I think that in normal circumstances, the boys have boring old man habits. Specifically I can see them having a set time of day for listening to the radio. It's something both their generations have in common, both for music and the news, and I feel like it's a little piece they would both want to maintain. Something just to feel a little normal and real.

Warrior Nun Commentfic Fest! Week 4/June Round Up

This week we've had 7 new prompts, adding up to our 38 total, as well as 4 new fills joining the others for a sum of 20!

Starting off with a wary, mourning dr. Salvius, to Jillian treating a seriously injured Mother Superion, to how Kristian and Jillian might have first met, to an intense portrait of Ava and Lilith's tumultuous relationship, you could say these last seven days passed with a bit of a bang.

Despite there being still some time to go in June, this week pretty much marks the half-point of the event and now we enter its second and last portion. June was a month with a lot of variety in prompts and fills, with underdog ships being surprisingly more represented in the entries as opposed to the bigger ones -- which might be a breath of fresh air as well as beg the question of where the others have gone! :)

There's a lot to read if you haven't looked through the entries already and there are many scrumptious prompts waiting to be picked up as well. Multiple fills are allowed, so it's perfectly possible to give a prompt someone has already written for another spin, but there are some very eye-catching ideas that haven't been used yet hiding in between some of our fills!

now and then i forget that the job i worked for many many years was like. nonstop trauma and horrifying shit and it is not in fact normal to have seen some of the shit i’ve seen or done some of the shit i’ve done. and then i’ll talk to my other friends who escaped and like. they are /broken/. i feel like i came out relatively unscathed psychologically compared to a lot of them. and it’s like i forget how genuinely fucked up our jobs were until i have one of my friends sobbing and apologizing to me for things that were beyond his control while he’s still having horrible ptsd nightmares about it all these years later and then it occurs to me that oh yeah maybe we all shouldn’t have had to go through that
