after a couple of minutes, i find another pair to wear and head to school.

once kitty has stopped hugging me, yuri goes to introduce the last person but i cut her off “Q, i know we’re insta friends,”.

he smiles and gives me a quick hug, before we head inside.

kitty comes up beside me, “so you and minho?” i choke on my spit.

“what?” i ask clearing my throat.

“you guys are hiding your relationship” kitty says a little bit too loudly.

“lower your voice” i hiss at her. “how do you know?”

“well for starters, i saw your phone earlier, sorry, it had a picture of you with a guy, and then i see minho with a similar lock screen but this time you can't see the girls face but shes wearing the same thing as you,” she explains.

i groan, remembering when i told minho that matching lock screens were too obvious. before i can say anything else kitty speaks up, “don’t worry i won’t tell anyone”

XO, Kitty Season 2-

yes, i watched this silly, loveable show and now I'm jotting down Things I appreciated:

- Q's gasp when Kitty said she was rooming with Yuri & Juliana just about made me laugh

- repetition of Q staying out of Kitty's meddler drama/plotting but remaining supportive anyway (yay for healthy boundaries)

- Kitty not hiding her bisexuality and basically telling everyone without a push (+ coming out to Yuri immediately at the start of semester)

- Similarly, her utter excitement and cute "oversharing" with Praveena about how she does date girls...uh wants to!!! ... would love to go w/her

- teen queer club with the students

- Kitty's convo w/Q, where he shares the sentiment on grief making you forget someone's flaws and her joyful response that her mom finally feels like a real person

- Kitty's diversion faint on the court (i obv love the TATBILB callback but i love her hyper-awkward spirit as she tries to be a good friend & idk why)

- Dae was kinda funny this season (word vomiting on his situation with Kitty and Yuri; awkwardly knocking the drink out of Eunice's hand; I lol'd when he imitated Min Ho as Jin was meant to be apologizing)

- Dae & Kitty's friendship (I love when exes can be genuine friends and it's mostly not awkward/no will-they-won't they hints

- Dae and Eunice (I LOVE HER TOO)

- the 1 appearance of Dae's little sister

- Dae's "Seven" performance (majorly leaned into the Kpop choreography)

-Min Ho: "He's too busy hanging out with his fAvORiTe Son" I'm using this word choice from a tt: "that delivery was a choice and it was the correct one" it so was!

- Min Ho & Dae (their friendship chemistry was everything this season)

- Min Ho and Kitty had a lot of cute moments; the parallels!

- Their first scene in episode 1 when they talked about the plane rejection

- Kitty living up to her TATB character ready to fight: "I will drop-kick that bitch faster than she can say, Have a blessed day."

Okay, so I’ve seen a lot of hate, but also a lot of love for Kriselle, so I’d like to throw my own opinion into the ring, because I have nowhere else to voice my opinions.

I actually really like Kriselle! But not because of the weird route, but more so in the normal route of Deltarune. Obviously I don’t think they’re gonna get together, not unless Toby goes down the poly route (because I am also a Suselle truther and I will not allow a world where they don’t get together.)

But it’s so obvious that Noelle cares about Kris, and it’s so obvious that Kris cares about Noelle. It’s, like, peak tragic yuri. Childhood friends, driven apart by Dess’ disappearance, learning to love each other again… (gods, I’m such a sap)

But I also like it in the Weird route for an entirely different reason? But also kinda the same reason?

Because Kris so obviously cares about Noelle, so much, but they can’t save her, because the player is using THEIR body to torment her! It’s still tragic yuri, but with an added layer of complications and darkness, and I just really wanna see these little beans be happy Q-Q

Anyways, at the end of the day, I really like Kriselle, and while I’m not expecting to change anyone’s minds about their ship preferences, I just wanna be able to let other people know that they aren’t weird or gross for liking a ship with a lot of complications.

