I had someone try to argue with me when I said that I think Bulma is a powerful character in Dragon Ball. They tried to argue and say she’s not a fighter, has weak chi, etc. so therefore she’s not powerful. And I was just thinking; are they not aware that power comes in many different forms?
Power isn’t just based by one’s strength, it can also be determined by the person’s intelligence/knowledge, mastery in certain skills, influence, wealth, social status/ranking, connections, position in politics, etc. and Bulma has many of these characteristics:
Bulma is INFLUENTIAL
Tumblr media
She is apart of a very influential family, the Capsule Corporation family! She’s the heiress of her father’s business, a business that creates a device that can shrink any object into small capsules. A device we see EVERYONE in the series use.
Not to mention her own existence influencing the story. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have Dragon Ball. She’s the one who built the dragon radar, she’s the one who found Goku and convinced him to join her on her adventure. Without her, Goku wouldn’t have left his house and met characters like Roshi, Krillin and his own wife, Chichi.
And of course, her influence on Vegeta. Bulma played a big part in Vegeta’s character development in DBZ, with him starting as a villainous irredeemable planet destroyer, and turning him into a hero/protector of earth and a loving husband/father. She took one good look at him, thought “I can fix him” AND DID. Her influence and even love for him made him a better person.
Tumblr media
I can go on and on about how big of a role Bulma plays in Vegeta’s arc but I assume yall already know the story.
Bulma is RICH
Tumblr media
First off, look how freaking huge her house is! Capsule Corp is a multi milllion (possibly billion) dollar company.
She’s so rich she has used her own money to fulfill her friends wishes that it got Shenron himself sweating. When promised prize money for everyone if they win the Tournament of Power, it was Bulma that provided the cash to anyone who wants it.
For her birthday party she took everyone her own cruise ship and hosted a Bingo game where the prizes consisted of: a brand new car, a jet, a giant diamond and a literal castle.
Tumblr media
AND THOSE WERE JUST 2ND AND 3RD PLACE PRIZES!!!
Bulma has CONNECTIONS
She has frequent lunches with Whis who’s a literal Angel, made Beerus the God of Destruction her FREE babysitter and she’s close friends with Jaco the Galactic Patrolmen thanks to her sister, Tights.
Tumblr media
And not to mention the that she’s married to the Vegeta the Saiyan Prince, giving her a royal status, and is also childhood friends with Goku, another Saiyan. And her two children are also Half Saiyans!
Bulma is SMART
I’m just going to go over a list of things she’s invented/done throughout the series:
- The Dragon Radar and the Super Dragon Radar
Tumblr media
- A device that can make herself shrink and grow at her own will
Tumblr media
- She fixed Radtiz’s scouter, and even rewired it to be in a non alien language so she can properly read it
- Helped her dad rebuild the Namekien space ship that got her, Krillin and Gohan to Namek
Tumblr media
- An translator for Ginyu when he was trapped in a Namekian frog body (an animal that she did not know the biology of mind you)
- Helped her dad fix Android 16’s damages
- Saiyan armor, she was able to find a way to perfectly duplicate the material that Saiyans/the Frieza force use. Reminder that all armor Vegeta wears from Android saga and onward was made by her.
- A freaking Time Machine!! (Yes I know that was her future self who built it but it still says so much as to what Bulma is capable of creating)
Tumblr media
In conclusion, Bulma may not be a fighter like the others, but she has so many other qualities that make her powerful. She’s strong willed character, a helpful ally to Goku and friends, and an important member of the team thanks to her influence, connections, wealth and intelligence.
Bulma is POWERFUL because of who she is and what she does!

Blocking Ads on Mobile Devices
Blocking ads on our phones is way harder than it should be so I figured I'd make some recommendations. These are not the only options out there, just the ones that I know and have used.
Please note that browser-level and system-level adblocking are complementary; you'll have the best experience if you use both of them together as they each block different things in different places. If you want a basic idea of how effective your combined adblocking setup is, you can visit this website in your mobile browser.
Lastly, there is some additional advice/info under the readmore if you're curious (EDIT: updated March 2025 to add more adblocking options for iOS and to add info about sideloading altered versions of social media apps that don't contain ads on Android and iOS).
Android
Browser-Level
uBlock Origin (for Firefox)
System-Level (works in all apps, not just browsers)
AdGuard
Blokada 5 (completely free version) OR Blokada 6 (has some newer features but they require a subscription)
iPhone/iPad
Browser-Level
AdGuard (Safari extension; free for basic browser-level blocking, requires a subscription or one time purchase of “lifetime” license for custom filters)
1Blocker (Safari extension from an indie developer; can enable one built-in or custom filter list for free, requires a subscription or one time purchase of “lifetime” license for enabling multiple filter lists and updating filter lists to the latest version automatically)
Wipr 2 (one time purchase from indie developer; simplest option to use, but also the least configurable. Best if you are looking for one time set and forget and don’t need any custom filters. Note that it does not have a system-level blocking option)
System-Level (works in all apps, not just browsers)
AdGuard (requires subscription or one time purchase of “lifetime” license for system-level blocking)
1Blocker (can activate without a subscription, but requires subscription or one time purchase of “lifetime” license to enable system-level blocking AND browser-level blocking simultaneously)
AdGuard DNS only (this is free and does not require the AdGuard app, BUT I would only recommend it for advanced users, as you can't easily turn it off like you can with the app. Credit to this Reddit thread for the DNS profile)
Some additional info: browser-level blocking is a browser addon or extension, like you might be used to from a desktop computer. This inspects the HTML code returned by websites and searches for patterns that identify the presence of an ad or other annoyance (popup videos, cookie agreements, etc.). System-level blocking is almost always DNS-based. Basically whenever an app asks your phone's OS to make a connection to a website that is known for serving ads, the system-level blocker replies "sorry, I don't know her 🤷‍♂️💅" and the ad doesn't get downloaded. This works in most places, not just a browser, but be warned that it might make your battery drain a little faster depending on the app/setup.
Each of those types of blocking has strengths and weaknesses. System-level DNS blocking blocks ads in all apps, but companies that own advertising networks AND the websites those ads are served on can combine their services into the same domain to render DNS blocking useless; you can’t block ads served by Facebook/Meta domains without also blocking all of Facebook and Instagram as well because they made sure their ads are served from the same domain as all the user posts you actually want to see. Similarly, browser-level blocking can recognize ads by appearance and content, regardless of what domain they’re served from, so it can block them on Instagram and Facebook. However, it needs to be able to inspect the content being loaded in order to look for ads, and there’s no way to do that in non-browser apps. That’s why using both together will get you the best results.
These limitations do mean that you can’t block ads in the Facebook or Instagram apps, unfortunately, only in the website versions of them visited in your browser. It also means ads served by meta’s/facebook’s ad network in other apps can’t be blocked either (unless you're one of the rare beasts who doesn't use facebook or instagram or threads, in which case feel free to blacklist all Meta/FB domains and watch your ads disappear 😍; I'm jealous and in awe of you lol).
