#annabeth chase angst
is it just me or does the circe's island scene and the siren's bay scene parallel each other so perfectly in sea of monsters. in both scenes, a harmful entity shows percy/annabeth a vision of their idea of perfectionism. and in both scenes, both of them put themselves in harm's way thinking that they were going to achieve this vision while in reality they were in danger, and had to be rescued by the other. and both scenes are followed by a comforting hug. but the thing is; the different ideas of perfectionism shown to percy and annabeth align perfectly with their view of life. annabeth hates her life; she feels confident in herself but still hates her broken family, the itching to become great even though she feels so powerless, luke. but percy is different. he hates himself, inside and out. so annabeth saw her life fixed. percy saw himself fixed.

mmmmm annabeth abandonment issues vs. jason abandonment issues. both tossed aside as children, both raised at camp, both become leaders. but annabeth got a family out of it. first she had thalia and luke. then percy and grover.
jason had reyna, for a while. had leo and piper, for a while. but ultimately jason remained alone. and while annabeth grew with her found family, jason died separated from his.

friendly reminder that in the rooftop scene in tlo when her and percy watch the sunset, annabeth reveals that luke visited her before kronos overtook him. meaning every luke-based reaction from annabeth in tbotl was annabeth truly believing she could do something before that point of no return. meaning when her and the gang eventually speak to the titan lord through luke as a vessel, annabeth running and sobbing heavily is her thinking of the moment she could have changed the tide of the war but didn't.

percy jackson x gn!reader angst
less than 1000 words
Tumblr media
sitting on the sand looking at the sky filled with stars, you heard other kids singing by the campfire. the night was peaceful until you heard ruffling next to you, turning around you saw your best friend, percy.
best friend and the person you had feelings for the longest time. but how could you ever tell him that? he had his eyes on annabeth, and everybody knew that.
"what are you doing here alone?" he asked, sitting next to you. you didn't dare to shift your gaze to him.
"thinking." you replied simply.
"about?" his eyes were now focused on your side profile.
"doesn't matter." you saw how he quickly turned around when annabeth started singing along with the apollo kids
"why aren't you with her?" your question snapped percy back to reality.
"the sea is so peaceful at this time, it's calming."
looking at him, you thought how his eyes always wandered to annabeth whenever she was near. how he seemed more relaxed around her, how his feet were always pointing to her in conversations.
your feelings were choking you every time you saw them together, but what could you do? destroy something so precious to them because of your own feelings? you couldn't do that, he was your best friend after all.
"how are you feeling percy?" you asked him to stop the uncomfortable silence around you.
"to be fair, not the best, but I just talked to annabeth about it, she's such a good listener." Here he was again talking about her. you shifted your gaze from the sea to his ocean blue eyes and saw how he was now slightly smiling.
"oh! that's amazing, I bet she's wonderful. " you pretended to sound happy, ignoring how your throat was now burning, and you felt your eyes staring to fill with tears. hearing him talk about her for hours without end was tiring, to say the least.
you focused your eyes on the water again to prevent him from seeing your wet cheeks. should you lie to him again that everything's fine? he deserves the truth, but he deserves to be happy more. you could destroy yourself but not your friendship with him. it was all pointless.
you heard her in the distance calling for him, of course he obeyed.
"sorry I promised her a practice, see you tomorrow, yeah?" he got up, staring at you for a second, then going away.
"yeah.." you said quietly, not knowing if he heard you, feeling a stray tear escaping your eye. she was so perfect in every way, always looking good and not feeling scared to stand up for herself. not even mentioning how smart she was. you could wake up every day thinking, why were you that way. you often avoided his gaze, hoping this feeling would finally go away, but it didn't. it only got worse, and hiding it from him wasn't the answer.
you placed your back as well as your head on the sand, now looking at the sky painted with stars.
why weren't you her?

You stared at Percy and Annabeth. They were on the dock leaning into each other laughing at something. Your glad Annabeth was finally happy and enjoying life. Even if it hurt your heart that the person she was happy with was the guy that you're in love with.