It's really nice because you unlock it after the nailsmith asks you to kill him with the pure nail and you refuse and walk away. He then says he was wandering hallownest without purpose until he found sheo who helped him discover that there was more to life than just one calling. These two are probably the only characters in the game to have a genuinely happy ending

The nailsmith loses his purpose in life after finishing his ultimate masterpiece, his lifelong goal, the pure nail. He requests the protagonist to try the nail on him, but If you refuse, he will find sheo who helps him to find new meaning in life and realise that there is more to life by teaching him different crafts. They can then be seen sculping figurines together, and sheo is also painting the nailsmith.They share a common love for art and crafts and inspire each other. Sheo's story is that he was a nailmaster, but got tired of it, and put down his nail to pick up a paintbrush. I think it's beautiful that he could help the nailsmith realise what he himself did. They both also used to live in solitude without even realising how lonely they were, and I think it's cute tuhat they can do art together now :]

They are two bugs retired from their career and making better lives for themselves and they’re gay about it. Nailsmith believes at first that he has nothing left after creating the perfect nail and asks the knight to strike him down, and if you don’t, he meets Sheo, a retired nailmaster finding a new calling in painting and sculpting. They find a shared love in creating things and Nailsmith finds a new calling in art as well. The achievement you get for uniting them is called “Happy Couple”

Gay bugs gay bugs gay bugs (Cw mention of suicide) They both used to pursue their one passion in life: forging the perfect nail (sword) for the Nailsmith and the art of combat for Sheo. Sheo realized he could just leave that life when he lost his passion for fighting, and he found himself a new purpose in life: art. However, he always seemed very lonely, completely isolated by all other bugs in his hidden house in the middle of a thorn jungle. When The Nailsmith achieved his goal and forged the perfect nail, he lost his purpose in life and his will to live. He asks the player to kill him. However, if the player refuses, he can later be found in Sheo's house, modelling for Sheo or sculpting figurines with him. He thanks the player for not fulfilling his request, because he has found a new calling in life here, making art together with Sheo. They both express how happy they are to no longer be alone. This also gives you the "Happy Couple" achievement, confirming that they are a couple.

THEY'RE CANON!!! They're fucking canon!!! You can talk to them at one point after doing a Bunch of Stuff to get them to meet each other and you get an achievement called "Happy Couple"!!! Gotta love old man yuri

theyre kind of the ogs. q fucked that old man for SURE. if they arent old enough for you in the next generation (1987-1984) they probably will be in picard (2020-2023). also when i went looking for the pic i included i googled “star trek picard q in bed” and there were actually multiple different instances of that happening that popped up

um it’s unclear what age Q is supposed to be in TNG but in Picard they’re both undeniably old as balls. Q has godlike powers that he just uses to hang out with this bald old man in increasingly strange and annoying ways. And call him “mon capitane” like a freak and materialize next to him in bed and say Good Morning Darling and lounge all over the Enterprise like a fruit anyways I think they’re abnormal and I like them

watched XO Kitty S2. IMO the first season storyline was more like it’s spiritual predecessor To all the boys I have loved before series, this one felt more…2014 Wattpad-ish cuz how messy yet entertaining it was. but I think few tweaks in storyline could have made things better.

Not making Yuri cheat. One of the key things which drew Kitty to Yuri was how strong of a moral character she had. Making her cheat was OOC, and pointless since she was going to turn down kitty anyways. The writers could have actually just have made Yuri find out the letter Kitty penned for her, and reject her in the first 1-2 episodes. For rest of the season they could have focused a bit more on her family dynamics as well as her dealing with sadness of distancing from friend like Kitty, before finally going back to being friends with her.

Having Juliana-Yuri break up. They are a queer couple with a very heartwarming love story. They could have simply given them other couple issues for breakup which they could angst over but cheating was not it.

Phasing out Praveena. Our queer desi girl was just eliminated after Ep 4. Writers could have introduced her after having Yuri reject Kitty. They could have actually spent couple of episodes focusing on the Kitty and Praveena attempting to date only to realise they are cooler as friends. And she should have definitely joined the friend group cuz she was cool enough to be main cast.

Given Q a better partner. Florian was fun watch, even if tacky. This new guy was kinda like white bread…their rivalry ended too quickly, making enemies to lovers trope look stale. Honestly it felt like they were trying to recreate Adam and Eric from sex education, but failed cuz it was not even half as entertaining as those two were.

