Haze & Dew yeaaaaahhh

"...I, uh. Wanted to speak with you."

Haze squares her shoulders, staring at Dew expectantly. She hates how nervous she feels, this is very much unlike her. The fire ghoul hums, patting his pockets for his pack.

"Sure, Haze. What's up ?"

The ghoulette clears her throat, glad she's glamored and her tail isn't there to betray her nerves.

"Did I...do something ? Say something wrong ?"

Dew pauses, unlit cigarette now pinched between his lips, eyebrows furrowed.

"What ? No. Well, I don't think so anyway. Why're you asking me that ?"

His words are a bit muffled. Haze rubs the back of her neck, watches smoke swirl out of Dew's lips.

"Cirrus' been...distant, since yesterday. You know, when we played truth or dare ? I thought maybe I..."

Dew's face does something complicated, and he sighs, gesturing for Haze to come lean on the outside of the tour bus with him. The metal is cold, even through her jacket, but Dew radiates enough warmth that it's no bother.

"It's not you. I mean, not really. You just- did something very Cumulus-like, and it reminded Cirrus how much she misses her. She'll come around, don't worry. She actually likes you very much. It's just...hard on her."

Despite his constant insistance that he is shit with words, Dew is actually pretty good at comforting people. He probably doesn't even realize it himself, but it's one of the reasons Haze took such a liking so quickly to him. She shifts a bit, tries to think back on that night. She was a bit drunk- they all were, and struggles to remember what exactly it is she did that triggered memories.

"The pet names," Dew explains after a pause, "you called a few of us "sugar" and "honey" several times. It's...Cumulus does that a lot, it's kind of her trademark, and you usually don't, so we were all kind of taken aback. Nothing wrong about it, but...you know."

Haze feels her cheeks warm. Shit.

"Ah...fuck. I knew I shouldn't have drank. I get overly affectionate."

Dew chuckles, shakes his head. He offers his smoke to her, but she declines.

"It's fine. Pretty cute, actually. No one's mad at you, not even Cir. She just needs some time to process."

Haze hums, feeling the knot in her chest loosen a bit. Dew knocks the back of his free hand against hers, links their pinkies.

"Chin up, sweetheart, you're doing great. On stage, with the pack. We're glad to have you here, Haze."

The ghoulette smiles, shoves him playfully with her hip.

"So you do like me."

"Not as much as Rora apparently, she's been stuck to your side since you two met."

Haze laughs, unapologetic.

"What, jealous ? She's great. I didn't know a creature from hell could be so lovely."

Dew gasps in mock offense, gesturing to himself.

"You didn't ?"

Haze's smile grows, and privately, she thinks that it's going to be okay.

Her kimono is supposed to match with Sanji’s for the most part and her cute dress is what she wore while in wci arc—because yeah they kinda kidnapped her as further leverage over Sanji in this au :(…. (Of which I intend to write once I really catch up to wci and wano lol trying to read ahead is hard to do while working). Sora and the twins, Shinjiro(blond) and Takehiko(green), have a ten year age gap—also bonus fact, the twins are supposed to be premature, being born roughly around 35 weeks, which isnt even uncommon for twins in the first place, but I have nooooo idea how to really depict that because babies are hard to draw as isssssss lmao

Valkyr Prime No Forma Queen Steel Path Circuit Armor Strip Deluxe Build AKA Can We Get Much Higher

There's room for improvement (like adding forma and maxxing out the other arcane), but I don't feel like it right now.

Here's the Valkyr Prime mods & arcanes setup. Use Terrify (Nekros helminth) over ability 3 for armor strip ability. Use these archon shards to get the 100% armor strip too and good energy economy. Feel free to ask about any of these mod or build choices, this build is from like 2 years ago that one of my partners helped me set up and still going strong. Delusion helmet and Gersemi skin for appearance.

Prime Talons mod setup. Blast damage is the current meta as of December 2024 so you can see the original before Damage whatever number update point 0 we're at now compared to the original build.

Equip Naramon, it's extremely important for power scaling and end-game level damage.

Fully ranked up Power Spike is the only focus school stuff you need, but having the waybounds unbound is always good for operator/drifter survival, combat, and movement.

Manage your energy economy by getting parazon finisher kills on eximus units if you start running low, just edge the health bars until you see the prompt and your energy will shoot up to almost max if not max. More than half the time arcane energize should kick in and give you a boost on top of the archon shard energy boost (not sure if the effects of the shards and energize multiply/stack or not as I'm not a build math gal but it feels like it does).

Here you go @issilya and anyone else wanting a no forma Valkyr Prime that scales well into higher levels.
