Almost every "padme deserved better" fan just dunks on padme herself and it's so weird like how are you claiming to love padme but you don't even understand who padme is at her core or why she loved anakin like bro did we even watch the same movies?
Yall hate padme and love the headcanons or fanons you've made of her cus you hate anakin and it shows.

Anidala for the ship ask game 👀
my all timers!! they’ve been my favorite ship for almost a decade at this point and every time i get normal about them i promptly get abnormal again
when i started shipping it: 2015…i was 12 and a hopeless romantic and repressed bisexual. didn’t quite go over the edge until i started watching youtube fanvids but i’ve loved them since my first watch through
my thoughts: THAT’S REAL LOVE BABY. no one has ever done it like them. epitome of romance, epitome of tragedy, two of the most fascinating and hottest characters in the franchise and they’re KISSING!? (and they’re both girls!! george lucas didn’t know this but they are)
what makes me happy about them: there is something so beautiful and intimate about being unable to truly be yourself with anyone but one other person. they’re safe with each other!! they’re each other’s home!! also endlessly a sucker for when someone sees all the ugliness inside another person and loves them anyway
what makes me sad about them: GIRL THE TRAGEDY. besides the obvious i’m always viscerally upset that they only had three years and those three years were during a fucking war where they were constantly yearning for an After that never came.
things done in fanfic that annoys me: i have had a pile of grievances built up since middle school so i cannot possibly list everything. but standouts are padmé characterized as less invested/colder towards anakin than she actually is, anakin characterized as wholly selfish/possessive with no nuance (he can very much be those things but it’s Complicated!), basically anything that doesn’t acknowledge that they are for better or worse each other’s #1
things i look for in fanfic: anakin getting grievously injured and padmé responding to that is a fave lol. i like angst i like when they both cry i like when The Horrors creep into their home and they have to chase them away. i’m very into padmé’s pov of anakin!
who i’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: no one lmao. i dabble in other ships for fun but it’s gotta be like unserious exes or something (faves for that are kitster/anakin as a cute little schoolyard crush situation and padmé/dormé as like fwbs i guess? handmaiden ships are fun in general)
my happily ever after for them: anakin leaves the order, padmé takes a break from intergalactic politics to focus on something more local, they fuck off to naboo forever, they raise their babies, anakin goes on mood stabilizers and also estrogen, they grow up to be weird gay grandmas and never have problems again
who is the big spoon/little spoon: they take turns i think but anakin is usually the little spoon with padmé as the big spoon bc he likes feeling tiny and she likes holding him. but also he’s huge and sometimes she wants to disappear into him so they switch
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: i think they would greatly enjoy attempting and failing to cook together <3 also think they like lazily talking each other to sleep. i think that is their favorite time of day

God I want a time-travel fic of the variety where two characters that are like. Estranged marriage. Stuck in the past together. Reconnect as the only real touchpoint the other has to their old lives.
(I was watching the first episode of Outlander, for context.)
I kicked off with "well, obviously HanLeia from like a year before episode VII" because what says 'estranged but we still love each other' like HanLeia? I did consider like. Post-Empire Anidala but anything involving Vader turns into a war crimes discussion instead of estrangement so nah.
Next step: pick a drop point far enough back that they only have a vague idea of what's going on galactically, partly because so much of the information was scorched and burned, and also they've gotten old enough that some of the details weren't important. (The name of that bill that Palpatine got passed doesn't matter when discussing how he rose to power so much as the content, right?) This is Melida/Daan, where they both desperately want to help because dying children and also that's bb Obi-Wan but like. Absolutely none of the kids trust them.
And then my brain went "hey you know who would be fun to add? 23yo Padme who's already a Senator and seeing the Separatist crisis brewing but hasn't been targeted by Jango Fett yet." This detracts from the original intended plot but I got sucked in.
"Just tell people I'm an aunt you rarely got to see but always came home with stories about fighting pirates and liberating slaves with a smuggler and a loose sorta-Jedi, and you don't know if even a quarter of the stories are true, but it didn't matter when you were younger because all you cared about was that they were entertaining and came with souvenirs, like any eight-year-old"
Takes a lot of talking, bb!Obi and Padme are horrified by the future. (Most of the Young are just like 'okay cool let's get back to keeping US alive and you can talk about your weird Jedi things LATER')
Padme has no idea how to relate to Leia because Leia's just. A very odd person, but they're family, yes?
(Han is just like. Whelp. I do as Leia says. No, no, it doesn't get more complicated than that. She says jump and I don't even ask how high before I do it.)
Obi-Wan is almost crying because Leia is just. Taking charge and powerful and she recognizes "end the war with as few dead as possible" as a goal and she then does it with things like sabotaging weapons depots instead of hospitals and whatnot. Padme is horrified to find that all her political and academic expertise are less useful than her ability to grab a gun and Shoot Things, because she's not a General.
They get off-planet eventually, meet with the Jedi, etc.
Han gets sent off by Leia at one point to Tatooine, and she refuses to explain why to anyone until he comes back with a young lady by the name of Shmi who is just confused as fuck but Leia tells her "my father was a Skywalker, and I dreamed of where to find you because I have the Force" and Shmi is just like. Okay stranger lady. You took out my chip and offered to give me some cash and set me up wherever so I'll play along. Family, sure.
Han is probably bothering Qui-Gon because he is incredibly reminded of Future Old Ben, except Qui-Gon is somewhat younger, and looks much younger, on account of not spending twenty years on Planet That Hates You. (Han, you're almost seventy. Calm down.)
Padme thought she was a take-charge kind of gal but now she's met her future daughter and uh. Uh.

001: Stat Wars
003: Anakin
Hey, thanks for the ask 💖 I'm gonna do the character one ✨
003 | Give me a character & I will tell you:
How I feel about this character: I love him and he did nothing wrong 💖 He should go to dumb baby jail for 1000 years.
Okay, honestly, I think he's a fascinating deconstruction of the chosen one. He's not the OG deconstruction of that trope, but he's probably the most famous in the cultural zeitgeist and it isn't just because he falls and becomes the villain of the story. He's everything we expect a chosen one to be and nothing like one at all. Lucas did a fantastic job upending expectations with him because we only knew Vader and what he would become (powerful, terrifying, iconic, subservient, chained to his choices) and then he gave the audience a goofy sweet kid followed by a whiney teenager and finally a soft-spoken young man on the cusp of fatherhood who is about to go insane. He is fascinating in every respect and I love the layers that his character possesses. He is the most powerful Jedi who ever lived and one of their most tragic figures. He killed (or tried to kill) everyone he ever loved. He brought balance to the Force in an act of selfless love. His tragedy is that we know he would have been the greatest of them with time, wise and powerful, if his life hadn't taken the path it did. He's... there's very few characters like him and half of them are just pale imitations.
He's also just... supernaturally gorgeous. I'm allowed to be shallow.
Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: [Looks into the camera like I'm on the office] you follow this blog, right? Obikin is my OTP. Possibly the biggest OTP of my life.
I ship Anidala like it isn't canon and honestly, Rexwalker is an underrated ship and y'all clone fuckers should get on it.
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: Anakin and Ahsoka!!!!! Holy shit! Their friendship makes me laugh and cry. The complicated interplay of friend-brother-sister-father-daughter-mentor-apprentice thing they have going on between them is bonkers and beautiful. They are Jedi, you cannot quantify it. I love them. They are brat² energy. They are the reason Obi-Wan doesn't sleep at night.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I like clone wars Anakin's character design. Yes, the whole way through 🙈 HE'S CUTE IN SEASON ONE OKAY
One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: That someone (Obi-Wan) took one look at this sub, grabbed him by the hair and [redacted]
Favourite friendship for this character: I think Satine and Anakin would have been great friends in a frenemies sort of way. They'd validate each other's righteous anger like no one else. Obi-Wan would be so fucked and also so done with both of them.
My crossover ship: I don't really do crossovers I wouldn't know where to start 😂

I know you don't ship Brittany with anyone else other than Santana and for obvious reasons because those two are perfect together. However, if you had to pair Britt with anyone else either before she dated Santana or in s2 or s4, who would you choose? It can be OCs or existing characters or Santana 😉 or no one 😁
Naya Rivera? 😄
Britt would definitely flirt with her openly lol. Probably has a shrine in her closet for her. Santana would be very jealous and hate her.
In all seriousness I’m such a hardcore Brittana shipper that I really honestly can’t pair her with anyone else, especially anyone in canon. Everytime I come up with the idea to ship Brittany with someone as a midgame ship they just end up being like a watered down version of Santana. I can’t ship Britt with any of the existing characters because there’s just no one she really meshes with. So short answer is: no one. It’s like how AniDala is for you.
Brittany is actually a very shippable character because she genuinely likes people and she likes experimental sex and she opens herself up to them much more easily than Santana does with other people who aren’t Britt. She’s also very adaptable and accepting. It’s easier for Brittany to date people who she isn’t passionate about and just kind of pretend and find good in the situation, whereas Santana just can’t fake it and she’s really super obvious about her annoyance/disinterest with whoever she’s with. So if Santana didn’t exist I could see Brittany settling with a good person even it was mediocre with them (not the intense passion she gets with Santana) but she still loved them in a lesser way.
It would be hilarious to see Pezberry’s reactions if Britt and Finn had ever pretended to date in season 2 or something. I mean Brinn would never be into each other like that ever but I think they’d both find it funny because San and Rachel would be like 🤬🤬😡. Brinn would be like two golden retrievers. So Brinn for a fake dating AU. Bike would also be hilarious as a fake dating AU because Santana/Tina would flip the fuck out and Mike would definitely play it up to troll Santana. I’m sure Bike have been mistaken for bf/gf before and they’re both so attractive/popular but they’re just friends.
I think as annoying as B*rtie was at the time, it served its purpose in season 2. It showed Brittany that she can have a proper relationship with someone who claims her openly and gives her the emotional fulfillment she deserves. So even if B*rtie isn’t my ship and Brittany wasn’t truly *in love* with him I probably wouldn’t change B*rtie other than write their storyline in season 2 better because the whole love triangle could have been handled much better but it was alright.
