You tilted your head, about to ask why, when you saw the glimmer of a trap—a familiar mechanism gleaming in the dim light, its intricate gears and pressure plates poised to spring into action at the slightest misstep.

“Wow, you’re useful for once,” you teased.

Griefer snorted, flipping his baseball cap backward. “N0 N33D T0 TH4NK M3. JUST…H3Y, L1ST3N. I…” He trailed off, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. His cocky demeanor faltered for just a moment.

“What is it?” you asked. The sudden seriousness in his tone caught you off guard.

“Wait, did you just…?” you started.
