mmmm depends on your definition i think. if you include canon compliant events its def one of my danganronpa fics (a foreign still or light of the moon) but that feels boring to me SO i might say my most recent fic for kamen rider ex-aid (or just mine tonight) since it ends on kindof a sour note for the characters? im not sure tbh, as much as i love angst in a fic i tend to like happier or ambiguous endings.

that's an easy one! my dimension 20: mentopolis fic (whale fall) was written before the finale and was my guess as to what would happen w one of the pairs of characters, and its very sweet and wholesome i think :3

my magnus archives dnd au (write an anthem worth repeating), for aforementioned reasons of not feeling good about the source material anymore :( a shame bc i thought my writing in that fic was nice

i think i'm pretty good at characterization! i get a lot of comments saying i give good insight into how characters feel which is lovely to hear, bc thats what i like most about writing fanfic!

i don't trust myself enough to do it right... i write a lot of fic for japanese media so the most i'll do is use the japanese word for something that can't be translated (names of foods for example)

I finished the main story in xeno 3 so I wanted to write my thoughts on it (or well what i can since im super tired lol)

first of all I love u melia and i always knew you would never be evil, what a beautiful bird i love you 4ever

anyways overall I enjoyed the game a lot, I would put it above 2 (tho i do think 2 does some things better) but it doesn’t really surpass 1, 1 really just holds a special place in my heart for me haha also shulk is there 

in terms of individual character writing tho xeno 3 really does sweep the previous ones though, the main party does really feel like a group of people that slowly become friends and learn to care about each other and I actually ended up liking everyone in the main party which is rare, I also really loved the hero quests and system big time because it fixed a huge issue I had with xeno 2 which was the shitty gacha system they had for recruiting blades, in xeno 2 it felt like they had all of these character designs and quests they wanted the party to recruit but since they didn’t know a way to weave them naturally into the story they just shoved them into a shitty gacha mechanic that is as punishing and time consuming as actual gacha, you can tell most of the effort in the game went into implementing all these little hero storylines and tbh I ended up getting more engrossed into the sidequests then the main story at some point lol

speaking of main story, it definitely peaked with chapter 5 and chapter 6 but after that it kinda loses steam, i’ve seen a lot of people saying the moebius were boring villains and tbh they were except for the ones that had actual connections to the party like Joran and Crys and N/M, but for the rest eeehhh, tho I didn’t really mind Z being evil for the sake of entertainment thing, I enjoy villains that are just unashamedly evil, one of the reasons I didn’t like Amalthus in 2 is because they tried to shoehorn a tragic sad backstory for him to make him sympathetic like right at the end of the game and it was like man..just let him be evil and thats it, not every villains needs to be a sad boy lol, I do hope the DLC gives us more info about him cause I’m like 99% the ‘Z’ stands for Zanza or the side of Klaus from Shulk’s world still trying to hang on to his ideals

ironically I think probably my biggest nitpick with the game was that the environment design idk didn’t feel as enchanting as in 1 and 2, like I don’t think I ever arrived at a location that made me go ‘wow’ like satorl marsh or valak mountain did in 1 or like tantal at night did 2 (you know when the giant space squids show up), elaice highway was probably the closest it got to that but the rest didn’t wow much as much but who knows, I still have the post game to do and like 50% of my enjoyment of these games comes from the post game anyways

oh yeah the battle system!, 2 still has my favourite one along with Xeno X, also thank fucking god they got rid of the field skills 2 had, glad monolith caught up on the fact that absolutely nobody liked that

mmmm, i dunno what else to say, oh yeah the Rex harem photograph ended up being canon all along which sucks but Rex is most likely long dead now so Nia is free to kiss Melia instead, still im surprised xenoblade 2 continues to have bad writing even years after its over

K: what’s the angstiest idea you’ve ever come up with?

veeeeerrrrrryyyyyy timely question considering the fic i am beginning to work on now haha. i have some issues with angst in the sense that a lot of it is just....sort of like exploitative trauma porn in a way. angst for angsts sake vs actually for serving a grander story. so i tend to sort of try and straddle a finer line with it in my own stuff !