Artie and Brittany was such an important character growth point for Santana because prior to that Santana was just kind of… expecting Brittany would always be there to have sex with her/comfort her regardless of how Santana acted. She didn’t realize how much she loved Brittany until she was taken by someone else. She didn’t realize that she wanted a *relationship* with Brittany and not just a fling. On top of that Artie wasn’t cool or rich or popular or physically strong so it made Santana realize that those things aren’t always what are important in life. She never in a million years thought Brittany would want someone like Artie and boy did that open Santana’s eyes.
In season 4, I firmly believe Brittana should have never broken up in the first place. It should have been them going back to one of their houses and having a good cry/discussing what was wrong and then some good makeup sex because they just needed to communicate. The love was there and they would only have been separated physically for a few more months. I also firmly believe Br*m was a terrible idea and should never have existed. There’s no way either of them would have been into each other. Sam was just a friend to her and he was much more invested in Mercedes (and Quinn before that). IF they absolutely had to break up Brittana, then I’m not sure why Brittany even needs to date, she could have been single and explored her independence for a while. Maybe had a hookup with Jake if he wasn’t with Marley because he was cute and definitely her type (Santana would have killed him).
If she absolutely had to be with someone in season 4, why not an OC from outside of the Glee club? It would make more sense. They definitely would be similar to Santana - dark haired, serious, sassy and maybe with some lowkey anger issues. They’d probably be a jock too like San because I headcanon Britt is really into jocks (with a slight nerd side to them). I’m not sure if I could torture Santana like that though because she would have come back in season 4 and be devastated to see Britt with someone else. These two only really fit with each other.

The Phantom Menace rewatch (liveblog + notes)
Unlike the OT, I’m rewatching the prequel trilogy fully and in order. Let’s see if I regret my decision...
Liveblog:
Wow, this opening crawl is extremely hard to read.
Bear with me as I try to understand the plot in real time. Alright, so Palpatine 1) Orchestrates the blockade as Sidious 2) Sends the Jedi to break the blockade as the Chancellor 3) Pretends he didn’t expect the Jedi, and orders to escalate and invade Naboo, and kill the Jedi Or is the chancellor they’re referring to someone else? Is this a ploy to assassinate these two Jedi specifically for some reason?
Do they have super-speed for this scene only?
The designs are also ugly but in a different way from the OT
“The negotiations were short” lmao
Oh alright, Palpatine is a Senator, and the Chancellor is a different guy. But which one is higher?
I appreciate that the politics are actually confusing, instead of just one bad faction vs one good faction
WHY ARE QUI-GON AND JAR JAR HAVING A SEXY MEET CUTE And Jar Jar immediately says “I love you”. What is happening
Alright by WHY does he speak like this. Is this a dialect of the common language? Is everyone else using a translator machine while Jar Jar actually learned the language so he makes mistakes?
I am so grateful for the subtitles lmao
R2-D2 looks kind of weird. Different sort of plastic? CGI?
Why did the decoy queen send the real queen to clean a droid?
I wonder if the guard captain (? or whatever his job is, the cute black guy) knows which one the queen is.
God she’s SO tiny. Who the hell elected this child?! A child on the throne of a hereditary monarchy makes sense, a child princess too; but a democratically elected head of the state?!
Oh Ani that’s a terrible line lmao This has the energy of baby clothes that say “ladies’ man” etc
Anakin is such a friendly, outgoing child 😭
“Your son was kind enough to offer us shelter :)” flash forward for how the Jedi order and the universe in general repays him...
The C-3P0/R2-D2 meet cute is much better than the anidala one!
“I had a dream I was a Jedi. I came back here and freed all the slaves.” 😭😭😭
“Mom, you say the biggest problem in this universe is nobody helps each other.” 😭
“He was meant to help you.” What the hell is that supposed to mean?
They’re really staking the entire mission on a 9 year old winning a deadly race huh
Omg I’ve forgotten about the immaculate conception lmao. How did the EU explain that one?
“I wanna be the first one to see em all.” Well, that is his name...
Wait is that Warwick Davis in the background
Well that race got mildly interesting only about halfway through.
“Why do I sense we’ve picked up another pathetic life-form?” I think it’s pretty interesting how the two Jedi have a mutual, usually unspoken understanding that they’re above everyone and everything else.
I’m crying again looking at Shmi’s face. She knows they’re leaving her behind because she’s not valuable to anyone but herself and her son. In slavery, alone, with nobody to live for or to help her now. (And what she doesn’t know, but Qui-Gon does, is that he angered her slaveowner before leaving. I bet he’s going to take it out on her.)
“Will I ever see you again?” 😭😭😭
Lmao was this scene meant to mirror ANH? Leia’s planet has been destroyed, and she’s giving Luke a blanket; Padme’s planet is being decimated, and she’s giving Anakin a blanket. Sexism is like poetry, it rhymes...
“Many things will change when we reach the capital, Ani, but my caring for you will remain” What’s that supposed to mean? (This is an endearing scene of friendship and solidarity between two kids used as pawns by the cynical adults... Until the weird romance angle comes in again. The boy is nine, George!!!)
I like the parallel scenes of the two ineffective bureaucracies.
Yoda looks much better than in the OT. Is it CGI? Or a very good puppet with CGI enhancements? There’s so much detail in his eyes and ears, I don’t believe it’s a puppet only!
Did they really greenscreen and CGI the green hills?
Finally a proper fucking sword fight! Which is also accompanied by a rare memorable music theme. Maul’s martial arts style is noticeably different from the others, which is neat. He jumps and twirls like a dancer.
This part of the plot is very immersive because I, like Anakin, have no idea what the point of the space battle is. I’m sure it was explained before but I missed it. Oh so he could disable the autopilot at any time? He just went along with it to see what’s the destination? lmao “Qui-Gon told me to stay in this cockpit, so that's what I’m gonna do.” Well that's a very creative interpretation of his instructions lol Did Ani accidentally infiltrate the enemy base? Good for him! The station falling apart is one of the few good special effects in this movie.
“...grave danger I fear in his training.” *the Imperial march plays*
---
Notes after watching:
Well. 60% the worst movie you’ve ever seen, 20% okay, 10% interesting ideas some of which may or may not upset a fan of the OT, 10% crying your face off because of the dramatic irony.
The most interesting part with perhaps the most far-reaching consequences is the ideology of the film, which is very different from what the viewer could expect after the OT. The film draws a clear parallel between the ongoing fall of the Republic and the impending fall of the Jedi order, brought about by their own internal problems. The Jedi are shown as ineffective at best and actively heartless at worst. Two extremely disadvantaged people help Qui-Gon out of the goodness of their hearts, and in return he exploits them with the pragmatism worthy of a Sith Lord. But the structure of the film still positions the Jedi as “good guys”, giving no meaningful alternative for them. So it’s natural the audience would react like “But the Jedi are heroes! They’re noble and spiritual! What is this bureaucratic nonsense?!” and some of them would proceed to think “Well, the story says they’re heroes, so they’re actually justified in everything. All of these flaws are excusable.” And it’s very unclear what the intended takeaway from all of this was. Was the viewer supposed to leave the theater thinking “Damn, it’s a shame the Jedi are so fucked up. The only one who sees this kid as a person is another child trapped in the adults’ political schemes. So that’s what puts him on the path from being an idealistic, compassionate child to Darth Vader”? Or were the kids still supposed to want to be a Jedi, like they presumably did after the OT? You know what, this actually makes me appreciate the anti-TLJ crowd. They openly say: “I think the way Luke was written in this film was stupid and OOC. It offends me as a fan. This is not my Luke. I refuse to consider this film a part of my personal canon.” Straightforward and honest. So why can’t the (admittedly overlapping faction of) Jedi apologists just say that they don’t like the prequels? That trilogy is widely hated. If you say “I think the prequels were badly written, so I prefer to ignore their existence altogether”, I’m sure many would sympathize. So why not just say that, instead of defending the ways in which the Jedi order and its members were obviously in the wrong?
Both the cinematography and the image quality are strangely worse than the original trilogy. I was watching a 1080p BluRay rip, so the fault wasn’t there. Out of the environments, Coruscant was my favorite. The interiors look very plastic, which makes the scenes filmed on location in some normal palace look out of place.
Jar Jar’s people are a “primitive tribe” caricature, and their speech is nigh incomprehensible. Ani’s slaveowner seems to be an antisemitic caricature. Naboo is a planet of mostly white people and Mediterranean architecture... and fashion borrowing from Asia, mostly Japan; it’s like the costume designed visited a museum recently. (Apparently the Trade Federation guys are a racist stereotype too but I’m not familiar that one.)
Putting the spotlight on the most experienced actor was a good move, at least. In the end, it seems like Qui-Gon is the protagonist of this movie, not anyone who is in other installments.
Jake Lloyd’s acting didn’t bother me at all. Even looking at the documentary — alright, so another kid at the audition (5:32 in the documentary) had a stronger reading of a line that was unsalvageably awful anyway. So what? He seems older, maybe that’s why he’s better; it would be simply a slightly different dynamic if Anakin were not tiny enough to stumble over words. Besides, Natalie Portman was an established teenage actress, and her performance was also flat as hell. Meanwhile, the adults Neeson and McGregor were doing just fine. I think it’s clear where the blame lies here...
I still don’t understand what Palpatine’s scheme was. To get elected chancellor, he needed the queen’s instigation, so was letting her escape the plan from the beginning?
Who is the target audience for this movie? The OT was clearly for children. In this one, the kids would be bored by the politics, and the adults by the juvenile humor.
Ironically, I came out of this thinking the Jedi Council was right. If being a nine year old who misses his mother disqualifies one from their militant religious order, then maybe it would be best for everyone if he could keep living his life without their bullshit.
Anyway the most fun part of this experience was listening to the corresponding episode of A More Civilized Age, which was really healing after some of the bizarre takes on the Jedi I’ve seen on here.
