmly informed that his insulting phrases were out of place.”
Why was King so determined that the civil rights movement avoid descending into hatred and bitterness towards their oppressors? One reason was his strong Christian ideals. He quoted Jesus to his followers: “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and pray for them that despitefully use you.” But King also understood tribal psychology and knew that lasting change could not be achieved through mutual hatred. In Stride Toward Freedom, he noted that, “To meet hate with retaliatory hate would do nothing but intensify the existence of evil in the universe.” “Our aim must never be to defeat or humiliate the white man,” he continued, “but to win his friendship and understanding.”
But retaliatory hate is the modus operandi of too many “anti-racists” today. Saira Rao and Regina Jackson dedicate their New York Times bestseller White Women: Everything You Already Know About Your Own Racism And How to Do Better to “all Black, Indigenous, brown, and non-white girls, women, and non-binary identifying folks who are sick and tired of white women’s bullshit.” Authors like DiAngelo and Sensoy are comfortable dismissing all white people as “bullies” who “threaten violence” and “becomes [sic] violent.” In 2021, Yale University’s Child Study Center hosted a psychiatrist who delivered a lecture titled, “The Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind,” where white people were likened to “a demented violent predator who thinks they are a saint or a superhero,” and the speaker openly fantasized about murdering white people.
In 2023, professors Michael Bernstein and April Bleske-Rechek published the results of a study wherein participants were shown three quotes from Hitler about Jews, but replaced the term “Jews” with “Whites.” Participants were then asked whether they agreed or disagreed with the statements. The quotes are as follows:
“...the language of the [White] people, who speak to conceal, or at least veil, their thoughts. Their real purpose is often not in the writing itself, but sleeping snugly between the lines.”
“For reasons which will immediately be apparent, [Whites] have never possessed a culture of their own and the basis for their knowledge has always been furnished by the civilizations of others.”
“To achieve their goal, [Whites] proceed as follows: they creep up on the workers in order to win their confidence, pretending to have compassion.”
Fully 50 percent of liberals sampled agreed with at least one of the three statements.
King cautioned against “retaliatory hate,” understanding that bitterness and rage would not undo the sins of oppression. More fundamentally, he embraced the foundational Christian belief that all humans are made in the image of God, and thus have equal and intrinsic value. The prevailing message of too many on the far-left is the opposite: retaliatory hatred is to be lauded, because some races are just better than others.
The third foundational area where many self-proclaimed “anti-racists” diverge from the civil rights movement's ideals is their approach to class. In Stride Toward Freedom, King describes the mass meetings of the Montgomery bus boycott like this:
The mass meetings also cut across class lines. The vast majority present were working people; yet there was always an appreciable number of professionals in the audience. Physicians, teachers, and lawyers sat or stood beside domestic workers and unskilled laborers. The PhDs and the no "Ds" were bound together in a common venture. The so-called "big Negroes" who owned cars and had never ridden the buses came to know the maids and the laborers who rode the buses every day. Men and women who had been separated from each other by false standards of class were now singing and praying together in a common struggle for freedom and human dignity.
In contrast, the “anti-racist” movement in recent years has largely catered to and been driven by elites. For instance, a 2023 New York Times article titled “The Failure of Progressive Movements” explored why movements like Black Lives Matter have struggled to enact real change. One explanation was that, as liberal writer Fredrik DeBoer says, “today, left-activist spaces are dominated by the college-educated, many of whom grew up in affluence and have never worked a day at a physically or emotionally demanding job.” As a result, progressive movements often prioritize “the immaterial and symbolic” over “the material and the concrete.” They obsess over pronoun usage, microaggressions directed at minorities at top universities, and whether Tracy Chapman was as successful as Luke Combs. Think what you will about all that, but this obsession with elite life is a far cry from “Workers of the world, unite.” Maybe that’s why a recent Gallup poll found Democrats bleeding support from people who never went to college, but retaining strong support among those with a postgraduate degree.
Of course, not all “anti-racists” think this way. I know and admire many on the far-left who courageously advocate for integration and a society where skin color impacts life outcomes as little as hair color. But too many “anti-racists” endorse a broken ideology at odds with the foundational ideals of the civil rights movement. This ideology–endorsed by editors at top publications, by Ivy League universities, by New York Times bestselling authors–signifies a rot that needs to be exposed and then expunged.
King dreamed of a future characterized by racial integration and brotherly love, where no person is valued more or less highly due to the color of their skin. We should recommit ourselves to that vision before it’s too late.

