Like presumptuous feeling or something #''oooo guess whats gonna happen LATER!!!'' like.. how do you know.. what if it doesnt. what if you dont finish it. what if its not the way #you think it's going to be. what if something changes. etc. Like I literally avoid movie trailers and game trailers for the same reason ghj #Even if it's not ME doing it it just feels... weird.. Maybe it has to do with my OCD and how I just don't like talking about ''future''#things in Certain Terms. Like if I was going to say ''Oh yeah sure. come over to my house in a few months''. I would have to follow it up #with like ''HOPEFULLY you can come over to my house in a few months'' or 'They'll come over in a few months MOST LIKELY''. Because just #stating that something will happen matter of factly takes for granted like.. what if somehting horrible happens and I DONT have a house #in a few months? or what if something bad happens to me. or to the person coming over? I can't ever DEFINITELY say with 100% certainty #that one could ACTUALLY come to my house in a few months. anything could change. So I have to allot for that in my phrasing. hbjjkn #There are a lot of situations where you're expected to just Assume Things but for some reason that bothers me. My brain literally does not #even Assume the most basic things.. like how do *I* know that just because it's someones birthday that they want to be wished a happy #birthday? what if they dont? everyone is different and has different preferences. I should check with them first. or wait until they public #ly announce that theyre accepting birthday wishes. I have to allot for all 5034859069 rare possibilities at any given time and never take #anything for certain. etc. ghjbjhbh.... ANYWAY.. I have been feeling a bit sick lately as usual.. but still slowly making progress on some #things. Moslty I need to edit costume photos. make sculptures. and work on the game. Going back reading some of the old writing from like #2018 and suprisingly I don't have to change that much of it? In fact I like it mostly. so that's good. I would be very interested if I were #playing the game myself. hope that dsmp vol 2 flops so fucking hard & that a lot of the smaller CCs who got fucked over massively by dream and other large creators in dsmp vol 1 are able to enjoy other SMPs (i know aimsey is in area unknown iirc?) that r not tied directly to an incredibly shitty and disrespectful (at bare minimum bc u know i have a lot of fucking thoughts on dream) person.

ford’s machine would have never worked, regardless of whether or not stan had interacted with it

(warning i accidentally wrote an approximately 30-tag dive into ford’s character in the tags don’t click see more if you don’t want to read that)

#it’s also tragic because ford didn’t know #the impossibility of perpetual motion was discovered far before that point and yet he didn’t know #i mean. ‘he’s actually just so arrogant that he thought he could break the laws of physics’ doesn’t make any sense #his reaction to the situation really didn’t match that interpretation as far as i can tell #i don’t think it’s just a ‘oh no! my dream school (that i was essentially shoved into pursuing)!’ type deal #here’s what i’m thinking:#fact one- stan and ford were seemingly already drifting apart by this point in time. this is important to note #fact two- it’s really emphasized to him that he’s smart. that’s all they say about him really- that’s he’s a genius #fact three- filbrick does not even care enough about stanford to say his name. he calls ford his ‘ticket out of this dump’#these last two points were likely heavily emphasized to him throughout his childhood #filbrick found out ford was smart and thought stan wasn’t. so ford became his plan to make money #ford is heavily bullied for his weirdness. his hands and his interests. being smart could ‘make up’ for this in his mind #he wants to leave. he outright states this- he doesn’t feel like he belongs and he wants to go somewhere he does (his own bermuda triangle)#so what essentially happened- i believe- is that ford internalized all these things #that his weirdness is bad and that he makes up for it by being smart and that he’s meant to make his family money-#-and that he wants out #his machine fails. this is a slap in the face to him. perpetual motion is impossible?#but why didn’t he know that? he’s supposed to be smart isn’t he? if he isn’t smart then what the hell is he?#what redeeming qualities does he have? how is he supposed to help his family now? he’s a failure isn’t he?#he spots a familiar bag. stan was here. suddenly he has an excuse- a reason to believe it wasn’t his fault #(and there’s really nothing to be at fault for but he doesn’t think that)#it’s easier to blame it on stan because of how distant they’ve grown. he can’t read stan as easily #and his reaction is suspicious- did he actually sabotage the project? is it…actually not ford’s fault at all?#they don’t speak to each other again for another decade #stan because he’s afraid of rejection #ford because he doesn’t want to face his own insecurities and emotions about everything #it’s easier to pretend that he wants to be famous and isn’t just doing it to make it his father money #and it’s easier to distract himself with things he loves than to feel all the guilt and hurt and frustration #and that. is perfect for bill to use to manipulate him #that’s my thoughts anyway. sorry for the rant was not expecting that to happen

