EHEHEH thank you im so happy you guys are enjoying it!! it took me so long😭 i started it during finals around late nov-early dec which was a horrible idea cause all i wanted to do was work on that while i had the responsibility of my college classes so i just worked on all the lineart and then focused on finishing the semester for me to work on it again

but then i got a job😭 so i was coming home tired only wanting to play marvel rivals so that further delayed me finishing it until now lmfao

the only motivation for me making this comic was that last panel, i just wanted to draw that but bc im insane and love putting lore into everything i had to make it into a comic.

no matter what is happening in their relationship, he will always protect mike in any way he can. once he sensed the demodog, he quickly entered survival mode and found a way to protect himself and mike’s clumsy ass

How do you think Lorsan/Bryon/Lyca would react if they overheard Merlin talking about having a crush on them?

Oooh, good question! Lorsan would immediately join the conversation, not even trying to hide the fact that he was eavesdropping, wanting to know in detail how Merlin feels about him. Bryon would pause and listen for a bit, but would probably be too shy to actually do anything about it. Lyca would also pause and listen, making sure not to reveal that she had been eavesdropping, but would start taking steps towards letting Merlin know that the feeling was mutual

Fairly readable, I would say. I sometimes have things like [villain] in place of a name, but that's about it, I don't like skipping scenes.

For the second draft, I start over from the beginning. For stuff I'm fairly certain I want to keep, I reread and rewrite only the parts I want to change. For things I already know I need to rework, I tend to just rewrite them from scratch, especially with scenes that I want to go in a different direction or that were underwritten. In my current second draft, quite a lot is changing, which is part of the reason I'm stuck right now x'D

🪐 No one seems to fully understand how Aquarius Moons work, including Aquarius Moons themselves.

🪐 I love how heavy Mars influence shows up in people's physical appearance! I’ve always noticed that people with a lot of mars dominance in their chart have a big forehead and/or a widows peak, as well as rosy cheeks or a naturally reddish/pinkish undertone to their skin.

🪐 Undeveloped Virgo and Sagittarius placements absolutely do not give a fuck about your feelings. They can be extremely self centred I've noticed to almost a dangerous detriment.

🪐 A lot of people give Scorpio women the Mean Girl rep, but honestly I think that title should be lent to Virgo women too 😭 They tend to have this hangup about perfection, and I think when undeveloped it shows more as an aversion to anything 'weird' or against the status quo.

🪐 Cardinal Mars signs (that's Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) reallyyyyy can't hide their dislike for things 😅 people, food, celebrities, whatever. If they don't announce it verbally then you can at least tell by their face lmao.

(I once had to put on my ~emergency socks~ when I was wearing heels on a night out, and every time someone came up to me to tell me how nice my outfit looked I would say thanks and then just not stop yapping about how the socks were not originally apart of the outfit 😭 I couldn't let people think I approved of socks and sandals alksjdgfsjdh)

Bullrider! Ari Levinson x Reader

He tried, he really did, to somehow get to you, but he didn’t know how. It never seemed to be the right time. He’d never been so drawn to a person, never wanted to be so good for them, and yet you were almost unattainable. Just out of his reach.

The first time Ari met you was at a bar, at some girls night that he couldn’t dare to disrupt. He’d heard too many horror stories from the other riders about groups of women these days. It was better to let you come to him. Which you did, standing by his stool to grab another round for your friends. You had a charming smile, an easy demeanor, laughed at his one-off statements and jokes that others dismissed. And then just like that, you were gone.

Until the next time. Ari hadn’t been having a good day. He got thrown off the bull at the rodeo, scored low, and was ready to take a walk of shame right to the grocery store at midnight. The ice cream aisle called his name to tend to his wounds, both physically and metaphorically. And there you were: right in the cooler next to him, taking the last pint of his favorite. How could he blame you? You had good taste. And far too big of a heart, offering him the carton when you caught a glimpse of his black eye. He politely turned it down, but suggested coffee as a way to make it even. To which you replied that your boyfriend wouldn’t like that very much. So he left it there.

And then there was the time when he saw you at a restaurant. One far too rich for his blood, but a potential new sponsor was wining and dining him. Ari didn’t need to be there that long. He was gonna take the deal with minimal negotiation, when you caught his eye, sitting at a candlelit dinner all alone. You checked your watch for the seventh time in five minutes. That jerk stood you up. Ari accepted the new partnership under the stipulation that they pay for your meal and a ride home.

And then there was today. A really important day for you. Your first shot at a live broadcast as a sports reporter after years of simply writing teleprompter scripts. Your network was a big one, rewarding you with the opportunity to be the first to interview the winner of the bull riding tournament that had taken up the arena all weekend. As you made your way to the podium, you couldn’t help the way your smile grew even bigger than the one you slapped on for TV. The handsome bull rider ran a hand through his sweaty hair and beamed at you, coming right up to the camera despite his reputation for almost never taking interviews. You had to just roll with it, as you read the scrawled cue cards next to the lens.

“Mr. Levinson, what comes next?”

Ari leaned down the the microphone, sparkling blue gaze locking on to yours as he pulled a rose out of the bouquet in his hand and held it out for you.

“Next, I ask a very special lady that I’ve been pining after for months to go on a date with me and seal the deal with a kiss.”

For a second, Ari was the only other thing in the world. You grabbed the stem of the rose out of his hand, furiously nodded, and braced yourself against his chest as he tipped you back, locking his lips with yours.

You discussed this already in your character analysis of James Norrington, but I was wondering what specific sort of ego death / metaphorical death James would have to experience if he did survive? Any ideas on what specifically would have to happen to him to achieve the proper character arc completion?

