my worst quality is that in 4th grade I was really extremely super into Warrior Cats, as in i was one of those kids roleplaying warrior cats on the playground during recess. and i thought it would be really funny to train myself to hiss at people as a startle reflect. unfortunately i did that to myself during some core developmental years and now it's locked into my brain as an actual startle reflex and now, over a decade later, i still hiss at people when being startled. this stays between you, me, my 4k followers, and the internet at large. nobody is allowed to tell my 4th grade best friend that i did this to myself or she'll make fun of me

I hope you guys know that when I say I love Clive (which I should say more often, what the Hell. I love Clive 💙🕊️), I don’t mean it in a “He’s so silly and pathetic” way, nor do I mean it in a “I love torturing him” way. These are perfectly valid ways to feel about him and I’m sure both are very fun! But that is simply not me.

When I say I love Clive, I mean I love Clive. I am deeply, genuinely, irrevocably in love with this character! I think he’s smart. I think he’s handsome. I think he’s the best antagonist in the entire franchise, Hershel’s true intellectual equal, arguably the only adversary who eventually outsmarted him (because that fortress did detonate despite our hero’s best efforts). I stand by every fic who ever characterised him as a smug sexy bastard (starting with mine)! I stand by every fluffy fanart and found family fanfic ever written (starting with mine)! I stand by 13-year-old Nina, who basically learnt to write, draw and edit for him!

Why am I saying this? Because we need to bring back the concept of unapologetically liking things without feeling the need to add a “but” afterwards. “I like Edelgard but I don’t condone her actions —” fandom purity culture is getting to you. “I like The Great Gatsby, I hope you guys don’t think I’m a pretentious bitch —” why does that even matter. “I like Miraculous Ladybug, even if the writing is objectively terrible —” what the fuck are you even on about. “I like N, I know it’s cringe, I know that makes me basic —” KILL THE HIGH SCHOOL BULLY IN YOUR HEAD. LEARN TO HAVE UNRESTRAINED SUMMER FUN ALL YEAR LONG. As a wise man once said, #YOLO

Opinions on MD: Intermission? I know a lot of people look at it as what V’s character was kinda missing in the canon, and I’m curious your thoughts on that seeing as how you characterize her in your fics - I’ve been reading Full Company and I’m loving how you’re highlighting that EVERYONE kinda has their own issues, not just J.

I know a lot of people have pointed it out but seriously, it’s so nice to have real character depth and imperfections in fanfiction instead of all the one-note characterizations I tend to find nowadays. Really brings me back to the old days of peak fandom yore

first of all, gushing a little because i fucking loved intermission. It really helped bridge together the gaps between episode 4 and 5, and it also really helped with breathing more life into V’s character and how she sees the others/the world around her. Whenever i show my friends the show i always will insert intermission between the two canon episodes just because i feel it adds that much more to the experience.

I take a lot of inspiration from how V’s written from Bee’s work (and unrelated fic plug but i will also always sing praises for @interstyx ‘s kenosis for more good stuff)

We’ve actually bounced quite a few bits of character writing back and fourth with each other and i got to help with some J characterization in her new project md: catalyst which i’m super excited to get to be a part of 😵‍💫

Got into Witch Hat Atelier last year sometime and yesterday finally got around to drawing Qifrey. And we've got some pictures of Coco too :D

(I'd forgotten my pencil so this was just inked straight without sketching first which is not what I typically do, but I don't think it went tooooooo badly...)

My favourite is definitely the top right one of Qifrey. I was using the manga for reference (hanging out at the public library with a friend so there were books right there), and I really like how it turned out tbh.
