YES I am!! Sorry friends for dropping off the face of the earth, I got a job and I had to move and it was a lot. But I am less stressed now and I hope I can get back to posting more regularly!! I really missed it (ﾉ^ヮ^)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧

I will never leave tumblr because there is no other place on the internet where I can tell people that 80% of the time when I try to introduce myself to someone in the office that I haven’t met yet I get so focused on smiling and holding eye contact that I forget the part where I actually have to introduce myself (°□°)

Random thought, but I kinda like to imagine that Jack isn't the "real Englishman" he tries to portray, but that he's actually Irish (like the actor who plays him) and he just really tried his best to fit in and not stand out through his accent when he decided to move to England after his parents died (which he might've done because it would've made him sad if he stayed after their death.)

And I also like to imagine, that Jack's gf/fiancée/wive wasn't actually English as well, but from Scotland. (Now let's just hope that she wasn't the same girl who Ollie fell in love with back then- Although I guess it would make sense that he had such a strong bond to Margaret because he felt responsible for her as well - like a stepfather, kinda)

Anyways, I think that after taking Joy for years, Jack has probably long forgotten about his roots and where he came from. So now he truly believes that he's the perfect "real englishman" that everyone expects him to be.

Two hours. I got two hours of sleep. I’m so frustrated with myself.

Went to the ER. Everyone was very nice. They gave me an IV bag of fluids (I was dehydrated! Sad cactus!) and a little ativan (teeny dose), which was nice at the time! Just a little amount, but the (mostly) quiet room, fluids, and meds managed to relax me a lot. Could have fallen asleep if the bed was actually comfortable. Then they packed me up, gave me another little Ativan to take home for tonight, and said they’d contact my primary. Cool cool. Got some much needed food on the way home, then took the pill and got comfy. Again, smallest dosage they make, so no feeling too good. Managed to muscle past my anxiety to fall asleep, and… 2 hours. Woke up. Tried to go back to sleep. Too frustrated and anxious and I feel like crap. What should I do? Just eat a whole gummy and hope that knocks me out? For me, that feels like playing roulette. Could work, yeah. Could make me sleepy and pliable. Could also backfire and make me feel sick and extra anxious for another 5 or 6 hours. What do I do? Roll back up to the ER? “Hewwo, I woke up and I need more benzos 👉👈🥺” haha funny, but I’ve seriously been thinking about it 😑

God, I’m miserable. Been sitting outside on the porch for a bit. Not quite an hour. Needed to get out of the apartment, but tbh, nearly 4am outside isn’t doing much for me. I just feel alone. It wouldn’t help with sleeping, per se, but just someone, I dunno, hugging or holding me for a few minutes would honestly save me a little. What a mess. Oh yeah, and apparently my kidneys are going 👎👎👎 down. Bad meat. Not great test results. Not what I’m focusing on tonight. I’m a mess. Anyway, this was my update. Sorry for all the walls of text. Suppose this is mainly for me to look back on in the future, but can’t pretend it’s not at least a little validating to put this all out into the world and knowing that maybe one or two people read this and I didn’t suffer completely without recognition. Yeah…

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake on the west coast of Japan is actually horrifying--it was already scary enough experiencing it as a 3.0 here on the east coast, so I cannot imagine how much more terrifying it must've been for the people on the west coast

ty for ur posts about hamas. u dont have to publish this but ive just been seeing terminally online Twitter Takes constantly for the past few days of people who have done absolutely no personal research going back and forth trying to Win At Activism and accidentally regurgitating hamas propaganda while calling anything that criticizes them israeli propaganda. i think that probably most people who have done enough research to understand that hamas is awful and complicated and oppressing the palestinian people are likely the ones who know when not to speak about things they don’t fully comprehend. so we get the loud annoying ignorant ones instead🙃 seeing someone with sense actually correcting some of that has been helpful for me personally lol

@immaterial-girl Sorry this took me a min to get to, I've been busy. But yes I absolutely agree. It is exhausting to see so many people saying with their whole chest that Hamas militants are freedom fighters and civilian women and children deserve to die....while also not being able to tell you what year Hamas last held an election in if you held a gun to their heads. Lol. Like man. Maybe if you don't know what the hell you are talking about you shouldn't have such strong opinions? But that is a foreign concept here on tumblr.edu :/

This isn't me being gatekeepy btw I'm being genuine because I'm gonna be honest I've probably only actually read about five series and every thing else I've gotten from movies/series, online, or fanon. I know all the important events. Have I actually read them? No because my ADHD just wouldn't. And I can't be assed having to read important events if it's in a shit run by a bad writer.

Just realized that there were a lot of like... those musical groups geared to very young kids back when I was young. Are they still a thing on tv, or is this one of those things where YouTube has filled that niche? Just out of curiosity.

Let's see here... (starts counting) we had Hi-5, the Doodlebops, and I know a ton of animated or cartoony shows have songs, but I think the Backyardigans can get an honourary mention among these groups too (they deserved it).

And of course, we can't forget about...

...the Wiggles! (For context, this photo is of their first quartet. They all have colour-coded shirts: Greg is the main vocalist and in the yellow shirt. Murray is in the red shirt and he's their epic guitarist. The one in the blue shirt is Anthony, who used to be mostly on drums, but he plays various other instruments and also sings. And Jeff, the one in the purple shirt, is the main pianist/keyboardist and accordion player. The band still exists, but with new members now.)

Fun fact by the way: back in the day, some edgy older kids / grown-ups tried to do the whole Steve Blue's Clues thing and say that Greg, the original Yellow Wiggle, died. But although he took a break for health reasons, he's actually very much alive and well to this day! These days he's also spreading awareness about defibrillators too, which is neat.