Percy turned his head to your direction. You locked eyes for a minute before Annabeth got his attention again. You felt so guilty for even liking him and it wasn't helping with how he acted around you. You sighed and looked down, closing your eyes and holding back the tears.
You got back to what you were doing which was archery. You notched an arrow and pulled the string back. You let go and it hit the target right at the center. You were a child of Apollo which naturally made you good at archery.
You didn't know but Will your brother was watching the whole time. You were his sibling. He didn't want you to be sad, especially over a boy. So he made a plan. A plan to get you alone with Percy Jackson even if you just confess your feelings and nothing comes of it. He hoped it would help. The plan would happen in a few days.
A few days before Will’s plan that you had no idea about would happen Annabeth came into your cabin crying. You got from your bed worried for your best friend. You got everyone out of the cabin quickly and took Annabeth's hand to sit next to you on the bed.
“Hey hey hey what's wrong?” You asked as you stroked her back trying to comfort her.
She wiped her tears as fast as they came trying not to appear weak. “Percy h-he broke up with me. Gods I'm crying over a boy” She rolled her eyes but her tears continued.
“He broke up with you? Why” You were angry when you said it. Even if you loved him Annabeth was your best friend no one would hurt her if you had any control over it.
“I don’t know” She threw her hands up and continued “H-he said it just “wasn’t right” what does that even mean?”
You sighed and continued to stroke her back. “Want me to beat him up?”
You said it jokily but if she said yes you would do it no question.
She laughed and her tears slowed. “Its ok you know ill be fine i hope and hes just a stupid boy” She got up and started to leave. “Thank you Y/N for being here for me”
You smiled and replied back “Of course Annabeth i'm your friend”
She smiled back and walked out.
That night you layed in bed and just cried. You tried to be as silent as you could which you did successfully as none of your siblings woke up. You felt so guilty for even liking your best friend's boyfriend and now they broke up. Even though it probably wasn't your fault you still felt guilty. Eventually you cried yourself to sleep.
***Time skip***
It's been two days since Annabeth came into your cabin crying. It's been pretty awkward around the whole camp after her and Percy broke up. Everyone tried to make sure they were separate when doing anything at all.
Will was sure his plan would work. He was planning on doing it soon and was trying to find an excuse as to why he needed something to get you alone with Percy.
That day you ended up being pulled into one of the closets in the big house. You were about to scream when a hand clapped over your mouth. Whoever it was turned on the light over head and revealed themselves. It was Percy?
“What the hell Percy you scared me” You whispered to him.
He smirked at that then it dropped off of his face “Listen we need to talk” he said
You narrowed your eyes at him “What could we possibly need to talk about Jackson? you broke my best friends heart”
He closed his eyes and sighed. He probably felt guilty but he should honestly you can't break up with someone and not give a reason other that “It didn't feel right”
“I know and I'm sorry about that but i cant keep lying to her” His breath hit your face and that's when you realized how small this closet really was. You got out of his grip and backed up to the wall. It didn't help much but at least there was a little more distance between you.
“Lying to her? What were you lying about?”
“I-im in love with you not her”
Your eyes widened and he stared at you waiting for you to reply. “What?” You were so confused that was the only word you could say in the moment.
“I'm in love with-”
“No no no i heard you i just cant believe you actually fucking said it”
He seemed shocked at your angry tone. You continued “What do you want me to say Jackson?”
“I want you to tell me how you feel about me. I know you must feel something i see the way you look at me”
You didn't say anything so he moved closer, erasing the distance you created. You looked up at him and saw his eyes dart to your eyes then lips. He leaned down slowly to where your lips were almost touching. Before they could touch you ducked under his arm, your back facing the door. “I can't do this not to Annabeth she's been through enough”
You opened the door and walked out.
You were crying the whole way to your cabin. Luckily no one noticed and you made it there hoping no one would be inside. You weren't lucky this time Will was sitting on his bed messing with some bandages. He looked up and say you crying you stood in the doorway just crying.
Will got up and walked towards you. He closed the door then brought you to sit next to him on his bed. “What's wrong?”