I’m also grateful to them for pointing me towards the making-of documentary. A few short notes about it: watching McGregor’s nice hair being cut into that horrible style was almost physically painful; watching the actors rehearse the lightsaber fights was magical; the footage of the premiere left me with mixed feelings because of the secondhand embarrassment and dread of an impending trainwreck on one side, and the nostalgia of attending fandom film premieres myself in the past.

Stars Are Born
Fandom: Star Wars Rating: Explicit Pairing: Anidala Word Count: 2319 Summary: Finally back from his mission after five months, Anakin is overjoyed with Padmé's pregnancy. He wants to explore and learn her new body. Tag List (since y’all seemed interested, but no pressure): @evilwriter37, @iidigestive-readerii, @helbertinelli, @oliczek23, @firefoot22, @idiosyncraticrednebula, @phantomwitch16 READ ON AO3
“Anakin, that tickles!”
Currently, Anakin was leaving playful, sloppy kisses all over the roundness of Padmé’s belly. Once night had fallen and they were home together, they’d both flown at each other, tearing clothes off. Yes, they could do sweet love-making, and often did, but not after Anakin had been away on a mission.
Five months. Five months of not touching his heart-breakingly beautiful wife. His hand had not been enough, no touch of skin against his own that wasn’t hers proving absolutely fruitless, and empty. Even the enhanced nerve connections in his prosthetic held that feeling of longing.
Anakin had been hesitant with Padmé at first, so stunned by the large roundness of her belly, but as always, they worked as a team, and she enthusiastically rode him till that deep part of his mind that wanted nothing more than to merge with her soul inside of her accustomed to her pregnancy belly.
They had ridden each other hard, crying out, tearing at hair, kissing wantonly, tongues refamiliarizing and claiming. Anakin had assured that Padmé reached her end, had even done so twice, and he’d finished deep in her. Now, while they caught their breath, he realized how badly he just wanted to touch her belly.
Blast, she was stunning, even in the dim lights of their bedchambers. Sweat glistened on her smooth skin, and her already-growing breasts that he had paid great attention to were still reddened, rising and falling with each heavy breath. Her dark hair was spread out in curls on the pillow, and her smile could warm a thousand worlds. And inside her lay life. Life that Anakin had helped create.
Unable to wipe the bright smile from his face, Anakin continued leaving playful kisses on her stomach.
“Sorry, you’re just so beautiful,” he apologized, though he felt no remorse.
She laughed, and held him, delicate hands running through his hair.
Inhaling deeply, pleased, Anakin rested his cheek against the roundness of their child growing within her. There was no need for him to reach out with the Force to feel that extra life, to know that they were three now instead of two. The feeling inside her was strong, stronger than he had expected it would be for one life. Had his powers passed on? Did it matter?
Still stunned by that growing burst of life, Anakin just rested with her. He ran his left hand along the underside of her swollen abdomen, dangerously close to another part of her he found extremely enticing.
“You helped with this,” Padmé told him.
Anakin lifted up his head, and grinned at her. “Yes, but you’re the one our baby already knows, the one carrying them, keeping them safe. It’s… It’s…”
Suddenly finding himself at a loss for words, he kissed her navel. Padmé hummed happily.
“I don’t care about the Senate, or the Jedi, or any of it right now.”
Her glow seemed to fade, and she lightly pushed him away, sitting up. Anakin sat before her, cross-legged, still with his hands on her belly.
“But maybe we should,” she said. “Ani, what if we’re found out?”
Joyous, yet confused, tears pricking at the corners of his eyes, Anakin met the warm brown of her eyes. And he let her see him, let her see all of it. The strains put on him during this war, the things he’d seen, and lost. The hurts he’d experienced. And he let her see his worries find themselves washed away with content at being in her presence. With hardly a thought, he reached out into the Force, and he felt her. Her body, her strength. Through that bond he’d worked so hard to establish and keep hidden from others in his life, he felt her fears thrumming through it. They washed over him, beginning to penetrate him slightly, jabbing at soft vulnerabilities.
Anakin didn’t balk down from her feelings. This was Padmé, his wife. And in this moment, despite the confusion and fear, he was glad to be with her.
“Then they would be jealous,” he told her. “Jealous that I have you while others cannot, jealous that we created something special that they could only ever dream about. Padmé, I love you. I love our baby. I—”
Suddenly, Padmé let out a little grunt, and Anakin felt that tiny jolt in her.
Now he did shed a tear, and Padmé put her hands over his left one, moving it closer to where that sensation had come from. And there it was. A kick. Distinct and powerful.
Anakin laughed as he felt that flutter against his palm, and Padmé laughed as well.
“Maybe you’re right,” she said, shuffling closer to him, the motions slightly awkward due to her size. “Maybe we just need to have each other. And right now, I-I’m so happy, Ani.”
“I’m happy too.”
Another tear streaking down his face, he began to touch her—the body that he had used to know so well. The body that had changed, and seemed to become more beautiful by the second. Anakin wanted to know his wife in this body, and wanted to praise it for all the good things it was doing for the both of them, and for their child.
“Stars’ end, I love you.”
Padmé was the one to initiate the kiss that he’d so desperately desired. Their motions were soft, slow. They were together.
In between long, tender explorations of each other’s mouths, Padmé panted out, “I… love you… too.”
Gently, Anakin took her into his arms, and then laid her out on the bed. Their bodies began to undulate slowly and rhythmically, seeking further pleasure and warmth. Anakin was careful with holding himself over her, but he delighted in feeling her abdomen flush against him. Her skin was so soft, and beneath it, inside, lay their child. Their. Child.
Anakin groaned as Padmé spread her legs, and wrapped them around his hips, holding him to her. Pressure began to alight in his gut, his body readying itself for another round. He pulled out of the kiss, Padmé still searching for his lips. She contented herself with kissing his cheek. He pressed his forehead to hers, just breathing. Smelling her sweetness, and the underlying heady scent of her arousal and satisfaction, and previous exertions.
A mischievous grin on her face, she arched up into him, her still-wet folds rubbing against his hardening cock.
A moan left him, and he pressed his hips into her, gyrating, seeking pleasure. All the while he hardened, wanting, wanting…
The things he wanted to do to her. There were things he enjoyed her doing to him, but right now a heat was growing within him, down to his bones, and deeper than that, into his Living Force. He needed to know his wife, needed to show her how pleased he was with her pregnancy. Feeling the new shape to her body triggered a nearly painful, tugging warmth, and he decided to let it loose, decided to show her all he felt.
Anakin shifted his hips back slightly, and they both groaned at the lack of touch. But soon, he was touching her with his fingers. Padmé practically crooned as she tossed her head back.
He knew her well enough to quickly find her clit. It was still swollen with need, and, breathing heavy, Anakin drew back, wanting to look at her.
“Oh, kriffing hell!” he exclaimed.
What he saw left him positively aching with need. She was red and swollen from their first round of fucking, and slowly, his seed was seeping out of her, and it mixed with her wetness. A growl left him, and without any preamble, he buried two fingers in her up to the knuckles.
Padmé’s body reacted beautifully, her back arching, soft, heated insides clenching around him. He had been rough earlier, probably leaving her sore, and while he desired to be rough with her again, another part of him just wanted to praise. So he did, gently crooking his fingers in her.
“Oh, Ani!”
She hissed in a breath as he ran his thumb over her clit.
“Do you like it like this, Padmé?” he asked, voice a low gravel.
“Mm-hmm.”
She rode his hand into a climax. Soft moans left her as pleasure overtook her body, and Anakin held onto her hips, readying to enter her again. The contractions seemed to even go up into her lower abdomen, and, fascinated with her body, he changed his position, leaning down to lap at the sweat on her stomach.
His fingers were in her again, wanting to overwhelm her, wanting to share the love and joy and need that was readying to burst out of him. She reached down, and held her trembling legs open.
Ignoring the juices and wetness already there, Anakin brought his mouth forward, and dutifully licked Padmé at the apex of her thighs. A guttural cry left her, and she was twitching, tensing. When her body went limp, Anakin removed his fingers, but he couldn’t stop lapping at her, enjoying the pulsing of that swollen nub against his tongue. Soft moans were leaving her, her body utterly limp now.
A growl worked its way up from his chest, and the aching need in him pulsed.
Before, he’d taken her from behind, the both of them realizing that was an easy position for desperate kriffing during her pregnancy, but even with desire burning through his entire being, he didn’t feel the need for that desperation and roughness now. He wanted to love her.
“Ani, I need you,” she murmured.
A needy grunt left him as she lifted her legs, and they worked together to get her ankles hooked over his shoulders. This left her utterly exposed, and Anakin took hold of himself, pumping up and down before squeezing his fist around the head and twisting.
He groaned, and Padmé reached for him, taking hold of his cock. He let her lead him into her.
He let out a grunt as he pressed in, and likewise, Padmé’s voice was punched from her. Anakin nearly cried with how good she felt around him. So tight, and hot… mm! He never wanted to leave her body. He wanted to live here, go deeper and deeper till he was part of her.
With gentle thrusts, he pushed in and in and in, and then he gave a quick jab of his hips when he was fully buried in her.
Padmé cried out, the beautiful sound leaving Anakin throbbing and twitching.
“I never want to stop making love to you, Padmé.”
She giggled, and it was as if a star was born.
“Dank farrik, you’ve barely started, you moof-milker!”
Anakin laughed. “When did you learn to swear?”
She smiled, even as she gyrated against him. “My husband has a dirty mouth.”
“He sounds like he needs to be put in his place,” he joked.
“Yes. After he makes love to me.”
“As you wish, my lady.”
Stars seemed to form and burst behind Anakin’s eyes as he moved in and out of her, her tight insides hugging the swollen length of his cock. He didn’t wish to drive into her hard like he had before. His body just wanted to be with hers, wanted to always have her, and feel this way.
He came more quickly this time than he had before, and Padmé grunted as he filled her up with his hot seed once more. And Anakin kept pushing, and pushing, and pushing. Nothing in the whole galaxy compared to the fire and freeing light that encompassed all he was, and joined with her. He wanted to kiss her, to cry out into her mouth, to let his wife hold him, to assure himself that this was home.