Have kitty realise she is just like Lara Jean in terms of catching feelings. LJ in 1st movie said she felt intensely in love, Kitty could be similar. That would have made her disinterest in Praveena more logical; she simply wasn’t not feeling intensely enough, the way Yuri and Minho made her feel, making kitty a bi Demi sexual, she is only attracted to people of all genders that she has bonded with deeply….

quick write-up on Q by Diao Ye Zong after a full listen of the album + the bonus content

(spoilers: it's really good. buy it)

I've skipped some of DYZ's releases in the last few years like Shirushi/Mukui/Atsume out of lack of interest, so it's very possible that I missed a hidden gem, but anyway I think Q is their best recent work. It's as good as Hohuri or △ imo (and Hohuri is like. my favorite DYZ and favorite doujin music album overall so.)

Agatha ChrisQ suddenly and completely disappears, shrouded in as much mystery as when she started releasing novels. The narrator sets out in search of the truth through 6 of ChrisQ's unpublished murder mysteries, each a reflection of their writer's feelings.

Q is a seed // Q is an outcome - Waiting to germinate into fantasy // Imposing the results of your ego on all.

It is, of course, a must-listen (or must-experience, rather, since it's not limited to music) for any Akyuu fan, but I'd also recommend it to fans of DiPP, Umineko specifically but mystery novels in general, and interactive fiction (there's branching endings). Oh and yuri. Akyuu/Kosuzu has been a fairly recurring pair in DYZ works (I can think of at least 5 songs off the top of my head, that's recurring to me lol) and this is no exception.

The album is gorgeous, jewel case and booklet and everything, all B&W with beautiful arabesques and elegant lettering and the occasional lines written in red. Hanadahyou's art is even more gorgeous than usual in the lyrics booklet (and if you've ever looked at a DYZ album you know the booklet is part of the experience)!! I love the small detail of the page with Akyuu's portrait, not the one with ChrisQ's, touching the page with the picture of Kosuzu and Akyuu as children...

The tracks are very good, pleasant to listen to from beginning to end (in my case there's just one I have a problem with because of the singer's voice... T_T lol). If I had to pick just one it'd be the Kosuzu song, Imaginary Friend (spoilers in the translator's notes), obviously everything in it makes me want to cry and scream and bash my head into a wall but ESPECIALLY the line where 'it was love at first sight' and 'I set upon you all my fantasies' are both said at the same time in the most beautiful wordplay I've seen in a while.. I also really like the Hieda servants' song (Murasaki Hotaru's voice <3) and the Reimu song is super fun (there is no way Reimu holding a knife next to Marisa's body in the booklet art isn't a nod to the reimari songs from Hohuri - and with the Birlstone Gambit theory referenced in the song itself, well...). But even then all the other tracks are interesting too. Very solid album.

And then there's the secret bonus content. I will only say that I love both choices very much but Imaginary Friend -> My Beloved Q did permanent damage to my heart <3 <3 <3 (suffering

ANYWAY, if any of this sounded intriguing to you then Q is absolutely worth the money! So go support the artists!! The regular version without the secret content will probably end up for free on spotify at some point (edit: it is now, including the last two secret tracks), but in my humble opinion it's one of those DYZ albums that are 1000% better if experienced with a real hardcopy of the CD because of how high-quality the product is, the gorgeous art, the bonus content etc... Personally I am never getting rid of my copy it's just SO beautiful.

While watching Season 2 of XO Kitty, I was talking to my mom about how forgiving queer men are.

I was halfway through Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo, and I couldn't reconcile with the idea of them ever being together.

Later, I would learn that a difference of values wasn't what kept Do Hoe and Ju Yeong apart, but pride, so I softened to the idea of their reconciliation. But as we were talking about it, Q was being romanced by his track rival, Jin, who used to bully Q's friends and say homophobic things as a form of flirtation.

Meanwhile, Kitty had decided to move on from Yuri because she was being selfish in wanting to focus on getting back with her gf, and scolded her for not being self-aware. That's it. That's all it took for Kitty's feelings for Yuri to fade away.

My mom said: "Men resolve problems very easily. They don't dwell. Women are sentimental. They hold grudges."

I don't agree -- not fully. Incels are an entire sect of men fueled by grudges. But it did make me wonder if queer men were more forgiving because they have a scarcity mindset. Like...maybe they are aware they don't have a lot of options within a 5 mile radius, and so they forgive so as not to have to keep searching for love.

I'm happy for the couple in LFTCOT, but I do wish these types of characters were punished and held accountable a little more. Queer people deserve to have their worth validated and not be seen settling for disrespect so often.

