Ran can sometimes teeter between being reverent and Cruel, but more times than not, I believe Ran is often harsh.

Loves to praise his darling and spoil them rotten, but Ran is sadistic, his heart just pounds watching his dalring cry♡

Not cruel like Hanma; Ran is Cruel in the way that he likes when things make you mad or teasing you too far. He tries not to be the reviving end of your wrath for sake of wanting to be on your good side… but it does turn him on a little.

i am an intj and 18, it's my second year in uni and my major is overall promising (engineering with focus on nano, 3d and powder technologies (not going in depth with this one)). after graduating i'll be able to work in various fields, from medicine to metallurgy. anyways, the problem is that the way most my subject are being taught is unbelievably boring (not good for my adhd) plus i missed out on some of them (high math and physics mostly) due to stress and overall depressed mood (war in my country + no friends + really tough family situation abuse etc). now, even though i missed out, i know that lots of people did the same and still graduated and now have high paying jobs, and therefore i can too, but i am really anxious about not understanding some of new material due to lacunas in my knowledge. i plan to catch up on some of it during summer but i am pretty sure that till june all my determination will evaporate, and i will continue resenting my choice of major (originally wanted to choose linguistics but didn't work out). another thing is that i don't want to be doing one thing my whole life, i want to be well versed in multiple unrelated fields (from writing and acting and art to history social studies linguistics and architecture). my question is, how to find that spark/motivation again? how to combine all the things i am interested in so i learn a bit of each and when should i do that, now or later in life? i suppose if i graduate and get a good job i can go back to learning again in free time. i also want to get out of this house as soon as possible, so i need to either really put efforts into successfully graduating or start looking for part time jobs to save up money (i doubt i will be able to do both at once). one idea i had for part time is to start an etsy shop as i have original ideas and means to execute them (but there is a risk of failing which i am perhaps more afraid of than i should be).

For starters, I'd rethink your MBTI type. I'm confident you're not an INTJ and I wouldn't use any INTJ descriptions to guide your thought process. Based on your writing style, I'd look closer at descriptions of INTPs and INFPs.

Next, there's a framework I use to break down problems and solve them. It can be applied to basically everything in life. For your situation, it looks something like this:

Step 1: Define. What are the goals you want to achieve? Do you want to move out? Do you want to graduate college? Do you want to study something that interests you? What are the end goals? What does your ideal life look like in a few years at the point where you can breathe easily?

Step 2: Prioritize. Of the goals you've defined, which are most important? Example: #1 priority is to graduate college, #2 priority is to be financially independent and move out, #3 is to study something that interests you.

Step 3: Plan. For priority #1, what are all the things you need to do to graduate college? Are there faster ways to graduate and get a great paying job? Do research on which classes to take, community college credits, etc. Attach timelines to them.

Step 4: Execute. Do it. Self-explanatory. What did you learn from carrying out your plan? What worked and didn't work? Are there any new and exciting insights you know now that you didn't know before?

Step 5: Measure. Are you happy? Did achieving your goals bring you the life you wanted? If not, go back to step 1 and restart the process. Iterate until you get it right.

Unless your family is rich, I'd argue that college isn't for learning, college is a financial commitment in exchange for skills training, credential gathering, and network building to get a job with a positive return on investment (ROI). If you want to learn-- go to a library. You can learn without college. Go on YouTube, go on Google, go on ChatGPT, etc. and learn for free.

Know your priorities and execute based on the most important ones.

obvi we don't know Jake's birth time and we could rectify his chart (which could be accurate if i actually took the time to do it lol) instead we're gonna say that hypothetically he does have a libra rising (which i can see arguments for outside of simply just his looks—his MBTI. also a libra rising means he'd have been birthed sometime between 2:16 AM and 3:40 AM; I chose 3:14 AM lol)

prefacing this by saying his mars and venus are both in detriment. it just means both planets are a bit weaker than they'd be if they swapped signs, for example. it's not a bad thing,, just something that will take work lol. anyways, let me attempt to explain some things:

lemme talk about mars in the 1H. of course, i'll be using the whole sign house system for this tiny portion.

since he has a libra mars (lmao rip him) I think it just makes his features softer rather than the harsher (often sexy) visuals that come with being scorpio/mars dominant. plus in this case, mars is where it belongs in the 1H—obvi that said person is pretty especially with libra (venus) helping out a bit. i can't get too heavy on my usage of degrees in this reading (common dreamie loss), but again, hypothetically, he'd have a 19° mars (which, now that im looking at a non-rectified chart, it's the same w/o a bt, anyway). 19° is, of course, a libra degree. and that is my very simple, minimal detail explanation that Jake doesn't need his Venus to be in the 1H for those visuals to still shine through!!

ENTJ - All of you (including me) need to chill out. Geniunly, calm down. I know you have an obsession about being superior and / or special, but you are not and you are human like everyone else and you need to calm down, God. Anyway, you're a big 50/50 because you're an amazing person to spend time with but also you're insufferable and it is an odd combination.

TL;DR: You need to chill with the superiority complex and I'm unsure how to feel about you.