But with her new shape, it was an awkward endeavor, so he settled for turning his head and kissing and licking at her legs. He’d nip at her soft flesh as she came around him, her insides milking him, begging for more despite their baby she already carried. The hunger of her body had him releasing all he was, till he was screaming her name.
Anakin felt cold as he left her body, but, at peace, sated, he lay down beside her, feeling over her stomach once more.
She kissed him in earnest, and looked up at him, sleep heavy in her gaze.
“You’re too obsessed with my stomach,” she told him.
“No, I’m not.”
“You are.”
“Am not.”
“Yes.”
“No.”
To Anakin’s surprise, Padmé began to run her hands all over his abdomen, feeling at the muscles there.
“What are you doing?”
“Can’t I be obsessed with your body too?”
“Hey, I don’t have a baby in there.”
“Fine.”
She brought her hand down to his slowly softening cock, and he was loathe to admit that he let out a surprised squeal, his toes curling. Then her hand went lower, squeezing at his balls.
“Are we even now?”
“You still have to put me in my place,” he teased. “I have such a dirty mouth.”
The smile she gave him was incorrigible, even while pleasure burst with pain where she gripped him.
“Yes, you do.”
Padmé teased his over-sensitive body with her touch, and then kissed him, open-mouthed. Their tongues met briefly, dancing together, and then she pulled away. Her hand ran up his cock, before going to rest back on his torso. She traced the curve of his hips, and he moaned quietly.
“But I’m tired, so… later.”
“You promise?” he asked.
“Of course.” Again, that dazzling smile met him, and his heart melted into magma, pumping molten rivulets through his body. “But I’ll dirty your mouth a bit more first.”
“No part of you could ever be dirty.” He kissed her on her head, and held her close.
Their baby kicked.
Anakin wasn’t sure which of them was the first to drift off.

Dark Disciple- Book Review
Tumblr media
(Nobody asked for this review, but here it is. This is spoiler free but it does contain spoilers for Episode III and some key events from the clone wars. I’m not a book expert and I don’t even know how to speak in English to begin with, so excuse my poor grammar.)
“Dark Disciple” is a canon novel written by Christie Golden based on unproduced episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars that focused on Jedi Master Quinlan Vos having to team up with former sith apprentice Asajj Ventress to take down Count Dooku. I think someone who has not seen the Clone Wars could enjoy this book, but if you have watched the series this book will definitely impact you more.
I was not ready to read this book. I thought I was, but I was wrong. It’s a good read, but it will break your soul into tiny pieces from beginning to end. It’s beautifully written and it did make me laugh and cry multiple times. Before I started it, I already knew what was going to happen because I spoiled myself on accident, and even with that I still got hurt from reading it.
I will not make spoilers of the book whatsoever here, but I will mention spoilers for the Episode III. We know from the start that they are going to fail the mission because we already know that Dooku is killed by Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith. We know that something is going to happen, we just don’t know how. And it’s the “how” the thing that keeps you glued to the pages and interested in what’s happening.
If you are a Clone Wars fan, you are going to love this book and it’s a must read for you. It’s a really important story to understand how the Jedi Council was doomed to fail, the culture of the night sisters, how the dark side works, and the mistakes everyone made in this war. It’s also a love story as well in more than one way.
This novel does wonders showing how Asajj Ventress has evolved during the series. It’s a completely different person from what we first saw in Jedi Lost or in the movie of the clone wars. She has evolved past his masters and I truly believe she is the best force user character out there. Not because she is perfect, because she is definitely not, but because of her growth. I love her deeply.
Same for Vos. We don’t get to see much about him in current canon, being his only canonical appearance in one episode of the clone wars and as a background character in Phantom Menace, so this book does all of his development and characterization. And it’s good.
They both felt really real, so real they were really complicated beings the whole time. You can see how they both had issues and how those issues affected the way they reacted or interacted to the things happening around them. Their story parallels Anakin and Padmé at times, and the book acknowledges it, but with more depth and complications. It’s beautiful.
I also loved the relationship they both had with Obi-Wan Kenobi, who also appears in this book quite a lot. You can tell they appreciate each other as friends and that he cares about both of them as well.
Even when I knew what was going to happen, the plot continued to surprise me and got me hooked from start to finish. I never really knew what was going to happen next until I finished it. It never felt slow, or out of place. The pace was also really good.
My favourite part of the book is the inner conflict of what it means to be a jedi in a galaxy where not everything is black and white. The struggle of wondering how far you’ll go to do that, or where do you draw the line of what’s right and what’s wrong.
As I said earlier, this book made me laugh and cry (the laughing part mostly because of Anakin, he has such disaster energy I love him) and it was a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish. The whole book has this bittersweet feeling because you already know they are going to fail, but it makes you appreciate the little details even more.
I didn’t like the ending. From a writer’s point of view, I did like it, and it goes perfect with the story being the most accurate ending. But, as a fan of the shows, I felt something broke inside of me when I finished reading it. It’s a good ending for the story.
I know we will probably never see this arc animated, because the clone wars ended and there’s no way you could fit this arc into something like the Bad Batch, but I would’ve loved to see this in the series. I still like this story in book format because you get to see exactly what goes inside the characters mind and it gives another layer of depth and information.
Overall, this is one of the best Star Wars books so far. I would recommend this book to clone wars fans, Ventress stans, people interested in jedi culture, people who like battles, Anidala shippers, Kenobi simps, people that really enjoy the night sisters, people that really like bounty hunters, hopeless romantics, and everyone else. I just loved it so much. I’m probably going to re- read it.
I wouldn’t recommend reading this book before watching the clone wars. You can totally read it without watching it, yes, but I wouldn’t do that since these episodes line up with the series and are a part of that story.
This book does contain scenes where they describe violence and blood, so if you are triggered by that you should know that before reading it. Some pages may disturb you. If you want to read it anyways, you can send me a message and I will tell you which pages to avoid. If you don’t want to read it, it’s fine. I have reviewed other Star Wars books in my blog if you want to check another one out.
It’s a pretty important read to tie some stuff the series left unsolved.
I hope you find this review useful and give this book a chance if you are interested.

What are your favourite AUs for AniDala?
My favorite is the one when Anakin doesn’t turn and they get to go to Naboo and raise their twins + other babies (because I’m 100% sure they would have a lot more). That’s my top tier AU.
I also like AUs where Padme is a Jedi and Anakin is a Senator, so their roles are reversed, but their personalities are the same. I’m not a huge fan of the ones where their personalities also switch.
I like Vaderdala AUs... I don’t know if these fit in in here... where Padme and Anakin get to be together after ROTS in some way. Not the ones where Padme joins him. I hate those, but the ones where they get reunited and he leaves everything behind for her.
I would love an ATLA!Anidala AU where Anakin is the Avatar and Padme is a NWT royalty.
AU where Obi-Wan takes Anakin to the medical station with him and Padme after the duel on Mustafar and Padme takes him to Naboo with their babies and they basically go into hiding from Obi-Wan and the Rebellion and from Palpatine, too. And Anakin is having some post-darkside clarity and he sees that this time his dream was just a dream and Padme is safe and the babies are safe. And they had twins! So he’s happy about that. But he’s also very angry at himself and remorseful for killing the Jedi and fighting Obi-Wan and hurting Padme. And Padme tells him she forgives him, but he can’t forgive himself and he can’t really imagine how she’s able to forgive him. He’s also sad because he can’t hold the babies because he got his left arm cut off and he only has his mechanical arm. And he touches their faces very gently with his robotic arm and they grab onto his finger and coo at him and he’s just overwhelmed by it all because the twins love him and they look at him like he’s their entire world. He’s just a crying mess because they really love him and Padme loves him but he doesn’t deserve to have good things.
AU where Anakin isn’t accepted by the Jedi Order and Padme asks him to come live with her on Naboo instead. She is able to rescue Shmi too and Obi-Wan comes in secret on Naboo to train Anakin. I feel like if the Jedi Order hadn’t allowed Obi-Wan to train Anakin, he would have been less uhhh duty-bound and would break the rules more. So yeah... And basically we have Padme and Anakin growing up together rather than not seeing each other for 10 years and I think that would be cute.

My Anidala Headcanons Pt. 2
You guys really liked these so here we go.
1. Who makes the first move and how?
Anakin cause that’s canon.
2. Who is the most insecure and what makes them feel better?
Anakin, do I really need to explain this?
3. Who is the most romantic?
Anakin tries to be romantic but it just comes out really cheesy but Padme goes along so he feels special.
4. Who can’t keep their hands to themselves?
Anakin can’t get enough of his hot senator wife.
5. Who says ‘I love you’ first?
Even though Padme said it first, Anakin definitely heavily implied it first and didn’t outright say it because he was a scared teenager.
6. Who would they ask if they ever had a threesome?
I don’t think he would want to share Padme with anyone, I can’t picture them wanting to do that.
7. What do they get up to on a night out?
Anakin would try to take Padme on a romantic classy date but because Anakin is so disaster prone that something bad would always happen and they just end up eating at Dex’s or just going home.
8. What do they like in bed?
I’m sorry for all the Anakin choke me people but based on my opinion I think Anakin would only like doing the most Vanilla sex and would call it making love and cry afterwards. He would also be more submissive just because of his past seeing sexual violence he would never want to accidentaly do something like that to Padme.
9. What is the most embarrassing thing they have done in front of each other?
For Anakin it's definitely anything he said in episode 2 and Padme makes fun of him all the time for it. For Padme I think it's either her saying I love you first or marrying him, I feel like she woke up the morning after like “Did I really just marry a 19 year old illegally, Padme how did we get here??”
11. What do they hide from one another?
Anakin hides how tired and badly hurt he is when he comes home, he also hides his insecurities about his relationship with Padme since I feel like deep down inside he still feels like that slave kid on tatooine who doesn’t deserve Padme. Padme I feel hides her past relationships because she can sense he is a bit insecure when it comes to their relationship so she doesn’t mention them till he finds out. Like with Clovis.
12. What first changes when it starts getting serious?
Padme is more affectionate and Anakin isn’t so tense anymore.