Anyway, this has been a random rant written with sore eyes from a night of crying because of a kbl. Yet again.

A: I'm currently influenced by a wide variety of manga, so it would be a lot to list them all...lol Recently, I've become obsessed with "Ghost & Lady" by Fujita Kazuhiro-sensei. Of course. It's a great work, so I recommend everyone to check it out!!!

Q: What brush do you use for lineart? And do you use ipad? What series? Thank you!

A: I make manga on CLIP STUDIO PAINT and iPad! I draw most of the main lines with the Jiwa pen. It feels good to draw with...

Q: I have the impression that Mizuho-sensei has a lot of overseas fans, but where are they reading Mahorai? Is Sho-Comi sold overseas as well?

A: The North American version is distributed by "VIZ Manga"!! It's not a magazine, but a translation of the work is released at the same time as the Japanese version 😃 (I wonder if this is correct?) Anyway, I'm grateful that my work can be read overseas... 😭 I'll work harder on the original work too...!!

I don't know, man. I've watched XO, Kitty like 12 times and I love it (first of all/obviously) but also I think they did Dae so dirty in season 1. Part of me hopes that him and Kitty wind up together anyway even though I know it's probably the least likely pairing out of any of them. The prospect of Min Ho and Kitty makes me giddy too though and I love the romantic drama going on with all the ships tbh but part of me wants Kitty to be right: She felt it for Lara Jean & Peter, felt it for her dad and Tri, and that she also feels it for her and Dae. I want that to be right. And also poor Dae, like, I get he made a mistake because he went along with it but he was too nice and he was kind of backed into the corner at the beginning of the semester.. but it wasn't like he didn't try to do something to fix it multiple times. He tried to tell her the truth like five times in the first three episodes. He didn't intend to go past one night let alone half a semester and he felt guilty about it the whole time.

I just kinda think it's bullshit that Kitty fell out of love with Dae for him doing the same thing Yuri did just because Yuri was nice one time (when Kitty was drunk) and then the next day she was immediately not nice again but it got brushed under the rug due to historical drama and rose-colored glasses. Kitty falling in love with her makes no sense to me. And yes I understand the nuance that she trusted Dae and she didn't trust Yuri, so the cuts aren't the same depth- but I don't think there is a reason after this whole experience that she should trust Yuri at all or vie for her affection to an extent that it would affect an established relationship. Not that Kitty and Yuri aren't cute- I'm just saying.

I'm really excited to see what happens with the new characters this upcoming season. What kind of drama will develop?? We get a new roommate (who seems decent)! A new love interest for Kitty, a new love interest for Q, Min Ho and Kitty get asked if they're a couple- which is a great trope! I wonder if Kitty's presence is causing stress on Juliana, which may be putting stress on her's and Yuri's relationship. So I wonder if Yuri is playing into it in some way or she's just as oblivious as she's been through the entire first season. Maybe in season 2 Kitty will actually confess to Yuri?

January 16th can't come soon enough! I need to take the days off of work so I can binge it lol

Kitty hadn’t talked to Yuri in three months. The last time she had even heard from her was at the airport—the day Kitty left Seoul and Juliana returned. Yuri hadn’t even updated her Instagram since. Kitty supposed she had been too busy reconnecting with Juliana to bother with it.

They didn’t talk even when Yuri’s mom went back on her decision and allowed Kitty to go back to KISS. Kitty was pretty sure Yuri wouldn’t want to hear from her anyway, and the idea of getting that impression confirmed was enough to keep her away.

She had assumed they’d keep their distance when the new semester started. That was what Kitty had prepared herself for during the endless hours of her flight to Seoul and her move into a new room.

Kitty wasn’t even sure why she had agreed to go back. What did she even have in KISS that was worth all this trouble?

She might have managed to get closure on her relationship with Dae, but they were hardly friends. Her friendship with Q was still fragile as they tiptoed around each other. And things with Min Ho had been awkward since she let him down after his confession.

Yuri wasn’t talking to her. She had a girlfriend, a new brother, and endless family drama to deal with that she did not need Kitty contributing to.

Still, Kitty had come, and she hadn’t done it for anyone but herself this time around.

Which led to her getting ready for her first day back all alone in her new dorm. Her new roommate, Claire, had friends to meet with before class—people she could get opinions from, people she could talk to.