“Stupid boys Will” you sniffled as you said it. His eyebrows furrowed and he guessed “Percy?”
You laughed at his first guess and nodded your head. Will quickly got rid of the plan in his head if Percy made you this upset he didn’t deserve you.
“Im sorry Y/N you don't deserve this”
“Its ok Will ill be ok”
Days went by when you found out Percy and Annabeth got back together. It hurt too much to tell Annabeth what happened but at least she's happy again. You and Percy didn't talk about what happened ever again.

Can i have some annabeth angst pls 🙏🙏🙏
I just woke up,but sure.Your wish is my pain:
If Annabeth works too much in a day she gets overwhelmed and full of anxiety.Like the lights are too bright and everything is too loud for her. Many Athena kids suffer from this but Annabeth got it the worst. Also bc of this she has to remind herself to take regular breaks, but she dosen't always do that.
At first Annabeth didn't wanna be called "a part of the Jackson family" because she saw what her first family went through when she was around (with the momster and fights and all), and she didn't wanna ruin another family, especially the family of the the very first person to stick around her, Percy.
Annabeth blames herself for Thalia's death. She thinks if Luke hadn't stopped to save her, Thalia would have survived.Even when Thalia came back she still couldn't let go of the guilt and she dosen't think she would ever get rid of the hurt in her chest every time she sees her childhood bestfriend.
Same with Luke.Weeks after The Second Titan War was over, Annabeth kept thinking if there could have been another way to end things, if she could have done something different so that Luke would have survived.
——————–————————–———–——
I still have some ideas but this post is getting too long, so reply to this post if you want part 2.

I literally can’t stop thinking about the first time people start assuming that Thalia is Percy and Annabeth’s child. Like she will look like she’s 16 forever right? So when Percy and Annabeth are in their mid thirties people start assuming that thalia is their daughter and thalia gets so offended by it it’s hilarious
Thalia: I’m older than you!
Annabeth, patronisingly: Sure you are sweetheart
Percy: Kids these days, so rude

percy is a very expressive person, when he’s happy it pulls his face into a bright grin, when he’s angry his face is pulled tight, when he’s worried his brows knit together, when he cry’s he can’t stop the tears from falling, he worries his bottom lip and though he’s the son of posídeon he can never fully get rid of the wetness around his eyes
annabeth loves his expressions, she likes being able to read him like that
she has her favorites, his mischievous smile, the curl of his brow
and she has her least favorites, the one she hates, the blank stare he gets after something terrible has happened
the one that means he’s not really there, the one that looks like he’s taken a step back from his mind, it being too horrible for him to watch
she could count the number of times she’s seen it on her hands, she could see him standing there a empty vessel as apollo took rachel his only mortal friend, as they huddled around luke’s dead body, the same with selina, with charlie, when he thought tyson had died
during the war when he would simply watch over new york, telling her about how weird it was to see his friends bodies, children’s bodies, laid out in the city he grew up in. the young memories he had growing up being splattered with blood
she could remember being in the plane flying away from atlas, her arm intertwined with his, he was shaking, one hand holding riptide and the other holding a small statue, gripping them tight like he was scared the shaking would knock them out of his grasp. thalia had told her there was another girl on the quest to get her, bianca di angelo, that the statue was the last of her. she had looked at percy, his forehead pressed against the glass, his eyes almost unseeing. he didn’t say anything.
she could remember when percy had found out sally was gone, when chiron had given her praise calling her brave, percy had stared at a corner of the room, unmoving.
it was a expression annabeth was a little scared of, one she was getting used to after tarturus.
one she still didn’t truly understand how to help with.
one that made her want to hide him away from the rest of the world, curl him into the crook of her neck and never let go

ok but what happened after annabeth ran away? how did frederick and the other lady react when one day, they woke up and their outcast child/stepchild (who is btw 7 YEARS OLD) wasn't sleeping in their bed? Did they NOT launch a police hunt for her? did frederick actually care but then the other lady shut it down? how did they feel as time passed and how did they live knowing that somewhere out there, a CHILD was dead or homeless and probably hunted down by monsters (which they knew all too well about) because of them? or did they both just brush it off as another burden off their shoulders, a blessing that was greater than annabeth's birth?

