Congrats to show!Jaime for finally making it to #1 on a popular media list! 😂 Good to see that heading onto the 5th anniversary of the disastrous S8, Jaime's forced Twincest ending is still truly hated by the masses and that Dumb and Dumber's dream of J/C becoming the "true love" story the audience would grow to love be completely shattered over and over. Anybody with a functioning brain could have told them Twincest was never going to be loved. GRRM himself told them that through asoiaf and making Jaime/Brienne his Beauty and the Beast story but of course D&D never understood the books and thought they could do better. Anyways it's always nice to see D&D get hate for ruining Jaime lmao.

It's not even that I find her a terrible person (although I do), it's just that her character is honestly a bore to me for some reason. She's not that complex or interesting and her story doesn't compel me :/

favorite season: Season 2, I suppose. Mostly just the three earlier seasons before the writing started to tank tho.

Yeah, I'm not going reread the books and I hope with all my heart that they're never finished. I will keep the show ending where they actually die together. The show is the only canon for me now.

But really, GRRM? He is a great writer but we could have one of the greatest romances of modern fiction in Jaime and Cersei if they had stayed together. Dysfunctional, toxic, codependent, and so beautiful. Instead we seem to be getting... Braime. No offense to the shippers.

I'm not on Twitter but when I heard about this drama going on I had to take a look lol. Major kudos to the davosfingers guys for being one of the very few on Twitter keeping the cheats on check and being fair making their polls one of the very few legit ones on that hellsite. Twitter and Google doc polls are easily hacked/manipulated into and it goes mostly unchecked which is why it's easy to not take most of the polls from sTaN tWt seriously. The only other accurate polls were the official HBO ones from last year that had an anti-bot system in place. Anywho it's funny seeing Cersei stans trying to blame everyone else for the bot acting as if it was anti-Sansa people when Cersei/Twincest stans have already been caught several times in the past using bots and cheating lol. They ain't fooling no one but themselves.

One of the worst act of Jaime was him raping Cersei. Cersei was truly traumatized by her son's death and she was clearly pushing Jaime away. But Jaime not once think about his sister feelings nor he ever mourn Joffery death. While he acknowledged Joffery sadism but he blame Cersei for making him Robert son. His casual attitude thinking he could replace Joffery with another kid is disgusting. It seems like he doesn't connect with his children.

Hello Dot! Yep, Jaime raping Cersei is probably the most fucked up thing he ever did in the books, worse than trying to kill Bran or threatening to catapult the baby. With Bran and the baby you can argue that he doesn't know or care about them, that he's doing it to protect his family or stop the war or whatever, but what he did to Cersei? Unexcusable.

I said it before, but Jaime is a heterosexual Narcissus, in love with a female reflection of himself, and you can see it clearly in that scene. He hates himself, so he tries to love and comfort himself through her. He doesn’t really think of Cersei as a person, with her own thoughts and needs and traumas. Her pain means nothing to him. There’s no empathy or sympathy or compassion, not even pity. Even if he doesn’t think about Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella as his own children, he should be able to use some mental energy on cognitive empathy and figure out why his lover that he supposedly loves so so much is heartbroken about her son dying horribly in her arms.

If Jaime is the valonqar I would prefer him to kill himself after he kills Cersei out of grief. They should die together no matter what. And Braime should never be canon although it probably will be even if not the endgame. There is no way Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth are getting a happy, romantic ending lol. I also don't think Jaime has completely fallen out of love with Cersei although he wants to. I doubt he will be 'redeemed' because that's just not the sort of character he is.

I’m rewatching 6x08 (the tent scene, folks. the tent scene!) and it suddenly struck me when Jaime is threatening Edmure Tully, just how ugly he looks. Like, NCW is a very attractive man, he does not have to try at all to be beautiful. But here? He’s hideous here. 

Half of his face is cloaked in darkness and his lips are curled in a snarl. My brain immediately thinks of the beast in Beauty and the Beast when he’s first revealed to Belle after kidnapping her father. (Forgive me for the shitty screencap.) 

But in the beginning when he’s talking to Brienne, there’s such a difference in how he looks. 

He looks like a hopeful child here. You see the gold in his hair and the softness of his eyes and you can see him. He’s so open and endearing and he honestly seems like he wants to throw himself at Brienne’s feet and pledge his whole soul to her. 

NCW definitely did his research with Jaime because in all of the scenes with Cersei or even referring to Cersei, Jaime is monstrous.