READING REPORT:
“The Age Of Surveillance Capitalism”
In the reading the main concept that is underlined is the shift from the first modernity to the second modernity. The first modernity developed after the second Industrial Revolution, and by the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century second modernity was overcoming the first one. When the writer, Shoshone Zuboff, talks about first modernity she refers to the mass production that came with the changes in production, like the assembly line, and how the consumption was directed towards masses, which meant that products were the same for everyone and there was no space for customization. Zuboff then recalls what Henry’s Ford used to say: "You can have any color car you want as long as it's black”. (Page 29) What changed between the first and the second modernity was towards whom the consumption was directed. In the second modernity the consumption was towards the individual, and therefore we talk about “individualized consumption”. According to Zuboff there have been three main events that are symbolic of the second modernity. They all happened on the 9th of August 2011, and the first one is Apple with the inversion of production. In August, Apple launched the IPod and ITunes platform which made the customization of a playlist possible, and in our age and time an individualized consumption is what modern consumers expect. The writer takes as evidence the narcissism and eagerness of customers “what I want, when, where and how I want it” (page 30). What makes us different from the first modern consumers is that we now know our worth as individuals, and we expect to be treated accordingly to our individual and specific needs. Nowadays our life is an “open ended reality” (page 33) and we are not bonded to our roots and family, we can change the trajectory of our life making it different from the one of our ancestors. With this new mentality the “Apple Miracle” and many other capitals it corporations found a fertile ground where to grow, and generated wealth, more wealth that has ever been generated.
However even if we live in a wealthy world only a small percentage of the world really lives off that much wealth, which leads to immense discrepancies in the distribution of the wealth.
The other two events that signed the second modernity are the indignados movements from Spain and the London riots that happened following a police shooting. The riots and the movement had at the core a sense of inequality and injustice in the economical and social environment: many people lamented a “sense of being invisible” and “ a lack of job, money or opportunity”. (Page 44)
Finally Shoshana ends by underlining the control that many corporations have on our privacy and sensible datas. At first many people were shocked and scared by the fact that some companies, like Google, scanned email to generate advertising. The second modernity is seeing both a changed and more individualized consumerism that leads to a growth and inevitable capitalist surveillance on individuals.
I personally enjoyed reading this article, and I found myself relating to the new generations living through the second modernity. I sometimes find myself annoyed at some of the behavior I adapt when something on my IPhone, or WiFi connection does not work, because I expect them to always be working. Therefore, I see myself in the “what I want, when, where and how I want it”, and it's quite difficult to detach myself from that kind of thought because as Zuboff explains, I perceive myself as an individual “worth” of being seen and being represented.

Talk about equality.
Last night, me and my flatmate were talking about equality, and we ended up in the kitchen until 2 a.m. He told me a story on a day: He was taking an escalator at Baker Street station, and suddenly two young black boys who had golf clubs pushed him. They were behaving so rudely towards him, and it was obvious. I asked him, "Were they rude to you on purpose? Do you think that they did it to you because you are black like them? He said, "Yes, I'm sure".
In his theory, the black boys think that "we are black, but sophisticated and civilised." We are the same as white. Oh, you are also a black man, but you do not have a golf club, and you are not sophisticated. Maybe you are a cleaner on the street."
He also added that they did not notice or did not care that he was taller than them and maybe even stronger. Although he did not have a golf club, they pushed him. Why do people challenge someone who has more power in society by just copying them instead of creating an original way? Why do they not play harmonica or bass guitar instead of golf, which is thought of as a sport for middle-class, posh white men?"
"As soon as they copy someone, they may think the custom or tradition is not only theirs, and they will create something new thing. and people copy it again. Why do they not try to find something different and have power in their field? Then, finally, they can be equal, isn't it? If you copy them, it is the same as admitting they are higher than you. You admit them; they are superior to you." He said that the feminist movement is the same. Women wanted to wear masculine clothes to show the same power as men. Women, like men, began to smoke cigarets.
I did not agree with him that women just lacked originality. In my view, women had to vanish their femininity; otherwise, society did not even think they were treated as humans. If they did not wear trousers, men saw them as sex icons; they could not be evaluated and compared to men. Also, it is related to the power differences between men and women. If women had exactly the same body as men and if there were no possibility of being harassed or raped, they would not have to wear trousers.
I remember that I was wearing skirts and heels when I started working. However, I remember that when I got a chance for a business trip abroad or something good feedback from the company, an older guy told me some stupid assumptions; he implied that I was using my femininity to get the opportunities and good evaluation. Since then, gradually, I started wearing non-feminine clothes; I was still wearing skirts some times, but I hated to be seen in my femininity, took it as a sexual way, and was taken advantage of by men. On the other hand, some older women in the workplace were still accepting their gender roles as women. They were loved by everyone. But I couldn't see them, and it hurt me terribly. I could not tolerate that one of my workmates (so smart, so efficient, and so beautiful) said that "In my department, men are kind of in front of the sales and women are working behind them to get data, handle administration, and support them. It is a tradition that has not changed for many years". It was so sad to hear that, and it made me mad.