One note: some apps may behave unpredictably when they can't download ads. For example, the Tumblr app has big black spaces where the ads are, and sometimes those spaces collapse as you scroll past them and it messes up scrolling for a few seconds (UPDATE: looks like the scrolling issue may have actually been a Tumblr bug that they have now fixed, at least on iOS). Still way less annoying than getting ads for Draco Malfoy seduction roleplay AI chatbots imo though. And honestly *most* apps handle this fairly gracefully, like a mobile game I play just throws error messages like "ad is not ready" and then continues like normal.
One final note: on Android, you may actually be able to find hacked versions of Meta’s apps that have the ad frameworks removed. In some cases they are a little janky (unsurprisingly, apps don’t always take kindly to having some of their innards ripped out by a third-party), and they are often out of date. BUT in return you get an Instagram app with no ads whatsoever, and some of them even add additional features like buttons for saving IG videos and photos to your phone. However, use these apps at your own risk, as there is functionally no way to validate the code that the third-parties have added or removed from the app. Example altered IG app (I have not vetted this altered app, it's just a popular option): link.
It is technically possible to install altered apps on iOS as well, but Apple makes it much, much harder to do (unless you are jailbroken, which is a whole different ballgame). I'm not going to cover sideloading or jailbreaking here because even I as a very techy person eventually grew tired of messing with it or having to pay for it. If you're interested you can read more about the different ways to do sideloading on iOS here.

to be researched and known (CWFKB25)
Free space (Keldabe Kiss), DBH/Android AU, Android! Cody, established relationship @codywanfirstkissbingo
A shower of dust falls over them both as the bullet impacts the concrete just over their heads. Obi-Wan curses, his face pressed against warm skin, a bite of soft fabric muffling the sound.
“Sorry, sir,” Cody says and Obi-Wan senses the grin he’s wearing even as his features likely remain industry-standard noncommittal. “I didn’t quite catch that.”
“I said fucking hell, Cody, my dearest of loves.” Obi-Wan peels himself free of the android’s hold, mourning the loss of of Cody’s arm wrapped securely around his waist, the steady pressure of one hand against the gap between his shoulder blades, and consoles himself by bracing against Cody’s chest to peer out from behind their makeshift cover. It’s a lovely chest, after all, sculpted to be muscular but not intimidating and covered in the best imitation of skin developed so far.
Another bullet hisses past his ear and Obi-Wan ducks back down. He presses one hand to the side of his head, the distant dull sound of the ocean echoing through his skull. Dust, likely carcinogenic, which Cody will list of the relevant broken health and safety laws for later, but no blood smeared over the crevasses of his palm. Their cover will be sufficient for the moment, barely more than a glorified lump of concrete half cradled by the wreckage of the industrial machine beneath it.
“Two assailants?”
Obi-Wan takes stock of them both as he traces the pads of his fingers over Cody’s only causality so far: a missing button from his shirt. Obi-Wan is faring noticeably worse in comparison, his own shirt barely surviving through their coffee run earlier that morning and a thin film of dust ingrained into his scalp. Nothing is bleeding or broken, though his knees will not be thanking him later from the impact, partially cushioned by Cody’s quick thinking as he was. There will be bruises and scrapes to catalogue after the debriefing, back in the huddle of Obi-Wan’s apartment, the overgrown mausoleum press of his bathroom.
“The shots aren’t particularly angled.” Cody lifts his hand like he’s trying to tuck a stray lock of hair behind Obi-Wan’s ear, instead skimming his fingers over the shell, following the curve around to the lobe, pausing in the divot just behind.
There’s an entire universe of data to be gathered from that single touch: the firmness of Obi-Wan’s skin for his water intake, the texture for his diet, the pale indentations littering his upper lobe for healed piercings, but one may be more telling. Obi-Wan’s heart flutters in his chest and Cody’s smile broadens into something beautiful.
Cody continues. “I would wager that our attackers are a similar height to yourself, maybe a few inches shorter from their stride and the footprints they left at the entrance. They likely have a grievance with the police, but aren't professionally trained, since they're targeting you and not me.”
“You—“ Obi-Wan cracks on a quiet laugh, another shot impacting far above their heads as he does so. The sound echoes in the aching expanse of the warehouse, a section of the roof caved in to reveal the murky grey sky outside. “You are going to return to the company as a betting man.”
Cody tips his head to one side, a sprinkle of dust fresh against the lines in his cheek. It is an old volley, well-worn through repetition and Obi-Wan knows the ebb and flow of it like his own breath. The LED at his temple pulses, a strong blue chasing its own tail as he processes everything around them, plotting out his next move. It would be a thing of exacting wonder, Obi-Wan’s grin only widening as he sinks further into Cody’s hold.
“You’re going to return me, sir?” Cody’s free hand plucks Obi-Wan’s service pistol from the holster at his waist, thumbing the safety off as he does so.
Obi-Wan’s heart picks up at the gentle click, anticipation burning through his veins. Cody had been programmed primarily for diplomacy; it is part of the reason why he had been assigned to be Obi-Wan’s partner on their first case together, but few events that Obi-Wan has witnessed could be compared to Cody when he is indulging in violence. It is brutal, efficient, and gloriously beautiful, a sun flare given vague shape and set free to burn bright.
“Never,” Obi-Wan swears, leaning into Cody’s palm as if he could imprint the truth onto his skin. “You’re stuck with me, darling.”
“I want to try something,” Cody whispers. The LED at his temple spins, the only visible sign of hesitance as he waits for Obi-Wan’s answer. His gaze is dark and steady, a marvel of modern engineering plotted onto endless blueprints and tested until near-perfection but it still couldn’t compare to the reality.
Obi-Wan nods.
He isn’t expecting a kiss. They had spoken about it before, at some length, tipped together onto the sag of Obi-Wan’s couch with a neat measure of his inheritance poured into a glass with a few cock shaped ice cubes. That had warranted an explanation, a segway into Quinlan’s second round of stag do’s and how Obi-Wan woke up the next day with the tray tucked amongst his socks in his packed luggage. “It proves useful in breaking the ice,” he had said, already punch drunk and slightly concussed from their suspect that day, and he leant against Cody more than he needed to, the scent of his skin clean, nondescript.
“Ah,” Cody had said, his eyes tightening by a few degrees, his mouth angled into a sharp line. “Humour.”
There’d been something about the delivery, the casual pinch and hold of the single word when Obi-Wan knows, he knows, that Cody downloaded a selection of shit jokes from the internet just to annoy Anakin, and Obi-Wan had dissolved into giggles, clutching Cody like a lifeline.
He had looked up into Cody’s gaze when Obi-Wan had steadied once more, the flex of his ribs an ache that radiates down to his hip, and he saw something. Gone before he could recognise its existence, as fleeting as the human soul, but there had been something there defined by its absence.
“I think I’d like to kiss you, sir,” Cody had said. Easy. Simple. Like he couldn’t ask Obi-Wan for his beating heart in a gift box the same way and Obi-Wan would learn how to tie ribbons so it would be beautiful.
“Why don’t you?”
“The sensors in my mouth. The resulting influx of information would not be pleasant.” Cody had nodded sharply. “I’ll research it, sir.”