LOML
luke castellan x fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
angst, angst, angst. mini blurb to help me get my flow back :) based off of LOML by Taylor Swift.
Tumblr media
Percy Jackson isn’t sure what’s worse. Luke’s betrayal, or the look on your face when you find out. He’s sure he’ll get nightmares about it.
You’d had a wide smile on your face, the woven flower crown in your hair hinting that you’d just been out at the flower fields with your siblings.
You’d been called to help patch up Percy after what you had been told was a fight, but the somber energy in the room immediately told you something was off. It was too suspicious to have Chiron, Mr. D, Percy, Annabeth, and Grover all in the room for what was supposed to simply be slapping on a band-aid.
The smile on your face fell, and was instead replaced with a subtle frown. Your eyebrows furrowed, and you crossed your arms over your chest uncomfortably. “Is something wrong?” You asked, eyeing everyone in the room.
Percy swallowed and hesitantly glanced to Annabeth, who already had the remnants of tears in her eyes. And if the glossiness told him anything, it was that she was about to burst out crying again. Not that he could blame her.
He watched your frown grow as recognition flashed across your face. You and Luke always had been so in tune to each others emotions, he’s honestly surprised you didn’t notice the lack of his presence earlier.
“Y/N-” Chiron started, but you interrupted him. “Where’s Luke?”
Silence.
Percy didn’t believe in soulmates. It’s weird, because after finding out about greek gods and mythological beings being real, you’d think soulmates wouldn’t be that far off the table. But, they were.
But you and Luke had something Percy could tell was special. It wasn’t just a relationship - it was like a sacred bond bestowed upon the two of you by the gods themselves. Wherever Luke was, you’d be sure to follow, and vice versa. Fuck, you’d practically finish each other’s sentences as corny as that sounded.
That’s why he was so confused Luke would throw it all away so easily.
“Y/N…” Mr. D started, and Percy was sure it was the most emotion he’d ever even seen from him. You immediately began shaking your head, hands trembling as you stared at the ground. “Where is he?” You questioned again.
More silence followed, and Percy knew no one wanted to answer you, and he could understand why. Still, he took a breath and forced himself to look up at you. “He’s gone.”
It was like the five stages of grief flashed in your eyes simultaneously - merging together but still so distinguishable.
“No, he’s not.” You whimpered, “He’s in his cabin. I just saw him barely an hour ago-”
“He tried to kill Percy,” Annabeth finally breathed out. “He wants to overthrow the gods.”
You shook your head, a disbelieving laugh leaving your lips as you ran a trembling hand through your hair, moving up the white flower crown until it was lopsided on your head. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.” You said through gritted teeth, “Luke wouldn’t do that. I know him. I know him. He wouldn’t. It must’ve been- been a shapeshifter or something. I mean, with all the other monsters out there there has to be a shapeshifter right? Yeah. That’s all it was. It wasn’t Luke.”
Percy squeezed the table in front of him until his knuckles were white, doing his best to choke down his tears. It was a tempting idea, one that he’d have no problem believing if it hadn’t been for the look in Luke’s eyes. No monster could recreate that kind of rage.
“It was him,” Percy spoke up, “I know it was.”
“You don’t know anything!” You yelled, eyes wild and skin paling, “You don’t know Luke like I do! He wouldn’t do this! Sure, he gets mad at the gods sometimes, but don’t we all? It doesn’t mean we’re gonna up and start a whole rebellion!”
Grover attempted to reach out to you, tears forming in his dark eyes, “I know it’s hard-” He attempted, but you practically jumped away from him. “Don’t touch me.” You growled lowly, pointing an accusing finger in his face. Grover didn’t argue.
Everyone in the room stared at you in pity, and it made you sick. You’d show them. Luke was in his cabin right now, probably trying to sleep or playing with one of the younger campers. Because that’s what Luke does - that’s the Luke you know.