Unfortunately, in some companies, some stupid people still think that some women use their sexual power to get opportunities. Wearing "non-feminine clothes" is not only not copying men but also the only solution to being seen as human.
It is a very complicated problem. I am against his idea regarding feminism, but I agree in terms of ethnicity. When I see Japanese women who got married abroad, they kind of have similar styles. No fringe, long hair with highlights, emphasising their cheekbones with their cheeks, wearing sexy clothes instead of layered style… I was wondering why they all have this trend. But that sounds like just copying white women. W-H-Y? Why do they rule out Japanese beauty and original styles and try to adopt white people here? Why do we set our beauty standards the same as white people? It gives me a headache when I start thinking.

Introductory Post
Hey there!
✨️Welcome to our Tumblr blog!✨️
The purpose of this blog is to talk about the concept of historical intersectionality and how it has shaped the experiences of marginalized groups throughout history.
Intersectionality is a term that has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, but its roots can be traced back to the early 19th century black feminist movement. It recognizes that our different social identities - such as race, gender, class and sexuality - interact in complex and interconnected ways to shape our experiences and opportunities in society.
Historical intersectionality recognizes that these social identities have not existed in isolation, but rather have been deeply intertwined throughout history.
Tumblr media
✨️But what actually IS intersectionality?✨️
Intersectionality is a way of understanding social relations by examining intersecting forms of discrimination. This means acknowledging that social systems are complicated and that many forms of oppression like racism, sexism and ageism might be present and active at the same time in a person’s life.
Everyday approaches to building equality tend to focus on one type of discrimination – for instance sexism – and then work to address only that specific concern. But while the career of a young, white and able bodied woman might improve with gender equality protections, an older, black, disabled lesbian may continue to be hampered by racism, ageism and homophobia in the workplace. Intersectionality is about understanding and addressing all potential roadblocks to an individual or group’s well-being. But it’s not as simple as just adding up oppressions and addressing each one individually. Racism, sexism and ableism exist on their own. But when combined, they compound and transform the experience of oppression. Intersectionality acknowledges that unique oppressions exist, but is also dedicated to understanding how they change in combination.
Tumblr media
The roots of intersectionality lie within the black feminist movement, with legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw originating the term. Crenshaw felt that anti-racist and feminist movements were both overlooking the unique challenges faced by black women. She stated that legislation about race is framed to protect black men, and legislation about sexism is understood to protect white women. So simply combining racism and sexism together does not therefore protect black women.
Intersectional theory is now applied across a range of social divisions and also to understandings of domination such as those associated with whiteness, masculinity and heterosexuality. Intersectionality is not only about multiple identities, and it’s not a simple answer to solving problems around equality and diversity. It is, however, an essential framework as we truly engage with issues around privilege and power, and work to bring them into the open. Intersectionality means listening to others, examining our own privileges, and asking questions about who may be excluded or adversely affected by our work. As importantly, it means taking measurable action to invite, include and centre the voices and work of marginalised individuals.
✨️HOW is intersectionality still relevant today?✨️
Intersectionality is an important concept in the fight for social justice today. It recognizes that our identities cannot be separated from one another, and that our experiences are shaped by a complex array of factors. By understanding historical intersectionality, we can better understand the ways in which oppression and privilege have operated throughout history, and work towards a more just and equitable society for all.
Intersectionality is still very relevant today as it provides a framework for understanding how different forms of discrimination and oppression can intersect and impact individuals and communities.
One of the key ways in which intersectionality is relevant today is in the fight for social justice and equality. By recognizing that people may experience discrimination and oppression in multiple ways, intersectionality helps advocates and politicians to develop more inclusive policies and practices that address the complex and interrelated forms of oppression that people may face.
Intersectionality is also relevant in areas such as education, healthcare, and employment, where individuals from marginalized groups may face barriers to accessing services or opportunities due to their intersecting identities. By taking an intersectional approach, organizations can identify and address these barriers more effectively, leading to greater equity and inclusion.
Tumblr media
Overall, intersectionality remains an important concept for understanding and addressing the various forms of discrimination and oppression that exist in society today. Throughout the next few months we will explore all of it's facets and discuss it's more in-depth aspects.