there are two, i think. both end with an inevitable ending: death. but both in very different ways. one is a prequel to a fic that i have had on my blog since winter 2021, from what i once was, and it's sort of....leading up to what that fic is sort of dealing with (without really giving too much away). the other one, the one that i am actively planning and embarking on now, is one part relationship drama like...falling, loving, losing, and re-finding but all with the backdrop of the end of the world. so trying to find that person you love and recapture that before its all over. it's inspired by this song and i am quite excited to stick this one out ! (i think its gonna be a dokyeom fic also...so thats fun, cause ive never written him)

N: is there a fic you wish someone else would write (or finish) for you?

i would like to just give all my ideas and thoughts to @97-liners and see her bring them to fruition because her writing is just deeeelicious. apart from that, nothing specific haha i just would like someone else to write nice big, well written fics for pentagon or onf (i havent either but.....i just want to READ them)

mmmm i dont think so. im very focused on quality and it takes a lot for someones writing to really pull me into a fic so there arent really any tropes that i go to regardless. there are some aus i have real soft spots for, like true slow burns, mafia, fantasy, historical...but those are far and few between haha

i dont know if theyre technically tropes but a LOT of things in smutfic really bug me and thats a big part of the reason i dont read much of it haha (apart from the fact that i just...im not really that hard of a fan LOL v soft). anything like...dom/sub dynamics (regardless of who is who i just think theyre misused and when they ARE used right, i just am not that interested in it anyway lol), anything hybrid, family aus, parent aus....i have no interest in them. that being said i will read most of these things if the writing is good enough to hook me regardless of the subject LOL

moo, can you PLEASE give me a quick culinary lesson? I made steak yesterday and … well I should probably should be locked up for how badly I messed it up 🥲

Hmmm well im not much of a chef myself so I dunno how good my advice will be but I suppose I could tell you the things I DO know Lol just don't put too much faith in anything I say! I might be absolutely wrong.

So uhhhhhm, if your steak is frozen, thaw it out in the refrigerator the night before you are going to cook it. Don't thaw steak out in open air. Put them in the fridge or do the cold water method if you can't wait a full day

There are multiple ways to cook a steak, so decide how you wanna do it. Personally I think on the grill is the best way to cook steak because it gets that nice smoky flavor but its not always practical. Its all good though because stovetop or oven broiler work too 👌

An important thing to remember about steak is that different thicknesses of meat are obviously gonna need different cooking times. Its not a one size fits all sorta situation. And it really does not take very long to cook! I mean we are talking less than 20 minutes per side for the average 1.5 inch steak most people use. (Honestly anything thicker than that is too much damn meat for me, man, whew no thanks, I'm fillin up on mashed potatoes anyway)

You also gotta figure out how you want your steak cooked. Most steak cuts taste best at either medium or medium rare, but you should cook your steak to how you like it best. (So long as you're cooking them to safe temperature of course, don't be eating raw meat pls)

Lets see uhhh SEASON that baby. Dont know what seasoning to use? You're in luck because there are lots of pre-made seasonings for various meats at the store okay just find one you like, preferably one that is specifically for steak, and badabing badabang you're a friggin seasoning master. Now, its good to season your steak about 30 minutes before cooking it to let the deliciousness soak in, ya dig? But if you ain't got time for that then thats a-okay man

Don't be afraid of the juices. I know the sight of bloody meat juices awakens your mind's "that aint cooked right" instincts but steak aint like chicken, there's some wiggle room there. Get yourself a meat thermometer and use it to check that its cooked at least to 120° F (this is on the rare end of things though so somewhere around 145° is better and safer). Cooking steak until its well done means its gonna be a little dry, so if you're chewing on your steak and it feels like a chore? Probably cooked it a bit too long.

Personally, I feel like steak is kinda bland tasting on a good day, so if you feel the same way, look up some recipes for stuff to put on top of it! Like a seasoned butter thing or something mmmm that sounds good. Or gravy. Everything tastes better with gravy on it ammiright??

