This is a little late, but happy Audio Drama Sunday! It was International Women’s Day and the 42nd anniversary of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, so naturally we wanted to recommend science fiction podcasts made by and starring women! This week we’re recommending:

Vast Horizon by Fool and Scholar Productions

This is a survival horror with a disabled Chinese protagonist, a woman who’s a brilliant scientist with a terrible past, surviving a terrifying emergency on a space ship with only an AI for company

We Fix Space Junk by @battlebirdproductions

A sci-fi comedy about two women, one of them disabled and bisexual, travelling around the universe fixing things. Oh, also most of the galaxy is owned by a dystopian corporation called Automnicon. It’s probably fine. Right?

Janus Descending by No Such Thing Productions

A sci-fi horror written by and starring a black woman, it’s about two xeno-anthropologists exploring the ruins of an alien civilisation. It’s terrifying, beautiful, and ultimately tragic.