ARTIST RESEARCH BASED ON INTIAL IDEAS/INSPIRATION
youtube
Free Radicals (1958) by Len Lye
My inspiration to scratch into 16 mm comes from this piece by Len Lye. The piece includes 16 mm scratches and a sound scape of traditional African music from the Birgimi tribe. We get a unique sense of movement through the scratches and how it is moving in relation to the music. Lye worked with movement in his art practice as a celebration of energy which is described with the title “Free Radicals”. The style of the scratches relates to tribal art and connects therefore with the use of music.

The Unfinished Conversation (2012) by John Akomfrah
John Akomfrah is an important artist to mention in relation to the matters I am talking about. Worth to mention he was part of the Black Audio Film Collective and his film “Handsworth Songs” was quite signifcant to his career.  The Unfinished Conversation is a three screen video installation and it portrays Stuart Hall’s life and work. Extracted images from news footage of the 1960s, alongside Hall’s personal home videos and photographs, are presented to merge the past, present and future.
I was inspired by the use of three screens that shows different aspects and then obviously the impact the work of Hall has had on my own personal experience.

To Photograph the Details of a Dark Horse in Low Light (2013) by Adam BroomBerg and Oliver Chanarin
“The new images hijack the representational space of urban advertising to raise questions about the relationship between the social and the technical, and the possibility that politics is bound up with our material history.”
In 1975, French director Jean-Luc Godard called out Kodak film to be racist because he claimed that it was only made for white skin and he refused to use their film on an assignment in Mozambique. This gave the idea for Broomberg and Chanarin’s billboard campaign to use the Kodak Shirley cards as a reference for how white skin was labelled as “normal” and used as a point of reference to calibrate skin tone in a photograph. When Kodak did respond to these claims, the “Gold Max” film was made with the title “to photograph the details of a dark horse in low light.”

“Empire needs imagination to see the violent film. Empire needs Islands of imagination to see the light Empire needs violence to light its fire. Empire needs to see its islands, its isolation”
White Gaze by Michelle Dizon and Viet Le White Gaze is a book there was made in response to the National Graphic magazine. A magazine published in North America and Europe and known to document life and people. The two artists wanted to explore the history of photography with roots of the colonial power-relations and the creation of stereotypes. By looking at the original image and text, they were able to reframe and uncover an alternative history of each image. I was inspired by the how they have deconstructed the words that was originally used but into a meaning that make sense of today and how we look at colonialism.  Article: https://www.lensculture.com/articles/michelle-dizon-vi-t-le-white-gaze

Gatekeeping for the truth or gatekeeping the truth?
Blog 2/23
Tumblr media
As social media grows, journalists have less gatekeeping power. Everyone has an outlet to share the news how they want to, but this places a greater responsibility on journalists to seek and report the truth. Even if they are not the most influential discussion leaders, people still depend on them for the truth.
This week's readings examined Twitter data and how it impacts our social networks and how gatekeeping and agenda-setting impact the discourse to which we are exposed. Guo and Liu (2022) and Groshek and Tandoc (2017) show the power of Twitter to affect our lives in their articles. Both researchers use their reports to show the platform's impact through agenda-setting effects and gatekeeping. In the case of the Ferguson, Missouri protests, Groshek and Tandoc (2017) they have discovered that legacy journalists were not the most effective at producing conversation and gatekeeping stories about Ferguson.
Social media platforms have transformed the nature of relationship management as "key mediators interacting between organizations and various stakeholders." according to Himelboim et al. (2014) in "A Social Networks Approach to Public Relations on Twitter: Social Mediators and Mediated Public Relations," Twitter appropriately depicts social network structures, mediators, and indicators prevalent in our current social sphere. This article applies a network approach to "identify and classify the types of social mediators that connect organizations with their publics and the direction of communication between them (Himelboim et al., 2014)." The research presented in this article shows how new interactive media possess tremendous potential to make communication more strategic, two-way, interactive, and dialogical, especially within government organizations active on social media.
Guo and Liu looked at the agenda-setting effects of the #BlackLivesMatter and #StopAsianHate trends from 2020 and 2021, collecting data from the most significant time of surge for the hashtags (3 months directly after George Floyd's death for #BlackLivesMatter and three months directly after the Atlantic spa shooting in 2021 for #StopAsianHate). The two found that the information surges directly after the tragedy but stabilizes after two weeks once the popularity dips. This leads to a change in the direction of the hashtag, shifting from directly talking about the issue to discussing how to combat general hate.
The most prominent example was the #BlackLivesMatter movement in 2020, which directly responded to police brutality issues continuing to rise in the United States. The hashtag and similar hashtags sought to cover the protests that raged across America and serve as an educational tool for people on social media to learn about the unfair treatment of black people in America. Notably, the death of George Floyd and the viral video of the situation itself served as the catalyst.