If all else fails, drown it in sauce babeeyyy 😩👌

1. From one to five stars, how would you rate your writing? (No downplaying yourself!)

oh goodness... um, i’d say a 4?? yeah, that sounds about right, only because i often make so many tense mistakes and even when i edit there’s always something to fix. and just,,, im still learning a lot (aren’t we all). plus, sometimes the stuff i put out needs so much more work (see: my recent shisaku fic... i want to tear it up and put it back together.. ugh.. also wt&r, just everything)

2. Why do you write fanfiction?

OH GOODIE! i just... well, i wrote a lot when i was twelve-fourteenish, then kind of on and off through the years. never really had anything to ground me and get me to take writing seriously. and then i found naruto and sakura who has so much unused potential and it just made me so angry to see her treated that way. 

point being, the naruto fandom (more specifically the sakura fandom) rooted me down and allowed me be able to grow as a writer even though i’ve only been posting since january my writing style has changed so much, and i can physically feel myself becoming a better writer. 

plus, i just love it. the thrill of being able to use these characters and pairings and do what i want with them?? i drink it up, i love it!!! its so freeing and such a great way to really dig deep within writing itself. 

3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

i think its just the way i word things, you and a lot of others call it poetry but meh i just call it fancy words or word vomit from my brain AHAHHAHA

also, my thing is God Killers, God Eaters, and Angry Wrathful Women at this point, so maybe thats another thing?

but honestly,,, i have no clue... you’d have to ask my lovely readers, im so thankful for them 😭

6. What element of writing do you find comes easily?

plot probably. this changes often though. usually when i have an idea, the rest comes to mind and i jot it down and come back and change things and stuff, so thats usually pretty easy tbh... at least for now LMAO

and inner dialogue, inner struggles, showing the entire internal thing. its fun writing that angsty part of a story, the small insights into a character’s mind, how miserable and alone they feel. or, perhaps how happy they are, overjoyed and at peace. 

OH AND WORLD BUILDING. i pride myself so much on my world building. i honestly think thats one of the better things im good at! just weaving small details into the text, and subtly building a world within your mind, oh i love it so much!!!!

16. Any guilty pleasure trope(s)?

mmmm nothing really comes to mind? men simping for women who could kick their ass? tho idk if thats really a guilty pleasure....am very fond of same age aus, sometimes mafia aus too... ummm,, yeah

(probably big dick tenzo tbh... and the fact that kakashi’s face is a legal weapon AHAHAHA,,, and broken, vunreble men. also, shattered, all consuming women.)

27. What’s the nicest comment you’ve ever received?

oh god... i cannot chose! you, ele, al, and hika leave the kindest comments, and literally any comment on the things i write just make me so so so so so HAPPY. i just them more than kudos tbh. 

but! one comment on the intimacy of being understood i always come back to. it was left by GuardianMars and they wrote that the fic was like a “love letter to the pairing.” and that well. i think about that comment all the time. 

there have been so many others comments that have utterly touched my heart and that i will go to read on terrible, horrible days and i value ALL comments. especially those who say “i’m rereading this again” or “i’ll read anything you put out” that just. there is something so intimate about that, that utter faith and loyalty that i do not know what to do with. 

its so touching and makes me truly believe in the good of the world. 

29. Have you ever gone outside of your comfort zone for a fic? How did it turn out?

yes! i am attempting to get better at writing smut because ol&w is going to have some fucking in it so i experimented in that shisaku fic and just..... yeah idk man. idk... its something i do want to get better at cause, meh why not? and i want to write some good porn for my readers damnit! HAHAHA 

33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?

hmmm,,, probably that i stress so much and yet so little at the same time? allow me to elaborate! i stress so much about whether my writing is actually good or if people are just being nice LMAO and also posting, i get cold sweats and a thumping heart and yiKES

but also, i enjoy writing so its like “fuck you (jk ily guys) imma write what i wanna!”...do you see my issue? HAHAHA

also, im a planner. most of the time, and a lot of the details in my more serious fics (ol&w) are blink and miss details but they’re important and i LOVE foreshadowing!!!! like yes, i will vaguely mention something and itll simply come back with a vengeance! 