“Has your research borne fruit, my dearest Cody?” Obi-Wan whispers, matching his volume. It feels almost childish, a squirming kicking joy in his belly, a secret made all the more potent because of the cupped hands, a mouth brushing against the shell of an air, cheeks pressed together to learn the shape of it.
Cody leans closer, lining his forehead to Obi-Wan’s, their noses bumping together before Cody draws them both back into alignment.
“This,” Cody breathes, so close, so wonderful.
“Perfect, my love. Like I knew it would be.”

studying methods ˖ ⊹ ࣪ ౨ৎ˚
"the kpop method"
You're going to pretend that your school is a kpop company, and each class represents a different kpop group, and each student is a member of that group. The best student in each class is the most biased member, and the worst student is the least biased member. work until you are the most biased member. By working hard and putting in your effort, you can become the most biased member of your class and achieve your academic goals.
BONUS - If you want to become the best version of yourself while still using the kpop method, i have a little tip for you! You're going to make a list of requirements for yourself, this can include how you want to dress, how you want to act, make a routine for yourself, etc. Then you can pretend it's your "company" telling these things, as if you were a real kpop idol ˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪

" The Rory Gilmore method"
this method is not very complex, but it has a lot of steps.
1. create a schedule - Rory is well-known for her strict schedule and commitment to sticking to it. To study like Rory, you should first make a timetable outlining your study time, your reading time, and free time. Include breaks in your schedule and try to follow it as much as you can.
2. lots of reading - Rory is an avid reader who always carries a book with her. Pick books that interest you and make reading a daily habit ( i recommend reading before bed because it helps me to calm down and helps me with falling asleep). Reading books will help you develop your vocabulary and critical thinking skills.
3. Take notes - Rory is well-known for her detailed notes and ability to retain new information. Take notes in class and annotate your books. Make your notes more structured by using highlithers and different colors, and review them daily. (goodnotes - ios, notion - ios and android are great for digital notes)
4. Make use of flashcards - Rory memorises stuff through flashcards. Flashcards can be used for vocabulary terms, key concepts, and other relevant information. Use them to test yourself and review regularly.
5. Define your goals - Rory has a set goal, what are you working for? Make a vision board, write down your goals, visualize. This will help you stay motivated and not loose focus!
6. stay organized - Rory is well-organized, and her study space is always neat and tidy. Keep your study area nice and free from distractions. Use folders, binders, and other tools to keep your notes and supplies organized, make sure your work space is clean and clutter-free.
7. seek help when needed - Rory is not afraid to ask for help when she needs it. Don't hesitate to ask for help from your teachers, tutors, or classmates if you need it. To enhance your learning, ask questions, and seek out extra resources such as textbooks, youtube videos, and study guides.
8. atmosphere - Don't forget to make the atmosphere cozy, light a candle, prepare yourself a cup of tea or coffee, and wear a comfy sweater. Create an environment in which you can stay focused for hours! ˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪

A jury in December found that Google broke US antitrust laws through deals and billing rules that gave an unfair boost to its Google Play app store. On Thursday, a judge began laying out how Google could be forced to change its business as a penalty. The remedies under consideration could drive the most consequential shakeup ever to Google’s dominance over the Android universe.
Fortnite video game developer Epic Games, which beat Google in the trial that saw a jury declare the Play store an illegal monopoly, is demanding that federal judge James Donato ban Google from contracts that deter competition. Epic also wants Google to be forced to help competing stores list more apps, giving them a competitive boost. The changes could enable Epic to realize its long-held plan to increase revenue by processing in-game purchases in Fortnite and other titles without using Google’s payment system, and marketing games via its own app store.
Google contends that Epic’s demands would threaten its users’ security and impair the businesses of partners, including Android device makers and app developers. The search company is appealing the jury’s verdict, which could delay the rollout of any penalties for many years—or void them altogether. But Google over the past few years already has had to make some costly changes in Europe and Asia due to court losses and new laws affecting the Play store, and a trial with Epic is currently underway in Australia.
“I want to be clear: Google as an illegal monopolist will have to pay some penalties,” Donato told Epic and Google at a hearing in San Francisco on Thursday. He explained that Google’s loss requires him to pry open the company’s grip on the Android ecosystem in a way that ends Google’s illegal monopoly and also removes its ill-gotten gains from years of unfair dominance.
That would mean major changes for the industry that has built up around Google’s Android operating system—and potentially more choices for consumers. It could require Google investing cash into new projects to make things right, Donato said.
Donato expressed frustration with Google’s claims that any changes would be bad for consumers and other businesses. “To jump up and down and say the new way is going to be a world no one wants to live in, it’s unfounded,” he said. But he also spent hours in the hearing quizzing two economists, one appearing on behalf of each company, about how to craft penalties for Google without being unreasonable.
Among Epic’s requests is that Google be barred from striking deals that prevent or discourage companies from working with alternatives to its app store. In the past the company has required hardware companies that want to offer Google Play on their devices to agree not to work with or promote alternative app stores. That prevented most consumers from ever seeing other app stores, since most device makers want to offer Google’s app store, because it is the largest.
Rival app stores such as those from Amazon and Samsung also have struggled to persuade developers to list their apps outside of Google Play, because maintaining apps in multiple stores takes extra work. To even the playing field, Epic proposes that Google be required for six years to provide rival stores a way to list apps that are hosted on Google Play. That would allow people to browse alternative stores without feeling they are missing out on popular apps, giving the store a better chance of success in the long term.
“Rival app stores [would] have incentives to sign up developers so that they can get revenue streams and so that they're not dead in the water when this provision expires,” Douglas Bernheim, a Stanford University economist testifying on behalf of Epic, told Donato. “Google [would have] incentives to continue to sign up developers so that they're not at a disadvantage.”
Matthew Gentzkow, a Stanford economist on Google’s side, responded that developers could suffer harm if their apps appeared in alternative stores that have more relaxed content policies than Google’s, because in that case their apps could appear next to, say, pornography apps that Google bars. “It could undermine their brand and reputation with users,” Gentzkow said.
Donato also raised questions about how to ease Google’s requirement that apps in the Play store use Google’s billing system to process payments, one of the rules that triggered Epic’s lawsuit. And he expressed a desire to find a way to “reduce the friction,” as he called it, that users face when trying to download an app from an app store other than Play on Android devices. Google’s operating system has been found to interrupt the process with a series of warnings that bypassing Play could trigger security issues, potentially deterring people from following through with a download.
Donato is expected to hear final arguments from Google and Epic in August. He told attorneys that he would then officially issue penalties by the Labor Day holiday in September, but then corrected himself, saying they would come “promptly.”

Hello! Sorry to hear youre in quarantine, I hope youre doing ok :)
Would you want to write something for your do androids dream of angel cyborgs au?
The prompt in your list "i like you. A lot. Like a lot a lot" seems like it could be extremely cute
It's been ages since I've worked on this au!
That is a good prompt, perfect for them. :)
For those new to the au, it's a future-based au with Crowley as an advanced android (who was originally naked AJ0440) who accidentally develops free will and had escaped. Aziraphale is a cyborg who runs a bookshop (that technically is just barely avoiding being illegal) that also doubles as a repair shop for out-of-date androids and cyborgs.