THE GODDESS AND THE GOD OF THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD. CHITAURI, NAGA, SERPENT PEOPLE, AND THE DIVINE FEMININE:
MY MOVEMENT TO LIBERATE AND RESTORE THE DIVINE FEMININE HAS TAKEN OFF LIKE A ROCKET. THERE ARE A LOT MORE PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THE MOVEMENT I'M SPEARHEADING THAN I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT. AS IT TURNS OUT, THE MISSING PIECE IN THE TRADITIONS OF THE DIVINE FEMININE IS THE GOD, AS THE COUNTERPART OF THE GODDESS. THIS WHOLE THING ABOUT HAVING A CENTRAL WILL, MASCULINE ELEMENT, IS THE ENTIRE DILEMMA. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, THERE ARE SOME VERY SERIOUS RITUAL MAGICIANS AND OCCULTISTS OUT THERE, PAST AND PRESENT. WELL, THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN, THAT THERE HAVE BEEN PEOPLE TRYING TO MANIPULATE THE GOD ROLL AS IT RELATES TO THE GODDESS. THERE ARE PEOPLE TRYING TO PLAY THAT ROLE, BUT THOSE PEOPLE ARE NOT CONNECTING PROPERLY TO THE GODDESS. THEY'RE NOT REALLY COMMITTING I GUESS YOU COULD SAY, AND THEY'RE SEPARATION FROM THE GODDESS IS ALSO A SEPARATION FROM NATURE ITSELF. YOU DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TO HAVE SOMEBODY WITH THE POWER LEVEL OF GOD THAT IS SEPARATED FROM NATURE. THERE ARE SERIOUS PEOPLE TRYING TO PLAY THAT ROLE OF GOD TO THE GODDESS, AND BECAUSE OF THEIR INABILITY TO COMMIT TO THE GODNESS AND THUS THEIR SEPARATION FROM NATURE, IT HAS CAUSED THE VAST MAJORITY OF ALL THE PROBLEMS YOU HAVE SEEN IN THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD. SO WHEN I HAD THE IDEA TO GET THE MISSING FREQUENCY OF DIVINITY, AND THEN PLAY A CENTRAL ROLE AS AN ACTIVE MASCULINE ELEMENT WILL FORCE IN THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD, WHICH IS MORE OR LESS THE DARK SIDE, I NEVER DREAMED GOING INTO THIS THAT I WOULD BE SO GRANDLY EMPOWERED AS I HAVE BECOME. LIKE I SAID, IT IS ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL TO THE GODDESS YOU HAVE A MASCULINE ELEMENT PLAYING THE GOD ROLE THAT IS CONNECTED TO HER, AND THUS CONNECTED TO NATURE. THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD WHEN YOU ASSOCIATE IT WITH THE DARK SIDE IS GROUNDED CARNALITY WITH SPIRITUALITY BASED ON A DIFFERENT FORM OF ENERGY THAN MOST PEOPLE ARE USED TO, WHICH IS FUELED BY A BLACK HOLE SUN AND A PULL FORCE. THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD IS ALSO THE WORLD OF WAVES AND SOUND, AND ANY OF YOU WHO KNOW HOW A BLACK SUN WORKS, KNOW THAT THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD IS THE ONE WITH ALL THE POWER WHEN IT COMES TO PHYSICAL MATTER AND CARNALITY.