35. Ramble about any fic-related thing you want!

aaaaaa okokok thank you for this ask LMAO i just love talking about writing and rambling (as i often do,, im a long winded person, im very sorry)! 

but anyways! my summer semester just started up and i’m taking three purely online classes and the college im attending (im a dual enrollment student; meaning a high school and college kid,, taking advantage of the system!) fucked up my schedule so! im taking two TWELVE WEEK CLASSES that will end in AUGUST???? and then my fall sem starts five days later so... no summer break for nadia! yay...

writing will be very slow and updates will be too, which i am so sad and frustrated about because i’ve finally hit a paved road and now we’re driving into the forest! all bumps and bruises damnit! BUT worry not! i (as i said above, am i severe planner. every day has a plan, i am also an avid lover of lists also. i have lists for EVERYTHING) am working out a schedule so that i can get all my school shit done as soon as i can (while not failing) and write while hopefully not burning myself out.  

ol&w is such an intricate fic and im truly trying to give it the justice it deserves,,, im just hoping that my dear readers can bear with me HAHAHAHA there is honestly so much going on in that fic; shikamaru’s development, the underlying plot, the hate to love build up, the world building, and then laying down the foundations for the next fic (because yes, this is supposed to be a trilogy.. question is; will i be able to write it?) (answer: maybe. hopefully. i desperately want to but it might take some time.)

BUT ASLO i have so many oneshots i want to write! kisame week! kakashi week! kibasaku long fic! and not to mention my og work that i plan on rewriting and putting up on ao3 because a few people showed some interest. there is just so much to do and write and i am itching to do it all! but. well, but school, and the exhaustion of insomnia, and the weight of stress, sigh. 

shit sucks, it is what it is. but writing is like my safe haven and i just love pouring all myself into my fics and then baring my soul to you all and you take a peek and decide to keep looking. that is my favorite part of this little pocket of tumblr.

Haha not very long. He’s not a fan of relaxing, and even if he’s sitting and talking to someone, he’s gotta have something to do with his hands at least. So in his prison cell where he can’t move his arm or walk around? He’s not vibing

Pretty easy, he’s not really a suspicious person. He doesn’t have much to hide though.

Apple pie. His mom made for him all the time when he was a kid. He still hasn’t had one that tastes quite the same after she died, but he always eats it when he can anyway. It makes him feel comforted, like she’s still with him.

He was one of those kids who liked to start fights all the time. His mom had to patch him up almost every day, scolding him all the while.

Right now, probably when he visited the glowing forest (I think it’s called Lurtam but I don’t remember and my map is far away rn) with Lyra, Kylan, and Nekurai. The trees glow due to this fungi they have a symbiotic relationship with. The four of them camped and talked under the stars, and Lyra made everyone flower crowns (except Kylan wouldn’t wear his because his masculinity is stupid fragile >:( so he gave his to Nekurai and she had two!). It was genrally a good time where everyone was happy together, and it happened like a month or so before Jairus was captured so it’s still fresh in his mind.

He loves them! He likes playing with them a lot. Anytime they ran into kids on their travels he’d always stop and talk to them and show them his arm and shit.

Uh well the original concept was “criminal is chained to the top of a mountain as a sacrifice to the dragons”. Things have changed SIGNIFICANTLY since then lol. Mmmm I don’t think he always had draconic features but that shit was added pretty early on, and it’s pretty much been the same. But! In my experience Karezi is almost always simplified or misrepresented, even by fuckin hussie his goddamn self, who wrote about it a while ago and completely misread his own two characters lmao i have no idea what he was thinking. Karezi is always seen as this “low hanging fruit” type of ship, the “main guy character falls for quirky girl character” trope. And although it definitely started out that way, by the end of the comic (besides the lack of interaction after [s] game over) the characters grew and changed and their relationship would have also had it been explored more in the story. NOT TO START MYSELF ON A RANT HERE BUT: the retjohn and “you dont need him” was not the “end of karezi” it was just poorly handled and because hussie has clear favorites in his own story and was out to write mindfuckery, not an exploration of characters and their motivations. APPARENTLY. ANYWAY. (RWBY) Whiterose. As my favorite (non-polyamourous) ship, i CONSTANTLY see whiterose misunderstood and mischaracterized and honestly its super painful cause i fuckin love both of those characters and it pains me to see some people just not get like any of it.