I understand why everyone who read dunmeshi instantly shipped marci and falin but tbh the fact that it's just treated as canon by the fandom cuts on a lot of interesting analysis that could be done on their relationship outside of the romantic reading, which is kind of a shame

#when i read through i spent a lot of time trying to understand if marci saw her as an equal or as a younger friend she had to take care of #this started from her comment about how 29yo is “a child” and falin is younger than that #and then the scene in the bathroom which is very loved by the shippers #it felt a lot like falin understood the implications and marci didn't yk #i read that and it just felt like they were failing to communicate bc marci just couldn't see falins body as something she should be #embarrassed about #very mom with a child behaviour #same in the bed falin mentioned growing up and marci said it was just the same #doesn't it imply she still sees her as a kid?#there's that time in the backstory of when she first met laios and how she treats falin like a kid who can't make her own choices too #like she tells laios off for taking her away and then tells her she'll take her back to the academy like falin isn't #perfectly able to choose for herself #extremely “mom knows best” of her??#there's a lot of moments like that #then there's also everything that could be said about falin being marcis first friend and what it means for her to die #like...if you just call it romance it goes to undermine a bigger issue in marci's character imo?#like marci went to those lengths just cause she's in love with her but i think the point is that this was yet another person she lost before #she was ready to let her go? her character arc culminates in her accepting that falin might just be dead after all #and even with the possibility of falin being reborn she was ready to be taken away by the elves and never see her again #this is incredible growth for her but it only makes sense if falin was just one of many friends this could have happened with #and not the love of her life? I'd assume she would want to spend the rest of falins life with her if that was the case #whether or not she got over her fear of everyone dying before her #it's a thought! i think it's interesting to think about!#it's fun to ship them so I'm not saying we shouldn't or whatever but not treating it as canon now and again would open #to so many possibilities #for example I can't get out of my brain the scenario in which falin is in love with her and marci just can't see it until it's too late #kind of like himmel and frieren? think of the angst!! all lost because we just assume they're canon......tragic

Indigenous Hawaiians really had a good system going: wake up reaaally early and do most of the days work while it's cool and by the time the sun was up and it got hot the work was done and you're free to surf and socialize. I wish the white people realized they themselves could work smarter and not harder and get time to relax. Instead of calling Hawaiians lazy (and being genocidal about it)

#Ik this happened in most if not all tropical regions that got colonized #they were so pissed that these 'lazy' people got all sorts of fruit and natural bounty 'handed to them'#when those indigenous people were just working before the colonizers woke up and felt no need to kill themselves in midday heat #Which is what's natural for an apex predator: lazing around #Like u see lions in big cuddle puddles during the hottest part of the day. And they have the privilege of laziness by being the top predato #Idk if lions have a specific time they hunt but ik they will hunt at night when people can't observe them #Also Europeans failed to recognize indigenous agriculture and the /purposeful / cultivation of helpful plants (done w/out clearing the land #And even if they were only foraging. Like. If you love the earth and care for it (and not clear it) the earth will love you back idk #Gah! a lot of people seem to use Entry #61 as 'proof' for the crux of the "Brian didn't care about Tim, he was Taking Advantage of Tim's conditions and Forcing him to work as part of totheark" thing, but honestly when you think about it there's no possible way Brian could have possibly orchestrated that series of events, like you almost have to interpret that as a baffling group of coincidences