SINCE I REALIZED THAT HAVING A MASCULINE ELEMENT WILL FORCE THAT IS IN PROPER ALIGNMENT WITH THE GODDESS AND NATURAL FORCES IS ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL TO WINNING THE SPIRITUAL WAR THAT WILL LIBERATE THE DIVINE FEMININE, I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO CIRCLE, TALK TO THE POWERS THAT BE, AND SEE WHAT THE NEXT MOVE IS FOR MYSELF CONCERNING THESE MATTERS. WELL, THEY SAID YES, DO IT, THANK GOODNESS SOMEBODY IS FINALLY STEPPING UP TO FILL THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE AN AFFINITY UNION WITH A GODDESS, AND WE WILL EMPOWER YOU WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED, THEN GUIDE AND INSTRUCT YOU SO THAT YOU CAN WIN THIS WAR, BECAUSE THE OTHER PEOPLE AND FORCES TRYING TO USURP THE GOD ROLL WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED TO THE GODDESS IN NATURE, ARE TURNING OUT TO BE INCREDIBLE MONSTERS AND TYRANTS, AND WE HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO DEFEAT THEM. SO BASICALLY THE POWERS THAT BE TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE GOING TO ALLOW ME TO PLAY THAT ROLE AS LONG AS I WOULD BE WILLING TO ENTER INTO THE AFFINITY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GODDESS, WHICH WAS TOTALLY FINE, I HAD DONE THINGS ALONG THOSE LINES EVEN IN THE EARLY DAYS WHEN I HAD JUST GOTTEN INTO THE CRAFT, AND THEN THEY WOULD COMPLETELY EMPOWER ME WITH EVERYTHING I NEEDED AND GUIDE ME TO BE ABLE TO BEAT ALL THE OTHER MASCULINE ELEMENTS TRYING TO USURP AND PLAY THE ROLE OF GOD TO THE GODDESS ON THE HIGHEST LEVELS OF POWER. ANY OF YOU WHO HAVE FOLLOWED MY WRITING, KNOW THAT I ALREADY HAVE A MAGICAL CONTRACT THAT IS UNBREAKABLE, THAT GAVE ME THE FREQUENCY OF DIVINITY TO WIN THE FREQUENCY WARS. BASICALLY IT ADDED THE FREQUENCY OF DIVINITY INTO THE DEMIURGE OF SOPHIA, AND REBORN AS A HYBRID THAT WAS PUT TOGETHER OUT OF MYSELF AND THE DEMIRAGE, I HAVE CHOSEN THE NAME TO BE DIVINE CHRONOS OF THE BLACK SUN. SINCE THE DEMIURGE WAS UPGRADED, I DECIDED I WOULD USE MY PREFERRED METHOD OF RELATING TO THE GODDESS, WHICH IS WITH ONE OF MY FAVORITE GODDESS FIGURES OF INANNA. SO WITH DIVINITY ADDED BACK INTO THE EQUATION, THE NEW DEMIURGE AND SOPHIA ARE DIVINE CHRONOS AND INANNA. I HAD THAT GOING IN, AND WHEN I WOULD RELATE TO THE DEMIURGE, HE WOULD ALWAYS APPEAR AS A HUMANOID FIGURE WITH THE HEAD OF A LION, WHO IS VERY WELL DRESSED AND VERY SOPHISTICATED. SO THAT WAS ALREADY SOMETHING THAT WAS IN PLAY, AND NOW THINGS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED YET FURTHER TO WIN THE WAR OF THE WILLS. SO WHEN I WAS EMPOWERED THIS TIME AROUND, THEY TOTALLY HAD ME FLIP POLARITIES AND SIDES. THEY WANTED ME TO GO ALL THE WAY TO THE MASCULINE AND MALEVOLENT SIDE, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME STAYING IN THE DIVINE FEMININE OF COURSE, AND THEY EMPOWERED ME TO BE A LOT LIKE WHAT YOU SEE IN THIS PICTURE OF ATUM.
MY ENERGIES AND SUBTLE BODIES HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY REDONE BY THE POWERS THAT BE, I HAVE NOW BEEN FULLY SWITCHED INTO ONE OF THE SERPENT PEOPLE, SO IF YOU WERE TO SEE MY SUBTLE BODY, I WOULD LOOK LIKE A MALE COBRA DRAGON, WITH A GIANT CRYSTAL COMING THROUGH WHERE MY THIRD EYE IS, AND ALSO HORNS MADE OUT OF THE SAME KIND OF CRYSTAL. THEY MADE ME INTO THE MASCULINE WILL CENTER GOD FIGURE OF THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD IN THIS FORM, BECAUSE APPARENTLY ONE OF THE THINGS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FORM IS THAT IT IS CAPABLE OF HAVING THE GREATEST AND MOST POWERFUL OF THE WILLS. SO I'VE BEEN TOTALLY SET UP FOR SUCCESS, A LOT OF THESE CHANGES ARE VERY RESENT AND I'M STILL GETTING USED TO THEM, BUT I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT I NEED TO PERFECT MY POWER FORCE AND ABSOLUTELY DEFEAT THE OTHERS TRYING TO PLAY AND USURP THE ROLE OF GOD WITHOUT BEING WILLING TO HAVE A UNITY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GODDESS. I FULLY PLAN TO WIN, BECAUSE SOMEBODY NEEDS TO STEP UP AND DO THIS. I ALREADY KNOW THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS THAT HUMAN BEINGS CAN'T DO FOR THEMSELVES, AND THEY ABSOLUTELY NEED, FROM THE POWERS THAT BE, SOMEONE EMPOWERED THAT CAN STEP UP AND PLAY THE MASCULINE GOD ROLE NEEDED, TO BY MASCULINE PHALLUS FORCE OF WILL, IMPOSE THE HELP NECESSARY IN ALL THE AREAS WHERE PEOPLE CAN'T OR WON'T HELP THEMSELVES.