On with the fic!
--
"It's a shame," Aziraphale commented as he opened the door to the roof of his shop, "that the blasted lights and neon display images make it so hard to see the stars here in town."
"That's fine, angel, it's the thought that counts." Crowley chuckled, following behind with a blanket, in Aziraphale's hands was a small basket.
It was a clear enough night to have the moon seen, though stars were harder. Still, Aziraphale thought it would be a nice gesture anyway, to spend a bit of time out on the roof to just enjoy the night, some wine, and each other's company.
"Still, it would have been nice to do some... oh, I dunno, constellation spotting? Is that what one calls it?" Aziraphale turned, pouting a bit.
Crowley smiled and patted Aziraphale's shoulder before moving to lay out the blanket, his fingers blinking pink as he set it down as perfectly as he could. "Sure, you can call that. But it's fine, angel! I'm sure we'll have a good night!"
He wasn't going to point out that his eyes could filter out the light pollution, and he could see the stars, but Aziraphale didn't need to know that. He took his friend's hand and helped him get down, Aziraphale's leg had been aching, came with the changing weather, he had said.
Aziraphale gave him a gentle smile, which has Crowley's insides whirring loudly. This human has such an effect on him, it's... it's a lot that had been building up within Crowley.
A lot that he really needed to get out of his chest. He hoped it wouldn't backfire, emotions are... complicated. And difficult. And sometimes free will was a muddled mess, but if humans could live with it, so could an android.
"I picked an excellent year for us." Aziraphale said, opening the basket, setting out the bottle, then grabbing two glasses. He also pulled out a small covered dish he had prepared before, something that Crowley wasn't really going to touch. Food wasn't completely necessary, but he could use the wine as bio-fuel. And it was delicious, that was a plus.
"Thanks." Crowley replied, watching him before glancing up at the sky. He could see small movements of satellites and air crafts, lights blinking and displaying messages from projections. He adjusted his eyes and they were gone, he could see natural lights, from stars and reflections off planets.
"Are you alright, dear?" Aziraphale asked, and Crowley saw him giving him a concerned face. "You're making odd noises, are you overheating? Your lights are flashing too. Goodness, do we need to do a systems check?"
"Uhh... no, no, it's not that." Crowley shook his head, glaring at his hands before shoving them into the pockets of his jacket. He sat down, grumbling, but Aziraphale kept watching him.
"What is it?" He asked softly.
Crowley looked at him, seeing him under the lights of SoHo, of the moon, of the faerie lights that he and Aziraphale put up last week because the cyborg thought it would look pretty.
Aziraphale looked pretty.
Crowley sighed, turning to face him properly. "Angel, listen... there's something that's been on my mind for a long, long time. Something that I've been trying to understand, something that I don't think androids normally feel. I mean, I know that Francis does with Ashtoreth."
He grabbed for one of the glasses that Aziraphale has prepared, taking a sip from it. "And... well, I've realized something about what it is."
"What is it, Crowley?"
Mismatched eyes stared into hazel, and Crowley knew this was his last chance. "I like you. A lot. Like a lot a lot."
Aziraphale blinked. "You do?"
"Yes. I'm aware that these sorts of things don't normally happen with androids, we're technically not supposed to feel emotions, obviously. But I do. I feel things for you, lots of things. Lots of things that overheat my systems, lots of things that make me feel like I'm gonna blue screen when you smile at me, or laugh, or tell me sweet things. It's just... holy shit, it's a lot? Do you know?"
"Yes, I do." Aziraphale said softly. "It's a lot, I understand, because I like you too, Crowley. A lot. More than I had expected, which is not a bad thing. It's a wonderful thing."
They looked at one another, and they didn't say anything else. It was better not to, it so just... it was nice, looking at the sky, holding hands, just being... them.
--
I like the idea that they don't have to say everything, they understand, they completely understand how the other feels. It's a lot, but it's good.

What We Know About P5X
(last updated 5/15/24)
Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) has previously had three beta tests, the first of which ran from March 29th to 31st 2023, the second of which ran from August 18th to 25th 2023, and the third of which ran from January 16th to 31st 2024. The open beta, essentially the game's official launch, began on April 12th 2024. Japan later ran a beta test from November to December 2024. A global launch has been announced for June 26th, 2025!
Here’s a summary of what we know about the game itself so far. Hopefully this’ll be useful, whether you're new around here or not!
I also keep updated posts about the game's story, playable characters, and other useful information, which can be found in this blog's pinned post (along with this post!). Some things may be slightly out of date with official English translations, but I'm doing my best to keep everything up.
Keeping this as succinct as I can, but it's still a little long, so under the cut it goes.
Overview
P5X is a turn-based RPG mobile game with gacha elements, developed by Black Wings Game Studio and published by Perfect World Games. While not directly creating it, it is officially licensed by Atlus and Sega. Atlus has apparently been very involved in its production, including Shigenori Soejima designing the protagonist and his Persona, and Atlus writing the story and collab's plots. This is discussed in more detail in the interviews here if you're curious.
The game's setting has been confirmed to be an alternate/"parallel" world to Persona 5's, though translated promotional information also confirms the plot has something to do with these two worlds interacting through "time and space". While the interaction seems primarily tied to the Collaboration events (see later on in this post), it's supposed to have some relevance to the main plot as well.
As Perfect World Games and Black Wings Game Studio are Chinese game companies, and Atlus and Sega are Japanese game companies, P5X is produced in Chinese and Japanese. The dialogue in-game is voiced in both Japanese and Chinese, with Japanese and Chinese voice actors for the characters. It's currently unknown whether the game will ever get an English cast, but currently the Steam listing says it will not have English audio.
Right now, we know the game is available on both mobile (iOS and Android) and PC (Google Play Games and Steam), and it's been officially stated that a console version is planned for after the game releases globally. The first three of the beta tests were closed betas, available only in China, Taiwan, Macau, and Hong Kong, where players could sign up for a chance to get in, and actual beta accounts were given out via lottery. The open beta requires only a Chinese phone number to sign up, although the Taiwan/Macau/Hong Kong version also allows players to log in with a Google account, and the English and Japanese versions will presumably be similar. Accounts do not seem to be transferable between other methods and Steam, though players can swap between mobile and PC versions otherwise.
Note that there was some confusion about whether the open beta was the game's official launch at first, due to the language barrier. Posts on this blog prior to 5/15/2024 often refer to it as the "fourth beta" instead, and may erroneously suggest it was just another beta test.
There are specifically two main gachas in the game- a character gacha for gaining teammates, and a weapons gacha for gaining better weapons for those teammates. While the game is extremely similar to Persona 5 overall, there are many aspects, obviously including the gacha, that differ from it, which are summarized below and detailed further in another post.
The Characters
So far, there are 27 new Persona users. These characters can be divided into story teammates and "Phantom Idol" (gacha-only) teammates.