Kitty only had herself and her own reflection in the mirror.

And the stupid necklace clasp she couldn’t get closed on her own.

“Do you need help with that?”

Kitty’s concentration shattered, and she expected to find Claire walking back into their room. Instead, Yuri crossed her doorway.

Yuri’s hair was undone, falling down her shoulders with every step she took—it was longer than when they had last seen each other.

Kitty stared at her with unblinking eyes through the mirror’s reflection. She was sure she had started hallucinating up until Yuri’s fingers brushed hers when she collected the necklace.

Just like she had done the year before, Yuri brushed Kitty’s hair to the side with one hand before expertly closing the clasp on her first try.

“There you go,” Yuri announced, gently bringing Kitty’s hair back into place.

Kitty turned around to take a good look at her face. Her sheer proximity was enough to send her head spinning.

“Yuri,” she said dumbly, her eyes traveling through Yuri’s face, searching for any signs her dreams had escaped the nighttime and infiltrated her days too.

She found none. Yuri was exactly as Kitty remembered her—she was even better, because she was really there.

“Hi, Kitty,” she greeted, taking a step back.

Kitty cleared her throat and tried to smile. “Hi.”

Three months of imagined conversations and almost-sent texts… And the best she could come up with was Yuri’s own name and “Hi”?

She briefly wondered if it was too late to book a ticket home and never step foot in Seoul again.

“Can we talk?” Yuri asked. “I know we have class soon, but do you have a minute?”

“Yeah, sure,” Kitty mumbled, her voice rising a bit too much. She tried again. “We can talk.”

“I’m really glad you agreed to come back,” Yuri started.

“You are?” Kitty couldn’t help but ask, more confused than anything.

Yuri laughed—a startled, half-muffed sound she only ever made when she thought Kitty was making a fool of herself.

God, she had missed that laugh.

“Of course I am,” she confirmed. “I know we weren’t on good terms when you left, and we haven’t talked in a while, but I would have missed you if you didn’t come back.”

Kitty’s eyes widened. “You would?”

Yuri stifled a laugh. “Kitty, are you going to question everything I say, or do you think you can just take my word for it?”

“Sorry,” she hurried to say. “I just didn’t think you felt that way after… Well, everything.”

“I understand. For a while, I didn’t really know how I felt about anything either.”

Kitty found there was something very strange about Yuri’s tone, like there was more she wanted to say but was holding back against.

The tension between them hadn’t gone anywhere in the last few months.

It was like time and distance had amplified it—shaped it into a ticking bomb that could go off at any second and destroy this carefully built truce they were now in.

Kitty was nowhere near ready to approach that topic, so she settled for a safer version of her truth. “I’m really sorry for lying to you. I didn’t know what to do or how to deal with what I found out, but I should have been honest.”

“I’m sorry I lashed out, too. I was hurt, but that was because I trusted you a lot. I felt like…”

“Like I broke your trust,” Kitty completed, crossing her arms.

“I guess so,” Yuri agreed. “But, more than anything, I was angry at my mom for hiding another kid from me. My whole life, she pushed me to be perfect, to not do anything that could disappoint her. And the whole time she was keeping her own secrets, making me feel awful for having mine. I took some of that out on you too.”

Kitty nodded and tightened her arms around herself. They fell into silence for a few moments. Kitty didn’t dare break it, unsure of where they would go from there.

Why was Yuri there? Had she gone to Kity’s room to say she forgave her, but it was better for them to stay away from each other? Or that they could be friends again, leaving everything in the past?

Kitty didn’t think she could survive either option.

“Uh… I should get going,” Yuri said abruptly, fixing her perfectly ironed skirt and retreating a bit farther away.

“Oh,” Kitty muttered, “okay.”

She didn’t want Yuri to go. She wanted to hear about her vacation and the places she might have visited. She’d plaster a smile across her face and pretend it didn’t kill her to hear about how great things were with Juliana if it would make Yuri happy to talk about her.

She wanted everything to be normal again.

“See you in class, then,” was all Kitty said.

Yuri turned around to leave…

Should Kitty tell her she could recognize Yuri’s laugh in any room? That she would follow her like a moth to a flame wherever she wanted to go? Or share that, in her dreams, Yuri’s lips touched hers and everything felt real for a few precious seconds after she woke up, and not even the disappointment of reality could take away from the happiness she felt in those fleeting moments?