You were the love of his life. He’d told you just two days ago during a secret picnic on the beach way past your curfew. You’d choked up, but told him the same through your tears. Luke had kissed you so hard you swore you were seeing stars, and you remember thinking this kiss had felt different than all the others. Almost desperate, like he was trying to grasp onto something he knew he was losing.
No.
Luke was in his cabin.
You’d left the Big House without even a grunt, practically sprinting across camp to the Hermes cabin. You didn’t care about the weird looks the stragglers were giving you, didn’t care about the soft ache in your legs. You needed to see Luke. Needed to feel him. Needed to intertwine your souls again.
You were panting by the time you reached it, throwing the doors open and looking around wildly. “Luke?” You called, voice breaking a bit as you did.
“Y/N?” someone said, you didn’t know their name. Or maybe you did. You honestly couldn’t remember right now, the only thing running through your mind was Luke.
“Have you seen Luke?” You asked.
The camper shook her head, blonder hair falling in front of her face as she did. “Hey, are you okay-”
You were gone before she could even finish her sentence. You spent hours searching for him, like he was a pair of house keys you’d lost and desperately needed in order to go home.
The moon was high into the sky by the time you stop, your vision blurry with tears and muscles burning. You’d even prayed to your father at some point - which was something you rarely ever did.
You fall to your knees in the grass, hand clutching at the golden bracelet on your wrist. Like had given it to you two nights ago on the beach, embroided in it were the letters “LOML.”
He’dtold you it was because you were the love of his life, but right now in this moment, with your chest puffing and knees weak, you think it may stand for something else.
Because while you may be the love of Luke Castellan’s life, he was the loss of yours.

annabeth being jealous of her friends that have powers. partially because they look fun and cool. mainly because it's the parents way extending a piece of themselves. of their powers. to their offspring. it was an act of trust and faith. and all that athena gave to annabeth. annabeth had to build from the ground up. which one could argue is a test of strength. but sometimes. annabeth didn't want to be strong. she wanted to be loved.

Rhinestones
Luke Castellan x f!reader
Summary: The aftermath of beating Luke comes with consequences.
Work Count: 1.8k
TW: Violence, blood, weapons, mean Luke, broken bones
. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・.
“WHO IN OLYMPUS PUT PINK RHINESTONES ON MY DAGGERS?” You yell in anger.
After your victory in Capture the Flag, everyone in camp had a newfound sense of respect for you and your abilities. And to your delight, they contented your skill with that of the infamous Luke Castellan. Unsurprisingly, the one and only Golden Boy wasn’t too happy about this and had been on a mission to make your life a living hell since that day.
But this was too far.
The knives, your prized possessions were covered in pastel pink shimmery rhinestones, and it was most likely Luke's fault.
. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・.
You marched up to Chris taking a fistful of this orange camp shirt, “Where. is. Castellan.”
It wasn’t a question. It was a demand.
You felt Chris’ body tense, he was all too familiar with your aggressive tendencies.
“I-…I don’t know.” He replied eyes fleeting away from your gaze.
You didn’t buy his answer for a minute.
Shoving him a little more this time, you spoke, “Don’t lie to me Chris. I know you know where he is.”
He was trembling my now, that much was evident. You supposed that after throwing a knife near his head in Capture the Flag, Chris was most likely terrified of you.
You don’t know what you would’ve done to Chris if he didn’t tell you. Probably nothing pretty. So for the fearful boy in your grasp, it was lucky that you caught a glimpse of dark curls rounding the corner.
. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・・゜゜・.. ・゚゚・。. .・゜゜・.
“Castellan!” You yelled from across the dining area. Luke’s eyes found yours and based on the smirk adorning his features you confirmed the culprit.
Now it was time to apprehend him.
You took off sprinting in his direction, rhinestone knife raised in your right hand.
“You’re gonna suffer for this!” You scream, chest heaving from running.
You saw alarm pass over Luke’s eyes. Good. He should be afraid.
As you began to close in on him, he took off running in the opposite direction. What a cowered. You refused to back down, forcing your legs forward as you tried to regulate your breathing.
By now you had arrived at the woods, but it appeared that Luke had no intention of stopping anytime soon. So you chased after him.