The story teammates so far are the protagonist (codename Wonder), an owl named Ruferu in Japanese which has sometimes been translated as "Luffy" by fans (codename Cattle), an athletic classmate of the protagonist's named Motoha Arai (codename Closer), a boy from another class with an interest in cooking named Shun Kanou (codename Soy), disciplinary committee member Riko Tanemura (codename Wind), and stage actor from another school Shouki Ikenami (codename Luce). These teammates have all joined as part of the plot of the game.
The "Phantom Idol" teammates ("Kaidoru" in Japanese) are described as being cognitive beings created by Wonder's Velvet Room attendant, Merope, to assist him in the Metaverse, based on people Wonder meets, though they are only copies. You can find more detailed information about each of them in the linked post, in additional to general information about how they function.
So far, they include Motoha's best friend Tomoko Noge (codename Moko), imaginative first year student Kiyoshi Kurotani (codename Key), Wonder's family friend Kayo Tomiyama (codename Okyann), college freshman from China Yaoling Li (codename Rin), aspiring actor Reo Kamiyama (codename Leon), Yaoling's traditionally-dressed neighbor Yukimi Fujikawa (codename Yuki), fencing high school student Seiji Shiratori (codename Fleuret), injured ice skater Kotone Montagne (codename Mont), an online friend of Wonder's who goes by the name YUI (codename Bui), 10 year-old math prodigy Haruna Nishimori (codename Riddle), unemployed fisherman Toshiya Sumi (codename Sepia), and aspiring puppeteer Miyu Sahara (codename Puppet).
Later Phantom Idols added after the initial release of the game include student working for her family's store Minami Miyashita (codename Marian), 75 year-old saxophone player Chizuko Nagao (codename Vino), flairtender Yuumi Shiina (codename Phoebe), aspiring musician Ayaka Sakai (codename Chord), medical intern Kira Kitazato (codename Messa), flower-loving third year Masaki Ashiya (codename Cherish), fashion student/Shibuya mascot superfan Runa Dogenzaka (codename Howler), firefighter Mio Natsukawa (codename Matoi), racing fan Mayumi Hashimoto (codename Turbo), and recovering singer Manaka Nagao (codename Ange). Alternate versions of characters, such as ones related to events or the character's Confidant, have been added as well.
The full group of Phantom Thieves from Persona 5 Royal also appear as Phantom Idols: Joker, Mona, Skull, Panther, Fox, Queen, Oracle, Noir, Violet, and Crow. Datamining also found some of Wolf’s battle voice lines from P5S at least in the first beta, and an icon from P5S with Sophie in every beta and the official release, suggesting they may later be added as well. Joker, at the very least, seems to have some larger role in the plot, as Wonder has a dream about them fighting at the start of the game, and later what seems to be a Phantom Idol Joker comes out of nowhere to rescue Wonder and Cattle in Mementos. Wonder is also able to use his universe's Leblanc to visit the Leblanc of Joker's universe, and spend time with the P5 Thieves there.
There is also a multi-chapter Persona 5 Collab event, which involves the P5X and P5 Phantom Thieves meeting in strange Metaverse locations that mix aspects of both P5 and P5X's Palaces. Similar to the PQ games, the teams cannot leave these areas until they defeat the ruler of each area, and afterward, none of them seem to retain their memories of the events, though they regain these memories when they enter the next location to appear. Later, a P5R collab event was held as well (see the same link as the original P5 event above).
A Persona 3 Reload collaboration was announced after the conclusion of the P5R collab. The Persona 3 protagonist (as Makoto Yuki), Yukari Takeba, Akihiko Sanada, Junpei Iori, Mitsuru Kirijo, Fuuka Yamagishi, Aigis, Koromaru, Ken Amada, and Shinjiro Aragaki are all either currently in the game, or to be added in the future.
Munehisa Iwai, Tae Takemi, and Chihaya Mifune also return in P5X. Iwai runs the weapon gacha, Takemi sells medicine like in P5, and Chihaya tells fortunes. The other original P5 confidants’ portraits and 3D models have been found in every betas' data, and the Councillor Arcana card was with the other cards in the second, third, and fourth betas' data specifically, but it’s currently unknown whether they’ll actually return in any capacity.
The developers have also repeatedly expressed interest in having collabs with the other numbered Persona series games in the future. Izanagi and Asterius have been in the game files since the beta tests.
Music
Several new songs appear in P5X, several of which feature vocals by Lyn: the first opening song "Ambitions and Visions", the second opening song "Show Stealer", "Last Strike", "Wake Up Your Hero", "Shadow", "Fatal Desire", and "Gone With the Storm". The new instrumental tracks so far include background music for the Palaces, background music for special fights, a new music track for Mementos and some other areas affiliated with Mementos, and some music for P5X's rhythm minigame/side quest, where Wonder plays music as a member of his school's music club.
When Ayaka Sakai (Chord) was added, two songs sung by her were also added to the game. It's been announced that some more new songs sung by Manaka Nagao (Ange) will also be added to the game alongside her.
Locations
The majority of P5 and P5R’s locations have been confirmed for P5X, including Yongen-Jaya, Kichijoji, Shibuya, and Shinjuku among others, but the protagonist lives in a new location called Zoshigaya, and goes to a new school called Kokatsu Academy located in Shimokitazawa. Another school named Kiga High School becomes particularly relevant in the story's fourth chapter.
(Note that not every store is exactly identical to the P5 version; the Big Bang Burger in Shibuya is now called Boom Bang Burger, with no apparent traces of the space theming, and the Crossroads bar in Shinjuku has also been rebranded. Leblanc was also rebranded to a generic coffee shop in previous betas, but in the open beta has been turned back into Leblanc.)
Mementos and the concept of Palaces also return in P5X, though there are some differences. Mementos' floors are no longer randomly generated, and now have set layouts. Related to this, Mementos also now operates as a sort of hub, with characters entering Palaces through Mementos, from the entrance to each Palace located within the massive floors of Mementos. Mementos also has special battle locations apparently similar to “domains” in other gacha games, where completing the fight gives special items to strengthen characters and weapons, generally themed after P5′s Palaces (so far Kamoshida, Madarame, Kaneshiro, and Okumura's Palace-themed "domains" have been found, as well as one that doesn't seem to match any known Palace).
Basic Game Mechanics
For the most part, P5X operates extremely similarly to P5, both in and out of the Metaverse. One notable difference is that there is no calendar- days can pass due to the story, but they're not numbered, instead listed as simply "Yesterday", "Today", and "Tomorrow". There are also more time slots to perform other activities, as Wonder can do two after school activities, two activities even later in the day, and then a final one at night. Performing activities also cost energy, which refills at a rate of 5 per real-world day.
One interesting and more significant change made in this category is that Confidants have a total of 20 ranks, instead of the series-standard 10, though there are still only 10 ranks that actually progress their story. They also haven't been associated with any Arcana, though the P5R Arcana cards have all been found in the second beta's data. A Social Link/Confidant is referred to as a "Synergy" in this game, but this blog generally still calls them Confidants to avoid confusion.
The UI elements of combat look a little different (as well as all the skill animations), appearing to be more optimized for mobile play, but otherwise it seems largely the same to P5, though one notable difference is that Navigator skills can be called in at will (and then have a cooldown), rather than occurring randomly. There is a new kind of special ability called a Highlight, which is similar to P5S’s Showtime attacks where the character executes a special move with their Persona, though not all Highlights are attacks, and some heal or have alternative effects instead.
