hello :D i believe i joined around mid-april 2022! i could be wrong but it’s generally around that time

and, just as it has been for months on end, i joined the website for sun/moon related content those twinks have ruined me

honestly shocked i never got one before, as i sure as hell was the type of kid to have a tumblr, i just never made one aside from seeing the posts on different websites!

Emergency: Help save my children's lives

Dear humanity,

I am Habib from Gaza. I am married and have four children: Menna, 12 years old, Adam, 10 years old (suffering from quadriplegia), Maria, 6 years old, and Ezz, one year old. Although they are young, they have survived previous wars, but this current war is the most difficult of all. This is a war of genocide, and the difficulty of the war lies in the inability to meet the needs of my son Adam, who needs special care.

Over the past ten months, we have been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Our once peaceful home in Khan Yunis has been reduced to rubble, and now we find ourselves displaced in Deir al-Balah, living in squalid conditions in a makeshift tent on the streets. The devastation not only deprived us of our physical shelter, but also destroyed my livelihood - the once thriving business that supported our family's well-being, is now in ruins. The daily struggle for survival is exacerbated by the scarcity of basic necessities such as clean water, adequate sanitation and basic medical supplies

Our home was the place where we found hope and safety, and where we made precious memories. Losing him was like losing years of our lives.

Not only that, they destroyed my source of livelihood, burned it, and demolished it with bulldozers, and today I am without a home and without a job. I was working in a store I owned that met the needs and expenses of my family

Living in tents is miserable. There is a lack of drinking water, hot sun rays, and strange insects that have terrified my children. What hurts me most is my young son Ezz, who I see growing up in an unclean environment and with no healthy food for him. I believe he has not received his right to life.

At this stage, my husband and I decided to go to you and create an account on the Go Fund Me website and ask you to help us in these difficult times until we get out of Gaza, from the land of war to the land of peace. All we need from you is to support us and help us to get out of the war, even if you cannot help. You should spread the word. This campaign is everywhere and among your friends. The amount that will be collected from this campaign :

We will spend it by paying the amount to coordinate entry through the Rafah land crossing, which connects Gaza to the State of Egypt, since, as I mentioned, they charge an adult $5,000, but depending on the pressures, crises, and waiting, the amount may reach $7,000 per person, and children $2,500 to $4,000.

We will also use it for the rest of the travel and safe transportation expenses to provide for all family members.

Why do you need your earbuds to have a wire so badly?

I am assuming this is about a post I reblogged like six months ago when I went off on forced technological enshitification and the slow erosion of consumer options. But sure, I'll bite.

Why do I "need" my earbuds to have a wire? I dunno, Anon, maybe I:

Don't want to have to worry about recharging my earbuds.

Don't want my earbuds to be even easier to lose.

Don't want my earbuds to need separate accessories that are as easy to lose as the earbuds.

Prefer to have bluetooth turned off on my devices for security and safety reasons.

Like being able to seamlessly plug my earbuds into my computer, my MP3 player, or any other device with a headphone jack.

Don't want to spend 50 dollars on decent wireless earbuds when I can do all the above things with a pair of solid earbuds that cost me like $12 during the Obama administration.

Don't care about what kinds of headphones or earbuds people wear but don't like what it says about our society when other people apparently care what kind of earbuds I'm wearing so much they have send an Anonymous ask to interrogate me about it.

And I guess, more abstractly, because fuck Apple. That's why.

Given how much the skaal fear and hate werewolves, i don't think it would be that much of a stretch to imagine that there would be some sort of a werewolf hunting organisation in solstheim 🤔

In my mind, frea is kind, determined and would do anything to protect her people but i dont think she'd be as... passionate about killing werewolves as the silver hand in skyrim does ? She's not in it to sate some weird desire to kill and maim, she's not in it to "purify" or rid the world of all lycanthropes... The skaal believe that all life is sacred, so i feel like frea would maybe feel the same way about werewolves too ? She knows that they're their enemies or at least someone incredibly dangerous and thus a threat to her village, but she recognises they're people too. It's kind of uhhh. She will not go out of her way to kill a lycanthrope, but she will not hesitate to dispatch them as quickly as possible if they prove to be a threat.

FUCK. No you know what. She's a shaman isn't she??? She's good at fighting, but she's been training her whole life to take her father's place as the village's shaman, so I don't think she would join a werewolf hunting squad, because that means she couldn't stay in the village and protect it. She would probably make and enchant weapons for the hunters to use ? Or maybe put wards around their village and/or create talismans for the other skaal to use (like a mummified wolf paw).

But fuck man. Silver hand frea hits so much harder. Ouuugh the angst...

Miguel: Miguel is extremely patient. he doesn't get angry immediately and doesn't really show his anger. there's only a few things that could anger him. he only shows his anger when fighting villains at work.

Kahel: Kahel isn't exactly patient but they're also not impatient. it's more like, they don't get angry because they don't take things seriously. at least, it appears that way.

Cristina: Cristina is patient. however, incompetence ticks her off so much. Cristina usually only gets angry at work. she's the silent-anger type. you won't see her angry, but you'll know she is.