13. When do they realise they should get together?
When they both realize a war is coming which could result in both of their deaths. (canon)
14. When one has a cold, what does the other do?
If Anakin has a cold, Padme of course takes care of him to the best of her ability. If Padme has a cold, Anakin is in full on panic mode like he probably reads the star wars equivalent to Web MD and thinks Padme is dying of 5 deadly diseases. Goes to the store and buys every medicine he can, tries to make every remedy he knows. Probably burns the kitchen in the process, he overexerts himself to the point he falls asleep and she can finally do what she needs. She doesn’t really mind his chaos and how she has to take care of herself because it's just a cold and his chaos shows how much he truly loves her.
15. When they watch a film what do they choose and why? Who gets the final vote?
I feel like Anakin would like to watch a nice feel good romantic comedy since he feels like he lived one and is at the happy ending with his true love. Padme I think would want to watch a courtroom drama since she likes the debates in them. However they would watch Anakin’s choice since he finds the courtroom stuff boring and confusing and Padme doesn’t mind watching a nice feel good film.
16. When the zombie apocalypse comes, how do they cope together?
I feel like they would stick together till they found a bunker community. Padme would help with the Bunker politics like splitting rations and food, shower schedules, and who can go outside. Anakin would help by going outside to get food and kill some zombies in his way.
17. When they find a time machine, where do they go?
They’d go back to episode 2 time period before the war so they can just relax and reminisce.
18. When they fight, how do they make up?
I feel like at first Anakin storms away mad and they just eventually get over it. But then later he feels sorry and apologizes a lot.
19. Where do they go on their first date?
I consider the picnic scene to be their first date.
20. Where do they go on holiday?
To Naboo, Anakin loves Naboo too much.
21. Where do they get nervous about going with one another?
Everywhere, Padme counts in her head every time Anakin almost blows their secret, while Anakin thinks he’s great at keeping secrets.
22. Where does their first kiss happen?
Naboo
23. Where is their favourite place to be together?
At home, Anakin loves to be at home cuddling with his wife.
24. Where do they first have sex?
I’m going to assume their Honeymoon was in Naboo and that’s where they first do it
25. Why do they fight?
Anakin gets jealous about her exes.
26. Why do they need to have a serious chat?
Anakin’s insecurities and possessiveness over Padme and their relationship.
27. Why do their friends get annoyed with them?
They act like no one knows they are dating but everyone knows that they are
28. Why do they get jealous?
I feel like Padme isn’t the jealous type while Anakin gets jealous of Padme’s exes.
29. Why do they fall a little bit more in love?
Because they are in the middle of war and they can’t take their lives for granted

okay y’all i re-listened to the entirety of evermore at like 2 am and went to bed at 3 am so this isn’t really coherent but here we are, qeued up to go,,,so here are my thoughts w/ evermore + tcw because y’all k n o w
1. willow -- strong anidala vibes. taylor swift herself said something about how this song is all about the complexities of desire and. yeah. it shows. // “wherever you stray, i follow” and “i know my train could take you home” and “the more that you say the less i know” and “wherever you stray i follow” and “that’s my man ;)”
2. champagne problems -- strong sad obitine vibes, which @kckenobi screamed about to me last night and i wholeheartedly agree. big vibes of having to leave a relationship because you have to and also...just sad. might have made me cry and my heart feel empty. def. something on repeat. // “your heart was glass, i dropped it” and “your hometown skeptics called it champagne problems” and “you had a speech, you’re speechless” and “how evergreen our group of friends, don’t think we’ll say that word again” and “one for the money, two for the show, i never was ready, so i watched you go”
3. gold rush -- okay big anakin or obi-wan vibes. both? both. this is kinda a stretch but. just the feeling of watching these big heroic figures walk around and quietly wonder about huh. who are they anyways. // “everybody wonders what it would be like to love you” and “i don’t like slow motion, double vision in rose blush” and “my mind turns your life into folklore”
4. ‘tis the damn season -- big anakin and ahsoka vibes, esp. during season 7 help. all about going back to your hometown and kinda wanting to reunite with someone but also knowing that is a bad idea. yes i am sad. // “and it always leads to you and my hometown” and “i won’t ask you to wake if you don’t ask me to stay” and “and wonder about the only soul who can tell which smiles i’m faking” and “we could call it even, even though i’m leaving” yeah i’m not okay either
5. tolerate it -- big sad anakin and obi-wan vibes, and i’ll explain. idk. vibes of just. anakin mayhaps thinking that obi-wan doesn’t care/love him to the same extent anakin thinks he himself does. help. don’t talk to me about this this is my new exile and it shows because i’ve been listening to this on repeat. // “i wake and watch you breathing with your eyes closed” and “you’re so much older and wiser” and “i wait by the door like i’m just a kid, use my best colors for your portrait” and “tell me i got it wrong somehow” and “i know my love should be celebrated, but you tolerate it” and “always taking up too much space or time”, and @kckenobi pointed out that the bridge onwards is from obi-wan’s perspective after rots help “leave us in ruins, take this dagger in me and removed it” and “gained the weight of you and lose it, believe me i could do it” no i’m not okay
6. no body, no crime -- ngl this is a tricky one. this probably belongs in some convoluted au in which padme and ahsoka snap and murder palpatine or something which. you know. i’m kinda down for that. // “i’ve cleaned up enough houses to cover up a scene” that’s all you need to know *aggressive side-eye*
7. happiness -- big, big, big disaster lineage vibes. anakin and obi-wan, anakin and ahsoka, whichever. big sad. all about having really bittersweet memories. “i hurt you, you hurt me, but we had good memories”. // “haunted by the look in my eyes that would have loved you for a lifetime” and “tell me when your winning smile began to look like a smirk?” and “when did all our lessons start to look like weapons pointed at my deepest hurt?” and “there’ll be happiness after me, but there was happiness because of me” and “i can’t make it go away by making you a villain” and “in our history, across our great divide, there is a great sunrise” gives me so much hope??? mayhaps our tcw trio could....could reunite and have a happy ending please
8. dorothea -- this is also kinda a reach, but i see this is like the other side of anakin and ahsoka vibes in ‘tis the damn season. kind of seen from the perspective of someone who’s seeing someone come back to the hometown and ‘oh huh she’s different’ but like. still cares about you, you know? which is very anakin and ahsoka vibes season 7. // “it’s never too late to come back to my side” and “you know, you’ll always know me” and “but are you still the same soul i met under the bleachers?”
9. coney island -- honestly about anyone with anakin. :( it’s just. really sad. destroying something delicate vibes. // “did i shatter you?” and “sorry for not making you my centerfold” and “disappointments, close your eyes” and “but you were too polite to leave me”
10. ivy -- more anidala vibes, tbh? again, stuff about illicit affairs kinda. cheerful but lyrics are not, actually. idk the metaphorical thing that both anakin and padme are already married to are the order and the senate, obvs. // “i’d live and die for moments that we stole on begged and borrowed time” and “it’s a war, it’s the goddamn fight of my life, and you started it” and “i can’t stop you putting roots in my dreamland”
11. cowboy like me -- obitine and/or anidala vibes, i know. never thought i would talk about cowboys to them,,,but the vibes. // “you had some tricks up your sleeves” and “takes one to know one” and “we could be the way forward and i know i’ll pay for it” and “and the skeletons in both our closets plotted hard to fuck this up”
12. long story short -- big obi-wan vibes, also big ahsoka vibes. // “pushed off the precipice, clung to the nearest lips” and “long story short, it was the wrong guy” and “no more tug of war, now i just know there’s more” and “past me, i wanna tell you not to get lost in these petty things” and “your nemeses will defeat themselves before you get the chance to swing” and “i fell from the pedestal” and the transition from “long story short, it was a bad time” to “long story short, i survived”
13. marjorie -- big obi-wan and anakin vibes. i think this song is actually about taylor’s grandmother but right now all i could think of bittersweet anakin and obi-wan help // “if i didn’t know better, i’d think you were still around” and “what died didn’t stay dead” and “you’re alive, you’re alive in my head” and “i should’ve asked you questions”
14. closure -- big anakin vibes w/ lineage fam. just. angry ex vibes. of someone who just doesn’t want anything to do with you anymore. asdfsdfs this is ironic but like. yeah. that was the closest i could think of. mayhaps a stretch but there’s some connecting lyrics. // “don’t treat me like a situation that needs to be handled” and “i’m fine with my spite and my tears” and “i know i’m just a wrinkle in your new life” and “guilty, guilty reaching across the sea that you put between you and me” (this is gonna hit hard if kenobi series speculation is correct and we get obi-wan trying to bring anakin back for one last time)
15. evermore -- honestly gives me obi-wan vibes. // “i replay my footsteps on each stepping stone, trying to find the one where i went wrong” and “this pain would be for evermore” and “can’t remember what i used to fight for” and “i thought of you in the cracks of light, i dreamed of you” but then it transitions from “this pain would be for evermore” to “this pain wouldn’t be for evermore” and ladies and gentlemen, we call that growth and hope!!!