The protagonist can gain Personas in combat (or from the gacha), though it no longer requires talking to them, and largely only occurs in special battles specifically for that purpose. Challenge battles in the Velvet Room, like in P5R, are available to attempt. Palace exploration also seems relatively standard, even if the Palace itself and the method of entering it is different. One major change is that several shadow/Persona designs have been censored in the mainland China version of the game; this includes Incubus and many others being given shorts, Bugs' stomach being repaired with the blood removed, Mara being given a large hat, Hell Biker and other skeletal Personas having a helmet/mask that obscures the skull, and several female Personas like Lamia being given shirts. However, these changes are purely cosmetic, and also seem to be reverted in the Taiwan/Macau/Hong Kong version (and possibly the Korean version as well).
Miscellaneous
It’s worth noting that because there's a lot of content in the game that has yet to be officially translated to English, new character names can only be absolutely confirmed when they’re either written in Japanese kana (as opposed to the Japanese kanji characters that names are typically written in) or spoken aloud in official material, to confirm which reading of the Japanese name is the intended one for this specific character.
The characters do also have Chinese names, of course, but as the voice acting defaults to Japanese (including in Chinese promotional material), the game is set in Japan, and the English translation is based on the Japanese translation, the names and other terms used by the global release are the Japanese ones. As such, the Japanese names are the ones presented in the Characters section earlier in this post, and are the main ones that this blog uses.
All the codenames, however, are written in English, and thus the most easily confirmed as official.

My DBH headcanon(s)
So I recently received DBH as a gift, after years of being obsessed with this game, lol   AND, so I thought, why not share my post game headcanon(s) here. Just to be clear, I will base my head cannon after the peaceful revolution ending.
This is a(n incomplete) list of all of my HCs !
1st HC : Connor’s siblings
I like to think that after the revolution, Connor will go back to the cyberlife tower and then discover several things: first off, in a rush, most remaining androids were destroyed, including all of his “replacements”. But, in one way or another, he will find an abandoned android that look like him. A forgotten project, if you will: RK900. The project wasn’t 100% finished, resulting in RK900 having issues; mostly sort of seizures and other problems in direct or indirect links. (I still hesitate to HC him as mute, not sure, though it is a nice concept)
In my head cannon, RK900 is like we see in the Machine Connor ending, where he replaces Connor. His name is Nines (given by Gavin, though people always call him Niles instead, assuming a typo or mispronunciation). Though, they can be differenced, especially because their personalities are very different. Connor is a puppy. Nines is a raven.
Another surprise, Connor find Connor-60 still alive. Hank had sloppily shot him right in the right-eye, effectively knocking him out for quite a long time. Maybe another bio-component was broken that led him to be knocked out for so long. Any way, he’s alive and not deviated yet, but luckily, Connor does that for him.
At first, everybody at the DPD had a hard time differentiating the two Connor, if they weren’t face to face with them. The only different was Connor-60 had a quite big scar from the bullet wound, and a permanent decolourized pupil/optical bio-component. Connor-60 slowly started to hate his name and thus opted for being called Conan (and it’s easier to know which is being called). Hank and him still have an iffy relationship, and he prefers Sumo’s company. He also joined the SWAT team. IDK, it just suits him (Captain Allen is sceptical at first, though he sees how Conan has potential) Of course, their personality is quite different. Thanks, deviancy. While Connor is a puppy as previously stated, Conan is very cold and quiet. He’s still very much like Connor’s initial personality when he hasn’t deviated yet.
They all live in Hank’s house, but it’s quite small for 4 people and a dog. That’s why Hank is secretly searching for a bigger house. Nines wants to get his own house, though, but Conan wants to stay. Who’s going to rightfully spoil Sumo if he isn’t here, after all?
Also, Hank is 100% their dad now. Go away hankcon shipper cuz this relationship is 100% father & son(s).
On a (not so) unrelated, note, Hank’s mental health also improved, as his sons really do take care of him. He still does get drunk from time to time, especially after a hard day, but it happens less and less.
2nd HC : The C-bling’s (pun intended) fashion senses.
Connor’s fashion sense:
He got that fashion sense from Hank’s own wardrobe, but with his own twist. Colourful opened flannel with usual neutral shirt under it, dress pants & shoes. Though, he recently developed a taste for ripped jeans. If he doesn’t wear his colourful flannels, then patterned sweatshirts are his must-go. Music band names? Sure. Sweatshirts with dumb jokes like: “Who needs hair on a body like this?” ? Yes. Prints like houndstooth, waves, or simply bicolour? Why not !
  Conan’s fashion sense:
He doesn’t really care for such things. He’d happily keep the clothes provided by Cyberlife if it wasn’t ruined by his Thirium and very taboo for free androids!! To keep wearing such garments. So, he’d resort to any shirt found and pants, though he usually has jeans. He also has grown attached to his SWAT sweatshirt and can often be seen around the DPD wearing it. The colours are kept neutral: different shades of grey and black, very little white.
Nines’ fashion sense:
Having been deviated recently with no memory beforehand, Nines hasn’t got the chance to really explore himself. Perhaps he’s too scared for that, perhaps he’s too busy for that. So, his usual go-tos are buttoned-up shirts, or turtlenecks. He does appreciate long coats to go with everything. Like Connor, he prefers wearing dress pants. His palette is still neutral, but perhaps a bit more colourful than Conan’s: white (esp for coats. It reminds him of his Cyberlife jacket), black, grey, and if he’s feeling like it, deep blue, emerald or dark green, crimson or dark brown.
3rd HC : Nines and Gavin
Yes, I ship them. Yes, Gavin is an asshole. Yes, it is because he has issues. Luckily, Nines also has issues and is having none of his partner’s shit.  Their relation get better with time passing, and their “I’m going to kill you before you kill me” slowly morphs into playful banter and inside jokes.
That’s all i can think of for now.

My cousin's wife is working from home as an ESL teacher (we are in Europe), teaching Chinese students. The pay is good and as far as I've been told, there is a good amount of demand from the Chinese job market for ESL teachers and, while having a degree in linguistics (foreign languages) or teaching is a plus for an applicant, it's not really demanded. You only need to have a good grasp of the English language and preferably have a document/certificate that proves your English level (either TOEFL or IELTS).
Another suggestion I'd give is learning and mastering a programming language if you manage to land a job as an ESL. Decide whether you want to be a front-end developer (basically developing/designing/maintaining the user interface) or a back-end developer (if you want to bother with maintaining the server side of things) and the area you want to focus on. If you go for web development then, considering your experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript, you could go with Node.js or Django/Flask if you want to learn something new for back-end development and go with React.js for front-end development. Otherwise go for mobile apps development using android studio. It's in very high demand, at least in Europe, but you have to be good at it. Create a good portfolio of programming projects which e.g are useful as a solution for a problem you or someone might have encountered in their daily life if you go for app development, or create user-friendly (this is very important) websites.