WHEN I FIRST GOT STARTED IN THE CRAFT, I NEVER DREAMED I WOULD BE EMPOWERED ON THIS LEVEL. HOWEVER, I CAN SEE WHY IT IS NECESSARY AND HAPPENING. THE OTHER POWERS OUT THERE TRYING TO PLAY THE ROLE OF GOD ARE VERY DESTRUCTIVE, BAD SPIRITED, TYRANNICAL ELEMENTS, AND WITH ALL THE FLAWS I MAY HAVE SOMETIMES, I AM AN ABSOLUTE DREAM COME TRUE COMPARED TO THE ALTERNATIVES. THEY ALREADY HAVE MAGICKS OUT FLOATING AROUND IN THE AETHER WAITING TO ENTRAP PEOPLE. I'M MORE LIKE A PAN FIGURE, I'LL RUN WILD AND PLAY ALL DAY, CHASE NYMPHS AND THE WHOLE NINE YARDS, OVERINDULGE IN SENSUAL CARNALITY, BUT NONE OF THAT STUFF EVEN QUALIFIES AS BAD COMPARED TO WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT FROM THESE OTHER FIGURES TRYING TO USURP THE GOD ROLL, LIKE FOR EXAMPLE, THE CATHOLIC AND CHRISTIAN CHURCH. ACTUALLY, THE JOVIAL CARNALITY LAND OF PAN IS MORE OF A NATURAL STATE IN THE DIVINE FEMININE, WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT I LOVE. I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED TO HAVE THESE NEW POWERS AND ENERGIES, THESE NEW SUBTLE BODIES, AND I AM VERY EXCITED TO OFFICIALLY BE ONE OF THE SERPENT PEOPLE, INSTEAD OF JUST WORKING AS A HUMAN ON THEIR BEHALF IN AREAS OF THE LEFT HAND PATH. WHEN I SAY THAT I MEAN THE STATE OF THE SUBTLE BODY THAT ANIMATES THE PHYSICAL BODY IN WHAT SOME HAVE CALLED THE SUMMERLAND OR OMEGALAND, A PLACE OF DIFFERENT VIBRATION THAT EXISTS AT THE SAME TIME AND RIGHT ON TOP OF OUR NORMAL WAKING PHYSICAL EXISTENCE. COBRA DRAGON, IT EVEN LOOKS LIKE A GIANT GREEN PENIS, HAHA!
HERE'S THE HUMOROUS PART, THE POWERS THAT BE BASICALLY TOLD ME TO FULLY SWING OVER TO THE MASCULINE MALEVOLENT POLARITY, AND BASICALLY BE THE BEST AND GREATEST GIANT PENIS WITH ARMS AND LEGS THAT I CAN POSSIBLY BE! IT'S FANTASTIC, I THINK I'VE BEEN WAITING MY ENTIRE LIFE TO BE EMPOWERED FOR A ROLL LIKE THIS!
SO IF YOU'RE READING THIS AND YOU'RE NEW TO MY WRITINGS AND MY WORK, OR YOU HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING ME FOR A WHILE AND YOU'D LIKE TO GET MORE INVOLVED, I CAN TELL YOU NOW WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY TO WHERE THE SPIRIT WORLD AND THE POWERS THAT BE WILL VOUCH FOR ME, AND YOU CAN EXPERIENCE AND FEEL IT YOURSELF, THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTE REAL POWER INVOLVED IN THIS, THAT I HAVE BEEN COMMISSIONED BY THE GREAT DIVINE GODDESS OF ALL TO DO WHAT I'M DOING, THAT I AM THE MASCULINE WILL ELEMENT THAT SHE IS USING FOR HER GOD COUNTERPART RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I AM IN UNITY WITH HER AND THUS CONNECTED TO NATURE, WHERE ALL THE OTHER GOD ALTERNATIVES ON THOSE HIGHEST LEVELS OF POWER ARE NOT. YOU NEED TO KNOW, THAT YOU WILL BE SWAYED TO ONE WILL OR ANOTHER, AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SWAYED TO WILLS THAT ARE DESTRUCTIVE AND DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR HAVE YOUR INTERESTS IN MIND, YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR MOVEMENT AND DO OUR FAST AND EASY DIVINE FEMININE INITIATION SO YOU CAN GET ON OUR CHANNEL. LIKE I SAID, THERE IS REAL POWER INVOLVED, I HAVE BEEN MADE TO BE A GIANT ANTENNA FOR THE DIVINE FEMININE, AND WHEN YOU TUNE INTO OUR CHANNEL, YOU WILL BE HOOKED INTO THAT POWER FLOW, THE BLACK SUN DARK SIDE, DIVINE FEMININE WAVE FORCE, THE SIDE THAT HAS ALL THE POWER WHEN IT COMES TO NATURE AND THE NATURAL WORLD, PHYSICAL MATTER AND CARNALITY, AND ALL OTHER THINGS DIVINE FEMININE!
AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, SINCE MY WORK AS A WITCH IN THE CRAFT AND IN THE DIVINE FEMININE IS REAL AND LEGITIMATE, AND I'VE BEEN COMMISSIONED FOR SUCH AN IMPORTANT TASK, I PLAN ON FOCUSING MOST OF MY ENERGIES ON THIS NOW. I WILL GET MY WILL FORCE AS POWERFUL AS I CAN POSSIBLY GET IT, I WILL ATTAIN THE GUIDANCE NEEDED, AND THEN I WILL GO IN AND PLAY THAT GOD ROLE MASCULINE ELEMENT BY USING MY WILL FORCE TO HELP THE PEOPLE THAT CAN'T HELP THEMSELVES AND DO THE THINGS THAT NEED TO BE DONE LIKE A GOOD FATHER FIGURE PARENT, EVEN IF I LOOK LIKE THE BAD GUY TO SOME PEOPLE, I DON'T CARE. I WILL ABSOLUTELY WIN THIS WAR, MYSELF AND ALL THE OTHER FORCES OF THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD!
I'VE SPENT SO MUCH OF MY TIME EXPLORING, REFINING, AND PERFECTING MY FEMININE SIDE AS A WITCH, THAT IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I HAVE HAD THE LIBERTY TO REALLY INDULGE IN MY MASCULINE SIDE. HOWEVER, IF A GIANT DICK WITH ARMS AND LEGS IS WHAT IS NEEDED RIGHT NOW, HAVE I GOT GOOD NEWS FOR YOU! BECAUSE IT JUST SO HAPPENS, THAT BEING A GIANT DICK WITH ARMS AND LEGS IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I DO BEST! AND IT WILL BE SO NICE TO FREELY BE ABLE TO INDULGE MY MASCULINE AND MALEVOLENT SIDE IN NATURE AGAIN!
I HAVE A LOT OF WITCH FRIENDS THAT LIKE TO MAGICALLY MESS WITH ME SOMETIMES TO BE PLAYFUL AND CUTE. I DON'T KNOW IF ANY OF YOU KNOW WHAT THAT'S LIKE, THE WHOLE DARTH TOOLE THING. AS IT WOULD APPEAR, THAT'S NOT GOING TO WORK ANYMORE, BECAUSE I JUST GOT UPGRADED TO BEING THE DARK EMPEROR OF THE ENTIRE DARK SIDE WORLD IF YOU WERE TO USE THE STAR WARS REFERENCE. IT DOESN'T PERFECTLY FIT WITH THE DIVINE FEMININE, BUT IT IS KIND OF FUNNY. IN ORDER TO GET EMPOWERED IN CERTAIN WAYS, I HAD TO UNDERGO CHANGES THAT I KNEW IN ADVANCE CAN NEVER BE UNDONE. THERE ARE SOME POWERS AND KNOWLEDGE YOU WILL NEVER BE GIVEN, UNLESS YOU LEGITIMATELY BECOME A PART OF THAT WORLD AND THE THINGS GOING ON. SO I KNOW I CAN NEVER GO BACK, BUT WHAT I CAN TELL YOU IS THIS, I WILL BE THE BEST DARK SIDE, DARK EMPEROR THAT I CAN POSSIBLY BE, AND I AM SO EXCITED TO PLAY THIS ROLE! I WILL ABSOLUTELY GET DONE THE THINGS THAT NEED TO GET DONE, AND WIN THIS WAR TO LIBERATE THE DIVINE FEMININE WORLD ONCE AND FOR ALL FROM TYRANNY AND OPPRESSION! PLEASE, IF YOU FEEL MOVED, DO OUR FAST AND EASY DIVINE FEMININE INITIATION, AVAILABLE IN THIS ALBUM, THE DIVINE FEMININE INITIATION KEYS, IN MY PHOTO ALBUM DIGITAL LIBRARY OF ALEXANDRIA ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE, AND JOIN OUR MOVEMENT. I SET UP THE INITIATION INSTRUCTIONS TO HAVE ITS OWN ALBUM ON PURPOSE SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO SCROLL THROUGH MY BLOG POSTS FOREVER TO FIND IT, SO IF YOU'RE READING THIS ON TUMBLR, JUST FOLLOW THE LINK TO MY FACEBOOK PAGE IN MY ABOUT ME DESCRIPTION, AND THEN GO TO MY PHOTO ALBUMS WHICH ARE ALL PUBLIC.