heyy Megan!! , I read a few anidala relationship analysis posts on my timeline and it really got my wheels turning. The more I read about them the more I feel as if they really rushed into establishing their relationship & from their character/personality stand point I feel as if they weren't compatible from the get go. I may be wrong but don't really think they loved each other, i think Anakin just idolized her and she saw something more in Anakin that there was idk if this is making any sense
hello!! and yes that all makes sense!! i’m gonna add my thoughts and i am going to preface this by saying that i don’t want people to yell at me because it seems like i might have an unpopular opinion lmao
i personally really like anidala and i think that a lot of their flaws isn’t to the fault of their characters. i shall explain :)
in my opinion, the prequels, which i absolutely adore if that’s not painfully obvious, could have been improved timing wise. espeically the first two movies. so i think that a lot of the rushing felt in AOTC is due to this.
i know a lot of people are confused when it comes to their compatibility and honestly i get that. here’s padme, this amazing, intelligent, well-regarded, former queen and current senate member. and then there’s anakin, reckless, occassionally immature, young jedi. on paper, it feels out of left field.
and anakin did idolize her, espeically in the beginning. i’m not going to deny that. but i don’t hold that against them, either. listen, it’s normal for people to romanticize the person they’ve fallen for. especially when anakin fell so young. speaking from experience, especially when i was younger (i mean i’m still young but-), i had a tendency to latch on when i felt romantic feelings for someone.
but anakin grew throughout the prequels! he had a lot of development and i think this was mirrored in his relationship. you can see in ROTS how he acts when he finds out padme is pregnant. instead of freaking out or wanting to run (as escapist tendencies are major signs of immaturity), he reassures her. he stays and he says that he’s happy and they’ll figure it out, together. so, yes, while the idolization happened at first, i think he outgrew it, at least outgrew it to the point where it would be like toxic and weird. because when you love someone, they’re gonna seem perfect, at least to some extent. it’s just how that shit works.
and in AOTC, their romance felt juvenile at times. it was flirty, awkward, young. but padme was reckless at times, too. remember, she was the one who wanted to go to geonosis. it’s in moments like these that i remind myself that, yes, she was a bit older than anakin and definitely more mature, but she wasn’t this poised, perfect woman that people try to paint her as. further, she, herself, was also young! this was her first major love and she was trying to navigate those emotions, too. and while senators are allowed to be in relationships, they’re not allowed to do so with jedi. as much as anakin struggled with the secret relationship and not being able to talk to anyone for advice in it, padme did, too. i think she and anakin were more alike than people assume.
another reason i like anidala was because they had to put a lot of effort into their relationship. because it was secret and because they don’t initally seem like soulmate material, it wasn’t laid out for them. they had to fight, and they did. so i like them for that reason and i think it shows their committment to each other. they chose each other, repeatedly. that relationship wasn’t one they could have just stayed in because it was easier than breaking up. splitting apart would have been the path of least resistance but they fought for it because they loved each other. or, at least, that feels like love to me.
perhaps they were both a bit blinded. but i think they were happy. and i’m a bit biased, i’ll admit; i love anakin with my entire heart and you can tell that he was happy with padme. because of this, i always rooted for them. i didn’t want to watch his heart break.
and i saw a bit of myself in padme. she was strong, she was kind, she was good. and she couldn’t control who she fell for, just like anakin couldn’t control his emotions. she might have seen someone who allowed her to let go, to be a bit reckless, herself, and who wouldn’t judge her if she wasn’t a perfect, mature senator all the time. maybe their inbalance allowed them to balance each other.
again, these are just my thoughts. i just personally do like anidala and i tend to give them some slack. but maybe im just projecting because im a romantic at heart and cry when i listen to “across the stars”. or because i watch the prequels and, everytime, hope beyond hope that things work out differently and they get their happy ending. because they did want that happy ending. and they wanted it together, as a family.
yeah <3
also i’ve been in school all day so i haven’t seen all the discourse but i scrolled through a bit and yeah i am aware that i’m probably the one with the unpopular opinion. and this is an opinion. if y’all don’t like anidala, that is 100% cool and okay with me, you are fully entitled to your opinion! if you don’t really care, also totally valid, you don’t need to have a strong viewpoint on everything! if you love them, awesome! as long as people don’t invalidate me or act like assholes, i reiterate that i am open to any and all perspectives.
ok i wrote this on my break in 15 min so if it makes no sense, whoops! also ik they have flaws, i just saw a lot of people pointing those out so i decided to say why i liked them, bc, personally, i do! on that note i gotta go back to class!! see y’all later today <3

Star Wars is a tradgedy
I’m currently sitting on my couch about to cry because Star Wars is supposed to be a fairytale, good is supposed to win, people aren’t supposed to be left behind. Yet the three sets of soulmates in Star Wars (Anakin & Padme; Han & Leia; Ben & Rey) all end in tradgedy.
Anakin becomes Darth Vader and kills Padme, Han leaves Leia (for some reason never explained in the movies), and Ben dies.
I understand that the prequels are supposed to be a tradgedy, you’re supposed to go into them expecting heart break (not that that makes them any easier to watch, because trust me I still cry every time), so Anidala I can understand.
But how dare JJ Abrams break up Han and Leia?? How dare he!! I spent my entire childhood LOVING them! Because Han loved Leia for who she was and vice versa! They loved each other even when it was difficult, despite their differences, and without either of them ever giving up on the other. And even though it makes my blood boil, even Hanleia I can understand, the creation of Kylo Ren had to have some emotional impact.
The one that really makes me angry is Reylo. Throughout the sequel trilogy they serve as a mirror of Anakin and Padme, except their story is in reverse (Ben begins dark and turns light while Anakin begins light and turns dark). All this time I thought this was the story of Anakin and Padme without the tradgedy! Going into the prequels you know who Anakin will become, tradgedy is expected. In the same way the sequels plant the seed of Ben Solo at the very beginning; a happy ending is expected. The whole journey is to bring him back to the light! He is named after Obi wan Kenobi, who, in one of the most iconic lines in Star Wars history, is described by Leia (Ben’s MOTHER) as the “only hope”. All of the lines, the lighting, the acting, EVERYTHING pointed to the redemption of Ben Solo. He was their only hope, and yet somehow JJ Abrams thought it was good writing to throw him into a pit right before the final battle and then have him die two seconds after resurrecting his soulmate, leaving her to live her life alone on a desert planet with a borrowed name and only a lightsaber and the ghosts of his fucked up family to keep her company.
I’m not quite sure who decided that bittersweet endings were better than happy ones, but they were severely mistaken. One of the most important things about fiction is that people use it to escape the real world. I have used Star Wars to escape my life for a very long time now, why do I not deserve a happy ending? The Star Wars saga has ALWAYS been about hope. In the prequels we knew that even though Anakin would fall he would be redeemed at the end of Return of the Jedi; at the end of the OG trilogy everything was right in the universe, Luke restored the balance, Han and Leia were together, and Palpatine was dead. The sequels were supposed to end with similar balance. I’m not sure what made JJ alter so much of the story so late in the game but it is obvious that this was not how the story was supposed to end. Naming him Ben was intentional, his entire purpose was to represent HOPE. And by killing Ben Solo JJ Abrams killed hope in the Star Wars universe.

Of Myths and Legends
OF MYTHS AND LEGENDS
Anidala Week 2020 - Day 3:Mythology
Author’s Note: LOL get ready to cry ya’ll because 2020 was meant for angst. Might make this into a series later on. These are a lot of tragic mythology that works perfectly with Anidala.
I. ICARUS
“I will get us out of here….I promise.”
He whispered that to her every night.
For some the ability to lose track of time was simple but for Padme time was a necessary construct. Her children, wherever they were, needed their mother…and their father too.
Two years had passed since that faithful day. When all Sith’s hell broke loose. Anakin almost lost himself. She had almost lost him and her children had almost lost their father. They would have lost him to fear and quite frankly, to power and envy as well.
But then Ahsoka came with Maul to stop Anakin from committing his biggest crime. As one singular action becomes a breakpoint for a set of other actions, it seemed Sidious was one step ahead.
When Anakin realized the ploy was to turn him, Sidious turned to Maul and lured him. Maul wanting his rightful place amongst the Sith order, pledged his allegiance to whom had previously betrayed him.
They lost Ahsoka that day. She gave them means to escape.
Soon her and Anakin met with Obi-Wan in Tatooine, and then came the twins. The galaxy’s beacon of hope. But just as she saw them, they were whisked away.
Obi-Wan pleaded to take them far away to protect them. It had been two years since they had last heard of him
The Empire loomed above them, everywhere. Anakin had disconnected himself from the Force, in fear of being found. Similarly, she couldn’t access her credits without being detected. Instead they’d become moisture farmers, living day by day. Working through the sun and making meager ends for some sustenance. Not that it mattered, they’d both lost their appetite long before.
Padme tried not to cry in front of him. But sometimes she could not help herself. Despite having Anakin all to herself without the Jedi Code and societal norms to trump them, this was not what she imagined. They were incomplete and not free.
Being out in the desert became their proverbial prison. Now she understood why Anakin hated this place. Yet, occasionally she’d lie in the desert sand at night and look at the sky wondering what little Luke and Leia were doing.
Anakin was restless.
He would not be at peace until his family was together again. This was his fault. He had not regretted the choice he made in Palpatine’s office after Ahsoka showed up but he wasn’t strong enough to stop the Sith. He was too distraught. Too weak.
They had no credits. No life but the desert. While he hated the sand, he knew how to live in it, but not his angel. She was never meant to be here.
She was broken-hearted and so was he for her, for them. Their love for one another was their own anchor, their only light in the darkness. While they professed their love to one another constantly, he knew it would not be enough to fulfill this new gap that existed.
Obi-Wan had promised to come back with a ship for them, but two years had passed and he was desperate to know if his children were safe.
Soon enough he planned to buy a ship but everytime he scrambled for some credits, some unfortunate situation would happen. They’d need it for food, tusken raiders came up on their homestead, the moisture collectors broke down, and there never seemed to be an affordable ship.
And he did not want to open himself to the Force. He knew the minute he did, Maul and Sidious would jump like Lothal cats on their location.
That’s why when a ship crashed near their home Anakin and Padme looked at each other with hope in their eyes. The pilot had died at impact but the ship was salvageable.
“We’ll find Obi-Wan first and find Luke and Leia, and go far away from here.” She said in her elation. Padme smiled more often now.
Anakin worked like he’d never done before. The hardest part was moving around from the homestead to where the ship had crashed, but he spent day and night fixing that she. His hair had grown and a fierce determination shown on his face almost like a crazed man.
One night as they held each other in hope and desperation, he’d hummed an old desert tune. “You love me better than anyone…you love me better than I’ve known…better than I’ve known before” Padme held him tighter that night.
“So the ship only has capability for two hyperspace jumps?”
“Around that, yes,” he said hesitantly. He’d look in every junk shop for the part he needed on the hyperdrive but to no avail.
“We can probably jump to Naboo. I’ll seek my family quietly and find a way to contact Obi-Wan,” she said.