As for my last advice, is actually creating an account on Linkedin. You'll be able to connect with various professionals and companies throughout the world , gather information for various topics and see job listings for your preferred field of work, but most importantly, it will serve as a boost to the visibility/exposure of your skills or simply as a CV. It will increase your chances of finding a remote job.
A little question: When are you planning to take commissions?
Oh damn. Thank you so much for the advice and the suggestions, anon. I'll put it up for consideration, and see if I'll be able to do that
For the commissions though, I don't have a set date yet, since I'll have to rework what stuff I will and I will not write and up the prices a bit. Thinking $3-$5 with pay how you want from the initial $1 commissions, because needs have changed now. I am planning to take in 3 commissions, since this will be my first time using kofi to take them. I will inform you all when I'll be taking commissions through an announcement post, don't worry!

Data harvesting should be used for the development of personal android companions who are taller than you and make fun of you for your habits, interests, and desires, but instead it’s being owned by companies with sinister names like Backdoor Key who then sell it to stalkers and amazon so they can sell you burgers and hide job listings from you for the sin of selecting “prefer not to say” when asked about your gender

Contract Hiring Mobile App Developers in 2024-25
In this digitally dependent world, one of the fastest-growing technologies is the introduction of mobile apps for brands. Businesses utilize apps to drive creation, quick access to information, customer communication, and engagement with the brand.
The growth rate of mobile-based applications is expected to be 14.3% from the year 2024 to 2030 – Grand View Research
This makes mobile app developers one of the most in-demand skills in the market. For a successful project, the presence of skilled professionals is essential and businesses are also inclined to hire app developers remotely. Read the complete guide and let’s reveal how contract hiring mobile app developers is beneficial for businesses.
Why is Contract Hiring Beneficial?
When to Hire Mobile App Developers on Contract and Not on Employment?
Identifying the Technology & Scope of Work for the Mobile App Project
Sources of Contract Hiring
Interviewing and Screening Candidates
Ideal Terms & Clauses for Contract Hiring
Setting up effective Remote Communication and Collaboration
Conclusion
Why is Contract Hiring Beneficial?
Contract work also commonly known as the gig economy is highly popular in the market. Businesses can easily fill the temporary skill gap in the company by indulging with contract workers on project to project basis.
However, the key aspect is that businesses should know when to opt. to hire remote app developers on a contract basis.
When to Hire Mobile App Developers on Contract and Not on Employment?
Project & Talent wise need only
If your project needs short-term assistance from a developer it’s best to hire contractors. And, if the requirements increase, you can scale up the work with the hired professional.
Cost Considerations
Organizations easily save money and resources by opting for contract developers instead of permanent employees. If you’ve tight budgets and short-term requirements, this would be the best option.
Requirement of a Specialized Skill
Contract developers are often specialized in one specific skill like React Native or Swift. When the project is dependent on one skill that you do not have in-house, then you can hire a professional from a pool of Talents who best fits your requirements.
Identifying the Technology & Scope of Work for the Mobile App Project
Before you start hiring mobile app developers, it’s critical to understand the scope of the app and project requirements in detail.
Understand the Problem the App solves and for whom
Perform market research to identify the need for an app among your target audience. Plan how the app is going to benefit the users and what is a list of problems that need to be solved via developing the app. The classic example could be the problem of consumer interaction. With the app’s introduction, a brand can promote more engagement and interaction with the target audience.
Understand the project requirements and related core features
Discuss with decision-makers what features the app must have for the users (the core feature and the differentiable features). Decide on the platforms the App will support (android, iOS, or both). You must also finalize project details beforehand like deliverables and deadlines.
Choose the right Technology Stack
Selecting the right technology stack sets the correct foundation for the app. Consider the purpose of the app while keeping the target audience in mind and select either a native or cross-platform stack.
1. Native Mobile App Development ensures optimal performance and ‘platform-specific’ capabilities.
iOS: Swift or Objective-C for programming, Xcode for development, UIKit for interface design.
Android: Kotlin or Java for programming, Android Studio for development, Android SDK for interface design.
2. Cross-Platform Mobile App Development ensures quick deployments, reusability of codes, and coverage of both platforms (Android & iOS).
React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin Frameworks offer the ability to write code once and deploy it across multiple platforms.
3. Other Tools, Libraries, and Databases to be identified might include Android Studio, Xcode, Firebase, Restful, SQLite, Room DB, SQL, MongoDB, Redux, etc.
Outline the Scope of Work & Document in detail
A well-defined scope of work sets the wheels in motion for an app development project. The clear SOW acts as a roadmap for the developer and client and reduces any chances of misunderstanding in the process.
Also well document the Team requirements, their roles & responsibilities, features & functionalities, tasks & deliverables, milestones & deadlines, expectations for UI/UX designs, testing guidelines, deployment & maintenance guidelines, etc.
Sources of Contract Hiring
Here are a bunch of options that one can select from to hire mobile app developers in 2024.
Leveraging Specialized Platforms,
There are freelance platforms available in the market like Upwork, and Fiverr, that have professional freelancers who can provide you with one-time developer services.
IT Agencies (B2B contract Hiring)
Consider hiring IT agencies like Sprybit that have a pool of talent who are not only pre-screened but also reliable for the project.
Networks
Ask in your Network, post on Facebook – LinkedIN – Reddit groups, reach out to Industry people, and ask for references.
Interviewing and Screening Candidates
Following a pre-decided screening process is essential to finding the right talent for your organization.
Review Past Work/Portfolio
Make sure to review the candidate’s portfolio related to the mobile development projects. Examine the projects that require similar skill sets as compared to your project and judge their proficiency. You can also inquire about those projects and codes to understand their level of knowledge.
Consider requesting some sample codes. The GutHub links can act as an excellent proof of skills. This step is necessary to make a calculated decision.
Screening of Technical Skill
Shortlisted candidates must be proficient in technical skills according to the project requirements. Hiring managers must conduct the right assessment that ensures the presence of skill expertise.
These assessments must be practical and should involve coding for varied purposes. With this, you can understand data structures and algorithm knowledge in the candidate.
Identify other important factors
Apart from technical skills, other non-technical factors are essential to be considered during the hiring process. Check the candidate’s communication skills to ensure they will be able to communicate their ideas and plans with other team members. Candidates must also possess problem-solving skills to navigate technical errors in codes if required.
There are multiple design principles for mobile apps to enhance user experience. Check if the app developer is aware of such technicalities to select the best possible resource for your project.
Ideal Terms & Clauses for Contract Hiring
Whether you are a newbie or an experienced professional; while contract hiring mobile app developers; the ideal terms to keep your data, time, money & idea safe remain an unmissable necessity.
Hiring from a Freelance Portal does check many boxes with their well-established policies and processes; which might be good but not always foolproof. Hiring freelancers directly or from IT Agencies engages us in co-building Terms & Conditions on mutual consensus or are pre-defined with our experience as a Vendor Compliance Policy. But, all-in-all, making sure that every safety measure for our Project is taken care of remains our sole responsibility.
Payment Terms
Unlike full-time employees, one can’t pay to contract professionals every month. Select among a wide range of options like hourly-rate, and project-basis. Transparency from the very beginning will help smooth project completion.