#N posts stuff #mh lb #it's not like Brian has loads of mutual friends that he could ask to call Tim out one night; Tim's departure right as Brian showed up #just has to be a coincidence ; second yes. Brian does steal Tim's meds & that's a dick move but it's almost safe to assume #that Tim and Brian had been sharing prescriptions back in S1 - that's why the pills were at Brian's house that time Jay broke in #even if Tim no longer remembers that agreement it's not like Brian is brimming with other options so i can see the throughline of it #but there's NO way that Brian knew that 1) Tim was going to immediately turn around and come back home OR #2) be in the throes of an attack when he did so ; there's no Possible way he planned for that -- even if you Could assume that like. what #Brian 'knows' the operator is following him & Somehow orchestrated an encounter 1) no that doesn't make any sense and #2) that Still doesn't make any sense bc Tim has been Plenty Close to the Operator before w/ almost no negative effects (like in #Entry 17 when it's Right behind him) so there's no possible way Brian could have predicted that would unfold this way #sure it's weird he sets up the camera in the closet before Tim comes back but that Could Have been something unrelated #after all sometimes Brian DOES deliberately put himself on camera so someone knows he's responsible for something #or maybe he even planned to leave the camera there for later but it doesn't make Sense to interpret that as him Knowing what would happen #like don't get me wrong i'm not trying to say Brian is a pinnacle of ethics and moral behavior lmfao but also it's like #a kind of incomprehensible argument to make that he was Responsible for Triggering Tim's seizure that night when for all the #information Brian had on hand when he broke in he'd think Tim probably wouldn't be back home until much later #(''but the Creators Clearly intended'' yeah sure but since the creators also failed to establish a coherent series of events that SHOW #it then like. the intent doesn't matter anymore; sure they scripted the events in close succession but that doesn't mean they #scripted Intent & if they meant to then they did a bad job portraying it to the point the supposed intent is meaningless sorry lmao)#and EVEN IF you get this far and you're Still like 'but tim went after Jay and Brian would've Known he'd do that' like. no he wouldn't #because in Entry 18 when we see Tim have a seizure the first thing he does when jay approaches him after it is Run Away #so Again there's no consistent throughline of behaviors that Brian could have Possibly known about to orchestrate jack shit

9/11 is coming up in a few days and people are always so fucking weird about it. Like there's a bunch of boomers and older folk who didn't actually lose anyone to the event making some huge political symbol out of it, and now you've got Tiktokers and tumblr leftists meming about it as if it didn't happen in living memory.

I didn't lose anyone, but I did make a point to listen to people who have. There are so many people out there, especially online who will tell the stories about who they lost that day and how it affected them. It's not hard to find.

It just baffles me that the only ones who can seem to see that day for what it was were people who were personally affected by it.

#9/11 #I was ten when it happened so at the time I obviously didn't treat it with the gravity it deserved #but I was a literal child #some of you guys are adults now and seem to have the idea that it happened before you were born so you're exempt from showing empathy #there are still living survivors and their families #NYC is densely populated so that day traumatized a FUCK ton of people #please be nice #being traumatized by COVID doesn't exempt you either #I don't care how obnoxious your right-wing auntie is being about it #just because your family are failing to treat it with the gravity it deserves doesn't mean you should emulate their behavior

I love how open Taylor is about her emotions and her intrinsic need to feel and then share them. Even when it doesn’t work out for her, she still continues to wear her heart on her sleeve!! Again and again no matter how many times it takes!! Like when you think about her opening the tour with Invisible String on the setlist, the last minute drop of All of The Girls, followed by the breakup and immediate removal of Invisible String and then the “you know who are you, I love you” and lights camera bitch smiling of it all to reformatting the whole setlist and format of the show to incorporate the breakup anthems of a relationship she still was in when the tour began to throwing in “So High School” as the only song from the Anthology to make the setlist just because she’s THAT down bad kicking her feet and giggling for her new man!!
