it took me some time, but I have finally developed them. but just note:

1.) these guys are probably only exclusive to my genderbend au and

2.) all of them are dead as of the current timeline of the game 😅

So here's the first one (and the one I'm most excited about cuz I've drawn him a few times):

Lt. Colonel Nathaniel Rudboys (aka Papa Rudboys)

Story description :

A real friendly and caring guy to everybody. He loves his daughter and wife very dearly and hates seeing others getting in harm's way. Unfortunately, he got brutally murdered in his own home by a doppel. Truly a sad and unplanned tragedy.

his death wasn't unplanned....

as the other heads of military supported the trojan horse project, he staunchly opposed it.

"the creation and utilization of man-eating, shape shifter monsters was such a deranged idea. it needs to be stopped" he loudly opposed to the higher ups.

he was seen a threat to the peaceful support between the military and the project.

"he needs to be taken care of discreetly." the trojan horse project's director thought

In the end, no one outside of keppler's circle ever found out about that truth

not even mckendra and stephanie.

to the outsiders, his death was taken as a tragic and unfortunate event. while those in the military we're told that his death was justified.

they were told the lieutenant was planning to leak the information about the project to an enemy country. he was then labeled as a traitor within the military. of course, that was a lie from keppler's inner circle, but know one knew that

keppler knew how to hide her tracks too well

The foxes only won the championship because of demon worship. Hear me out, because this will take a bit to explain but it all has to do with that wesninski guy.

We all know the foxes were a useless untalented mess until that guy joined and suddenly they started winning games.

That whole thing with his father being a serial killer/mass murderer? Important. The whole mafia/organized crime explanation? I just don't buy it. No mafia or gang in documented history has ever needed THAT much killing to sustain themselves, and that many people disappearing will always attract attention which gangs would rather avoid, cuz it get expensive buying yourself out of that. So clearly there was a different reason for all that murdering. And i think it was satanist human sacrifices. There's a reason red hair is associated with witchcraft.

So back to the foxes: the wesninski kid arrives, one of their players dies of an "overdose" and suddenly the foxes start playing well? I think they, under the guidance of witch wesninski jr. sacrificed seth gordon in exchange for exy talent. But of course one sacrifice isn't enough to satisfy a demon so they promised riko's soul as well if they won the championship. Thats why minyard was bold enough to attack riko so openly on camera, because the devil would come for them if they didn't fulfill their part and deliver riko. And they did, riko is dead because of them. Sacrificed to the devil for something as ridiculous as an exy trophy.

Yes and sort of!! I have absolutely not abandoned it if that's what you're asking!

It WILL be a fic on AO3 eventually 🫡 however I am not actively immediately working on it and it's unfortunately taking a long time, mostly for personal reasons lol. My mental bandwidth has not been high for a few months and I'm about on a shoestring with what personal projects I can work on atm 😅 hopefully that will change very soon tho! I'm still finishing chapters here and there but yeah it's just a slower pace.

That being said! Six chapters are sitting in the beta revision/almost-final draft as we speak, and.. if you're real curious... you can find six mid-draft chapters as well as a few other secret scenes/snippets scattered across my patreon for 5usd 👀 plenty of words for u there

🏴‍☠️ Silver is usually the morning person lol. He tends to like waking up early to get a morning start.

🏴‍☠️ You on the other hand weren't. Whenever he gets up you tend to go to his spot for warm and scent. While curl up in a blanket.

🏴‍☠️ Usually he lets you sleeps in since he understands you need some beauty sleep.

🏴‍☠️But when he wants to wake you up oooh boy he has his own ways of making it happen. ;3

🏴‍☠️Before he use his secret weapon, he'll give a sweet morning kiss and use his large good hand to gently caress your face, while whisper quietly its time wake up.

🏴‍☠️ but if that didn't work. Time for his secret weapon. >;) Cooking your favorite breakfast will be a way to get you out of the bed without hesitate. How could you not resist on his delicious meals? He makes the best food! XD

Flint:

🏴‍☠️ While you are the morning person, your captain isn't. lol

🏴‍☠️ The reason is one he's has a terrible insomnia. Staying up late working or paranoid about his treasures being stolen. Most of the time you convinced him to sleep with you on nights.

🏴‍☠️Also he has a little secret that he enjoys cuddling. You find yourself waken up in mornings with him wrapping his arms around you, holding you close enough that you hear him breathing calmly.

🏴‍☠️ It'll take you a while to get yourself out of the bed. lol. He's like a cat that makes decisions if your free to go or not. 😆

🏴‍☠️Saying you need to use a restroom would do. And after that you let him sleep for a couple hours.