Anakin shook his head. “We can’t go to Naboo. It’ll be crawling with Imps.”
Padme thought for a second longer until it dawned on her. “Alderaan.”
“Alderaan?”
“Yes, Bail had to have survived. We had gone over every contingency plan with the committee, in case something like this happened.” When something like this were to happen. Padme had kept politics away from him but now more then ever he understood her lack of loyalty.
It was all coming together. Until it wasn’t.
This is a tragedy. There is no happy ending.
As they approached Alderaan, he hesitated. What if they came here for naught? What if Bail Organa had been killed and as soon as they landed they would have been caught by the Empire?
No. He couldn’t allow that to happen. His family was his responsibility now and he would be damned if he did not do anything about it. He would do what he had been holding on to do before. Use the Force. It would guide him to Obi-Wan. If Maul and Sidious dared he would have already landed and escaped. Anakin had been the best pilot in the war, surely he could evade him.
As he sat in the cockpit looking at the vastness of space. Anakin opened himself up to the Force and searched for his old master. He smiled, he was close.
Suddenly an alarm startled him awake. As he opened his eyes he saw ahead of him a large Star Destroyer. Alderaan laid below them. Behind him, Padme entered the cockpit and gasped.
“Anakin!” He only stared ahead. Maul and Sidious were aboard that ship. Laughing at him furiously but then Anakin knew what he had to do.
“What are we going to do?” Padme broke him from his reverie.
He stood up suddenly and was in front of her. Anakin grabbed her face and kissed her. She broke away and stared at him confusedly. I’m sorry.
Trembling he lifted his hand, “You will go into the escape pod.” She simply stared.
He did it again, “You…will…go…into…the…escape…pod.”
Padme stayed silently hypnotized. Slowly her feet moved back, all the while staring at Anakin. Her eye twitched but tears started forming. Her mouth stayed silently shut.
“You will go into the escape pod,” he croaked. Tears forming in his. He saw a small shake of her head, all the while they walked slowly to the back of the ship where the escape pod was.
Soon enough she had crossed the threshold that separated the pod and the ship. Padme’s chest heaved, wanting desperately to scream out. Tears flowed across her cheeks. She trembled violently. But Anakin hit and held the space lock that closed the door immediately.
On the other side Padme yelled, “ANAKINNNNNNN. NO!”
“I’m sorry, my love.”
Her fists hit the escape pod violently. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? LET ME OUT! ANAKIN!”
“OBI-WAN IS IN ALDERAAN! YOU WILL GO TO HIM AND YOU WILL FIND OUR CHILDREN!”
“No. No Anakin, please. Don’t do this.” But it was too late because he hit the release.
They both wept as they drifted farther apart. I’m sorry, my angel.
But then Anakin needed to move. He sat back in the cockpit and stared straight ahead. They were on the bridge. He knew what he had to do. There was only one maneuver.
And so the tale tells. Anakin Skywalker, maddened by determination to end what he thought was his responsibility, hit one last hyperspace jump directly through the bridge. He destroyed the bridge, Maul, Sidious, and himself. His wife seeing the maneuver in front of her eyes, rarely spoke again.
The galaxy will forever hear the tragedy of the man who walked the skies until one day he simply got too close to the sun.

I’m going to do a weird.
I know a whole lot of us are stuck at home due to the COVID19 outbreak and all our respective governments attempting to flatten the curve. So I’m going to break out my VAST library of fanfiction recommendations for you to read! Please bear in mind that my tastes in fics are not necessarily like yours so the following 15 Fandom reccs might be hit or miss. All ships and above T ratings will be tagged with brackets, all crossovers will be mentioned in those same brackets. Also, if I mention it’s part of a series, I’m not just recommending the fic I mentioned, I’m recommending the whole series. I’ve tried to recommend a different author’s fic each time. So! Let’s start with the 3 fandoms I mention in my blog description.
1) ATLA Fate Deferred (Zutara) Aang remains in the iceberg ten years longer. Sozin’s comet comes, the world keeps turning with no Avatar to save it, and by the time he’s finally found by a waterbender and her Fire Nation husband, a lot has changed. [Zutara established relationship full series rewrite; Now on Book II: Earth]  Cheating at Pai Sho (Canon Divergence) “You said you were the Avatar!” “…I lied?” Aang doesn’t get rescued in episode two, and no one’s seen him go glowy yet… so he starts bluffing. Hard. Or: “The Avatar joins Zuko’s quest to find the Avatar.” In which Zuko doesn’t join the Gaang, the Gaang joins Zuko.  The Undying Fire: Blood and Fire (First in the Undying Fire Series, eventual Zutara) Book 1. In which rescuing the Avatar from Pohuai Stronghold doesn’t end so well. It’s a tough life being a banished prince trying to get home, especially when the Avatar just wants to be your friend and keeps making everything confusing. Oh, and did Zuko mention he somehow healed the kid? Yeah, that happened. Stalking Zuko (First in the Stalking Zuko Series, eventual Zutara) Katara has developed a new hobby. At the Western Air Temple she takes to stalking Zuko. Much silliness and shenanigans follow. In chapter 20: Katara and Zuko return home to the others. Katara hates the F word and she comes to a decision regarding Zuko.  Embers (Canon divergence) Dragon’s fire is not so easily extinguished; when Zuko rediscovers a lost firebending technique, shifting flames can shift the world…  2) Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Father (Percabeth in the GFFA, eventual Anidala) It all started with a wish, but because it was Percy Jackson it couldn’t have been a friendly goddess granting him a wish. No, it had to be Nemesis, goddess of revenge and balance. Now Percy and Annabeth are stuck in a strange new galaxy right when an ancient and powerful darkness finally begins to stir.  Glass Figures (MCU Mashup) I lifted my gun, pointing it towards the minefield of shattered fragments, and kicked the small coffee table out of the way.Only to stare down at an awfully familiar face, which split into a somewhat lopsided grin. The intruder raised his hands in a mocking surrender. //“Long time no see, dude.” //I lowered the gun. “What the hell are you doing in South Peru?” //Or in which Clint Barton and Percy Jackson have a long personal history that starts in high school. All Together, Cousins (Canon divergence) When Thalia ran away with her toddler brother, Jason, she slowly gathered her cousins: she and her cousins being Big Three children. As Jason gets older and their motley group expands to six, Thalia resigns herself to the fact that she won’t always be the leader of the pack. As she accepts that, something more is coming, able to challenge even the gods above. A Crown of Golden Leaves (Historical AU) Annabeth, a Lady from the declining polis of Athens, must marry the Heir Apparent of Rome to save the rapidly expanding world from a threat even the gods couldn’t foresee.  Deluge (Percy in the Arrowverse) Barry has to deal with yet another Metahuman that Zoom has pitted against him. But this ‘Metahuman’ is an unwilling pawn in Zoom’s plan and really wants to find a way around killing the Scarlet Speester. But how can he when Zoom is holding something against him?
3) DC Firework (First in the Sparks in the Dark Series) Orphaned and removed from the only life he’s ever known, Dick feels like there’s no light left for him in the world. His new benefactor, however, still sees something worth saving… Chronological beginning of the Spark in the Dark series.   Iron, Fire, Mirror-Glass After a brutal confrontation with Bane, Bruce comes away with a broken spine and the certainty that his days as Batman are over. An unexpected discovery offers him another chance—but at what price? The story of a man who risks his soul for the sake of his mission, the dangerous creature he names Robin, and the unlikely partnership that will shape the legend of Gotham’s Dark Knight.  Get Back Up There was a mole, one who played a long game. The team was betrayed, crushed. Robin nearly died. What are they going to do now? Only one chirped the answer. Get back up. WARNING: lots of talking, little action, many follow ups  Five Times …Five times Damian thought of Dick Grayson as his father, and the one time Dick thought of Damian as his son. Future-fic. YJ characters will show up later. Batman!Dick and Damian as Robin. With guest appearances from Jason, Tim, Cass, and Steph.  Unveiling the Mystery Series of one-shots about the team learning a little about Robin (Dick Grayson).   With all the fics, I heavily suggest you also read what else these authors have to offer in their archive.
And now here’s the plethora of other fandoms I read fics in under the cut!
4) Harry Potter The Horse (Mature) Looking after a Muggle animal should be easy compared to saving Hogwarts from Voldemort. Harry and Draco might disagree with that. Featuring Luna, Marauders, peppermints and, of course, a tall, black, badtempered horse named Simon. The Potions Master’s Nephew An accident occurs and Professor Snape finds himself trapped in his fifteen-year-old body. Enrolled into Harry Potter’s fifth year, he is forced to hide his true identity. Girls, drama and teenage angst do not bode well with Severus. Keeping Up with the Grangers (Dramione, Mature) Mr. Malfoy, I invite you and your mother to tea next Tuesday, May 25th at 2o’clock to discuss recent events. Dr. Helen Granger //…  …// He glances at the boxy too-uniform numbers flashing on the face of Richard’s radio. It’s nearly noon, and he should be getting ready to leave; but there is still a harsh tension in his shoulders and neck that he wants to work out before Hermione finds him. It is, after all, Tuesday; and while his Tuesdays were designated ‘tea with Helen’ days previously, they are now ‘lunch with Granger’ days, ever since the chance meet-up with the Weasel’s wife and the insufferable swot herself. Faceless (Dramione, Mature) New year. New love. New threat. A powerful enemy is on the rise, and Hermione Granger finds herself intertwined in a relationship with Draco Malfoy – only she doesn’t know it’s him. / / RUNNER-UP: Enchanted Awards Summer 2017 for Best Relationship Development
5) Devil May Cry And the Rest is Silence (Mature) The destruction of the Saviour wasn’t the end. Too many people had too much invested.  An Uncle’s Thoughts Dante’s thoughts and feelings regarding one particular quarter-demon kid. Vignettes that span from the start of Devil May Cry 4 through Devil May Cry 5, and beyond. Fortuna’s Fool Events after DMC5 with flashbacks to the events we briefly see in DMC4SE only with Vergil telling Dante all about Nero’s mother. Family ties are so complicated, aren’t they? Family of Happenstance Some orphans have happy endings, getting adopted or finding their family. Having a demon slaying half devil for a father tends to throw a tiny monkey wrench in the process. AU Father!Dante, Son!Nero. Rated because hunters don’t exactly have clean mouths.
