This is known as the drag pride flag, which felt really relevant to share given the state of things.

I don’t want to see any businesses sporting a goddamn rainbow flag this pride month if they don’t have the courage to say a fucking word against the horrific acts of discrimination our community is being put through today. You shouldn’t get to profit off of performative inclusion if you can’t bring yourself to act when it fucking matters.

You know I’m not the only person who made the connection to “normal people with morals” and puritans. I mean the person in my pinned (now called @reversedshinyoumaru on tumblr or @shoustigerspear on Twitter as well as @chaotic-goon have made clear they don’t support Pride, kink or the celebration of all sexualities and instead sound exactly like republicans who voted for the drag show ban in Tennessee
Want a comparison? Look no further than this blog!

As I said before, Marshie doesn’t go to and never attended Pride events
Marshie agrees with someone who doesn’t go to pride either
Marshie has said the censorship of porn isn’t linked to censoring queer/trans people’s content and ignored the fact that even kindergarten friendly books about same sex parents were also banned under the excuse that they were “too sexual” or that even Disney movies are heavily censored or completely banned if they just mention lgbt
Neither of them know that public sex doesn’t happen at pride, that Folsom is 18+ with ID check but how dare I call you out on following Republican conservatisms to the T right?

A piece trying to express my anger around the recent drag bans across the United States. These bills attack the queer community as a whole and anyone who dares step outside their gender norms.

Protect Jenny! Section 28 should be seen as one of a number of measures that Thatcher’s government took to curb the influence of local authorities. Backed by right-wing groups and the press, it sought to discredit local authorities which it perceived as focusing too much on minority issues by labeling them as the ‘loony left’ and holding up examples of political correctness as evidence of how out of touch they were with the common man. The use of the Danish children’s book Jenny lives with Eric and Martin by the Labour-controlled Inner London Education Authority was the touchpaper that ignited the debate leading to Section 28. The book dealt with some of the day-to-day issues that a child with same-sex parents might encounter.
Local Government Act 1988 – Excerpt from Section 28:
(1) A local authority shall not: (a) intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality; (b) promote the teaching in any maintained school [as defined in the Act] of the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretend family relationship
Sounds familiar…

Anti drag laws
The laws seem to be going too far. But it seems like a good idea to keep Drag queens outof schools.

Saw this mentioned on Instagram and holy fuck I hadn't even considered it....
Tennessee's anti-drag laws would criminalize Purim celebrations.
Purim Spiels usually involve a lot of drag, and it's often a tradition in Orthodox congregations for a Rabbi to dress up as Queen Esther or Vashti in the Purim Spiel. As a kid, all the Rabbis at my Jewish day school would put on a Purim Spiel, and yes, two Rabbis dressed in drag to play Queen Esther and Queen Vashti. Even in more socially conservative Jewish communities, Purim is the one instance where you'll see cishet men wear make-up and glitter. Purim has always involved a lot of cross-dressing and gender-bending and flamboyant make-up and costumes.
And I mean if you're a Christian and you don't care about Jews .....this would also criminalize Mardi Gras celebrations.