The trees made it difficult to keep up with the Hermes boy, but you pushed on despite this. After running for what felt like hours you finally spotted Luke sitting on a large rock, one leg bent as he rested his elbow on his knee.
“You made it, Chaos. Thought I might have lost you back there.” He said.
You rolled your eyes, desiring nothing more than to rip his head from his body.
“You are so dead, Castellan.” You seethed.
He nodded, patronizing you as a smug expression clung to his features. “I see you found my present.”
“Present?” You spat, “You vandalized my daggers!”
Luke leaned back from his perched position. He was calm and collected and this made you all the more frustrated.
“Did I? Or did I just bedazzle them for you?”
You chuckled angrily, “Bedazzle? Castellan you covered my knives in pink rhinestones and the only excesses you have for you actions is that you “bedazzled” them.” You look to the sky as you throw up your hands. “Unbelievable.”
“Oh come on, Chaos, loosen up. You must have known that I had a motive.” He spoke, eyes darkening ever so slightly.
“I don’t know why I’m even hearing you out right now when I should be inflicting you with a painful death.”
Luke chuckled, clearly humoured, “Like you could, even if you tried.”
“Don’t underestimate me, Castellan. You do remember what happened last time, don’t you?” You spoke, every word coated in venom, “Or do I need to jog your memory?”
Luke raised his hands in front of him with faux surrender.
You scoffed.
“Now is there a reason you brought me here or should I resume what I had planned for you?” You said.
Luke quirked a brow, “I didn’t force you to follow me, Chaos. That’s on you.”
You didn’t reply. Opting to glare at him with hatred.
Luke appeared amused at your anger. He pushed his body off the rock and stalked up to you. His dark eyes captured your gaze as he stood before you. The Hermes boy towered over you, and you had to tilt your head up to see his face.
You didn’t realize how hard you were clenching your fists until you felt the familiar trickle of crimson blood staining your palms. Four crescent wounds adored your palms on each hand.
Luke noticed the small amount of blood seeping from your clenched fists. “You must really hate me.” He said, a smirk remaining on his face, “The feeling is mutual.”
You turn from him to take a deep breath, “I didn’t come here to discuss the obvious, Castellan.” You state. “In fact, I didn’t come here to talk at all.”
That moment you broke. Your walls of restraint crumbled, unleashing all your anger.
You punched Luke. You punched him hard, and you liked it. You were a volcano, rage erupting and flames lapping up anything in its path.
Luke stumbled back at the impact. He recovered quickly, standing tall as he spat blood from his mouth onto the ground. He loved this. Luke loved your rage, and he had no clue why. There was just something about the way your eyes darkened and the way you carried yourself that had Luke drinking in your anger. So instead of recoiling from your touch, he edged you on even more. “Come on, Chaos. That’s all you got? You're Pathetic.”
He obtained the reaction he was looking for. You lunged at him, and the force of your clenched fist came with you. You swung at his face again, but this time he caught your hand.
“Nuh uh, Chaos. Don’t ruin this pretty little face of mine, how else am I supposed to look at you?”
A growl of frustration rose from the back of your throat. Was this idiot seriously flirting with you right now? It seemed like with every passing second you had a stronger desire to permanently remove that perfect smirk adorning his lips. Hands finding his chest you pushed him down with all your power, tackling him to the ground.
Luke groaned as you set yourself over him, mimicking the same position from Capture the Flag. You reached for his arms to restrain him, but he constantly evaded your reach. You continued to go for his arms the height of his limbs forcing you to surge forward. When you finally reached his arms you relaxed, shifting back. Why wasn’t he fighting back?
Luke’s eyes captured yours as something new passed through them.
“If you wanted me on top of you, you should’ve just asked.” You prodded, but he seemed to snap at your words.
Luke pushed you down, snagging his limbs out of your grasp. He gripped your wrist and pulled you to the side, but it was to no avail. Your thighs were gripping his body, fighting to remain. You climbed over his chest, pushing your elbow down to his throat.
“Have I joged your memory yet, Castellan?”
He only groans in response as you move back.