🏴‍☠️ You really didn't want him to be cranky towards the crew. So you let him wake up whenever on his own. But he insist on have you stay with him and wait until B.E.N bring breakfast with coffee or tea.

exactly yeah! because i knew i wanted Thad to reclaim the name for himself (with the whole "it means what i say it means" mantra) it needed to mean more to him than just a representation of Thawne Legacy Kill The Allens etc.

a reoccurring thing in Frequency that i liked to lean into was this idea of Good Inertia and Bad Impulses (bc Bart and Thad as narrative foils continues to rotate in my brain forever). i think Bart's solo does a cool exploration of both good and bad impulses throughout the run, it's kind of the central conflict of the whole thing, but it's usually in regards to Bart either unwittingly getting himself into trouble or accidentally solving problems by just leaping into everything without thinking twice. but the concept of inertia is pretty exclusively portrayed as negative. which is fair, the phrase "coasting on inertia" is in the lexicon for a reason. but i think it deserved a fair shot - the concept of continuing in spite of everything can actually be a really good instinct when you're in a bad situation. keeping up that momentum, moving forward no matter what, there's definitely something inspirational there that appeals to me.

and an aspect of impulses that didnt get as much spotlight in Bart's solo was the kinds of impulses that recoil at the thought of unpleasantness. the impulse to hide from responsibility, the impulse to distract from pain, to avoid discomfort, etc. (big part of that is because in Bart's solo, most of the worst moments of his life hadn't happened to him yet) so i wanted to explore it a little in Frequency

anyway yeah, Bad Impulses and Good Inertia. which was kinda in conversation with Bart and Thad's dispositions, and how they run counter to typical hero/villain narratives. (Bart doesn't really get people, goes his own way, has pretty emotionally selfish and sometimes violent tendencies when he's pissed off. Thad's much more of a people person, lives for praise and pleasing others, seems to forget to do violence when he's supposed to i.e. that time he put Bart in VR jail even though Bart was completely incapacitated and by Thawne logic Thad should've just killed him. it just... doesn't occur to him as a thing he should do lmao)

32. A kiss while someone watches

Nathaniel never really saw the point of kissing until he was brought to the nest. Or rather, until the first time Jean Moreau backed him up against the wall of their shared dorm during an argument. With his head craned back to look up at his new partner, he’d been equal parts confused and surprised when the argument ended abruptly with Jean’s mouth against his.

That was years ago though. And now Nathaniel very much understands the appeal. Especially when Jean gets creative. He tilts his head back to let his partner kiss up his neck and hears a choked gasp from across the room. On Jean’s bed sits Kevin, the only other person Nathaniel’s ever enjoyed kissing. 

Kevin found out about them a few months ago and now one of his pastimes is ditching Riko to come here and watch. Sometimes he joins in, but not tonight. He’s not allowed. He pissed Jean off in practice earlier and when you piss off Jean, you piss off Nathaniel. That’s how they work. They’re a pair, a set. Partners in every meaning of the word.

But Nathaniel is almost inclined to forgive Kevin his stupidity now, because just look at him. His eyes are smoldering emeralds and locked on Nathaniel’s face, some emotion plastered over his own. He’d never apologize in a million years, Nathaniel doesn’t think he knows how. He doesn’t need to know the words, he’s never wrong. Or so he believes.

Suddenly Jean’s knee shifts between his legs and Nathaniel groans loudly before his sense comes back to him. He freezes for a beat, his heart pounding in his chest. They have to keep quiet, because if anyone heard… They would be split up.

That cannot happen. Nathaniel clamps his hand over his mouth as his partner sucks away at his neck and Kevin makes some sort of sound. Finally, Jean raises his head and looks across the room. He swallows, his adam’s apple bobbing in a way that makes Nathaniel want to catch it with his teeth and rip it out. Jean looks from Kevin to Nathaniel and raises a brow. Nathaniel blinks twice, yes.

Jean smiles and nods before gesturing at Kevin. “Get over here and shut him up, would you?”

Kevin is off the bed in an instant, coming to kneel beside the bed and capture Nathaniel’s mouth with his own. A few seconds and Jean is pulling Kevin towards him. He kisses him and Nathaniel lays back, watching with rapt attention until they part— both panting. After a moment, Jean leans in close to Kevin and whispers something to the striker, who nods.

“Yeah, I’ll keep him quiet.”

"Believe me, it's easier said than done." Jean says back, then he's reaching for Nathaniel's waistband.

Saw your post about the multitudes of Irish accents and which Kevin would have. I like the idea of tiny Cork-accented Kevin then having so much media training that he develops a talk show host/sports caster accent and cadence until he evens out from being around the adult-college range Ravens that are presumably plucked from all over.

For the record, I’m not even Irish myself I just ended up with a language, dialect, and accent special interest as someone autistic from the Rural Southern US and wanted to pick apart how I accidentally didn’t have the same accent as those around me (it was the autism and hyperlexia)

I don’t care how realistic it is I will always love the headcanon for any character that they covered up/lost their accent but it comes out when they’re sleepy/drunk/around other people with that accent.

Kevin having the FAINTEST Irish accent when he says certain words. His T’s and D’s and the ends of words sometimes slip out a little cork sounding, or something. Kevin training himself out of it but the second he’s around an Irish person he’s no longer Kevin Day he’s Caoimhín Lá and he’s singing the Irish national anthem and announcing his stance on a united Ireland. Kevin gets a couple drinks into him and he’s an unintelligible country man. When he got his tattoo it sounded more like

Sure lookit ya know yerself, let yer man Riko be king bai.

(He would however lose 1000 sexiness points if he had a cork accent unfortunately)

The final aftg au remains in the works as we speak 😌 at this point it's all editing and organizing and paring down to get a publishable result lol

As for West Facing! That project is still mostly in the planning phases, I might have enough of a projected timeline to pants it but I don't plan on getting anything down for real until the aftg au is done! One thing at a time for my own sake 😅 I definitely have snippets of it and will continue to write snippets, but those will probably mainly be on patreon for the foreseeable future.
