What are your ryomina headcanons? I've loved these two since I played P3 FES, and I'm so excited to get back into the fandom^^

hi!! thank you so much for the ask, welcome back to the p3 fandom, it's always a delight to see new and old ryomina fans alike! 🥺💛💙

as for headcanons, here's a "few" i that i tend to come back to a lot! my interpretations of them are influenced from both the source material and other's fanworks, so i've linked to them as i saw fit! hcs in no particular order under the cut because oops this got long (900 word bullet point list, mentions of reload content up to 1/1)

minato's hair is dyed blue (hair originally brown, you can see it in his roots!) and he has a beauty mark on under his left eye. i like mirror imagery and there's definitely a few arts i've rb'd that portray them this way :) (e.g. this one by feliichu and this one by marasschino)

as far as i'm concerned the bathhouse scene from the manga where ryoji's hair down = similar shape to minato? that is canon to me. this art from xierru is a fun depiction of hair down ryoji :D

ryoji is homeless. everyone say thank you foxmulder_whereartthou for this awesome fic it's why i have the headcanon! but like seriously. we have no idea where ryoji lives and i could believe this.

minato dying at the end of the game is sad to an outsider's POV BUT!!! ryomina gets to be together in death for the rest of their lives (this illustration from mafuwara is a gorgeous representation of them as nyx avatar + the seal)!

speaking of the seal, they are like telepathically communicating to me in the great seal together. (mymp3 had a comic wip with this. give it a looksie :D)

ryoji likes cuddling with minato because he's warm :) (something something orpheus has fire affinity, minato is warm by extension and ryoji is cold because he's death)

ryoji's camera roll is filled with pictures of minato! ryoji... loves life, to me. and i feel that photography and journaling are perfect ways of expressing gratitude and capturing the moments in life that are most important to you :3

my other favorite activity for these two is stargazing- i feel like it's something they could appreciate either in life or death (looking at the stars from the great seal...)! they do a bit of this in the fic eurydice's vow by crescentmoontea (P5R spoilers, takes place in third sem it's a very fun fic concept).

between ryoji and minato i feel like ryoji was the one who fell in love first- and it doesn't really click in place for minato that he loves ryoji until december hits (appriser reveal + ryoji transforming into thanatos). its about the realization that ryoji was with him for his whole life and that he gets him like no one else does.

ryoji is like a sad and wet puppy who is so scared minato won't like him back. he is so scared of being rejected by minato to me like. this boy straight up deflates after he does his "i know i said i wanted us to be friends, but... i actually want to be something more." / "what about you?" on 12/1 ???

AND SPEAKING of wet puppy ryoji. ryoji is like. every animal in the world to me. he's a bird. he's a cat. etc. and also ryoji knows every language in the world ever and uses it to express his love for minato. see this fic from superheroics to see what i mean.

both of them are lactose intolerant. "this isn't lactose, it's milk!" i definitely think ryoji would make himself sick eating ice cream and milk he doesn't know what lactose is. (i made a silly poll about this once and the tags were very entertaining.)

i see minato as transmasc or nonbinary depending on the day (schrodinger's headcanons babey they're simultaneously true and not true at the same time!!). either way he's not cis to me and ryoji is like. His Gender. anyway go read this fic by nail_gun for t4t ryomina :D !

ryomina are WEIRD GUYS TO ME!!! they are so strange and they understand each other better than anyone else because of the circumstances of their relationship!!! if you asked them to do the "i wonder what i taste like" meme i think they'd start biting each other (affectionate) tbh but that's just me.

after ryoji gives minato the music box in 12/31 on reload, minato listens to the music box every night in january. this boy has insomnia and also chronic illness to me (things that housing death does to you). but i think he finds comfort in the melody and memories he made with ryoji.

in general, i think it's fun to imagine minato taking ryoji to places and show him things he's interested in! i feel that ryoji takes a lot of interest in minato's life, this isn't really a hc because in reload, minato DOES give ryoji a tour of the school (11/9) and possibly port island (11/12). but ITS CUTE OK! (tangentially related fanwork: this series of doodles from vinnigami: 1, 2, and 3)

not a hc but minato's kindness is like the backbone of their relationship and i think we would not have the ryomina we know and love today if minato wasn't such a kind soul. oh minato.... we can learn so much from you... like ryoji did!

