You could feel that despite his shame and fear of getting caught he was enjoying this very much.

Unfortunately I didn't finish the translation, for a few reasons... I do have another chapter or two translated, but I never got around to formatting and posting them because, tbh, translation can be pretty fun but page formatting is t e d i o u s

My main issue though is that when I started this, I posted it all on a tumblr sideblog. That meant I had actual engagement from people reading it! It was fun! There would be at least a couple people who would come chat every time I updated and I could see from the notes that people were reading and enjoying it! Most people can't read the comics unless they speak Spanish or French or something so I was translating SPECIFICALLY because I wanted to talk to people about the comics!

Then the porn ban happened. I didn't want to risk my other blogs getting killed, so I had to take down all the pages I'd originally posted there (because holy crow the smut is real). I know nekosammsi has preserved them but I just.... couldn't muster up the enthusiasm to keep going after that. I couldn't find another good host website, and it was no fun posting directly into a google drive because... no engagement and it all just became too much work for one person.

I honestly would love to do translation again because it brought me so much joy back when I was doing it, but between the No Where Good To Host and Page Formatting Is A Chore Not A Fun Hobby I just... haven't :( sorry

Anon ask (i want to discuss about disco Elysium in private but I'm too shy). What do you think of the fascist choices in the game or of people who choose that? I still have to finish my first playthrough but obviously i know Harry can change his political views through the game (if you want it of course), and i swear, I really can't even imagine doing a fascist run even if i want to complete the game 100%, with each choices you will face consequences and it kills me also imagining a disappointed kim. I want to point out also how Harry acts despite his political views, he looks like a stereotype in a certain sense and i love it. Anyway I remember, before i played the game, "some people" (scums, obviously) criticized the game for being left leaning booho (i mean the creators are for what i know) when in reality, yes it seems to guide you through that vision, but it encourages you to choose wisely and how each political party has it flaws (some more than others) with characters that represent some aspects of it (like evarart or joyce) and god i like that so much so much. Ah, apologies, I know I took some time with the answer so I hope you are still interested in in, dear anon, I really love getting questions like these!

I hope my opinion will not be controversial but I see nothing wrong with doing or wanting to do fascist run as some pieces of world building (redarding the Pale for example), some funnt pieces of dialogue (ridiculing Gary for his racist cryptids) and some character lore (Measurehead and oh, fuck, René, oh you can learn so much about René!!) are accessible only in fascist run. Plus the game *is* really making sure you know what you are saying and doing is not okay. As it's probably clear by now I did one fascist run and after every dialogue I had to go buy Nosaphed else I would die from how low my morale was. It is triggering though, yes, I was really taking lots of breaks during that play.

Also yes, being so terrible next to Kim - especially since he was so often trying to offer me a choice to recontextualise some things I said and claim I was only playing along to get information - was heartbreaking. But also it was very interesting to see certain scenes play out differently because of how terrible my relationship was with him, it really makes you appreciate much more how much is Kim willing to open up and be silly with you during more regular run.

Anyways yes, I mean when you refuse to be leftist in the game of course it can seems to you like it must be basically communism propaganda because the game criticise aspects of every single political fraction you can chose though yes, after playing them all I would say social democracy and communism seems to be shown in the best light. (Though I would still argue with some claims of some people ragarding how possible reading of portrayal of communism in Disco Elysium but I don't want to get into new discourse so soon.)

Also regarding pre-amnesia Harry and his beliefs... I think in conversation with Gottlieb there is piece of dialogue that read to me as Harry having some communistic tendencies before Martinaise but don't quote me on that one, I really have to check it again, plus I was currently playing as communist so it might have felt like it only in given context.