Yuri turned around when Kitty still didn’t answer her question. “It’s just… When we talked at the airport, I thought there was something you wanted to tell me before Juliana showed up. I mean, whatever it is, you know you can tell me, right?”

She smiled—a reassuring, gentle thing that Kitty wasn’t sure she even deserved.

“I know that,” she answered, trying to insert some confidence into the words. Kitty carefully avoided Yuri’s eyes. “I just wanted to thank you for being my friend. We got off to a bad start, but I’m glad we worked through that. I wouldn’t have survived my first year here without you.”

Yuri smiled even brighter at that. “I wouldn’t have made it through last year without you either.”

Kitty blatantly ignored the somersaults in her stomach and mirrored Yuri’s smile. “That was all I wanted to say.”

“Are you sure?” Yuri asked once again, tilting her head to capture Kitty’s gaze.

“I am,” she repeated, without an ounce of conviction.

Yuri nodded but didn’t seem to believe her. Kitty tracked her every movement as she stepped closer, the ends of her loose hair tickling Kitty’s arm.

“Let me tell you what I remember about that day, then. I remember you telling me you thought you knew everything there was to know about love when you came to KISS,” she recited, “until you met me.”

Kitty swallowed dryly. That was not the conversation she had prepared herself to have. A part of her—however foolish—believed they could brush past her near confession and pretend nothing had changed.

But this was Yuri—brilliant, sharp, gentle Yuri who knew her. Of course, she had noticed something was off. She wanted Kitty to have the guts to tell her the truth, especially when they had so much trouble for the lack of it in the first place.

“Yuri,” Kitty started, but the other girl shook her head.

“I remember it because I couldn’t stop thinking about what you said,” Yuri continued, “and you need to let me tell you this before I lose my courage.”

Kitty stopped trying to talk. In fact, she couldn’t have said a word if she wanted to. Not when Yuri was looking at her like that, as if she were seeing something precious in the lines of her face.

“I asked my mom to let you come back. I pissed Juliana off with my obsession to make you stay here.”

“You… You asked her? For me?” Kitty repeated Yuri’s words, despite the fact she had been told not to already.

She had thought for a moment—back when the principal called her with the news—that maybe Yuri had been behind it, but ultimately assumed it was all wishful thinking.

But if Yuri had done that, if she had helped Kitty, then why hadn’t she called or texted? God, Kitty would have been happy with an Instagram DM, even.

“I did. I told you this before, Kitty,” Yuri continued. “I can’t lose you now.”

“I can’t lose you either,” Kitty repeated herself, because that had never changed, not through the confused feelings she harbored for Yuri during her relationship with Dae or after it ended and her loneliness took over.

“But I need you to be honest with me right now. I need you to tell me what you wanted to say that day, and I need to know if I’m too late to hear it.”

Yuri’s hands twisted nervously on the hem of her shirt, causing the fabric to wrinkle all over.

Kitty didn’t want to hold on to hope that proved itself false later on, but her mind was racing through Yuri’s words, her heart wild and alive against her ribcages.

“I don’t… I don’t think I should. I don’t think we should be talking about this, not when you’re with Juliana,” Kitty said, because, as stupidly in love as she was, she would not do that. She would not let others get hurt by the consequences of her own actions, not again.

Yuri took Kitty’s hand on hers, and all words flew off her mind. “I’m not with Juliana anymore,” she said, her voice firm. “We broke up about two months ago.”

Kitty blinked, then stared from Yuri’s hand around her own and back to her face. “What? Why?”

Yuri laughed again—that godforsaken laugh that could break through any of Kitty’s defenses. “Can’t you see it, Kitty?”

She shook her head, incapable of speaking.

“I was confused and a bit of a mess. We tried to make it work, but… My heart wasn’t in it anymore,” Yuri told her, fingers trembling as they grabbed onto Kitty. “Juliana could tell too. I was happy she was back home and that her parents weren’t forcing her to live in another country, but the whole time we spent together since she came back, I kept missing you.”

Kitty heard her own breath catch. She felt her knees buckling and expectation simmering underneath her skin where Yuri was touching her. She knew she wasn’t imagining things—not anymore—and yet none of it seemed real.

