There had been a period of time after you got together where Steve sometimes wondered if you were ever going to properly relax around him. Like truly relax.

It doesn’t take long for him to snag another from the linen cupboard but by the time he’s back, he can hear the spray of the shower. You’ve left a trail of clothes leading up to it. Something warm stirs in his chest.

He doesn’t make a big deal about it and you seem grateful for it. Beyond the odd complaint about hogging the water, to which Steve sticks his tongue out at you before switching, it’s almost like an ordinary shower. Washing up, wetting his hair.

Except, y’know, til you offer to wash it.

I swear to god do not get a boner right now, Steve thinks desperately to himself, his head ducked down so you could reach it more easily. You’re not making it easy for him. You’re paying him so much attention, your fingertips soothing along his scalp as you lather up the shampoo, massaging the skin. It’s heaven.

Steve doesn’t think he’s ever seen you this relaxed whilst the two of you have no clothes on.

You’ve been trying not to be so iffy about being naked but honestly Steve didn’t care if you were forever. He likes you any way he can get you.

Usually, the lead up to sex is the only time Steve gets to see you naked— when it’s all charged air and an eager energy to start making each other feel good. Hot kisses and a feverish vision of pleasure.

He’s not watching, okay? But as he gets himself dressed, just in his pyjama pants, it doesn’t go unnoticed that you’re not scrambling to cover up. Instead, you’re at ease, slipping on your panties and then one of his own large t-shirts. You must’ve stolen it when he wasn’t in the room.

It makes him pause, a momentary gawk, before he remembers to close his mouth. You catch the end of it and a flustered expression crosses your face, as if realising how much you’re exposing yourself. And that just won’t do— so Steve remedies it with a kiss, dragging you over to him by the waist so he can lean up against the counter and kiss you sweetly.

You both have wet hair. Your skin is all dewey from the shower and your eyelashes look extra long when they’re wet. You’re fucking beautiful.

It’s all Steve can think as you both brush your teeth in the mirror— making eye contact every couple of seconds and grinning like goofballs. It’s not productive. Steve adores it.

You’re both half-dressed, you without pants and Steve without his shirt, and it’s so damn homey, so cozy, so in love, that it makes Steve’s chest a little tight, in a good way. It’s intimate. You trust him.

Oh my god, He thinks. You trust him.

His pants grow tight. The flimsy material of his pyjamas hide nothing. Steve holds one hand in front of his crotch and looks to the ceiling for strength, because there’s no way you won’t be able to notice.

You lean over and spit out your toothpaste and then look at him through the mirror.

In a complete reversal of the usual, suddenly Steve’s the flustered one and you’re the cool, calm one. Your smile only grows at his explanation, some of the mischief exchanging for fondness.

“That’s okay,” You say softly. You press up on your toes to kiss his cheek and wander towards the door. “Do you wanna cuddle tonight?”

Steve’s cock gets harder at your words and he groans, because he knows you know what you’re doing— especially when you laugh a little, a cheeky sound. You’re playing into his in-love fantasy, his domestic dream, that somehow has a direct line to his dick now, which is probably most definitely a problem for later.

You know, one of the many things I love about Gale’s confession is that it’s not a spontaneous, frivolous thing. Yes, the slow burn to get to that point is verrry slow, but my god is it worth the wait. Because when Gale does confess, he is absolutely certain about how he feels. He knows he has fully committed his heart to Tav, he knows he loves Tav, and he knows wants to share his life with them (however much he has left). All he needs is for Tav to return his feelings. Is it any wonder that he is so nervous, and then so relieved, when Tav tells him they’re in love with him, too?

I’ve mentioned before that some of the dialogue hints at Gale already considering marrying Tav some day. And why not? This may be his last night alive, but he can dream. He knows Tav is his beloved, and he intends to bond with them, intertwining their spirits. What is marriage if not a public acknowledgement of that?

And, to your point op, he’s already considering his home as ‘their’ home. He could’ve said ‘if I were home’. But he said if ‘we’ were home. A home that he considers the ‘centre of his universe’:

Gale isn’t just considering intertwining their spirits, he’s considering intertwining their lives. All without hesitation, because at this point he loves Tav so much that in his mind they are already woven into his life, seamlessly.

So how lovely is it, and how perfect, that in the ending where Tav accepts his proposal/agrees to spend the rest of their life with him—just not in Waterdeep—Gale says this:

Because Tav is the centre of his universe now.

And Tav is his home.

Any thoughts about how you're gonna approach moons sis def being a fading kit? How would this work in your world?

I've gotten this question a few times and it's honestly really simple; she can be a Fading Kit who refused to fade.

Fading Kits are extremely common to the point of not being a thing that is mourned. Clan Cats believe that they're StarClan spirits who come down to deliver the souls of the rest of the litter, and sometimes "fall in" either by accident or to briefly visit.

So, Moon's parents would believe she was just a normal occurance, until they were wracking their brains trying to figure out what's happening and realize the description fits what should have just been a StarClan visitor.

But that's as far as I'm going with it for now. I need to see where this arc goes, because I might end up deciding that it would fit the story better to do something different entirely. You know how the writing team is about having 6th books that are massively disconnected from the tone and themes of the 1st one.

It's just too early to be making plans-- but the idea that Moonpaw's sister would be a Fading Kit in BB's cultural overhauls isn't even slightly hard to work with.

I love this question. I personally believe Felassan was a Spirit of Purpose.

Felassan's purpose feels fitting because everything about him suggests a quiet yet unshakable drive. His loyalty to Solas and their shared mission—to help the People—is deeply rooted. However, while both he and Solas share the same goal of helping the People, their methods diverge.