6) Power Rangers (Focus on Might Morphin’ and Dino Thunder teams) Of Love and Bunnies Set just after Dino Thunder. When Angel Grove announces another Power Rangers Day, Tommy takes the Dino Rangers to Angel Grove for a reunion with the original team… including Kimberly. TommyKim, JasonTrini, KiraTrent. The Reason (Part 1 of eclyptyk neo‘s Dino Thunder AU) COMPLETED. DT. AU. Years go by as Tommy Oliver becomes accustomed to his job as a teacher. A person from his past returns. The new ranger team grows interested in its outcome. How will these new changes between rangers young and old be? Sequel: Ordinary World Change of Hearts (Wild Force)   PRWF: When Jindrax and Toxica set out to find themselves, they had no idea that their greatest adventure was only beginning. Chronology Conundrum DT/MMPR - After a strange mutation is released in Reefside, the five Dino Thunder Ranges find themselves thrown back into the past, circa 1995 Angel Grove. Somehow, they have to figure out how to make it back to their present without destroying it or themselves. And if they succeed, they must navigate the consequences of their actions in the past, while still protecting Reefside. 7) Merlin (Mergana leaning) The Other Version of Events What if Merlin and Arthur had met when they were children? What if a mysterious illness fell over Ealdor and Merlin was blamed? What if Arthur had actually felt sorry for him? What if destiny was thrown at them in a whole new way? AU, no slash, Bromance, A/G M/M… You get the idea.  Flipping the Coin, Part 2 of Coins (2nd story in the Coins Sage but 1st multichapter) Merlin and Gwaine are sent on an adventure to discover their past and stay one step ahead of Morgana. Fearing for them, Arthur and the other knights set out to find them, but soon discover much more than they bargained for. Alt version Season 5. Sequel to “Two Sides of the Coin” Angst, Adventure, BAMF, Bromance, Redemption, Twists on Arthurian Legends.  The King’s Legacy “I hope you are rolling in your grave brother, I will find your son, and I hope he is like you. I will ruin him and gain a lovely weapon in the process.” Cenred spat on the grave, “I win Balinor.” .Sequel posted.  The Warlock’s Quickening (First in the Albion Cycle) Merlin might have come to Camelot to master his magic, not to end the Purge, but he’s not going to sit idly by while his kin suffer. Oh no. Whether it’s releasing a chained dragon, smuggling sorcerers out of the city, or trying to change Arthur’s mind, he’s fighting back. Now. Series rewrite beginning after 1X02 featuring Proactive!Merlin. AU.
8) Dragon Ball Under the Radar (Gohan/Videl) Gohan is living life as a secret superhero, but Videl is making it her business to find him out! How will Gohan manage her and Saiyan hormones? Will he fess up? Or will he try to live his life -puts on sunglasses- “Under the Radar”? *applause* Thank you! Thank you! And GOODNIGHT! G/V obviously. Rated T because adult situations and language in later chapters. COMPLETE! Golden God (Mature) To save the lives of millions, Gohan is forced to expose himself as a Super Saiyan, proving that his tricks are indeed very real. And it drives the whole world to insanity. Warning; becomes a little graphic goes as it on. Walking Towards the Sunset Bardock’s curse sends him to a mysterious place where weaklings are abundant and an odd trio claim to be his family. Eventually giving in, he stays with them to discover that Earth is more unlucky than Planet Vegeta. Impatiently waiting for his son’s arrival, Bardock has to survive a new life with his estranged family and a certain girl set on finding the truth. (Saiyaman-Buu Saga) Plus One (Gohan/Videl, Mature) Tired of being pursued by the gold-digging, glory-seeking, Satan obsessed freaks of the world, Videl will resort to the only method open to a celebrity like her to find Mr. Right. 9) Sailor Moon (Mainly SenshiShitennou) The Crystal Age (Rewritten) In an alternate version of Season 1, as a result of Beryl’s curse at the end of the Silver Age, Tuxedo Mask and the reincarnated Shitennou are fighting a losing battle to save the city and find the lost princess. Sailor Moon has disappeared, Sailor V is working on her own, and the other Senshi are still just ordinary girls. Sequel to The Silver Age. MxU, SxS. Please R&R. Hooligans It’s after Galaxia and time for University. The Senshi and Mamoru settle into life in Great Britain and meet some old friends. Inner Senshi x Shitennou and Usagi x Mamoru. Modern Timeline. Never Gone R A single choice can change the course of Fate: a choice, say, like waking up on time. After a successful raid, Gale is rewarded with a slave girl: the Saxon noblewoman Madge. Meanwhile, shieldmaiden Katniss grows closer to captive monk Peeta. Gadge/Everlark historical AU with background Odesta and other pairings.   Katniss, Vampire Slayer (Mature) “Into every generation a slayer is born.” the man droned out slowly, quietly, in a way that made her think he was quoting something. “One girl in all the world. She is the Slayer.” //  Haymitch mocked. “One girl in all the world. With only Astrid as his friend, fate gives Hiccup one more chance to end the war and become the hero he was meant to be. Hiccstrid. Snap (Hiccstrid, Mature) He was just supposed to fix her back, and she doubted that at first. She definitely didn’t expect to get dragged into the ethics of a girlish crush. Modern AU. 15) Star Wars Double Agent Vader The one where Vader turned double agent for the Rebellion about three years after ROTS, and Leia is now his primary contact with the Rebellion. Or,  a man attempts to escape slavery by turning into one of his culture heroes, teaching his daughter how to do magic, killing people, and flower arranging. A New History During a heated battle, Dooku escaped into the past! Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker follow to stop him, but discover that Dooku went to the past where Obi-Wan is a young padawan to a very much alive Qui-Gon Jinn. 1: Do you remember the episode/scene/chapter that you first started shipping 6?
Honestly..... no. It happened so slowly that I didn’t realize it. I can look back at their scenes and think “oh wow they’re so in love and I ship it” right from the start, but I know it didn’t happen at the start. I’m fairly certain it was between TFA and TLJ because I remember screaming when Finn rushes over to Poe after the blast. but... i don’t know when it changed between TFA and TLJ?
2: Have you ever read a FanFiction about 2?
YES LMAOOOOOOO.
3: Has a picture of 4 ever been your screen saver/profile picture/tumblr avatar?
Surprisingly, no.
4: If 7 were to suddenly break up today, what would your reaction be?
Cool cool. They were never canon and one of them is dead. A+ question and now I’m gonna go cry.
5: Why is 1 so important?
WHEW okay. Zutara. Push and pull. Fire and water. Sun and the moon. They are not opposites, but a complimentary pair. They go together, not in opposition. They aren’t the same, but they contrast each other perfectly. They grew together, found forgiveness together, understood each other better than anyone else. I could go on, but this sums up the main points.
As for why they’re important to me, it’s because they were so perfect for each other and they worked so perfectly in the story. Enemies to friends to lovers. Redemption. Forgiveness. Growth. UGH PERFECT. I also love both of these characters and they cared about each other to the ends of the world and I will go down with this ship.
6: Is 9 a funny ship or a serious ship?
Serious!!!
7: Out of all of your ships listed, which ship has the most chemistry?
Probably Bellarke :) Braime though...... they have so much chemistry ........ and Finnpoe.......... oh my god
8: Out of all of the ships, which ship has the strongest bond?
HMMMMMM. I’d say Bellarke is really high, but so is Percabeth. Both ships have been through hell together (some more literally than others), are willing to go through hell for each other, and will stand by each other.
9: How many times have you read/watched 10’s fandom?
I’ve watched seasons 1-7 three or four times in whole. Season 8 only once. And then I’ve watched only their seasons from season 2-4 three additional times.
10: Which ship has lasted the longest?
You know what. I just realized. That all my ships. Are either not canon. Or they’re dead. OR their show was cancelled immediately after they got together.
wait.
except Percabeth.
I always knew I could count on you, Percabeth.
We’re going... 14 books strong since their first kiss? maybe more? idk its so hard to count because they’re main characters for a solid 10 books, but then they’re in the background for 7 other books and agh.
They’ve been together for the longest by FAR though.
11: How many times, if ever, has 6 broken up?
They were never canon so ✌️🤪
12: If the world was suddenly thrust into a zombie apocalypse, which ship would make it out alive, 2 or 8?
Bellarke vs Percabeth. This is a hard decision. Both have faced a bunch of monsters and have fought many battles. They’re both strong leaders. They’ve both beaten the odds many many times.
I’d go with Bellarke because they’ve shown time and time again that they’re willing to play dirty and willing to do whatever it takes for their people. I feel like Percabeth might struggle with who the zombies are? and ? idk.
14: Is 4 still together?
first of all, RUDE. they were never together. but i mean. they died in each other’s arms so... they were together until the end?? is that even sadder than it was before???
15: Is 10 canon?
lmao for like 3 seconds and then SOMEONE ruined SOMEONE’S character. so. they are canon, but they aren’t endgame.
16: If all ten ships were put into a couple’s Hunger Games, which couple would win?
Oooo this is a hard one. I’m going to say Bellarke for reasons mentioned above, but Braime is a close second.
17: Has anybody ever tried to sabotage 5’s ship?
They literally have one scene together. nobody needs to sabotage them. they do that all on their own.
18: Which ship would you defend to the death and beyond?
HONESTLY, all of them, for the most part. Mainly because they’re all almost not canon/not endgame so I feel like there’s usually a lot of disregard towards those ships?
The one I’ve had to explain the most is Fremione though, if that counts for anything.
19: Do you spend hours a day going through 3’s tumblr page?
I used to, but now I’m too sad :/
20: If an evil witch descended from the sky and told you that you had to pick one of the ten ships to break up forever or else she’d break them all up forever, which ship would you sink?
Probably Anidala, because I’ll only ship them pre-dark side Anakin, and uhhhhhhh. I’ve learned to live without them.