“I felt awful, and I knew I couldn’t do that to her. She deserved better, and I couldn’t give it to her. I guess she also knew, deep down, that what we felt for each other wasn’t the same anymore. Still, I just needed some time to process that. I… I wanted to tell you about all of this and what I was feeling, but it wouldn’t have been fair. I needed to be sure of what was happening first. That’s why I didn’t reach out to you.”

“I thought you didn’t want to talk to me,” Kitty whispered, and Yuri shook her head immediately.

“I always want to talk to you,” she promised. “I came here today because of that. I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to do, even when I walked in. I got so scared of ending our friendship that I almost left without saying what I wanted to say.”

“Then I felt this fear right here when I was walking away.” Yuri brought their joined heads to her chest, pressing them over her heart.

“I just knew that giving up on you without even trying would be a lot worse than having to hear you say I’m too late.”

Kitty’s mouth opened and closed a few times, and still no words came.

“I’ll understand, though, if you’ve changed your mind. If you don’t feel like that anymore…”

Yuri’s voice was laced with pain, but she still tried to reassure her. It was the type of kindness she offered Kitty the day they met, and Yuri gave her a ride. It was the gentleness she kept hidden behind her sharp tongue and quick thinking.

It was all that made Kitty fall for her wrapped up around a few words, and how could she have changed her mind? In what world could she ever not feel this way about Yuri Han?

Yuri seemed to have come up with her own answers in the time it took Kitty to process what she shared. She loosened her hold of Kitty’s hand and slowly began to pull herself away.

Kitty held on.

Yuri’s eyes snapped to hers, and Kitty saw the tears on them—all the fear and joy and hope Kitty was feeling reflected right back at her.

Kitty kissed Yuri Han, and it was nothing like in her dreams.

Yuri’s mouth was warm and soft against her, and her hands pushed into her hips hard enough to send her scrambling backwards into a wall. Kitty felt every second of it—every twist of Yuri’s tongue against her own, every part of her body pressed into her—and the real thing was more exhilarating than her imagination could ever have conjured up.

“You’re so much better in real life,” Kitty said into Yuri’s mouth, and she chuckled.

“What?” Yuri questioned, and Kitty, for a moment, had forgotten they were not the same person, that their bodies were tangled up in one another, but their minds were still their own.

Of course, Yuri didn’t understand what she meant, but she didn’t need to. Kitty could tell her later—would tell her everything and anything she wanted to know.

For now, though, Kitty swallowed the question with her mouth on Yuri’s, her hands on her hair, and her nose pressed into Yuri’s perfect one.

XO Kitty Watch Notes: S1 Ep. 9 & 10

So. I liked this WAY more than I thought I would. Maybe it’s my lack of exposure to cute rom-com dramas exposing itself. Idk the script could def have been better, and the acting wasn’t always the strongest, but it wasn’t bad either. Kind of have enough thoughts for a full coherent analysis post, but I’m also thinking I wanna wait till I’ve watched season 2 and then do the whole show together. Honestly doing this has reminded me how much I love talking about media and it’s made me wanna start a reaction yt channel. (but I won’t bc I don’t rly have the time or the camera or the editing skills and no one would watch it anyways lol).

But yeah overall pleasantly surprised by this show and excited to watch season two!

Ep 9:

- Interesting emphasis on “reason, season, and a lifetime” is the show gonna follow that formula for Kitty w/ Dae, Minho, and Yuri? No clue who would be what yet. Unfortunately keep getting the feeling her and Dae aren’t endgame though. That’d be too drama fee. And as unfortunate as it is (and as much as I hate it being applied to real life) in shows like this the sweet, first love, “nice guy” is never the one that makes the final cut 😭

- Ok yeah these cuties are way too happy to last. But it’s okay, Kitty can send him my way bc that back hug with the coffee mugs?!?!

did some thinking on an official stance on western works and here's what we came up with:

western fiction IS ALLOWED if the creator/official publisher describes it using the word yuri or GL/girls' love. genre words like lesbian, sapphic, wlw, queer, gay, bisexual, LGBT(Q+), and so on aren't enough to qualify something unless they're also officially described as YURI or GL.

example of a real submission that's INELIGIBLE: blue is the warmest colour — as far as we know, the author doesn't use these terms to describe the work. (if this isn't the case and there are instances of it being marketed as such, let us know and we'll re-evaluate its eligibility!)

example of a real submission that is ELIGIBLE: serious weakness but with girls — the author describes this story as yuri right on the page you read it on.

nevermore (webtoon) might be a grandmothered (grandfathered but with women) case since it ran in the tournament before this was set in stone, and while it's often described as GL by fans, we've only seen it officially described as sapphic.

note that this is for western fiction; our standards are more flexible for japanese, chinese, or korean works. will consider on a case by case basis for elsewhere in the world, but so far it hasn't come up!