Luke’s eyes are screwed shut, an unreadable expression falling over his face. “Stop moving.” He spoke breathlessly.
Your eyes widen
“What?”
He inhales sharply, “You heard me, Chaos. Stop moving.”
You freeze in place as Luke shoves you off of himself.
Your shock only increases as he stands, pulling you into his grip.
His eyes sweep over you, hair in disarray, shirt stained with dirt from the ground.
“Finally,” He breathes, “You listened.”
His words snap you out of your shock, as you go in for another blow. Luke anticipated this though. He caught your fist and twisted your arm around your back. A whine escaped your lips at the sudden pain.
“You’re always so dam (pun intended) stubborn. Always so hot-headed, it’s incredibly frustrating.” He spoke, pulling on your arm with more force.
“Luke,” You cry out. Silently begging for him to release you, even though you both knew you’d never voice your true meaning. Begging him to let you go would be admitting defeat, and you would never allow that.
“You want me to let go huh? Well, we both know the last time we fought you dislocated my shoulder. I couldn’t use it for days, probably drank more ambrosia than is even possible.”
Your body desperately fights against his, in an aim to free your arm. You try to escape his grasp, but his arms are wrapped securely around you. You involuntarily cry out again as Luke tugs your arm harder.
“Luke,” You whine more desperately this time.
He only allowed another one of his signature smirks to dress his face.
“Stop fighting me Chaos. I am the only victor of this camp. There’s no room for the both of us.” He said, voice hard and cold.
Luke shoved you to the ground pushing you down, but you do your best to resist, fighting against his grip.
“Do you want me to break this little arm of yours?” He asks, anger coating his tone.
You shake your head. The pain made your eyes water, as you spent all your energy holding them in. You didn’t understand why people liked the boy in front of you. He was a monster. Sure he was nice to the newbies, and he adored Annabeth, but to you, he was worse than the Typhon, who rendered all the gods almost entirely powerless. Maybe Luke had a nice side, but you were much more accustomed with the one before you.
“You’re quiet now, aren’t you? Never thought I’d see the day when Chaos, herself has nothing to say.”
You have always hated Luke Castellan. But in this moment you despise him with your entire being. He was humiliating you. He was taking away your glory. Piece by piece Luke was tearing it from you, and you were doing all you could to hold on to it.
During your fight with Luke, you had approached a riverbank. Your father could help you thought. Dad, I need you. You called for your father god of the seas, yet as Luke forced you to the ground you knew that no help would come from Poseidon. Either he didn’t hear or he didn’t care, either way, you are solely left to defend yourself. And as glory fades, embedding itself into Luke, you are desperate to take action.
As Luke pushed your body down harder you reasoned that you needed to act immediately. So without another thought you rolled to your side, slamming your body weight down on your arm in Luke’s hold. An intense crack was heard and instantly Luke tore his hands from you. You screamed in anguish as you fought the water forming in your eyes.
A long pause of silence filled the air between you and the Hermes boy.
“Chaos…” He spoke quietly. Something that almost sounded like worry filled his voice.
You didn’t care what Luke had to say. All that you could think of was peeling every ounce of his glory and bestowing it upon yourself. You wanted respect. You demanded it. You took a deep breath, standing upright. A dark chuckle fell from your lips, “You were right about one thing, Castellan. There’s no room for the both of us.”
Luke doesn’t make an effort to speak. He just stood there in shock. You were glad, though as you studied him, it appeared that hundreds of emotions passed his eyes, anger, confusion, hatred, but most of all concern.
You took another deep breath to hold in your suffering, but the sheer intensity of the pain was too much. As you opened your mouth, desperate for air to fill your lungs, you were met with nothing. You couldn’t feel anything besides the riveting pain travelling down your entire body. Your mind became fuzzy and your body was dizzy. Before you could even react, you were falling. Down, down, down. Your body went numb, and you were sure that you would’ve hit the ground with a concussion, if Luke hadn’t lunged forward, slipping his arms around you, and catching your fall.

A/n I had this all ready to publish, and then half of it like deleted itself...so if the second half of this part sucks, its cause I had to rewrite it in my anger.