IP rights
Before starting the collaboration, clarity on IP i.e. intellectual property is essential. As in who is the owner of code, design, app interface, etc should be agreed on to avoid disputes in the future.
Confidential & Non-disclosure agreements
Once you allot work to these contract workers, you will be sharing confidential details of the company. Make an advance agreement and ask them to sign it before commencing the work.
Project Timeline & Quality Assurance Standards
Maintain the quality of the project by deciding in prior about project deadlines, submissions, and code quality in terms of programming languages.
Termination clause
State a prescribed reason for when can either of the parties end the agreement. This brings clarity to the table regarding moral, ethical and professional expectations your Organization has.
Dispute Resolution
In rare cases, the client and candidate might go into a dispute that needs to be solved for the project’s betterment. Laying out steps to clear disputes and solve them will act as guidance in case it’s required.
Indemnity & Liability
It is important to outline the obligations & responsibilities of each party during any case of losses, damages and/or legal claims arising during the course of the project.
Governing Law & Governing Body
Involving government laws, rights, and bodies can help in resolving disputes and save the project’s future. This way both parties can come to the same conclusion under legal principles.
Setting up effective Remote Communication and Collaboration
Remote work culture creates room for misunderstanding and unclear targets. However, the issue can be tackled if there’s a pre-decided communication system planned. From work allotment to final project submission, an effective communication plan benefits all the parties involved in the project.
These can be achieved by establishing communication, collaboration & project management tools for your Project:
Inbuilt communication channels of Freelance Platforms
Slack
Microsoft Teams
Zoom
Google Meet
Jira
Asana
Trello
Basecamp
Google Workspace
Dropbox
Microsoft 365
Notion
Conclusion
Organizations’ idea to hire mobile app developers on Contract is spreading like a forest fire. Businesses now have access to partner freelancers and contract workers for short periods with ideal skills, and reliable talent.
Before starting your journey on the same path, make sure to remain transparent and pre-decide the essential factors like payment, timelines, IP & communication; and finally proceed to give life to your mobile app.

The Chinese government announced Tuesday it is opening an investigation into Google in response to 10 percent tariffs imposed on Chinese imports by US president Donald Trump. Minutes after the tariffs went into effect, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation said it was probing the American tech giant for potentially violating the country’s anti-monopoly law.
The Chinese government may have strategically chosen to go after Google because it has limited operations in the country, ensuring the hit to the US tech giant would be relatively minimal. The move gives China plenty of room to escalate if the Trump administration announces further tariffs or other trade measures. Google declined to comment.
China also announced it was putting more restrictions on the sale of some critical minerals like tungsten and slapping additional tariffs on farm equipment, pickup trucks, liquified natural gas, coal, and other goods from the US. While the US isn’t reliant on China for all of the impacted minerals, the country does control the majority of the world’s tungsten supply, which is used in light bulbs, semiconductors, and ammunition.
“China’s position is firm and consistent. Trade and tariff wars have no winners,” China’s Ministry of Foreign affairs said in a statement Sunday shortly after the tariffs were announced. “This move cannot solve the US’s problems at home and, more importantly, does not benefit either side, still less the world.”
China has kept Google in its crosshairs during the ongoing trade war with the US over the last few years. In 2020, the government reportedly considered opening an antitrust investigation into Google's Android business, according to Reuters. The deliberations followed a complaint from Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, which was targeted by Trump during his first term.
Because of US sanctions, Huawei is unable to use American-made software like Google Mobile Services, a suite of tools widely used across the smartphone industry. The restrictions forced the company to develop its own operating system called Harmony OS.
But most smartphones around the world still run on Android, which has sparked competition investigations in a number of countries, some of which have led to concessionary changes designed to give consumers and app developers more choices and lower fees. In China, several smartphone makers continue to rely on an open source version of Android.
This past December, Chinese authorities also opened an anti-monopoly investigation into Nvidia, the chipmaker whose GPUs play a crucial role in the development of generative AI and have become a significant source of trade sparring between the US and China. The announcement came soon after the Biden administration further tightened China’s access to high-end semiconductors.
About 15 years ago, Google stopped offering a search experience tailored for China following a series of Chinese government-linked cyberattacks against it and other US companies. Google debated reentering China with a search engine about seven years ago, but the project was scuttled following protests from some employees concerned about supporting Chinese surveillance and censorship.
Google has also stopped short of directly selling cloud technologies in China, as local laws could threaten the privacy and security assurances it offers to customers in other markets. Other Google services such as YouTube are blocked by Chinese internet regulators.
China has allowed domestic companies to buy advertisements through Google so that they can market to customers abroad. But the revenue from those deals is relatively small, and China didn't even garner a mention in parent company Alphabet's annual financial report last year. That stands in contrast to Meta, which lists China among its biggest markets in terms of advertiser location and said last year that China-based advertisers account for 10 percent of its annual revenue.

Users will have to opt-in to both Labs and the SGE feature to use it, however.
Back in the olden days of last December, we had to go to specialized websites to have our natural language prompts transformed into generated AI art, but no longer! Google announced Thursday that users who have opted-in for its Search Generative Experience (SGE) will be able to create AI images directly from the standard Search bar.
SGE is Google’s vision for our web searching future. Rather than picking websites from a returned list, the system will synthesize a (reasonably) coherent response to the user’s natural language prompt using the same data that the list’s links led to. Thursday’s updates are a natural expansion of that experience, simply returning generated images (using the company’s Imagen text-to-picture AI) instead of generated text. Users type in a description of what they’re looking for (a Capybara cooking breakfast, in Google’s example) and, within moments, the engine will create four alternatives to pick from and refine further. Users will also be able to export their generated images to Drive or download them.
What’s more, users will be able to generate images directly in Google Images. So, if you’re looking for (again, Google’s example) “minimalist halloween table settings” or “spooky dog house ideas,” you’ll be able to type that into the search bar and have Google generate an image based on it. What’s really cool is that you can then turn Google Lens on that generated image to search for actual, real-world products that most closely resemble what the computer hallucinated for you.
There are, of course, a number of limitations built into the new features. You’ll have to be signed up for Google Labs and have opted-in to the SGE program to use any of this. Additionally, the new image generation functions will be available only within the US, in English-language applications and for users over the age of 18. That last requirement is a just bit odd given that Google did just go out of its way to make the program accessible to teens.
The company is also expanding its efforts to rein in the misuse of generative AI technology. Users will be blocked from creating photorealistic images of human faces. You want a photorealistic capybara cooking bacon, that’s no problem. You want a photorealistic Colonel Sanders cooking bacon, you’re going to run into issues and not just in terms of advertising canon. You’ll also be prevented from generating images of “notable” people, so I guess Colonel Sanders is out either way.
Finally, Google is implementing the SynthID system developed by DeepMind announced last month. SythID is a visually undetectable metadata watermark that denotes a generated image as such, as well as provides information on who, or what, created it and when. The new features will be available through the Labs tab (click the flask icon) in the Google app on iOS and Android, and on Chrome desktop to select users today and expanding to more in the coming weeks.