ENTP - It is 50/50 with you people in the sense that there is two groups: extremely obnoxious and insufferable OR funny charmers that come for a good time. Reflect which one you are for all of our benefit. If your in the first group I'm sorry but I cannot bare to be around you, and if you're in the second one I love you and I want to marry you. But I know that saying that will boost your ego so to bump it down again I do want to say that you are often times a little too immature.

TL;DR: you're either too immature of very charming and depending on that I either hate or love you.

INTP - You're cool. You're chill. I can vibe with you. You are a bit too easy to frustrate, but it's okay because aren't we all. You suck at picking the right company though. But it's okay because you're a vibe and we can have a proper conversation that's actually pleasant to have and we tend to have a surprising amount of things in common.

TL;DR: I like you because we can vibe out.

ESTP - I'm sorry but you're cringe. You think you're very cool and very unique and swag, but you're not, you're just cringey and you're embarrassing yourself. It is not cool to do something dangerous or disgusting, it really isn't, it makes you look dumb. Also stop randomly dropping your trauma on people that's also weird. Just.. calm down, take a chill pill, take reference to INTP and take a step back. I know your avoiding all your problems and emotions like the plague, but it's getting frustrating for everyone else.

TL;DR: You're cringe and overwhelming.

ESFJ - In the ENTJ manner of I like you and I don't. Mainly don't, though, sorry. You can be a fun chat, but also you seem to be so sure that you are right in the end? And when presented with facts you just go no? Also your sense of community is way too much for me. Like what? How about you learn to be your own person? But also not in the "I'm so random" way, because you seem to have a habit of that as you want to be recognised by the people around you. Trust me, it is not a good tactic. Also don't push the sense of community on others, that gets weird and annoying.

TL;DR: If you push your sense of community on me again I will commit a crime.

ISFJ - I'm sorry but I like you the least. I cannot hang out around you for too long, one of the reasons being I get way too bored. You are not fun to talk to, I can't get a fun conversation out of you, and your jokes are just plain. You try to be your own person, but also you're a people pleasure, and those two things clash and it shows. Also I don't like how sensitively you tend to take everyone else's actions, it does feel like you often blow them out of proportions. Yes, they did something that sucked, but it was not as bad as you make it out to be. Also learn to stand up for yourself a little instead of being passively bitter about something the other person had no way of knowing was wrong / hurtful. That would benefit everyone involved.

I'm quite introverted, tho I'm coming out of my shell more as I get to know people. I can get very stubborn and don't do all too well with criticism. also idk I’ve recently kinda of matured in a way and changed my view on a lot of things kinda having a flow up ngl, and when my birthday roles around ima getting a nose piercing then really wanna dye my hair light pink, and cut it shorter again (bc everyone tell my I fit short hair and I like it better on me too 😩) I’m now more comfortable to wear t shirts and shorts and just cloths I would have never worn before, I’m in awe to say this but I’m actually starting to like and be comfortable in my body. I'm not the last anon but I have a question too, and I hope it's not gonna be one of those annoying questions haha, here we go: Do you think a Fe type (all FJs) can loose their Fe side (whatever this means haha) if they stay isolated for a long period of time? Like, maybe years without any human interaction... Sorry if "Fe" is not something you can loose, I can't say I'm so informed on theoritical side of mbti...

tbh there's no such thing as being informed about any of it, because the "standard" version of the "MBTI theory" is shallow and nonsensical

like I can live with it not being real Science™, but I still need some semblance of sensible premises and systemic reasoning

loosing their Fe side: anyone can change their behavior for whatever reason, but in my vision of things, it wouldn't change their "cognitive personality" (how their mind works unconsciously, which is a different thing from behavior)

I do think that a brain injury could genuinely change the inner workings of someone's mind, but that's another conversation

I'm guessing that you're talking more in terms of outward behavior, whether a person could lose their sociability, agreeableness, etc etc, things that are supposed to be FJ behavior

again in my vision of things, you could start behaving differently because of a traumatizing life experience like extreme social isolation

but that change of behavior would be an adaptation of your set cognitive personality to your environment

your "visible" personality changes, but not the thing that's behind it

Hello! First of all I want to say I love your blog. Your MBTI dynamics posts, your knowledge and takes, the general atmosphere of your blog, this all is fantastic, and I was super happy when I found it. I don’t know if you’re comfortable with people asking you those questions so if it’s not feel free to not reply and I’m sorry I bothered you.

Anyway, I’ve been into MBTI for quite a long time. I know all the types descriptions, I know how cognitive functions work, I know what loops are, I learnt about enneagram thanks to MBTI, I can easily (well, or not easily, it depends) type fictional characters and people around me. But the problem is that I still have no idea who I am. This is not like I want to get to know myself better, I just feel a bit uncomfortable about knowing about MBTI and thinking about it literally every day, whereas still not being able to type the most obvious person to me - myself.

One of the reasons for it, I think, is that I actually know how it works and it’s difficult for me to remain unbiased. For quite a while I used to think I was INFJ but upon learning Ni was the rarest function, the literal thing I said was: “Nah, that’s impossible. I can’t be so unique.” Anyway, learning more information about this function didn’t help much because I still don’t quite understand its meaning with that general descriptions about insights and being able to predict the future or whatever.