To add on your dancing/performing analysis list, I was wondering if you had any thoughts on yeonjun from txt. You previously spoke about txt as a whole a couple of times, and it made me think more about him, bc he's usually hailed as the best 4th gen dancer (which, kind of rude since Hwanwoong is right here, but also understandable, since the more an idol gets popular, the more their fans will swear that this idol's the best at doing X, and people who don't know any better will accept it at face value.) I find him satisfying to watch because his moves seem clean, but at the same time I don't find him interesting/entertaining and I can't pinpoint why? Maybe he's just another case of idol dancers who are good at mimicking choreography rather than embodying it? I'd like to have your opinion if you're not tired of talking about txt despite not being interested in them 😭😂

yeonjun doesn't really have a personality, that's why. technically he's very good, but he's not bringing much to the table other than 'boy', if you know what i mean. personally i do also think he's not super great at embodying choreo, but tbh the lack of personality in performance is a much bigger issue, and it's not just him that has this problem. most of the popular fourth gen male dancers are guilty of this; yeonjun, lee know, hyunjin, juyeon, even wooyoung and yunho have it to some extent as well. and i should point out that it's not just exclusive to kpop dancers - although it is significantly more prominent of an issue because of the focus on the face - but it happens amongst regular dancers too. it's pretty common for dancers to have very good technical skills but struggle to express emotion or character with their performances, and the best dancers are the ones that can do both. there's circumstances in dance where it's less of an issue, but in a performance form like kpop where the focus is so forward on the face and character of the idol, it's impossible to hide that lack. it's the reason why san, seonghwa, and hongjoong can put out much more captivating performances despite having worse technique, because they're playing to their specific strengths and they know exactly what you need in order to make a good performance in this specific form.

i used to love pjs daycare back when it was around. i was very young but thank god i wasnt impressionable. i didnt normalize anything that happened in the comic, but i never figured there was anything wrong with it until i looked back on it and realized how gross it and the creator was.

HONESTLY??? im kinda at loss myself. logically youd think oh iroh went to see the dragons after lu ten died cus he had his spirit journey then. so iroh finally returned to the fn like oh yeah i left the siege but i did kill the last dragon so yeah! which to the court probably doesnt make up for leaving the siege but whatever.

ive seen hcs of people being like well maybe iroh saw the dragons before the siege and still kept the secret despite still being asshole #1 at the time because he has always been a spiritual man and has taken spirit stuff seriously. but then the sun warriors seemed to recall him almost fondly so???? i dont know?????? plus the masters would have to deem him worthy. so maybe they deemed him worthy in the way that they saw potential in him but he couldnt see the forest for the trees at the time due to his own selfishness and bloodthirst. cus i do like the idea of him seeing the masters and learning the true meaning of fire just to go on his bloody siege anyway because i think that could almost make him a parallel to zuko if you tilted your head and squinted. took what the masters taught him for granted and he lost his child as payment for his idiocy (the child paying for the parents mistakes seems to be a common theme with iroh, wouldnt you think?).

so i truly like the second one more but it just barely doesnt make as much sense story wise as the first one. if i could find a way to make the second one fit into canon then best believe id do that. like maybe iroh returning to the sun warriors for a second time and confessing how he took the teachings for granted and the masters deeming him worthy for granted, so the sun warriors observed that he truly was ashamed and wanted to move forward now with the philosophy in mind, and THATS why they recall him fondly when zuko and aang show up. but yeah

I’m a firm believer in the Tim and Brian having their own cabin in a forest away from the mansion. 

Toby doesn’t just have the jerking tics and stuttering tics, he has certain words, noises, and actions he does. 

Expanding on that I bet Toby also stims when he’s excited.

Jeff was relieved to see Liu alive, and other Creeps are helping them become the brothers they used to be 

Eyeless Jack is the actual appointed doctor for the Creeps because thats what he was gonna be anyway, he ‘finished’ his degree thanks to the massive ass library in the mansion

There’s definitely an art studio, like a big one.  

 There’s a sensory room. 

The kitchen was absolute chaos until Helen showed up(BloodyPainter)

Jane actively avoids Jeff, and has most of his daily routine memorized so she doesn't run into him, most of the Creeps know this and try to keep them separated

All the video game Creeps have an digital home space.

Theres absolutely a movie night and only a certain few Creeps go to it, everyone else locks their doors and hides to keep away from going.

Everyone has to do chores, and let me tell you theres been so many times where someone hasn't done their part around the mansion and has absolutely gotten their ass kicked for it.

Slender doesn't play a huge role in everything like some people might think, I feel like he's his most cannon self in Marble Hornets, so he's just chilling around making sure everything is going smoothly and if it's not he basically just does his migraine static stuff to assert dominance or whatever it is.

People actually don't go to BEN for help when it comes to technical issues mainly because he'd end up goofing everything up again for shits and giggles.

I feel like the second best option would actually be either Brian or Eyeless Jack.

I don't think any of the Creeps would go out of their way to have an overly eccentric room, all of them are either normal or just plain.

Maybe Helen has a cool little nifty room cuz he's painted all over the walls, and Jeff and Toby might have holes in their walls and scratches from knives and hatchets or something, theres definitely bloody spot here and there in some of the Creeps rooms, though

I have so many bedroom headcannons I could definitely do separate headcanons on those.

Sally and Lazari have a suite typa bedroom that's connected with a playroom.

OKAYOKAY, enough bedroom stuff

most Creeps keep to themselves, and a lot of them do so because they don't want to see the reality of their situation.

they're almost all scared of what's happening to them and they do confide in eachother alot and i think thats what keeps them at least a little sane.