Ooooh that's a good question! Thank you for taking an interest in my original post :>

Now, what specific ego death would James have to go through to complete his character arc... well, let's get into it! To begin with, the most important thing that needs to happen is for James to realize that his Commodore/Admiral persona is not as just or righteous as he thought it was, and that most of the decisions he had made trying to hold onto that persona either directly or indirectly got people hurt, or even killed. I believe that James would begin to question his decisions up to this point as Beckett starts mass murdering people in the name of ending piracy, but he would try to ignore it and convince himself everything was fine, up until his reunion with Elizabeth where she informs him of her father's death and Beckett's deception on the matter, and he fully, completely realizes that he has let himself become corrupt and complacent to corruption, and that he needs to change.

After this, there are a few ways his "death" scene could go. Maybe he fakes his death so he can escape with Elizabeth without raising suspicion. Maybe he does get injured as he escapes with Elizabeth, and the crew of the Dutchman don't think he'll survive. Either way, the crew of the Dutchman need to think that the Admiral is dead - not just that he deserted, because he had done that before as a Commodore and still came back, but properly dead. Because as far as James is concerned, the Admiral is dead. Now that he has found a way off the Dutchman, James needs to come to terms with the death of his own internal identity. He is no longer Admiral James Norrington, Scurge of Piracy, and upholder of righteousness. He's just James. And he needs to fix the mistakes he has made. So he accompanies Elizabeth to Shipwreck Cove, and gives the pirates all the information he can about Beckett's approaching fleet. The number of ships, how well supplied they are, any weaknesses that could be exploited - anything and everything of relevance that could help the pirates take Beckett down. And then we get to the final battle - the Dutchman versus the Pearl.

Now, there are only two ways I can see this going that would be a satisfactory end to this part of James's character arc. Either he would die on the Dutchman, sacrificing himself for Elizabeth, Jack, or Will, or he survives the final battle, and pledges himself to Elizabeth and her unborn son, Jack and the Pearl, or Will and the Dutchman. Choosing to pledge himself to Elizabeth would be the easiest option, as there is no real moral dilemma or personal conflict there, and he'd be doing a good thing by looking after her and her son. Choosing to pledge himself to Will and the Dutchman would be a bit more difficult because of his personal conflict with both the ship and its new captain, but it would be rather poetic for his arc to end with him helping ferry the souls of the dead when so many had died because of his actions. Choosing to pledge himself to Jack and the Pearl would be the most difficult, both because of his personal conflict with Jack, and the moral dilemma of becoming a pirate after having spent so long in the Navy, even if the Navy turned out to not be as righteous as he had originally thought. It would definitely take him some time to come to terms with the decision, and he would need to find a balance between being a pirate, and being a good man(thankfully Jack already haa some experience in that department). Ultimately though, there is no correct answer for who James would end up choosing, and it's really up to personal interpretation. As a Sparrington shipper, it's clear who I think James would end up choosing, but if you think he'd be more likely to choose Will or Elizabeth, your opinion is equally as valid as mine!

There have been lots of books that have influenced me, mainly when it comes to ideas. Most of my stories grow from one idea that I then mix with a couple of others from different sources.

Although my current WIP actually did spring from my annoyance at one particular source (which I won't name, since it was just a story posted on the internet) that very much annoyed me in how it portrayed consent and (my beloathed) flustered = in love/lust trope *cough*. And then it kind of spiraled very, very much and now it doesn't even really resemble the daydream that started it too much anymore.

One thing that does influence me more than any specific book or author is media criticism. There is something about people analyzing a piece of media (that I might not even know), pointing out what did and didn't work for them that pretty reliably makes me want to write and to try and incorporate the things that were pointed out (or else, try to pay attention to how I did those things in my own writing).

Warnings: there will be thirst, there will be smut, and there will be hilarity. Welcome, friends old and new, to how I approach everything. It's even sorta an argument, if you can believe it 😂 [you can and will every time]. MINORS DNI.

Since we've established that Ari gets super impatient during travel because he can't touch you in transit...sometimes.

For this particular occasion you have already put your foot down: he will not be getting any until that camp site is set up. No erect tent, no erection. Handle that before you handle this (in his pants), essentially, and Ari agreed.

That was before everything went wrong, and he ends up flinging the last quarter of the supplies out the back of the truck because this is taking too long.

Like, he's not yelling at you to move your ass, carrying small arm-fulls of stuff the moderate distance from where he can park to where your camp can be made, but hurry your ass up, woman.

He empties the car entirely but can't find the tent stakes. He just moves on. There's one pole missing from the pile, but the tent stays upright and has enough shape that he hopes you won't notice.

You're in the middle of organizing the food coolers when Ari tosses you unceremoniously over his shoulder. Before you can balance on the uneven ground, his thumbs hook in the band of your pants and yanking down. You practically fall through the opening of the tent laughing, kicking your bottoms the rest of the way off as Ari strips and climbs in over.

He curses as his foot tangles in the sleeping bag and he tip forward. With what you can't quite describe as grace, Ari scrambles to his side, tucking one knee up and resting his head in his hand, nakedness on full display.

"Hey," he huffs, smiling. "You good? I'm good."

Ari's never been a stagnant type of man. During sex, he reaches out to grab and grip things. He spreads his legs out and moves you in any which way he pleases (within reason). He does not hold back.

In so doing, on this occasion, he manages to collapse the tent on top of you both, knock over the stack of coolers just outside, and bust the zipper of the the double-wide sleeping bag.

You'd roll your eyes if you weren't so worn out, or perhaps if he could see once the loose tarping drapes over you. Ari tries to hold it away from you as he gets up, but it's difficult.

He finally stands straight in the midday sun, scoffing, "wow, what a mess."

You can't stop laughing. This is exactly how you expected this trip to go.
