Op to the asexuality post here! Hello! I was actually wrong about the demi bit! Long story short the post was just a rant and I didn't expect a single note, I misunderstood demi and edited it but it was way too late and out of my hands!! 😫

As an actual demi who has had some, if not a great deal of, involvement in the ace community, I stand by what I said - the thing is that “asexual” refers, of necessity, to two distinct things: there’s “ace” in contrast to “demi”, “grace”, “verisexual”, &c; and there’s “ace” as an abbreviation for “somewhere on the ace spectrum other than verisexual/allosexual/whatever-the-term-is-this-month”.

Demis are ace in the latter sense, but clearly not the former.  I interpreted the post to be using that sense, and under that interpretation it’s correct to say that there are aces who have that experience.  Under the narrower meaning of the term, of course, it isn’t.

But either way, the rant was something that needed to happen, which is probably why it got all those notes.