Although I have to admit I notice it happening sometimes but I’m pretty sure it applies to just one aspect of my life. I’m a writer, and there were several time when I got ideas for my book out of the air while the basic thinking process (like, I think about something absolutely random and bam! I know what I’m going to include in the next chapter even though just a second ago my mind was blank). I don’t what this thing is, and maybe it actually has nothing to do with introverted intuition but it happens quite often.

I know another characteristic of Ni is being able to read between the lines and finding hidden meanings behind the things. This is something I also do, but again, it mostly applies to writing. I love choosing meaningful names and birth dates for my characters, I love using symbols and foreshadowings and making parallels/connections. Everything in my story is connected, and I really can’t imagine writing in any other way. I want everything to make sense and meaning.

Although I can notice the same happening in my real life. I love analyzing and getting to the bottom of the things because I want to have a deep understanding of them. For this reason I also love psychology. I remember watching one random cartoon with my Mom, and even though it’s clearly meant for children, I began to delve into the main character’s personality, trying to understand why other characters treated him that way. At that point I probably was overanalyzing but it really happened naturally, and my Mom admitted she didn’t think about it from that perspective when she watched it.

When I got into psychology, I started analyzing my life to understand why I’m like this and what I can do with that information to build my future. I can say I’m quite future-oriented and I’m not usually absorbed by my past but I learn from that and connect it with my present, which I’m pretty sure is a Si trait.

And now, I’ll start questioning me being intuitive, because I know this is their thing to have quite an eloquent speech, they’re abstract in their expressions, whereas, well, I’m not. My speech is direct and free from metaphors. I get to symbolism in my writing only.

I know intuitive types tend to be innovative and prefer creating their own ways of completing any tasks and to be fair, I have no idea whether I can relate to it. I usually need instructions to have my tasks done but I feel like it’s mostly because I like order and want to make sure I do everything right, while I don’t want to take anyone’s work as an example and prefer doing it my own way, the way it works easier and more natural to me.

It’s really difficult for me to get who I can be: intuitive or sensory, because I feel like my intuitive part takes over only my creative side, whereas my daily life is more sensory, because I’m goal-oriented and strive to bring all of my goals to life. I don’t want to daydream, I want to take action and be in charge of my life. If I get an idea, I want to fulfill it as soon as possible and at times I might get way too result-oriented, completely forgetting about enjoying the process of work. I usually know where to start and what I’m supposed to achieve but it’s difficult to fill the middle of it.

Maybe my last point sounds like my dominant function is Te but I really doubt it because I’m clearly introverted. As I mention, I like order plus I might get annoyed with disorganized people in charge, thinking I could handle it better yet I’m pretty shy and timid and see no point in being bossy. I’m not a team player and prefer working alone. 

I think Te is my auxiliary function, which makes me lean towards ITJ but I’m not sure again. I can’t say I’m people-oriented but this is important to me to be appreciated and I think too much about how other people picture me. I suppose it might be a Fe trait but I can’t say I’m in touch with people’s feelings. 

Whenever someone shares their feelings with me, I just stare at them and don’t know what to say, usually trying to get the reason why they’re upset instead of encouraging them (or I just hug them because I don’t know what to say). For this reason I prefer messaging because it gives me more time to put my thoughts together and say something encouraging instead of fearing to make them feel worse. 

When it comes to my own emotions, I usually don’t have strong ones. I might get angry but I never make scenes because I see no point in that and I know I’ll regret it later. When anyone makes me upset or even depressed, I tend to hide it to myself because I don’t want to weigh the person who hurt me with my problems. I know it’s weird but I simply don’t want to be a burden and do tend to think that I’m the one who’s responsible for all my downs.

Anyway, it turned out extremely long so I’ll end here. I don’t know if any of this gives you any hints which type I am but if you can type me, I’d really appreciate it! I personally lean towards INTJ, ISTJ, INFJ, and *maybe* INTP but I’m not sure.

you said Te, and introverted, so definitely like ISTJ/INTJ. IXFJs kinda have to be ok with other people's feelings, unless there's a specific reason for not being so.

with the whole Ni vs Si , just cause youre an action taker who actively strives towards your goals doesnt mean your not an intutivite , it j shows the Te side of you which prefers makin your dreams come to life rather than j daydream ocer it . the whole loving anaysing and getting into psycholoyg def gives Ni vibes as well. also learning from ur past is def not just an si trait like it's just a good thing to do yk, don't make the same mistakes twice ofc.

I guess what we're trying to say is that you give off intj vibes. the Te seems quite clear, and as for caring about what others think of you, I think this is compatible still. you phrase this in a way that puts Fi at the root: "this is important to me to be appreciated". Fe and Te are decision making functions, at the end of the day, they just direct you to how you make most your decisions. is it based on the way others may feel, or what just makes sense within a system?

Your love for understanding this and getting to the bottom of them really seems to point to Ni. Si does this too, but in a more factual way, prefering to reach solid stable blocks of knowledge rather than a vaguer understanding.