Felassan sees value in the modern elves, believing in their potential, whereas during The Masked Empire, Solas has not yet had the chance to interact with the world firsthand. Despite their differing perspectives, Felassan's sense of purpose of helping the People remains steadfast, even at the cost of his own life.

A Spirit of Purpose wouldn’t just seek to fulfill their own goals but would inspire and guide others toward their own—something Felassan does with Briala, as we see in The Masked Empire and even Solas, in the notes we find in DATV.

But, of course, spirits are rarely so easily defined. Courage has merit—Felassan shows remarkable boldness in defying Solas and bravery in facing the consequences.

Oh, this is a fabulous question, I'm going to have a fantastic time answering this, thank you!

First, I want to make clear though that this is just my opinion and my take on Fade's character. You're welcome to write her how you like and if you disagree with my headcanons, that's okay! You're welcome to form your own.

Now, for my answer.

I think when writing Fade it's important to keep in mind that her driving force is loyalty. Almost everything she does is in service to someone she cares about - usually him - and she will pursue this service even to her own detriment.

She blackmailed the Protocol even though they would probably have killed her if she failed, and when they offered to help her and gave her information on how to further her search, she joined them. She throws herself so hard into her work it makes her seriously unwell at times, such as when she got so distressed and sleep-deprived that Brimstone needed to send her on a wellness vacation to Vietnam to recover.

Through her voicelines and additional lore (such as the audio recording of Cypher interrogating her) we can glean that her manner of speaking is informal and "masc". She calls people "abi" in the same way one might say "dude" or "bro". She's friendly with her teammates, offering them coffee and encouragement (and we also know she has a network of friends in the Protocol, with Clove's D&D club for example). She's arrogant and clearly recognises her own skills, but on top of that, we also know that she's heavily depressive, angry, and fearful. She's terrified of losing him, but we know she's beginning to believe he might be dead from when they didn't find him in the Hourglass cells. "You live until you're forgotten, right?"

When I'm writing her I tend to write from the perspective of a woman who's deeply afraid, but not for herself. She sees very little value in her own life, at least when she isn't using her life to serve. She's self-sacrificing and too easily puts herself in harms way if she believes it will protect those she loves, and when she's struggling she isolates herself. From the Vietnam situation, we've seen it takes other people reaching out for her to get the help she needs when things are dire, and when she didn't find him in Hourglass, she was very clearly upset but didn't ask for help, instead kind of solidifying in her resolve to continue the search without giving up on him.

When things are good, I think she's a pretty loving person. A lot of people depict her as edgy all the time but I think that's doing her a disservice, personally. She's depressed and self-sacrificing and I think without help she could very easily fall into dangerous patterns (I imagine she uses smoking, drinking, hookups with strangers etc to cope with how bad she feels).

That said though, she's a good person. She's warm with her teammates and has a sense of humour with them. She can be optimistic in dire situations, too, although likely this is just to avoid accepting the reality of him possibly being dead. I think when she loves someone, she does it in a way that needs communication to work, because she could otherwise love them in a way that could be smothering or overly possessive, but when she doesn't need to be permanently afraid, she'd be a great person to be in love with.

I imagine that love as a concept is very hard for her, now. This is a hc, but I imagine that after the pain of losing him and how close it's come to killing her a number of times now, she'd be terrified of loving people again. I think she'd push people away long before ever accepting she wants them, and it would take a lot of time for her to believe she deserves to love another, especially if she's falling in love before saving him. Loving someone is distraction, it's attention spent off of the trail of hunting him, but it's also shockingly vulnerable. It's putting her heart on the chopping block and hoping her partner won't cut it.

ugh, I love her. Apologies for this really long answer - I really, really love both Fade and Neon and I have a LOT to say about them both, and how they work together. I really enjoyed answering this, thank you so much for the question and I hope this can help a little!

BUT FOR LIKE Yunie, who she canonically has a crush on no matter what, ofc Neera would always help her out even if Yunie came to her to satisfy her sexually, Neera would. But romantically? Neera is taking her crush to her grave because she knows she couldn't make Yunie happy. And she's fine with that, because she's not the type to be upset if Yunie was with someone else, as long as Yunie is happy and not in danger. (In Brooke/Yunieverse it is sooooo complicated for her, but I'll get into that another day bc this was not the ask)

For Neera, getting into a relationship with her is about either her allowing you to cross her boundaries or you carefully crossing her boundaries (or in Wren's case, crossing her boundaries without her realizing) She wants a "normal" relationship in the sense of, having a significant other you love and trust. And she doesn't believe that's possible for her. She doesn't believe she can let her guard down enough to ever have that with someone, so she's accepted the fact that she won't EVER have it.

IN THE CASE OF HER AND DELILAH HOWEVER its all three of those somehow. Delilah houdinied her way into Neera's heart, and Neera is not hackles up about it because its literally Delilah. Neera has always cared about her and eventually it turns to love and she wants to be the one to protect her and care for her and make her happy. With Delilah, Neera on a daily basis *proves to herself* internally that she can be WANTED and not *needed.

(general info doodle i made a few months ago) (i say au but idk it could become permanent in my daydream zone, Talon is meant to have his own canon but I like him too much and am bad at writing plots)

This is still a fairly recent development so the current needed-SOME-foundation lore is:

talon and al were as together as talon would allow at the time (so not really) but he liked Al most even amidst his anxieties about men. He leaves for a long while with no contact once he realizes he's getting toooooo comfortable with al, comes back for another round of comfort and gets attached again to both the guy he knew AND the guy's boyfriend

I dont think Talon actually likes being referred to as boyfriend by either of them, nor would he refer to them as his boyfriends, but the attachment and "role" is still there and that's what they loosely consider him (i have to explore this further, theres still a lot i dont know abt him) while also knowing he could just decide to leave again if he so wishes
