saying this from a place of genuine confusion and not judgment, but why do people make content just to announce that they don’t like something anymore?
for example: as a fan of kpop i’ve stumbled upon many a video where it’s just called something like “why i stopped stanning ____” or like “groups i don’t stan anymore” or something along those lines
and then either today i saw this video on instagram of someone like removing decorations related to & packing up all of their heartstopper stuff and all i can think is why do you need other people to know this?
it just don’t really make sense to me, like the only reason i can think of is that you might want to complain about whatever media it is that you no longer like and are using this to connect with other people who feel the same, but the person on instagram was kinda just like “oh it’s just not my style anymore, maybe when the next season comes out it’ll reignite my interest, but for now i’m moving on.” so that disqualifies from the only reason i can imagine
the more I read about contemporary homophobic laws globally the more it becomes apparent that there is basically a 1:1 direct relationship between whether a country was under historic British rule and how many anti-sodomy laws they currently have on the books. like I knew this in a general sense but not the staggering degree to which this was the case. and I know this probably isn’t really shocking especially given how insanely anti-trans the UK is right now but it’s kind of insane to see just how much homophobia is a comprehensively global export of the British
I was going skimming through VLR again to screenshot some scenes I wanted to talk about, but while I was doing that I suddenly remembered how bullshit the 9BP game overs were. Y'know, the endings where Sigma has enough points to leave but immediately gets jumped by everybody and prevented to leave? Yeah, those ones. I'm not surprised that they pounced on Sigma, he did betray their trust for his own gain so that feeling of betrayal leading to that reaction is all fine and understandable except why the hell don't other characters get this same treatment?? I swear, everyone else excluding Luna has screwed the group over at some point some where some timeline, but they all get off scott free. Especially Dio, and personally that is just an actual affront to justice and my sanity, I freaking swear. When Sigma, the nicest (albeit most perverted) guy in the cast attempts to escape, all love for the man is lost and he gets stomped on, his arm chopped off and abandoned and left to die in a heartbeat, just no hesitation, but when goddamn betray-happy cultish asshatish douchebag Dio screws everyone and attempts to escape, all of a sudden the characters forget that-- oh I don't know-- tackling that twink is a totally valid option but instead they just go "alas, there is no point anymore he's already won" so this man just gets to walk out that door all proud of himself like what the fuck?? How is that fair in any way??? What the hell are they all smoking to be fine with that????
figuring out I'm agender was such a revelation because there was just no more confusion anymore. no more wondering why I related more to the male characters, why I always felt as equally comfortable in "guys" and "girls" clothes, why I never really understood the whole binary in itself. I always existed outside of it, always thought the whole thing was overrated and dumb.
now, it's just so freeing because I see myself in the mirror, and I'm the man I wanted to be. I'm the woman I wanted to be. I'm both. I'm neither!
Sorry its late and I'm just really euphoric right now because so many moments of my past finally make so much sense, and I wish I could go back and give that kid some reassurance that they weren't wrong for any of it.
I'm ace, I'm aro, I'm agender, and I'm ecstatic because I finally feel like I'm meeting the real me.
Okay so context- lately I've gotten SUPER into @partycoffin 's "Welcome Home" and i've been neurodivergent hyperfixation over it. So obviously I had a dream recently about it! Big cool!!!! Especially since I was chilling with em. love to see it~ yippy! :)c But also this dream entailed Barnaby attempting to do stand up while Frank is just, being Frank and over explaining stuff. But suddenly Wally is just. COMPLETELY outta character essentially telling Frank to shut up. Which knocked the wind outta my sails immediately! Wally would never! I know this we all know this yet that is exactly the reason as to why its so funny! The art doesnt at all do the moment justice i fear :(
so wild that if you wanted, you could just....write like a whole multi-book series about whatever the fuck you want. it can be as self-serving or as plot heavy or as WHATEVER as you want it to be. and then you can re-read it over and over. like you can just do this. it's legal. what the fuck.
ngl, "don't normalize x" discourse is going a little too far sometimes. like, i'm not sure some of those things CAN be normalized. what'll happen if we "normalize selfcest"? will people start hooking up with their clones? opening portals to another dimension to fuck their au!selves? i just don't think we're capable of normalizing this. on a practical level.
was thinking about the 'sex is rock climbing' post op last night like do they know the effect they have had on my life. do they know what kind of identity crisis they helped me bypass entirely by kick-starting my reconsideration of the way i thought about sex as a concept. butterfly effect etc.
TP!Link is so complex to me, he is a puppet in very sense of the word imo
Link was always a question, at least to me, of a victim of circumstances vs a fated savior. TP!Link is the perfect example of both interwoven into a very interesting narrative that touches on themes like the sins of the father, legacy, and the consequences of colonialism
I think making TP!Link emo miss the mark, but he is a very very interesting guy to deconstruct w/ the quote from Majoras Mask "Your true face...What kind of face is it? I wonder...The face under the mask...Is that your true face?" after all, unlike most Links...he didnt chose to don the Hero's Tunic it was literally thrust upon him. theres a lot to be said about that i think
To my knowledge, fraternities and sororities are groups that form at collages that live together and do various activities together. They also may throw parties, witch the members of said fraternity or sorority and other collage students attend.
One may wish to join a fraternity or sorority to find a community to engage in things with and socialize with.
that sounds awful. for me, personally. probably because of the christianity, as I'm pretty sure most soririties/fraternities are specifically christian communities and christianity holds zero appeal to me. kudos to people in sororities I simply did not register until recently that those were like...actual legit things people joined and/or wanted to join.
obviously I knew they were real, but they were real the way like...business majors are real. like you mean to tell me people actually study business. they go to business class to learn how to business. it sounds fake
i will simply continue being eccentric and charming in class until people ask me for my contact info, it's worked excellently so far