Jaiden hated when she had bloody hands. It was the horror of facing the reality of the lives she had taken. But. Some strange part of her, deep inside of her, had to admit that she didn't mind the blood when it was on Baghera's hands. When those bloody hands held her bloody hands after a battle as they danced under the red sky. Those hands were so capable of murder yet held her so gently. And so often.

Baghera slipped their hands together every day before a battle, interlocking their fingers and finding excuses to rub her thumb over Jaiden's skin. Jaiden had to admit it was relaxing, comforting.

She found herself seeking Baghera out first to take that cold hand in her own and bask in the wave of comfort that overwhelmed her body. She had never felt as safe as she did in Baghera's arms. Even on the battlefield when she was pulled against those blood stained arms and she saw the red splashed against the other woman’s face, she felt safe.

“Baghera,” she said softly one day as they sat around the fire, Baghera's hand in her own.

“Yes, Jaiden?”

She met those piercing eyes. “I trust you more than anyone else in the world.”

Baghera squeezed her hand in acknowledgement and smiled. “Thank you chérie. Your trust means the world.”

Okay but in all seriousness bro I adore him more then y'all could know. Well uh ppl who follow this hmmm mysterious anon who I definitely don't know now know what the degree of Clive brain rot I have (can't mention it here but if you know you know). But like

I knew Clive would get me as soon as I found out who he was. So for context, Luke is the reason I started playing the PL series. Anyone who knows me personally would know how me bait Luke is, I am VERY predictable. So when I learned there was this guy who had the grand plan of pretending to be Luke from the future to infiltrate Layton's life I was like oooo boy (also yes I unfortunately didn't get to go into UF blind) . What rlly marked my Clive journey's real start was definitely learning his name. Clive Dove. I got the spoiler of bruvs name from when my dear mutual reblogged q picture of him with the Clive Dove tag on it and I was like "bro... HIS NAME IS CLIVE?!?!?!?". Then the devolvation into madness really started. Uh insert discord screenshots

When it comes to head cannons though I will definitely say we all know Clive is trans fr. When it comes to my specific trans HCs for them I really enjoy transfem Clive (its a comfort hc 4 me) but when I'm doing stuff like officially like my official HCs that I stick closer too transmasc Clive. Why? Layton parallels. My whole life is fighting to make as many parallels between the two as I can mate it's a problem. It's just too interesting to me.

Other HC wise uhhh CLIVE HAS FRECKLES FIGHT ME I love planting subtle inconsistencies between him and Luke sm.

When it comes to drawing Clive I will definitely say I do enjoy drawing him more than Luke namely due to him having a tie😱😱.

My biggest struggle in drawing him prolly uhhh the freckles I curse myself with along with just his color palette ig. I can never decide how dark I want his hair to be. But tbf I do just have inconsistent coloring in my art sooo what can you do.

Other stuff to talk about with this awful man.... OH RIGHT! I'm STILL not over him being British Yuri Lowenthal like bro💀. It's so bad randall is also British Yuri Lowenthal like stawppp💀. Anyone who knows about me and my interests knows that I have a trying relationship with Yuri Lowenthal. Clive atp is prolly my fav Yuri Lowenthal character but I don't think he can take up the og for my fave yuri lowenthal voice performance (I LOVE YOSUKE!!!!)

If I'd have to pick like my favorite Clive thing... Probably still Sallufix's 'This Hurts' animation holy shit that thing is so good. The fact that tumblr user sallufix is my mutual still baffles me I am so in love with and enchanted by their work like hold shit they are like... The Clive drawer of all time to me. Also uh he made Envicto and I am obsessed with that man to no end no one even knows.
